STUDENTS FROM LA PEDRERA COMMUNITY PROJECT ARE BACK AT IT

Big news! The afterschool program at La Pedrera Community Project will open once again! Last week was a very emotional one for the community because the building that provides after school support for students in need of tutoring has opened its doors to students again. With help from students, Teresa de Leon, the program director, got busy cleaning up the building to get it ready for the community to use. On Monday, the students were back to participating in academic learning activities with homework. So, a few days ago we had to wait for some repairs on our vehicle. The gentleman from the workshop suggested we take a walk to the “Two Beards and a Saint” coffee shop, and have a cuppa while we wait. It was so worth it.
