A Different Perspective on the Levan -> Crowley theories, who to trust and a way of tying it to the themes of the story

Preface: This isn't really gonna be a super serious compilation of solid proof, symbolism or anything, more like just me yapping abt something I happened to randomly think of yesterday and thought "it would actually be kinda interesting from a writing standpoint if this is the thing they go for instead of what everyone was expecting". Kind of long but I promise it will be at least interesting AU material if anything so just bear with me lmao

Ok so basically so far the general trajectory of theories is something bad happened to Levan while he was missing that made him into Crowley who is doing some kind of evil scheming that will disregard the safety of his family and students sooner or later. Generally Levan is the good self while Crowley is the fucked up self, and it would probably be better if Levan was here instead of him

But what if it's actually more like the other way around. That Levan is the one we should be looking out for, and Crowley is the trustworthy version of him this entire time?

What if everything Levan went through made it inevitable for him to snap and be vengeful and do evil shit so Crowley is basically his sane self's last ditch effort to make sure he doesn't hurt anyone and ruin people's lives, basically using the goofy Crowley personality to suppress and forget the vengeful Levan personality

Like the "Levan's soul got fractured and split into pieces and the pieces that remember his past are sealed away" theories, but instead of usual reasons it's him who sealed them away ironically to remain as true to his original self as possible, than if it remained and he turned into someone violent and hateful against his own principles.

I feel like it would be even more of a twist since they keep emphasizing how kind and peaceful Levan is so I don't think neither Meleanor, Lilia nor the audience would expect the OG Levan described that way to actually turn out cruel and untrustworthy who the seemingly suspicious and cowardly Crowley was actually trying to manage the whole time

Also it would kind of be more straightforward as to why he would choose to forget Lilia and Malleus than if Crowley was fucked up Levan and forgot them even though his goal would be to revive Meleanor and his old life with them anyway

It's hard to tell right now but Crowley despite his goofiness doesn't really seem to harbor any malice against anyone, nor would he be the type to seriously blood sacrifice any of his students, even if he does abandon them sometimes. In this new context maybe it would even make sense if he abandons them so the subconcious Levan doesn't try to find opportunity to break out/cause trouble through blot and magic related situations?

So yeah it would be cool if it turned out Crowley was the "good" version of Levan all along, and Levan overtly and subtextually is just trying to gaslight the audience into distrusting Crowley so they can set a chain reaction of events going to unseal him so he can do whatever he wants to

Also Crowley probably knows he has to keep Levan locked away no matter what but also doesn't dare try to remember what Levan remembers because that would go against the whole point of keeping Levan locked away in the first place. His memory of his past is just puzzle pieces w/o the bigger picture. He has to be atleast partially aware that he has to not give in to the voice in the back of his mind for the sake of others

Like he knows he had to leave behind a family behind and forget them so he would not hurt them, but he doesn't exactly remember who anymore which is why he isn't really flinching or anything when around Malleus and Lilia at NRC

Though I feel like him suppressing Levan lowkey also took a toll on his mental state. So they actual conclusion would for him to basically symbolically stop suppressing his trauma in an attempt to be a perfect victim because it's not working either way and the only way for Levan to rest in peace is if he finds closure. Whatever that may be.

Maybe if Yuu and co. find out they encourage him to do this to his surprise basically saying "Don't worry headmage we'll beat the shit out of evil Levan for you if he goes out of control (you are so annoying so we've always wanted to do this)"

The reveal and Crowley needing to stop supressing Levan in his subconcious to let him process what he should have would make sense, since it would also tie in to the overarching theme around the overblots:

That even though they're ugly and hurtful manifestations of trauma they need to play out so the OBer can finally grow as a person instead of bottling it all up and being in denial

And also so they can finally come to terms with something that happened to them even if they can't change it

^ Accidentally sort of also combined this with the "Crowley's mask is hiding the fact that he's in a paused state of overblot that he just managed to sorta control" theory. Maybe overblot is what he had to stop Levan from devolving into in the first place

↑ This ties back to my HC for Levan's personality being a natural coward and not as battle-oriented but tries to be strong as he sees Meleanor and Lilia to be as well as making the most out of the skills the does have (using cowardice and sensitivity to be a master diplomat and educator instead) so he can feel like he has the right to continue to stand by their side. Maybe he didn't even care much for being considered kind until that's what Mel and Lilia saw his actions as instead of weak or foolish, that being what made him want to work on that newly defining trait of his now

Lilia at one point mentions that even tho Levan tries to perform honor student he could be as picky of an eater as Meleanor was and Lilia would have to eat his spare food too

Adding to the possibility Levan was always the type to make twice an effort to be 'kind' and strong to compensate for his nature that he sees as inherently lacking. This is also probably why he'd be super harsh on himself as Crowley

Oomf also suggested that this may add a layer to why his catchphrase ended up being "For I'm so gracious". As if to remind himself to keep up the effort to be such because he fears his natural state is one that isn't, as well as him encouraging himself to always be forgiving so Levan doesn't gain the upper hand from his subconcious

That's pretty much it, hope the general idea and effect was conveyed properly🔥🔥🔥 I don't think the exact details need to be followed since it probably has a bunch of holes itself, but the general gist of Crowley being the more positive side of Levan instead of the expected inverse all along + it making more sense as to why Levan would be motivated to forget + tying into the themes of overblotting and trauma would be interesting I think. Kind of a clever misdirection. All of this is not super substantiated though since even now we barely know anything about either Levan or Crowley, so really only time will tell. Personally kinda got attached to this direction for Crowley's character so I hope they go with something adjacent to the heart fo it at least

The other option is he's not Levan at all and we're racking our brains over this for no reason lmao

Now that part 2 of Book 7 is out, I decided to make a post about it just like I did for part 1. Everything will be underneath the cut ^^

Following her nighttime chat with Malleus about Mickey and the mirror in her room, the next few days pass with Yuu and her sons trying to figure out the Mickey mystery and how she ended up in TW.

Meanwhile, Lilia is doing his best to deal with the Malleus situation by covertly gauging Malleus's mental state.

From Lilia's POV, Malleus seems fine, so he really finds it hard to believe that Malleus will OB even though he does trust Yuu and doesn't want to disregard her serious concern.

Unfortunately, there really isn't a lot Lilia can do in this situation since he can't just suddenly get his magic back, meaning he has to leave NRC, and he doesn't want to do anything too crazy when Malleus really does seem to be handling things just fine.

That's why, in the end, Lilia just decides that he'll play it safe by returning to the little cottage where he and Silver have lived ever since Silver was a baby, just to err on the side of caution.

This way, in Lilia's eyes, his departure won't be as hard for Malleus to accept because rather than going across the world he's returning to Briar Valley.

Of course, this is just a temporary fix since Lilia still intends to head for his original destination once he's sure that he won't have to worry about Malleus Overblotting.

Regrettably, this doesn't change things in the end because Malleus has already entered that state of mind where he realizes his time with Lilia is slowly but surely coming to an end, so while he'd be relieved to hear that Lilia is heading back to Briar Valley, he can't stop thinking about what's to come in the future.

Anyway, because Lilia still intends to leave NRC, the farewell party still gets held, just like in canon.

During the days leading up to the party, Yuu is on edge because, even though she hasn't had a vision about Malleus's impending OB, she knows it's gonna happen despite Lilia's assurances that everything will be fine.

Because Lilia seems confident that things will work out in the end, the majority of Yuu's friends, who have all heard about Yuu's concerns about Malleus's OB by this point, begin to relax since Lilia understands Malleus best.

However, there are a few guys who aren't so convinced like Yuu: Idia, Ortho, Leona, and Jamil.

Leona and Jamil trust Yuu's judgement more than Lilia's, especially since Yuu has been accurately predicting Overblots this whole time, and the two are pessimistic enough to believe things can't be solved as easily as Lilia believes lol

The Shroud brothers are skeptical because, thanks to all the manga/anime/video games they've been exposed to, they know dealing with a last boss like Malleus can't be that simple.

Plus, after they returned to NRC following Book 6 events, Yuu had a conversation with them that involved her pointing out how every time someone Overblots she always gets help from the dorm that was the focus of the previous OB, meaning she thinks Idia/Ortho will be a big help to her when Malleus Overblots.

Idia, of course, was not thrilled about that in the least lol But, in the end, he agreed to help Yuu if she should need his support cause Ortho was quick to agree to help, and Idia wasn't gonna let Ortho do something so dangerous on his own.

That's why the Shroud brothers did plenty of secret scans on Malleus throughout the days leading up to Lilia's farewell party.

In the end, none of Ortho's scans were able to detect a high enough level of blot to indicate an OB was imminent, but there was enough blot that Idia could tell that something was going on even if it wasn't obvious just from looking at Malleus.

For that reason, Idia hacks into the NRC student database so he can get as much info on Malleus as he can, like Malleus's UM, since the more he knows, the better prepared he can be.

(I'm not sure if such information is kept on file, but it just makes sense for the school to make note of such things, so I'm just gonna say this kinda database is actually a real thing lol)

Thanks to this, Idia finds out what Malleus's UM is and shares this info with Yuu, and naturally, they are not pleased to hear about this ridiculously OP UM, which would be incredibly difficult to deal with.

Yuu also later shares this information with Leona and Jamil since they told her to keep them updated.

A lot of Yuu's free time is spent strategizing with the Shroud brothers who make sure to contact their parents about this matter so Styx will be prepared for what's to come.

Thankfully, the Shroud parents take the threat seriously since they trust their sons, and they've also heard about Yuu's Quirk from the Styx employees who had helped the NRC gang take on OB Idia.

To add some levity to this super stressful period, I like the idea of the conversation with the Shroud parents being via video call, and when the serious convo eventually stops, Mama Shroud is all too eager to talk to Yuu since she's heard so much about her from Ortho and she's been dying to meet her boys' first friend.

Idia, of course, is extremely embarrassed/horrified and wants to end this video call as soon as possible, but he can't cause his mom threatens to delete some of his secret folders if he hangs up on her lol 😂

Yuu has fun chatting with Mama and Papa Shroud who really remind her of Ortho and Idia respectively, so there's at least this little bright spot in an otherwise very stressful period of time.

Anyway, moving forward, Saturday night eventually comes, aka the night of Lilia's farewell party.

The first half of the party is pretty much the same as canon since it's all about everyone greeting and talking to Lilia, so there's nothing I need to add there.

However, there are some slight changes on Idia's end. Rather than just because he just lost his online gaming buddy, Idia is also staying in his room because he, like Yuu, thinks if Malleus is gonna make his move it'll be that night, and he wants to test Malleus's UM to see if it can even reach him in his dorm's pocket dimension.

Idia would've preferred that Ortho stayed with him where it'd be safer, but Ortho wanted to pay respects to Lilia just in case nothing happens. Plus, if something does happen, he felt he'd be the most helpful at the party since he could easily communicate with Idia/their parents if necessary, and he wanted to be with Yuu to support her.

Also, Idia isn't as down on himself here as he is in canon because he does have a IRL friend who genuinely enjoys being with him, although he still finds Yuu crazy and thinks she has horrible taste in guys lol

That's another big motivator for Idia when it comes to dealing with Malleus. He's become pretty close to Yuu by this point, and he doesn't want anything to happen to her. He knows how reckless she can be at times, so he feels that he needs to look after her since chances are no one else will be able to if things turn out as badly as they're expecting.

Another change from canon is that Yuu tells Idia that, if he ever wants to contact Muscle Red, she'll help him cause, by this point, she knows that Lilia and Idia are gaming buddies. She just hasn't said anything to either of them cause she wasn't sure if she should or not.

Yuu knows this because, after she started gaming with Idia, Lilia found out about her becoming a gamer, and he was all too eager to become gaming buddies with her, so there have been times when she has played with both of them despite them being far more experienced/skilled than her.

As a result, Idia isn't as downhearted about Muscle Red's departure as he is in canon, although he still does plenty of sulking lol

Anyway, because Idia felt it was best to stay in his room rather than go to the party cause of the Malleus situation, Ortho doesn't spend as much time trying to convince him to come, so he's not late going to the party like in canon.

Instead, Ortho ends up showing up around the same time as Yuu and the other first years, and they all hang out together at the party, like in canon, with the exception of Sebek, who sticks close to Lilia when he's not eating.

Despite her best efforts to relax and enjoy the party, Yuu can't help but be on edge the whole time, especially when she realizes that Malleus is nowhere to be seen, even though she has still yet to see a vision of Malleus's OB.

A part of her wants to go looking for Malleus, but in the end, she refrains cause she sees Silver leave the party to do just that.

Regarding the scene with Silver/Malleus, it's just like it is in canon, even though Lilia is just heading back home rather than the other side of the world, because Silver really wanted Malleus to be able to see Lilia off, just in case Lilia ends up heading for his original destination before the end of the school year.

Plus, despite Lilia not being too worried about Malleus at this point, Silver's instincts are telling him that he should go look for Malleus just in case, especially since his mind won't stop replaying that scene when a tearful Yuu came to their dorm and told them that Malleus will one day OB.

Considering that a bad premonition, Silver quickly leaves the party to go search for Malleus.

From there, things proceed like in canon with that scene because, while there was some initial worry on his end when he saw Malleus was distressed enough to summon a blizzard, Silver ends up temporarily forgetting his original concerns because his emotions get the better of him when he's reminded of the fact he'll have to part from his father.

However, Silver quickly remembers his earlier concerns when Malleus has his eureka moment and starts eerily laughing. Unfortunately, he's unable to do anything since Malleus teleports them both back to their dorm in a flash.

Also, regarding Malleus's eureka moment, he only flashes back to his conversation with Lilia since he didn't have the same conversation with Yuu in part 1 that he did in canon.

Going back to the party, while Malleus and Silver are still gone, the conversations involving the first years from canon are happening, and Yuu is noticeably amused by Ortho's chat with Lilia for obvious reasons lol

One conversation that doesn't happen, however, is Lilia asking the first years and Sebek to get along with each other cause all of Yuu's sons are friends with each other by this point thanks to Yuu, although Sebek would deny it if asked and honestly so would Ace, Grim, Jack, and probably Deuce too lol 😂

Also, Lilia's conversation with Yuu is a little different since those two have talked plenty of times during the course of the school year, so he doesn't act like this is his first time in a while to have a proper conversation with the Ramshackle Prefect like in canon.

Lilia still thanks Yuu for being Malleus's friend, though, and asks her to continue looking after him. He also apologizes for all the grief they've been causing her since he knows she's still worried about him and Malleus.

It's during this chat that, like in canon, Yuu sees that brief image of Maleficent, similar to how she saw the Evil Queen right before Vil's OB.

Lilia and the first years, sans Sebek who's still getting a drink at Lilia's request, are immediately concerned about Yuu because she's gotten incredibly pale and is wobbly on her feet.

Naturally, this is because she knows this is a sign of bad things to come. Considering something like this happened right before Vil's OB, she knows it's now only a matter of time.

And of course, she's proven right. Before her friends can even get her to a chair, so she can sit down, Yuu's Quirk activates and proceeds to show her a vision of everything that happens upon Malleus's arrival to the party.

Because she had been expecting this turn of events, Yuu isn't as caught off guard as she normally is by OB-related visions, but she's still shaken nonetheless cause she's never seen her dear friend, Malleus, in such a state before and she's just devastated that this horrible turn of events really did happen.

But there's also some anger on her end since she can tell that Malleus's OB was on purpose. It wasn't cause his despair got the better of him like she had expected; he seriously allowed himself to enter such a state, meaning this could've all been avoided if he so desired, which really pisses her off since she has been so worried about him all this time.

However, Yuu gets distracted from her anger when in the vision Malleus makes a comment about how he'll give Yuu the happy ending she deserves, so she won't ever have to worry about her uncertain future again.

Much to Yuu's horror, she instantly realizes that it's not just Lilia's abrupt departure that has been weighing on Malleus, although that's obviously the major factor.

Malleus has also been thinking about her uncertain future, no doubt because she foolishly reminded him the other day of the fact that she's not from this world and of the circumstances that brought her here.

Even thought Yuu said she has no interest in returning to her world, Malleus was still negatively impacted by that conversation, like in canon, but the reason was because he was reminded of her circumstances and how, no matter how much she wants to stay in TW, there's still a chance of her being sent back to her world cause there's so much she doesn't know about her situation, and at the end of the day, she's just a frail, powerless human in his eyes.

And Malleus hates that because he doesn't want his only friend to be forced against her will to go somewhere she doesn't wanna go. Why can't someone as powerful as him be able to save her?

So, despite the conversation in part 1 being so different from canon, Yuu's situation does have an effect on Malleus's OB, because he hates how he's powerless in both her and Lilia's respective situations.

Going back to Yuu's vision, it shows everyone trying to stop Malleus and failing before he proceeds to use his UM. The last thing Yuu sees before her Quirk deactivates is everyone beginning to fall asleep thanks to Malleus's UM.

Unsurprisingly, when Yuu's sight returns to normal, all of her sons are surrounding her, including Sebek who returned while she was having her vision, along with Lilia, and they all appear noticeably worried cause Yuu is even paler now and looks absolutely terrified.

Before anyone can question her, she quickly tells Ortho to get in contact with Idia and Styx because "he" is coming.

Because of her Quirk's drawback, Yuu can't go into detail about her vision, but she doesn't really need to thanks to all the warnings she has given to her friends up until this point, which is why they all instantly know who "he" is.

While Ortho is getting in touch with Idia and their parents, Lilia is beyond shocked by this turn of events cause he really didn't think this would happen. He had really thought Malleus was handling this situation well.

Sebek is beside himself with worry and wants to go looking for Malleus and Silver, but Yuu tells him not to bother since it's only a matter of time before they show up at the party.

And when the idea of getting away from the party gets suggested by Ace, Yuu shoots down that idea too cause it's pointless. Her vision showed thorns covering the whole island where NRC is located, meaning there's no escaping Malleus's magic.

Around this time, the rest of Yuu's friends are taking notice that something is going on around the area where Yuu and her sons are, and they quickly realize that something is bad cause of how bad off Yuu looks, not to mention how anxious her sons are all appearing, Sebek especially.

Leona and Jamil quickly put two-and-two together, and it's not long before the rest of them also realize what's about to happen.

Crowley also notices something is amiss, which is why he gets distracted from telling Lilia about his carriage being ready for him, since he instead asks what everyone is getting all worked up about.

This leads to Ortho explaining the situation at hand so Yuu won't have to.

Unfortunately, before anything else can be done, Malleus and Silver arrive on the scene, instantly putting everyone on guard.

From there, things proceed like in canon with the exception that Lilia and Sebek immediately rush toward Malleus in hopes that they can get him to stop before it's too late. Silver, of course, also joins in since he quickly realizes what this turn of events must mean.

Malleus quickly realizes that his dormmates' actions must mean Yuu warned them of what he had planned, but he doesn't lose his good and instead just casually remarks that he's disappointed she spoiled his surprise.

Meanwhile, everyone else stays back and remains on their guard, including Yuu since she thinks it's best to first rely on Lilia and the others cause they know Malleus best.

Plus, Ace and Deuce both got a vice-like hold on her arms, so they clearly don't want her going anywhere near Malleus.

Regrettably, in the end, Malleus still Overblots and uses his UM to put everyone to sleep.

Well, almost everyone.

Much to Malleus's surprise, after he has his little moment following his OB transformation, he notices Yuu is still awake and is currently approaching him, walking around all the sleeping bodies on the floor to get to him.

However, he quickly realizes that Yuu is still awake because the ring he made using his magic for her as a return Christmas present is currently protecting her with a magic barrier.

Upon realizing that he doesn't just sense his magic coming from the ring, Malleus casually questions Yuu about it, and she explains how during the course of the last few days she asked all of the other guys in the OB gang to pour some of their magic into the ring, which she has been wearing all week, so she'd always be ready.

Yuu got the idea from Idia who used his magic on the ring during Book 6 events, and since she figured that the more magic she had in the ring, the better off she'd be, she decided to ask for help from him and the others.

Of course, Yuu knows Malleus is still by far the strongest mage here, so while she's awake now thanks to the ring, she knows it's only a matter of time before his magic overpowers the magic inside the ring.

Another reason Yuu is holding out is cause thanks to her alien status she has a bit of a resistance to sleep magic, so that combined with the ring's power is allowing her to remain conscious.

Thoroughly amused by this turn of events, Malleus asks Yuu if she intends to fight him like she did the others who Overblotted, but she says she won't because she has no intention to break her promise.

When he curiously asks what promise she's referring to, Yuu reveals that, in exchange for giving her some of their magic, all of the other guys in the OB gang made her promise not to try to fight Malleus on her own.

Yuu admits that had caught her off guard, especially the fact that all six of them had made the same request at completely separate times, meaning they had no idea what anyone else asked her for.

After all, you wouldn't normally expect a NRC student to ask for something like that as payment, and you definitely wouldn't expect those six guys to be on the same wavelength like that.

Naturally, it also made Yuu happy since it was proof that they were all concerned about her, although they'd never admit it outright lol

Anyway, because Yuu always keeps her promises, she has no intention to right Malleus, not that she would have anyway cause she knows under these circumstances that it would be a losing battle, and she'd rather not waste her time, especially when she has limited time in this situation.

Instead, Yuu decides to use this time to talk to Malleus, even though she knows it's unlikely that he'll change his mind at this point, because she has to do something.

Yuu: It's not like I don't understand where you're coming from, Tsunotaro. After all, back at the start of the school year, there was a time when I had been worried that this was all a dream that I would be forced to wake up from - a dream that I'd rather remain in forever cause my reality was just that horrible back in my world.

Malleus: That dream will be your reality. You have nothing to fear now, Child of Man.

Yuu: Honestly, it's a tempting offer, considering anything's better than one day being forced to separate from all the precious friends I've made in this world, but I can't accept it, not when it comes at such a high price.

Malleus: High price? There is no price for the happy dreams I'll provide you. They're free of charge since they're my special blessing to all of you.

Yuu: Of course, there's a price. There's always a price, Tsunotaro. You just haven't figured it out yet.

Malleus: And what pray tell is this price, Yuu?

Yuu: In exchange for that happily ever after you want to give me, I'd have to leave you behind all alone in this world, and of course, I can't do that when I know there's nothing you hate more than being alone.

Malleus: ...!

Yuu: And I certainly can't leave you alone in your current state when it's only a matter of time before your phantom tries to do you in, because, regardless of how powerful you are, you can't survive in an Overblot state forever. It's only a matter of time before you have to pay the too high price for that decision, the one you willingly made, I might add.

From there, Yuu lets him have it for purposely Overblotting and making her so worried about him, and she scolds him for acting like people's lives are toys that he can do as he pleases with.

Just because he's super powerful doesn't give him the right to do whatever he wants, even if he doesn't have bad intentions.

Yuu is angry at Malleus for being selfish, but more than anything, she's just sad about this horrible turn of events.

Yuu: You hate being alone more than anything, so why are you purposely putting yourself in a situation where you have no other choice but to be alone? Why are you trying to solve everything by yourself and not relying on anyone when you're so obviously suffering?

Yuu: You don't want people to fear you, right? Then, stop this before it's too late! Before you do something that you can take back! Otherwise, people will only have even more reasons to be afraid of you!

Regrettably, no matter what Yuu says, her words fail to get through to Malleus who has stubbornly decided that he's doing what's best for everyone.

So, by the time Malleus's UM finally starts affecting her thanks to the magic in her ring weakening, Yuu has made no progress, much to her immense frustration.

In a futile attempt to remain awake longer so she can keep talking to Malleus, Yuu repeatedly smacks her cheeks and tightly clenches her hands to the point her nails dig into her skin, but the pain is unable to fend off the impending drowsiness for more than a few seconds.

As a result, despite all her best efforts to remain awake, Yuu eventually falls asleep like everyone else in the room.

Before she can hit the floor, Malleus catches her and proceeds to use his magic to heal her minor injuries before wiping away the tears of frustration from her cheeks.

When he sees her injuries, Malleus says this is another reason why he's made the right decision because in this world Yuu gets hurt too often, so she's better off remaining asleep.

Malleus promises Yuu a wonderful dream where she won't ever have to suffer and feel pain again before he begins humming like he did in canon.

Unfortunately, little did Malleus know that that's a promise he won't be able to keep.

Also drawing takes long and I just wanna talk. And for those are EN only and don't want any spoilery talk I'll put my ramblings under the cut so you may ignore wild spoilers.

First I'd like to point out that Lilia doesn't seem to have an older looking form in the past so I was right all along that Lilia is a short faery man. Like did you see that silhouette? He's been that short for centuries!

Anyway that aside, I'm very 50/50 on the whole "Is Lilia faking his death, or is his past catching up to him quicker than he expected? Cuz Sebek mentioned that Lilia's old weapon is made of a special material that can change size, so I'm thinking Lilia's old fighting style involed him using his Unique magic so much that someone was like "you're gonna die or overblot if you keep fighting like that" so he switched up his style to be more advantageous to his naturally small size. I feel like that could explain this sudden "Lilia is losing his magic and dying thing" cuz like if fae are mostly made of magic and it takes them long to die without an outside force killing them then I guess a fae that dies of old age is just a fae who's used up all their magic, and if Lilia used to be extremely reckless in the past then it could explain why this sprung up so suddenly. Cuz unlike Idia, Ortho, and Silver, Lilia had zero hints about his status other than complaining about back pain, barely, also no one is able to tell if he's joking or not, so who's to say we were just not paying attention enough to Lilia's actual situation. Then again it still does feel sudden even if we had subtle hints that Lilia is very old, but he has so much energy it's hard to believe that he's fragile, probably cuz Lilia was ignoring it for Malleus' sake and finally decided that Malleus needs to learn how deal with loss so he's just dramatizing his death a bit? Like I don't think he's lying, but I also think he could be using this situation to help teach Malleus a type of life lesson he was putting off for way too long. At least that's my theory on Lilia for now.

I'm also wondering about Silver's origins, and if Lilia was the one that took Silver from his family. He says the ring belongs to Silver, what importance does this ring have to Silver's origins? Does it have dream powers? Is it the key to figuring out Silver's mysterious sleep spells? Was Silver from a human kingdom that was taken over by the Briar Valley and Silver was the only survivor so Lilia took him and his family ring? But like why? I'm also wondering if Silver is a direct descendent of Aurora and Philip. We know Idia is possibly a direct descendent of Hades based on his family curse, since he explains it in a way that sounds closer to what actually happened to Hades in the Hercules movie.

Which leads me into in another thing I've been thinking about, what if the students that overbloted are decendents of the Great Seven? I do remember seeing a translated bit from an interview with Yana were she was talking about the early development of the game and that the original plan for the SSR's was to have the characters with the Disney villains they took inspo from. So I'm wondering if the whole "Crowley is forcing overblots" theory that's been going around might have merit to it. That could explain why characters like Leona and Vil ended up overblotting even though they tend to be very level headed, but Crowley set up an environment that would cuz them to overblot.

"But what about Idia and Ortho that didn't happen in NRC?" HEAR ME OUT I GOT A THEORY! What if Crowley wanted to get STYX involved cuz he needed the Shrouds to merge with the overblot of their ancestor directly cuz of the Shroud family curse preventing Idia from overblotting like the others, so when Ortho started hacking STYX and got Idia to join him in this uprising in the facility, so long as Idia and Grim were involved and had contact with the blot then his plans could be full-filled? Cuz looking back, I'm still wondering WHO WAS CALLING ORTHO TO THE TARTARUS GATE? I don't think it was the real Ortho, the real Ortho shows up when Idia was separated from the blot and was telling Idia to continue living for the both of them, so like WHO WAS CALLING ROBOT ORTHO?!?!

But why would Crowley want to cuz these overblots? Maybe because he's planning something that involves wanting to bring back the Great Seven? What if Maleficent and Hades are the only two of the Great Seven who are still around unlike the others who lived so long ago and are just mortal beings (and Jafar's lamp was destroyed in the sequel). Maybe Grim is the key to Crowley's plan? Maybe it's Crowley who's going to allow Malleus to cause some kind of timeloop? We know Malleus is capable of stopping time, and we know his emotions tend to effect the weather around him, so like maybe Malleus is going freeze NRC not just in time but also literally freeze the area surrounding the campus cuz he doesn't want to be alone, and Crowley might just let it happen.

Cuz Crowley probably knows more than he lets on, after all Maleficent and the Evil Queen had pet crows, so he could be working for someone who wants these overblots to happen.

Here's my theory for twst chapter 6. In all past chapters, it's the trouble that found MC first, because of something those with blot were doing already. In this chapter, Yuu's friends are going to Idia first. Maybe Yuu is in critical condition and they need Idia connection with underworld for help. Or maybe Idia's talent with technology. The VDC stage probably have security cameras, so they are probably investigating what happened.

SPOILER ALERT (!)

In the last part of the chapter we can see that conversation between Savannaclaw's students Jack, Ruggie and the perceptive Leona. He noticed the amount of powerful magic in the environment (btw, no-one else noticed that) and also mentioned about the missing file in the backup support system, maybe he's going to investigate further in the matter, maybe Idia has an answer, after all they mention Ignihyde in the conversation.

Second, I have lots of theories about Ignihyde. I aguee with you, they'll need Idia's help and that will be a pain in the ass because Idia is not the "kind" type as we saw in the previous events.

My personal opinion/theories:

Grim is related to the underworld/ olimpians. His flames are like Idia's, also the colors are similar to Ignihyde's. Idia can help Yuu to find/cure Grim.

Ortho is a robot and Idia gave him life and magic by using his skills in technology. Maybe Idia will do the same to Yuu, nor turning them into a robot but what about provide them with artificial magic?

Yuu is going to tell the truth, if not to 1st years, I hope to the dorm leaders. More now that they had the vision about the tragic future and a picture of Mickey (evidence baby)

I still believe that Grim's true form is not that little kitty cat, he's more like Kerberos from Card Captor Sakura. Plus Grim has sort of a similarity with Cerberus (the dog from the underworld)

Malleus is gonna panic if Yuu is in critical state (which is possible, yeees, angst)

Leona will be more involved. Originally his plot was between Ignihyde and Diasomnia's plot, he's the second in terms of power, of course Malleus wins... So this makes him valuable.

There's this another theory (From mia-pon289) about Savannaclaw's arc, it's says the arc is not finished. And the other one about the loops.

However this is super exciting, I can't waaaait.

twisted wonderland theories part 3 : Opening explanation and parallels

Well well , hope you guys enjoyed reading the previous two parts of twst theories so far

Anyways , this is the third part . I decided to go through the opening and original disney animations and also black Butler anime references one more time so this is the combination of all I've found this time , together with some stuff you might've missed

Twst's official opening was pretty mysterious and is most likely giving us hints of the upcoming adventures during the storyline . Well here's the link to opening with eng sub and also the summary of the main character references that were given to us:

1) Ace and Deuce's rivalship : We talked about this one a lot back in (part 2) so let's skip this one

2) Leona's sadness and pain : Leona's tearn falling to the ground and the Ruggie and Jack coming for him ; that's just how he always is : mentally sad and broken with a horribly frustrating past , but will avoid expressing himself and letting anyone see his pain anyway . Not really weird that these two are always around him , Leona does really need to be looked after ...

3) Azul's seek of power : He just looked...mad in this scene . Ursula's shadow on his fave and that creepy smile totally freaks anyone out. It really explains how great his desire of power is . His neglected self in the childhood and pretty poor talent got him to this point...

4) Jamil's cold and kinda confused self : Well this one isn't really clear yet since ch 4 isn't out . But perhaps depression has this guy... spending his whole life serving the the nasty Kalim he might've grown the same characteristics as Jafar , who was so long sick of being the second one in everything . But still his ideal of life is much different from Jafar's . We saw him hypnotizing Kalim in order to make him force students to do better at school . He's trying his best to leave up to his promises as the vice dorm leader but still , having the nasty Kalim as the dorm itself is making it a lot harder for him so he's got no choice but to hypnotize him...

5) Idia's severe anxiety and his protectiveness toward Ortho : This one was mentioned in s rather old re blog but here e go again : Well with how the rumors of the "cursed Shroud family" , Idia's anti-society self might be a bit explained . This guy's overblot is surely going to be EPIC ... we just know very few about him and yet that's more than enough for him to overblot at once . 6) Vil's anger of not being the fairest and breaking the mirror: This one's been pointed out a lot . His anger being the same as evil queen's and also the fear of him actually poisoning someone to become the fairest one more time....**

7) Malleus' isolated self and his hidden evil aura : This one's being shown too obviously . The lonely dark prince exposing his evil side under the full moonlight . All alone , beyond the forest of thorns (Lol how ironic) while the others are running to save him before it gets too late...***

Very well these were the general hints found on the opening , but don't miss the final seconds which included the biggest hidden facts you could've missed

Firstly , the splitted ink (This one was previously discussed on part 1 but still...) : We talked about how in the "Epic Mickey", Mickey accidentally splits the magic ink over the kingdom and which led to the creation of "shadow blot". This sight seems to be much similar to what we had here in the epic mickey

Well this parallel might be more than just an accidental one and finally and it might actually be that overblot is kinda Crowley's fault , too

Crowley crosses the mirror , turns into an actual crow and flies away...(DaMn YoU bIrDiE wHERe ArE yOu gOinG I'M noT doNe YeT-)

Well the reason he suddenly runs away isn't clear yet but being a fan of black butler for years , I was suddenly reminded of how Undertaker disappeared all of a sudden at this scene from the movie :" Book of Atlantic "

pretty similar , aren't they..?

In Book of Atlantic , Undertaker revealed his original identity as a reaper and the mastermind behind the "Bizzare dolls' " project after pretending to be a just a crazy cookie lover for so long . And at once , he comes up with his stunning sudden self-reveal , leaving everyone in the room speechless

Now now , what do we have with Crowley?

A principal who keeps hiding his face (remember that Undertaker hid his eyes , too?) , telling everyone "how kind he is" many times ... also:

1) In the opening , he was standing smiling in the mirror hall while the seven dorms were burning through seven mirrors

2) He didn't ever try to stop anyone from overbloting ; even Riddle whose overblot occurred right in front of him

3) In the beggining of the game, he asked the mirror to choose the right one and then! and MC was chosen ! MC took the hand of the one appearing through the mirror (seemingly Dire Crowley) and came here. With all said , so why did the mirror reject MC afterwards?

Also , how couldn't he help MC return to Their own world and didn't know about it if he himself brought MC here..?(Could it be that...MC doesn't remember how she/he was brought here?)

4) If he literally is THIS useless and can't ever stop or help anything, then why would he be the principal.....?

Sooooo enough with Crowley ; but what's with these two....?

Well it seems that Diasomnia and Pomefiore are going to play a greatly important role in the storyline . We were kinda sure of Diasomnia's but Pomefiore's...? What's so special with it?

Btw , just how important is being "the fairest one of all "to him ? How 'far' would he go to be the fairest...? With the bitten apple in the last few seconds of opening , it most likely seems that he IS gonna 'kill' to be the fairest again ...Who would he kill ? We don't know . But how about our pretty small guy Epel? Could it be him ? The stubborn freshman who refuses following Vil around and is usually mistaken with a girl......?

Also , why would the original mirror be so important to Crowley? If Vil's supposed to represent evil queen , why isn't 'he' the one owing the mirror...?

And now , the spindle wheel .Great maleficent's legacy , in the hands of Crowley...Well well this is 'too' much . Malleus' family treasure being kept hidden in NRC... pathetic

Also , the mirror which Vil broke in the opening . Well well seems like he isn't having the original magic mirror , afterall....

But wait , if there's the spindle wheel , who's gonna be the evil witch to pull the sweet princess to eternal sleep..? Right , there's only one who might be...

Well we talked about all we'd got so far , but what about Grim ? Isn't anyone going to mention his importance or why he was also mentioned in this chaotic final seconds of opening ???

Alright , if you ever wondered who was Grim named after , I guess we've got it now . Mentioning Grim , Snow white and Sleeping beauty together at once is too direct to be a coincidence ...but it's also terrifying ...

Thinking that Disney is actually referring to the original books written by Grimm brothers is a bit too dark... Original stories are really horrible and a great way to ruin one's childhood , but all these hints fit each other way too great and now , they may no longer be just a coincidence...

Ruin or Redemption Ch 10: Monster Hunters

Beginning his second week of school, Krest still avoided other students most of the time. Classes could be stressful, but he was a quick learner and could study all night, since he didn’t need to sleep. It was the people he didn’t like. He’d lived alone for so long that he sometimes questioned if he even remembered what a normal life was like. He had never been very social—at least that was familiar to him.

He did occasionally make attempts to talk to people. A few days ago, he had met a guy, two years older than him, named Aaron. He was tall, with brown eyes and dark, chestnut brown hair. Maybe it was because he was introverted too, but Krest found him easier to talk to. They ended up talking about random things they wanted to do someday, and they both thought exploring abandoned places sounded cool. Now, Krest was surprised to see Aaron come up to him before lunch and ask him to hang out later. He figured that Aaron couldn’t get anyone else to go with him.

“There’s this old house out in the woods by my house that I wanna check out later. You wanna come?” he asked.

“Sure... y-you know, I think Dib is into that s-stuff, too...” said Krest. He thought about what Dib had told him a few days ago about Krest helping him catch aliens.

“He’s Professor Membrane’s son, right? Eh, I don’t care who comes. My house at 5?”

“Yeah,” he said. Aaron gave him his number. Krest had a phone from Irk, but it looked like a regular Earth one. He hadn’t been able to use it since he’d left Irk, since he had no service on the planet he was on.

After school, he found Dib as he was walking out the door.

“H-Hey Dib, wanna check out an a-abandoned house w-with me? I’m going with m-my friend Aaron.”

Dib turned to him. “Sounds like a good place for the supernatural. What time and where?”

Krest told him where they were meeting up, and Dib agreed to be there.

Later that day, they all met up at Aaron’s house. Dib kept his phone on hand so he could take pictures of anything they found. With everyone ready, Aaron led them behind his house and into the woods. Once the noise from the road faded, the woods suddenly felt barren. Any sound, from rustling leaves to the sound of their footsteps, was clear. They walked through the bare bushes and wilting grass. The sun was low in the sky and mostly blotted out by clouds, though a few rays of light filtered through the trees. The leaves were all shades of orange and gold, with half of them already on the ground. The woods looked warm and peaceful, but it was quickly getting colder as the light began fading and the sky turned darker.

Aaron spotted a small structure through the trees. “There it is,” he said, leading the other two over to it. They all looked at the gray, wooden house. The entire thing was weathered and had clearly taken damage from storms. They walked through the doorframe, which had no door attached, and looked around what seemed to be the living room. All of the windows were broken, the floor and everything laying on it was covered in leaves, and the beige paint on the walls was chipped and worn away. Dib tried to imagine what the place looked like when people still lived there. Where did they go? he wondered. Aaron looked at some wooden shelves. Anything valuable was already gone. He and Krest went into a bedroom. The mattress was still there; the closet still had a few scraps of clothing in it. An empty picture frame was on the floor.

Dib heard something moving around and walked towards it, but he stopped as he faintly heard growling and what sounded like something slamming against a wall. After a few seconds, he cautiously continued into a room with a small, dusty table and an empty cabinet that had been pulled away from the wall. He suddenly heard a crash and saw a streak of gray leap onto a mass of brown fur behind the cabinet. He stepped back and called out for the others. The slate gray reptilian was already on top of its prey, teeth sunk into its neck. It was the size of large dog, with short forelegs that had sharp talons and a long, thin tail. A line of blood red quills ran down its head to its tail. Dib looked down in surprise at the brown animal’s body. At first he thought it was a deer, but it didn’t have the same body shape and had curled horns that he recognized. It was the alien he and Krest had seen a few days prior.

Aaron and Krest came in, abruptly stopping as they saw the raptor-like creature. It lifted its head and stared at them for a moment, its eyes black with white slitted pupils. The three stood still, tensely watching in astonishment. Dib began to raise his phone to take a picture of it, but stopped as it moved again. It growled as it tore a chunk of flesh off of its catch, then dashed into another room. Aaron leaned forward and looked into the room. It was dark and looked like a storage space. He slowly turned back to the others and whispered, “What the hell was that?”

“It must be another alien,” Dib answered in a low voice. “Look—that brown thing is the alien me and Krest saw on Friday.”

Aaron glanced at the carcass, not really wanting to look at it. “I’ve never seen any of those things before, but... how would you know they’re aliens? Like, they don’t look normal, but that’s a big assumption.”

Dib was about to start talking about how Zim is an alien and probably unleashing alien monsters to destroy the city, but Krest stopped him. “L-Let’s go before that th-thing comes back,” he said uneasily. Dib sighed in resignation, and the three of them left the house. Dib kept telling them that Zim was behind the appearance of the creatures, but Aaron didn’t know enough about Zim to believe it. Krest believed that it was something Zim would do, but didn’t say anything. Once they got back to Aaron’s house, Dib and Krest began walking home.

Krest stopped by Zim’s base to tell him and Kay what he had seen. He seemed glad to hear that his Doomquill was alright, and Kay sent Bhir to capture it.

Later that evening, Bhir returned with the alien. The SIR unit had tranquilized it, and safely brought it to a glass container in the lair. Zim eyed the gray reptilian. “This wasn’t my original plan, but the one monster should still work,” he said.

“You sure it’s not gonna get out again?” Kay called out from somewhere else in the lair. “If anyone catches it, they’re gonna realize it’s not an animal that exists on Earth.”

Zim scowled—she’s always making things more difficult, even though she’s just trying to stop him from being too hasty. “I’ll watch it. Gir and my computer will stand guard.”

The Doomquill watched him, its pupils narrow slits. It was a deadly creature that would often hunt prey larger than it. It could cause serious harm to a human, or Irken, if left unchecked.

Who Are You? - Part 7

Leaves, drained of their colour by the early hour, swirled in the air momentarily blotting out the setting quarter moon. The small shadows danced over the dark figure on the path.

The wind shifted carrying a flock of birds up into the air and the scent of her pursuer over the length of the path.

She spun on her heel when she heard the snap of a dry twig and lifted her hand.

A steel grip wrapped around her wrist before she could strike and she found herself staring up into familiar brown eyes.

She inhaled sharply, her mouth twisting over the taste of the floral perfume drifting from his clothes.

“Good morning, Hayley,” his eyes shifted over her features, “we need to have a little chat.”

He traced the ornate crest on his jacket and ignored the sound of chatter around him. Kids and teenagers milled about in every corner of the great room; some were sipping on smoothies, some were eating muffins pilfered from the dining hall, some were working on homework, but all of them had one thing in common; all of them save for him.

“You’re supposed to wear that,” a soft voice sounded at his elbow.

“I don’t think it fits,” he looked up at the girl.

“It’ll fit perfect. Ca… Miss Forbes is really good at sizes.” She took a seat on the couch as he took in her appearance: plaid skirt, dark blue blazer over a white blouse, a matching tie, and the crest over her left breast.

He tilted his head and read the title of her textbooks: Intro to Lycanthropy, Intro to Magical History and Chemistry of Magic; they were contradictory in terms. He nodded to her hands.

“Which are you? Why aren’t you sitting with your friends?”

“I’m a few things,” she followed his gaze. “The school likes to practice inclusion,” she made air quotes with her fingers, “but it’s still a school, and every school has cliques.”

“Wolves, witches, and vampires,” he nodded. Three distinct groups that he had yet to find a place in.

“Mmhmm,” she nodded. “They’re friendly enough, but I don’t really fit in with any of them. They think I’m a…”

“A what?” He prompted when she trailed off.

“A freak,” she shrugged as if it didn’t bother her, “I’m the tribrid, part witch, and part wolf and part vampire. I don’t fit in to a neat little category.”

“At least you know what you are,” he smiled. “I don’t know that I’m anything.”

“You must be something,” she put her books on the coffee table, “otherwise you wouldn’t be here.”

“That’s what Elena said,” he sighed, falling back into his seat.

“I know Elena,” she fingered the hem of her skirt, “she’s friends with Car… Miss Forbes.”

“You know the headmistress too,” he tilted his head. “That’s the second time you’ve almost called her by her name.”

“She’s kind of a friend,” she shrugged. “She knows my dad, and she says her friend doesn’t lie. If Elena thinks you belong here then you do.”

“I’m not anything special though,” he shook his head.

“She said you were,” her eyes narrowed, “why would she say that if you weren’t?”

“She said it because I couldn’t be compelled,” he turned the jacket over in his hands.

“Then you’re something,” she nodded. “Only supernatural beings can resist compulsion.”

“But what am I?” He blinked. From the corner of his eye he saw his former foster brother with the wolf pack; they shared a room, but the pack had made it clear he wasn’t a part of their circle.

“I don’t know,” she hopped up from the couch and grabbed her books, “but I can help you figure it out if you like.”

“Don’t you have something better to do than hang out with the new kid?” He picked up his jacket.

“Right now I have to go to class,” she nodded to the small pile of textbooks, “and so do you.”

He stood up and eyed the pile of books for his morning classes. There were the usual subjects he would have taken at a normal school along with the less common subjects he never considered existed; at least not outside of Hogwarts.

“Are you coming?” She hugged her books to her chest. Her eyes found the jacket still in his hand.

“I still don’t think this fits,” he lifted the material.

“It’s just new,” she smiled, “you’re not used to it. Put it on and soon it will feel like something you’ve always worn.”

He slipped his arms into the sleeves and settled the material over his shoulders; it felt foreign against his skin, but the way she nodded made him think it at least looked alright.

“See,” she smirked, “perfect fit. I’m Hope by the way.”

“Landon,” he picked up his books.

She nodded and motioned for him to follow her down the hall towards the classrooms.

Elena ran the tip of her finger along the etched runes of the box, mindful of the sharp ridges that acted as canals for the glistening blood. The last thing she wanted to do was bring up a bead of blood that would unlock the box and unleash the evil inside on the world. It might only be a quarter of the original strength, but anything that could make Elijah lose control needed to remain locked away.

She peeked out the window at the rising sun and watched the light dance over her fingers. The ebony box seemed to glow in the morning light.

She sighed and turned her attention to the nightstand where she had placed his note. The heavy paper sat beside the empty vial in front of the alarm clock.

What time had he written it?

When had he left?

A sharp knock drew her out of her mind and towards the door. Sighing she stood up and opened the door.

“Morning,” Lexa smiled brightly.

It took Elena a second to figure out how she was so cheerful. The source of her pep appeared to be the half-drunk latte in her hand. She accepted the second cup and hummed when the caffeine hit her system.

“That’s just what I needed.”

“I figured you’d want some coffee,” Lexa grinned. She slipped into the room and looked around. “Where’s Elijah?”

“He…” Elena fingered the lid of her cup and glanced at the note. “He had to do something.”

“No matter,” Lexa waved her hand and reached for the box on the table. “I don’t actually need him for this next bit. I don’t really need you for that matter.”

“Thanks?” Elena tilted her head and narrowed her eyes.

“I thought you might like to watch though,” Lexa gave a quiet laugh. “What do you say? Do you wanna watch me banish this bitch to the Ancestral plain?”

“Sounds like the best way to start the day,” she wrapped her fingers around the takeaway cup.

“I thought that was sex,” Lexa tipped up her cup, finishing the last dregs of her latte.

“Oh no,” Elena shook her head, smirking. “The best way to start the day is banishing an evil bitch to another plain, followed by sex, and finally coffee.”

“Hmm,” Lexa nodded thoughtfully, tilting her head. “I agree with your list.”

“So you’re obviously not a vampire,” Hope took a seat in the middle of the room, “that leaves werewolf or witch.”

“Wouldn’t I know if I was a werewolf?” Landon fiddled with his pencil as the other students filed in.

“Your friend didn’t,” Hope nodded to where Rafael was entering the room. He walked down the aisle and slid into the desk on the other side of Landon.

“What are we talking about?”

“You,” Landon rolled his eyes to the side, “not knowing you were a werewolf. You didn’t, right?”

“Not until I got here and Mr. Saltzman explained,” Rafael shook his head. “Who’s your new friend?”

“Raf this is Hope, Hope,” he motioned to the desk, “this is Raf.”

“Hope?” Rafael frowned. “Hope? I’ve heard your name before. You’re the…”

“Tribrid,” Hope crossed her arms over the desk.

“She’s gonna help me figure out what I am,” Landon flipped open his book when the teacher walked in.

“And she’s thinking wolf?” He glanced around Landon.

“It’s a possibility,” Hope whispered back, “my mom didn’t know she was a wolf either until she triggered it, and neither did my dad. Could be an untapped witch too,” she shrugged.

“All kinds of possibilities,” Landon grinned.

Caroline shuffled through the pile of papers littering her desk. During her short European excursion the inbox had flooded. She sifted through the bills, student discipline notices, and upcoming events in the town. She organized them into neat piles and subcategories. The discipline slips took the most time.

There had been aggression from the wolves in the days before the full moon. The witches had instigated a magical prank war that had ended with one of the dorms being lit on fire and another covered in a hot pink substance that stuck to everything.

Finally there were the new student notices; two in the last few weeks.

She picked up the phone when it vibrated.

“Salvatore Boarding School.”

“Wow, do you answer the phone like that all the time?”

“Only when I don’t bother to check the ID,” she grinned. “What’s up Elena?”

“I just wanted to check in. Jeremy dropped off a new student the other day and I wanted to know how he was settling.”

Caroline picked up the student files.

“Would that be Rafael Waithe or Landon Kirby?”

“Landon; I met him a few days ago.”

“I’ve only just gotten back, so I haven’t gotten to know him yet, but according to the psych evaluation he’s adjusting slowly.”

“That’s to be expected, I think. He doesn’t know what he is.”

“Rest assured we’ll find out.” Caroline wheeled her chair towards the filing cabinet. It didn’t seem to matter how old she got; wheeled office chairs were fun at any age.

“Are you wheeling around your office?”

“You know me too well,” she snickered.

“I do at that. How was Europe? That’s where you were, right?”

“Yeah,” she sighed, filing the papers, “it was nice. I hunted down Klaus and gave him an earful, and then I stood there to make sure he went through with calling Hope.”

“You know where Klaus is?”

“I know where he was,” Caroline frowned. “Are you going to pull a Katherine and spend the next half of the millennium avoiding him?”

“Hahaha.”

“You know I’m kidding,” she used her foot to sway in a circle. “You are nothing like Katherine Pierce. Katherine wouldn’t have sounded so eager when I mentioned Klaus’ name.”

“I just need to find him, Care. At some point in the near future.”

“Got a thing for the Hybrid now?” Her eyes narrowed.

“Oh, you sound jealous.”

“Am not!” The denial came too quickly eliciting a laugh from her friend.

“I don’t have a thing for Klaus. I have something for him, or rather… I want to take something from him.”

“You’re a thief now?” Caroline tilted her head.

“Believe me; he will willingly part with this.”

“I haven’t heard from him in a bit, but if I speak with him again I’ll be sure to tell him you’re looking for him.”

“Thanks Care. Now tell me: how are the girls?”

“Blissfully unaware of what’s lurking in the future.” Her voice turned bitter.

“No luck finding a solution then?”

“Nothing,” she shook her head before remembering Elena couldn’t see her.

“I’m still looking too, but I haven’t found anything yet.”

“Thank you for looking,” she raked a hand through her hair.

“Of course. What’s the point of eternity if I can’t use my limitless time to help my friends?”

“You have a tendency to help everybody,” Caroline rolled her eyes.

“I like helping people. Speaking of…”

Caroline heard the sound of her hair rustling as she turned her head to look at someone else in the room with her. The other side of the conversation was too indistinct for her to make out telling her the other person was a good distance from the phone.

“I gotta go.”

She hung up the phone and lifted her gaze when the door swung open. A broad smile spread over her cheeks when she saw her visitors and the small pile of mail they had used as an excuse to come barging into her office.

Caroline dropped onto her knees and wrapped her arms around the twins as they barreled into her. She pressed several quick kisses to the tops of their heads and pulled back to give them her sternest look, but her eyes were sparkling.

“What do you two think you’re doing?”

“We brought you the mail,” Josie held out the handful of envelopes.

“Ah yes,” Caroline took the thick stack, “and as everyone knows that’s a two person job.”

“It’s a really heavy stack,” Lizzie nodded solemnly.

“And now that you’ve brought me the mail you’ll be heading back to class,” Caroline cocked an eyebrow.

“Can’t we play hooky and hang out with you?” Lizzie pouted.

“Please, mom?” Josie clasped her hands in front of her and mirrored her sister’s expression.

It took all of her will-power to shake her head. She stood up and steered them around by their shoulders towards the door.

“Unfortunately no,” she smiled when they looked up at her, “you have to go to class, but I’ll tell you what…” she bit her lip when they grinned, “… tonight the three of us are going to hang out.”

“Movie night?” Josie blinked innocently.

“What movie?” Caroline nodded her assent.

“Willie Wonka?” Lizzie smiled hopefully.

“I know what you’re after,” she tweaked Lizzie’s nose, “junk food.”

“You can’t watch Willie Wonka without candy, mom,” Josie twisted her hips back and forth so her skirt swayed.

“It’s just not right,” Lizzie agreed.

“Willie Wonka it is,” Caroline pretended to hand her head before nodding her assent. She sent the grinning girls on their way and turned back to the new pile of mail. She was going to toss it on the desk when she recognized the handwriting on the first envelope.

She tore into it and perched on the desktop.

Dearest Caroline,

I never thanked you for coming to knock some sense into me, and you are now in a place that will not allow for a face to face conversation.

I’ve sent you a gift to express my gratitude; the name of a witch who might be able to help you in your current predicament. I know you didn’t tell me about it, but I’m no fool; I knew the Gemini several centuries ago.

I do look forward to thanking you in person someday.

She reached into the envelope and extracted a folded piece of paper. Her eyes narrowed when she read the block letters spelling out a name and address; hope fluttered in her chest.

She held her breath as the spell started and the room around them faded from view. For a moment the world was white and then the room came back into focus. The only difference was an eerie glow cast by the twilight and the absence of electricity.

“What happened?” Elena’s voice echoed in the suite, seeming to bounce off of thin air.

“We’re in the ancestral plain,” Lexa whispered. Her voice still carried though.

“What now?” Elena lifted the box from the floor between them.

“Now we hide it,” she smirked.

“We can’t just leave it?” Elena cocked an eyebrow.

“We could,” Lexa nodded, “but where’s the fun in that? If you had a choice of final resting place where would it be?”

“Bottom of the ocean,” she said without missing a beat.

“We’re a little short on oceans,” Lexa shook her head. They were limited to where they could travel on foot. “How about the Mississippi?”

“Why did you do it?” He released her wrist before he gave in to his urge to squeeze and break the bone.

“Do what?” Hayley lowered her hand.

“You told Vincent to place the Hollow in us.”

“I didn’t…” her heart jumped.

“Don’t lie to me,” his expression hardened. “He told us as much last night. He also revealed that he knew there was a better way; one that wouldn’t tear this family apart.”

“I did what I had to do,” she went poker-faced.

“No, you didn’t,” he shook his head, “that’s the whole point. You came to this decision on your own and ripped Niklaus from his child in the process. There was another way and you knew it.”

“I had to,” her teeth gritted, “he would have ruined her given half a chance.”

His eyes widened; he must have been truly blind not to have seen it sooner. How many times had she tried to take Hope away? How many times had he played mediator between the hot headed parents?

“Danger and death follows your family wherever it goes,” her mouth twisted. “I did what I needed to in order to create a safe home for her.”

“Somehow I doubt Niklaus will see it the same way.” He lifted his chin when he saw the fear flash through her eyes. “She’s not even here; you have her enrolled at boarding school.”

“Are you going to tell him?” She crossed her arms; a muscle in her jaw twitched.

“I should,” he took a step back, “but I won’t.”

“Thank you…” her sigh of relief was cut off.

“Don’t thank me,” he shook his head and pointed a finger at her. “I have killed people for lesser offences, and Niklaus would kill you in an instant. The only reason you are still drawing breath is Hope.”

He turned on his heel and started back down the path.

“Elijah,” she called after him, “where are you going?”

He paused and drew in a calming breath before looking back over his shoulder. He didn’t dare turn around for fear he would do something he’d regret, like divest Hope of her mother.

“I’m going to clean up the mess you made.” He turned back to the path and heard her heart skip a beat. “I’m going to reunite my family.”

Her cold voice had him freezing in his tracks.

“You’re going to need help for that,” her hands found her hips. “The witch and the doppelbitch,” her brows rose when he turned back around. “I’ve had eyes on you since I found out you were in town; it’s pretty clear you’re at a standstill on your own.”

“What have you done?” His muscles locked up with rage. She said nothing and he turned and raced into the morning.

Do you have any tips on running a Studygram? I'm thinking of starting one but there are already so many Studygrams, I don't know if me making one will make an impact :(

hi anon! i’m not the best or biggest studygrammer out there but I’m flattered you decided to ask me :> i think it really depends on what you mean by making an ‘impact’, so before you start a studygram you rly gotta ask yourself what you hope to get out of it. do you want to gain followers? do you want a visual record of your study journey towards some major exam (like ‘A’ levels)? do you want to make friends online and feel like you’re part of a tight-knit and supportive social circle? do you want people to admire your lettering/ bujo? do you want to post photos of stationery? do you want to get extrinsic motivation in the form of encouraging comments and likes? there are tons of reasons why people start studygrams, not all of them healthy, but rly it’s your life so u can do what u want but u have to be honest with yourself and be prepared for the consequences. 

ok sO I SAID THAT ON MY STUDYBLR I WILL BE 100% REAL SO IMMA DO SOME REAL TALK AND IT MAY BE OFFENSIVE BC SOME THINGS OFTEN REMAIN UNSPOKEN BUT rly if u know me this is how i am 24/7 and if you disagree we can have a civil conversation about it later on. also i’m very sweary so you have all been warned.

if you’ve asked anyone else they’re v likely to tell you ‘the study community welcomes all! just do you and post original content and over time your account will grow’. maybe it’s worked for some people, but idk man it feels like a stock answer and i don’t think it’s working for most people who are in it for the numbers because they later resort to other methods that i will address below.

so before you dive into it i just wanna say that i have seen so many people get discouraged and stop posting / lash out at others because they did not get the popularity they wanted. they didn’t reach their ‘milestone’, an imaginary construct, and then they leave the community silently, or they go off on a rant about how it’s ‘cliquey’ or ‘exclusive’ or how ‘big accounts don’t care about small accounts’. WHY MAKE YOURSELF SO UNHAPPY THO? honestly being numbers-oriented will never give you happiness because THE STUDY COMMUNITY IS ALREADY OVERSATURATED and not every account can eventually ‘make it big’. this is the reality of it. you can try to gain followers by buying them, spending an inordinate amount of time plying smaller accounts with compliments and likes in the hopes that they will follow you willingly, sfs, fff, etc, OR you can not play the numbers game and do it for yourself. post what you want because you’re proud of your notes or your bujo. talk about your day or an exam or a test you screwed up on because you want to look back on both your mini successes and failures and see how far you’ve come. i’d recommend that. and to add on to that here are a handful of more specific ‘do not’s.

1️⃣ don’t obsess over your ratio. what ratio? the ‘posts : followers : following’ ratio. it’s childish and arbitrary. idk how having a 4:10k:70 ratio is supposed to make you a better person or a better student, but people really do that shit. like wtf. they delete/archive their posts and follow only big accounts (who MUST be mutuals) just to maintain that ratio. it’s ridiculous. and idk how someone can have the time to do all that AND get good grades. achieving the golden ratio at the expense of your own future is not worth it ya so fk that.

2️⃣ don’t obsess over making an ’aesthetic’ feed. i know this is really ironic coming from me bc my feed is just about as constructed and artificial as it gets. but that’s what i’m in it for, and my grades don’t suffer for it. also i want to add that i’m here to make something beautiful for myself, not to fit the prevailing ‘white’ aesthetic. i’ve seen so many people apologise for an ‘ugly’ post or an ‘ugly’ feed and honestly it makes me a little sad because what exactly are they comparing their photos to? real paper isn’t white. paper in natural lighting has a yellow tint to it. muji notebooks have yellowish paper. even white bedsheets don’t always come out white in photos. no one has good lighting 24/7. and honestly idgaf about a ‘clean’ feed which more often than not refers to White Everything which is not only unrealistic but Boring with a capital B. maybe your posts won’t get as many likes as you want it to because of the dim lighting or non-branded stationery or your ‘unaesthetic’ ink-blotted desk that isn’t strewn with potpourri. but if you’re thinking along those lines then you’re already doing it for the numbers, y’know what i mean? fk the numbers! do it for art! do it for yourself! art doesn’t need validation to be art! also from personal experience, the prettiest most artistic accounts are often highly underrated. to quote a friend, ‘people relate to mediocrity’. if you try to copy the big accounts because you want to have that kind of popularity, your feed will look boring and generic and lacklustre, like a knockoff version of theirs. except you don’t have the numbers either. so what does that make your account but the ghost of another person’s? just be yourself and post your own shit it’s better in the long run.

3️⃣ don’t apologise for ‘not posting enough’ or whatever. it’s your account and honestly you don’t owe it to anyone to post anything, esp if you don’t have the time or energy bc of exams or impt life events. also i honestly don’t think anyone cares if you don’t post for more than a week?? tbvh no one really cares or notice???? if posting becomes an obligation then why even run a studygram??? isn’t it supposed to be a fun and relaxing hobby? if you’re posting because you’re not gaining followers or impressions and you don’t even like the post that much so you’re gonna delete it later, WHAT IS THE POINT? pls refer to point 2.

4️⃣ don’t ask for sfs / fff. it may work with some of the nicer, more numbers-oriented people, but from what i know most big accounts really cannot stand it when some random upstart comments / dms asking for a shoutout or for a follow or for them to ‘check out their page’. you will be labelled thirsty or attention-seeking, and they may or may not mock you on their private accounts. it’s just really irritating? like why even create a study account if you’re just trying to play the numbers game? are your grades really going to improve if you can ‘reach’ 1k followers? i have never done sfs / fff bc it just feels dishonest to me. if i shoutout someone it’s bc i think their content is underrated and deserves more attention, not bc i want their followers to follow me in exchange for my followers following them. it’s just so…transactional and dehumanising? i don’t think followers should be treated like mere statistics and i prefer having genuine friendships.

5️⃣ don’t do the ‘follow for a followback and then unfollow’ thing and all of its variations, e.g. ‘follow and then unfollow if you don’t get a followback’, ‘leave a dozen comments hoping for a follow that you won’t reciprocate’, ‘leave a dozen comments hoping for a follow first bc u don’t want to follow without a guaranteed followback’, or the worst: ’calling people out for unfollowing you when you never followed them back because you’re obsessed with maintaining your golden ratio’. it’s unsavoury and off-putting and everyone can see right through it.

6️⃣ don’t post a coloured-out screenshot of your latest post on your story informing people of your new post and asking them to ‘check it out’ or ‘show it some love’ when we all know it means ‘pls like my latest post bc numbers matter to me’. maybe it works if you have a big account bc even if it’s only 0.5% of your viewers who will purposely tap on your profile and like your latest post, that 0.5% is a lot of people which translates to a lot more likes. but if you’re a small account it just looks like you’re imitating the big accounts and being thirsty for followers and likes. it’s not classy. to put it colloquially, damn despo lah don’t liddat can.

1 Kings 5:1-6:38, Acts 7:1-29, Psalms 127:1-5, Proverbs 16:28-30

Today is the 9th day of June welcome to the Daily Audio Bible I’m Brian it is great to be here with you in the center of our week. And this is the first full week of the month of June, not that that matters but we’re in the middle of the first full week. I pay attention to these things because it's day by day step-by-step. And, so, everything that marks the time, the forward progress is a good thing. And it's good to be here with you did today around the Global Campfire as we take this next step forward. In the Old Testament we are reading from the book of First Kings and we’re just getting going. We’re…we’re working through the life and reign of King Solomon who is the son of King David. Solomon is leading Israel really to its finest hour. And that's basically what we’re watching. It's really interesting, because in Solomon's reign, everything that we have been working toward this entire year reaches it’s…it…it's mountaintop…it…it's apex. And then in Solomon's reign there's a slide. Like, we reach the mountaintop and then we start going down the other side. But right now, we are working our way to that apex. Solomon has consolidated all his power. He's got his government structure in place. His wisdom is becoming renowned all over the world. People are actually making Jerusalem a destination. Like, high profile powerful people are making Jerusalem a destination because they want to visit with this wise  King Solomon. And Solomon is going to build a permanent temple for God, something that his father David had wanted to do but wasn't allowed to do. Solomon will be allowed to do that. And, so, let's head in that direction. First Kings chapters 5 and 6 today.

Commentary:

Okay. So, in first Kings Solomon is now indeed building the temple. And we see how they’re gonna get the lumber and how it’s gonna be floated down the ocean and the exchange of payments and all of this. And, so, the temple, the temple of God is being built in Jerusalem, bringing with it a sense of national identity and spiritual identity. And we’ll continue with that story tomorrow.

In the book of Acts, we sort of began a story yesterday, just very very briefly and that story has spilled over into today's reading in the form of a testimony. So, we remember that there were seven deacons that were appointed to more fairly distribute resources and food to…to widows. One of those men was named Stephen. Stephen was out doing his job but he was confronted by Jewish people from other regions and it kinda broke out into a fight. And then there were some accusations about Stephen's commitment to his Jewishness and to his Jewish heritage. He is being associated with Jesus and one of the things about Jesus, one of the accusations against Jesus was that…well…first of all that he was a blasphemer but second of all that he was a lawbreaker, right? The…the…the laws of Moses were being broken or reinterpreted in a way that they didn't accept. So, Stephen's being accused and then he's arrested. And, so, now what's happening is Stephen is giving his testimony in his own defense. And what we should notice is that what Stephen is saying is basically a review of the story that we've read from the beginning of the year. He's retracing the steps by retelling the origin story of the Hebrew people and by doing this he’s proving not only that he knows the story but that this is his own heritage. There's some very very important things going on here. People who were following the Nazarene or “the way”, the way of Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus indeed was crucified, and everybody knows that. There are still people following his teachings, though that truly did believe He was a good teacher and a good man and a prophet of God, and there are people who are following after the ways of Jesus, but at this point, at the origin, the beginning, the flashpoint of the church, this is very, very centered in the Hebrew culture. So, the Nazarenes teachings can theoretically be tolerated as long as they stay in the context of Judaism. And the earliest believers were Jews. Jesus was a Jew. Everyone who penned anything in the New Testament was also a Jew. And, I mean, there are generally scholarly disputes that have always been going on about authorship of certain books. And we can…we can point like to the book of Hebrews and go like, “well…you don't know that. You can't make that statement because we don't know who the author of the book of Hebrews.” But, like the book of Hebrews is to Hebrews. So, it would be really hard for it to not have been written by a Jew because the whole context at all in that book is a Hebrew context. So, Stephen's arrested and he's being questioned and he’s…he’s choosing to show his Jewishness because as the church began it was coming from that context from that region from those people and outward into the world. And, so, you can follow this Rabbi Jesus, you can…can follow this person’s teachings as long as you obey the Mosaic law and follow the customs of Judaism. Jesus was accused. Stephen is being accused of not doing that. This will eventually come to a head. And we’ll get there soon enough, but it's important to just realize it is a Hebrew context from which this story springs. We are mostly all Gentile people who believe in Jesus in the world today. Like vastly more Gentile than Jewish, and yet we can't approach the good news without the Hebrew context, or it doesn't make any sense. So with Stephen being arrested we see some early rumblings, some of the early unsettling reverberations of what is to come as this new thing that God is doing upon the earth through Jesus Christ begins to take hold, begins…well…begins to form and become a tsunami that spreads throughout all of the earth. We also have a really good opportunity, and I point this out every year when we get to the story of Stephen, we have a really good opportunity because his testimony is…is review of the stories that we have read. So, it gives us an opportunity to quickly go back and kind of catch-up to where we are. At the end of this…and I’ll bet most of you already know, at the end of this we’ll meet somebody who is around all this testimony and all that's going on around Stephen. He is a zealous Pharisee, very devoutly attempting to become righteous before God by obeying the law and doing what he believes God is commanding and also defending God. He is a student of Gamaliel, and his name is Saul and he will eventually know…be known as the apostle Paul. But when we meet him, and we meet him in this story he wants nothing to do with Jesus. Actually, that's not true. He does want something to do with Jesus. His mission is to blot out the name and memory of Jesus from the earth and from God's people, the Jewish people. And, so, he wants to round up these followers of the Nazarene these people that, maybe they’re being tolerated by the greater community, but for Saul these are…these are heretics. These are people that are on the outer boundaries. They need to be rounded up and punished and silenced and this teaching of this person, Jesus, needs to go away. And, so, we’ll see that develop in the coming days.

And then lastly, let's just look at the proverb again. It’s three sentences. Sentence number one: Destructive people produce conflict. So, I mean that's ½ a sentence. That’s ½ a sentence but if we stop at that half a sentence and just go, “okay. When I am observing conflict in the world, the voice of wisdom instructs there is…there’s destructive people involved identifying that…just the knowledge of it is helpful but then the sentence is completed. So, “destructive people produce conflict. Gossip’s alienate close friends.” That last one is something that we probably already know, and it's very destructive and causes conflict, right? So, gossip in this sentence is very dangerous. It causes destruction and conflict and alienates close friends. I mean, we can just take that one. In fact, let's just take that one. If you want to go back and read the other two sentences, that's Proverbs 16:28 through 30 today. Let’s just stay there. The things that we say, truly have power and truly need to be selected carefully.

Prayer:

Father, that is something we also know. We know this. It's just hard to practice it, to do it consistently because how we respond to just about anything very much is affected by the emotional state that we’re in, what's going on within us. And, so, how we respond to something usually is because of what button got pressed within us and that button is attached to all kinds of stuff inside of our psyches. And, so, we’re not always seek wisdom in the moment. And yet we can cultivate that, we can build that into our lives so that we think before we speak, before we gossip, before we alienate close friends, before we produce conflict, before we’re a destructive person. Come Holy Spirit into that we pray. In the name of Jesus, we ask. Amen.

Hey this is Matt from Eastern Washington I was just calling in again really quick just for prayer or encouragement for Becky in Texas. I was listening to the February 22nd podcast for Daily Audio Bible and you were talking about a blended family and just being exhausted and tired and, you know, your husband's a first responder. You know, so I don't know what's kind of struggles you guys are going through but, you know, my wife and I are both first responders. We both work law enforcement. You know, I don't know if your husband works law enforcement or EMS or as a firefighter but any…any one of those professions, you know, it…it takes a toll on people. So, anyways, Father god, You know I…I just want to lift Becky up to You and…and her family up to You and just pray that that You can help her, and that You can help them find some sort of where for healing in their marriage and to just restore Becky's strength and…and that You can show her that having faith in You and…and seeking You for that strength can help get her through all this when she doesn't think that she has anything left. Father God I…I just pray that You can help Becky's husband, You know, see that she is exhausted and soften his heart and allow him to help her through these struggles and to reach out to help when he's struggling. In Jesus’ name. Amen. Becky just look for God for that strength that's all I've been able to do with my stuff. Bye.

Good morning DABC this is Vicki from Ohio I'm reaching out to Vincent from Connecticut this morning. His message really touched my heart. There are so many of us out here that are struggling to find our mate. We go through it so slow. The process is so slow, and healing takes time. I too cannot find a partner that wants to be with me. I always get excited at the beginning and get lots of promises and then I am left behind. God watches over us. He does heal us. It takes so long though sometimes. Vincent, I pray that you keep praying and asking God and that He will provide a woman for you that is deserving and loves you as you can love her. I pray this for everyone out there searching and hoping and desiring their ultimate soulmate through Christ. I pray for myself. I pray for Vincent, and I pray for each one of you out there looking. I wanted to take a minute to pray for Andrew who called in asking for prayer over… He’s 21 years old and I just wanted to take a minute to…to tell you that I remember being 21 years old and in the bowel of sin. I’m 35 now but the feelings that you're feeling, it's a pivotal moment in your life and you are in the right spot, and I wish that I would have been 21 years old listening to the Daily Audio Bible and listening to…listening to people pray for each other. You've got the world ahead of you. Keep your head in the word and look to God. And when it feels like there's way too much sin in your life, we've just finished watching the perfect person and we've just finished watching the people closest to Him sin, including Peter. You're in the right spot. Focus your life where you need to be, where you want to point and keep that part of your life pointed towards Jesus. Keep it here in prayer with people. I ask that you pray for my sons Tyler, Ryan, and Logan, that their heart may be opened and remove the hardening that has occurred through childhood, through rough times. Hi, my name is Angie from Colorado Springs calling. It's my second time calling. Thank you guys for praying for me last month or maybe it was April. I'm still needing of prayer for confidence and clarity, depression, anxiety and happiness and laughter. I've been sober two years and in this time I have changed so much for the better and have a lot of goals set but in the meantime my son has pretty much not accepted me anymore as his mom. And I got into addiction when he was 18. Before that we were close as ever. He's now 28 and we've been very close throughout this whole time of my life, but I just didn't do the things I needed to do for him as a mom. So, he has a new mom in his late age which I’m grateful for because their Christians, they love him as far as I know. Anyways, I'm heartbroken. I'm…I'm…just heartbroken. So, he's always been so close to me, and such a good son, and I've been a good mom believe it or not even through my hard times of addiction. Anyways, I just…I can't find any pleasure in life anymore and it's because I'm feeling like it's a death losing a son that you love…
