okay but phase opinion time i truly think that it would've been better if the reason ceret did what she did wasn't like changed. because i idk it doesnt feel like redemption?? yes that sounds fucking dumb and idk rude but like. c!eret was selfish and power-hungry. cdream took advantage of that. he turned her against her peers. and from what we know she wasn't exactly opposed. she showed no guilt in the aftermath until she started realizing. wait. i fucked up. once cdream started blatantly using her and realizing she had just made herself more powerless by cutting off all good relations. it was growth. she started out with really shitty intentions but ended up realizing her fault and went on to work her ass off (sometimes) to make up for it.

one thing that always frustrates me is when we claim that jesus was “fully man, fully god” bc that’s simply not possible unless in contradiction with the bible. the bible has multiple accounts of stating that all humans are born into the world full of sin, the capacity to continuous sin, and the inevitability of that capacity. yet, as stated in the bible once again, jesus never sinned. he was ‘blameless and pure’. therefore, jesus could not be fully man. it just really ticks me off bc people will say this phrase and follow it up by stating that jesus can understand what you’re going through because he was human. like, yeah, he had connections and relationships and experienced the earth as one born to it, but he doesn’t even know what it’s like to sin. not even once. bro is not human (not by bible definition, at least).

i think fandom has this issue of assuming that bc someone doesn't explicitly mention something in their own meta that they're "ignoring" or "erasing" it's presence in canon, when the reality is it's just not the focal point of what they're discussing.

Take Star Wars for example. Ppl will go to bat on behalf of the Jedi being good and righteous or justified or whatever, and basically discredit every argument that Jedi dob't let Anakin have love without having to sneak around and they'll so often be like "You're ignoring/erasing the presence of love outside of romantic/sexual relationships when you say this, and they never deny him those types of love so"

Actually we're not. Not every single reference to the word "love" has to encompass everything love can be or has been. Ppl are allowed to say "love" and only mean one kind of love.

And further on that point, ppl will also claim controlling someone's right to express an emotion toward another person is "good actually" because it allows them to enforce only the ideologies and mindset of the people trying to control them.

As if that's not literal cult shit lmfao.

Imo the Jedi are flawed and nuanced. Not a single group is wholely right or wholely wrong in Star Wars, even though there are clearly lines drawn in the sand to indicate "good" and "bad" ideologies. Obviously you have the Bad Guys and the Good Guys but the world of star wars allows a lot more nuance and gray area between those two sides than a LOT of people give it credit for.

But objectively speaking, I don't care what KIND of love it is.

Controlling which emotions another person or group of people is allowed to feel and/or express is never "good" or "justified". It's never something that should be praised as a means of enforcing any kind of hierarchy. The Jedi Alliance is just as much a hierarchy as any of the other factions in Star Wars, and if all you can do is brown nose it for them until you can't see nuance and logic in different opinions than yours, you're literally missing the entire point of the franchise lmao

Bestie idk how to explain to you that the option to turn off anon was always there. I also dunno how to explain to you that sock puppet accounts will forever exist and be able to send hate asks, anon or not. This isn’t going to change the rate of hate messages long term.

This will, however, decrease outside account interaction over time as you’ll need a tumblr account to send any asks. You’ll stop getting anon asks about your ao3 fics and art (and it hurts small businesses that operate off tumblr!! ) simply because no one will want to make an account to ask a simple question or comment.

I would really rather that they crack down on the porn bots, TERFS, and neo nazis that plague the site before opting into corporate consumerism.

as nice as it is to see comments on posts, i'm getting really fucking tired of seeing comments like:

it's kind of draining to see all of that because 1) it's not my ask box nor a request 2) it feels like a demand and 3) sometimes commentors can be rude about it

i know that it's never their intent and they're just excited but fucking hell. writing takes a lot out of me, like my time and motivation.

i'm very picky about tv shows, but my pickiness has only an incidental relationship to whether or not a show is "good". it needs to scratch a particular itch in my brain at the right moment. do i know what the right moment is? no. do i know what the itch is? also no. i can be relied upon to get instantly bored of 85% of tv shows and then turn the remaining 15% into a central facet of my personality for 3-5 business months and even i am incapable of predicting which one it'll be ahead of time.
