Every time someone goes off on this philosophical rant about the gods I'm just.
Yeah! Okay! Feel however you feel about the gods! But Predathos is an unknown quantity powerful enough to eat MULTIPLE gods, which was an active threat to Exandria at a previous time. Are you SO dedicated to the desire to "free" mortals from the gods that you're ready to stake the life of everyone on the planet on something called "the God Eater" knowing where to stop?
If yes, I'm going to need you to take two BIG steps back and walk me through your research on a Predathos muzzle in excruciating detail before I'm on board.

fic idea: reincarnated scarlet king!cyno x reincarnated flower goddess!reader
kind of reminds me of hades and persephone
even moreso bc anubis and hades are counterparts - but Also anubis and hermes are counterparts and hermes is also thoth's counterpart. y'know who thoth's wife is? Ma'at, the goddess of truth so.... Judgement!Cyno x Truth!Reader
(also his talent Featherfall Judgement? the feather is the Feather of Ma'at when Anubis judges the dead in the Duat and Thoth records the results and if the soul is lighter than the feather they go to Osiris who would let them into Aaru so even better)

[mine] by means of [violent]
— 𝐢. sender has just told receiver "you belong to me"
— 𝐢𝐢. sender has harmed someone who threatened the receiver
An unreadable gaze followed the escape of a thief before vanishing point, fended off by one certain Poe for reasons undisclosed. Lingering vestiges of magic clung to the air, residual like the sweet notes of a fruit sliced to sweeten and incense water. The surefire case at least if that fruit were rotten instead. All sour peel and bitter rind.
He lowered to one knee, scooping up the nondescript dagger dropped by his attacker. No liquid sheen was yielded by his inspection, no deadly poison resting in a thin glaze over the steel. Simply an average edge; simply a statement to be made. What could hurt Rafal was just as amenable to killing him, and a dead, killed, early-killed Rafal would not do. Or perhaps it amounted to correction; the act of forbidding murderous jaws from their chance to bite.
"There was no need for your intervention. But I suppose intervention when dealt by your hands is more meaningful." Sharp laughter of a conclusion struck the cobbles, ringing with amusement as he tossed the weapon to the ground with a clatter. Though he had found his kill denied, in the grand scheme of things came another instance of thievery - or so it seemed. "I am your prey, is that it? Yours to mold? Or yours to kill? How very charming. An inspiring attitude of excellence from the saint."
Though he laughed, the lines of his attention thoughtfully converged on her empty hand, forlorn of the hatchet it had recently taken an interest toward. So far as Poe did not understand, as he had not yet taken it upon himself to inform her, black was an irreversible color. Sinners like Rafal did not ever turn white again once reduced to it. They did not become saints, not suddenly and not over time. They simply belonged to them; just as his life belonged to this one, whether by the spoken verses of her delusion or those which belonged to universal laws unseen.
". . .However, you are not ready yet." Ready for what? But the mysterious moment passed on mysterious words. The Atoning Dragon sobered and rose to his feet with all other reflections wiped away. True retribution hanging in the balance, justice prostrating its guillotine over the most deserving neck of all, to that end some day there would be need for that piddling girl. That paltry magic or that paltry axe. That day was not now.
