Russ Pizza - Manhattan Ave in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, NY
Tumblr media
I went to Brooklyn Bazaar recently to catch Trapped Under Ice for the first time since 2011 and decided to check out one of the higher rated pizzerias in the area. Russ Pizza was walking distance away, open 'til 11, and had a pretty good rating online, so it seemed like a solid place to try. The slices here were gigantic. I'm glad I only ended up getting the BBQ chicken because I wasn't even able to finish that. The service was kinda slow and I felt like I was waiting forever for my slice, but it did come out super hot all the way through, which a lot of places don't do right when the slices are this big. They also didn't skimp out on the chicken because it was loaded with it and it had a nice juicy flavor and it mixed nicely with the BBQ sauce. It was just so big that after a while I was kinda over the BBQ. I was also really impressed by how well this slice held together. Even though it was so dense, it didn't fall apart at all. And this included the crust which wasn't super hard and crackly or anything. Overall, a solid slice of pizza, even if it was a little too big, and at $6 for that and an orange soda, it honestly wasn't that pricey for the city. Worth checking out at least once!

Best customary USA dishes: Top 10 must-attempt American nourishments
1. Crusty fruit-filled treat
The idiom is "American as crusty fruit-filled treat" for an explanation: this sweet treat is a public foundation. Disregard anyone who will attempt to disclose to you walnut or key lime is better, since they are lying. The straightforward blend of sugar, rich baked good and tart cut apples creates a sweet so unprecedented individuals have dedicated their whole lives to idealizing it. For an especially superb model, attempt the crusty fruit-filled treat with included green chilies at the Pie-O-Neer, in Pie Town, New Mexico. Telephone ahead and Kathy Knapp, oneself announced "Pie Lady of Pie Town", will spare you a cut.
for update information please follow the link https://fastfoodmenuprice.co.uk/
2. The Hamburger
Each and every American will have an alternate thought regarding where to locate the best cheeseburger in the nation, going from cheap food on the West Coast (In-N-Out Burger) to top notch food in New York (The Spotted Pig). In any case, just one spot is perceived by the Library of Congress similar to the origination of burgers:
New Haven, Connecticut. It was 1900 and the foundation was Louis' Lunch, run by one Louis Lassen. Today his incredible grandson, Jeff Lassen, guides the boat, which actually serves burgers produced using five-meat mix and cooked in exceptionally old cast iron flame broil.
3. Mollusk Chowder
It is essentially illicit to visit Boston without attempting New England shellfish chowder. The fragrant soup is sold all over the place, and it looks ghastly, being white and knotty. However, one taste is everything necessary to begin to look all starry eyed at. Whoever chose to blend the quahog shellfish in with delicate potatoes, salted pork, substantial cream and spices is an all out virtuoso. There are numerous approaches to eat it, yet you should go full scale and get a bread bowl at the Atlantic Fish Co., where the culinary experts cut out a depression in a new boule, pour in the radiant juice, at that point set the top back on. Consumable dinnerware.
Tumblr media
4. Bagel and Lox
Attempting to limit New York down to a solitary agent cooking is a waste of time. A Nathan's sausage? Pastrami from Katz's? An awful cup of cafe espresso? How about we offer appreciation to the city's solid Jewish populace and go with bagels and lox, an end of the week staple on numerous Manhattan tables. Logical examinations have been directed attempting to work out why the New York bagel rules over all others; legend credits it to the water. Whatever the reason, head to Russ and Daughters on the Lower East Side and disclose to them you need a choice of smoked fish, cream cheeses and, in case you're feeling streak, caviar.
5. Thicker style Pizza
Pizza in Chicago looks and tastes changed. The dish is profound, as the name recommends, which means the outside ascents high and takes into consideration a course gagging volume of cheddar and pureed tomatoes. Obviously, they consider it a "pie". It isn't for the carefree and should just be endeavored while wearing dull garments or a huge napkin. For an especially true supper, pair the pie with sweet pop. You may get a kick out of the chance to do this at an Uno Pizzeria, which professes to have developed the Italian American half breed dish in 1943.
6. Drop Biscuits and Sausage Gravy
A roll in America implies, basically, a flaky scone frequently made with grease and buttermilk. In spots, for example, Montana, where individuals consume energy taking a shot at horse farms, scones are had at breakfast covered in a thick white sauce that is studded with pieces of hotdog. It surely gets you up toward the beginning of the day. For a great wind, attempt a melodic rendition in Austin, Texas, where Biscuits and Groovy offers shifts with names like "the Aretha Franklin" (maple bacon, colby jack cheddar).
Tumblr media
7. Texas Barbecue
Australians may get a kick out of the chance to stir up a barbie toward the end of the week, however Texans live and pass on by the training. Mesquite smoked meats and softening rubs are regular fixations, and it isn't exceptional to go to football match-ups and discover individuals have carried whole ranges to the parking areas that are worth as much as five or even 10,000 dollars – a distraction called "closely following". For superb brisket, head to the Dallas Farmers Market, remain in line for somewhat, at that point discover a seat at Pecan Lodge. Likewise great are the pork joins, pulled pork, hamburger ribs and collard greens.
8. Hominy Grits
Southern food appears to exist in its own universe, and a whole rundown could be composed simply zeroing in on things like chicken and waffles (truly, you read that effectively). So maybe it's a smart thought to simply go with one of the nuts and bolts: hominy corn meal, which is basically corn processed into a harsh powder and afterward bubbled up with margarine or bacon oil. It sounds harsh yet it's really radiant. For evidence, attempt Blossom Restaurant in Charleston, South Carolina, which offers Geechie Boy corn meal with shrimp and andouille frankfurter. Pair it with brussels grows and improved ice tea.
9. Tacos
Los Angeles is a city with a taqueria on each traffic intersection, essentially. With so numerous Spanish-speakers it's conceivable to discover anything from oily nachos on Venice Beach to stunning Michoacan-style goat stews. For a decent sampler, overlook the chain stuff and attempt El Huarache Azteca, a small, straightforward restaurant in the area of Highland Park, where menus run the full array from fajitas to mole verde and "flautas" – singed fresh taquitos loaded down with chicken. (Guacamole is an easy decision.) Keep at the top of the priority list that Mexican food and Tex-Mex are two altogether different things.
10. Thanksgiving
So "thanksgiving" isn't in fact a food, yet it's such an incredible date on the American culinary schedule (the fourth Thursday of every November), that it should be recognized. Authoritatively, the occasion is about loved ones, yet everyone knows it's truly about turkey, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, green bean meal and grumbles. While the plans, as most things on this rundown, appear to be uniquely crafted to give you a cardiovascular failure or diabetes, they're all heavenly, and taken together make one of the most silly and charming galas you would actually join in. Numerous cafés offer a menu, for the most extraordinary choice is consistently a companion's home, regardless of whether they consume the winged animal.

Melody Stein grew up in restaurants.
Not only did her parents own and operate a Chinese eatery in San Francisco, but the family — all of them foodies — also constantly went out to eat. Stein still remembers the excitement of sampling Japanese, Vietnamese and French food for the first time. There was only one thing she wanted to do when she reached college age: attend the California Culinary Academy. Then, she wanted to open her own restaurant.
That’s when her deafness almost defeated her dreams.
“[The Academy] called my mom and said we can’t accept her application because she’s deaf,” Stein, 45, signed to The Washington Post via an interpreter in a recent interview. “What if they were in the kitchen trying to yell, ‘Out of the way!’ with hot soup? They viewed me as a liability."
It took her about 20 years, but Stein proved them wrong. Today, she co-owns and runs Mozzeria, a Neapolitan-style pizzeria in San Francisco, with her husband, Russ Stein, 47, who is also deaf. But it’s not just a pizza joint. In part to ensure others do not suffer what Melody did, the couple employ only deaf individuals to run their pizzeria and its two associated food trucks.
Now, the Steins’ pizzeria-with-a-purpose is coming to Washington. Bolstered by an investment of several million dollars from the Communication Service for the Deaf Social Venture Fund, Mozzeria will open a second restaurant at 1300 H St. NE in spring 2020.

I’m killing time at work so I figured I'd post a list of some of the NYC food spots on my list. Of course this list is gigantic, not divided up by neighborhoods at all, and doesn't even include everything as I decided to cut it off at 100. But not even my top 100 because I feel I've already posted about a bunch of those spots and you can just search for them. Also I’m not going to give you any context or what I want off these menus. Just know that something here looked like something I need to have in my my mouth. Given the size of this incomplete and forever growing list you see what I mean when I say I can make grown men cry. What can I say except I'm hungry.

- PARTY, NOT WAR. -

1 transported, 1 injured after crane touches live power line in Fort Lauderdale FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (WSVN) – A crane that touched a live power line in Fort Lauderdale caused an electrical explosion, which landed a worker in the hospital and injured another. The crew was working on a building along Himmarshee Street in Fort Lauderdale when they came in contact with the live line on Wednesday. “That individual was transported to Broward Health in serious but stable condition,” Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Stephen Gollan said. “The crane had come in contact with high-voltage lines — approximately 138,000 volts.” Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue said it was fortunate that more people were not injured, and the injured worker was alert and talking on the way to the hospital. They also said if it hadn’t been for a nearby Fort Lauderdale Police officer, the injured man could have been much worse. “He got out of his patrol car, came over to rescue the individual that had fallen, had been electrocuted next to the crane,” said Gollan. “He assisted that individual getting them across the street. Luckily, he was able to get him across the street before any additional explosions took place, and the power was secured to the area.” Misty Collier’s car was parked across the street from the explosion. Her back windshield was shattered due to the flying debris. “It was like a really loud explosion, and then some guy fell on the ground and yelled really loud,” said Collier. “We all kind of got up to see, to make sure someone was calling someone. All the asphalt and stuff that was under the crane just blew up.” Chunks of asphalt could be seen scattered across the street. “I was right here at the window, so I saw basically everything, and the debris from the concrete exploding everywhere,” witness Mikeria Russ said. “I just thought the worst, you know, concrete flying and hitting someone,” witness Tina Lucero said. “It could have been a lot worse than it was.” The crane was apparently trying to lift a piece of equipment to the roof of an adjacent pizzeria at the time of the incident. Florida Power & Light crews responded to fix the damage, and power has been restored to the area. The cause of the explosion remains under investigation. Copyright 2021 Sunbeam Television Corp. Be', potevi aspettare che l'orario finisse e poi le parlavi, no? direte voi. Dovevo invitarla fuori, davvero. E chi me li dava, i soldi? Ti serve qualcuno? Ti serve qualcuno per lavorare?" (Giordano Meacci, Fuori stagione) _______________  L'Evento. Come erano state montate, così venivano smontate. (Valerio Mattioli, All'alba delle notti bianche)

You said you want fluff so imma give you fluff. Can I have the band spending quality dad time with phase 1 Noodle? Like bringing her to the beach, getting ice cream on the boardwalk, etc? It doesn't matter to me if it's headcanons or an imagine. Thank you!! ❤
Yay!! Fluffy platonic sibling bonding headcanons! I’ll do some for each of the guys~
All headcanons set in Phase One. Most of these are fluffy, but there’s a few serious bonding moments, too. So this turned out kind of long.
Murdoc:
Murdoc would rarely be seen out in public with Noodle without the rest of the band, and even though he definitely wasn’t the best with children, he always had a soft spot for her deep down in his cold, black heart.
Unlike Russel, he always let her watch R rated films. Plus some banned ones like Cannibal Holocaust. Even Murdoc himself was surprised by how much she could stomach some of these films.
Whenever Murdoc got sick from drinking too much or had an overdose of god knows what, Noodle would be the one there to comfort him while he was throwing up. She even put him to bed a few times. he wouldn’t admit it, but he was always grateful.
When she was ten and the band were living at Kong Studios, he let her get away with murder. Literally. One night he took her out zombie hunting in the rotten, dead-infested landfill they lived next to. He taught her how to shoot a gun (Even though she already knew) and took out a whole horde in the dead of the night, Murdoc armed with a shotgun and Noodle with a Katana.
At two in the morning after arriving back to the studio covered in blood and the stench of the landfill, they were greeted in the lobby by a scowling Russel. “And where have you two been?“ Russel looked at Murdoc disapprovingly. “Pfft. None o’ your business, Fatboy.“ Murdoc scoffed and stormed off, but not before shooting Noodle a proud smile that read, “Ya did good, kid“. In what little English Noodle knew at the time, she said to Russ, “I’m fine. I go take shower.“
Murdoc and Noodle never told the other two they went zombie killing that night.
2D:
Noodle and 2D would have zombie movie marathons every fortnight. Even when they’d watch Evil Dead or The Living Dead films for the umpteenth time, Noodle never grew tired of them.
Being the closest to her age, Noodle found it easier to connect to 2D like he was an older brother, whereas Russel and Murdoc where more like paternal figures.
Similarly, they regularly played Resident Evil and Silent Hills games together. They were both Horror nuts.
Noodle taught 2D how to meditate properly to battle anxiety and stress. It helped them out when she was worn out from performing or doing interviews and when 2D was getting shit from Murdoc. This is where their ‘Zen bond‘ came from.
They’d constantly blame each other for a mess that was caused, be it on a tour bus or in the studio. When Russel asked why a room was trashed, 2D would shrug and say, “Dunno. Noodle must of did it.” She would angrily yell back at him. “I’m a tidier person than you are and you know it!!“ In Japanese. If he was feeling prickish, he’d tease her about it. “Oh, I’m sorry love. I don’t understand what you’re trying to tell me“, He’d say with a shit eating grin. When they started bickering, Russel would walk away saying, “I don’t care which one of your did it. Just get this shit cleaned up.“
While they were on tour, if Noodle was up at night and couldn’t sleep for whatever reason, 2D would be the one to comfort her. They’d try to talk to the best of their abilities, what with the language barrier, but they’d always share with each other their anxieties and fears. And they’d always understand.
Russel:
Russel would be the one out of the three guys to do the “dad“ stuff with Noodle. When recording the first album in Jamaica, they’d hang out on the beach a lot and listen to native tunes.
Russel tried to teach her some basic English, but at the same time made an effort to learn some basic Japanese. For this, Noodle found it the easiest to communicate language wise with Russel.
Considering Russel was the most normal looking of the three guys (As long as you ignored the glowing white eyes) and the one with the best social etiquette (Murdoc and 2D were not well socialized to say the least) Russel would be the one to take Noodle out. It helped that they managed to be rather anonymous.
One time they were recognized; by a couple of rather attractive female fans at a cafe. They told Russel how much they loved him and Noodle, saying how adorable she was. One of them said to him, “You are such a gentleman! Why don’t we get to hear you as much in interviews? You’re so good with Noodle too.“ Russel admitted to himself that for once he was liking the attention. In corner of his eye, when Noodle was getting some water from the cafe counter, she gave him a cheesy grin and a thumbs up.
Later she said to him, “They like you“. Russel grinned, but denied it. “Those girls? No, no, no, no. Baby girl, they just like the band.“ Noodle grinned and pulled out a sheet of paper she found on the table. Russel looked at it. It was a number from one of the girls, with her name on it. Russel looked at her, shocked. She nodded at him. In her best English and a cheesy grin she said, “Thank me later.“
One time when Russel was out with her, after they’d seen a movie and went to get some pizza, they came across a confrontational arsehole. This guy had probably been drinking, and he clearly had no idea who they were. While Noodle went to the restroom, this guy came up to Russel and sneered. “So. It’s pretty obvious that girl’s not your daughter.“ He paused. “So what the fuck you doin with her then, huh?“ Russel fumed, but didn’t want to make a scene. He simply replied, “I’ll have you know that I’m her legal guardian.“ It wasn’t technically true, but it was his best bet at shutting this idiot up. “GUARDIAN?!“ He bellowed, making a scene in front of the whole restaurant. “Is no one else here SEEING THIS?! Is this what this bloody country’s coming to? A black man raising an Asian girl, really?” This guy was not only drunk, but an idiotic bigot. Russel stood up. “Listen man, I’m gonna have to ask you to get the hell out of my face.“ The guy wasn’t deterred by Russel’s size and strength. “Or what? Or what, huh? Whatcha gonna do, ya big- UGH!!“ Before this guy knew it, he was clocked in front of everyone, by none other than Noodle. In very clear English, she proudly said, “I don’t need a real dad. Russel is my dad.“ With that, the two of them grabbed their takeaways and left the pizzeria.
They didn’t talk on their drive back to Kong. When they got back, they remained quiet for a little bit longer while eating. Eventually, Russel broke the silence. “Did you mean that?“ Noodle looked up. “Nani?“ Russel sighed. “Did you mean it when… when you said I was your dad?“ Noodle said didn’t say a thing. She smiled warmly at Russel and nodded. Russel smiled back. “I’m proud of you, Baby girl.“ “For what?” She asked him. “For everything. You’re amazing. You do know you’re the only damn thing that matters in this band, right? You keep us all together.“ She grinned brightly. “Thank you, Russel. I’m proud of you too.“

Melody Stein wanted only one thing when she became an adult: to open her own restaurant. But her deafness almost defeated her dreams. Her dream school, the California Culinary Academy, told her they couldn't accept her application because she’s deaf. "They viewed me as a liability," Stein, 45, signed to The Post via an interpreter in a recent interview. Read more by clicking the link in our bio. (Photo via Clare Cassidy Photography) https://ift.tt/2xFFXOv
