the sun is just peaking over the horizon when the boys find her, blanket wrapped around her shoulders, mug in hand. the porch creaks as they walk towards her, alerting her to their presence before they settle on the swinging bench, one on either side.
“so this is where you disappear to when rooster hogs the blankets,” jake says as he cuddles into nat’s side. she hums in lieu of an actual answer as bradley squawks out his protest, earning his call sign as the sun continues to rise in the sky.
“shhh,” she says over their noise, “just take it in, first sunrise on the ranch this year.”

He’s alive, he’s alive, he’s alive, chants the voice in her head. Percy is here, alive, and Vex is so happy her heart could burst. She knows she needs to repeat her words from the ritual to him, needs to make sure he hears them, consciously this time, so he knows how important he is to her. That he has a reason to live, to stay alive, and not be so reckless with himself. She has to make sure that Percival Frederickstein von Mussel Klossowski de Rolo III knows that she, Vex’ahlia, loves him with everything in her.

they referenced/implied this in the episode and adventuring party but the concept that the rat grinders, as a party, are so into min-maxing and power leveling that they not only optimize themselves but also their party, resulting in kipperlily and other(s) KILLING the most inefficient member?
this is the horror campaign

you pull me out of the dark, and now it’s light by dames_for_jamesbarnes
Rating: M || Length: 17.9k
“Whoa, whoa, whoa,” Bradley says, eyes narrowing playfully as Jake tries to breeze past him and deeper into the kitchen. “I make this hot chocolate for you and all I get is a lousy forehead kiss? So much for the holiday spirit.
Natasha hides her smile against Bradley’s arm, shaking her head as Jake stops dead in his tracks. “You dissin’ my kisses?” he asks with a laugh.
“C’mere, cowboy,” Bradley tells him, “and kiss me like you mean it.
Past and present memories of the holiday season with Natasha, Jake, and Bradley, as the three of them learn what it means to love someone where they’re at so that you can move with them wherever they might go.
Qvo (dames_for_jamesbarnes || @qvid-pro-qvo)’s fic spoke to me like very few fics ever have. There is something incredibly touching about it that I can’t quite put my finger on. The gorgeous writing, how we get transported through time with all the happiness and nostalgia and other more unpleasant feelings that holidays bring, and the nuance of storytelling and character development are certainly among the elements that make this story so very special. Qvo’s gorgeous writing and moving story felt like a warm blanket and a safe space for me to allow myself to feel and let the tears flow. Don’t miss out on this one, it’s one I hold very close to my heart.

leverage is great because it makes real commentary on actual problems and the people behind the scenes do seem to genuinely care about those problems but also it's a show where they faked an alien abduction and one of the main characters sent another character plot-relevant petplay magazines. it's a show where one of the lines from the original finale still haunts me with how true it ultimately is--"justice or order. one day, you are going to have to make that choice"--and it's a show where there's an office parody episode that involves the same character who said that insisting in a straight-to-camera interview that he "loves foreplay." they solved the DB cooper case one time. it rules

i'm just, i'm not done, i can't be done -
in the long goodbye job we get something we haven't seen almost anywhere else. we see a direct look into nate's brain. we see his own personal nightmare, and exactly what he thinks about each of the other members of the team. and what do we see?
eliot. and parker. and hardison.
sure. it's all fake. it didn't actually happen. it's a story, a detailed story, plausible, and what he needs to give - but when nate crafts the horrible, no-good, very bad end to the con, he crafts it based on what he knows. he's the man who has some of the best insight into his team. and what he knows, what he knows for sure is that those three? it's them until the end.
hell, half the time the vision of the con gone wrong isn't even from nate's perspective, or what he hears over the comms. what nate imagines happening to the others, in this insane hypothetical, from parker, and hardison, and eliot, is the three of them fighting to the death to protect each other. eliot running down the stairs at the sound of parker and hardison in trouble. parker lugging hardison's body to the van with all of her strength. hardison asking for eliot's presence, in those final moments, and the three of them clinging to each other as their lifeblood pours out onto the floor, comforted by each other. when he looks back, on the floor, he sees them together, and knows.
we see the three of them consistently leaning on each other for support. parker calls hardison and eliot when she's hurt and needs advice. hardison clings to eliot and parker when he's hurt or scared, and celebrates with them when he wins. eliot is the most vulnerable with the two of them, lets down his walls the most when they urge him to.
nate knows. he shows us. they show us. the three of them, together, and being okay with sophie and nate leaving leverage to them because all along, the three of them together was how it was always going to be. good ending or bad.
for better or for worse. for richer, or for poorer. in sickness, and in health.
eliot makes a vow, in that moment, so do parker and hardison. just like sophie and nate. mirrors of each other. together until the end.
'til death do they part.
eliot vowing to protect alec and parker til his dying day right after nate proposes to sophie feels a lot like a dual marriage right? right??? just me??????

my biggest criticism of leverage is that hardison and eliot didn’t get more van singalong time
