Well, well, well we meet again Keane. Long time no see.

With the release of my remake of an old video of mine from the late 2000s, it’s time for another throwback to that decade. Let me tell you, it has actually been that long since I did an AMV with the music of Keane. I for one have a history with this British alternative music group. They were one of my favourite bands of the 2000s; they helped me get exposed to more alternative forms of rock and for that reason I continue to admire and appreciate them. With their recent comeback, I also got back to doing a project based on their music.

For this AMV, I decided to take a song from my personal favourite Keane album ‘Under The Iron Sea’. As you may know I consider ‘Under The Iron Sea’ their greatest achievements. It’s the point Keane took their sound to experimental places, the range of instrumentation and fantastical and thematic lyrics have made it aged like wine. I even did a series of art pieces based on the album, it left such an impact on me.

With how much I referenced this band in other areas, you’d think I would’ve done more AMVs with their music. Here’s the thing, I never really thought of anything else I could do with it video wise. I was probably so busy with other things I never thought to do so. That is until this.

As for the video itself, I wanted to make this one very personal. I would combine clips from the show to convey a tribute to the album the song is from, by incorporating the strangeness of indie music videos and my love for fantasy to make it feel like a hallucinatory trance.

I would also like to mention that back in 2014, I thought that Keane might return someday, but later on I decided to accept that they might have finished for good. After all I have this concern that if a band goes on for too long, they might lose their touch. For a while I thought it would’ve been for the best that their music would remain a memory, unless they could prove they could be as strong as they ever were. When I heard that Keane were returning, I was filled with hopes and fears (for lack of a better term). But after hearing their recent song, I started to feel more on the optimistic side and wanted to look forward to new material from them again. Whether it’ll be their final curtain call is something you only need an orbuculum to foretell.

Kohime Bakumoto is a relatively quiet woman born in Morioh on November 8 1956 and currently aged at 43 years old she managed to get a job as a science teacher at Budogoakan High School. She wakes up 7 AM and takes once a week strolls around the city after drinking a near whole bottle’s worth of milk, when not doing that she tends to the graded papers of her students and is admittedly very disappointed at their low grades. On weekends she goes to the gym at 8 PM and leaves at around lunch, she makes sure to go to a bakery to pick up a couple wheat bread before making some pretty delicious sandwiches. She as of now has no health issues and that’s great and her orderly routine makes her happy and with that goes to sleep with [Sweet Dreams]. She is trying to explain that she is a simply a woman trying to live a quiet and mundane life however if she were in a fight she would without a doubt win a fight.
