brewing a mihawk/shanks/buggy fic idea in my mind where theyre stupidly inlove w each other but theyre too dumb to open to each other on how insecure they feel.

Buggy has inferiority complex and thinks hes just there in the relationship as a side piece. He thinks someday Shanks and Mihawk will realize they’re better off w/o him. They’re two of the most powerful men in the seas, incredibly handsome too, and Buggy’s just. Buggy. Weak and cowardly, weird and ugly. So whenever he sees Shanks and Mihawk particularly spending more time together, he mentally prepares himself for the day they leave him (he plans to leave out of the relationship first so it will hurt less).

Buggy of course will never admit his insecurities, and he fears if he opens the topic, the two will break up with him much earlier. So he just tries to make the most out of their relationship while it lasts and anxiously wait for the inevitable ending.

Mihawk, on the other hand, feels out of place in the relationship bc Shanks and Buggy shared a much deeper and stronger bond way back in their childhood that his history with both men could never compare. He thinks his aloof and introverted personality will someday bore them, that they will see there is not much to Mihawk than they first thought. Sometimes he overthinks if Shanks only loves him bc he was the nearest person to have filled in Buggy’s place in his heart after the two separated, or if Buggy is even interested in him, who’s a complete polar opposite to his personality. Moreover, his guilt over beating up Buggy at the start of the Cross Guild washes over him every now and then, and he thinks it will become a factor someday when the two decide to break up with him.

Mihawk doesn’t open up these thoughts bc he doesn’t think they’re worth opening up. He’s a lonewolf all his life, but he couldn’t get used to the disconnection he feels despite having two partners.

Shanks has abandonment issues fr. He’s afraid that all those decades spent apart from Buggy has estranged their relationship forever. He’s scared of a future where the two will break up with him - that Buggy will abandon him again, having found a perfect partner (Mihawk) who he knows will treat him better than Shanks ever did and could ever do. He worries about being the most mentally unstable out of them all, that his depressive alcoholic episodes and loudness will turn off Mihawk for good, or that he’ll unknowingly do something that will cause a second downfall in his relationship with Buggy again.

Shanks will never open up about his insecurities bc he thinks it will sour the happiness they currently have in the relationship. He’d rather shoulder everything and keep up a facade than have the two abandon him.

Even though they’re happy to be together officially and they love each other, there is still some tension due to them not very good at opening up. Buggy’s too into denial and evades sensitive topics at all costs, Mihawk is too private and socially inept, Shanks is the type to suppress and put up a facade for the sake of keeping peace in their relationship.

In short, theyre a fuckibng mess

-☠️ That one scene in the D.H.O.R.K.S episode where Blitz and Moxxie were taken? Yeah you were with them and when Striker got you back with the others? He’s feral. He will kill anything that touches a single hair on your head.

You hang your head in shame as you listen to Blitz and Moxxie yell back and forth with one another. How did you allow yourself to get caught? The doors busted open as Millie, Loona and Striker ran over, a crazed look in his eyes. “Oh shit- You okay darling?”  He asked untying you from the chair and pulling you close, checking all over you for any injuries. “I’ll kill these bastards if they hurt ya” He snarled out.

-☠️Such a sweetheart. He’s more prone to lazing around the office with you if there’s nothing to do and will occasionally take naps. 

-☠️ Out on the town with him? He’s spoiling the fuck out of your ass. Like it’s unreal.

-☠️In this AU Bombproof is a motorcycle cause I said so and he takes care of it like its his baby. He also gets you your own helmet and lets you ride with him through the city. Date nights are much more fun when you're speeding through each ring and seeing different sites.

-☠️Loves getting/giving good luck kisses. If you don’t give him one before a mission he thinks he’s gonna fail and it bothers him. Doesn’t matter if it’s a kiss on the lips, cheek or forehead. He wants his good luck kiss.

In my au, Marc starts off even more reserved than canon, he starts with his Beta design- or a version of it i guess. He gets a make over after being inspired by Nath/Rouges, and probably encouraged by Plagg.

Extra elaborating on how id change the episodes below.

During Origins/Stone heart, they dont fuck up because Alaise Rouge forgets to purify the akuma, but because he *cant reach it* in time.

This is because (and dont hate me on this hot take) Nathaniel sucks balls at teamwork. He'd describe humself as a lonewolf- or.. bug i guess. Atleast at first. And Marc conceeds too easily.

Rouge, though hes not called that in the begining (he also sucks ass at names too, so he puts it off as long as possible, probably introduces himself as Bug Boy, gets cringed at by local hobbyist author nameless-cat-boy who have not met out of costume yet, and promptly keeps that shit to himself) is a bit of a prick, he doesnt work in a team, and hes up front about it. I dont need your help, i dont work with other people. Excetera, excetera.

Understandably putting Marc off from the hero biz- until its shown on live TV Rouge *ahem* sorry 'Bug Boy'... is unable to catch the akuma on his own. The ladybug is able to scrape by a win and free the akuma- and despite saying he works alone, he was only able to win because Alix was there to help, same as canon. Though she doesnt have any super hero powers to help corner the escaped butterfly, and with the ladybugs current users weapon being a hammer, he cant quite reach the bug that flies.

Both of our heros have an "oh fuck-" realisation moment.

The ladybug apologises after a long scolding by Tikki, and the cat works up his nerves to try again after encouragement by Plagg. Both are off to a bad start with one another and their relationship isnt that great in the beginning, but they know that the only way to help the city is together.

So reluctantly they work together to neutralise the threat and announce their partnership and loyalty to the people of paris.

And things move forward.

You know I think the most compelling thing about Mat is? He’s a subversion of literally everything his character is Supposed to be. He’s the rogue archetype but he’s not a lonewolf or even particularly cowardly despite his insistence in the contrary. His major character trait is his Loyalty, that’s his defining characteristic. Not his wit or even his charm though he has both, the thing that all other characters around him mention is that he’s loyal and true to his word. Not the most Rogue-like personality traits.

But he’s not even just a subversion of the rogue archetype. He’s also a subversion of masculinity in a lot of ways, he’s described as wiry and isn’t especially tall. He ISNT physically intimidating, which stands juxtaposed to him being one of the greatest generals and fighters in the book. I really like how the fact that he isn’t what people expect is one of his strengths, he’s chronically underestimated by other characters. When he’s hunted by darkfriends they often send big classic street thugs after him and expect him to be overpowered because unlike Rand or Perrin he doesn’t LOOK strong. Only the moment anyone actually gets into a fight with him they’re taken off guard by his absolutely brutally he fights. And he’s not actually that physically strong, he’s certainly not weak by any means, but compared to many of the other characters and enemies they face Mat isn’t particularly strong. He instead outsmarts his opponents, he’s faster and more agile, he takes advantage of distance fighting mostly with throwing knives, polearms, and long bows.

Compared to the other Ta’veren he’s also the least traditionally heroic, “he’s no bloody hero” isn’t entirely a false claim. He’s the only one the three Ta’veren boys that doesn’t have a crisis of conscious over being violent in battle, sure he’s got the sane hang up as Rand about killing women, but he had no issues with immediately employing guerrilla warfare against the Seanchen and never takes prisoners. The Aes Sedai tell him off for leaving leaving wounded enemies without aid, breaking the rules of warfare, and he tells them that he doesn’t care about being honorable. And he doesn’t, Perrin and Rand(particularly in the beginning and end of his character arc) tend to be very honorable and respectable opponents when they aren’t fighting Shadowspawn. Mat will cheat and trick throughout battles because he’s first and only priority is keeping himself and as many of his men alive as possible while killing as many enemies as he can. He’s vicious and efficient, Perrin went back for the Whitecloaks in Towers of Midnight, where Mat wouldn’t have. He helps invent canons and immediately begins trying to make the automatic crossbows faster, because his priority is always doing the most damage to the rival army before retreating to safety. Mat’s style of warfare is certainly reflective of RJ’s experience in Vietnam. The Band literally wears camo armor.

Lastly is Mat and Tuon’s relationship. When we first learn of the Daughter of Nine Moons prophecy, Mat always describes this future as her appearing from the ether and spiriting him away, and Egwene’s vision is of Tuon wrestling Mat to the ground and collaring him. We are set up with the expectation that Tuon is going to be the one chasing him down and capturing him. Then Mat kidnaps Tuon and you’d think “oh there’s the subversion Tuon’s the kidnapped damsel” but BAM we get another subversion because Tuon CHOSE to be kidnapped, and Mat fell head over heels in love with her, like tripping off a cliff. She didn’t capture him physically but she certainly captured his heart and that has always been a much more effective collar and leash than any physical one you could put on him.

I just love Mat being so unexpected to both the audience and other characters. I love how he’s just a walking contradiction, of being irresponsible but loyal, being vicious but compassionate, being foolish and clever. He’s everything and nothing, complicated and simple. I love him.

Monster Hob? More like Werewolf Hob, amirite?

AU where all the Endless are werewolves with separate-ish packs (or maybe they're all different creatures, idk) and Dream has his own pack. Fuck it, make it borderline Mafia AU as well.

Hob's a lone/rogue wolf. Maybe he's newly turned, maybe his own pack was killed off when he was a child. Either way it's too dangerous for him to be alone- both for himself and everyone else- and so he gets brought to Dream when he accidentally enters Dream's territory.

They both instantly love the scent of the other and it feels like ~home~ but Dream can't make anything easy and also needs to talk to his pack about adding a new member. They say yes and all but say "hey, maybe you should also make-out lol, you're already eye-fucking each other".

Much pining ensues because they're both dumb.

If it's Omegaverse, maybe they get together because Hob is finally comfortable and safe enough to have a heat after a few months of staying there and shares it with Dream.

If it's not, maybe Hob saves Dream and they both get all angsty about it before kissing <3

Lonewolf Hob also... is so good. Maybe his pack died tragically so he's just roaming around, still grieving, and that's how he fucks up and ends up crossing Dream’s borders. And Dream does not take kindly to having strangers in his territory. He sends his pack members out to bring Hob to him and is all set to "make an example of him" but then... he gets a whiff of Hob’s scent.

Things get complicated. Dream isn't looking for a consort, and Hob thinks he's too damaged to be lovable. So they agree to just... Live alongside each other. No romance, no sex. Hob gets the protection of being in Dream’s pack, and he quickly rises up the ranks to be an important part of group dynamic.

And then just as he's getting settled... Hob goes into heat. He buries himself in his nest, growling at anyone who goes near him. Until Dream cautiously approaches with a big bottle of water and firmly says that Hob needs to drink something or he's going to pass out. Hob lets him into the nest but he's whining desperately, trying not to bend over and present. Dream is secretly just as effected by his sweet scent. He can't just leave Hob along to suffer, so he stays. He curls up at the edge of Hob’s nest and waists for Hob to come to him.

Even though they're both feverish with lust, at first they're just holding each other, scenting each other. Hob curls his limbs around Dream and clings to him like he's terrified of him leaving. He gradually, slowly sheaths Dream’s knot inside himself and they just stay, holding each other and moving slowly until they fall asleep. Still stuck together. Stuck with each other.

heehee hi!!!!!!! i am Happy to answer this!! already in the au, Greely is a protagonist but otherwise has little to no connection with the alphas. ever since the events of the phantom uprising they pretty much argued about the best steps to take and all either split up or cut complete contact with one another. Greely, being a natural and literal lonewolf of course ventured off by himself but Liza and Sir Gilbert have teamed up aiding surviving jammers and foraging for resources. Cosmo and Graham are, in the present moment, keen on gathering intel, which is becoming difficult without someone like Greely who's a pretty sneaky spy Peck is by herself. Whereabouts pretty much unknown. And possibly slightly insane but presumed dead or kidnapped by the other alphas.... Let's just say something is inspiring her to paint more than ever. and Tavie will also become a very important character in the story so I cant spoil anything but I can say she's dwelling in the waters of moku'ahi alongside three troublemaking spirits..... >:) As for Mira and Zios, they aren't entirely dormant, especially not the latter. but they're not exactly themselves

-How I feel about this character

I love IDW Shockwave! I love when Shockwave is allowed to do his own thing, apart from the other Decepticons, in any continuity. Don’t make any goddamn sense what he’s doing, but he’s vibing. That’s my bitch right there!

-All the characters I ship with this character

I love ShockOP for the drama, but in an, “it’s in the past, but Optimus still isn’t over it,” sort of way.

-My non-romantic OTP for this character:

I don’t really have one? I like Shockwave because he’s more of a lonewolf sort of character. He does what he does because HE thinks it’s right and he doesn’t really give a thought toward other people. I guess, in a pre-Empurata world, I think his relationship with the outliers at the institute was interesting and I wish we would have seen more of that.

-My unpopular opinion about this character

Hmmm…I kind of like the fact that even after regaining his memories in Dark Cybertron, and experiencing remorse for the first time, he still comes to the conclusion that he pretty much has to finish what he started. I think he realized that no matter what, he could never erase all the horrible things he’s done and the best way to rectify that was to see his plan to fruition.

-One thing I wish had happened with this character in canon

A part of me wishes that Shockwave was the one who got to join the Lost Light instead of Megatron (a very small part, the larger part of me really wanted Soundwave and Megatron’s story arcs to be reversed but that’s another post). I think, if they wanted to go that route, Shockwave is the one character who was more deserving of redemption, if only because he was a victim of circumstance. Then again, maybe that’s why OP turned out the way it did: Shockwave was still a living, consenting entity while under Shadowplay, who simply lacked a moral compass. He did what he did under free will.

I like to think that Shockwave’s vanity is something that stuck with him, even after being Shadowplayed. And he only trusts himself working on his body, he won’t let anyone else touch him.

DigiWeek 2022 Day 2: Sports Day (Relationship)

It is common for every shounen anime to put an emphasis on friendship, and Digimon is not exception. Whether it is about the relationship between digimon and their human partners, relationship among digimon, or even relationship among kids. Mostly platonic, but some are romantic. Even the same-sex relationship is important.

For the said relationship, here comes my favorite relationship: Takato and Jian from Digimon Tamers.

For someone wondering why TakaRi if there is common pairing name like Jenkato? As someone who prefers Japanese style in terms of pairing name, this is what the relationship of Takato and Jian is called. Also, it means that Takato is top and Jian is bottom (in Japanese fandom, the pairing name is treated as serious business because it determines the roles of two characters paired in the story).

Okay, trivia aside, I think this relationship is quite unpopular. Compared with when Takato is paired with girls (like Ruki or Juri), his relationship with Jian is somewhat lackluster in fandom. Yet, there are fans of such relationship.

Compared to usual goggle boy and his lonewolf bishounen pairings in Digimon fandom (which mostly have a rocky start and tensions), Takato and Jian are depicted as best friends on the start. Their personalities may be different (Takato’s naivety and Jian’s pacifism yet holding himself back for the sake of being mature), but they are bonded by same interest: Digimon card game. As the story goes on, they are not so different in personalities. Takato becomes accustomed in dealing with rampaging digimon and the consequences aftermath, while Jian must deal with his own emotions while situations go beyond control.

Okay, explanation ends here. Anyway, this relationship needs more love.

Personality: He's quiet lonewolf that has fits of aggression and violence towards those who provoke him. He's stonecold and very serious.

Appearance: Looks and dresses like a cowboy, but has a physique of a hulking man and relatively short tusks. WIth a somewhat dark green skin, flowing black hair and piercing red eyes.

Age: Late 20s to Early 30s

Gender/Pronouns: Male. He/Him.

Sexuality: Straight or maybe Aromantic?

Backstory: He was born as a slave in the supposed “free country.” Mistreated and hated by the people who were supposedly giving him a chance to live, he couldn't take it anymore. He heard about a rebellion and of course he joined. He was one of the best warriors they had and if it wasn’t for him, they probably wouldn't have won that war. After a while Uthruk found himself in need of money and that's where he found TUPS. Why is what job is better for a murderer than killing?

Roles: Striker, and he strikes HARD; scouting, and at times Frontliner

Conclusion: He is THE MAN, quiet yet cool and intimidating, he's such a badass.

tbh I don't like lonewolf very much. I'm not sure how it is for C but making "open invitation" jokes on his avvie while C was afk is memorable in a bad way. He has the abrasive/dommy personality type, he makes a lot of sexual jokes. He's mildly possessive. Might have a bit of narc also. Nothing too bad yet, just not my type. But I won't question C's choices, I just need to keep my opinion under wraps. I suppose the bribery with buying C the avatar is another thing also. "Predatory". But hey at least it's not me this time. The funny thing is C seems to enjoy spending time with me more than with lone, so that's another thing too.

I am the jealous type. I can feel it. A slight twinge of pain whenever lone is trying to assert himself over C. Even though I am not in a position to change that or be another choice.         it was a common, yet oddly strange sight nowadays in the home base— the sight of louis amamiya waiting for his return in the secretive veil of nightfall. 

          it... puzzled him. it truly did because he couldn’t understand the intention behind such a peculiar behaviour logic-wise, didn’t fit into any of his beliefs either so there was little to no convenient explanation for it to be codified into something more familiar and reasonable. he was a lonewolf, and had always been one even before the great collapse. nothing against companionship honestly, just a personal preference. he was used to dominating the momentum of battles without having to coordinate with others, saved him a lot of nonsensical trouble too. so regardless of how he was and what he was doing, no matter if he was beaten and bloodied after each mission, sometimes half-dead, merely struggled to move forwards, he wouldn’t expect help, nor would he expect somebody that wanted to wait for him. 

          it was strange, yes, but it was definitely not unwelcome. 

          he came back to the home base when the eerie moonlight blanketed the ruined city. there was no one occupying the now empty lounge as they had already retreated to their room for rest or just to catch some momentary shut-eye as a means to preserve as much strength and stamina as possible. the lost were restless, the miasma only thickened, and the unyielding red mists remained unwavered— if anything, the omnious red only spelled hopelessness like a constant reminder of failures upon failures. today was once again without any significant progress in louis’s quest to find the source of the bloodsprings. 

          cael stared at the vacant hall for a while before easing himself onto the couch. his sidearm, the seraph blade, tossed carelessly on the floor, next to his leg but within arm reach. he shrugged off the malfunctioned blood veil— all torn and broken from the lost’s gruesome aggression, the right arm that was punctured and riddled with open wounds and shards of metals, soaked with blood of whom he could not remember, was exposed to cold air. the unpleasant sentation caused cael to hiss a little because fuck, it hurt like a bitch while continuously admonishing him for his incompetence. it had been a long time since he last suffered such a mortal injury though. often times he would simply opt to self-destruct to quickly begin the process of regeneration. he didn’t this time.

          breathing out a sigh, wounds unattended, his head throbbed as the smell of blood— his own blood— assaulted his senses, along with the burning awareness of how agonising it would be the longer he ignored his ragged body. there were litters of different bruises and cuts decorating his torso, left arm and legs, some on his lips and across his eyes, but none reached the extent of severity that his seemingly broken and decomposing right arm had sustained. it was as good as dead. stubbornly, he tried to move his arm but gave up after several attempts of feeling nothing but sharp pain and irritation. 

          no matter, it would regenerate. it always would. the BOR parasite would do the work for him so he didn’t do so much as raise a finger afterwards. mismatched eyes slowly closed— only to shoot open at the footsteps of an intruder. familiar footsteps treated with utmost caution. cael didn’t need to raise his head to see it was louis amamiya that was emerging from one of the bedrooms. he also didn’t need to raise his head to see that louis amamiya was waiting for him, again, without getting a wink of sleep. but that was what the other revenant always did anyways— a terrible and detrimental habit, quoted yakumo and possibly everyone present, so he didn’t think much of it. the fact that louis was waiting for him however... that bit continued to be an unresolved question. 

          ‘ you should sleep. ’ cael said when he felt louis sit down next to him, then he fell silent again. too exhausted to humour louis with any sort of friendly bantering now. he needed to regain as much strength as possible for the upcoming battles against yet another successor. 

          moments passed by, and he heard louis whisper, ‘ you're hurt... ’

          again with this. hurt— the word sounded ridiculous now when he was, they were, technically dead. revenants healed and regenerated and revived after they died as long as their heart was protected, so he didn’t understand what was the big deal. and why louis was damn adamant on it too, a strange fixation in a world where the line between life and death was blurred into one mess. before he could protest though, louis was already bringing out the medical supplies stored inside coco’s garbage heap, as she called it, and gently maneuvoured his way to clean the dampening blood. the boy’s voice that resounded some time later was inexplicably a tone rougher. it did something to his cold, dead heart. ‘ please, let me take care of you. it's the least I can do. ’

          he wanted to refuse since there was no need to, but decided against it once he saw the grimace marred louis’s face. if he wished to do it then... it didn’t matter anyways. 

          cael remained impassive and idle throughout the whole ordeal. 

          when louis finished, the scent of blood visibly diminished and his arm cleaner despite the pain still burning beneath his veins, cael finally looked directly at louis. he took louis’s hand before it fell back to his sides and pressed a gentle kiss onto the skin. although his memories were poor at best, he did manage to recall a few things from his past— and one of them was this. a token of gratitude performed by his old comrade in the army. he remembered vividly the way that girl’s eyes lit up and how her lips charmingly curved into the brightest of smiles when she received this gesture, so he hoped that louis’s would do the same. he didn’t know what to think of louis amamiya, but he knew very well that he enjoyed the other’s company and wouldn’t want those eyebrows to be grimacing. 

          he lingered there for a moment before lifting his gaze. the usual intensity gone, replaced with a mild softness. ‘ thank you. ’
