Hello dont mind me coming out of lurking in anon to give a prompt because i like your writing. Sidekick being caught in the act of harming hero and villain loses their cool very quickly. Love your work! Thanks for letting us read it! Byeeeee!
“You’re not in any position to make a decision like this,” the villain reminded their sidekick. “You’re my partner. And they’re my enemy. Mine. Not yours.”
Their tone wasn’t harsh. Maybe that was the mistake on the villain’s side. They knew their temperament could be misleading. They were calm, most of the time. Maybe that was why the sidekick thought they could do as they pleased.
The villain stared at the footage which revealed the sidekick’s sins. They couldn’t help but notice moves and tricks they’d taught them. The violence was unmistakable. But the violence was theirs. The sidekick had done the deed but the villain had given them the tools.
“That’s hypocrisy. You said the heroes are the disease of the city.”
“That’s not a free pass to torture my nemesis,” the villain answered calmly.
Oh yes, they were calm. They were reserved. On the outside, they didn’t boil. But on the inside, the villain was close to exploding.
“Don’t pretend you didn’t want this,” the sidekick commanded suddenly. As if they were in any authoritative place. “You trained me to kill them. That’s what I’ve been prepared for to do. You and me. That’s always been the plan. And it worked. The hero is ours.”
The villain only shook their head slowly, a humourless laugh escaping them. They’d been blind. How could one be so wrong about a person?
They weren’t facing the sidekick. Their eyes were glued to the screen, observing what the sidekick had done.
“My hero,” they corrected. “They’re mine.”
“And you want me to believe I’m the one who’s crazy? Who’s done something bad? You’re obsessed with them, you’ve always been. You’re sick.”
The villain could hear in their sidekick’s tone how they heated up. They knew that behaviour. They’d do anything to justify their actions. The sidekick was going to turn on them, they were going to try to get out of this.
Unbothered by the raised tone, the villain finally tore their gaze off the screen and stood up. They turned around, fixing any folds in their own clothes, before their gaze found the sidekick’s.
“Grovel.” The sidekick’s face forced a grin, trying to overshadow their emotions. But the villain could tell they were terrified.
“I won’t get on my knees to pule like an animal, just so you can humiliate me,” the sidekick hissed.
“No. You’ll get on your knees to pule and fucking beg like an animal just so I can humiliate you,” the villain answered, their voice as calm as ever despite the harsher choice of words.
By now, the sidekick’s face was red.
“It’s always been them, huh? Just them. The little hero you were obsessed with.” At this point, the sidekick almost spat the words at the villain.
But the villain had already made up their mind. That gave them their tranquility. That gave them power. They were able to decide what happened next. The sidekick however, overwhelmed with emotions, was not.
“We were best friends, you and I. Until you started hunting them.”
“So, you’re jealous of them?” the villain asked. “That’s it?”
Once again, there was this humourless laugh.
“Jealous of them? No. Jealous of you? Definitely.” For a millisecond, the villain’s anger glimmered through their façade. They stared at the sidekick as if they could burn them right here. Right now.
That was it.
“You want them…” the villain concluded quietly, their calmness returning. “That’s why you waterboarded them. That’s why you broke their bones. That’s why you hit them. Makes perfect sense.”
The sarcasm was incredibly provocative, the villain knew that. Still, they wanted to push the sidekick over the edge. They wanted to make them pay.
“That’s rich, coming from you. As if you hadn’t done the same,” the sidekick almost screamed at them. They were clenching their hands into fists, stubborn as always. “I considered you a sibling. You showed me things I didn’t even know I was capable of. You helped me. But I found the hero, I saw them first. I read the reports about them. It was me who told you about the new hero in town. They were mine to have, but you stole them from me.”
“You’re pathetic, you know that, right?” The villain prepared themselves for what was coming.
“They’re mine,” the sidekick screamed, pointing their finger at the villain. “I marked them up. I—”
They never ended the sentence. Instead, they were met with blood and — the villain assumed — a lot of pain, as their hands went to their throat.
The villain had cut their throat.
It was clean. It was made with precision. With a knife the sidekick had never seen coming.
As the sidekick eventually did fall to their knees, the villain grabbed their hair and yanked their head up, forcing them too look at them in their dying moments.
“And that’s where you’re wrong, friend. The hero was never yours to have.”

Since I'm such a kind lord, I'm giving you creatures the video from yesterday. Why do I do this for you all.
< Recording starts.
Leon is talking to other people when Raihan joins him, taking the spot at his side. The two men stand close, but not quite touching, as Leon finishes his conversation.
Turning to face Raihan, Leon tilts his head and smiles warmly. “Hello there.”
“Hey,” Raihan responds, putting a hand on Leon’s arm. “Are you free for a moment?”
Leon nods and takes Raihan's hand, leading him away from the crowd. When they stop, Leon turns his head to look at Raihan. “Something you need, Rai?”
Raihan takes a breath and reaches down to fuss at the Pokéball in his pocket.
“I just wanted to tell you that I love you, yeah?” he says, his fingers tracing over the smooth surface of the ball.
“We’ve known each other for so long, and it feels... So good, to be able to say that I love you and have you know what I mean.”
Leon covers his face with his hand, the tips of his ears turning red. “I’m so sorry for that, Raihan, I’m so dense-”
Raihan laughs a little, pulling Leon’s hand away from his face. “No, no- that's not what I was getting at. You are, but I was going to say something else,” he hums.
“I just-” he takes a breath before continuing. “I feel like you need a better... Confession? Words.” Despite himself, Raihan is still a nervous wreck. So much for practicing on the train. He huffs a laugh.
“You need a better confession. Deserve it,” he says, and pulls the ball out of his pocket. “I’ve been working at this for a couple days, so you better know what it means,” he laughs, and Leon’s cheeks stain red.
Placing the ball in Leon’s hands, Raihan takes a step back and watches as Leon runs his fingers over the sloppily painted heart.
“You-” And then it’s Leon’s turn to take a breath. “You didn’t have to, you know,” he says.
“I know. Just see what’s in it.”
Leon shakes his head, laughing slightly, and presses the button on the Pokéball.
Once the glimmering energy dissipates, a small Pokémon sits in its place.
Honeycrisp, the Applin Raihan had gotten from Snow.
The little Applin twists her eyestalks, peering around herself. Leon gasps quietly and kneels, watching the small dragon type.
“Oh, she’s precious,” he coos, holding his hand out tentatively.
Raihan huffs, lowering himself next to Leon. “That’s what I said. She’s almost as cute as you,” he says, smiling and bumping his hip against Leon’s.
Leon grins and shoves Raihan away gently. “You’re a twat,” he laughs, picking Honey up when she rolls into his hands.
“You like it though,” Raihan responds, pulling Leon up with him when he stands. “She’s friendly, hm? Most Applin I’ve met are so shy when you first meet them.” Raihan's smile softens as he strokes the little creature's back, and he watches with amusement as she gazes up at Leon with curious eyes.
“So, this is your confession to me?” Leon asks, laughing gently and leaning against the taller man.
Raihan grins and wraps his arm around Leon’s shoulders. “I hope it measured up to your expectations?” Despite the confident smile on his face, Raihan’s voice is laced with nervousness as he speaks
Leon smiles, and pulls Raihan’s head down to kiss him. “It’s perfect.”
