About Me
Hi there, Lulu here.
I do have a real name but I prefer to go by Lulu on here and Ao3 so please use that.
I go by she/he/they. Call me what you want I don't mind. It changes day by day for me in the real world, but my friends and family don't know that.
I'm pansexual but again only a few people know that.
I'm in my 30's but have the maturity of a teenager unless I'm in parent mode when I have to pretend to be a grown-up (It does not last long!).
I am a huge huge huge Harry Potter fan (Fuck JK, she's a dick!) My house is full of so many HP-related items. In fact, I think every room has something in it, thank the gods my husband is also a massive nerd.
In case you can't tell I am Neurospicy. I am in the middle of getting diagnosed with ADHD and by that I mean I am procrastinating actually starting the process.
Now where was I?
Oh, yeah I like so much stuff I can't think what else to put here but yeah Harry Potter, mainly Marauders era but I love anything really.
My fav ships are Wolfstar (I've loved them since I was a young thing and didn't even know it was a thing." Jegulus (My new love.) Dramione (Lord have mercy) Drary (Lord I need more mercy) Pandalily (Meep!) Dorlene (Squeek!) I like Marylily as well but not as much, but I love them when I read them.
My asks are open and you can send me whatever you want, no hate please no one needs that in their life and Tumblr is my happy place don't spoil it.
Things that make me happy
You guys. Honesty it's Tumblr, I've only just really found this and all you amazing people who like my silly stories that I've only been writing regularly since December 23 when I found you all. My husband and son make me happy and so do my dogs and cats. I love watching storms and autumn. I read a lot, I crochet, I knit, I write. I am a huge fan of chocolate. If you give me chocolate I will be your friend.
Music
Bowie. Nuff said.
But yeah I like a lot of different stuff, it depends on my mood as to what I listen to. I drive my husband mad because I like songs by lots of people but I can't remember what they're called or who they're by.
Books
My all-time favourite book will always be Prisoner of Azkaban. It is my happy place.
My house is full and I mean full of books. I don't actually know how many I have but last time I estimated I had 300 in my bedroom alone. (There are piles of books in every room 😬)
Shows/movies
Harry Potter, The Martain, The Princess Bride, Labyrinth, Hunger games, Twilight (Don't judge me they got me through a dark time.), How to train your Dragon, Disney anything, plus others there are so many and I'm bored of listing.
Good Omens, Schitts Creek, Parks and Rec, Bake off, Handmaids tale, It's always sunny, community, Harbin hotel, archer, vampire diaries. Plus more but yeah typing.
Okay I think I'm done but who knows I might add more if I remeber.
Love you all
Lulu

Thoughts on So Weird's 25th Anniversary
It's hard to believe So Weird premiered 25 years ago. It feels like we JUST celebrated the 20th anniversary, but then again the pandemic has completely distorted my sense of time.
Maybe it's because I'm in my 30s now or maybe it's because I was fortunate enough to meet the wonderful actress who brought her to life, but I have discovered that I am in my Molly Phillips era and Molly has overthrown Jack as my fav.
I truly have had a different favorite character for different stages of my life and I love how as I grow older, I continue to love this show for different reasons.
Now as the show is 25, I've been doing a lot of thinking about the lost episode Chrysalis and the character Molly Phillips and the content that is on Disney Plus now and the content we were denied. It was such a missed opportunity.
At the time that So Weird was airing, I was 6-8 years old and my dad was struggling with a disease. I remember asking my mom what it was that my dad had that made him have to sleep on the couch or stay in the hospital and her just repeating "He has a disease!" until I stopped. It wasn't until I was adult that I learned he struggled with alcoholism.
At 6-8 years old, all I knew about diseases were that they could be caused by smoking and that they can kill you so I assumed it was related to his cigarette smoking and feared he was going to die. I also knew that he had stopped smoking for 4 years, around the time he and my mom got married. My sister and I are exactly 4 years and 6 days apart. At 6-8 years old I knew basic math and the conclusion that I came to was that having a second kid (me) must have bad so stressful it led him to smoking. I fully believed for my whole childhood that my mere existence was killing my dad by driving him to smoke.
That is some heavy shit to carry as a 7 year old and a whole lotta shit to unpack in therapy as an adult.
And it was all because everyone thought it was in my best interest not to explain things like alcoholism in a way that I could understand because they thought children shouldn't know about such things.
As a latchkey kid, I was raised by television as much as I was raised by my parents and if the execs at Disney would have allowed So Weird to do that issues show they were so afraid of, it could have been lifechanging. Being able to see my favorite characters discuss alcoholism and provide some context that shows and explains what it is in a way a kid could understand would have been so valuable.
But Disney was too afraid to do an issues show.
Earlier this year, I watched the new Goosebumps series on Disney+ and was surprised to see kids openly making fun of one of the moms for being a wino. I'm glad that Disney is no longer afraid to show real life situations in that alcohol is a thing that exists and kids (well, the ones who aren't extremely sheltered like I was) are aware of it. But as happy as I am to see Disney is evolving to include these elements and showing more kid-friendly horror, all I could think of was the missed opportunity they had with So Weird. They could have done so much good with Chrysalis.
One of my favorite things about So Weird as a kid was that I never felt like I was being talked down to.
As an adult, I absolutely love the depth to Molly that a past struggle with alcoholism brings. It indicates just how visceral losing Rick was, how much pain Molly was in that she needed to self-medicate it away and stop feeling feelings because they were too hard. It shows how strong she is as a person for getting her life together since then, being able to do a comeback tour and be the amazing mom we see her as. It humanizes her on such a real level. She's the best portrayal of a tv mom because she very much is a MOM-- she doesn't try to be best friends with her kids, but she makes sure they know they can talk to her and go to her for help.
Dealing with my dad's unexpected death in my early 20s (which was surprisingly not due to smoking, or at least not primarily) showed me that my parents are above all else PEOPLE-- with flaws, with struggles, who just did the very best they could with the hand life dealt them. Molly represents that so well and I think it's why I've been drawn to her lately.
25 years of So Weird and I am still finding so much to relate to and gush about with this show.
Forever keeping the faith that one day So Weird's full story will be told, either by graphic novel or reboot.
It is still absolutely timeless.

List 5 things that make you happy, then put this in the askbox for the last 10 people who liked or reblogged something from you! Get to know your mutuals and followers ❤️
Oh... i have a lot of things that make me really happy xD so is kinda a hard question but ok, i'll try my best...
1. Enjoy watching my fav series and movies, like GOTHAM, BTAS, Dinosaurs, The Boys, The Shawshank Redemption, BoP, The legend of 1900, Back to the Future, I love you Phillip Morris, etc... also classic animated movies from Disney and Dreamworks... plus, i really enjoy to share opinions, HCs, theories etc. about that, with my friends
2. Reading... from novels to comics; i'm always searching for new material to read or if not, i also like to reread my fav stories, with the same excitement as the first time i read them.... plus, i think reading is the perfect way to learn about everything you want so i'm always learning and that's great
3. Writting... along with drawing, are activities i really love to do cuz those make me really happy, especially if are about my fav characters or ships/OTPs, cuz these last make me more than happy, in fact, two of them (Nygmobblepot and Zsasionis/Zsasmask) i easily can say they literally saved me from a very dark and deep depression periods in my life and i'll never forget that, i'll love those OTPs forever
4. Must say, to eat... i have a kinda complicated relationship with food, since i always have this toxic thought about that every lil piece of carb and fat i put in my mouth for a second will make me overweight ten kilos in the next hour i ate them... so has been kinda hard to try and change that bad perception about food in general, that's why i feel happy when i have a good day (i don't feel that toxic thought as intense as usual) and actually can enjoy some good meal, doesn't matter what it is
5. Kinda cliche but i love listen to music, i can hear just one (1) fav song the whole day, but i'm happy to listen all the playlists too... music is also such a great inspiration for my fics so i could hear or find new music just cuz that is useful for ideas or simply cuz that remind me at any of my fav chars/ships/OTPs, so those songs become special among other fav songs
That's it xD 💖

just for shits and giggles i want to make a list of dolls i want. from both realistic options to ones that are completely out there
g3 lagoona core refresh - everything about her is soooo adorable. her hair her pants her bag!!! im so serious i neeeddd her. she;'s such a glow up from the first release and i adore lagoona's g3 design
Tumblr media
g3 catty noir - she's a cat, she's pink, and she's g3's first plus size doll! i love her so much the more i look at her the more i want her even though i dont need this many dolls...
Tumblr media
i also admit the leak of fearbook toralei is very tempting. i dont want her as badly as the other two upcoming releases but as a toralei fan i am so excited to see her with show-accurate hair!
Tumblr media
g1 ghoulia yelps - honestly im very confused on the status of her creepro release but i definitely want to grab her if i can. i love ghoulia and i prefer her g1 design so i want herrrr
Tumblr media
g1 scarily ever after draculaura - ive been kind of 50/50 on the color scheme of this doll, but the princess who loves lala in me wants this doll... she's definitely an easier g1 doll to get secondhand
Tumblr media
g1 sweet screams draculaura - this is probably the most unrealistic, but i simply. LOVE HER. so much. SHES SOOOO CUTE. she's 100% my fav g1 draculaura doll. unfortunately everybody else has the same idea, so she'd be sooo incredibly expensive... really putting the "dream" in "dream doll".
Tumblr media
tts rapunzel & cass - i'm always SOOO mad i never got these dolls when they were available . i want to make cassunzel hold hands sooo bad.... i mostly want cass from this set but having them together would be a dream.
Tumblr media
i'm not really crazy about rainbow high, but if i ever got a doll from the series... it'd definitely be a pink one! i like these three:
junior high bella parker (i am looking at that bag so intently)
Tumblr media
and priscilla perez
Tumblr media
i really love the inset eyes on these dolls but something about the proportions of their face / heads turns me off from these dolls. but some of them are very cutes!
im runnign out of ideas so uhh.
princess liana - this doll is very familiar so i think i might of had her actually? i cant wait unti l ifind all my old dolls and fix them up. but the diamond castle is my favorite barbie movie & liana's dress is lesbian colors so of course i want her
Tumblr media
id also like princess anneliese.. her dress looks a lot nicer than liana's tbh, but i imagine she's a hard find since patp is such a popular movie.
Tumblr media
there are a lot of barbie & disney dolls that id probably loveee to have but i dont have the energy to go through archives of dolls right now. maybe ill add to this in the future lol

Hi yes hi hello, your Secret Santa has returned! Hopefully you'll get to do more stuff with your parents this month :) I'm going to be very busy seeing all kinds of family in the coming weeks, please lend me some vibes that are good if possible💀 Aside from that, happy Alchemical P1 release! (Screams) !! Now that you've spent a few days with the new tracks, how are you feeling? I'm quite taken with the new stuff but my top I think remain Sand and Lethal Woman⏳ Speaking of music, sorry to pile on multiple questions, but what are your favorite songs to come from Disney Channel projects?? Have an excellent day! - GCWCA Secret Santa
good vibes are sent lol
i really like lethal woman and sand possibly even more. i dont tend to gravitate to the sadder stuff but its just so beautifully done.
as ive said, i do not claim white glove bc im a mostly sex-repulsed ace lol, but i like the other ones a lot and roughly on the same level as one another. maybe ill have a more decisive ranking later on but as of now ill put them at gods game, fragile things, and still, tho theyre all very close. like sand, theyre all somber but still have a beauty to them, which sounds like what she was going for. i have learned i need to limit my listening of them or they make me too sad tho lol.
firstly ill direct you to this playlist i made lol
as far as shows - ofc anything from l&m but my fav is say hey (and gotta give it to froyo yolo) - same for hm, plus that has a lot more songs lol, my fav is rock star - i was thinking about make it happen from wizards when i was in the shower for some reason lol. that slaps and its sad its not on streaming (sure streaming wasnt a thing when the episode premiered but singles were) - WE DONT CARE FROM TVOVV. and to a lesser extent this is where the partys at and a place for everyone, but especially we dont care. that was my #2 song of the year lol. - i dont talk much about my shake it up phase but it did happen. i got two soundtracks from it at disneyland shortly after i finished binging it and i listened to them a ton that summer. my favs were blow the system, beat of my drum, and bring the fire. - THE KC UNDERCOVER THEME SONG. show biases aside, this is my all time fav theme song as i have mentioned in the discord before. it has no right going as hard as it does - partial to step up from the lodge bc dove - let me make you proud and ready as ill ever be from tangled the series bc varian best boy
id ask you the same question but it might give you away lol, unless you have any answers not tied to major favs of yours i.e. me with keep it undercover. your call.
broader question, have you been up to anything fun since we last talked?

Tell us about your fav show! What gets you hooked? What makes it special? - What are the good and bad points of the show? The plus and minus? Something that you like and don't like (if there's any). - And lastly, your first impressions and expectations (before watching the shows), and your thoughts as the show goes. Is it different than what you expect? Surprisingly good? Is it okay-ish or perhaps, worse? Is it actually way better?
[Okay, because I don't gush over this enough...Darkwing Duck. Fucking love it. What makes it special? It's from my childhood and for a Disney kid show in 1991 it's main character was a hero that ran around with a gun and had an alter ego that anyone would guess was gay (single man, raising a kid, and another guy lived with them...fucking love how that had to look). Pros...Best villains ever for as silly and Batman-inspired they could be. Cons...Disney has let out two DVD sets yet hasn't released the remaining 37 episodes on DVD in 16 years since the last DVD came out. I can't remember what my first impression was like, but I would run to catch this show as a kid and I'm in my mid-30s still hype for when I hear news about it. There are comics! New comics about this show and you bet your ass I have them. Hell, as of now, a Darkwing Duck reboot is in development for Disney+. Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg will executive produce the project via Point Grey Pictures. Tad Stones revealed that he is involved in the reboot series as a creative consultant. I am so stoked for this!!]

tumblr’s being a lil shit and saying it wasn’t able to send an ask, so apologies if this is in your inbox twice or anything, but what are your fav pieces of star wars media?
(Lol this one showed up and then what I'm guessing was your initial ask popped up a couple minutes later)
Anyways, favorite pieces of Star Wars media?
I mean, obviously there's the Original Trilogy. They're a classic. As for the Prequels... I really love playing in the pre-empire sandbox, but in terms of actually enjoying this trilogy, it is more for how it laid the groundwork for greater stories than the actual plot (and well, of course the memes). And the Sequel Trilogy? I didn't love it, but I also didn't hate it? Like, they definitely tried to flesh out the situation to be more complex and nuanced, but kinda dropped the ball on it. I think it had the potential for greatness, but they just kept falling short on the delivery.
One of my early favorites was the "Jedi Quest" book series by Jude Watson, which takes place between The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones. It was the first piece of media I was exposed to that got into what life as a Jedi (at least pre-empire) was like. And also, it introduced the character Darra Thel-Tanis, who was one of the first female Jedi characters I had come across (I don't count anyone who showed up in the prequel movies because literally none of them had speaking roles). Granted, back when I first read the books a lot of it went over my head as I was about 7-8 years old, but I hold a nostalgic fondness for the series even though it's no longer considered canon.
Another one I really enjoyed was the "Young Jedi Knights" series, which follows Han and Leia's children Jaina and Jacen as they train in the Force and deal with the threats of the remnants of the Sith and the Empire. It's been a while since I've gone over them, but I remember the series just being filled with so much world-building stuff, as well as a good depiction of what a post-empire galaxy would look like.
The "Crimson Empire" and "Dark Empire" comics were also pretty memorable. They dabbled in the palpatine clones (and honestly did a much better job of it than Disney) and kind of serve as a prequel to the "Young Jedi Knights". But "Crimson Empire" specifically stands out to me because it was the first Star Wars content I came across where the main character was "one of the bad guys". Just... having that alternate point of view was eye-opening.
I'm not really a video game person (my gaming consists of Lego Star Wars wii and building castles in creative Minecraft), but I do love the storylines in Fallen Order, Battlefront: Inferno Squad/Resurrection, and KOTOR and it's expansions.
Are we counting music? Because in that case pretty much everything both from the OSTs and the epic orchestrations (I have multiple playlists dedicated solely to Star Wars music).
Moving on to the TV shows
I haven't actually watched Andor yet (i know, I'm a disgrace), but I have high hopes based on what I've heard.
I have a love/hate relationship with the Mandalorian. I mean, it's cool, Baby Yoda's cute and the little bits of world-building are nice; plus actually showing how even though the Rebellion won at Endor and toppled the Empire, it still exists (that just killing Palpatine isn't enough to "fix" the galaxy, and not everyone is going to just accept another regime change). And I just love Mandalorians. They're freakin awesome, so having an entire show dedicated to them was cool.
But my main problem with the show was how it practically ignored so much of what Star Wars had already done with Mandalorians. Earlier canon stuff (such as The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels) already gave us some pretty solid background and lore to Mandalorian culture and history, and it feels like they kinda just brushed it off in the show (I mean, come on. They literally went all three seasons without even name-dropping Satine) (also, Mandalorians have their own language, multiple dialects of it even, yet we pretty much only heard them speak Galactic Standard. I am saltier than the Dead Sea about this). I also just, expected it to be a little more dark and angsty than what we got (lol went on a bit of a tangent there).
Anyways, next up is Star Wars Rebels. While it is a little more juvenile in execution (i mean, it is a kids show), I think it did a good job in setting up the foundations of the Rebellion, and how small acts can lead to great change. Also just, contextualizing the state of the galaxy under the Empire's thumb and incorporating a lot of the rejected concepts from the Original Trilogy.
And finally, my all-time favorite, The Clone Wars. I practically grew up watching this show. There is just so much to it. While yes, most of it follows Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Ahsoka, we also get entire episodes dedicated to other characters on all sides of the conflict, and the show does a lot to set up later events in Revenge of the Sith and beyond. My favorite thing about the show was the character development. We get to see Anakin in the context of his relationships with others as well as the progression of his downfall. We get to see the clones actually get personalities and become more than the faceless armored bodies of the movies. We get to see the progression of the characters being fired up to fight to steadily getting worn down by all the loss and destruction of war. And we get to witness some of the best character development ever in Ahsoka. There is so much this show gave the fandom that I can't really verbalize it all.
So yeah, these are all my favorite/most memorable pieces of Star War media as well as my thoughts on them.

which other Robin Hoods have you seen?
In addition to Robin Hood (1938) I have…
Disney's Robin Hood (1973) which is also a favorite of mine. I love Robin's swagger in this one, which is very similar to Flynn's in the 38 version. The songs, of course, are another plus. (Whistle Stop is a perennial fav.)
Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991) which I know I've seen, but I can't tell you much more than Alan Rickman's line about carving your heart out with a spoon.
Princess of Thieves (2001) which, again, I know I've seen but couldn't tell you the plot of.
And rounding out the list of things I've actually seen is Ridley Scott's Robin Hood (2010) which I actually…really enjoy, because I like Russell Crowe, and I like this adaptation's treatment of the crusades and what that looked like - a bunch of men were gone for years at a time, and the women were left at home to manage, with varying results.
I know the 1920 Robin Hood with Douglas Fairbanks exists, but I'm not really a silent movie person, so I've never seen it.
I've heard the Robin Hood tv series (2006-2009) spoken well of, but I couldn't get more than three episodes in. My dad was a big fan of The Adventures of Robin Hood 1955-1960 TV series. I know several folks are also watching Robin of Sherwood (1984-1986) and you'd have to ask them what they think about it.
There's also the 2018 Robin Hood directed by Otto Bathurst, which I did not see, mainly because I think it came out near Guy Richie's King Arthur and I decided I'd had enough of edgy modern takes on classic stories.

Thank you for tagging me @seidenbros! 💜
I never really participate to that kind of tag before because of my shyness (even on the Internet). But why not trying something new for a change?
Fav color: violet/black
Currently reading: I’m reading a bunch of things for my master about movies, tv series and monster’s concepts. But when I don’t do my master, I’m reading the fifth volume of The Witcher.
I live in Canada and I’m speaking French (it’s my first language), so I read some Quebec writers; currently I’m reading Roux clair naturel of Fanie Demeule. It’s about a girl that construct her entire identity on a lie; she’s not naturally a ginger. The character is obsessed to keep that secret down but she’s feeling guilty about it and she develop an identity crisis. It is beautifully written.
Last song: Say it - girl in red
Last series: High School Musical The Musical The Series - Disney+
Last movie: Thor: Love and Thunder
Currently working on: I’m currently working on my master (and trying to survive it!)
*Sorry for my poor writing. English is not my first language and it's been a while since i wrote in it!*

Hello again, hehe. For The Horror and the Wild album ask game, 12 and 15?
For the 12: What song do you always sing along with?
I'm not going to be original, but it's definitly the song Fair. Whatever I'm doing (most likely writing my master that doesnt want to be finished) I wil stop myself and just sing peacefully the lyrics. They help me to calm myself and to believe that I will share one day a love like this with someone. It encapsulate the certainty of a tomorrow (something an anxious girl like me crave everyday).
For the 15: If you could recommend only one THATW song to your followers, what would it be?
I would certainly recommend That Unwanted Animal for the extraordinary performance of Madeleine Hyland. She have an incredible strenght and sensitivity in that song (that she have in all the songs of that album and others) but it's really remarquable in that one. Her voice is ethereal and splendid in it. And the song is really good and, in my point of vue, talks of another way of the anxiety and the depression that Joey and Madeleine talk in Farewell Wanderlust. The one coming from within that you didn't suspect was there but wait the most unexpected moment to eat you alive, destroying you and everyone you love and adore.
*Sorry for my poor writing. English is not my first language and it's been a while since i wrote in it!*

4. What song from Love Run do you always sing along with? for the album ask game. :)
Again, that's a tough one! I sing along all of them (or more particularly, part of them). Doing lipsync on the ''Fuck you'' in ''New York Torch song'' with a mask in a public bus is one of the best thing to do ever (you all have to try it someday). But if i have to choose one song that I always sing along, it would be Love/Run. I sing the whole eight minutes with my heart and my soul - when Joey sing the first Unemployed, my knees go weaks...
The melody and the lyrics are juste soooo fine! It's the promise for adventures, for fun, for lazy day without culpabilities, for love, for dead, for life, for everything. That the only thing worth to move, to do something, is LOVE.

2 and 18 for the Love Run asks!
For the 2 : What song from Love Run gradually grew on you?
I would say Little Miss Why So.
I don't know really why, but at the first listening, I didn't understand the song. In fact, I didn't see where the song was in the story of these humans, what she meant for the two of them, what she was saying about them, about their relationship, about their past, present and future.
It's been only a few weeks that I really, but really listened to the lyrics and saw what that song meant for the protagonists in the vague and vast story of them that I made up (even that story change with time, with my endlessly listening of these songs).
For the 18: If you could pick one Love Run song to watch performed live, what would it be?
Oh my god! It's so difficult to choose! Like is it even possible to choose between one?
I would like to see King be performed just for that line, that I found absolutely beautifully written and sang:
The sea and its waters , every unwanted daughter (is that you're here)
Or even for the whole performance that must be to listen in live of New York Torch Song. Or even just for the comfort of listening Not Yet-Love Run in live.
Sorry, I didn't pick one song; it's just impossible to choose between all of them!
*Sorry for my poor writing. English is not my first language and it's been a while since i wrote in it!*

What's your favorite movie, if you have any?
I HAVE SO MANY FAVORITES IS THIS AN EXCUSE TO RAMBLE???
so this is a long list of movies i have curated love for over the years so its under a readmore lmao not so much reviews but lots of gushing
now i cant choose an all time favorite. its just not possible im so passionate about so many different movies. but some of my fav fav fav movies ever are
Tumblr media
Studio Ghibli's 'Laputa: Castle in the Sky' (1986)
ghibli's first full length film and hayao miyazaki's second full length film (as far as im aware, ive seen nausicaa too) and it is honestly a masterpiece, like damn what a way to start off your animation studio. this movie is both wholesome and very bittersweet. it has amazing characters, both villain, anti-hero, and hero. plus the romance between pazu and sheetah is so innocent and passionate. theres really such a fantastical element about this entire film its so inspiring to me and i hold it near and dear to my heart, i cry every time.
Tumblr media
Jim Hensons 'The Labyrinth' (1986)
this was a childhood favorite of mine. my family LOVES jim hensons dark fantasy, and my brother and i grew up with this movie and the dark crystal (yes i watched the netflix series. yes i am forever bitter netflix cancelled it because it was truly so stunning) and the labyrinth was always my preference over the two even tho i do love both a lot. but this movie was just...so mesmerizing. my favorite scene is actually the ballroom fever dream scene. idk what most peoples' opinions on that scene is but it was soooo stunning to me i adored every bit of it. her whole LOOK THO!!!!!
Tumblr media
Studio Chizu's 'Wolf Children: Ame and Yuki' (2012)
STUNNING MOVIE I CRY EVERY TIME!!!! not only does this woman win mother of the goddamn decade but this is such a strong coming of age story for not one protagonist, but THREE. its a coming of age for everyone in that family and how to find your own path and acceptance with growth and change. plus the animation is sooo stunning studio chizu has been slappin since the girl who leapt through time and such before then, but i was just soooo stunned by this movie's ability to mix the fluidity of their 2D and 3D. 3D animes can be rly hit or miss but they did this so well. beautiful stunning amazing movie 12/10 very recommend
Tumblr media
Satoshi Kon's 'Perfect Blue' (1997)
this movie fucked me up and when i tell you ive seen it like 10 times LMAO its a psychological thriller and man the content warnings on this one.....its a bit of a traumatizing experience if youre a sexual abuse victim, but its Such a good watch. its got a rly good twist that i personally cant say is very good or not, its probably a bitttt dated. but its not focused on that one thing. this movie follows the trauma of mima and how she was treated by her higher ups and crew into doing things she was not nearly ready for or even wanted to do...but to make it to the top, what else can you do?
Tumblr media
Disney's 'Atlantis: The Lost Empire' (2001)
MY FAV FAV FAV DISNEY MOVIE EVER!!!!! say what u want about this movie but its one of disney's BEST!!!! the scene where kida is taken into the crystal light above the pool of water and becomes apart of the crystal? dude that scene Changed Me. so good i love it chefs kiss muah amazing fun movie
Tumblr media
Disney's 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame' (1996)
probably disney's darkest movie idk there are some classics from the 60s to 80s that i havent rly seen, but this movie gives me chills every time. the soundtrack? slaps. animation? slaps (thank u james baxter) characters? slap. this movie is SO GOOD and hypnotizing!!! and its so bold.
Tumblr media
disney 2020s doesnt have the balls
Tumblr media
Disney's 'Tangled' (2010)
FAV DISNEY PRINCESS FAV DISNEY PRINCESS MOVIE!!! i watched this shortly after it's dvd release because my mom bought it cause we always been a disney household and i fell in love with this one. yes i did watch the series. yes i did cry a couple times. tangled has my heart <3
Tumblr media
Warner Bros' 'Cats Don't Dance' (1997)
FURRY MOVIE FURRY MOVIE!!! this movie got me into furries realistically. i love everything about this movie its so fun and charming and it has a very nice message of following your dreams while still being authentic to yourself. also lowkey about racism and prejudice in hollywood in the 1920s/1930s cough cough
Tumblr media
Studio Ghibli's 'Spirited Away' (2001)
HOW CAN I ALMOST FORGET THIS CLASSIC??? my first ghibli movie!!! and it was such an introduction to miyazaki movies. it is such a fantastical take on japanese folklore. i for one am fascinated by japanese folklore, mythology, and culture in general so this movie is always such a treat and i can never get enough of it. one of my all time favorite movies, such a masterpiece.
Tumblr media
Makoto Shinaki's 'Children Who Chase Lost Voices' (2011)
now this is one of shinaki's lesser known movies, but its my absolute favorite of his. this animation is still so stunning for 2011, and i can only imagine how impressive it was then considering how his stuff looks now lol but this is a high fantasy movie with miyu irino (♥♥♥♥) voicing the hero. dont ask me the rest of the cast i just hyperfixate on miyu irino specifically because he voices syaoran in the tsubasa series
ANYWAY!!! thats enough of that i could honestly go on and on but i figure i wont make this post any longer than it has to be hahaha thank you so much for the question!!!

Day 12, favourite tv series
30 days writing challenge
Series barat aku paling suka Friends.. Udah berkali2 rewatch tetep terhibur, my comfort series! How I Met Your Mother sama inipun drama cinta komedi.. Kalo yg agak dark kolosal gitu aku suka bgt sama Game of Thrones.. Suami jg suka, kita suka nobar dari jaman pacaran sampe menikah, haduh seru bgt walaupun endingnya kurang puas. Untuk drama korea terdebest of debest itu, Reply 1988.. Wah ini drama paket lengkap slice of life bgt.. Ttg keluarga, persahabatan, percintaan.. Nonton ini hangat hatiku, bisa nangis, senyum, ngakak sekaligus. Inipun udah rewatch 3x haha!
Berlangganan Netflix dan Disney+ hotstar referensi series makin buaanyaaaak bgt! Setelah bertahan di 4 series favourite diatas, akhirnya nambah series fav nya. Aku suka Sex Education, walapun bertema agak 'berani' tapi ini seru bgt, plus selalu ngakak pula.. Sebenernya banyak sih kalo mau di tulis disini kepanjangan dong yah! Kekurangannya mengikuti series saat season mau berakhir dan belom finale di akhir episode pasti selalu dibikin gantung, nah kita kudu sabar tuh nunggu season berikutnya bisa sampe 1-2 tahun.. Lama bukaaaann... Juga kalo terlalu dibikin terlalu panjang, alur cerita udah ngalor ngidul itu juga salah satu kekurangannya.
Nonton series emang jadi ketagihan, setelah selesei 1 series cari lagi yang lain gitu terus! Skrg lagi ngikutin 1 series belom kelar, 2 on going.. Korea dan Jepang. Series Jepang nobar sama suamiku. Nontonnya irit, karena harus bareng, waktunya nunggu anak tidur jadi malem bgt, paling 1-2 episode udah teler ngantuk bgt kita. Lanjut besokannya. Nonton series memang bisa untuk me time dan quality time sama suami. Lumayan jadi penghibur untuk dirumah, stress release sejenak.. Mari kita nonton lagi! *mantau watchlist yang berjibun

Is there a best order to watch Star Wars animated shows in? And, if I am only going to watch one, which should it be?
omg hi ❤ okay so the 4 star wars animated series are clone wars, rebels, resistance and bad batch. i have not seen resistance because it's aimed at a much younger audience and i started bad batch but i stopped because it's so boring. so i wouldn't recommend those
clone wars is george lucas star wars, it's also a tragedy and it's much larger in scale. the fun thing is it's a non-serial arc format made up of blocks of 1-4 episodes with their own (mostly) contained stories, so you could theoretically pick and choose the arcs you want. might loose some of the character stuff that way but honestly it depends on the arc, like you could not pay me to watch the d-squad arc again lmao. (also the disney plus "essential episodes" list is Fucked. idk why the geonosis zombie arc is on there but the siege of mandalore isnt)
rebels is my absolute fav but tbh idk if it's objectively better because i am no longer 14 and i definitely have a massive bias. my experience is that people who really enjoy lord of the rings also tend to really enjoy rebels
ideally the best order would be clone wars then rebels, but it doesn't actually matter when it comes to knowing what's going on. like there are some clone wars characters that show up in rebels so it's nice to have that background but they give you the information you need and i think it would be just as meaningful because it's from ezra's pov and he doesn't know shit

Thanks for answering my ask, if you don't mind me asking (again), what are your top 10 (or top 7) favorite media (can be books/ manga/ anime/movies/tv series)? Why do you love them? Sorry if you've answered this question before......Thanks....
Of course~💕 And again, I don't mind at all~ I apologize again tho that's it's taken me so long to answer this-- ; w ;" But-- onto the answers~
Although, I will go ahead and admit that about half are carry overs from my fav character list lol
1} Howl’s Moving Castle
While this list is in no particular order, this movie was still the first thing that to came, so for that it earns the first spot-- Now, as for why I love it... Aside from some part of my younger brain latching onto Howl as an anime crush all those years ago lol-- I think some of the main reasons I love it are the characters in general, the story/journey of it all, and the fact that even though I've seen it a good few times now-- it's one of those movies that's never failed to make me smile. 100% a huge comfort movie for me, and one that I'll probably never get tired of rewatching every now and again~.
2} Therapy Game
Switching gears a little with this and the next couple spots, but-- Ho boy-- I couldn't not mention this series again as well. Because honestly, I kind of feel like it might be "that one thing" for me-- like... the one that somehow alters your brain just a lil by experiencing it?? And for why I love it... Honestly, I can't even deny or downplay the fact that Minato is a huge part of it-- Probably because I've felt like I can relate to him a fair few times over the course of the story... But also because watching him grow has somehow become this really big thing to me?? Like-- just seeing the ways he's improving himself as a person and partner with Shizuma by his side... it makes me feel so many things, good lord--
Another part of it tho, is the fact that I very much love how Hinohara-sensei is telling their story-- as even if it's coming from a life perspective I myself can't really know first hand-- a lot of the time, it still feels very relatable to me. Like-- I guess I mean that I enjoy how grounded things feel a lot of the time?? Plus, these are more factors related to recent chapter releases, but-- Curiosity is also a big driving force for my enjoyment here. Be it from getting to learn more about Minato and Itsuki's past-- Or, from slowly gaining more hints and just what the deal is with Onodera.
3} Are You Alice?
This plus the remaining list spots will probably come out to less gushing than the above lol, but-- I'd say I love AYA, once again for the characters-- but also, because I find the setting/premise to be interesting as well. I mean, I've always been kind of a sucker for Alice in Wonderland stuff, since watching the Disney movie ages ago-- But, getting this twist of a now crumbling Wonderland, built from "scrap paper"-- where most everything has some sort of dangerous edge to it... and where many character's motivations aren't what they first seem-- It all just makes for something very interesting it me.
4} Dictatorial Grimoire
Although I do feel like this manga has it's short comings, like the major one in that I feel it should've been at least a couple chapters longer-- This is another story I adore for the fact that it takes source material, and twists it into something unexpected. Be that from the Marchen demons themselves, or even the fact that Cinderella turns out to not quite be who we thought him to be for most of the story-- This series tho, it very much earns it's own bonus points for the light tone things take a decent about of the time-- as even with reading over the series a few times by now, I still enjoy and can giggle over a lot of the humor lol.
5} Kuroshitsuji/Black Butler
First major note about this inclusion, is that this series has earned it's place mainly thanks to the anime-- as, while I was once reading the manga, that's something I dropped off from and have yet to pick back up. But also-- while I won't even lie that Sebastian is a major reason for my love of this series, I also adore a chunk of the other cast as well. Namely Grell, Finny, and Pluto to name just a few lol. (which, it will forever sadden me that Pluto is only canon to the anime--) I also adore the theme songs for many points of this series, mainly the OPs-- but a few of the endings I've listened to and enjoyed as well. (i even rather liked season 2-- for as much a train wreck, and non-canon disaster as it is--)
6} Coraline
Circling back around to movies now lol-- Coraline is one of those movies I enjoy for the fact that it's just a lil bit fucked up lmao-- of course, my love for stop-motion style movies/animation totally plays a big role here too. But still-- While visuals are a big reason I love this movie, I still enjoy the experience of it as a whole too~.
7} The Nightmare Before Christmas
Yet another movie I can file into the box of not being tired of, despite having seen it a few times by now lol-- With how much I've come to love Halloween, it's probably no surprise that I'd love this movie too, but-- A main point that's always stuck out to me with this one, is how much I enjoy the music. Sure, I may not go out of my way a lot of the time to listen to the songs on their own-- But, I'll damn well sing/hum the main theme whenever it gets played lmao.
8} Puff the Magic Dragon [1978 tv special]
And finally, this one was something of a surprise entry, even to me lol-- But, I thought about this special again earlier, and just knew I had to include it too. This one is a major blast from my childhood, as I used to rent it all the time... In fact, I rented it so much, that once our local video rental place was closing down-- I actually ended up with the tape, after they offered to let my mom buy/take it lol. And while I know a big part of why kid me enjoyed this was for the songs... As a kid who was almost pretty cripplingly shy most of the time, I think on some level I could relate with Jackie-- and while I might not have really had someone like Puff to help me through that time... Being able to get at least a taste of that via this lil cartoon-- Well, maybe that helped me a lot more than I realized at the time.
{Honorable Mention}
Project Diva
i'm putting this as an honorable mention, since games weren't exactly mentioned in the initial ask-- but also because i honestly haven't got very much to say about this one-- Vocaloid music has been a love of mine for a good few years now (so much so, that i've even thought about attempting to join in the hobby myself--) so enjoying a rhythm game based around that is probably not a shocker, but-- A big part of why I love this game series, aside from that, is the the fact that it serves as a big de-stress thing for me-- something I can do without thinking about it too much, and just kinda letting my brain quiet down for a while.
Food Fantasy
One more honorable game mention-- because even though I've fallen out of playing this one, Food Fan was still a lowkey obsessions of mine there for a while (as some might guess by this blog's "mascot" lol). And while I dunno if I could get back into it now-- I'll still always love plenty of the characters I know of, and was able to obtain there. Not only thanks to their designs, but also for those I got to spend time with-- and, as silly as this sounds, bond with in a way.
