I'm back with a part 4 if you want to do it it's kind of more of a crack write I just need Klarion trying to explain the family tree
But not explaining how he was made at all So Young Justice and the Justice League are now convinced that a the Ghost King was a teenage parent who is now 27 years old and just passed college with a degree in astronomy and machinery
Klarion's other parent is a a crazy fruit loop 64 year old millionaire who went to college with Klarion's Mom parents who had an emotionally unhealthy obsession with his mom's mother and then it passed on to his mom.
And he has an older sister who is technicality a clone of his mom but also has the bastards DNA so fundamentally making Ellie Vlad Master and Mom's first born kid but there's six other siblings that Klarion had that died back a while back but Mom got granddad who's apparently the time lord AKA Cronos which is a whole another long story to go back in time and save those kids get them fixed up and now Klarion technicality has seven older siblings which all do their own things
And then he starts mentioning his uncle who is a 9 ft yeti his technicality auntie who is a medieval ghost princess who can turn into a dragon his auntie Pandora and his his grandfather cronos
My names for the six other clone children are Donald (he/him), Cecelia (they/she), Bartholomew(Them/They), Kyle AKA Bite(He/It), Brutus(He/They), and then there's Danna (She/Her) who actually really like the name Dan and asked Klarion if could have it when Klarion changed his name
Sorry if this is a little bit too much I've just really been thinking about au for this after the last part you made I hope this helps you with your writing or at least makes you laugh but I really love the idea of Danny's AKA somewhat clone children and finding their own personalities and and fighting themselves out of just being failed clone of their mom also I love the idea of Danny going back in time to save the rest of the clone kids cuz now he's a mature adult who wants to save their lives and wants them to grow into their own people.
(≧▽≦)
I probably did way to much research into all the fandoms I am in to see what I could tie into this... And yet this feels shorter than it should but I also currently lack the time to add more. But for now I hope this will be satisfactorily.
Also this family tree idea especially the part of saving the melted clones. LOVE IT!
So even though it took me a while! here is Part 4 you inspired! Thanks so much for the ask!
------------------
"Dude, you are making us only curious!" Impulse spoke up as he sat down next to Klarion who had his head in his hands. "Like you and your mom can't just drop your family lore like that!"
The witch boy on the other hand looked up with narrowed eyes at the speedster. "What lore?"
"Let's see, the part that apparently a Vlad tried to kill your Grandpa to make friends several time. That your mom is 'ghost' adopted by the lord of time Cronos and Pandora, which makes us family too by the way, and that you have a sister that apparently is even crazier than what we got to know of your family so far." Wonder Girl counted off her fingers next to him grinning as she mentioned the part of probably being a part of his 'crazy' family too. Which hell yea, that sounded like a lot of fun to be explored she would have to talk with Wonder Woman about that as soon as possible.
"Also..." Red Robin added as he flipped through the photo album that apparently no one remembered he had. He was turning it around and pointed at a particular photo with a wild bunch of people in it that varied between more human and well... less humanoid people. One of them definitely was a Yeti and there was also what looked like living armor as well as Teekly (they knew that demon cat at least), a giant green dog and for some reasons there was a green aggressive looking Octopus in the background too. "...how are you related to a Yeti?"
"Hey that man there and those other teens in the picture actually have some resembles with you! Do you have older brothers too?" Superboy additionally asked as he moved around Red Robin to see the photo better pointing at a man that appeared to be in this late twenties, blue eyed, black haired and a little on the buffer side. If he didn't know any better and the fact that he should keep his mouth shut about their actual identities he would have jokingly asked Red Robin if his family would like to add more kids considering Klarions family apparently had a bunch of black haired blue eyed members too, judging by the photo at least.
"What are you talking about. That man is my mom and yes the others are actually my older brothers and that Yeti is uncle Frostbite who also happens to be the best medic in the Infinite Realms" The four teen heroes looked stunned at the picture and then back at the Ghost King that was smiling at them, still seated by the dinner table with their mentors. Who by the way were now perking up at the change of topic and the information they could gain with it, well Wonder Woman was more interested in the apparently extended family she had.
"Oh I remember we took this photo last year, it was such a hassle to get everyone into one place with them all being busy doing their own things." Danny mused for a moment, remembering fondly how he had to literally drag some of the kids home through a portal.
"It was more annoying than anything too since I was declared to be the youngest...." Klarion muttered also remembering that day not as fondly as his mother.
"Wait, wait, wait! That is a picture of your family? I need an explanation buddy!" Impulse cut in without shame, quickly removing the picture from the photo album to get a better look at it before holding it out to Klarion so he could explain all the individuals. "Plus why does your mom look soooo.... human?"
The witch boy on the other hand stared at him for a couple of seconds before looking over towards his mother as if waiting for something. After a moment the teen heroes as well as their mentors saw Danny nod with a little smile. "This dimension doesn't have the GIW so its fine, the Justice League Dark won't be a problem either, right?." Constantine flinched at the smile the Ghost King was giving him, muttering something under his breath as he had hoped his presence had been forgotten.
"Since mom is giving his okay...." Klarion mutter sitting crosslegged on the ground as he snatched the photo album from Red Robin and flipped through it. "Lets start with the easiest stuff to explain."
Danny chuckled noticing that not only the teen heroes but their mentors as well showed an interest. He choose to stay quiet letting the adults listen in on the kids, and if things went bad he would just ask Clockwork if they could revert time back to this moment and he would change his nod of permission to a shake of denial.
"Okay first of, this is my mom and his sister Jasmine, this is Danielle my older sister and that hulk with flaming white hair and blueish skin is me. That was before I got deaged because of destabilising." Klarion explained flipping to a photo of him, Danny, Jazz and Danielle. "Mom was around fifteen, Aunt Jazz about seventeen and Ellie should have been about a year old but she was aged up to twelve. They look human in this one because well they are. Mom was originally human and became what you call in this dimension a Meta through an accident."
"Wait... that would mean your mom... How could he have two kids at that age of fourteen? You look like an adult and your sister was aged up?" Wonder Girl couldn't help but ask as she looked from the photo and back to Danny at the dinner table again.
"That's cause Vlad was a fu-"
"Language Klarion!"
"Vlad was a fruitloop. That photo was taken shortly after Vlad and I sort of redeemed our selfs. Plus, mom didn't really have my sister and me willingly.... we were kind of forced upon him in a way." Klarion explained shrugging. "Old Man Vlad had an obsession with his mom that then turned on mom, which resulted in my oldest sister Danielle first. Actually, a lot of my elder siblings resulted from that, but they didn't survive it the first time, Mom got Old Man Clocks help to save them once he got used to being the Ghost King. I got added to the mix shortly after my sister, but... i wasn't in the best state of mind at first, kind of went through a redemption phase in which mom had to fix the timeline of our original home dimension, too."
Danny chuckled again at the disturbed looks the teens were giving his son as well as the looks their mentors sent him. He probably should correct Klarion's wording... but being one of the gremlins of his family he just smiled on, not commenting. He really understands now why Pops Clockwork liked watching the chaos he used to cause as teen, and still sometimes causes as adult.
"Klarion... how old is this Old Man Vlad?" Red Robin asked grimacing as his eyes under the mask flicked up to the Ghost King and then back to the witch boy both seemingly unbothered by the disturbing information they were sharing.
"In human years... probably around 67? You stop counting age at some point if your a halfa." Klarion shrugged, not noticing the grimaces of the teens around him. "Anyway, Ellie is sort of the first born. I came in after that, with my core being a mix of Mom and Vlad. Not DNA wise though since I came to be because of their ghost cores. That's why I look like that in this photo. Though human DNA wise I am probably now mostly Moms, we never bothered to ask the old man."
Danny muffled another chuckle, coughing as Superman sent him an incredulous look of shook while he felt Batmans burning gaze on him.
"You... mentioned more siblings?" Red Robin asked carefully sharing a look with his team, feeling like there was a whole lot of trauma in Klarions family he wasn't sure they should address or not. So asking after his siblings was probably, hopefully the safest option. They didn't know that while there was trauma in the witch boy's family it was not the kind they were imagining.
"Yea I got a bunch more brothers, Vlad was a evil crazy fuitloop, before he redeemed himself. They all kind of melted in one timeline but mom and Grandpa Clock found a way to save them." Klarion nodded flipping to another photo containing him, as he looked now, and all his siblings.
"So, Ellie you know about already. The one with the sunglasses and died hair is Bartholomew, second oldest. They made themselves a home in other dimension, barely at home cause he has to much fun messing with something called a 'Starstream' by being a 'Constellation' and throwing gold coins at 'Incarnations'. Don't ask me what that means, I barely pay attention when he gushes about his favorit 'Incarnation'. They spent like all their money and pocket money there. Aunt Jazz thinks he might develop a gambling addiction if we don't stop his spendings." The teen heroes eyed the teen that looked like a young adult grinning in the photo as the witch boy pointed at the one next to them. "The one with the vile is my elder brother Bite, most responsible one of this bunch. Mom even allowed him to take care of a couple of dimensions by taking the role of being their God of Death. I think he messed them up more than helped but he is doing a somewhat good job, even if he is sort of obsessed with making some red head his saint or something..."
"One of your sibs is a God?" Impulse gabbed and Klarion just blinked at him with a shrug. "My Grandfather is the ruler of Time, your point is? Wonder Girl is also related to a God of your dimension."
"Never mind him, moving on." A yelp resounded as Superboy pushed Impulse head down leaning in more to see the photo better. "You got one emo looking brother there!"
"Oh that's Yamikumo, he is like a year or two older than me right now, in human years. He barely got any of mom's powers so he choose to try to life a somewhat normal life but weirdly enough he choose a dimension that is ruled by people who have powers and abilities, you know like the Meta Humans of this dimension. Now that I think about it, he is also the only one who actually is studying on how to be a Hero."
"Do you end up fighting with him if he studies to be a hero?" Wonder Girl whisper asked him with a quick glance towards their mentors, to which Klarion shook his head. "As long as we leave the dimensions one of us choose to live in alone we usually don't fight about stuff like that, aside from the usual sibling fights that is. Then again I do have some siblings that like to make bets like who is better at ruling as demon lord, or who can safe a dying timeline quicker."
Danny chuckled again as he watched the kids, Klarion had definitely caused some misunderstandings with his wording. Then again it wasn't like Klarion said anything that wasn't true, but then again his son loved chaos. So there was a suspicion that Klarion intentionally choose the way he worded the explanation about how he and Ellie came to be as well as the rest of siblings.
"So....." Superman slowly started wondering how he should bring up the topic. "...you became a mom at 14?"
"Say Danny is there a way for me to meet this Vlad? You know since we are family." Wonder Woman also asked smiling in a certain way that reminded Danny of Valerie when she was mad but didn't want to show right away how mad she was, to which the Ghost King on reflex could do nothing but gulp for a moment. Not noticing that a green post it note appeared on the table before him.

Kingmaker, Kingbreaker, Crowntaker, Realmshaker (DC x DP)
Idk how many people who follow me know but I love my notfics so here...
A Kingmaker Danny Phantom where he's not (technically) king after defeating Pariah Dark because he's still uhm… a child (who is untrained in diplomacy and barely knows anything about Ghost Culture), but whoever replaces Pariah is fully aware than Danny could at any time beat them up and install someone else in their place. Maybe it's not even explicit and Danny doesn't know.
Pandora tells him: "Oh, we got a new king of the ghost zone, nah, you don't know her but she's tight with me and Frostbite. But we're not really having her use the crown and ring, they're going to be for emergencies only." and Danny is like "oh cool, my buddies approve of the new king, I don't need to be further involved!" but because of this assumption, he doesn't go to the coronation, and it turns into a huge source of tension because like:
"Why should we be concerned about any decrees given by the new king, when at literally any moment, Danny Phantom, the BAMF, the myth, the legend, is probably going to show up and give a legendary smackdown and make this ghost Pariah's new roomie?" Then some of Danny's long-time foes start to play very nice with him, in the hopes that when (not if) Danny decides to replace the new king that they might be in the running for a minor barony or something under the new regime. Danny does not think this about-face through, just thinking 'oh this is neat! how convenient that everyone wants to be my friend now!' Ghosts often refer to him as 'ghost child' and I love the idea of him being the little brother of the entirety of the amity park-adjacent section of the infinity realms. Johnny could teach him how to ride a motorbike, skulker could teach him some ghost engineering (assuming he is involved in the construction of his own suit) etc. These rumours of the upcoming 'next king' who doesn't even exist, of course gets back to the new king and she's like
"idk what I have done to anger Kingbreaker Danny, he hasn't even given me a chance!" SO!!! She decides to reach out to some humans she knows for advice on how to win over a little boy (her creepy insinuation very much unintended on her part). Here are some options of varying hilarity for how she could go because I couldn't pick just one!
Vlad!: Your standard, non-crossover option. I personally love redeemed Vlad content (maybe Maddy crosses a line and his Obsession with her snaps), and this could be amusing if the king doesn't give many details so he doesn't realise it's Danny, and then when he does realise, freaks out about having adoptive parent competition.
Constantine/Zatanna: Both magic-y people, they could have summoned her at one point before or after her coronation.
Wonder Woman!!: If the king knows Pandora maybe Pandora referred her as an old buddy of some of the gods or other amazons. The king could just say they need to talk to a human expert not connected to Danny without giving more detail and pandora could say "oh yeah, the gods who created me have some human-ish relatives and one of them even lives with other humans. she's basically my cousin!" meanwhile Diana has never met pandora and doesn't know anything about her outside of the OG myth.
Superman: Danny shares a lot of superman's powers, plus they both have that OP vibe, PLUS share the "one foot in each world" type of thing that could lead the king to think he was the best option. Unsure why they would've met so reaching out as a stranger would add a different vibe.
The Flash: his speed powers canonically come from another dimension that he calls the speed force. do you know what is also another dimension? the ghost zone. The flash is that annoying neighbour who occasionally dangles an extension cord over your fence to use your electricity, and will not stop using your Wi-Fi because it runs faster than his. The king figures he owes her and if he won't then she'll change the speed force Wi-Fi password...metaphorically.
Actually, you know what, ghost king threatening all speedsters on Earth if they don't help her woo a teenager is the funniest option. So, we’re continuing with that. Obviously, the flash doesn't want to lose his abilities! But also, this smacks of a creepy grooming situation. The flash then has to awkwardly explain to the entire justice league that his speed is being held hostage by a dead cougar who wants to seduce a human teenage boy for reasons that may be illicit but are jenky at the very least. There are hundreds of Danny joins the batfam fics so I don't think this story needs to go in that direction, but batman would probably have to be involved at this point just to figure out who the "teenage victim" is. That is how Danny Fenton meets most of the main justice league with them not even having an inkling he's dead/secretly a ghost hero. Most batpham fics I've read where the batclan figures out Phantom's identity, they see him fight ghosts and look up ghost experts, find his parents, see a family photo and then make the visual connection. Like superman, Danny's identity is mostly in the clear because no one would think that a ghost would even have a secret identity - he's dead (and thanks to the time travel he's done appears to have been dead for centuries), who would he need to be protecting?? But this time, the ghosts are all playing buddy-buddy with Danny so phantom hasn't necessarily had any super public fights recently that would make investigating protections against ghost attacks a priority for the bats that would lead them to holding up a picture of Danny next to a picture of phantom. Mostly, Danny goes ghost to play with cujo (I love cujo), or visit the ghost zone. Casper high students are BAFFLED at Fenton's eclectic friend group btw, though considering his parents the ghost dog totally tracks for them. *GASP* service dog Cujo....but that's another post for another time. Jasmine Fenton is not impressed. This could also be Sam or Tucker, or any of Danny's newest ghost buddies if you like but as an oldest sibling I have OPINIONS. She thinks Danny is safest taking this perv ghost on himself and not risking a possessed/overshadowed justice league or even just the justice league themselves. That's right kids, the justice league is often in canon closely associated with the USA government - the same government who put the anti-ecto acts into place. NOW! a lot of crossover fics have the justice league completely clueless about the anti-ecto laws and GIW. I don't always find that realistic. The entirety of the justice league dark is pretty closely involved with the dead and ghosts (deadman IS a ghost), clark is an investigative journalist married/dating/besties with another, award winning investigative journalist, Bruce is the most paranoid and well informed man alive with two sons plus one batgirl who have died and been brought back through mystical or scientific means, Diana is (in some canons) meant to be an ambassador representing her people to the entirety of mankind. So, none of them even being vaguely aware of this new law does NOT track for me. I think a few possibilities are...possible: - They know about the laws, read a few scientific papers on ecto-entities written by "experts" which would include the Fenton parents and pre-redemption Vlad, and think 'yeah that checks out no reason to fight this' - They know but as they rarely deal with the national justice system as a team, and therefore don't think about it as a positive or negative thing. It doesn't apply to their lives. Think about how much you know about your local laws, let alone obscure federal ones (in some parts of Australia it’s illegal to be holding more than 50kg of potatoes, just as a random example!). - Some of them agree with the "experts" or don't even know about the laws, whereas Batman, John Constantine and Martian Manhunter know they're a crock of shit but themselves lack the political capital to fight them without leverage and can't justify it without an emergency.
Danny's ghost buddies are told that apparently some ghost is threatening the justice league to get to Danny and go back into the zone to investigate. I genuinely think once their obsessions are no longer at cross purposes, Danny could totally help ghosts to fulfil their obsessions in ways they hadn't considered, and they could be buddies for real now. Think Tucker setting Ember up with a YouTube or streaming account, playing paintball with Skulker, introducing Walker to one of those uber-elaborate RPG or tabletop games with massive amounts of rules and letting him be like Matt Mercer in the Rules Lawyer round of Um, Actually. There’s an entire separate fic here I swear.
Either way! Jazz is trying to warn her brother away from the justice league while he and probably Tucker are all 🤩. Danny knows it's dangerous for him personally but his Obsession with protecting the town knows that Amity has never been safer with all these heroes milling about so it's hard for him not to be over eager and relaxed. The flash is explaining how his powers could be removed if he doesn’t comply and Danny says, “oh then just tell her?” and the league is like “oh no, not another self-sacrificing teen.” Unfortunately for everyone involved, Superman has super hearing. He heard Jazz telling Danny to kick the Justice League to the curb. Now the Justice League thinks there's something foul in the Fenton household, but they think it's Jazz instead of Danny.

The Justice Leagues reaction to Danny dating someone
i pity the person who has to meet all of danny’s adoptive families. here’s how i imagine it going:
danny introduces you to sam and tucker first. they are over protective and demand that you at least have some things in common with them because you’ll be spending a lot of time with them too. if you don’t know danny’s secret identity they won’t approve of the relationship at all.
you meet jazz and she’ll psychoanalyze you and give you a terrifying shovel talk but otherwise be supportive.
you meet his parents and they aim weapons at you and threaten you but are really supportive and excited that danny found someone to date.
you meet val and she gives you the kind of shovel talk that’ll make you wet your pants.
you meet dani and she’s pretty chill because she figures danny has enough body guards that he’ll be fine.
if you’ve made it this far you are metal as heck and have a pretty solid relationship with danny. congratulations.
if you’re close enough that Danny wants to introduce you to the league you’re in deep. you have to know danny’s secret identity to make it this far.
batman will give you such a thorough background check that your ancestors will feel it. i hope you haven’t done anything wrong. he won’t actually threaten you he’ll just stare at you until your uncomfortable.
wonder woman is chill about it. so long as you don’t hurt him, she’s cool.
superman will warn you not to hurt him but otherwise be really supportive and kind to you guys. though he might also be a bit old fashioned about it and tell danny he’s too young to date.
the vast majority of the rest of the league will either say you’re too young or be slightly jealous. you can expect at least three to five of your dates to be spied on and at that point danny will get annoyed and try to take you somewhere more private. he’s been steadily getting angry this entire time because it’s no one else’s business who he dates and obviously he trusts you.
god tier patience to you if you’ve made it this far. good job. most of the doubters from the first group are now on your side.
to get away from the spies, because finding privacy on earth when people have superpowers is hard, he takes you to the ghost zone.
most of his enemy’s will try to attack you or laugh at you and danny will attack them and let out some of his aggression and try to find a better place for a date.
many of his ghost allies are supportive and trust danny to make good decisions but some won’t really understand how healthy human relationships work so expect things to get weird.
johny and kitty will probably use you and danny to work out some of their relationship issues so that should be interesting.
clockwork will be the final judge on whether the relationship will work. if he says it won’t danny will either listen and sadly break up with you or stubbornly refuse to listen and chaos will follow.
but if you get past clockwork it means you’re meant to be. you’ll probably get married in the future! hooray!
also expect the entirety of your relationship to be plagued by vlad being a nosy abusive jerk. he might try to kill you, he’ll probably kidnap you a lot and he’ll project some of his issues onto you. he’ll be gross is what i’m saying
if you’re going to date danny it’d probably help to have super powers or at least some great tech. normal people need not apply.

I always loved the relationship between Danny and Dani, and I love the fics where she was much younger than the show portrayed her to be. The Dad!Danny fics make me so happy ;w; In turn, when watching Young Justice, I was so angry towards Superman and most of the League for acting so aloof around Conner Kent? He was in an impossible situation he couldn’t control, so I had a bit of a more angry Danny chewing out the team about it.
It was well known that Danny Phantom was one of the strongest members of the Justice League, as his powers rivalled that of Superman’s. He was a ghost, the first ghost superhero on Earth, and the Human Zone was glad to have him fighting for them. Phantom was reclusive towards the public, not liking press for fear of misinformation, as has happened to him before. Phantom was, however, very open to his team, and although he didn’t outright tell his life (afterlife?) story, but he answered questions honestly and openly.
One thing that the team didn’t know, was that Phantom had any family members on Earth.
Of course, they knew he had a strange relation with some adults on the living realm (all coming from his home town, Amity Park). Phantom’s strange, almost sibling-like, relationship with Gotham’s lead psychiatrist had always made the young adult happier. His friendships with Samantha Manson, a leading botanist, and Tucker Foley, a technology millionaire, had constantly had the few housing their ghost hero. Other than those three, the Justice League had just assumed that Danny had died a long time ago with no family to speak of.
That was, until they were interrupted during a conference.
Phantom was acting a bit disinterested as Batman was talking about resolving some sort of conflict with the press (Danny didn’t see what the big deal was. It was one construction site. It could’ve been so much worse). His form was hovering slightly above the chair as he sat next to Superman, who was offering different ways to soothe the PR problem. Phantom curled a lip and sneered a bit, “Why are people getting so butthurt about this? We’ve done worse damage before.”
“Yes, but this was to the construction site of a hospital, Danny,” Superman sighed, trying to make the ghost see the reason for this. He wondered how long ago Danny must’ve died to not see the point in an infirmary, “Phantom, the city needs a hospital because-”
A light hiss passed through the ghost’s lips, “Supes, I know what a hospital is, I’m just wondering why the city is angry. I mean, it was still in construction. It’s not like they couldn’t just start over; and besides, the city has three hospitals already.” Phantom sighed. He kicked a foot on his chair, taking advantage of the lack of gravity he seemed to possess, and flipped himself upside down, “Can’t we just help the city build it?”
Flash’s eyebrows raised slightly at the ghost’s position, but nodded, “I mean, if we helped with the construction, we could do the work in half the time.”
“That’s a nice proposition,” Batman nodded gruffly, his voice low, “When should I tell the-” A whirling sound cut him off, and all the Leaguers looked around warily, many slipping into battle stances. Phantom, in particular, had the oddest reaction. His head tilted to the side, his ears perked up a bit, as if he was trying to pinpoint the location.
And then the mist came from his mouth. Everyone knew that that sign meant a ghost attack was about to occur, and even Danny flipped himself back to his normal attack position, his hands glowing green. The sound grew louder and louder, before a radioactive green spark , the same color as Phantom’s glowing eyes, appeared above the large table. A portal was opening-!
And then a black and white blur charged towards Phantom, barreling him over onto the floor. The team all held their weapons respectively, some just holding their fists, at the sight of the flustered ghost, who’s hair was flying in every direction possible. The most surprising addition to the ghost, however, was the…. Smaller ghost hugging him?
“Daddy! You wouldn’t believe how much me and Wulf have been learning from Frostbite!” A small girl smiled widely, showing small canines and two dimples on her cheeks, similar to Danny’s, “I learned how to make portals just like you!”
A hushed silence fell over the Leaguers as they heard the child shout ‘daddy’. She looked to be barely seven, white hair in a loose ponytail and glowing green eyes. Their shock at the child seemed palpable, as if Phantom could touch the suspense and tension filling the air. But Danny knew that Danielle would feel worried if he did not give her a proper response, “Thats great, sweetheart! Does that mean Wulf is nearby?”
“Nope!” She grinned again, and on closer observation, a few of her teeth were missing, “I wanted to see you and Aunt Jazz and Sam and Tuck by myself.” A cheek puffed out, almost like she was offended that he thought otherwise.
“That’s very dangerous, Ellie. What if a stray ghost saw you? You know how most feel about me and you, pumpkin.” He kissed her lightly on the forehead, his mood lifted from seeing his ‘daughter’, “But I am always happy to see my little girl.”
She giggled before looking away from her ‘father’, seeing all of the heroes. Her face instantly lit up a bright green in embarrassment, seemingly ashamed for interrupting… whatever they were doing beforehand. Superman opened his mouth to ask something, but Flash beat everyone, and spoke first, “So… ghosts can have kids. Who knew?”
The League was then greeted by two blushing ghosts. Phantom buried his face in Danielle’s hair, not wanting to look at his team, “It’s… not that simple, Barry.”
Phantom took a few seconds simply to collect his thoughts by murmuring to his daughter small terms of endearment, and it seemed to calm him down before he looked up and spoke, “I’d uh, like you all to meet someone very close to me.”
A clearing of his throat later, and he smiled shakily up at the superheroes, “This is Danielle, or Ellie, as we all call her. She’s my child.” Ellie smiled up at everyone as her father spoke, “I can explain the whole thing later, but for now, I’m, uh, going to show her to Jazz.” He seemed to be using the excuse as a cop-out, and was met with small glares from everyone.
Superman wasn’t impressed with his answer, “Danny, I thought you didn’t have any family relations anymore.”
“Technically, you never asked.” Danny blushed again, “Of course I have living family. Ellie’s just very much more closely related to me than others…” He cleared his throat once more, “Ellie dear, these are some of my teammates. You know some, remember? They were on the news a while back.”
Her eyes lit up and she smiled shyly, “Yeah! I remember the rope-lady with my name!”
“Her name is Diana, not Danielle, but yeah, Wonder Woman’s here.” He gestured to the woman, who tentatively waved at the small, beaming girl who seemed to love the attention from her way too much.
Flash held his hands up, “Woah, so are we not going to address that Casper here lied about his family? And that apparently he has a daughter he never thought to tell us about?”
“It is a bit suspicious, Danny,” Superman mused, a hand rubbing his chin.
Wonder Woman raised an eyebrow, “Where is the mother?” “Is she a ghost like you?”
“How can something dead make life?”
“Why haven’t you told us?!”
“Stop it!” Danielle shouted, holding herself closely to the chest of her father to block out all the noises from others, “I’m not daddy’s real daughter anyway… “
Danny rolled his eyes as everyone became completely confused at the small, quiet statement from the child, but went to comfort his daughter, “Now, baby girl, you know that you’re my little ice flower, no matter how we are related, yes?”
“Yeah, I know, dad.” She murmured as Phantom reached over and brushed her white locks from off her shoulders. Danielle looked over at the heroes before whispering over to her father, “Daddy, I think you should tell them about what Uncle Vlad did.”
Batman’s interest piqued, “Vlad, as in your archnemesis-turned-ally Vlad?”
Danny seemed to flinch, remembering that the heroes were in the room watching them, “Y-yeah, that Vlad.” He was silent for a moment, not wanting to continue with the conversation. Danny knew it would come up eventually, but figured he’d have more time to prepare himself for this day, “Maybe you should leave as I tell them, Ellie. Aunt Jazz is seven streets north and two buildings left, alright?”
Most of the team seemed appalled at the thought of him leaving her alone to try and find the psychiatrist, but realized she had flight just as Phantom did. She nodded before giving him a big kiss on the cheek and floating away as she waved goodbye to everyone.
Phantom smiled wistfully at the small girl before turning his gaze to the league members. He opened his mouth, and then closed it. He repeated this process a few times to no avail before finally sitting down in his chair with his snowy hair being the only part of him visible. Wonder Woman tilted her, questioning him, “Phantom, why have you wanted to keep your daughter a secret from us? We are a team.”
A glowing green eye met her before it lazily circled the room, landing on Superman, “Clark. Do you remember CADMUS? And Project Kr?”
Superman’s eyes widened, and he seemed to be uncomfortable with him mentioning it, “Yes, I remember. Are you saying that… Danielle is…”
“Yeah,” Phantom murmured, tugging on a piece of his hair, “You guys all look so uncomfortable when you speak of clones, and I understand. But you all, with the exceptions of Black Canary, Red Tornado, and occasionally Batman, had treated Connor as if he was… beneath you. Like because he was a clone, he wasn’t worth as much as a human or kryptonian because he wasn’t the original.”
He looked up, watching the shocked expressions on his team’s faces, but looked away to watch his much more interested boots instead, “You could imagine my surprise as a fourteen-year-old that my enemy had tried to clone me,  but couldn’t get the chromosomes right, or the aging right. Vlad had created a baby girl out of my DNA.”
Silence stayed in the air as they waited patiently for Phantom to continue. He took another shaky breath before trying to speak again, “It… It was so hard trying to raise a child while trying to save the city everyday, you know?” He gave a light chuckle, but it didn’t do anything to lighten the mood. He gave a deep sigh and continued with the same unnatural calmness he seemed to always possess, “She acts… nothing like me. I wasn’t as loud as her as a child, I was definitely more scared of everything around me. She’s so brave, and different, and unique. Danielle is her own person, and she’s amazing.”
He looked up, fierce determination in his eyes, as if daring anyone to question him, “After seeing the indifference from everyone toward Connor, I knew I would never wish to tell you about Danielle. You would do only the same to her, and no one gets to hurt my baby girl.”
Wonder Woman leaned over a bit, resting a hand on the younger one’s arm, “You know if we knew the situation, we wouldn’t have-”
“But you would!” He shouted, actually practically roared. His eyes glowed even brighter, and his canines a bit more pronounced. It was a frightening yet small display of power that kept everyone uneasy, “You’ve seen how Connor acts. Defensive, unsure of himself, scared. And yet, you treat him as if that should happen to him, as if it was his fault to even exist. Of course I wouldn’t tell any of you! After seeing it, I was so disgusted that I contemplated leaving this team for good!”
Superman swallowed, suddenly not wanting to have the conversation about his clone. It was strangely invasive, and personal to have this sudden attack on the league from their ally, their friend. Suddenly, Phantom’s attachment to Superboy made much more sense. “If I had told you about Ellie, you would’ve thought I was crazy for raising her. And in turn, if she were to ever visit her father, you would’ve treated her the exact same way as you treat Connor. Think of the effects that would have on a small six-year-old? She would’ve been so hurt that her so-called heroes would never like her because of how she was born, something that she had no control over!”
The other hero who was actually cloned successfully frowned and opened his mouth, ready to speak, but Phantom held up a hand, “Nah, I’m out. Going to hang out with my kid until I can calm down enough to talk to you guys again.” He floated upwards, his eyes not really focusing on anyone, before pausing, “Black Canary, Red Tornado, Bats? If you want to join, I’ll be at Jazz’s.” And he was gone.
The team had a lot to talk about.

so... that dracula untold movie...
it was actually quite awesome? not my typical genre of movies, but i liked it a lot. (thanks, luke evans!)
it was overall just a stunning film to watch??? the direction was actually perfect, and from a cinematic standpoint, it was gorgeous. the sets were beautiful, the costumes were beautiful and so artistic, and the cgi was actually seamless? you really didn’t know where reality ended and the graphics began, it was great.
it was a lot more violent than i expected, which was surprising for a pg-13 movie. true, despite all the killing, there wasn’t too much blood, just enough to reassure us that yes, this is still a vampire movie, but still, very violent. i had to look away a few times bc all the swords cutting limbs off and going through men was a bit too disturbing to watch. maybe that’s just representative of the time period and brutality of war.
the acting did push the boundaries just a little in terms of what was convincing and what was a little overdone, but in general, it was pretty good. though honestly, my focus was mostly on luke, who was great, if i do say so myself.
i guess i do have to talk about vlad, then, specifically, bc wow. what an wonderful character. comparable to gaston in the “i have to protect my people” belief, but far more redeemable, especially considering how much of a family man he is, and what he was willing to do in order to keep them safe (in other words, spoiler: sacrifice himself). i also just never thought that in watching a movie about dracula, i’d actually be rooting for him? bc of the name and the history of the character, you think he’ll be mostly a villain or perhaps an anti-hero, but no. this guy was full-on hero in this movie. i was rooting for him from start to finish. and honestly? that’s so refreshing to see. monster characters don’t have to be pure evil. they can have hearts and good intentions despite perhaps causing too much destruction. i wonder if the rest of the dark universe will be like this, where the monsters become a bit more... human.
(the mummy is being advertised as a pure monster film but is highly speculated as being nick morton’s origin into becoming the mummy himself, so maybe this is the path they’re going to take with the universe... unless the supposed failure of dracula untold to launch the universe caused them to scrap the whole idea of ‘monsters having some humanity’ and they’re just gonna go full-on evil from now on.)
one thing i want to note that i found amusing: looking at vlad’s mouth whenever his fangs would pop out, it almost looked like he had a double set of them going on. like there were the main, super sharp ones, and then little smaller ones right behind them. when i first watched the trailers/clips of the film, that’s what i thought it was, and it was done intentionally. but now after watching the movie, i realize that that probably isn’t the case: the baby fangs, as i’ll call them, were just luke’s natural teeth. they obviously had to give him fake fangs so he can look like a true dracula, but the little ones behind them were just his natural fang-like teeth. i just found it interesting, and kind of cute. especially considering the fact that luke had to wear fake teeth for batb so his little fangs wouldn’t show. (let him have his cute little fangs, dammit!)
ooh, also - the bat control powers, oh my god, they were so cool! i was so into the scene where he controlled the bats to take down the soldiers, i thought it was awesome, and i was already foreseeing some kind of epic future monster team-up where they’re taking down some greater evil and vlad uses those powers in battle. i would just love to see that used some more.
and last thing: that ending. fantastic. perfect way to end the film, since it’s, you know, kind of obvious that vamps are immortal, so it makes sense that drac would still be alive in the modern day. who the guy is that became is servant and helped bring him back to life? yeah, i dunno, i missed something there. but i definitely liked the fact that drac didn’t stay dead in the end. oh! and his reunion with his wife - or, well, her in her next life, that is, that was wonderful and oh-so sweet. i’m so glad he got a happy ending with her, bc he deserves it. but the hint at a future battle between him and the original vampire guy? ooh, yes. give it to me. make a sequel, please, i’ll help fund it, since universal seems hesitant to keep luke’s drac in the dark universe.
which brings me to this: should this movie stay in the dark universe? yes. you can’t have a monster universe without drac. universal probably does want to incorporate drac into said universe, but is toying with the idea of recasting the role. why, though, when luke was so great? he’s a perfect dracula, and would make an excellent addition to the universe. sure, the reviews weren’t great for the film, but it was a box office success! and besides, man of steel, batman v superman, and suicide squad did poorly in terms of critics’ reviews, but the dceu is still going! and that’s shaping up to redeem itself with the release of wonder woman. so clearly warner brothers doesn’t let some bad reviews get in the way of them creating a cinematic universe, so why should universal let that get them down?
i say luke’s drac should be part of the universe. dracula untold was perhaps a shaky start to a universe, but overall a good one. you need to make a few mistakes at the beginning before you find your footing. the mummy could fix those mistakes. but dracula untold should remain the beginning of the universe.
besides, if luke doesn’t seem like enough of a star considering the fact that the universe now has tom cruise, javier bardem, and johnny depp, just remember: he is a lead in the tenth highest grossing film of all time. if that’s not star power, i don’t know what is. (and there, he essentially plays a monster, so is continuing to play drac much of a stretch for him? no.)
also, we all saw the mummy trailer. what takes down the plane that kills nick? bats. who can control bats? dracula.
ahmanet and drac are already working together. *mic drop*

The Super-Switch
(part 4)
Monday was coming too quickly and Danny was starting to panic.
The heroes that were sent to search for Desiree were coming up empty, the Flash having made a wish that ended with him buried under a mountain of pizza. Whether that was an accident or not remained to be seen. It was starting to look like the chosen heroes were spending more time trying to fix the chaos Desiree was making than defeating Desiree herself. It was frustrating because Danny knew he and his friends would have handled this within the day of her escape.
He had already contacted his friends and let them know what was happening. Neither could get away from Amity to help hunt the ghost but they were going to offer there services as soon as they could.
Superman and Danny's house arrest was also starting to get noticed. Well, Superman’s disappearance more than Danny's. Danny was sure his parents were jumping to the conclusion that he was planning something nefarious and big, and Val was probably missing her punching bag but at least the ghosts were being handled back home. Dani was always willing to lend a hand when he got tied up with league business and he’ll love her forever for that.
For the most part, the training with each others powers was going well. Danny was surprised at how nice it felt to fly while alive and warm and also tall. If he was being completely honest, Superman was pretty much the best person you could magically get turned into. He was handsome and strong, he was indestructible and everyone liked him. More people have said hi to him since he’s become Superman than the sum of Danny's entire high school experience. It was nice. Plus EXTRA BONUS: he could still fly! He’d really miss that power if he lost it.
Superman was having a harder time, but in Danny's opinion not nearly as hard as of time as Danny had when he first got turned into a ghost. Maybe having a teacher really did help. If Vlad weren’t so much of a fruit loop it might have been nice to have a mentor.
But despite his insistence that Sups was doing well, Superman has been a lot more frustrated with his progress. He hasn’t lost his optimism and his determination to improve was admirable. Danny wondered if his face would hurt from all the smiling Superman was doing with it. But Superman it turns out was actually incredibly hard on himself. The fact that they were both presently bared from helping people was also clearly bothering him.
Danny felt a similar need, though the fact that it wasn’t colored by the normal cold desperation of his core was strange. Maybe that was why Superman was struggling so much! Maybe he just wasn’t used to the feeling of obsession. He needed to tell him as soon as possible but that would have to come with the rest of his speech...
See, Danny needed to go home and be Fenton tomorrow. Lancer had made it very clear that he couldn’t get away with an absence or a tardy. If he didn’t make up this test tomorrow, he would be suspended form school and his parents would be called and he’d even have to attend a hearing about it. He had to be at school tomorrow. Lancer wasn’t going to give him anymore chances.
But as it stood, he couldn’t attend as superman and the team of ghost hunting heroes weren’t any closer to changing them back. So Superman would have to attend school for him as Fenton.
Which meant Danny would have to tell Superman about Fenton.
Monday was coming too quickly.
Superman watched as Phantom rambled, impressed at how much the boy could say without saying anything. It would be a good talent to have with the press. As a reporter he had a vested interest in the truth but as a hero he could see the good in being able to keep one’s secrets.
“Danny, could you please get to the point,” he asked patiently. It’d been a trying week and while he’s been rather irritable lately, that was hardly Phantom’s fault. He was in the same boat after all and he wasn’t the one who made the wish. Phantom had also been trying his best to help him master his new powers, so Superman wasn’t in the position to hold a grudge against him.
He was presently more disappointed in himself. While he stood by his argument that Phantom could stand to be more responsible, he was the one who stated the fight and he was the one who messed up. Because of his mistake people were now in danger and he couldn’t do anything to help them. He couldn’t stop thinking about it. He needed to be out there saving people, but until he could control Phantom’s powers he wouldn’t be able to save anyone. It was a frustrating contradiction and it was eating away at him
“Right.” Phantom was saying. “OK. OK, we just gotta rip the band-aid off. Just get it over with and then explain. Right. I can do this. OK. Superman I want you to reach inside your chest and find the warm spot.”
Superman blinked at the hero. The warm spot?
Ever since he’d become Phantom he’d been practically numb with cold. As far as he could tell ghosts weren’t supposed to be warm. Did this have to do with the core Danny kept talking about?
Superman closed his eyes and sure enough, Danny wasn’t wrong. There was a feeling a warmth near his heart, almost hot compared to the rest of his body. Superman mentally held onto the warmth and suddenly...
There was a flash of white light and two glowing rings passed around him. His black super suit was replaced with a white and red t-shirt and jeans. His feet landed heavily on the floor and he could feel again, feel the way a living person was meant to. He was also hit with the heavy weight of exhaustion. it was a level of weariness that he had never felt before, not even returning from the dead carried quite this level of tiredness. Superman didn’t like the feeling.
“Right,” Danny said anxiously. “So, this is my human form. I’m what’s known as a halfa. I’m half ghost, half human and there only three of my kind in existence right now.”
Superman stood up strait. “you’re alive?”
Danny was rubbing the back of his neck and refusing to meet his eyes. “Yeah, I mean technically. I’m sorta like Schrodinger's cat, I’m both alive and dead at the same time. We don’t really get the science behind it, but I mean magic and aliens are real and we know of several after lives so it’s whatever, I guess.”
Superman simply stared at his look-a-like. He could feel his heartbeat in his chest now. He could gravity bearing down on him and a desperate kinda hunger that hadn’t been satisfied by the portions he’d eaten as a ghost.
Superman stared at his hand. It was young but it was calloused and scared. Minute burns shined on fingers and his nails were dirty and bitten away. It was a human hand. In his chest he could feel the remains of the icy numbness but right now he was human.
Phantom was human.
“How old are you?” he asked quietly. A vague feeling of horror was coming up over him like a wave.
Danny laughed nervously. “Um, I’m sixteen, now? I've done a little time travel so my exact age is a little less precise. But I've been dead for about two years.”
He said it so matter-of-factly. He was a child, an actual child.
And somehow he had died and taken on the responsibility of being a hero.
“How?” is what he asked.
Phantom bit his lip and looked very uncomfortable. “It’s not really something I talk about. I mean you’re actually the first person I've properly told my secret to. everyone else usually figures it out on their own or they catch me when I have no choice but to change. The actual story is kind of embarrassing.”
Curiosity burned within him but Clark nodded. “Take your time, son.”
“It’s so weird seeing me act like you,” Danny commented distractedly. ”Like you make it looked like I actually know what I’m doing. You need to stop that. You can’t do that at school or people will notice.”
“School?” Superman gasped. The child was attending school on top of hero work!? Clark hadn’t started proper heroics until after he graduated. What was this boy thinking. He could get... he could get killed.
“Yeah, that’s one of the reasons I’m telling you. I’m sorry to ask this but I can’t afford anymore absences, so I kinda need you to go to school for me tomorrow. I would obviously do it myself but-” Phantom gestured to his body. “I promise I’ll make it worth your while and I know we don’t have a lot of time for a crash course in Danny, but don’t worry, you won’t be alone. My friends and my sisters will help cover for you.”
“What about your parents?” Superman couldn’t help but wonder.
Phantom winced. “Um... they don’t know about this. They can’t know. They’re ghost hunters and for all their best intentions they tend make situations more dangerous rather than safer. And I also sorta have someone blackmailing me to keep it a secret from them but that’s a whole different level of complicated and it’s not something you’ll have to worry about.”
Superman could only gape at the child. “What happened to you?” the sense of horror had solidly taken its grip of him. Blackmail? Ghost hunting parents? Who was protecting him?
Phantom laughed nervously. “I just stepped into a portal to another dimension and activated it while inside, nothing too strange.” He said it like it was a joke, but it was obviously not a joke. The look of panic in Danny's eyes and his desire to flee was obvious.
Superman took a long breath and tried to regain his footing. “Phantom,” he said as gently and as kindly as possible. He though of his father and his endless patience when it came to Clark and his power issues. He could offer that to Danny. He had to. “Son, I really need you to tell me everything. If I’m going to help you properly, I need the truth. I won’t judge you. I won’t hold anything you tell me against you. I just need to know the truth.”
Phantom relaxed minutely. “You sound like my sister.”
“I’m sure she’s a lovely young woman.”
“Right. Yeah. Okay.” Phantom said. “Okay, I’ll tell you.”
And he did.
Later that night, Clark Kent's head was still ringing with the young boys tale. He’d always respected Phantom. They shared similar philosophies and ethics. Phantom was a hero through and through. But to find out the man behind the strength and determination was a child in over his head, was disturbing.
He knew Phantom was more than capable of taking care of himself and looking after the people in his protection. But to hear the story, to know that it wasn’t a thirty year ghost fulfilling an obsession but a sixteen year old child actively choosing to put himself in danger, to know that at any moment Phantom could die completely, it shed the hero in a new light.
It also filled him with an irrational sense of guilt. He knew there was nothing he could have done to change phantoms situation. He had no way of knowing or stopping Danny's accident. But still his stomach twisted because he was helpless with this. He couldn’t very well demand Phantom stop his hero work, he did too much good and he didn’t seem nearly as disturbed by his circumstance as Superman felt.
Perhaps, he was reading too much into things. Phantom has always been a good kid after all and good things come to good people. That’s just karma.
Clark set his jaw in determination. He’ll be one of those good things, he decided. He’ll make things easier for Danny. Just you wait!
