You can slice and dice me all you want- but you can’t kill me! I’m a Chop-Chop man!
Buggy the Clown (One Piece)
- Just look at him. Of course I love him.
- Domestic Shorthair (classic tabby)
- All of his fur ‘spikes’ up when angry- otherwise, he’s very fluffy and ‘soft’-looking
- Stripes to add to the ‘clown’ look
- Rarely without his makeup, and never without his clown nose
- Spotted beans! Pawpads are red with orange splotches
- Claws can be any color (usually painted green)
- Can be drawn with or without the ponytail
- Average height (which in One Piece means he’s short among the villains)

Hi hope you are having a good day
I wanted to know what would it be like if, Mihawk, Shanks and Buggy had a female s/o that was basically like inosuke from demon slayer, they are a bit dumb but will pick a fight with everyone, and they only wear a bandaged top with like shorts or smt.
You guys have been asking me lots of questions and making me feel loved so here is this!!! (And maybe more spicy things to come later this week 👀)
Characters: female reader x Mihawk, Shanks, Buggy Wordcount: 850 CW: the last bullet point in all of them that are a little spicy
She’s Kinda Stupid, but…
Mihawk
This man is literally so tired. He’s so tired.
Will very often say things like “I didn’t know I was in charge of three children.” (yes Perona and Zoro are his CHILDREN okay) or “Are you acting your age today, or are we pretending you’re six years old again?” or “I’ve met dogs more behaved than you.” (it’s all coming from a place of love and he knows you won't take offense because you don’t take offense to anything)
You’re a brat and he knows it (and loves it). He loves you but god you are so much work when the two of you are out in public. He feels like he can’t take his eyes off you or you’ll end up in a fight with some random guy because he looked at you funny.
Most of the time he doesn’t acknowledge your shenanigans. When you fight with someone, he’ll grab your wrist and physically pull you away from them, usually with some kind of snide remark.
Sometimes you’re justified, though. And when that happens, he gives the guy who wronged you five seconds to apologize before he sets you loose. Most of the time the guy sees Mihawk and apologizes, but the swordsman secretly hopes the guy won't apologize. And on the few occasions they don't apologize, he smirks as he releases you.
He always has to pull you off the guy because you just don't know when to stop. In all truthfulness, it kind of gets him hot and bothered, but he always pretends to be irritated. “You’re psychotic. Do I need to teach you how to behave?” he scolds, his gold eyes scanning your body. “I can think of a few ways to get you to listen.”
Shanks
Shanks adores you. Cheers you on. Loves watching you cause absolute chaos. Why? Because you are him without a conscience.
Shanks knows when he needs to flip the switch from polite to fight, but you don’t. You are always at 100%, your most authentic self 24/7. And he absolutely adores that about you. Even if that means that sometimes you take it a bit too far.
Sometimes Shanks will even use your emotions to his advantage. “Can you believe that guy just did that?!” or “Talk about rude!” knowing full well you’re ready to throw down whoever wronged you or him.
The absolute only time that Shanks will stop you from fighting someone is when you all are in a building. He’s had to pay SO MANY owners back for you destroying glassware and furniture and plenty of other damaged goods. You learned pretty quickly that the first words out of your mouth should be “Wanna take this outside?!” because if you were outside then Shanks didn’t stop you.
The first few fights, he watched carefully, making sure he would be able to jump in if he needed to. The next couple of fights, he watched you with an amused look, excited to see how you were going to beat up the guy (and just to make sure you would win). Nowadays, he doesn’t even feel the need to go outside with you, but sometimes he does just to cheer you on.
After your victory, he always rewards you with a bunch of kisses and sings your praises. He pulls you onto his lap at the bar, making sure everyone knows you're his. “You did so well. I loved how you stomped that guy into the dirt,” he’ll coo, dotting kissing across your neck. “How about later I show you just how proud I am of you, okay?”
Buggy
You never cease in stressing this man out. He is always on high alert now because of you.
Stealth missions? Forget it. Normal day in town? Absolutely not. He BEGS you to be a normal human being in public. To have an ounce of self preservation. But you cannot comprehend that. People who talk shit deserve to get hit.
He is constantly running after you, screaming at you to stop fighting people for no reason. Sometimes he’ll even jump in front of your punches to try and de-escalate it (which of course doesn’t work and results in you just punching him in the face). You don’t even feel bad, you just scream at him to get out of the way and beat up the other guy even more since he made you hurt your boyfriend.
If anyone makes fun of him, he doesn’t even have a chance to scream at them anymore. You’re already pounding their face into the ground. And every time you do, he falls in love with you a little bit more.
“That’s right, that’s my baby!” he screams, watching you smugly walk away from some guy’s beaten body. “Let’s go celebrate, you can do whatever you want.” He grabs your hand, practically pulling you back to the ship.

Hey can I request some fluff with moster trio + sabo and ace where they are just practicing their moves with s/o (female!reader) and they accidentally hit her and she starts crying, it can be in a cute way since I was in a mood for some funny cute stuff hehe
Thank youuuuuu ^^ ♡
So I'm not sure if it's terribly funny, but I think it's cute! and fluffy! Also, sooo many tags! Oh! As a note, Oda said what animals the straw hat's would be, one of Sanji's was a duck, I used this in his.
Warnings: accidental violence, one piece boys beating them selves up, hurt/comfort, mild WCI spoilers
Word Count: 1985
All he’d wanted to do was show off a little, show you what he’d been working on. You may already be dating, but he loved to impress you, to hear you congratulate him and tell him how amazing he was. He loved your praise, loved it when you told him that he was ‘the best in the world’. Then he’d pull you close and hold you. Sometimes for just a short while, sometimes for over an hour. Sometimes he’d fall asleep for a nap with you, sometimes he’d take you with him to go do the next thing. But now you were sitting on the ground crying, holding your injury from where his hit had connected a little too hard. The two of you had trained together before, had sparred with each other before, but he’d always pulled his punches, always been careful about hitting you, giving you what amounted to light love taps rather than full hits. The most he ever did was light bruising, maybe a little soreness, but now you were legitimately hurt. Immediately you were in his arms as he ran to the infirmary with you, his eyes panicked and worried as he set you down. How could he have done this to you? How could he have been so reckless and stupid?!
Luffy
Luffy rarely, if ever, looked so defeated, so downcast. You couldn’t think of a single time where he’d looked so… disheartened. Chopper quickly inspected your nose, sighing as he stopped the bleeding. Miraculously, it wasn’t broken or fractured, but it would hurt for days, it might start bleeding a little as it healed, but it wasn’t broken. Probably a result of Luffy still pulling his punches. Even if he hadn’t been more careful, even though he’d hit you, it hadn’t been full strength, it hadn’t been as hard as it could have been. Even still, he couldn’t stop beating himself up, silently promising never to train or spar with you again. He couldn’t risk hurting you again. Looking up at you, his eyes watered.
“I’m… I’m sorry Y/n, I didn’t mean to, please, please don’t hate me. I’m sorry. I love you, I promise.” Luffy whimpered once you were both out of the infirmary. You smiled lightly as you caressed his cheek, giving him a soft peck on the lips.
“I could never hate you, Luffy. You’re my world, I love you so much. So long as you still want me, I’ll still be your pirate queen.” you said, making the boy smile, his arms wrapping around you as he pulled you close, holding you tightly. He still felt awful about hurting you, but he was so glad you still loved him.
Zoro
Looking at your cut arm in horror, his sword fell out of his mouth before he was dropping the other two and rushing you to Chopper. He’d never actually cut you before! He’d even covered his blades so that he wouldn’t hurt you! But apparently, it hadn’t helped as he leaned against the wall outside the infirmary. He couldn’t look at you, couldn’t watch Chopper tend to your wound. How could he when he’d been the one to cause it? When he’d hurt you like that. He swore he could hear Mihawk in the back of his mind, berating him for hurting you. He should have used practice swords, he should have controlled himself better, he should have been more careful. The worlds greatest swordsman? The world’s greatest swordsman wouldn’t have hurt the love of his life! He couldn’t look at you as you stepped out of the infirmary, your arm wrapped in bandages. You’d needed a few stitches, but nothing serious, or at least, nothing you were concerned about. Facing the green haired man, you put your hands on either side of his face, making him look at you.
“You’re going to be the worlds best swordsman before you know it. You’re already so strong even when you’re holding back. I can’t wait for your rematch with Mihawk, this time, you’ll be the one with a tiny knife while he struggles against you.” you said with a small giggle before kissing his cheek. He looked at you, completely speechless. You… were okay? You weren’t mad? All he could do was nod, wrapping his arms around you and holding you close. He felt so, so lucky to have someone as amazing as you, someone as forgiving as you.
Sanji
This was why he didn’t fight women! This is why he insisted on not fighting you, especially! But after so much begging and pleading, he’d agreed. Then he’d continued, you told him to spar with you so that way he could fight women in the future, so he wouldn’t be helpless against them. Now he sat in the kitchen, head in his hands, his entire body shaking as tears ran down his cheeks. He’d be chain smoking his cigarettes if his hands hadn’t been shaking too much to even hold one, let alone light it and smoke it. He could still see it in his mind, replaying over and over again. Watching you double over in pain, arms wrapped around your middle where his foot had connected with your stomach. What kind of horrible person was he? What kind of monster hurt the people they loved? Was he… was he as bad as his brothers? Was he a monster like them? He heard your footsteps enter the kitchen, tears starting to fall faster as you stopped in front of him.
“Sanji? My darling love, my sun and stars, my sweet starfruit, please look at me.” your soft voice pleaded, the blond slowly, reluctantly lifting his head to look at you. You looked so sad as you began to wipe away his tears, kissing his forehead, his cheeks, his palms, and finally his lips, “It’s alright, mon gentil canard, it’s just some bruising, Chopper said I’ll be fine.” you said, making him tremble more as he quickly pulled you into a hug, burying his face in your stomach as he sobbed. He’d hurt you, yet you still called him yours, he’d legitimately hit you, yet you held him and kissed him. He didn’t deserve you, didn’t deserve such a forgiving angel, but if you saw fit to forgive him, he’d gladly take it.
Sabo
How could he have done this? He had better control than this! He was better than this! Running his hand through his blond locks, he tilted his head back, resting it against the wall he was leaning against. He felt so stupid right now. It seemed like an eternity before you exited the infirmary, your wrist bound in a cast. It had been broken, he’d broken it. He felt even worse. He looked at you, regret etched into his features, surprised when you smiled at him.
“I suppose you weren’t bragging when you said your fingers could crush skulls like eggs. Then again, I expect no less from the RA’s second in command.” you said with a small laugh. Sabo was absolutely speechless. You… you were laughing? You were complimenting him? You weren’t mad?! His mouth opened and closed a few times as he tried to find the words before he pulled you into a tight hug.
“Never again! You and I are never sparring together again!” he said sternly as he held you, burying his head in your hair. You sighed and wrapped your arms around him, knowing how stubborn he could be. Still, you had one way of making it work.     “But how am I going to become better if I don’t have you to help me? You’re the only one strong, smart, and amazing enough to help me get better. The others would just beat me into the dirt without actually teaching me anything.” you said with a fake huff as you wrapped your arms around him. Sabo froze. The others… they wouldn’t hold back like he did, you were right, they’d beat you with ease, wouldn’t hold back, and you wouldn’t learn a thing. Even if he told them what to do, they still wouldn’t know what to do like he did. With a small sigh, he nodded, his arms tightening around you slightly, holding you as if you’d disappear.
“Alright… I’ll keep helping you… but you have to do something for me in return.” he said, hoping to reach a compromise of sorts.
“Of course, anything.” you said, smiling as he agreed.
“Let me take care of you until your wrist is better.” he asked, making you giggle.
“Alright, just don’t go overboard. My wrist is broken, I’m not missing an arm.” you said, enjoying his embrace.
Ace
What had he done? How could he have hurt you like this? Was he a demon like people said? The son of Roger, a demon child. Surely it was a title that fit what he’d done to you! He sat in his room on the floor, holding his head as he tried not to cry. He’d hurt you! He was so stupid! All the horrible thoughts that you normally pushed down came flooding back as he berated himself over and over again, only stopping when he felt something press against his head. Looking up, he saw your beautiful, smiling face.
“Why are you in here, my sweet strawberry? Why didn’t you stay in the infirmary with me? Marco patched me up no problem, but how can I feel better if the love of my life isn’t by my side?” you asked, giving him a small, cute pout as you sat down in front of him, your legs pulled close to your chest as you gave him your sad puppy dog eyes. Immediately, his arms were wrapping around you, pulling you close, his entire body trembling as he clung to you as if you were his only lifeline. His apologies were muffled in your shoulder, but you could still hear them, still understand what he was saying.
“Hey now, Strawberry, none of that. Why are you apologizing for showing me how good you’ve gotten? We were practicing so you could show me your new moves! You’re as amazing and strong and stunning as ever!” you said, holding him close, moving his head from your shoulder to your chest, allowing him to bury his head in your chest, the steady sound of your heartbeat soothing him. You always knew how to make him feel better, no matter what happened.
“I… I hurt you though.” he muttered as his sobs calmed down, still holding you.
“That’s why we have a phoenix on board, my sweet flame. Can’t be hurt if my injuries don’t exist.” you said, your smile widening. Looking at you, he tried to find any evidence of his hit, finding nothing. Your face was still as beautiful as always, still made his heart melt from the love in your eyes.
“I just… please… please let me make it up to you.” he begged, his eyes desperately pleading with you. With a sigh, you nodded, knowing how he’d find a way to make it up to you anyway.
“Just don’t go overboard. It was so minor, Marco would have turned me away if he hadn’t been bored out of his mind.” you said, making the man chuckle.
“Fine, I won’t go overboard. But I want to treat you to something nice. Let me take you out to dinner? We can take a ride on my striker, go out for a bit, then stare at the stars together.” he suggested, making you smile and nod.
“I’d like that a lot, my lovely wildfire.” you said, giving him a soft kiss on the forehead before pulling him into a gentle kiss. The two of you stayed snuggled up like that, the devil fruit user eventually falling sleep on your chest like he often did, slumbering away peacefully like he so often did.

North Blue Language CH 3
“We should take a family photo.” Sora suggests one morning over breakfast. Mihawk and Sanji look at her as she raises the snail camera Mihawk had brought home from a recent voyage.
Sanji has nightmares often, it was a well known fact in the castle. More often than not he would find Sora's room and lay with her but sometimes he would stumble through the fear into Mihawk's who would sit with the boy and calm him down. Sometimes though Mihawk would pass the boy's room and find him in the midst of a nightmare and go whisper softly to Sanji and pet his hair. Sometimes Sanji would wake up, others he would stay asleep. Sora was not free from these events either but always put on a brave face for her son but Mihawk would often catch her in the kitchen sipping tea and would sit with her in silence. Perhaps he would hold her hand or perhaps he would offer to read to her.
Mihawk loved them both very much, so it wasn't an issue to him, they weren't a burden. They had both opened up more, Sanji learning martial arts that focused on kicks and acrobatics and Sora joining him in his office as he looked over maps and letters and gave her opinions. She also kissed him once and giggled at the baffled look Mihawk had given her before asking for another.
Safe to say Sora got to choose what room she spent her night in and Sanji had giggled mercilessly at them over lunch the next day. Sora rolled her eyes while Mihawk cocked a brow at him. Sanji would sometimes crawl into their bed after a hard night and Mihawk's only thought about it was to possibly get a larger bed. Sanji didn't practice with swords anymore, but Mihawk kept him studying the types, curses and how to hold them in case Sanji ever ran into another swordsman that wanted to pick a fight.
“We should take a family photo.” Sora suggests one morning over breakfast. Mihawk and Sanji look at her as she raises the snail camera Mihawk had brought home from a recent voyage. It's been over a year since they came to Kuraigana and several months since their relationship had started.
“A family photo?” Mihawk asks, his voice tinged with humor.
“Yes. Sanji and I were excluded in Germa, you don't have anything other than portraits from the man you killed, a family photo is in order.” Sora says to him with a grin knowing she'll get her way.
“Do we have to dress nicely?” Sanji frowns, feeling the loose and soft cloth of the training clothes that make up most of his wardrobe.
“If you have something nice in your closet I would like you to wear it but if not oh well.” Sora answers. “We're not putting this photo out to a kingdom or to the world. It'll be just for us so it's not like looks matter, no one comes here.”
“Okay.” Sanji nods in agreement and Mihawk sips his coffee.
“Do I need to set up a room?” He asks lightly.
“The sitting room should be fine.” Sora nodded and Mihawk smiles as they finished breakfast. Mihawk and Sora went and set up the sitting room which meant just moving the lounge slightly and figuring out how to set the timer on the snail. Sanji came in and he was still in his black training pants but had found a blue dress shirt that fit and a jacket.
Mihawk and Sora always dress nicely. Dresses were easier to get in and out of for Sora when she was weaker and she was just so used to wearing them that Mihawk had asked a few times but it didn't bother him at all. Mihawk would often find dresses and bring them back, he found a tiara and currently has it hidden in the store room. Mihawk always wore dress shirts and tailored training pants as he was more often than not killing when he was off island, too many who thought they were better when they weren't.
“You should be in the middle.” Mihawk says to Sora.
“With my boys on either side?” She shoots a sharp smile at him.
“Yeah, because you're the prettiest.” Sanji nods and Sora laughs and kisses his head. Sanji smiled as Sora and him sat on the couch and Mihawk managed to get the timer going and sit on Sora's other side, holding her hand on her lap with her other resting on Sanji's knees. The photo turns out well and Sora is beaming. If this is what it takes to keep her smiling like this Mihawk knows he'll do this whenever she asks.
~*~
“Dracule Mihawk!” A marine officer calls to get his attention, more of it anyway. He has just finished a raid of some noble's private island while they're off somewhere else.
“To what do I owe the honor of dealing with the Navy today?” Mihawk drawls as he ties the second bag down to his coffin ship.
“The Navy has a proposition for you! Your bounty is frozen as long as you do what the Navy wishes. It will be under the title of ‘warlord’, you'll be expected to answer to the Navy when called but all you do otherwise is not of our concern.” The officer explains brandishing a letter to the pirate. Mihawk takes it while maintaining eye contact until it's opened.
“The Navy does understand I am not a lap dog, I do as I please, when I please.” Mihawk answers with a glance over the letter.  Meetings, calls, coming and going, all in all it's tedious time away when he could be taking care of his wife and son.
“You'll be left alone more often than not.” The marine tells him and that, well that is tempting. “Hawkeye, you value your privacy more than anything and you defend your island more than most pirates defend their territory and with far more veracity. I believe this will be beneficial for all parties involved.”
Mihawk spares a glance and then goes back to the letter. Boa Hancock, Gecko Moria, Kuma, and Doflamingo so far. How they got Kuma is beyond Mihawk but Boa Hancock even more so. He does not want to deal with any of them. “How many ‘warlords’ will there be?” Mihawk asks.
“All together there will be seven.” The marine answers and Mihawk will give it to the officer in front of him, they aren't nearly as scared as others have been. “Jimbe and Crocodile are our other candidates at the moment.”
“Very well, I accept.” Mihawk says as he kicks his ship off the sand and jumps on board. Yoru on his back as he watches the marine scurry to try to get to his boat. Mihawk notices the rather large carrier ship looking to fire at him so he takes Yoru and brings her down heavily to send an air slash through the carrier.
Heavy metal creaks as he focuses on his sail to swiftly carry him away and back to Kuraigana, back to his home where Sanji and Sora are. He watches the vessel go down as the Marines escape in their life boats. He won't be back for at least a week still, he has to stop and sell the items in markets that cater to pirates, those who don't ask questions about the wares he brings. Mihawk will also pick up clothes from the town that he considers his territory and the townsfolk prefer him over the Navy as well.
He still won't take Sanji and Sora there. Too many bounty hunters who may tell Germa of their existence and ties to him. He loves them too much to even think of what would happen if they were taken from him. Pirates are inherently selfish, Mihawk even more so, having claimed the title of greatest swordsman alive. The townsfolk know and those more comfortable with him tease him.
“You should bring her in so I can tailor it for her,” Annette tells him when he finally reaches town and is looking at a dress, “and that protege you have. He seems like a good boy.”
“He is.” Mihawk answers her.
“Bring them. They should be properly tailored. That boy keeps going through training pants more than the kids here who train to get you now.” Annette smirks at him. She's in her fifties and has been pestering him since he first bought clothes for anyone other than himself from her.
“You know very well, I won't. He's not training as a swordsman.” Mihawk says as he wanders to another rack of dresses Annette has sewn.
“Would you like to see the piece I just finished?” Annette asks as she walks by him to the training pants and grabs several of varying sizes for him. “Absolutely gorgeous, embroidered with silver thread since the winter season is coming up. A fine snow pattern. You’re developing a very small northern accent, boy.”
“Yes, please.” Mihawk nods as he follows the woman to the counter as she disappears into the back of the store. He checks the pants and sets aside the stack that will fit his son. She reappears with a garment bag and lays on the counter, unzipping to show a dark navy dress with snowflakes, small and unassuming almost, the silver threads gathering at the bottom to form the crests of waves.
“No one here would wear it, none of us have something nice to go to. She's yours though.” Annette smiles at Mihawk.
“She is,” Mihawk agrees quietly and further inspection shows it will fit Sora. “I'll take it, and the pants.” Mihawk nods and once his goods are paid for he sets sail for home. When he arrives on the island Sora is waiting on the beach with a newspaper in one hand and her hands on her hips. She's not angry but she is thoroughly unimpressed.
“You took a title?” She asks as Mihawk ties the boat then grabs the bags of goods.
“Yes, I did.” He nods, letting his amusement show.
“I understand because of the frozen bounty but the Government ? Dracule! Hone-” He cuts Sora off with a kiss because it's been two weeks and he has missed her. “Oh don't think you can distract me.” She hisses at him.
“I don't plan to. I will do what the Navy asks me, rarely, and my bounty is frozen.” Mihawk says as they start heading to the castle. “Annette made a dress for you, as well.”
“Well tell her thank you for me, but Dracule, a Warlord? You hate people outside of Sanji, myself, or the town, and you still despise more than half the town!” Sora berates him and she's right. She usually is. “Doesn't Boa Hancock hate men?” She asks incredulously.
“Indeed she does, but I doubt the Navy will have much work for us that we'll agree to. We're pirates first.” Mihawk says. “Personally I'm quite interested in what they will even ask of us. It should stop unwanted pests getting too close.”
“Very well.” Sora nods. “I'm still mad we didn't talk about this first.”
“I expect nothing less, darling.” He smiles at her as they go inside. He gives her the garment bag. Sanji is reading at the dining table so Mihawk pats his hair as he passes by to go to the kitchen. Sanji greets him quietly, too caught up with the cook book he's reading. Mihawk makes a note to buy the boy his own set of knives soon.
When Sora plays the piano that night, the dark blue of the dress with the silver threads glowing orange and yellow in the firelight as Mihawk practices the lullaby about the moon she plays. He sings in North Blue, voice smooth and low as Sanji sleeps in his lap. He is selfish, he loves rarely and deeply and wholly.

Hi hi! It’s nice to meet you Adri😊 I was hoping to request Marco, Mihawk, and Doflamingo with a fem!s/o that looks super cutesy, like innocent and always smiling. But got that sadistic side to her. Like she will straight up pull out a whip or knife out of nowhere if you even look at her funny. She can also says some of the most outta pocket crap, ranging from vile to overly sexual. It’s always the cute and innocent looking ones😔 these men obviously didn’t listen to the saying “don’t stick your d*ck in crazy”😃
Anyways, I hope that wasn’t to bad for you, if it’s to uncomfortable for you to write I understand! 😊 all in all, I hope you have a great rest of your day/evening.
Tumblr media
ѕummαrч - requested ^^
chαrαctєrѕ - Doflamingo, Marco, Dracule Mihawk,
wαrníngѕ - implied suggestive material, unedited bc y’all know me 🤭🥰
ANBDIDHAAHHHHH THIS IS LITERALLY AMAZING and I’m so so sorry about the long wait I took a break to work on my final and work on setting up my college career and good news I have finally finished highschool and now it’s off to college!!! YOUR NOW LOOKING AT A HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE!!!
Tumblr media
☆ dσnquíхσtє 'dσflαmíngσ' rσѕínαntє
- it’s easy for others to over look you. Especially at Doflamingo’s side. Your basically invisible with your sweet outwards appearance. Especially with how dominating Doflamingo can be
- but everyone close to Doflamingo that your really the brain’s behind most things. You seem to know just how to run things and keep everything almost tied around your finger and still keep that innocent appearance.
- you always know the most effective punishment too.
- bc of this Doflamingo depends on a lot of things from you. Whether it’s about what to do in a certain situation or what should be the next power move in the economy or something. But of course he’ll never ask you straight up. It hurts his pride too much.
- you’ve learned the sneak your ideas and suggestions into things without coming off too annoying. This still secures your position in his family
- now when it comes to the actual relationship between the 2 of y’all. The one without all the formalities, Doflamingo loves your split personality. Oh boy, this gets him going. The whole cute, little, innocent lover on the outside, and then a bossy, sadistic bitch behind doors
- not that he likes it, there’s something about you that challenges him. And he loves it. With how intimidating he can be it’s can sometimes be hard to come across a challenge but with you, nothing comes rags
- Doflamingo loves to try and pull fast ones on you. Trying to catch you off guard to get his way without the challenge. However that hardly works. Your always able to find a way to challenge him.
- there are a few things that just make you weak to your knees which makes it’s hard to fight back but in the long run not providing a challenge was totally worth it in the end
- with Doflamingo’s personality it’s easy for you to be yourself, more or less. Your able to challenge Doflamingo without having the worry about hurting him or offending him or anything like that bc he also understands you
- and even if y’all do have a rough relationship that doesn’t mean y’all don’t get along. If it’s wasn’t for Doflamingo you wouldn’t be able to be yourself with anyone
Tumblr media
✿ mαrcσ
- it’s hard to find that balance with Marco. Hes a pretty laid back guy who doesn’t like to stray from the ordinary. However that doesn’t mean he won’t
- there are a few things Marco loves that you do that just makes him head over heels. Something he just needs something to spice things up
- he like when you do this stuff in private tho. He’s prefers for you to not make a big deal of it when you do get all sadistic and what not. He doesn’t want to draw any attention. That why parts of him hate when y’all go out into public together
- even the tiniest glance from someone can set you off. It’s hard to even get those glances tho, seeing how y’all are part of Whitebeard’s crew. However that doesn’t mean it won’t happen. Sometime people end up getting full of themself
- so long story short, you’re a part of the few that aren’t allowed to leave the ship unless your accompanied by someone else. And your someone is Marco or no one else. Let’s just say for those days where Marco leaves you behind you know how to entertain yourself
- Marco always make sure to bring you back something just to make sure you don’t get too hurt about being left behind and do something to Marco
- and once Marco gets back on the ship after a days out, your finally able to express yourself. And Marco even tells you not to hold back. For as dull as Marco can sometime come across as he knows how to spice things up in the bed room
- now these moments don’t come across often. Marco likes have special moments rather than many moments. But that doesn’t mean he can’t be spontaneous. Sometimes all your teasing can get to him. And when this happens, well a lot of people didn’t get much sleep that night
- this is one of this things that keeps y’all relationship balanced. Marco can easily put you back into your place on these nights.
- with a personality like Marco’s it’s hard to find that balance especially with how crazy you can be. However y’all make it work, and sometimes if your lucky enough, Marco can sometime best you in even your own game

♡ drαculє míhαwk
- it’s a power battle with Mihawk. Mihawk, with his old fashion ways, he wants someone that will be gentle, quiet, and someone who won’t cause too much of a fuss. And well let’s just say you were quite the opposite.
- luckily it’s only the 2 of y’all on the island, well give or take the few that crashed the island for a while. So Mihawk doesn’t have to worry about being embarrassed about you. Bc lets be honest Mihawk gets embarrassing when you do anything crazy
- Mihawk is always trying to some you from doing anything sadistic for the sole purpose that he doesn’t like it. Plus it brings a lot of unwanted attention. If you must do anything at least do it in the private of the island
- but when your not doing your whole sadistic brat act, believe. it or not Mihawk loves to travel with you. Keep your comments to yourself and don’t do anything crazy and Mihawk loves you.
- and he also loves you in bed too 😈🤭🤤
- similar to Marco, Mihawk doesn’t like you much it public but when your being your side to the bed, well he loves to take control of the situation
- he likes to have intimate movements often but he doesn’t like when you bring your quickness to the bedroom. Physical touch is one of Mihawk’s rare love languages but as the relationship went on he began fo express it more. That’s why anything sadistic is banned from the bed room
- unless he’s in the mood of course. Bc sometimes even he can use a little excitement.
- it’s still very hard to balanced y’all’s relationship but y’all somehow do it. With how stuck up Mihawk could be and with how you can be, it’s easy for y’all to be annoyed with each other but it’s doesn’t last long seeing how y’all complete each other. You provide that spontaneous adventure while Mihawk is able to provide some type of order and discipline
- it’s hard to come across something like this so breaks are something that needs to happen but that doesn’t mean it hurts the bond y’all somehow created
Tumblr media
- once again I’m sorry about that long wait but thx for waiting it’s been a rough couple of months but it’s finally over!! I’ve graduated both college and high school!! And now it’s off to another college!! But it’s safe to say I’m back now. It’s gonna take a while to back into things but it’s better than nothing. So thanks so much for waiting and I hope you enjoy!!

Mihawk x Reader - Fairy Tail
Tumblr media
Summary : you have feelings for a certain swordsman but you will have to face the sad reality
. ‌ ‍‌ ‍ ‌ ‍ ‌ ‍ ‌ ‌ ‍ ‌If they were to ask you how long you've been feeling something for Mihawk, you wouldn't know how to answer, you couldn't picture the exact moment when you were aware you had a crush on him: is it when you first met him? A cliché, or When did you see him fight, or when did you talk to him, did you both look out on the balcony of his house, with the moonlight illuminating his face ( you accompanied him to his home but it was pouring rain outside so you left the next day ) ? You really wouldn't know how to say it, actually, because you fell in love with him slowly, gradually, and when you realized what you were feeling it was too late, you were already madly in love.
. ‌ ‍‌ ‍ ‌ ‍ ‌ ‍ ‌ ‌ ‍ ‌Same thing, if they asked you what you liked about him. Where should you start? From vampire beauty, which is the thing that is most visible to the eye? By his skill in the sword? From his kindness to you, even if you were just his companion, while other Warlords had always been arrogant and which you had to admit he didn't show often but still impressed you every time and made you feel special? From the elegance of him? Unfortunately, the subject of your crush was, at least in your eyes, perfect; there wasn't a single thing you would change or hate about him.
. ‌ ‍‌ ‍ ‌ ‍ ‌ ‍ ‌ ‌ ‍ ‌Besides being a shy person, there was also another problem that prevented you from approaching him: you were a marines while he was a warlords. When he decided to participate in the various runions, you usually escorted him, sometimes even in the rooms of the Marines base building, when there were meetings also in the following days. So, it was normal to feel inadequate in comparison to him, one of the most feared, while you a mere soldier.
. ‌ ‍‌ ‍ ‌ ‍ ‌ ‍ ‌ ‌ ‍ ‌You never had any hopes for yourself, in fact it didn't even cross your mind, that there could be something, it was better for you not to have this feeling for him and to move on. So when you overhear an argument between two of your colleagues regarding Mihawk and his love life, you should go your own way. . . And instead you find yourself listening to their whole conversation.
<< Did you hear it too then, huh? Mihawk is with Boa Hancock >> one of them says, while stretching his legs due to the previous training.
. ‌ ‍‌ ‍ ‌ ‍ ‌ ‍ ‌ ‌ ‍ ‌What? But isn't Boa in love with Luffy? Until recently she did not talk about the boy with the straw hair, you think while you are a few meters away from them.
<< Well, it doesn't surprise me that much. You saw them? They both seem to be charming vampires, I just hope she changes the temper he has >>
<< Yesterday, I saw them kissing. Damn, I was so jealous of Boa-sama >>
. ‌ ‍‌ ‍ ‌ ‍ ‌ ‍ ‌ ‌ ‍ ‌What did you expect? Why do you feel like crying now? How pathetic, you unconsciously dreamed of a relationship with him, and now you have had to collide with reality: he deserves someone stronger, more beautiful, with more experience and reputation than you. Did you subconsciously feel that maybe one day he would notice you? You remain just one of many marines. This is what you think as you clench your fists and hold back your tears.
. ‌ ‍‌ ‍ ‌ ‍ ‌ ‍ ‌ ‌ ‍ ‌The final blow comes when you look up and see him with his dominant and powerful aura, walking alongside her, a goddess, so proud and confident. Your vision darkens, you have not been able to hold back the tears that are now streaming down your face. Do you have to get out of here, or will they think you're an idiot, and you know what it looks like if his or her gaze moves to you? You then make your way to your apartment in the building, with your head down so as not to show weakness.
. ‌ ‍‌ ‍ ‌ ‍ ‌ ‍ ‌ ‌ ‍ ‌I think in these days i start to write part 2, what you guys think?

I hope you have a good day or night luv 😚💗
King, Sanji with a clingy short fem!S/O who’s a scaredy cat
King x Reader,   Sanji x Reader
Description: King & Sanji (seperate) with a short fem!S/O who is clingy and gets scared easily + oneshot/drabble with her getting scared and hiding behind character
Warnings: very mild implied sexual harrassment (in King’s oneshot), mild cursing
A/N: I’m so glad you liked it, it was so fun to write! 💐 (I love how you used so many emojis in your request) and I hope it’s okay I only did sanji and king, it’s just that this situation ends up fairly long 💕
*for King let’s say you’re around his height, the top of your head is a little above his waist
Tumblr media
King is definitely not the most affectionate person, he’s not a fan of PDA other than having you sit on his lap. if you get too physically affectionate (which is very) then King will warn you in a stern voice to stop, and if you don’t then he’ll move you away or simply place you on the ground and push you away
in private he’s more okay with you being clingy, still not the fondest though
he has nothing against your height, he (secretly) finds it adorable and he likes to watch you walk around the Beast Pirates crew because he finds it amusing to see the height differences between you and everyone else, your height is another reason he prefers having you stay on his lap often or at least have you right next to him- he’s worried someone (Kaido) will step on you
he also likes the way your hand looks on him, whether it’s resting on his arm, his chest, or his own hand, he always stares at the interaction and admires how precious and sweet you look
he sometimes finds your cowardness irritating, but even as he scolds you or strictly teases you for being scared so easily, he’s happy that you come to him to feel safe- honestly he never thought someone would feel safe with him nor did he want someone to until he met you
and after he scolds you he always pushes you away or behind him so he can handle whoever messed with his angel (usually it’s Queen, he likes messing with King and one of the most effective ways to do that is to mess with you) he also uses his wings as somewhat of a shield for you, providing cover usually
+ oneshot
You tentatively walked through the dimly lit hall in the Beast Pirates base, the cold stone chilling the air around you and creating a slight echo of the patter of your shoes.
keeping your eyes trained on the ground while a few lesser crew members passed you, you followed the little cracks in the stone, branching out and creating intricate patterns- your eyes fell upon a pair of shoes and you froze midstep, looking up and perceiving Queen staring down at you, an unsettling smirk contorting his face
you smiled slightly up at him, trying to step around him and continue only to be stopped by his hand reaching out and tilting your head to look at him, the touch seding shivers down your spine, the bad kind of shivers
it wasn’t unusual for Queen to mess with you, enjoying your disturbed and fearful reactions as the sadistic man he is, and the reaction he gets from King is pure gold to him- he enjoys making King get protective so he can tease him for being so smitten
“______, how bout you come with me! some of the crew are going to sumo wrestle! come see their heads pop off!”
Queen laughed at your unsettled expression before leaning down a bit and blowing smoke out into your face,
“or maybe I should snap the collar on you an’ throw you into the ring”
you gasped, causing Queen to chortle in amusement- you took the moment of his distraction to move away from his touch and scurry off down the hall, hearing Queen call after you in a mocking tone and follow in pursuit
you hurried through the halls and spotted King at the end in the large room at the end, he stood at the table conversing with Jack, though clearly uninterested with the subject
you picked up your pace and your heels clicked against the ground alerting King, who knew you are the only one who wears shoes that make that sound. he turned to the entrance happy to have something to do other than play with Jack, but he didn’t like the worried expression on your face- nor Queen rounding the corner after you having all too familar mischievous expression on his lips.
scurrying into the room, you ran over to King and hid behind his large wings. his glare never left Queen as the large man entered the room and moved towards where you stood huddled against King’s wings, stopping in front of the armored man and taking a long drag on his cigar.
“what are you doing you moron”
Queen laughed at King’s protectiveness already showing, finding amusement in his crewmember’s smittenesque.
“I was inviting her to play a game you jackass!”
he laughed heartily at King’s insulted and angry expression. your boyfriend took a step forward, now only a few feet away from Queen- the atmosphere in the room grew tense and Jack was watching with wary eyes matching yours as you watched the two calamities square up, both ready to strike if it came to it. but King is observant, he saw that Queen had no intention of hurting him, he simply wanted to scare you and get a rise out of him.
he scoffed and turned begrudgingly back to you, moving to take a seat at the table and lifting you onto his lap with ease. you settled against his steel covered chest, still slightly shaking from Queen’s scare- King’s eyes narrowed at Queen when he chuckled again and sat in the chair between King and Jack, throwing a wink in your direction. King visibly flinched and his behind left the chair momentarily before returning, remembering that’s what Queen wanted- and you were safe on his lap.
Tumblr media
Sanji is super clingy himself, he has no problem at all with your affection and neediness. he’s always more than happy to hug you or cuddle you or kiss you, it’s one of his favorite things to do- he’s constantly asking himself how he got so lucky to have a girl like you
one of the things Sanji finds most adorable about you is your height, no matter what you do Sanji thinks you’re the cutest thing ever, he’s always offering to carry you, he always pulls you onto his lap- back hugs are another one of his favorite things because your body is so much smaller than his own and he thinks it’s adorable how perfectly you fit in his embrace, and don’t even get him started on how cute your hands look holding onto his hand
your slight cowardness gives him an excuse to hold you even more, he offers his hand or arm for you to hold, and whenever you grab onto him he has to fight back the squeals and focus on the problem at hand, making sure you feel safe and are completely out of harm’s way
+ oneshot
the island you docked at had a quaint little town, small but bustling with life- you had gone to look at a store for some new clothes. unfortunately you couldn’t find anything and you had to head back to the ship empty handed. to make things even worse, while you were watching the ground you bumped into someone, who happened to be much bigger than you and piss drunk.
“oi! what the fuck do you think you’re doing?!”
you swallowed the lump in your throat, stuttering out an apology that only seemed to make the man madder.
“you need to fucking watch where you’re... you’re going”
he swayed on his feet and leaned down so that he was face level with you, pointing an accusing finger in your face and once again his alcohol filled breath invaded your senses.
“you-you have no idea who you’re dealing with”
his words slurred together and his unbalance caused him to lean forward slightly and you took a step back- all of a sudden you heard a familiar voice over the crowd’s chatter.
“______-swaaaan!!”
you looked to the side and spotted the relieving blond hair bouncing through the crowd while your boyfriend quickly weaved his way through the crowd towards you. stopping beside you and throwing his hands wielding shopping bags into the air.
“I got you gifts my beautiful  _____-swan!”
this is when he noticed the man far too close for his liking, his face fell with his arms, turning to one of suspicion and confusion, then to one of disgust and slight anger. he handed you the bags gently and stepped in front of the man, shoving his hands in his pockets.
“why are you bothering my little _____-swan?”
his voice was tight and you could tell he was mad, but the strager didn’t seem to pick up on the danger in his drunkness. you reached up and clutched the bottom of Sanji’s jacket in your hand, he felt the action rigth away and his anger dissipated and his face broke into a huge grin. he spun on his heel and threw his arms around your waist, picking you up and smushing his cheek against yours while he rambled about how adorable you are- his perfect moment ruined by the stranger’s words.
“she ran into me you bastard, make her *hiccup* apologize before I do”
“oi, don’t ignore me!”
Sanji’s smile faltered slightly and he lifted his foot, spinning quickly and kicking the man with such force that it sent him flying away through the wall of the shop behind.
“I’m trying to hug my angel! don’t interupt you idiot!”
“_____-swan I’m so sorry you had to see that~!”
you giggled at Sanji’s foolishness, leaning you head down to peck his nose- making his cheeks turn an even brighter red and he squealed.
“ooh we need to get back to the ship so you can try on the clothes I got for you my dear!”
he placed his arm under you, switching to holding you in a bridal style, and he pranced off down the street towards the awaiting ship- his face still dangerously flushed and his eyes closed in joy.

Only, the evil Doflamingo also wishes to have the reader by his side. The aura emanating from each protagonist in this room was undoubtedly intoxicating— meaning that if a poor soul belonging to a rookie of the Marine were to step foot in the forbidden room, they would instantly bend under the invisible pressure created by the alliance of Shichibukais. In another context, and under different circumstances, the household names present in the vicinity could, metaphorically speaking, be considered as the embodiment of a guaranteed promotion if they were to be caught by the Marine all together. Unfortunately (or fortunately according to your point of view), the relationship between each Shichibukai and the Marine prevented anyone from daring to even nourish their hushed fantasies about capturing any of them for their own profit— they were pirates, they were fueled by the seven deadly sins, they had stains of blood on their hands and above all : they were untouchable. What a sweet, sweet paradox.
Some enjoyed this privileged status more than others, but amongst this group, all of them would think of the Marine each time they committed a crime— apparently, having the epitome of justice on their mind whilst accomplishing the dirtiest deeds humanity could think of made said deeds even more enjoyable as it was motivated by the impossibility of being reprimanded and thus, live a life filled by crime and sins.
But amongst their rarely mundane occupations, the Shichibukais still had to bend under the measures which came with their status, one of them being that their presence was mandatory to meetings to the top organized by the finest names of the high hierarchy of the Marine : Sengoku, Kizaru, hell, even Akainu despite his boiling hatred for pirates, the scum of Earth in his opinion.
The moments leading to the meetings were always the same — each protagonist would silently defy another one, the deafening silence squeezed between them would often hold interrogations or statements such as « what else have you accomplished since last time? », « I see I’m still superior. or « My reputation shines the most between the two of us. » communicated through hushed laughters, a raised eyebrow or a smirk plastered upon someone’s facial expression. These moments were always both stuck in time, because of how heavy they felt, because the pressure emanating from each Shichibukai reached its apex, because the oxygen became almost rare due to the toxins lacing each word longing in the air, because of who these people were. And yet, they were your favorite moments because they were the most intriguing— an irresistible mix of passion and curiosity.
You were sitting between two of the biggest producers of this vivid aura of intimidation— Sir Crocodile on your right, and Donquixote Doflamingo on your left, in all, you cursed and blessed yourself at once for having chosen this spot. Truth be told, ‘chosen’ was an exaggeration. Allow me to tell you about this tale.
Each time a Shichibukai would enter the room, naturally, all eyes would be set on them. Judging stares, sometimes, glances which translated to « How come they are still alive? » or « Why are they still alive? » But when you stepped foot inside the meeting room, a new kind of tension spread through the room, and the two protagonists to blame both wore extravagant coats and had a sordid fascination for torture. They were gazes of envy, jealousy in its most vivid form, and silent questions hung in the air : « How come they aren’t mine yet? » Or statements like « I refuse to let this excuse of a man claim them, they are mine, and mine only. » (A statement, which, by the way, worked both in Crocodile and Doflamingo’s way.)
« My, my, my! Look at what the cat dragged in, ‘can’t say I’m complaining though, fufu. » The laughter itself was the signature of a maniac, which, needless to say, belonged to Doflamingo whose eyes were following your every move from his chair, his legs spread apart.
« Did you miss me that much since last time, Doflamingo? » You asked, as a form of rhetorical question, a fainted smile crept its way onto your face once the last syllables left your lips.
« I would be a liar if I said you didn’t occupy my mind these last few days, Y/N, and you should know how much I despise liars. » As the word ‘liar’ rolled off his tongue, his smirk faded away and instead, the emergence of a vein on his forehead was noticed as he reminisced the betrayals which stained his past.
You knew better than to interfere when Doflamingo dangerously crossed the line between moral and immoral, instead, you scanned the room to find a vacant seat to occupy. Perhaps next to Hancock? At least, you wouldn’t be bothered by the men here. Oh, but she was bound to drown you with stories regarding the man of her life, not the smartest choice. The seat next to Mihawk seemed like a good option as well, but he was not one for conversation and you would end up talking to yourself. Another choice would b—… « Y/N, I could not help but notice you were desperately looking for a seat to occupy. How convenient, the seat next to mine happens to be free. Of course, the choice is yours, I only took it upon myself to offer you the best option. » Oh, such a suave voice you could have recognized amongst a thousand voices.
This statement caused a chain reaction : your orbs were now focused on the beholder of these daring words, an amused grin stuck across your face; Doflamingo’s vein grew bigger as he caught the audacity coating Crocodile’s every word; Hancock’s palm hid a hushed laughter at the reaction of the blonde Shichibukai, Mihawk silently wished he could disappear. Enticed by his words, you start walking in his direction until a warm touch stops you in your tracks : upon closer inspection, it was a harsh grip on your wrist which belonged to Doflamingo who (now) combined both the raging vein on his forehead and his signature smirk, a duo made in hell. « Don’t be ridiculous, Crocodile-Man, Y/N knows, deep down, that I will take a way better care of them than you ever could, don’t you, lovebird? Fufufu. » And that, precisely, was the definition of ‘taunt’, a presentation of mankind’s most provoking aspects showed by Doflamingo.
Crocodile hushed his response, judging that entering Doflamingo’s mind games would the equivalent of handing him a victory he categorically refused to give him. A fit of smoke was blown, perhaps as a sign of exasperation, Crocodile was not keen on dragging this pseudo fight any longer— his hook circled around Doflamingo’s arm, and in a swift motion, your wrist was no longer the martyr of his tight hold. You couldn’t even gather enough time to bring your wrist to your chest that Crocodile’s large palm snaked around the same wrist and yanked it in his direction.
The aftermath of this motion was everything Doflamingo had once dreamt of, or rather feared in his most vivid nightmares— the sight of you, sitting on someone else’s lap. After all, wasn’t his lap welcoming? What did Crocodile have that he did not? It was infuriating, even more so because he could not seem to find the answer to this riddle, perhaps, in the worst case scenario, there was no answer in his favor and he was doomed to observe you sitting on your newfound throne. A vision of horror which made him frown and turn his smirk upside down, on the other one hand, Crocodile offered him his most victorious grin on a silver plate, a silent way to state his undisputed victory.
Crocodile’s hook was pointed in Doflamingo’s direction whilst his hand encompassed your waist— a clear and distinct switch in body language if you will : on one hand, the palm resting on your waist echoed to protection and desire to keep you closer to him, on the other one hand, the hook facing Doflamingo translated to a clear case of threat and perhaps even a way to dissuade him from tempting anything he might regret in a very soon future.
« It appears that victory is mine, wouldn’t you agree with me, Y/N? » Although Crocodile’s interrogation contained your name, it was directly targeted towards Doflamingo. « Don’t be fooled, the only person who won here is me. You’re bickering like kids while I’m getting all the attention, I can’t say I hate it. » You replied, the playful tone lacing your words matched with the grin spread across your face.
This not only signed Crocodile’s victory but also the beginning of the Shichibukai meeting, and almost every protagonist in this room had forgotten about the oh so important reunion—  the distraction brought by the quarrel of hearts between Crocodile and Doflamingo seemed to have hogged all the attention of the spectators of this scene.
Sengoku made his way into the room, an intrigued expression on his face which was as clear as daylight, « Sir Crocodile, Y/N, you do realize there are other seats in this room? » he questioned, although he was wondering how the situation escalated until reaching this point. « I’m afraid it will not be necessary, Y/N has already claimed their seat themselves. » Crocodile stated, with the same ill intention to send toxic jabs in Doflamingo’s way whose vein grew bigger under the more-than-obvious indirect verbal blow. « He’s right, this isn’t too shabby. » Sengoku showed no sign of surprise whatsoever at your response, he was in a room full of the most dangerous human beings alive, what else could he expect from them?
And so the meeting went on, and on, and on. But Crocodile’s position remained still— his digits brushed against the bare skin of your arm, and from time to time, his glance would switch between your from Doflamingo’s enraged figure (who was clearly not listening one bit to anything Sengoku was saying) and yours. But whenever his orbs landed on you, Crocodile could not help but drink in your presence and admire each detail crafted by the Gods until he could remember each inch of your body with closed eyes. You were torn between paying attention to Sengoku’s formulas and battle tactics, because it was a part of your job as a Shichibukai, and let your subconsciousness take the lead and allow yourself to melt into Crocodile’s warm and intoxicating touch. Each time the brushing motions would cease, it felt like the aftermath provoked by drugs— you craved for it, you needed it, and he quickly understood the underlying orders to continue through your pleading eyes half-hidden by your lashes.
« … Thank you for attending this reunion, you’re all free to go now. » Sengoku announced to a semi-attentive crowd before leaving the room, followed by Mihawk, Jinbei, Hancock (who did not miss to send a wink your way upon leaving), Kuma and Moria. Isn’t luck a wonderful thing? Now it was only the three of us in the room.
Doflamingo stood up, to your surprise, as if he was ready to leave the room too. He dangerously reduced the space between the two of you as Crocodile brought you closer to his chest to balance the cruel lack of distance. For a few seconds, which seemed eternal, Doflamingo allowed his orbs to roam free on your figure, drinking your stance in for future memories. His genetically given long finger traced the edge of your jaw, malice fueling his every move : « I can assure you that I will see you very soon, lovebird, and this time, I won’t lose and you will be mine. Have fun while you still can, crocodile-man, fufufu! » His maniac laughter signed the end of his presence in this room, now it was only you and Crocodile.
Silence lingered for a bit, as a way to let the both of you soak in the glory or the horror, depending on your sense of perception, of the events which had taken place earlier on. You were now the sole holder of all of his attention, and being the two only protagonists in the room offered the privacy Crocodile had secretly begged for since the arrival of Doflamingo. « Say, Y/N, would you really want to be his? » He asked although he was not really asking sincerely, taking another drag of his cigar as he awaited for your answer.
You brought your thumb and index right underneath your chin to fake a sense of interrogation, but the answer had already been stuck on your mind since you laid your eyes on Crocodile : « Mhm, I wonder… I mean, Doflamingo is pretty handsome if you ask me. What do I win if I choose you? » The faked innocent tone of your voice drew a harsh contrast with the importance of the question, but oh well, he had already noticed that. « Well, first of all, he will never kiss you quite like I do. »
If it was even possible, Crocodile reduced even more the space between the two of you until your respective chests were touching, his hook was delicately applying the pressure needed on the small of your back to keep you steady. Before respecting the rules of performative language, he admired once more the traits adorning your face and that’s when he realized that none of the paintings he owned could ever compared to the masterpiece of details and panorama of shades that were your face, he just hit jackpot.
His finger lingered just where Doflamingo’s digits used to be a few seconds ago, as a way to re-claim his territory and leave his imprints for good. Amused, Crocodile concluded his journey of touches by letting his palm rest right on your cheek in a way that his fingers could meddle with your hair behind your ear. Your lids shut close in response to his touch, already anticipating the explosions of sensations which was bound to come. And there, at this very moment, the explosions were set free and turnt into a myriad of fireworks— his lips crashed against yours and everything around you felt hot : your lips, his intoxicating touch, the sparks in your belly, you felt like a living volcano caught in eruption. His lips were perfectly molding against yours, as if they were made to melt against yours, like poetry in motion, if you will. Crocodile wasted no time and deepened the kiss, tilting his head in the process, you were breathless but you were willing to give up on air if it meant you could rest your lips on his until being persuaded of seeing stars.
To your surprise, he was the one who broke the kiss— don’t be fooled, his lungs hadn’t failed him yet, he was just dying to see your face contorted under the desire for more lingering touches and kisses. He couldn’t help but allow a chuckle to break free from his lips at the sight he was waiting for, or rather, the sight which confirmed his thoughts. « I shall take it as you belong to me now, and I’m positive you do not see anything wrong with this, my treasure. » And he concluded his sentence with yet another kiss planted on your lips, he was finally at peace with his feelings, knowing he had you now.
Moral of the story : never linger on an uncharted territory for too long while claiming loud and proud that you want to make this territory yours, the crocodile will always strike first.

[ZOLU] Pardon My Imprudence Chp.1
((Note: Hey! I made a One Piece fanfic a while back but never fully published it :) So here it is for anyone to read. I hope you enjoy!))
He doesn't intend to mess up. Usually, it's something that happens in the fault of his obliviousness. If he truly meant to slip and almost cost his life, it was always from his own self-righteousness. In school, it was grades. The only good grades he got in his first week of freshman year were from PE. He was lucky enough to escape with C's, mostly. Even his name, Monkey D. Luffy, was written sloppily and never taught into care. Until his friend, Zoro came around. They met at a frozen yogurt shop, as Zoro explained he was hungry and wanted a snack before he headed to his house where his parental guardian Mihawk was. After the first week of school, Luffy's friend looked bewildered at the grades he kept up. Zoro was a slacker, but he always made his way towards B's. Luffy instantly got C's in his first week of school! Zoro decided to teach him some aspects of math for an hour or two each day since they met at the frozen yogurt shop every day since then.
"You see, it's all easy. This is just a review from last year." Zoro said, calm and collective.
Luffy took a bite of his froyo, pouting and talking with small lips."I didn't even pay attention last year."
Zoro sighed and looked at the teen, a little annoyed but more just disappointed.
"Usopp said you can lie out of homework by pretending you have a stomach ache," Luffy mumbled.
Zoro smiled and questioned in his head Luffy's choice of friends. It seemed like he was the only normal person in the clique they had. There was Nami, who always asked them for a dollar to get chips from the vending machine and asked for 20 dollars when doing Zoro's homework. He didn't ask her to, but she forcefully made him anyways. Then there was Usopp, who lies constantly and attempts, unsuccessfully, to get out of any possible pester in school. After that, there's Chopper, who looks 7 but is actually the same age they are. He's 4'5 and is already in Math 3, even when the first semester always starts with Math 1. His counselor immediately put him in with Grade 10 kids. And lastly, Luffy, who's a flunk in all his classes except for PE. He has a knack for childish things and goofs around at school.
"My brothers try to help me with homework but it always fails..." Luffy continued.
Zoro raised an eyebrow while asking."You have brothers?"
Luffy nodded and put his pencil down."I have 2 brothers in their Senior year."
Luffy explained one to be Ace and another to be Sabo. Ace got a little irritated too fast, but he cares for other people. The irony of it is that he's also a little too confident in himself. Sabo is kind, really smart, and gives Luffy really good advice. He continues to tell Zoro that they don't help him very much because he has a low attention span.
"At least you got through some parts of your homework with me," Zoro commented, after hearing even the brightest of people can't go through any sort of brain training with Luffy.
"Yeah! You're the first person to go through more than 3 problems of my math homework with me."
"Maybe the teacher'll give you SOME credit..." Zoro remarked.
"I bet it won't be that bad!" Luffy said, grinning.
This kid is highly positive, Zoro thought. Just hearing a silver lining like that when he only did 1/10th of his homework is surprising. So they talked, did a few more math problems, and headed off both different ways. Luffy started school the next morning and sufficed a little smile on the teacher's face. Then the teacher continued to tell him to keep on going and to lay off the video games for a little bit. Of course, Luffy never listened.
It's been 2 months. Zoro continues to hang out with Luffy and his friends. The time is almost near for Halloween, and Luffy is excited to dress up. Of course, Zoro never tries to dress up and gives candy out instead. The children laugh sometimes and tell him he didn't have to dress up because he's already scary. The sophomore was used to this. He wasn't really afraid of backlash or anything of that matter. It doesn't help him that he got grade retention and wasn't able to do junior work either. Most kids try not to make fun of him anyway because he has a resting death glare. What's strange to him is his grumpiness floats away when he sees Luffy. His face is still scary, but inside, he'll feel a lot more comfortable.
"Zoro. What did I tell you about wearing dirty clothes?" A low voice called. It was Mihawk, his parent guardian. He adopted Zoro when the boy was 7.
"Right, I'll get a black shirt. Those are better with stains." Zoro said, going up the stairs.
Mihawk followed him with his eyes."Be sure that one is clean!"
"Alright, I get it."
Perona sighed and crossed her arms. "Papa, why does he get to dress all casual?"
"That's just his style. I can't get him to wear anything formal unless we're going somewhere prestigious."
"Hmph. He's a lazy bum, that's also why."
Zoro called from his room out loud."I heard that."
Perona's face grew red in irritation."So what?!? You already know it's true!"
Mihawk lowered his hand as a gesture for them to quiet down.
"Now, now children. There's no need to quarrel right now."
"Papa, I'm gonna be an elegant witch!" Perona said, twirling her dress around.
Mihawk looked at her with uncaring eyes. He nodded and glanced at the slightly opened door, in which was opened by Zoro. He had a suit on with a masquerade mask, his shoes reflected intensely on the marble floor. Mihawk was really confused at what he was wearing.
"So why do you decide now to dress up on Hallows Eve?"
"I'm going to my friend's house. We're going to the fall festival tonight, remember?" Zoro said, nonchalantly.
"I didn't try to remember because it sounded so unbelievably fake, but, as you wish." Mihawk turned to Perona.
She pouted and went downstairs to put the candy outside. Zoro checked on his phone and put it in his back pocket, and was about to leave. Mihawk spoke.
"Zoro."
"Yes?"
He looked at the teen very seriously.
"The only reason why you're retaking sophomore year is because you need to learn discipline. Procrastination is not the answer for everything. And if you fail this year again, you will not live in this house."
Zoro looked at him with unblinking eyes.
"Do you understand, my boy?"
"Yeah. I get it." He said, no nervousness or strain in his voice.
Mihawk smiled and left to his room.
___
There was a knock at Luffy's door. He quickly opened it and hugged Zoro tightly.
"Zoro! You came, you really did!"
The teen grunted angrily. "Alright, alright. I know I'm here. Get off already."
Luffy smiled at him warmly. For a second Zoro had this feeling. He couldn't think of it because Luffy pulled him to the couch before he tried to observe his thoughts.
"Sooooo Zoro! These are my brothers! Ace and Sabo!" Luffy said, grinning.
Ace and Sabo were both dressed casually. The only costume piece Ace had was a really creepy looking mask on the side of him. They both had long hair. Ace's was straight jet black and Sabo's was a fairly wavy golden blonde.
Ace smirked."Hi. You're Zoro?"
"Yeah."
"Well nice to meet ya."
Ace firmly shook his hand. Afterward, Sabo reached out and shook Zoro's hand as well.
"Glad to meet you!"
Zoro sat down and Luffy tossed him a bag of chips. Zoro tossed them back and shook his head.
"Aw, why not?"
"I'm saving my stomach for the festival."
Luffy smiled."Oh, okay! When are we leaving again?"
"In 10 minutes."
Sabo replied."You can play a few video games with us if you'd like."
"Yeah, sure. We're up for another game." Ace said, fiddling with the controller.
"Okay, I'll play a few rounds," Zoro said as he caught the tossed controller that Ace had gave him.
Luffy sat on the carpet and watched the brightly colored screen for what seemed like seconds to him, until he noticed Zoro stood up, looking at his watch.
"We should go now." He turned to Ace and Sabo. "It was nice meeting you."
"Of course! You're always welcome if you want to hang out." Sabo said, trying to be as polite as he could be.
Luffy skidded out with his scarecrow costume on and grinned at them, shouting a short bye as they went out the door. They walked down the blocks and talked to each other.
"Your brothers are nice. Unless they were doing that just to keep an impression." Zoro said.
Luffy laughed."No, they don't do that! They liked you!"
Zoro sighed."Yeah, yeah. Why are you a scarecrow anyways? You don't scare anyone."
"Ace told me it suits me."
"Maybe he was wrong then," Zoro replied, coldly.
Luffy frowned."No, Ace is usually right about me."
Zoro decided not to respond. They finally got there after a few short conversations. The lights were dim and people gathered around the pumpkin patch and buffet. Luffy ran after the buffet, and Zoro's response was to run after him and tell him angrily to slow down. The boy chomped down pumpkin pies to turkey, as people looked bewildered at the teenager's appetite. They laughed softly and continued eating. Zoro rested his head on his hand and glanced at the boy.
"You sure like eating."
"Who doesn't?" Luffy said, happily.
"People who don't eat," Zoro said, chuckling at his remark. He knew it wasn't funny, but somehow he got a kick from it.
Luffy gasped."Some people don't eat?!?"
Zoro smiled."Sure. There's a lot of people that don't eat. It's in a lot of religions. Fasting. Haven't you learned about that?"
"No!!! Well- maybe I did and didn't pay attention."
Zoro handed the waiter a check and continued to eyeball Luffy's eating. He finally stopped and fell on the grass. He belched and smiled calmly.
"That was like eating in heaven's gate~"
Zoro was still smiling. He felt weird to have been smiling all that time. He doesn't usually smile all that much. But somehow being around Luffy made it felt so comfortable to smile. He lent Luffy a hand as he got back on his feet.
"Here. Pick a pumpkin and we'll carve it at your house when we get back."
"Reeeally?!? Awesome!"
Luffy hurried to the pumpkin patch and tried to find a good pumpkin. Zoro watched him scavenge for a while until the boy put out the smallest pumpkin in front of Zoro's eyes.
"What's this?"
"It's a pumpkin!" Luffy said cheerfully.
"Why'd you pick the smallest one?" Zoro said, looking at all the other ones.
"Well, I just like this one better!" He said.
Zoro smiled warmly and scuffled Luffy's hair. "Come on, let's go."
They started to walk back, slowly but surely.
"Zoro," Luffy said.
"Yeah?"
"You seem grumpy a lot. What's wrong?" Luffy said, worried.
"That's just my personality. You'll get used to it."
"Right," Luffy said.
They got quiet for a few seconds.
"Zoro, do you ever feel that if you don't do something you'll make everyone angry?" Luffy asked.
"Of course. My father says if I flunk sophomore he'll kick me out."
"Kick you out?" Luffy said, surprised.
Zoro nodded."How about you?"
"Well...I have to fight this one guy."
Zoro's eyes widened."Fight? You?"
"Yeah. And the whole school doesn't like him so if I don't win they'll get angry at me. And I'll be angry at myself." Luffy said, hands in his pockets.
"I have a hard time believing you fight people," Zoro said.
"People say that a lot," Luffy mumbled.
Zoro thought about what he said and kept on walking. When they got to the house, Luffy quickly hugged Zoro and told him 'thank you'. He opened the door to let him in. Zoro felt a little confused at what just happened, but entered anyway. His mind was fighting to get the hints. Just that second of Luffy touching him, his smaller frame against his and his chin pressed on to Zoro's shoulder. It was strange what he was feeling. He decided to just ignore it for now.
"You guys are back already?" Ace said.
Luffy nodded, then scurried to the kitchen, where Sabo placed a plastic wrapped pie. Sabo smiled and looked at Zoro kindly.
"I made an extra pie, but I knew Luffy wouldn't have eaten it because of the festival. Would you like to have it?" Sabo asked.
"I'm good. You guys can have it." Zoro shortly answered.
Sabo look surprised but laughed and put it back.
"You're really generous, Roronoa!"
"So are you guys gonna cut this pumpkin or not?" Ace said, a tiny bit impatiently
Zoro came up to the pumpkin with a kitchen knife. He cut around the stem, his movements smooth and precise.
"How are you so good at cutting pumpkins, Zoro?" Luffy asked, watching him.
He continued to cut,"My dad taught me when I was 7." Zoro took off the lid and spoke again,"We're a very Halloween orientated family. We don't fool around with decorating."
He handed Luffy the knife."You can cut things out now."
Luffy grinned and dug the knife in the pumpkin. when he cut out his first eye it was huge because he didn't know how to properly handle the knife, and always worked in straight lines. Zoro grabbed Luffy's hand and positioned in on the knife.
"You have to hold it like this. Try again." Zoro said, after observing Luffy's hand posture.
Luffy carved again. And Zoro was right. He was more accurate with his cutting. The second eye was out, and now Luffy was cutting out the mouth. Luffy was silent when he was carving, but he still had that warm smile on his face. The feeling that pleasured Zoro to be comfortable, and maybe even cracked a smile out of him was there again.
"Done!" Luffy said as the mouthpiece dropped onto the newspaper spread.
Zoro looked at it and laughed. Luffy pouted and pushed it to Zoro.
"Just tell me if you like it or not!" Luffy said, his face red with embarrassment.
Zoro smiled and looked at it."Yeah, I do. Just looks a little goofy."
Luffy grinned and hit him playfully."Halloween is supposed to goofy, isn't it?"
They both smiled and looked at each other for a second. This time, Luffy felt it too. A weird feeling of security. He was wondering where this sense of safe-ness came to mind. Luffy talked hours with Zoro, just discussing things at school.
"Just a question. Is there anyone that makes fun of you at school?" Zoro asked.
Luffy nodded."Bellamy. He's full of 'em self. I just ignore him."
Zoro gave him a blank stare."You have to have somewhere to draw the line."
"Well, he hasn't hurt my friends. If he does anytime soon that's when I'll get involved." Luffy said, a little too serious for his own good.
Zoro looked at his phone and yawned."I better get going. It's almost curfew for me."
Luffy stood up with Zoro and gave him a tight hug. Zoro smiled and put his hand around Luffy's back for a second. Zoro let go and waved goodbye to Sabo and Ace. They waved back until the door shut. Ace grunted and changed the tv's input.
"I hope you don't like the guy." Ace said.
Sabo dishearteningly turned his head to the tv. Luffy looked confused at what Ace was implying.
"What do you mean? He's a good friend!" Luffy said, surprised.
"No, I don't mean it in that way. I mean in a romantic way."
"Oh," Luffy said, shortly and abruptly.
Ace waited for a longer response."What does that mean?"
"I might have felt like that, is all," Luffy said, smiling.
Ace scrambled for words until all he could say was."You've only known him for a month and you think you have feelings for him?"
Sabo decided to get involved and responded to Luffy."That's good, Luffy. You just have to wait and see if you'll still have those feelings, right?"
Luffy nodded and stared at the door for a moment. Ace nagged at Sabo for saying that and shook him around like a fish.
"Hey guys, I'm gonna go to bed now," Luffy said.
Ace raised an eyebrow."Now? But it's 9:00 on a Saturday."
"I'm gonna wake up early to hang out with Usopp and Nami, remember?" Luffy said, racing up the stairs.
Sabo tried not to laugh and in result Ace held his anger in and sighed, his eyebrows arched low. Sabo commented on how Luffy could invite more friends. Ace elbowed him and started to laugh as well, giving in to the idea Sabo described.

Irreplaceable Part 15: I miss spending Christmas with you
Wattpad   AO3
- "How do you think we should spend our Christmas now that were married?" - "Does it need to change somehow?"
He looked slight bit thoughtful as he laid on the sofa his hands behind his head and one leg over the other waving in the air. Until now both of them had spend their Christmases separate. Now it felt odd to do so. Or for him at least. He wanted to start making his own family traditions without forgetting the old ones.
- "I know it's always a bit of a rush at Morias." He paused. "Ah never mind." - "What?" - "You know I want to spend Christmas with father so he wouldn't be lonely even if this one guy comes to visit now and then. But maybe there's enough space for two," he chuckled and corrected himself, "Three more people." - "You, your father and...?" She didn't quite get it. - "Ah well, you know." He blushed slightly and turned to his side facing the back of the sofa.
And it hit her. She snorted. How blissful those moments were when he kept pause from reminding her.
- "I don't want a kid yet." - "I know, but one day." - "Might take long." - "I'll be patient."
And she snorted again.
----
- "Yeah, we really wished you could come. You know with Zoro and all that's... Oh you can't? Do you- It's important. I understand. Maybe next year? Yeah. I love you too." - "So he won't come?" Perona asked from the sofa as she was hushing their baby, who was having a tummy-ache. - "Yeah, but there's always next year." He smiled and she sighed. - "You said that last year." - "But next year for sure." - "Have you considered that he might not want to?"
He looked at her betrayed. Of course his father wanted to. He just wasn't able to.
- "Sorry. Next year for sure. Whole family." She looked down at the baby still whining his sickness. - "Next year." He nodded determined.
----
When Perona had made Mihawk stop by the super-market and they had stuffed his car with toys, necessities and food, he couldn't understand why. She had told him there would be others, but surely not that many. But when they were there, he understood. There was a huge hustle. People went and came. Some stayed long and some only an hour. Some brought groceries with them and some were given. There were young people, old people, rich people, poor people. All sorts of people with different backgrounds, but they all shared one thing in common:
A huge gratitude towards Gekko Moria.
Perona told Mihawk that in the town they lived in there had been a factory and Morias family had been part of the owners. Nearly all of the townsfolk worked in the factory or they depended on it indirectly. But when the economy went down, the factory was closed. Moria had been well off and he could have lived with relative ease for the rest of his days, but he couldn't forget the townsfolk who had lost their main source of livelihood. So he started to work for the good of the people. He felt it was so rewarding, that he studied as a social worker. Many of the people would have gone under if not for his help. When asked if her parents had worked in the factory Perona had changed the subject quickly. She didn't like to speak of her biological family.
In the end Morias savings had been used leaving him and Perona scraping by. But he still kept helping others and those who now had it well for them helped him with donations so he wouldn't have to use his meager salary on that.
Perhaps because of his background Moria had disliked Mihawk, a person with all that money that comes from exploitation or so he said of every lawyer. And Moria had secretly been jealous to Mihawk for having the luxury of witnessing the first years of his sons life, something he did not get to do with Perona. But now-a-days with Zoro around he had got to enjoy being a grandfather and gotten to know Mihawk. He even liked him now.
- "It'll be lonely here without him, but at least we have Mihawk in our family now." Moria had said joyfully when he welcomed them to his house.
The worn out house was now packed with groceries and items of all sort most of which would be gone by Christmas Eve. During Christmas Day it would be a lot less hectic because most of the people would be home with their families. But some stayed because Moria was considered part of their family.
They had one small room reserved just for them. It was not where they usually stayed but everywhere else was packed full or reserved to other. The three of them barely fit there together and Mihawk could just barely fit Zoros new crib inside. He could see now Morias reluctance to get one for Zoro. He was anxious having to share the same house with so many people he didn't know, but Perona seemed excited. Going around doing things and talking to the people she had learned through the years helped her deal with the crushing loneliness her late husband had left her with. There were some who gave her their condolences and she was dealing with them amazing. But mostly being busy kept her from thinking about the past.
Mihawk did not have such luck. He could not find the solace with taking care of Zoro because Moria nearly never let him out of his arms or it was Perona holding him calming him down when the amount of people became unbearable. He offered to help just to be denied outright since he was a guest and there was too many people already doing their part. Mihawk started having small panic attacks in the crammed spaces packed with strangers and items. Soon he spend most of his time wondering the surrounding woods and fields. But he couldn't be out all day because it was so cold and his thoughts went to the Christmas days he had spent with his son.
----
- "When can we eat the gingerbread house?" He looked at the tiny little house they had built together. It was covered with his favourite candies and had a small ginger bread snowman outside. - "Not before the Epiphany." Mihawk stated as he was cleaning the sticky sugary mess they had made of the table. - "When's that?" - "January 6th." - "That's going to take ages!" - "You'll get plenty of gingerbread during holidays." - "I wanna eat it now!"
Mihawk chuckled at the boys eagerness.
- "Don't laugh at me, father!" - "I cannot help it. You're adorable." - "I'm not! Shut up." The boy blushed and rushed off.
----
Small boy rushed onto his fathers lap and gave him a huge hug.
- "You think Mother will come this year?" His voice a sad whisper. - "I don't think so." The boy looked miserable hearing the answer he had feared. Mihawk sighed. - "Have you finished your homework?" A small nod. - "Do you want to go Christmas shopping then? I wasn't supposed to tell you, but your mother sent you a gift. Want to go get her one?" - "Yeah!" The boys face lit up. "I'll make a card for her too."
Mihawk smiled gently, but inside he was miserable. This was not what he had wanted for him.
----
- "Look, look! A battle robot! Mother got me a battle robot." - "That's amazing. You've wanted one for a long time." - "Mmm." He tried different buttons and the robot made noises and flashed lights. "So cool." - "Did grandmother send you something?" - "This sweater and socks. Are we gonna go meet her?"
Hancocks parents wanted to be part of their grandchild's life, but they lived in another country. So any visits were rare. During Christmas it was impossible because Hancock had denied any visits because she would be there. But Mihawk had already booked tickets for winter break though he had not told his son yet.
- "I think we should. Want to call her?" - "Yes, please."
----
- "I think I want to start spending Christmas with Perona"
It was only natural since they were married, but still he felt hurt.
- "This year?" - "Yes... but I want you there too."
His son did sound sincere, but Mihawk felt he'd still bother them. So he lied.
- "I'm on a business trip then." - "Really? Wow when did you get to know?" - "It's really a last minute thing. I thought you'd want to spend your time with her and they needed someone to go on such short notice." - "That sucks. Were going to spend the Christmas at Peronas fathers place. It would have been a real family Christmas. I've heard there's a lot of people."
Mihawk felt a little bit relief not having to spend Christmas with strangers, but he felt bad for lying to his son. But most of all he dreaded he'd be a bother to all of them.
----
- "I really don't get it. You're fine with random social events and meetings as long as they're work related and suddenly you can't spend the Christmas with your son and his wife's family because you feel you would be a bother. I think they're more bothered with you not going." Shanks looked at him raising his brow and slightly squinting his eyes in disapproval. - "No one asked your opinion." Mihawk took a sip of his wine. They were at Makino's for their usual meet up before Christmas. - "Then why are you here with me Hawky? Ugh. I've got my own family to go to..." He rubbed his temples before his face cleared up. "Hey come with me. Mom would be happy to see you." - "Aren't I a bit old to come over?" - "What? You don't need to be a kid to visit your friends stupid. And Mom sometimes wonders how you're doing. Like she seriously gets really worried at times. It would be better than brooding at home. And they're not strangers so it's cool." - "Fine, since you insist."
Mihawk brooded but he felt slightly happier not to be by himself all Christmas. The last time he had been was years ago, when his father died.
----
Christmas Eve eventually came and that morning Mihawk couldn't get up. His body hurt, his head hurt, everything hurt. He was stressed out, but he didn't complain, just staid in bed a bit longer than usual. Perona came up to him holding a plate full of rice porridge with cinnamon and sugar on top.
- "I hope you get the almond. For luck." She had smiled slight bit sad. "I'm sorry you're not liking it here. Just a few more hours and most of the people should be gone."
Mihawk was silent and felt bad. Finally he forced himself up and and ate some of the porridge even if he wasn't that hungry. But it was good and warm and he got an almond. And a second. A third. He looked at Perona.
- "We actually put full package of almonds because the kids will be sad if they don't get one and this way everyone gets that extra bit of luck they need."
Mihawk appreciated the gesture. It was a beautiful idea, but he still felt miserable.
- "There's just so many people crowding this house. And the walks do not bring me much joy because it's been cold and I can't stop thinking about him."
It was hard for him to admit feeling so bad, but he needed some comfort and Perona would do her best to help. She thought for a moment and asked:
- "Do you need pain killers?"
He nodded and a moment later she came back with a couple of pills and a warm glass of glogg. He was feeling slightly better and dressed up ready to face another stressful day. She was waiting outside the room with Zoro dressed up in his new fluffy winter gear.
- "Moria can handle things here by himself for a couple of hours. Lets go on a walk together. Just us three. I'll show you around. I haven't done that yet have I?" - "We haven't spend a lot of time here. That one time we were longer, we worried over Zoro." - "Then it's high time don't you think?" - "And Moria really won't mind you going?" - "He's used to me running away at the most inconvenient times. I actually did this same thing with your son. The way we have Christmas can be really stressful when you're not used to it."
So while Moria was preoccupied the three snuck outside. They put Zoro in his stroller and when they had walked more into town, where there was pedestrian walks, they let him walk with them. They weren't in a rush and he would get anxious spending long times on the stroller.
- "Sometimes I wish he wasn't this active." Perona laughed, but there was sadness in her voice.
Mihawk pat her shoulder as a sign of compassion. Time was supposed to move and children to grow. No matter who got left behind.
- "Birbie." Zoro pointed at a crow sitting on a fence.
There was something macabre about the town. Many houses were abandoned and signs invited you into an empty shop. Everywhere they went they could see the factory pipes looming in the distance, a constant reminder of what had been.
- "The amount of people visiting us grows smaller each year. We do get new visitors sometimes, but mostly people just want to get away from this place. I feel bad for saying this, but I kind of like the atmosphere of a dying town." She chuckled lightly.
They walked a little bit towards the center of the town. Perona pointed to an old building done in the sixties. One could see decorations in the windows. - "That's the school I went to. It has elementary and upper-school together. After that you had to move out to continue studying."
She pointed to another building with windows covered with cardboard and a "for rent" -sign. - "I went to ballee there."
They were back on the road to Moria. Zoro had worn himself out and was napping in the stroller. There had been a place Perona had not mentioned in her tour and he was curious.
- "Is the house of your parents somewhere out of town like Morias?" - "It got burnt down. I don't really like to talk about them." She had a plank look on her face.
Mihawk understood. They were similar in that way, neither of them liked to talk about their parents though her reasons were different from his.
- "Moria is my one and only true dad." She huffed. - "I've heard you call him Dad just once." - "Calling him first name just kinda stuck. He was the social worker in charge of me. He was moving me from foster parent to the next. I always ran away or they just didn't like me." - "Didn't you start being fostered by Moria when you were four?" He found it hard to believe someone younger would be able to run away. - "I entered the system at four, but I kept running to Moria all the time. He had no choice but to take me under. Even then they would have rather have me go somewhere else. But I chose Moria."
She looked smug. She was the winner in a hard situation. The one who came top.
- "The last one was when I was nearly six. They moved me to another town completely, but I had learnt to read. So I stole some money, packed my bag and took the buss back here. The driver almost called the cops on me, but I was able to fool him in the end. You couldn't believe the look on Morias face when he saw me on the door steps." - "Didn't he ever get angry?" - "Not really. He lectured me on the dangers of going by myself and then called the fosters." - "Why did you keep returning?" - "Because Moria was the first person I could remember. And I spent all the waiting time between fosters with him. It was so nice to be there." - "First person?" Odd, shouldn't it had been her parents? - "Or actually an onion. The time in the 'Room of tubes' is a bit fussy." - "Room of tubes?" He was curious. - "Oh, I'm rambling. Forget it. It's not important."
He felt that it was and wanted to know more, but they were back at Morias. He was waiting for them and looked angry. He glared at Perona and she looked extremely uncomfortable.
- "I turn my back and you sneak off! On Christmas Eve!" - "Aah well, Mihawk." - "You're the one in blame here young lady. I need your help in the kitchen and you still decide it's better to sneak off than actually tell me you're going for a walk." - "Horo horo horo." Her laughter was nervous, but Mihawks face had lit up. - "Can I help?" - "Eh? But you're a guest." - "Let him. He needs to do something. All the huzzle is dissorienting when you don't have anything to do." - "Alright, but you're still in trouble, young lady!"
When going inside Mihawk could see that same smug look Perona had earlier. She had known this was going to happen. She was the one who had won. And he was grateful to her.

Lydia Rae Mihawk
Lydia Rae Mihawk  flashback leading to present Drabble Oc fanfic part 2 of this OC series Disclaimer I do not own One Piece or its respectful characters. Lydia smiled as she roamed her father's castle. Zoro was due to leave any day now to meet up with his crew. He had grown so much stronger, an had matured alittle more. Mihawk had trained them both Zoro more so than her. She understood, after all she didn't have the same drive as Zoro did when it came to swords. She definitely preferred her whip and dual cross pistols.  His crew, his dream, promise to a friend making him much more commendable. She had grown to respect him as a swordsmen and a man. While she was on the island she had grown closer to her father and also to the moss-haired swordsmen with no since of direction. She didn't think she could grow to admire both men in different ways so much. Well lets face it she never expected to meet and successfully talk to her father.  An as she wandered she thought back to her first meeting  with Zoro and the strawhats what a rocky one that was. She had been leaving a bar after grabbing some food and information from the locals. Immediately after she left the bar she heard people shouting and some bulk man practically ran her over. She moved out of the way annoyed, when she heard a tiny teary feminine voice yell "Someone stop him, he stole all my purse." Without thinking Lydia was already running after the man. Her eyes narrowed, as he tried to slip through the crowed. she unfurled her whip at her side and used it to scale the next building eyes never leaving the man she was pursing. He had no idea she was on to him. Perfect. She smirked. He was in the clear, so he thought. He had just escaped the mass confusion and crowd created with his latest victims scream had caused. He was smiling it happened all the time, he'd pick a small defenseless lady. As the shock would wear off if his victim noticed the shock of her yell would cause enough chaos for him to get away. Today would be no different it seemed.  Just as that thought left his head. "Hey scumbag wipe that nasty grin off your face you haven't gotten away with anything yet." an angry voice yelled from above but it sounded closer. That was he last thought before he was sent rolling to the ground. Lydia had dove off the roof knocked the man down but was back up on her feet.  The look on the mans face was priceless. But she had gained the attention of a few onlookers. "You really shouldn't make a habit of targeting women for your crimes not all of us will let you off so easy."  The man was staggering up to his feet angry. "Let me off easy ha don't make me laugh, an what business is it of yours I didn't steal from you wench. What are you a hero or something?" He sneered. "You sure don't look like a marine off duty."  Her golden eyes narrowed even more today was a really bad day. and she didn't feel like she needed to hear any badmouthing from anyone else much less a theif. "No mister lucky for you I'm not a marine. Nor can I be involved with them or anyone of the law myself. But thats also really bad for you cause that means I do things my own way. An I just felt like helping out after you rudely bumped into me trying to get away. So if you don't mind lets go hand back what you stole. I don't really feel like fighting you."  The man had doubled over in laughter. Thats it she thought.  Quick as a snap her whip was out made the man drop the purse he was holding to the ground she snapped it again it was around the mans neck as she yanked him in her direction, it going lax as she delivered a quick blow to his face to KO him. She quickly walked over and dusted the purse off. Just then the owner of the voice she heard cry out earlier had made her way over to her. "Thanks a bunch miss. I had more important things than just money in there." She had puffy eyes from crying but smiled politely. Handing it over. "Everything in there?," waiting for the girl to finish checking. "Thats good, be more careful with your belongs and of your surroundings. Sometimes not even being out in a public or crowded area is safe." With that she began to walk off. "Miss wait isn't there something I could do to repay your kindness?"  Turning to cast one glance over her shoulder Lydia restrained herself for asking for any compensation. She had treasure on the ship when it came to her. "Yeah just when the guys come to arrest him don't even mention me , you'll be saving me some trouble ." An with that she left the woman behind with a puzzled expression. Sighing she thought great hot-head if she puts two and two together an decides to report you your gonna have to make another break for it. She wasn't really paying attention when a weapons shop caught her eye. Just like the bartender had said. Just as she was about to enter someone opened the door an nearly slammed it in her face. Snapping "Hey dumbass don't throw open doors like that you could've hit me." She fumed into a person chest, looking up she discovered  the owner to be a smug looking green haired man. "Don't stand in front of doors and you won't get hit."   Narrowing her eyes, noticing the swords at his sides. This man had just got smart with her, while she was used to men being afraid of her, only drunks being flirty, merchants and people she helped being somewhat friendly. She was only used to her opponents and enemies acing like that. The fact he had carried swords made her want to punch him into next week. He stared her in the eyes not budging .  " I wasn't just standing here in the way, like you are, I was actually coming in here to buy something." At that statement his eyes widen as he seemed to take in her appearance and weapons at her sides. "You a bounty hunter or something he offered weakly?" Smirking as he stepped aside. "No, not that its any of your business swordsman, I'm a pirate." An with that she passed him not noticing he had stepped back in the shop to follow her. She gazed around quickly glancing at the swords, concluding none of them worth anything. She returned her gaze to the other weapons she grabbed a few boxes of ammo and just for the heck of it she picked up a nice dagger that caught her eye. Paying the clerk and exiting the store. She continued on her way noticing irritably the man was still following her. "What? Why are you still following me?" She asked turning her gaze to him. "You a bounty hunter then?  this pirate catch your attention she mocked."Eyes widening at her not knowing who he was he snorted "Don't flatter yourself, I technically got lost and found the shop when looking for the rest of my crew.  I figured since you have the log pose on your wrist that you'd know where your going and could point me in the direct or if I'd follow you around long enough I'd run into someone I know."  He was about to brag about who he was , and suggest if she got smart he might turn her in for some cash since he was broke. When she commented. "So your directionally challenged then. So sad for your crew they must have a terrible time keeping track of you." She noted even though he said he'd follow her he'd veered off from her. Grabbing his arm, sighing "I'll take to you to a place where you can get some food and thats not far away from shops and the docks. It'll be less likely for you to get lost. that way."  She led him by the arm, it was strange he was fairly attract but he was already causing her problems. He was grumbling the whole way there with a blush on his face, however he did not offering to pull away from her. Clicking her tongue she turned her gaze to his face " To prideful to accept help one time? I have no doubt you can break free of my grip if you wished to do so. If your not going to do that don't make this anymore difficult for me than it already is." After her quick quip she was dragging him along but this time in silence before she heard a quite. "You didn't have to help me, not like I directly asked you , besides we very well could be enemies. " That paused her movements. "Am I your enemy?" She asked quietly. He had went silent again trying to figure this woman out. But he wasn't really good at that. Zoro knew he was only good at a few things and stuck to that. Noticing her lips turn up into a smile he thoughts seem to stop as she began to speak. "Doesn't really matter. I still wanna help, besides its not like its known if we are, not now anyway. Beside already halfway there and I don't want you getting you turned around again. His eyes softened at her tone before she decided to make a jab at him again. They were walking again. The hell was she doing to him. They made it to her destination and seated themselves at a table where they order drinks. They were actually starting to get along and make conversation. Despite him typically being quiet Zoro found himself intrigued by the woman infront of him. Her golden eyes were unique. Oddly familiar but he was sure he'd never seen her before. He stated after awhile had passed what her crew would think about her being gone. When a bitter smile crossed her face, don't have one. He nearly spit out his drink. "Your a pirate and you don't have a crew?" He thought her of her as someone more planned out than Luffy. "No I prefer to work alone for now. While I do have a bounty my goals for now do not require me to have one." "So what your bounty?" She asked, she had a feeling she knew who he was, after all he carried three swords, and his aura said it all. He looked at her debating on if he should tell her, he looked so puzzled she leaned over. "I haven't read the poster in awhile want to know how much more I have until I catch up with yours Zoro." She whispered his name so quietly he almost didn't catch it. His eyes met hers and her small smile. "Kinda hard to miss who you are if you know anything about pirates or bounty hunters." He took on a smirk and he chuckled. Causing her to raise her eyebrow. "So when you asked that question about the bounty earlier and all those snide remarks you knew who I was."  Smirking she replied. "Yeah I had an idea of who you were, after I through a couple insult your way. I don't typically back down from challenges especially when I have a bad day." She mused wasn't so bad after all she'd met a man who she secretly admired his skills for awhile. Bringing her out of her thoughts "So those the only weapons you use?" Smiling she stood placing her money on the table enough for her and his drinks. "Can't give away all of my secrets. Although I think I could spill one more to you" Winking at him she leaned down to whisper in his ear.  "Lydia Rae Morgan, hope to see you again one day Zoro." An with that  she was off. Finishing off his ale Zoro went to find his crew. No he hoped she wouldn't be his enemy in the future. When he arrived back everyone was in an uproar about where he'd been. Nami had hit him and called him an idoit for getting lost and deemed him hopeless to go out on his own. Zoros mind was on the woman he had met. Shaking his head he went to lift his weights before the love cook announced dinner.-------------------------------That had been their first meeting, they met again a few months later and thats when she'd met the strawhats crew. That was a pretty interesting encounter as well. There had been a ruckus in town earlier that had exposed her. Ever since her bounty had sky rocketed she had been getting more and more grief. She took on any challenges and defeated many vast enemies, only ever picking up her swords when she was desperate. She had met them while escaping the marines and ran smack dab into the swordsman and his crew. Groaning she untangled her limbs apologizing, about to pick herself up from the ground having indeed run into Zoro. He looked annoyed before recognition passed. "Lydia?" When she too realized who she tripped into. "The one and only Zoro." She seemed to beam at him. It had been awhile since they last met. She was so happy she got to see him again. Her smile faded as she thought that it could easily be the last time she saw him. She began to stand up him following suit, she took a minute to take in the crew she had heard about as they asked her questions, she answered a few before suggesting that all of them get out of the open before getting caught. The crew invited her aboard where they talked, and in the captain on words had a party to celebrate finding a friend. Luffy himself asked her a few questions the final one being would you join our crew to which everyone waited for answer. She had to think of it tactfully, she actually thought about it seriously but made her decision before she could change her mind. "I'm not telling you no, but I can't join right now I have somethings I need to take care of first. After its finished and if we meet again an if you and the rest of the crew is still willing to have me then I'll join everyone. How's that sound?" "Its a deal but keep your end of the promise alright." He stated very sagely. She smiled at him and nodded. If she had a sibling she very much would've liked to have a little brother like Luffy. They offered her a place for the night seeing it would be a few days before the log pose set. She had accepted it had been a fun couple of days. It was quiet, on the last day she'd spend there. Everyone was asleep she was on deck gazing out at the sea. Thinking she had met some pretty amazing people. Dare she say friends. Something Lydia had always wanted but never really had. To think she might have that made her happy. She tried to tell herself not to get so excited because what she was going to do next wasn't going to be easy. She didn't even know if she'd live through it. A few tears escaped her eyes. Thats when she heard footsteps. Quickly wiping her face drawing a couple deep breath to calm herself. "Couldn't sleep?" a deep voice rumbled. Zoro. "Could ask you the same thing." He leaned against the railing. "Nah sleep enough during the day, plus I keep watch at night." He had shared something. Ah what the hell "I don't sleep well to begin with. But I just got alot on my mind." He raised an eyebrow to her but didn't inquire anymore. Another thing she found herself liking about the man beside her. He was concerned in his own way but wouldn't push to get answer, she felt if it was serious however he might be more demanding about answer but left it alone. She was grateful. Finally she sighed. "I'd like to become apart of this crew if I complete my goal." He was about to ask why not now when he saw a tear roll down her face. "It's not something I want anyone to witness or be around for incase it doesn't happen. " He had a nagging  and panicky feeling when he saw her the tear. "You can still join even if you don't accomplish it. " He stated thinking about how he lost to Mihawk and how he was going to try again someday. "If I live through it I will." She mumbled it, but he still heard her. His eyes widen,  she hadn't thought she had said it but looking at his face confirmed I with. It was really great seeing you again Zoro. Give the crew my regards I'll see you again someday." She was about to dart off the ship. When his hand shot out and grabbed her shoulder. It puller her into a tight hug, something she hadn't experienced in years. He wasn't sure if it was okay. He didn't give many hugs or words of comfort. He was acting on instict at the moment. "Thats a promise right? That you'll see me again. And join the crew." He added as an after thought. His arms tightened when she didn't say anything. "Yeah Zoro, I will." She hugged him back. His arm loosened a little but he didn't let go yet.  She honestly could say she didn't want him to at least not yet. Her tears hit his shirt, her emotions were going crazy it had been a long time since she cried. She had been alone for so long  had kept to herself. The feelings were overwhelming. While she contained her sobs her body was shaking. Zoro pulled back to look at her.He could protect her from anything but herself he mused. She looked as lost as he was, he saw tons of emotions pass in her eyes. She just closed them and tried to get a hold of herself. As soon as she calmed she went lax in his arms, that was new. "Lydia when you come back you'll tell me more about you right. What you went to do, and about your past?" he felt her tense again. He was about to retract the last statement when she responded. "Of course. Will you tell me about you?" Smiling he mumbled "Sure." he hadn't let go of her yet, didn't want her running off just yet. She was pretty exhausted and stressed, listening to his heart beat was alittle calming before she knew it her heavy eyes closed. Zoro noticed she had gotten heavier like she'd let go of all her weight, when he gazed down he noticed she fell asleep  in his arms. Smiling he decided he might as well get comfortable. Remembering how she seemed hard to trust people at first and yet she had easily trusted him. He carried her over to one fo the girls laid back chairs and sat down in her line of sight so she wouldn't freak out if she woke up. "Nicely done swordsman-san." His eyes shot up to Robin.  "Both your secrets safe with me." she said mysteriously has one of her many hands dropped two blankets to him. (Robin knows all right.) He placed it over her and watching her caused him to drift into slumber himself. He was woken up later than usual, alarmed he fell asleep to begin with. Alittle distraught he thought is was all a dream. He didn't dare ask anyone about you. he was going to go sulk in his weight room when he heard. "Zoro." It was Robin she handed him a letter with your name on it and walked away. She paused. "She said she'd see us all again, and she'd join the crew then. However she might have a sixth sense she knew to hand the letter to me when she bid us a farewell. " With that robin took her place beside Nami who also witnessed Lydia hand Robin the letter for Zoro with no questions asked. "She handed me some Beli and promised to share her treasure with us." Robin smiled, that girl is good, she thought. She seemed to quickly fit in with everyone. In the short days they all spent with her. She played games with Ussop, Chopper, and Luffy.  Answer questions, proved to be skilled in many areas, hold conversations with everyone in the crew. An while she seemed to have some issues, was independent enough to wanna handle it on her own as well as much more. Robin and the rest hoped Lydia would return to the crew soon. Everyone already was more than ready for a new friend to join them.  However things escalated and the crew was separated. And then Marineford had happened. Lydia at that time had already completed two goals and she was patiently waiting to complete her third. She had tracked down her father Mihawk now. That brought them to where she was now. Just then she heard footsteps approaching. Her reminiscing put on hold, when Zoro seated  himself next to her. "Lost again?" She wanted to teased but her smirk turned into a smile. "No, I'm not for once I'm not lost. I had alittle trouble but Perona helped me find where you were at. I've been busy training but I do think you have more than one promise to keep."  Hey eyes had softened when he had unknowingly made her heart pick up speed. Only to realized he was probably the least romantic person ever but she could live with that. "Your right I do. Guess I'll go back with you then if you and your crew will have me?"  He looked over at her. "I'm sure the offer still stands. I have no complaints, I even have a sparring partner now I know one of your secrets. By the way what were you doing up here anyway?"  Lydia met his gaze,  "Being honest I was thinking about everything. But mainly you," She stammered with a blush. " I mean how we first met and the crew I mean." The smile that lit his face at her answer cause her blush and her heart rate to quicken. "Well at least I've already kept two of my promises to you Zoro. I did see you again, I'm joining the crew. Guess its only natural I keep the last one."--Zoro had listen to her childhood, asked a few questions. An he even told Lydia of his. "You know after I defeat your dad and take the title of the worlds greatest swordsman, we help Luffy and everyone complete their dreams. I think I want a family." Her eyes shot to him. Its something she didn't expect. His eyes had a glint to them. An while she was good at reading people some to her were just unpredictable.  "Although thats far into the future and I don't think that far ahead. Just typically a live for the moment kind of person. Wanna go on a date see what that kinda future holds?" Her eyes  widen and her face flushed, did he just. She felt an array of things. She didn't know how to respond to him. He looked away you don't have to answer now. Just thought I'd put it out there. He sounded almost disappointed. She hadn't rejected him , just didn't know how to answer. But she stood up walked over to him. His eyes went directly to her as she walked over. Her face was flushed and she cautiously wrapped her arms around him. "Zoro" She answered unsure. "I'm lost when it comes to things like this, I've missed out on alot of things. But I care about you alot. An its different than what I feel for my friends. Its alittle scary but I wanna try it. Be patient with me." She was starting to shake when he wrapped his arm around her. "So this you agreeing to be my woman?" Her blush darkened an she nodded her head. Zoro was the only person to make her feel this shy on top of other emotions. She took the liberty to move her head off of his chest an leaned up to kiss him on the cheek. Pleased with the blush on his face, took the opportunity to dash out of the hug. While in shock he came back to reality. "Hey Lydia you didn't answer my question" he shouted down the hall. Giggling was all he hard before she said. "If you can find and catch me Zoro I'll give you my answer." she shouted back. "If you can't, I'll give you a another chance to with a duel. Either way thats the only way you'll get your answer."  He took off after in the  sound of her voice. Hell he'd find her before dinner, no way he was gonna wait to duel her. She had stopped giggling an was sure she had gave them the slip when she saw her father. She made her way over to him. " Dad." She tired the word out on her tongue. He seemed pleased to hear her use it. "I think I know what I wanna do now, I found great friends before coming here. I'd like to go help them on their journey. It's the first time I had any thing like this since my time with mom. I'm really glad I got to meet you. An even more so you accept me for who I am. Keep my room open so I can come back an visit?" He stood up. He'd heard her an Zoro long before the man had asked his daughter out. He heard about her past, and even about the man he was sure would take his title. He felt pride in both, an while he was knew and very late to his fathering instincts, he approved of her choices. He hugged her. He could tell she was trying not to cry. "Anytime." He assured. "I support you. An I'll give you a transponder snail so you can contact me anytime you need or want to." Her smile was so bright he couldn't help but return with one of his own. He then turned to go to his room before dinner. Before he was at of her sight "Its a shame I won't get to see you duel him again before you go." An he closed his door. What did he mean. Oh! He had he heard that. Shit she was about to take off in a sprint but to arms had already grabbed her "Oh no you don't I won, found you, caught you."  Then she had the odd sentiment that her dad approved. "Zoro" Drawing his attention to her. She quickly pressed her lips to his pulling back before he could respond. "Yes, I'd like that alot." So the next chapter will begin. You have found your father, you've found friends/and joined a crew, you even found a future love, more importantly you found a home and a place to belong.

Irreplaceable Part 11: The good doctor
Wattpad AO3
Time seemed to fly now that they had settled and had nothing to pressure them. Perona had bettered her relationships and had met up with her friends. She was surprised at what a good friend Chiffon had become to her. The power of motherhood was bringing them together. They had a play-date with Zoro and Pez which had been wonderful even if the kids had been more interested in their own things. Hancock had visited a couple of times and had even brought her step son, Ace, over. Ace was a year older than Zoro, but they still got well together, even if Ace would call Zoro stupid often.
Everyone were starting to talk more about her future plans. The topic of her late husband came up less and less and people seemed less pitying of her. She found herself often thinking what she wanted and were doing research on her computer from time-to-time. She wasn't exactly sure though. She didn't want to continue being a nurse and the plan of her being a stay-at-home-mom wasn't really an option anymore even if Mihawk wouldn't mind having them there for a long time. When she thought about it, it was clear that he too had changed during the past months. The wineglass had been replaced with a teacup, it was rare for her to see him drink alcohol anymore. And he was less gloomy and less restrained. He was more often smiling and seemed less uncomfortable if she touched him. In the evenings it had become a habit for them to talk for a while. The topics varied, but they did feel comfortable talking with each other on nearly every topic. It was both relaxing and made them closer as friends.
- "I've noticed there's less of your old things around."
Mihawk remarked while writing something on his laptop. They were in his study and Perona was laying on the chaise lounge covered with a thick blanket. It was true that she had gotten rid of a lot of things. Things that had seemed important to her at the time held less value to her now.
- "I feel bad admitting this, but I've been thinking about him less often now." She looked at the ceiling and fiddled with her thumbs. "Some of those things I wanted to keep from him, I don't want them anymore."
Mihawk turned to look at her thinking what to say. She couldn't bear his silence.
- "I'm sorry." She turned to face the back of the lounge. - "It's alright. I don't think of him daily anymore either." - "It just makes me so sad and angry at myself." Her voice got muffled a bit as she curled tighter against the lounge. - "Moving on is an inevitable part of life. Like how you keep going even if a grandparent dies." - "I've never had anyone die so all of this is new to me." - "Ah, I'm sorry. I didn't know."
Perona was four when she had been taken into the foster system. Moria did not have any living grand parents when he had adopted her, so of course she lacked the experience other kids would have. She hadn't even had any pets growing up.
- "I haven't told you, so how could you?" Perona turned back to face Mihawk. "Was it hard to have your parents die?" She flinched a bit. What a stupid thing to ask. - "No, I wasn't that close with them." Mihawk didn't seem bothered at all by her question. "My mother died when I was young and my father never got over it. He was reluctant to have a proper relationship with me and couldn't look me in the eyes, because they're the same as my mother's."
Perona had never seen anyone with eyes like his. They were sharp like that of a hawk and it felt like they changed from golden to red with the lighting.
- "I think your eyes are beautiful."
Mihawk looked at her surprised and turned back to his laptop. He rubbed his face lightly. Was he blushing?
- "Anyway he finally decided to take his own life. Didn't even get to see his grandson, old fool."
There was resentment in his voice and she could see how similar her situation was to Mihawks father's. When he had said that he had helped her only for Zoro, this must have been the reason behind it. He had wanted them to avoid the same end result.
- "It wasn't your fault." Mihawk laughed and remarked bitterly: - "You wouldn't believe how many times I've heard that."
She was going to continue, but then heard Zoros whimpering from the baby monitor. - "I'll go check him. I should probably go sleep anyway." Mihawk shrugged and started writing again. Perona pouted. He could be annoying at times.
Mihawk could hear her speak to Zoro through the monitor. She asked him what was wrong and Zoros whimpering got stronger. She soon shut the monitor.
----
Mihawk stretched and yawned. He hated having to work at home, but sometimes it couldn't be avoided. He went to the kitchen to get something to eat before going to sleep, but stopped when he heard Perona spacing in her room and Zoro still crying in agony. When he checked on them it was clear something was wrong. Perona was terrified and pale. She was trying to calm Zoro who cried weakly. He was awfully red.
- "What is going on?" He went to them worried. - "I- I- Zoro and I," Perona was panicking and couldn't form a coherent sentence between her sobs. - "Calm down. Tell me step-by-step." He took a firm hold of her shoulders forcing her to stop her spacing. She swallowed a little bit before breathing in. - "Fewer." It was the only thing she could mutter before starting to cry again.
- "Help him."
Mihawk tried Zoro's forehead. It was burning up.
- "Have you measured his fewer?" He asked Perona, but it was clear that she was in too much of a shock to be of help. - "I can't loose him too." She whimpered hugging Zoro slightly tighter. - "Sit down on the bed and don't hold him too tightly."
She obeyed him and Mihawk went and got the thermometer. He measured Zoro's fewer.
- "38,4. It's quite high," he thought to himself not wanting to worry Perona even more.
He started to check if Zoro was feeling any pain or if he had any other symptoms. But aside from the fewer he seemed to be fine. He wasn't in pain and had no sore spots or rash. Perona was still sobbing and shaking.
- "Can I have Zoro?"
Perona shook and didn't react to his question. So Mihawk repeated the question. She moved lightly releasing her grab to let him take him. He placed Zoro in the middle of the bed and took a couple pieces of his clothing off of him.
- "I'll go make formula for him. Let's keep him comfortable and see how he progresses."
Perona nodded and turned to comfort Zoro, who was still whimpering.
----
It was very late into the night when Zoro finally fell asleep. He whimpered in his sleep, but his fever had gone down slightly. Perona was laying next to him keeping watch.
- "He's going to be fine, sleep." Mihawk soothingly said to her from a chair. He was reading a book. - "I can't. If I don't look he'll die." - "He won't. Zoro is strong." He sat to the other side of the bed and kept reading his book. - "Sleep, I'll keep watch." - "I can't, I can't." Perona shook her head.
Mihawk sighed and started petting her head. She was tired and tried to stay awake, but finally fell asleep. Mihawk put a blanket over her before reading his book again. He was most definitely going to stay awake. The time moved slowly. Zoro woke up a couple of times, but each time Mihawk was able to keep him quiet enough not to wake Perona. He was dead tired when Perona started to whimper in her sleep. It was incomprehensible mumbling. Mihawk eased himself down into a laying position. He smoothed Peronas hair and spoke softly:
- "I'm here. I'll keep Zoro safe, so don't worry. I'll watch over you two."
She seemed to relax and smiled a little. Mihawk gave her hair a few more strokes before his fingers wandered over her cheek. Somehow she looked perfect.
Was she always this pretty?
He pulled his hand quickly away and rose from the bed. He didn't understand why, but he felt deeply ashamed of himself. He went to make himself some coffee. He must be extremely tired. He looked out of the window. The sun was starting to rise. He should call to work and inform them he would come late to work.
----
Perona lazily opened her eyes. Zoro was resting peacefully. His fewer was low. He wasn't better yet, but he wouldn't need to go to the hospital either. Mihawk was still on the bed reading his book. Perona smiled when she saw him. He really was a man of his word.
- "Morning."
Mihawk looked at her and nodded slightly. Perona kissed Zoro's forehead careful not to wake him.
- "My little fuss pie. You gave me a fright."
She rose from the bed and looked at Mihawk.
- "I had a dream about my husband." She smiled and picked a hair brush. "I was crying with Zoro in my arms. I was lost, scared and Zoro wasn't breathing. It was dark, but then I saw him. He was really bright and I couldn't clearly see his face. But he smiled and told me he would keep me and Zoro safe. He gave Zoro a small kiss and he was laughing again. It would be nice if he actually was our guardian angel."
Perona laughed and went away while brushing her hair. Mihawk paled. He understood why he had felt so ashamed. He had crossed that invisible line he had set for himself. He should be more careful in the future. It wasn't his role to keep the two safe forever. At best this situation was only temporary. She and Zoro shouldn't be living with him forever so it made sense not to get too attached. The idea of being by himself again didn't appeal to him, but it would be the best for the two.
Mihawk sighed and laid down setting his book aside. He almost fell asleep, but got startled by Zoro climbing on top of him. - "What are you doing?" Zoro just smiled and pressed his cheek against his chest closing his eyes. Mihawk bit his lip and put his forearm over his eyes.
He really didn't want to be lonely again.
----
Zoro's fewer died in a couple of days and he was back to being the cheerful noisy little kid that he was. While sick he had been a little bit clingy making Perona hold him and feed him. After it Perona was sad for being denied feeding him with the spoon once again. She liked it when Zoro wasn't as independent.
- "Why do you like to spoon his food so much? I find it more enjoyable to watch him have a good time." Mihawk blurted while watching her struggle again. Though as fun as their fight was to look, it also got extremely annoying after awhile. - "Because it's the only food related thing I've been able to do for him ever." She grunted mid her fight. Zoro was being extra stubborn. - "It's not. You're actually capable of cooking these days. You've improved quite a lot since you came here." He took a sip of coffee and wrinkled his nose at the bitter taste. - "Well I guess I just like it a lot." - "There will be a time when he'll ask you to spoon feed him again. And you'll answer him no." - "I guess so," she sighed resigned and let Zoro have to spoon. "But I'm going to say yes." - "Spoon!" - "Don't be too cocky, lil weasel." Perona snorted.
Zoro showed her tongue.
- "Look at that!" With both her hands stretched out, she was comically showing Zoro to Mihawk. "Where did he learn that?" - "You do it all the time." - "I do not!" She showed him her tongue and laughed grossly after.
----
- "Where are you going?" - "Out with the girls." Perona was doing her hair.
Mihawk frowned.
- "Yes, it's a club, but I will be with friends and this time I'm not drinking to forget. It's completely different and," she lifted her left hand flashing her wedding ring, "I'm not out there to hit on anyone either. It'll be fine."
He didn't really care if Perona wanted to find company or just get drunk. Only thing he wanted was for her to be safe.
- "What if something happens here?" - "I trust you to handle it and I will keep my phone on and check it regularly. I won't drink myself into a stupor." She rose and spun around. "How do I look?"
She was wearing a nice black dress with a flowy chiffon hem. It was showing her arms and long legs quite a bit. Her hair was on a loose side-bun with curls going down her shoulder. And in the longest time, she was wearing make-up. She had took great care in styling herself and Mihawk found it hard to believe she was just going to hang out with her friends. She was absolutely stunning.
- "Won't you get cold?" - "I'll wear a jacket over and these stockings are quite thick. And it'll get hot in the bar anyway." - "Call me if you need help or a ride." - "Stop fussing, it'll be fine."
She went over to Zoro who had been looking at her get ready from his grib. He got up exited. He too wanted to go where she was going. She gave him a hug, careful not to mess up her looks.
- "I'm sorry, but I guess you'll have to spend the night with Pappa." - "And it'll be much better than what Mommy is going to do anyways."
Perona showed him tongue and went to get her jacket. Mihawk followed.
- "Be careful... and have fun." - "Of course I will." She grinned and then poked his chest. "Try not to worry too much." - "I never worry." He chuckled.
She gave him a skeptical look.
A car drove to the yard. Her friends were there to collect her. She grabbed her bag and waved Mihawk a goodbye. He lazily waved back. He walked back to Zoro and picked him up.
- "So what'll it be little man? Snack, movie, playtime or a little bit of all?" He had a small smile.
Evening with just him and Zoro had to be amazing.
----
Peronas worries were soon washed away by the pure excitement and cheerfulness the taxi was filled with. There was Chiffon, Lola and Cindry all glammed up. They had been planning for this evening and were sure as hell going to enjoy it.
The club was loud and colorful. They had reserved an area for themselves and first they just had to go through the latest gossip. They got drinks of all kinds though Perona didn't forget to keep track on her drinking. It was the least she could do. Then an interesting band hit the stage and they all went dancing. Perona was having an extremely good time. Exhausted she went by the bar to get a drink for herself.
- "I knew that pink mane was familiar," a voice of a man said. - "There are a lot of people with pink hair in this club. Piss off." She didn't even bother to face him. She just wanted to finish her drink and go back to her friends. - "C'mon that's not the way to talk to an old friend," the voice was sarcastic.
Perona couldn't hold off any longer and spun around. She pressed her finger against the nose of the man.
- "Now listen there mister! I don't know who you are and-" Her eyes grew big and round and the man grinned devilishly.
----
- "I know you two met at the mixer, but it was a long time ago and you didn't really talk much. This is Trafalgar Law, my senior at the med school. He's about the same age as you." Her boyfriend was hanging by the shoulder of the thin and sickly looking man. This was the goth boy she had at first laid her eyes on.
- "Couple of years older actually." Law said with a mocking tone.
Perona looked at him with curiosity. It was her first time to get to talk with this guy. He still wore dark clothes and the amount of his tattoos had risen. He still looked extremely interesting to her. She secretly wished that her man would take some tips on how to dress up.
- "It's nice to meet you, I'm Perona." They shook hands and her boyfriend's face lit up. - "I'll go get some refreshments."
They both smiled at him, but when he was out of hearing range Law had a disgusting look on his face. - "So you're the skank. You know he doesn't talk about anything else, but you and it's driving me crazy." - "What?" - "You know the way you eyed me at that mixer. It was clear that you were actually after me. So let's get it over with. I'll give you a ride you won't forget and you can leave him alone." He smiled sweetly at her. - "Excuse me?" She couldn't believe what she was hearing. - "It's time to end this charade. Geez, no need to act coy." He smirked and winked at her. - "I don't want you! Sure I found you interesting at first, but our relationship isn't a sham to get in your pants." Perona was furious. What kind of a friend was he?
- "What's so special about him? He dresses up dull and is actually pretty boring to be around. From my point of view the only thing you two have in common is that you're both on the medical field." He leaned back into his seat and crossed his legs. "And if you're thinking he'll be a good surgeon and get you a lot of cash, then tough luck, 'cos he isn't."
- "Shut up!" She hissed at him. "Sure he might dress up dull and maybe to you we have nothing in common, but that's only skin deep. He's kind and funny and makes me feel good and alive and we have devotion and love. I don't care if he never becomes rich. I don't care if he decides to quit mid school and changes field. Only thing I care is that we make each other happy and that's enough!"
- "I think you're quite good enough." Law was smiling genuinely and nodded towards where her boyfriend stood mouth agape. His hands shook as he held three beers in them. He kept staring at her and Perona looked down at the floor with her face completely red.
- "Your friend is an asshole," she finally muttered and he nodded in agreement. Law had a shit eating grin on his face.
----
- "So you do remember me." Law took her hand and gave it a courteous kiss. Perona quickly pulled it away. - "It's been long. You sound as nasty as ever." - "Yeah, well you're still a skank." He waved his hand at the bartender. "Whiskey. Make it two." - "I'm not having it." She waved a hand at her own drink as an excuse. Something about Trafalgar Law screamed danger to her. - "Who said it was for you?" He acted surprised. - "Ugh."
Law laughed and moved a bit closer to her and drank one of his whiskeys. He was blocking her way out.
- "You know I never quite got over it." - "Over what?" - "You denying me straight up. There's this spice and strength in you that I like a lot." He let his hand travel over her shoulder down her arm. She wiped it off making sure he could see the wedding band on her finger. But he just laughed at her.
-"There you go again. You know people won't be able to understand you like I can." - "What do you mean?" She didn't actually want to know, but was playing along trying to find a way out. - "Growing up adopted. The feeling of loosing someone who meant everything to you too soon."
There was something weird in the way he talked. Like he actually did know how she felt, but was also lying to her. She felt uncomfortable, but didn't want to cause a scene. She didn't want to cause Mihawk more worry.
Law now pushed slightly against her wrapping his arm around her shoulder.
- "It still hurts doesn't it? Why else would you be wearing that ring." - "Of course it does you asshole." She hissed and pushed him off slightly. Why didn't anyone notice how uncomfortable she was?
- "What if I could lessen that pain?"
He placed a hand on her thigh. His hand was suggestive in it's movement and he found his way under her dress though the layer of chiffon was too long to be gone under without causing commotion. She wanted to scream, but felt petrified. Nothing like this had ever happened to her. It must be a dream. It couldn't be real. Maybe if she didn't move he'd loose interest and just go. But he kept on moving so she gathered her strength and squeezed her legs shut. Law chuckled at her futile effort.
- "Is this guy bothering you?" a tall bartender asked. He looked like a bull and was absolutely terrifying.
Law quickly pulled his hand away and grinned at the bartender. - "Were just old friends catching up. Perona I have to go now, but here's my number if you want to call." He placed a card in her hand. "We could 'talk' about your husband."
Law drank his other whiskey and quickly left the scene. Perona was shaking. She was so relieved that the bartender had noticed her.
- "Thank you." - "Did he do anything? Do you want me to call you a taxi or the cops. Is your husband here?" - "It's alright. My friends are here and are probably wondering where I am by now." Perona answered weakly and next to them was Chiffon with a worried look. - "You left ages ago and I thought you'd gotten into trouble." - "I'm alright. I just lost the track of time." - "Are you sure? You look pale. Maybe it's time to go home." - "Don't let me ruin your fun." Perona was slightly distressed. She didn't want to trouble people. - "Nonsense! I'm getting you home now. I wouldn't be able to enjoy myself if you didn't have a good time either. I'm sure Lola and Cindry think so too."
----
They all decided that it was best to end the night already. They got Perona safely to a taxi and made sure she got all the way home. They asked several times if she was okay. Perona answered yes every time, but kept clenching the piece of card in her hand. Law was dangerous and she had been lucky that night. Finally she was at home and she gave Chiffon a huge hug before going back inside. She took a deep sigh and carefully removed her jacket and put the card into her purse. She didn't know why she didn't just toss it. It was weird.
Mihawk was sitting on the sofa with Zoro on his lap. They were watching Snow White. She quietly sat next to them and Mihawk looked at her with a slight smile. He was happy that she was back already.
- "You're back early," his voice was quiet. He didn't want to bother Zoros watching experience. Zoro held onto a teddy bear and was captivated by the film.
- "I'm not the party girl I used to be... Can I snuggle next to you?" She looked at him. Mihawk was warm and safe. Right now he was exactly what she needed.
Mihawk gave her a studying look. Something was off. She usually didn't ask for permission, just did as she pleased. But she didn't look like she wanted to talk either. So he took a hold of Zoro and leaned a bit on the side to be in a more of a laying position. Then he lifted his arm as a gesture to come closer. Perona had a wide smile when she cuddled next to him.She got as close as she could and wrapped her arms around him and Zoro. Zoro had dropped his bear and was now holding on both Peronas and Mihawks hands. Mihawk let his arm fall over Perona and gave her a reassuring squeeze.
Finally she felt safe and warm and was flooded with the feeling of relieve. She started weeping and buried her face against his chest. Mihawk readjusted his arm to let her get closer and to be able to pet her hair. The position felt uncomfortable, but he didn't care.
- "Did something happen?" He whispered with the softest tone he was capable of. Perona shook her head.
- "I'm just happy to be home."
