ok one thing that i keep thinking about that i never noticed before on my other bloodborne playthroughs is the ambient choral music that plays when you go throughout upper cathedral ward. there is only one other area in the game i can think of that has a musical score playing while exploring an area, which is the chanting when first entering hypogean gaol/yahar'gul. but the chanting is diagetic, its happening right then and there within the universe of the game. so the ambient music that plays in upper cathedral ward being disembodied vocals with no instruments only begs the question even more: who dat!!! and where and why
