At the start - the first three of four years the Fortress mercs spent at the Gravel Wars - it was taken seriously by pretty much everyone. However, as time went on, the more they started realizing that it's all pointless, the war will go for far longer than they're even gonna be around and also the sheer stupidity of fighting for centuries over goddamned *gravel* and so eventually half(if not most(if not all)) the fights would look something like…

The Engineers set aside their differences to build the most messed up futuristic weapons in the history of ever

The Scouts are either having a race or playing baseball (with bombs, probably)

At any given moment someone somewhere is doing(or trying to) kazotsky kick

BLU Sniper's just chilling up in his hideout, watching whatever the hell the others are up to

RED Demo is just rambling on about life to whoever listens(a.k.a. whoever doesn't yeet themselves outta here the moment they see him) and giving mildly normal(sometimes even adequate) advice if someone does the same to him

RED Sniper and BLU Spy are god-knows-where rambling about how much their respective teams suck and how they don't do anything while not doing anything themselves

The Pyros are having fun :) (run for your dear life if you see them in a ten mile radius)

Overlooker is in the respawn room trying to do tricks with any weaponry he sees and failing (being the reason he's in the respawn room in the first place)

RED Medic is trying to get anyone (regardless of team) to let him experiment on them (so far he got, like, 2 fools)

Everyone else is either actually trying to get the job done, slept through the announcement, or is nowhere to be seen.

Of course, this immediately raised worries in the Mann Co. about the mercs figuring out they technically work for the same company, but newsflash - they couldn't care less, so things are mostly normal…

When they figure out about the cloning, however, all will go south. But that's a story for another day.

So yeah spy has nightmares about Dell/engineer alot. He doesn't know why but assumes it's just his subconscious's way of telling him what he's doing is wrong or something similar. The Dell in the nightmare isn't him.

General info

BLU spy is basically the main point of this au with RED engineer

Blu spy is feeding Red engineer whatever is in these bloody boxes. No one knows how he gets them or what's in them but they know hes feeding dell with them.

No one other then RED medic knows that BLU spy is feeding dell and generally none know(other then Ludwig, mundy, and Spy(Richmond) ) that Red engineer is what he is or eats what he eats.

Mundy usually tries to avoid dell or stay away from him because of something hes seen. He doesn't feel all that comfortable around him.

Jospeh has 2 looks in this. 1 the creature or entity that spys subconscious has made and 2 Jospeh as a genuine ghost. The ghost isn't seen yet.

Blu spy has a lot of issues from what hes doing and some things that have happened so he'll avoid certain topics about people.

Joseph(blu sniper) is a ghost in this. Joseph hates Medic with a passion. After everything that's happened and how he's treating the situation, it's making him mad.

Not to mention how he's blowing off his death. He knows what's going on with his own spy and the engineer and he wants to help however he can... And that helps bugging ludwig in a way a ghost can. No one can see him well unless he's fuckin around and deciding to show himself. Outside of that he's just a invisible force fucking with stuff(he doesn't do it much)

But I made art for it of BLU Spy Having a crisis over the whole thing. He can't handle what he's doing.. He's saying it's for his team to stay alive but in reality it's just him trying to survive(His FRIEND Is the RED engineer)

He's just trying to survive and possibly keep his team alive(and sorta the RED team as well) where's he getting the bloody boxes with God knows what inside? Who knows. It's not His medic Or RED medic.
