“Nothing can really prepare you for you the sheer overwhelming experience of what it means to become a mother. It is full of complex emotions of joy, exhaustion, love, and worry, all mixed together.” - Catherine, Princess of Wales
"If we want girls to have the best possible futures in these careers (STEM), we need to make sure they have the skills and qualifications required. More importantly, if we want the best possible future for our country, we need to be using the talents of the whole population." - Princess Anne, Princess Royal
“I’m not trying to succeed for the people who are waiting for me to fail. I’m doing it for myself. I’m one for the ‘You only live once so you should do as much as you can’ sort of thing” - Zara Tindall
“As someone who firmly believes in the equality of men and women, I feel drawn to your cause and to do what I can to help raise further awareness of your work. To help give voice to women and girls who are being denied their fundamental rights as humans and are being subjected to harm and violence as a result of conflict, to promote those who seek to play a part in finding peace, and to support others as they attempt to rebuild their lives” - Sophie, Countess of Wessex
"There was nothing that I felt I wanted to hide away from. It was just something that happened in my life. I was always—I wouldn’t say proud of it, but I was glad I did it. I was supported through it as well. The Queen said: “Yes, go and do it,’ so I did. I think The Queen is an astonishing leader of people. She’s just a shining example to us all. And she goes on. It's incredible. She’s nearly 100." - Katharine, Duchess of Kent talking about her change in career to being a school music teacher and her cousin in laws [QEII] acceptance
"But what ultimately made Princess Margaret so attractive and lovable was that behind the dazzling façade you could find, if you looked for it, a rare softness and sincerity." Peter Townsend talking about Princess Margaret
Wishing these amazing, strong women and many many more around the world a very happy international women’s day! 💓

TAKEN BY THE PRINCESS | In honour of the late Queen's birthday, Kensington Palace released a photograph (taken last summer at Balmoral) of Queen Elizabeth II surrounded by her youngest grandchildren (Lady Louise and the Earl of Wessex) and several of her great-grandchildren (Savannah and Isla Phillips; Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis of Wales; and Mia, Lena and Lucas Tindall)

Rodina Fic #1
Felix hides out in his friend Mia's room to avoid his father. He's surprised when his sister finds him--but not as surprised as Mia is to learn that Felix has a whole sibling he never told her about.
Relationships: Felix and Mia (they get romantic eventually but right now there's nothing shippy, though Rodina teases), Felix and Rodina
OC's: Mia Cecile, Rodina Louise Fraldarius
Will say this is for @fe-oc-week's 'relationships' prompt.

so probably already been pointed out (cuz i am very late to catching up on this chapter) but
those are sara’s shoes in this image next to louise’s, you can see their pattern more clearly here
i’m not sure if she’s just helping edward or if she was ALSO invited, but i have a sneaking suspicion that if it’s the latter it might be sara and mia we lose and not lou and louise
