here’s another kinn & porsche rec list as promised! once again, the list is ordered according to length (from longest to shortest), but this time i’ve also included some wips that i’m obsessed with right now—if the fic is currently incomplete, i’ve marked it with (wip). you should definitely check them all out, they’re so great and every new update makes my day. really and truly, these fics have literally been what’s getting me through it lately. please be sure to read the tags, and show the authors some love! Papa had said it was best they keep a distance while things settled down. He’d said that it wouldn’t do to look like they were too much in one another’s pockets. That their rivals might see their relationship as a weakness to be exploited.

Plus, with so many staff dead after the attack, everything seems to take three times as long to do. The work carries on, despite their depleted resources. Everyone’s pulling long hours. Kinn rarely has evenings free anymore, and Porsche certainly doesn’t. They speak on the phone when they can; Kinn in his room, Porsche in his own, sometimes reporting on what they’ve been doing, sometimes just listening to each other breathe until they fall asleep. Most days, from what Kinn can tell, Porsche works till midnight, crawls into bed for a few hours, and then gets right up and starts working again.

Kinn knows his father wouldn’t want him here. He’s sneaked out—sort of. Arm knows where he is, and if Arm knows, Tankhun knows (which is why Arm knows). Papa had told Kinn that he should let Porsche get established on his own, to show trust. It does make sense, if Kinn thinks about it logically.

But he misses his boyfriend.

It isn’t as if he isn’t madly fucking in love with him.

hellllllooooo u seem like a person with good opinions . what are your favorite kinnporche fics (kp or vp)? also which of your own fics are your favorite? (maybe which ones you enjoyed writing most or which you like the end product of the most)

oh wow thank you. i do personally think that my opinions are very good.

i only have a couple k/p fics to recommend wholeheartedly, honestly. I am REALLY picky about Kinn characterization. He tends to get written as a generic yaoi top and he just...isn't. Anyway, "Your teeth around my organs" by androktasia and "How bad I want this scandal" by lickrish are both very well done.

for vp I am a big fan of the whole Power series by evashougouki - incredible Pete pov. "How deep it goes" by giraffeter is scorchingly hot and super in character despite having been written back before episode 12, and "Lion in my living room" by pettecal72 is deliciously trippy.

as for my own fics, I assume you're talking about my kp fics? (if you aren't then my favorite fic i've written is "Bite the Bullet" but that's for a fandom with like fifteen people in it) my favorite of my kp fics are "ride it like you stole it" for vp, and "i wanted your body but it came with your soul" for kp.

anyway, hope some of these are up your alley.

Die Androktasiai (altgriechisch Ἀνδροκτασίαι Androktasíai), Singular Androktasia (Ἀνδροκτασία Androktasía, deutsch ‚Männermorde‘), sind in der griechischen Mythologie Personifikationen des Schlachtgemetzels.

Das Wort Androktasiai erscheint bereits bei Homer als synonyme Bezeichnung für die Schlachten. In Hesiods Theogonie erscheinen die Androktasiai personifiziert als Töchter der Göttin der Zwietracht Eris, ihre Geschwister sind ebenfalls Personifikationen von für den Menschen negativ besetzten Begriffen. Im Hesiod zugeschriebenen Schild des Herakles wird beschrieben, dass sie neben einigen anderen Personifikationen mit Bezug zum Krieg den Schild des Herakles schmücken.

By the time the Lan's and the cultivation world need Wei Ying's help once again will all this time apart without Lan Zhan’s guidance and support mean the new Wei Ying still feel anything for Lan Zhan?

The Androktasia

The Androktasia or Androctasia, literally meaning battle killings, are female daimons of battle slaughter and daughters of Eris alone according to Hesoid's Theogony. They are often associated with the Keres (daimons of violent or cruel death) and often accompanied them, Eris (goddess or daimon of discord and strife), and the Makhai (daimons of combat) on the battlefield. In Hesiod's Theogony they are said to share the same nature as Eris and their siblings Ponos (pain), Lethe (forgetfulness), the Hysminae (combat), the Makhai (battle), Limos (starvation), the Algea (pain), the Phoni (murder), the Neikea (quarrels), the Pseudologoi (lies), the Amphilogiai (disputes), Dysnomia (lawlessness) and Ate (ruin). They are said to be depicted on the Shield of Herakles in Hesoid's Shield of Herakles.

For fic finder I’ve been going a little crazy looking for this one, -Wei Ying is married into Gusu lan (or engaged into it) and he is given a hairpiece to wear with black jewels, he goes back to lotus pier with lan qiren (and I believe lan Zhan and lan xichen) and is bullied into not wearing it by yu ziyuan etc. The Lans are not happy to see how he is treated by the Jiangs. 7. hello hello! I read this fic so long ago and I really can't remember it. I didn't even have an ao3 account to look through my history, so any help would be appreciated. I don't remember much, but it was a fic where wwx survived the siege. The most glaring memory I have is that when wwx was trying to destroy the seal it broke and pieces embedded itself in his hand. And I think it refused to heal over and he had to do an array to keep it in check.

In this fic, LWJ had already presented as an alpha; however, WWX hadn't presented yet, but everyone (including him) thought he was going to present as an alpha. thirteenth doctor and captain jack fic recs

1. Buried in Hallowed Ground by androktasia (13k, 5 chapters, gen) summary: There’s a dangerous beast lurking at the heart of Doncaster town. And no - it’s not the Council.

// this fic is an absolute joy to read, simply because it’s just so brilliantly british. Pot holes are a plot point? Investigating an old minster? It’s so good. Also, fantastically written and wonderfully funny. The Doctor, Jack and the fam’s dynamic are so great - and, of course, there’s some particularly excellent Doctor and Jack interactions.

2. Old Wounds by FictionPenned (1k, 1 chapter, gen) summary: The Doctor raises her eyes to him. Ancient, sad, arresting, in-between colors, in-between thoughts, and in-between eons. Not so different from her old eyes. A thought occurs to him, but he drowns it with the remainder of his whiskey.

// I love this fic so much. The way the Doctor and Jack are written is so good, really exploring that angst of the Doctor abandoning Jack for being immortal, but now struggling with the timeless child reveal. Absolutely brilliantly done - beautiful prose and perfect characterisation. This fic actually inspired how I wrote Jack in a fic of my own.

3. The Timelord and the Immortal by PicassoPickle (3k, 1 chapter, thirteen/jack) summary: She is eccentric and wild and never stops talking. She can take a box of scraps and invent the impossible. She can command the attention of an entire room and the save the world with just a bobby pin and a piece of paper. And yet, sometimes when they are alone, Jack sees a different side of her.

// oh my goodness I just adore this one - I have a soft spot a mile wide for doctor/jack, and this one is just so lovely. A really good exploration of the Doctor and Jack on their own and guh, it’s so beautiful. There are multiple parts that make my heart ache so much. If you ship them, go give this fic some love!

4. Say Hello by Quercusrobur (5k, 5 chapters, thirteen/jack) summary: He takes a step closer and she straightens; she is much shorter than usual, the top of her head only at his chin. Reaching out, Jack traces the chain of her earring delicately. “Well. I can work with that.”

// ok so if you ship these two you should really go read this whole series because it’s SUCH an interesting look at the two of them meeting out of order. But this fic in particular is really nice to start you off - Jack being, well, Jack, and also some really neat stuff about the Doctor’s gender and how she does and doesn’t want to be treated different because of her new body. Really good!

5. nothing beside remains by wreckageofstars (6k, 2 chapters, gen, wip) summary: It takes him years and years and years, but he always finds her, eventually. [Or: the Doctor makes a different choice, all those years ago on Lake Geneva, and lives with the consequences.]

// ok I know I’m say the same thing about each one but this one is SO GOOD GUYS. Cyberium!Thirteen suffering and Jack finding her at the tail end of the cyberwar, you can just imagine the angst, it’s so great. And it’s by wreckageofstars so do I even need to say how well written it is? Of course I don’t. But I will anyway. It’s brilliant, and sad, and beautiful, and hilarious. And, unfortunately, not finished, but I reckon it’s still worth the read just for what’s up there already, because it’s fantastic

6. again, again, again, again by krebkrebkreb (8k, 1 chapter, thirteen/jack) summary: The Doctor is, undeniably, a coward. (A character study and expansion on the events during, between, and just after The Timeless Children and Revolution of the Daleks)

// this one is hot off the press because it literally posted *checks notes* yesterday, but damn it’s so good. I don’t normally go for fics that cover scenes we see in the episode but ho boy, this author just breathed such fresh life into the scenes and made them all hurt even more? The writing is absolutely beautiful and I just love how they write both Jack and Thirteen. So so good.

7. This is the Way the World Ends by wedgewood (7k, 1 chapter, gen) summary: The obligatory ‘escape from Judoon prison’ fic.

// the main problem with reading so much fanfic is that sometimes you remember that a fic exists that you read a while back, but for the LIFE of you, you cannot remember what it was called, who wrote it, or how to find it - you just know that you NEED to reread it. This was me with this fic for about a week until I caved and ended up scrolling through my entire ao3 history (which is a TASK, I’ll tell you). But anyway, I love this one. Excellent prison thirteen angst and some absolutely wonderful hurt/comfort. I really love the way the author depicts Jack and Thirteen’s dynamic - and how the fam reacts to it hahaha. Go check it out!
