FUCK IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN

Akatosh was once again a little shit to me and it's WIP Wednesday once again except. I have. Almost nothing to share of my current chapter. SO WE'RE CHANGING THINGS UP AND SHARING WHAT I HAVE OF MY VALERICA MINI ADVENTURE SO FAR INSTEAD I was tagged by the lovely @thequeenofthewinter and @umbracirrus! I think Winter has already seen this as well as @mareenavee but other than that I haven't really shared this, hehe. Not sure who to tag, so if you'd like to share something you're working on, feel free to do so and tag me so I can see it!! <3 ANYWAY. Without further ado. Ahem.

Snip. Snip.

A disgruntled sigh fell from lavender lips as shrivelled, long-dead nightshade leaves and petals fluttered to the ground.

Another snip.

Valerica had expected her precious garden to be in a horrid and disastrous state after more than a millennia, but she had to admit that she somewhat underestimated the extent of ruin that time and negligence had thoroughly wrought upon it in her absence. She supposed she deserved it; the devastation of the courtyard was, ironically, a symbol of her relationship with her deceased husband and estranged daughter. Certainly more so the latter than the former.

She sighed again. While she had come to hate the man Harkon had become and was glad to be rid of him, she could not say the same for Serana.

“I can’t stay here.”

I have also decided to redesign Valerica! Here are my notes;

- I didn't like that she was just wearing a recolor of Serana's armor, it doesn't really suit her.

- I wanted her to look older and dignified, but without sacrificing practicality; she keeps her gloves tucked into her belt, her sleeves are rolled up, etc.

- I didn't want to ditch the regular design themes you see in the Volkihar Vampires, lots of metal accents, sharp points, dark colors, dull leather, but it was important to me she was wearing something a mage/scientist would wear since she's such a devoted alchemist and necromancer.

-again, ditched the Molag Bal collar for a brooch

- hated her hairstyle, gave her something like the "tousled bard" style from ESO; pretty, elegant and mostly out of the way

I got some inspiration from Moira of Overwatch, and a minor character from the Underworld: Rise of the Lycans movie

I hope I did her justice!
