I'm bored so ✨disciple headcanons✨
I saw someone else doing this, and I thought it was a fun idea and I'm rlly bored rn so here we go:
• John had an ego. Although it faded as he got older.
• Simon P was the protective older brother type.
• All the disciples were younger then Jesus. I saw a post somewhere saying the disciples might have been teenagers or young adults, and I really like that idea bc then Jesus is like their father figure lol.
• Matthew had a hard time fitting in (duh).
• Thomas was always the doubting type. ("Are you *sure* this will work, Rabbi?")
• At first, the younger ones, (John, Andrew?) were intimated by the older ones.
• I like how "The Chosen" introduced Phillip, being Andrew's freind, I also like the idea that some of the disciples where freinds before they met Jesus.
That's all I can think of for now, feel free to re blog and add some headcanons of our own! (this is just my ideas about the disciples, none of them are probably true :P)

Epifanios! One standard and a handful of little doodles of a younger Epi [w bonus aid shift]
And some thoughts on what youth formal attire looks like in the Church. Dress code in public or professional areas of the Church is always formal, though Apostles are granted some lenience in adulthood. Before that, it's lots of light-colored frocks until they begin schooling, and longer underskirts or pants are added after that until ~13.
Tucking your shirt into your pants like that is considered kind of childish and unprofessional, but very useful in sneaking around past curfew.

Jesus Et Pierre Sur Les Eaux - Gustave Brion, 1863
The apostles cried out in terror when they saw a figure walking on the water toward them.
“Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid,” Jesus said.
Peter wanted to make sure it was really Jesus.
“Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water,” he said.
Jesus told Peter to come to him. Peter left the boat and began walking on the water, but he became frightened and started to sink.
“Lord, save me!” Peter yelled.
Jesus reached out and grabbed Peter.
“O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” Jesus asked.

Twelve Apostles Courtcase Spell (2) Hung Jury
[Jesus Christ’s twelve apostles are popular figures in Courtcase magic, metaphoric similarity to a twelve-person jury. The list of Aspotles’ names varies depending upon which Gospel is chosen for information. This list derives from Atthew 10:2-4, however use whichever version suits you best: Simon Peter; Andrew; James, the son of Zebedee; John, his brother; Philip; Bartholomew; Thomas; Matthew; James, the son of Alphaeus; Thaddeus; Simon the Canaanite; and Judas Iscariot.]
The spell suggested in The Book of Pow-Wows is devout and sincere, suggesting that you bring the Apostles with you to court as allies and support (you literally walk on their strength)---a sort of stronger jury. Other versions of the spell consider the metaphor with historical detachment: if the Apostles are perceived as a jury of twelve, then ultimately a split decision was rendered, with Judas Iscariot insisting upon an independent course of action.
Use the Twelve Apostles to help produce a divides jury, a jury unable to reach consensus. Perform this spell when called upon to be present in the courtroom.
On a small piece of paper, write the names of eleven apostles, omitting Judas Iscariot, in two columns, one of five columns and the other of six.
Fold this paper up and place it in your right shoe.
Write Judas’ name on his own piece of paper. Wear this one inside your left shoe.

By The Apostles (Acts 3:12, 13, 16; 4:10, 30; 9:34, 35; 16:18)
So when Peter saw it, he responded to the people: "Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk?"

There are those who, [when asked about Our Lord,] like to concentrate upon a Jesus which their own minds construct, [based on personal memories and emotions;] but they [fail to] notice that the [complete] story of Jesus includes those whom He sent forth to preach in His name, both before and after His death. Of course, the emissaries of Jesus are included in the tale! How would we know the story without them? Our written Gospels are but crystallizations of their very human voices, calling to us, speaking to us in His Name. If you have found Christ in the Gospel, you have found Him through the Church, through the men and women who followed Him and were willingly sent forth by Him. [Two thousand years later,] you still find Christ in those who continue to proclaim Him in word and action.
