Angelic Writes
“Angelic Writes”
Angelic
But not an
Angel.
Have you come to
Hear my sins?
Or witness them instead?
Because
I’ve succumbed to
Your charms
And given up
This Earthly body,
To float on your lullabies
And drown in your eyes.
To become a beautiful
Wreckage of dark and light.
I have given up my shadows
To bask in the light from
Your heaven and
Dare to dream of a
Life reshaped and reborn.
You have made me
Dream in poetry,
And now I’m
Drunk off of your voice.
And bewitched by
your love.
So,
Mark me till I can’t
Speak and
Touch me till
I fly.

//escapril// NAPOWRIMO: Day 22
#LetsEscapril is 22 days in and today brings a new chapter in my #originalstory told through #poetry to honor #Napowrimo - and this chapter is about second chances in a soft way.
Intimacy
perfection
your smile, my laugh, sigh
it felt right
you felt right
there was something kind in you
then it fell apart
pure regret
hurt by things we said
i don’t know
how could we
weakened by trauma and pain
what else would we do
try again
focused on wellness
and on fun
just on us
a redo based on our needs
this time we can breathe
