the funniest possible thing that could happen is if mercedes keeps hiring childhood best friends for their team and everybody's holding their breath waiting for them to tear each other apart like brocedes except it doesn't happen bc everyone else is normal about each other and brocedes is just that fucked up that they would've torn each other apart even if they were on different teams

oh god im not prepared for the ramifications of lewis moving to ferrari. not only because the lecfosis and lewis stans interactions (there will be fights of the highest degree) but also. this move is for 2025. do you know whos contract ends 2024 (and is somewhat relevant to this)? alexander albon. if lewis leaves merc (which. just the ramifications and impact that will have alone are massive), i personally think alex is the biggest contendor for the merc seat, especially since he already has an in with george. last time a 7 time world champ left merc, the remaining drivers best friend took their place. now im not saying that we're gonna get brocedes 2.0 with galex, but im not not saying that if you catch my drift. and i, for one, am not prepared for that

Since silly season has already started here’s who I want to fill the Merc seat

1. Alex Albon (even tho the thought of brocedes 2.0 happening makes me insane. Deserves to be at a top team)

2. Esteban Ocon (Contract is up this season and was a Merc junior)

3. Fernando Alonso (Would be funny, imagine Nando vs Toto, but I will cry if he leaves Aston (Lance))

4. Mick Schumacher🫶 (My personal favorite to get the Merc seat even tho he probably won’t)

do you think it's possible for sainz to go there? and if not where do you think he might go. i don't know if you answered this but im just curious about your opinion

i think if carlos goes to rbr, max has to leave. i dont see them working as a duo (different car preference, politics etc.) will buxton recently mentioned that he thinks he may do the sauber-> audi move as he could be the clear #1 in that team once it rebrands. carlos usually struggles with grasping the concept of being the second driver (officially) so i don't see him going to mercedes (who i think will rather invest in alonso to make up for the loss of lewis or kimi antonelli in hopes of getting max 2.0). aston is also an option now if alonso leaves and he teams up with lance (i think there they have more equal driver status or he could even get some p1 driver treatment.)

someone also mentioned the possibility of RBR or merc buying out oscar out of his mclaren contract and carlos ending up there with lando but who knows, really.

after what max and his side of the garage said, i don't think him pairing up with carlos is an option they're actively considering. i think they much more prefer driver like checo who max doesn't really have issues with and who's very happy to focus on being the number #2. i think they may keep checo for another year, try out liam at RB next year (or maybe even driver swap this year? who knows) and if he's successful, then checo's seat could be his once the regulations kick in in 2026.

who i think is going to get the merc seat in 2025, in no particular order, now that lewis has packed his shit for the prancing red ponies:

1. alex albon - kind of the obvious answer here since merc has a history of getting its drivers from williams and bc hes doing quite well for himself anyway. but also i do not have the mental strength to handle brocedes 2.0

2. kimi antonelli - people are hyping this guy up like crazy and i wouldn't be surprised if he won f2 this year. this is possibly the next max verstappen we're talking abt, and if he ends up being as fast as he has proven in junior formulae then merc will jump at the opportunity to get him in f1. there is obv a probability that he will go to williams in case albon moves or sargeants contract doesnt get renewed, but i think merc will be wanting to get one of their junior academy drivers in that f1 seat.

3. mick schumacher - he's already their reserve driver and has f1 experience so maybe toto wolff decides why the fuck not and puts him in that merc seat. not too likely, but a girl can be delusional

4. fernando alonso - im mostly kidding with this one but honestly i could see him going to merc bc like why the fuck not lol. i mean hes probably not gonna retire anytime soon

5. frederik vesti - he is still a merc junior academy driver and did quite well in f2 in the years that he was there, but his move to european le mans makes me less inclined to believe he will return to formula racing

6. carlos sainz - there is absolutely no way but it would be so fucking hilarious if he and lewis just like swapped teams in 2025

7. esteban ocon - ppl are saying he has a good shot at that seat and honestly maybe? i can see it happening but im not so inclined

tl;dr, i love alex but pls dont make brocedes pt 2 happen, if you put kimi antonelli in the car he might be the next verstappen, everything else is ??????

So I notice in some Renegades posts they've mentioned Emerald, Mercury, and even Ren. Are they part of the team as well? And if Ren is, does that mean Nora is too?

Yes, well, at least not during the whole Mistral stuff. I imagine Merc, Em, Nora, and Ren join up Post-Atlas-Arc, where Salem's plans are pretty much thwarted and stop Atlas from falling. The Renegades 2.0 start traveling around globally trying fix the aftermath of all the shit that resulted from the whole thing; Roaming bandit warbands, lost settlements, refugee crisis, reopening of the Huntsmen Academies, and Atlas's new authoritarian regime (Ironwood still lives and goes full dictator, causing Atlas to secede from the Kingdom Alliance).

I am f26, love books (depending on the length it’s on average one book per week) and adore my dog more than anything else in the world. I have studied comparative literature and now work in the marketing.

I have scarily good memory when it comes to quotes, I can recite some movies almost completely. I also enjoy taking care of my plants, my balcony has hardly any space left because I have so many.

I have sometimes trouble with left/right, so it is normal for me to stand there for a second and tilt my head left and right to figure out what direction is the one I need, before moving on. And I am HORRIBLE at maths. Honestly I am not sure how I got through school, when even basic multiplication can be the end of me.

My love languages are touch and gift giving, when I like you you get swamped with hugs and presents that remind me of you or where you mentioned just ONCE that you want it. I often hold hands with friends while walking around, when they are comfortable with that. I need touch! When I love you, kisses all day long, baby! Cheeks, lips, forehead… actually, wherever I can reach 😂

Sometimes I enjoy most just laying next to someone, both with books or riddles or whatever, just cuddle and be together, enjoying the silence and our company. But always somehow touching.

I am 5‘7 (or 170cm, if you use the metric system), and can sometimes act childish and naive, I love playing games and being a bit cheeky (like, poking someone unsuspecting in the side and then run away laughing like a maniac), but when needed I am serious and take care of my friends.

Yep! It wasn’t f2/f3, but way way back in 2014, when George had been signed to driver for Prema in Formula Renault 2.0 Alps but Lawrence Stroll stepped in and got him Veto’d, which you can read about here (16 year old George then went Koiranen which won the championship with Nyck DeVries, starting a long line of George and Nyck being teammates lol)

Since then, George has been very clearly not a fan of Lance, he’s generally mostly quiet about it, but oh boy there are some ICY quotes out there from George including this one about Lance receiving team order benefits in F3, which is a little brutal, but considering what George has shared about his struggles to get and afford seats before he was adopted by Merc, I get it.

Alex heard Christian liked blonds and literally killed his hair ( he looks hot but those blond hairs are hanging by a thin thread) to try and get a rb seat back. I do think he would do better than checo and I believe in a hot man's right for a second chance so I get it

on one hand I do believe Alex is happy at Williams, he is outperforming that car and is clearly playing a role in its development, building up a team from the bottom and his TP james has nothing but praise for him. There's also the potential merc promotion angle, ft lewtirement and merc seemingly down to recreate silver war 2.0

on the other... i do love a coming back full circle moment. Alex was promoted far too early, and demoted just as swift, and I'd love it if he got a fair shot at it now as a more complete driver. Horner was always complimentary ab him, and Alex talked about Redbull helping him find a seat after so I don't think there's all that bad blood between them. i know Alex girlies hate rbr, would want him to stay in Williams but for me saying no to the fastest car is insane. (Lando 🙄)

but then a friend reminded me that not every driver Wants to be world champion, and the second seat of the best car is a gruelling place to be (both in merc and in rbr during their respective domination eras)
