Damn it all, I lost someone's ask

I saved it to draft (so I could deal with it at more length) and it vanished.

The person was saying they wanted to tank up on Young Wizards printed books but were having trouble, due to unavailability of all but "the first one", and prices for both hardcovers and trade paperbacks being all over the place at independent suppliers.

Briefly: this has been a problem for nearly the last decade, and more so since the books' US publisher (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt) was ingested by another larger publisher.

Distribution on these books has always been dodgy, and frankly it's become more so over time, as their publisher keeps changing hands, staff leave or are fired, and sales staffs turn over. Additionally, all the books have appeared in multiple formats over the years, and not all of the books necessarily in all of those.

Confused yet? I know I am, and they're my damn books!

Dealing strictly with the Harcourt editions here: the first three appear only in mass-market paperbacks, with covers by two different artists. The fourth one then appears in mass market and an unusual small-format hardcover. Then (when the series took off with that publisher) all the MMPBs were repackaged, and (starting with the fifth one) were preceded by Harcourt hardcovers. Additionally, as the books were doing quite well in the early 2000s, the sales staff thought it would be a good idea if there were "digest format" editions aimed at younger readers. (These books were only physically larger than MMPBs, with bigger print: no text was ever Reader's-Digest-style abridged/condensed.) And there were only six of these, as the later books were thought to be "more adult" and hence not a good fit for this format.

After that, the remaining three books all went to hardcover-and-paperback, usually a year apart. The digest editions were allowed to gradually go out of print; so were the hardcovers, as demand for them fell off. And that's where we are at the moment, with (as far as I can tell) the MMPBs only being reprinted in small amounts when stocks fall low enough to warrant it.

This situation doesn't really support the books being easy to find. Additionally, older editions of the hardcovers from previous publishers (and older trade paperbacks, ditto) are still out there, and can be had... but at what will look like weirdly high prices. The early Dell hardcovers of So You Want To Be A Wizard, Deep Wizardry and High Wizardry, due to their small print runs, are rare, hard to find, and usually go for hundreds of dollars. (This link at Abebooks will show you what the situation's currently like for the Delacorte hardcover first edition of So You Want To Be A Wizard.) For a long time there was no US hardcover of A Wizard Abroad until SF Book Club published one set from the text of the UK Transworld/Corgi edition. (sigh) And so on. (There's a page over at the Young Wizards site dealing with this wild assortment of covers and formats.)

Now, all that said: Over at Signed Books Direct is our storefront for copies of both the newer and older books. Except for the rarest ones, we sell them at cover price (and are happy to do so, because FFS nobody needs this many of their own books). :) I acquired a lot of these from Harcourt when word came down that warehouse space was tight, stock was being winnowed, and I could have these on the cheap—or, it was heavily implied, they would be pulped. And as someone who due to a weird confluence of circumstances had half the print run of her (strongly-selling!) first novel pulped in the warehouse, the mere word, even after forty years, makes my blood run a bit cold. So I laid out the necessary cash and gave those books a home. And when people find ones they want, I sell them on to new homes with great pleasure.

So the thing for you to do (O person whose ask was in an evil hour eaten by Tumblr) is use the SBD contact email on this page to query me about what you're looking for. I'm presently in the middle of reorganizing the store's inventory so it reflects what we've actually got. The website's about to be reorganized to reflect what's on the shelves in the boot room, but that's not gonna happen this week.. so don't take what you see on the site seriously. Query me about what you're after, and as soon as I've had a rummage in the shelves, I'll get back to you.

Feral Plagas!Leon but he acts more like an energetic cat that was just given catnip. The pills used to suppress the Plagas growth alongside the miniscule inactive viruses from his previous adventures just toasts the bug's original nature. It's relationship with Leon becomes akin to Venom with the mind of a stubborn toddler.

Don't give it sweets and the guy will be bouncing around like a lunatic until you catch him on a tree covered in fresh sap. Leon arches his back like the Halloween Black Cat with his tail plus spike spines flared up if spooked. Becomes a pure chittering mess if given anything that contains honey or maple syrup. Meat honey from vulture bees is Plagas!Leon's favorite so it's best to keep stock.

Complete and total hoarder. He loves to collect stuff in this feral state akin to a bower bird. If it gets Leon's attention, then it's added to his makeshift hive like nest. Man has a few scratching posts and something very durable to chew on. Got a tendency of stealing animals like rabbits or chickens for the purpose of being pets.

Any nest Plagas!Leon makes is a mix between old clothes, bedding materials, and a unique type of saliva he can produce. The slime is very adhesive that it'll put even the strongest glues to shame. Leon's saliva has minor healing properties.

It's usually made in a web form than liquid to heavily reduce the adhesiveness and make it easier to remove. He can also make a powerful acid with the purpose of making pathways. Leon has quite a number hidden in Spain with only one not made during a feral episode.

He is absolutely embarrassed once a feral episode comes to an end as he's fully conscious for every moment. Especially since tantrums are a given in this state and he'll wreck furniture out of spite. Saddler trying to control the parasite just pisses it off instead so Plagas!Leon is even more vicious when fighting the cult.

In fact, he will even EAT the other Plagas as rage lets loose cannibalistic tendencies from its altered nature. A good chunk of insects do feed on other members of their species so don't be surprised if its true here. Leon later admits that they taste like chicken much to Ashley's disgust and Luis' morbid fascination.

Zoomies happen a lot even more so during a feral episode. His body tends to produce too much energy and Leon has to expel it. A human sized hamster wheel or hamster ball is always brought up with Ashley even thinking of a design. Leon wasn't amused.

Completely territorial especially when a huge threat such as Krauser is nearby. Half the time Feral Plagas!Leon will cut down the threat or get his 'swarm' to safety. (Leads to a Luis lives situation) Ashley and Luis are HIS, same goes for anyone else that he can trust and likes.

Feral episodes has a 50/50 chance that he'll shift into 'bug mode'. His appearance heavily morphing to an insectoid yet oddly reptilian visage. It's completely random so what comes come. Plagas!Leon still acts the same although he might carry Ashley or Luis by the scruff of their shirt with his fangs.

His abilities are heavily amplified in bug mode than just size alone. Leon's acid can melt steel than just rock, his adhesive saliva now hardens into a cocoon like shell, and any webbing produced is able to treat more extensive injuries such as 2nd degree burns. You can say he's more of a tank or sentinel from roleplaying games in this state.

Overall, the man is just relieved that he isn't going to hurt anyone innocent thanks to his new infected status. Although Leon will never tell anyone about the time he almost ate a Karen's annoying corgi. Guy's Plagas was hangry that day.

Morning Glory [aki hayakawa x gn!reader]

Warnings: mentions of excessive alcoholic intake, some strong language, ooc, and fluffy goodness.

A pounding headache was the first thing that Aki felt when he blearily opened his eyes. Another night spent drinking with Himeno and the others in Special Division 4, and he was paying the price for being a fucking lightweight, again. Shit. He blinked, scrunching his brows in confusion. Wait a minute.

The ceiling in his bedroom was an off-white, and the curtains were always closed. The futon is big enough for an extra person. But the ceiling he’s looking at is a shade of sunflower-yellow, and there were streaks of sunlight emitting from a window. He feels cramped. His cobalt-blue orbs widened before he pushed himself up, only to feel a wave of vertigo wash over his body. Looking down, he saw that he’s still in his uniform minus his jacket, a baby blue blanket draped over his hips, plus a plastic green bucket on the floor.

A couch. He’s slept on a leather couch in someone else’s apartment but where the fuck is he? And why is there a bucket right next to him? Where the hell is he?!

Shrringh.

Aki whipped his head upwards, seeing someone come out from the window wearing jean overalls over a turquoise tank top. His mind begins to spin. Ah… so the window is a sliding glass door to someone’s veranda. But who…

“Mornin’ sunshine.” The stranger greeted cheerily, their bare feet smacking against the wooden floor and away from the veranda, the sunlight bouncing off of their back as the small shade of darkness revealed a face Aki was very familiar with. “Sleep well?” [First Name] asked, cradling a green watering can in their hands. “I didn’t wake ya up, did I? My bad. I was tryin’ to be quiet while I watered my morning glories but that darn door is gettin’ harder and harder to open and close. I’ll need to get a hold of the landlord on Monday to see what they can do about it.”

Fantastic. Aki thought bitterly. Not only do I get fucking hammered, but I’m in their apartment? That’s great. An absolutely wonderful first impression to a co-worker who’s known to be extremely professional at Public Safety who just happens to be the person I’m crushing on. And they actually smile. ShitFuckMe.

“Hayakawa-san?”

Cheeks burning, he ignored the rising heat and tried to cover it up with a cough. “What happened?” He asked. [First Name] shrugged their shoulders.

“The usual, I guess? Himeno-san challenged you to a drinking contest and you lost after four beers. I brought you back here since my place was the closest an’ so you could sleep it off.”

“And the bucket?”

“In case ya throw up. Himeno-san was here the last time she got drunk and…well, she tried finding the bathroom and ended up regurgitating all over the place. I don’t wanna have a repeat incident, if you catch my drift.”

He nodded. “That makes sense. Do you - Could I trouble you for some water?” The back of his throat was itching. He really wanted to have a morning cigarette and some coffee. But could he even smoke here? He was already being a nuisance already, maybe he could hold back on the coffin nail until he got his shit together and was on the street? He’d been lucky that his flat allowed smoking so long as it wasn’t inside.

[First Name] blinked. “Sure, I can do that. Ya want some coffee too?”

“That’d be great.” He said.

“Corgi, black cat, or purple kraken?”

“Excuse me?”

[First Name] repeated what they said. He stared at them in confusion before he said ‘black cat’, whatever that is supposed to mean. They nodded, a smile still on their face as they turned away from him and towards the back of the apartment. Aki’s eyes followed their form to a small kitchenette. They placed the watering can on top of the marble breakfast bar before shuffling towards the cupboard, revealing three shelves of coffee cups, each more unique than the last. Realization hit Aki when [First Name] pulled out a white cup stamped with a black cat sitting on the edge of a crescent moon, then another one in the shape of a pink octopus. Ah. So that’s what they were referring to.

When he saw them grounding coffee in a hand crank grinder that’s similar to the one he had at home, he turned his attention away to glance around what is most certainly the main living room. There wasn’t a television nor a kotatsu, but behind the couch was a bookshelf crammed haphazardly with texts. There were two, three more stacks on the floor, leading to the half-cracked door of the master bedroom. In front of him was a coffee table with octopus-shaped drink coasters and a folded up newspaper.

[First Name]’s reputation in Public Safety was not just being a competent devil hunter; Makima-san trusted very few individuals with handling the paperwork that circulated between her division and the higher-ups, let alone relay any last minute changes to certain documents. [First Name] was an asset to his supervisor, and the other divisions to ensure that there is a consistent flow of their endless paper trails. Should anything be missing or was not turned in on time, you would be getting a visit from an irate [First Name] to please hand everything over or a lecture on the importance of punctuality, whichever came first.

Their desk is rumored to be decorated with mermaid paperweights, feathered pens, miniature bonsai trees, and even a lava lamp. Anyone who has seen this mystical area was absolutely silent on the matter, even the newbies under Himeno’s care. The most common item seen around the office were octopus-shaped sticky notes; they were placed on either documents that needed to be corrected and returned promptly, or as little thank-you notes taped to ice/hot coffees. A little gift of gratitude to devil hunters who risked their lives on a particularly difficult mission.

He, Himeno, and the rest of the group received a ‘gift’ after their scuffle with the Eternity Devil a while back.

Throwing the blanket off of him, Aki stood up on wobbly feet and walked around the couch to look at the bookshelf. Now that he thought up, he’d occasionally see his coworker carrying a book around the office, but never see them read it. His eyes scanned the shelves. The spines were filled with various subjects; fairy tales, national history, geography, murder mysteries, Osamu Dazai, and a few titles in English.

“See anything ya like?”

Aki jumped a little, swiveling his head to the right to see [First Name] holding a mug and bottled water in either hand. They extended the hand that held the black cat mug to him, the steam and rich scent of dark roasted coffee beans tickling his nose. Murmuring a ‘thank you’ under his breath, Aki practically inhaled the first sip of caffeinated liquid. Sugar and a splash of milk. It’s not what he normally drinks, but he’s not going to complain.

“You’re quite the prolific reader.” He commented, glancing back at the bookshelf then at the stack by his feet. “Do you read a new book every day or something?” He meant it as a light-hearted joke to break the awkward silence, nothing offensive.

When he took another sip of his coffee, he almost spat it out upon hearing [First Name]’s response.

“Pretty much. I mean, I can read about 20,000 words per minute and can recall the contents thanks to my eidetic memory.”

Aki’s brain screeched to a halt. Huh? “You…You can remember what you read and…how many words per minute?”

“20,000. Kinda stinks ‘cause I gotta find more books to read during my down-time since I don’t really watch TV anymore like I used to.”

Aki eyed the bookshelf again, his gaze falling onto a random title. “Then….what happened in the…second act of Romeo and Juliet?” He challenged. “Everything, from start to finish.”

[First Name]’s eyes brightened, then suddenly they rambled on what happened after the star-crossed lovers exchanged vows at the altar, stating odd facts about William Shakespeare, the way he wrote the text, and how all of the parts were played by men, etc.

Aki stared at them, speechless at their comprehension of the text. Great. He thought glumly. Not only is his crush an incredibly gorgeous person but they are also highly intelligent? How in the world could he even impress them in the field besides being a competent devil hunter? Before his thoughts took a more depressing turn, [First Name]’s timid voice reached out to him.

“Uh, sorry.” They mumbled, handing him the bottled water. “Didn’t mean to go off on a tangent like that. It’s just…I really like books, but I keep forgetting some people don’t like to read. Which is fine, I mean, ya gotta have other hobbies to keep yourself sane, ‘specially in the line of work we have. Or an addiction, like Himeno-san said last night.”

“It’s all right, really,” Aki quickly said, taking the offered beverage in his other hand. “There’s nothing wrong with being passionate about something.”

“I guess. Do you have any hobbies?” They asked, tilting their head to the side in a way that was almost cute to the devil hunter. Aki smiled a little.

“No, but I do like to cook.”

[First Name]’s brow rose into their hairline. “Really?” They said, turning on the ball of their heel and walked around towards the couch but kept their eyes on him. “What recipes do you like to cook?”

For the next hour, the two of them talked on the couch. Aki rambled on about what dishes he enjoyed making the most, which ones were the most time-consuming and the best ones to prepare ahead of time so that you could enjoy it the following day if you had to work overtime. By the time he had freshened up and had a second cup of coffee, Aki was ready to leave.

“Thanks again for…everything.” He said, slipping his shoes on by the front door. [First Name] nodded, a small smile on their face as they held up their pink octopus mug.

“No problem. Gotta admit, it was nice talkin’ to ya outside of work hours. You’re very handsome when you’re talking, and confident.”

Aki felt his ears burning. “…Thank you.” He murmured. “If you want, I can teach you a few recipes….when there’s time after hours.” He cursed his burning face, and then the rapid beating of his heart when [First Name]’s smile widened at his words.

“That’d be nice. Get home safely, yeah?”

“Of course.”

Aki then left the apartment, praying to any deity that heard his pleas to calm his mind and body down before he got home. The last thing he needed right now is Power and Denji’s relentless teasing, the little shitheads.

For my valentines day entry, I present pet photos for the pets of the Rainbow Bridge daycare, we have Mr. Dinkles for Biggie, woofer bug for DJ Suki, Gary and Shelliot for Branch, Perky for Poppy, Debbie for Barb, and TBDB who I have named Beat Drop for Trollex. I did some notes for them as if a staff took them but I am so sorry for my crappy english.

Mr Dinkles is a male corgi with his tail still intact, his coat ranges from a dark brown to a light beige with a diamond-shaped mark on his head. His owner, Biggie, wants the sweater he puts on Mr Dinkles to stay on as he has a bad habit of chewing on certain spots and creating bald spots due to his allergies. Mr Dinkles is mostly quiet with the occasional deep bark when he's excited.

Woofer is a female chowchow that is given a dye job every couple of weeks as asked for by her owner Suki. Woofer loves to be groomed and will cooperate in the tub, must be careful when blowdrying her as she tends to try and ear her fur. Training is currently being done as to teach Woofer not to jump up, and to remain calm when around smaller children.

Shelliot and Gary are a female tortoise and a male chameleon, both enjoy each other's company but are also fine separated. Shelliot is due for a shell cleaning, while Gary should be ready to shed soon, keep an eye out for the signs and prepare a shedding box accordingly. Update from owner Branch states that Gary needs to be monitored for possible injury after falling off of the tree in his terrarium.

Perky is a female albino chinchilla who was adopted out four months ago from our adoption center after she was found on the side of the road by the very person who adopted her. Poppy, her new owner has been taking good care of Perky, after weeks of lessons on proper chinchilla care, she was given the green light to adopt. Perky's tail has recovered well after how mangled it was when she was first brought in, the vets suggest it was run over by some vehicle or attacked by a predatory animal.

Debbie is a female bat brought in by a local bat enthusiast, when brought in she described how Debbie was being attacked by the others in her bat roost box. Although the reason for this is unknown the vet suggested that until Debbie was old enough to defend herself, Barb will need to take care of her. The few supplies she didn't have on hand were donated to her and constant checkups were scheduled to make sure Debbie was thriving. According to Barb Debbie came home from a night of flying with a missing chunk from her left ear. Everything healed fine and Debbie is in good health.

Beat Drop is a male axolotl, a rare specimen as his specific coloration is hardly seen in the wild. The owner of Beat Drop, Trollex has stated he has seen a lack of activity lately. Further observation is needed to convey a proper diagnosis. His appetite has not changed and he is in full health, upon further questioning it was suggested for Trollex to get a larger tank for Beat Drop and keep a better eye on the temperature of the water.

what colour are your eyes?: i have (very mild) heterochromia!! they’re mostly green but my left eye has a little brown stripe :) i guess u could call them hazel (or at least the left one) my mom certainly did for ages idk picture below u decide

tell me about your pets/your dream pet: i (well. my family) have an orange cat and a porgi (pitbull corgi mix [he’s really just a mutt but we’re like 95% sure he’s got corgi in him somehow]). they are the lights of my life and also the goofiest lookin mfs. i’ve posted pics of my cat before but my dog is like. really distinct looking (see: porgi) but i love him so much … ask me for photos of him n u shall receive…

my apartment is pet free unfortunately. but also taking care of another whole ass being is A Lot so. i’m very chill w not having my own rn

share some interesting fact about yourself: i went to a spanish speaking daycare when i was really young (like toddler aged) and then when i was like 7 i invented my own language (as one does) and half the words were just. spanish. my parents spent ages trying to convince me that i did not just come up w the word espagnol . i swear to god. and i was a stubborn know it all kid and i wasn’t gonna believe them on anything without irrefutable proof (and how do u prove that??) so their efforts were largely fruitless LOL

what was the first fandom you were a part of?: for SURE harry potter. 9 year old me had unsupervised internet access and went craaazy

do you have any phobias?: hm. i Really Really Really don’t like things going near my eyes. it was wayyy worse before i started wearing contacts. like someone waving their hands around within three feet of me would freak me out. i do still get like. inescapable visions of pencils being waved around and accidentally put in my eye when i think abt it/when ppl wave pencils around that i have to physically shake out of

are you a picky eater? if so, what food can't you stand?: YES! texture issues my beloathed… i DESPISE melted cheese. blergh. bad bad vibes. and other funky textured cheeses… i literally just physically shuddered.

do you eat the burger and fries at the same time or one after another?: i consciously choose to eat burger first to get protein in. and THEN fries. if burger too hot then i get to eat two (must be even number) fries at a time until it cools enough to eat

winter or summer: summer <3 i love the beach i love the sun i love 6am runs where it’s already 75° i love swimming i love fun festivals. but also summer is a mindset . if it’s 65° in march im walking around in shorts and a tank top and sitting in the sun the entire day

favourite fanfiction tropes: oh gosh… best friends to lovers… idk i read it all baby. also gonna be honest the f1 interpretations of a/b/o are FASCINATING!!! and have really increased the draw by Far for me

are you studying or working? what do you study/is your job?: working! i am a silly little analyst

what is the last country you visited: canada in june to get drunk by the lake for a week <3

what country would you want to move to after retiring?: france… maybe not. but also maybe yeah. idk i don’t have any other strong connections to places, u kno? and i’d like to travel (fingers crossed i Can retire at an age where i can still travel easily lol)

who was your first crush?: gene kelly in singin in the rain and on the town… formative movies for 3y/o me

how did you get into f1 fandom?: web weavings on tumblr + like three random instagram reels (the mclaren wavelength video being the only one i remember lol) + the empty hole unemployment left me with inside = instant obsession

60 followers?!?! Y’all are the greatest! I really can’t express how much y’all’s support means to me. I really have been 100% down on myself for not being able to write well or liking “weird” characters so I’m super happy that there’s people who enjoy what I do. As always, requests are open! 🖤🖤🖤

More (Very Random) Eddie HCS!

He likes Across the Universe’s cover tune “Hold Me Tight”. Just seems like something that would make him happy.

This man watches 2000’s Disney movies in private. He probably has a dvd corner with Atlantis or The Road To Eldorado in the mix.

Definitely has a squishmallow or 2 on his bed. I can see him having the mouse or maybe even the dragon. Just something random that he loves.

I can see him having a sticker collection. Probably has amassed a rather large collection ranging from stickers from things like the grocery store or work stuff to just going to the dollar store or online from places like Etsy and Amazon to get the books of stickers or cool individual ones. He doesn’t usually use them so they’re predominantly in a folder or a binder.

He plays Animal Crossing. Can’t change my mind. I don’t even play AC but you can tell.

Eats Frosted Flakes and watches TV on days when he can slack a little on getting to work. It makes him feel like he’s got a bit more freedom.

May or may not have themed office supplies. I can see him having some random little office supplies from places like Daiso or an anime store near him. Just so he can have the occasional cute notepad with something like a corgi hanging out on it.

Sometimes he goes to Petsmart or PetCo and just looks at the fish in their tanks. He’s thought about getting a beta fish or some guppies.

He has a favorite pair of fuzzy pajama pants. They’re black and green and he’s had them for 6 years.

He was quietly a SpongeBob lover for a little bit when it came out. This is another thing I’ll fight anyone about.

And lastly, he feels like the kind of guy to really like the blue raspberry and green apple Juicy Drop candy. Especially the sour gel part.

More fun things about my mystreet rewrite

After the blue fight between Dante and Katelyn everytime they see eachother it’s on sight

But they stop as soon as they lose eye contact

Nicole scams kids on adopt me

Aaron and Nana watch Total Drama together and have sworn a pact to never watch it with anyone else

Aphmau had a Danny Devito cult in middle school and high school no further explanation

Lucinda isn’t fond of kids but she is so good with them

Gene had an evil, half robot, alicorn, robot my little pony oc in middleschool and he holds her close to his heart to this day

Laurence is the only one who knows about it

Aaron went to art school and is now a tattoo artist

Meif’wa and werewolves don’t shave and it’s considered weird to do that so when Nana saw Katelyn shaving her legs she freaked out

Laurence has an extreme fear of heights

Garroth being the human embodiment of a golden retriever will never say if they are high up so Laurence doesn’t get scared

Nana likes heights and she constantly perched on Aaron and Garroth

Zane said she could do that to him they tried it once and Zane almost broke his neck

When they go out and any of the girls complain about their shoes Aaron just picks them up

Aaron and Katelyn will let anyone sit on them or hang off of them when they are exercising

Nana thinks this is the best thing ever and can’t stop laughing

Travis once threatened to neuter Dante and no one knows if he meant it or not

That’s now their go to threat

Garroth has a massive fish tank and it’s his pride and joy if anything happened to it he would go insane

As a gift for graduating college Aaron got Aphmau a corgi and she named him Thorgi

Aaron and Aphmau were the best of friends until Aphmau’s 2nd year of college and Aaron’s 3rd year and they started to get feelings for eachother but they didn’t date until Aphmau’s last year in college

Laurence and Garroth don’t ever confirm their relationship and let everyone believe they are “good friends” until one day they invite everyone to their engagement party

Zane didn’t even know

Zane gets the baby brother treatment from Garroth but Vlayd gets the baby brother treatment from Garroth AND Zane

Aaron was on the wrestling team in high school behind his dads back

His dad found out after a year and Aaron had to quit much to the coaches disappointment

Nana was on the girls wrestling team because Aaron did it

She quit in solidarity with her bud even though Aaron told her not to

Lily isn’t a bully she just follows her cousin around and rolls her eyes at what she says

Aaron and Lily date until they go to different colleges and decide long distance won’t work for them

Pupstruction to Wag Its Tail on Disney Junior and Disney+ in June 14 With Merchandise Plans and Music Album

Disney is getting ready to unleash a pack of new animated pooches on June 14 with Pupstruction an imaginative, music-filled animated series from Titmouse Inc.& Disney Junior Educational Resource Group the show is set to premiere WEDNESDAY, JUNE 14, with a simulcast on Disney Channel and Disney Junior (8:00 a.m. EDT). An initial batch of episodes will premiere the same day on on-demand platforms and Disney+.

Joining the previously announced voice cast in recurring and guest star roles for season one are Olga Merediz (Walt Disney Animation Studios “Encanto” Franchise) as Grandma Dee, Todrick Hall (“The Masked Singer”) as Harvey Hare, Gabriel Iglesias (Netflix Animation “I, Chihuahua”) as Felipe and Nate Torrence (Walt Disney Animation Studios “Zootopia” Franchise) as Chameleo.

“Pupstruction” centers on crew leader Phinny, an innovative young corgi who dreams up some of the biggest and wildest ideas to help his town of Petsburg. The other members of Pupstruction are Luna, a comically spontaneous sheepdog; Roxy, a can-do rottweiler; and Tank, a lovable, snack-obsessed mastiff. Although Phinny might be the smallest pup on the crew, he proves that you don’t need big paws to have big ideas. Together, the Pupstruction crew uses mud, sweat, drool and plenty of heart to build and create.

The series stars Yonas Kibreab (Pixar Animation Studios “Elio”) as Phinny, Carson Minniear (“Big City Greens” Franchise) as Tank, Scarlett Kate Ferguson (“I’m Dying Up Here”) as Roxy and newcomer Mica Zeltzer as Luna, as well as Yvette Nicole Brown (“Firebuds”) as Mayor Gilmore, Bobby Moynihan (”DuckTales”) as Bobby Boots, Grey DeLisle (“Scooby Doo Franchise”) as Maya, Kari Wahlgren (“The Ghost and Molly McGee”) as Scratch, Eric Bauza (“Muppet Babies 2018”) as characters Harry, Sniff and Lloyd, and Alessandra Perez (“T.O.T.S. Tiny Ones Transport Service”) as Bailey.

Pupstruction is created by Travis Braun (”T.O.T.S. Tiny Ones Transport Service”) the series’ creative team for season one includes Victor Cook (”T.O.T.S. Tiny Ones Transport Service”) as executive producer, Robyn Brown (“Muppet Babies 2018”) as co-producer/story editor and Abigail Nesbitt (”T.O.T.S. Tiny Ones Transport Service”) as supervising director. Rob Cantor (Disney Television Animation’s “The Ghost and Molly McGee”,Chibiverse”) is songwriter and composer.

The main title theme song, written by series’ songwriter/composer Rob Cantor, will be released on Friday, May 12. The full digital soundtrack, “Disney Junior Music: Pupstruction,” featuring the theme song plus additional songs from the series, will be released by Walt Disney Records on June 14.

Disney Consumer Products, Games and Publishing is developing product lines inspired by the series featuring apparel, figures, vehicles, role-play products, plush, books and more.

okay i want to make pet headcanons for all of the quarry kids now

Abigail loves reptiles. She always wanted a puppy, but her mom's allergic. Regardless, she's still happy with her bearded dragon and leopard gecko. She also has a couple of fishes, with a beautifully decorated tank. Honestly, she loves the routine of the reptiles and aquarium since it motivates her to take care of herself as well.

She's seriously considering getting a chameleon, but she's got literally no space left for anything.

Dylan has a black cat and an orange tabby. He got them a couple years ago when they were both kittens, and he definitely cherishes the kitty company in hard times. He pampers the hell out of them, and makes sure they have plenty of Meowijuana around.

Emma is the only one to have horses, since her property has the space for it. They're more her parents than hers, but she still likes caring for them. After summer camp is over, she invites Abi over for horsebacking riding. She had never done it before, but Emma is patient in teaching her and Abi ends up loving it. Whenever Abi comes over, they make it a habit to ride the horses.

Inside the house, Emma also has two black-and-white cats and a calico. She may or may not be running one of those pet instagram accounts for her cats. They may or may not be just as famous as her.

Jacob has three dogs. A chocolate lab, Siberian husky, and toy Australian shepherd. He loves teaching them tricks and staying active with them, throwing frisbees with them outside, setting up little "obstacle courses". He takes his pet care very seriously, and gets nervous whenever one of them does something odd.

After meeting Laura, he'll always shoot her a text or call her. She has to talk him out of going to the vet a lot. Just because his lab likes to sleep upside down and hanging off the couch doesn't mean he's dying.

Kaitlyn has a corgi and a fluffy Maine Coon cat. She may be fierce and feisty, but she gets so mushy over her tiny little pets. She pspsps's and spoils them with treats and has conversations with them in the kitchen like they can understand her.

On the other side, she heard Nick had a snake and immediately asked to come over to hold it.

Laura would fill her whole house with animals if she could. She absolutely loves guinea pigs the most though, and has had guinea pigs her whole life. She always wants to dump a lot of money on extravagant enclosures, and really has to hold herself back.

It's impossible to take her anywhere she can adopt a pet, because she will beg Max if they can take it home. He definitely needs to accompany her though, so she doesn't "accidentally" bring one home.

One of her close friends had a pregnant cat, so Laura got a little silver tabby kitten out of it.

Max has a rat named Crumb! And his brother's German Shepard. Max loves snuggling the dog, but he really loves his chunky rat the most, thinking that this little guy is so cool and smart.

Laura also loves Crumb, and sometimes Max is convinced she comes over just to see the rat more than him. She bought a little rat leash and harness, which Max originally made jokes about, but he totally uses it. His rat loves going for walks.

Dylan suggested once that his cats and Crumb should have a pet playdate. Max had to stare at him in an uncomfortably long silence before telling him how bad of an idea that could be.

Nick lives in an apartment with a no pet rule unfortunately, as he would love a dog. But honestly, he seems like the kind of guy to be super chill about snakes and could feasibly keep it in his apartment.

Nick having a snake, and Abi having her lizards, the reptile love was one of the things that got them initially bonding at camp. Same with wanting a dog, they dove right into a conversation about the dog breeds they always wanted.

Ryan has a rabbit from an animal rescue. She's a blind bunny, but that doesn't change how sweet she is. Lately, Ryan's been toying around with the idea of getting another bunny so she wouldn't be lonely. Dylan texts him "Angus Beef" as a name suggestion. He's left on read.

There's also a Pomeranian puppy running around now since his sister really wanted one. Ryan decided to splurge in and get her the puppy for company.

BONUS: Travis is a cat person. He's always liked them a lot, but maybe it's the family of werewolves thing that's causing an aversion to dogs. Chris points this out and pokes fun at him for it.
