How would STARISH ask out their crush?

Otoya — Chances are, he didn't plan it in the slightest. Otoya asks you out the moment he gets the impulse for it, whenever he feels the time is right. The spontaneity is cute, though, especially because it makes it easy to see that his feelings are truly genuine.

Masato — Formally. Whether it's after a thoroughly planned initial "date" or through some equally well-rehearsed setup, Masato is perhaps a little too concerned with making the moment perfect. He wants to impress you, but his awkwardness clearly shows.

Natsuki — The exact method and context may vary, but however it ends up happening, Natsuki's method of asking you out is going to be adorable. Most likely, it'll be a heartfelt, almost casual question hesitantly asked while you're already spending time together.

Tokiya — Though he's inclined toward formality as well, Tokiya pushes that obligation aside as best he can. You deserve something more honest than the "proper" set-up, after all. He'll deliberate on it for quite a while to decide when and how he should ask.

Ren — His first instinct is to try the "usual" way; as in, the kind of cheesy, excessively romantic way he'd asked out plenty of past, short-term lovers. Ren is perfectly confident in that strategy, too... right up until he's with you, and the plan falls to messy pieces.

Syo — It takes him a lot of time to work up the courage. Asking you out seems easy, at first, but the more Syo thinks about it, the more self-doubt starts to sink in. In the end, he bites the bullet and says it straight-out— even if he embarrasses himself, at least it was honest.

Cecil — Sweetly. Somehow, despite not planning for it at all, Cecil manages to pick a near-perfect moment to ask. It's not a very formal scenario (most likely during a casual hang-out), yet there's something undeniably charming about such an intimate, personal way to ask.

Rumic World Week (Day 5)

Celebrating @rumicworldweek, just answering questions. The number of secondary characters I adore is incredibly high and I doubt I could give any of my choices the attention they deserve, but if I had to choose just one on a whim, I'd go with Masato! Masato is an unusual character from the dark stories of Mermaid Saga! I would go into more detail on this character but as Mermaid Saga is a more serious story, it has more serious spoilers! I recommend anyone who loves Rumiko Takahashi's work but is interested in something less comedic to check out Mermaid Saga!

It apparently wasn't very clear in the dub for a lot of folks, so... May and Max are descended from the Water Folk (might be why their eyes are blue! ... Norman's skin is also a bit darker/tanner, although not to the same extent as the Water Folk we see in the movie who have blue eyes and hair--Norman's hair is black with a blue tint to it, but his eyes are black + Caroline's eyes are blue, but her skin's lighter and her hair's a very ilght brown--maybe both their parents are descendants, but very mixed?)...

Others have also pointed out it's likely that the villain, Pirate Phantom, is also a descendant, as they made his hair blue, despite his early design having silver hair, likely to make it clearer.

Although, Phantom claims he simply researched the Water Folk to know everything about them (he's the one who reads the inscription to everyone, too) and says he had a hard time getting the Water Folk symbol (their jewellery)--the one he has is cracked and broken, which could suggest he took it by force from someone, or that it's just very old and he sought it out somewhere...

That one's been left open to interpretation!

"The Young Master's girlfriend's birthday is on New Year's Eve actually, so after work I have to go along with him to celebrate unless I want an earful from the captain- not that I mind, obviously! We've been friends since I first swore up to Arakawa-san, so I always get a kick out of seeing him when I can. We even have the same birthday you know; it's actually our birthdays today!"

(It's pretty funny how he was born a day right after his girlfriend, isn't it? Might as well be a joint celebration, haha!)

Hello! I've been going on a binge with your Harem Au and I absolutely love it!! I don't know if you are taking requests but can I get Starish harem au? The reader is herself around them and kind. She hasn't asked any of them to sleep with her as she wants to do it with someone who does it because they want to.

Okay here's the actual request. The reader has a guest come over that she wants to spend the night with. The guest comes over in a very sexy outfit. The concubines escort the man to reader's room. They begin to feel jealous when they can hear both of them moaning throughout the night and how the reader will ask anyone to sleep with her than the concubines.

Otoya — His type of jealousy is quite kicked-puppy-like, primarily involving the worry that he's not meeting your expectations. Otoya doesn't quite understand why you haven't wanted to make use of him, in the first place, and this new situation is only making him more stressed about it. He'll break and beg to be used too, soon enough.

Masato — The fact that you're choosing a random guest over him for what he's spent years being trained for is insulting, but that offense is quickly overshadowed by fear. If you really won't make use of him, he's bound to be cast aside eventually. The fear motivates Masato to try to look more eager... and he's desperately ignoring any jealousy.

Natsuki — He was already grateful to you for considering his feelings in the matter, so now, it seems almost rude to feel so jealous and hurt. You're so nice, though, and Natsuki wants to be good for you more than anything. Thus, what starts out as simple envy toward your guest can easily evolve into self-consciousness and fear.

Tokiya — What starts out as a frustrating slight against his ability to perform to your standards soon turns into a harsh wake-up call for just how badly Tokiya wants to properly be yours. It's somehow worse, that way, now that his every attempt to draw your attention only serves to remind him of exactly why he's trying so hard.

Ren — Merely being envious of a more favored plaything would make sense. Feeling outright hurt that he doesn't get your attention in that way too has Ren wanting to combust from shame. He'll beg to be used for his proper purpose if he has to, but the emotional aspect quickly starts to eat at him. He's not supposed to get attached!

Syo — He figures out the "jealousy" part quickly, and is then left to stew in embarrassment for the duration of your guest's visit. The experience is nothing short of miserable, but it does motivate Syo to be a little more clear about what he wants. It's what he's here for, right? Surely, he can work up the courage for this, of all things.

Cecil — After hearing what he did, Cecil turns uncharacteristically bratty. He's struggling to process what feels like rejection, with no idea how to express it, let alone ask for what he now knows he wants. Fortunately, it's not hard to guess what the problem is... and there's no doubt that he wants that kind of attention from you now.
