the most repeated metaphor for israel's exile in the nevi'im (prophets) in the tanakh is that of an adulterous woman punished by her husband. basic logic: g-d promised us in exodus that we would live well in the land of israel and be protected by It (g-d), but we were not. our enemies said this showed g-d the god of israel was unable to protect us, but we could not abide this, and counter-claimed that g-d was punishing us for our unfaithfulness and that It had sent the nations to destroy us, and It had the power reestablish us when we had repented. the adultery metaphor is obviously tuned to the psychology of its times and audience, but more foundational and less criticized is the assumption g-d can make such promises, that it's preferable that It determines the actions of third parties in the world, that if It can't, It's worse than worthless, a used tissue, because the only people here who should have free will and the power to exercise it are the jews and g-d.

this question continued through the repeated exiles and genocides of the jews in the next 2,500+ years, but began to become increasingly complicated and ambivalent over time, including with the interpretation in kabbalah that g-d was shattered and exiled alongside us.

look closer.

much post-holocaust theology rests on the existential question of g-d's impotence, for the hebrew bible does not present evidence that g-d is omnipotent.(1)(2)

so look closer at this metaphor, back in its times. play with reversing it:

g-d is not your husband (patriarchal definition) but g-d is also not your spouse, husband, or wife (modern egalitarian definition). g-d is your wife (patriarchal definition).

g-d cannot take you in or cast you out g-d cannot save or feed or clothe you g-d cannot give you land or defend you in battle g-d cannot divorce you even though It/She/They rages It will in Its besotted-mortified-crazed grief and abjection after you are unfaithful.

perhaps g-d can make your life hell from jealous sabotage g-d can drive you mad with lust and longing for It's beauty, as you have done to It. g-d can make your people survive forever through being the catalyst for all your children(writings/cultural handing-down/mitochondria). g-d can commit adultery against you and betray you. but if you die by your enemy's hand, g-d has permission to die in your house, for you will need it and It no longer.

(and many jews think this option is the worst one tho lmao.

let me rewrite some of the prophets:

thoughts on this reversal as something that Reveals -- for the audience i'm writing to it's one that shocks the connotations to something more viscerally s 0 meth1ng/relatable (the way the og was supposed to be for its audience), but more importantly, i'm trying to come up with something more infinitely chewable as a negotiation of fault and interiority-vs-effects, instead of terminating.

but also while my point in rewriting these is about the non-existence of omnipotence, non-existence of omniscience is probably more interesting. because it....reveals.....i guess a parallel to the way ppl talk about Widely Despised Female CharactersTM (both in madonna and whore perfect idealized and evil all-blameful interpretations). as simultaneously incoherently both culpable and agencyless, both agenda-driven and lacking in interiority, threefold responsible: evil for creating the evil of the world, and evil for trying to fix or destroy that evil when she regrets(17) that world, and timelessly still-blamed as evil when she regrets destroying it and admits that she doesn't have the capacity to fix it but promises to never destroy it again(18). (the souring when its clear she's not secretly timelessly omnisciently correct for allowing this evil).

all this entity's choices and preferences are made into a morally-charged one that is a referendum on the moral valence and bestows moral judgment to anyone or anything she likes/doesn’t like or does/doesn’t do. and also those interior feelings, if shown, are open to making her limitlessly blamed for the spurned person’s resulting action. or mysteriously impersonally Morally Right (after those preferences, like liking meat more than grain, are forcibly interpreted as being solely a moral pronouncement that invites and justifies limitless violence and blame)(19). both timelessly nonlinearly unchangingly culpable at each point in a linear sequence of events regardless of what order one shuffles it in, and incapable of having curiosity or ignorances or confusions that make up linear accumulations of knowledge or opinions or back-and-forths that change her mind over time, or that are incomplete without the preexisting elements of the narrative or which have to take place in the context of a dynamic dialogue/tug of war to make sense.

so i think in a similar way to that, but in a way that doesn't...pattern-match....without the pronounflip/husband-wife adultery and shaming flip......people will not think of the full picture of what else entails if one accepts a premise......no allowing for g-d being dumb or irrational or impulsive, or ignorant at earlier periods of time of what consequences will occur later. no allowing It to have the capacity to change Its mind, and therefore no allowing It to make it up to us once the error in thinking or acting has been understood and regretted. no dynamic interiority allowed in It being capricious and poorly-moral or passion-ruled or not having considered what is evil or what isn't, or what is a big deal to humans and what isn't, not omniscient enough to already know this prior to the chance to learn it by observing humans. no considering such a being to be acquiring contradictory ideas over time and It trying to figure out which one should rule in any given moment, struggling with warring impulses and giving into one at one time and another at another time, being stubborn bc It is a person with ideas that contradict too, reaching out in a curiosity or a confusion, putting on an act to try to court and impress and arouse desire in It's mate Israel. eg, people ignoring the implication that a specific method (flood, languages) implies either a limited ability or a specific desire or a specific curiosity, or both (18) (why multiple languages specifically??? why not something way less surmountable if insurmountability was desired? or if timeless omnipotence was available??).

let alone, in some cases the idea of g-d simply being helpless, overcome, raped and despoiled, not omnipotent enough to achieve -- even if It does know what It wishes It could do -- a method that would fix things, stop things.

but apparently a fearsome but vulnerable and morally-heterogenous and linearly evolving/accumulating/learning god with enough raw bursting power do act immorally sometimes, but without omnipotence, is unpalatable. so……idk, the time-collapse of god treatments that mirrors that of misogyny that mirrors that of antisemitism -- no matter what you do or don't, or can or can't, or know or don't know, or think or can't think, it's your fault -- haunts to an un-unseeable extent.

this is all torah/tanakh and jewish thought specific(20), but the bigger issue for me that i have a hard time unseeing after seeing it was like….the classic conception of omnipotence and omniscience is a thought-termination (either as timeless will-always-have-been-morally-right termination, or as infinitely-blamable, uniquely worthy of punishment, betraying anthy-style scapegoat termination, which are just two different sides of the coin).

there is no cognitively nondissonant way to say 'if g-d exists, i am deciding It is shaped in such a way so as to be to blame for everything/should Be Killed/is actively working against our Liberation/must be a concept that is inherently keeping life from snapping back into a happy and suffering-free equilibrium', because if you (like me) are open to the idea of g-d being nonexistent, there is only One excuse for not also being open to the idea of g-d being a non-omnipotent, non-omniscient, dynamic, learning, growing entity, a person who is then subject to whatever limitations a person would have, and also is an-other person whose inner heart, like any other person's you cannot narrow down to the dichotomy of either being the guy you made up in your head, or a deliberate traitor to that guy. It's the same excuse for why a person or group such as the Jews are The Enemy Of All Humanity Who Must Be Killed Or At Least Blamed: laying down one's own interiority as a sentient being, to invent a person who exists to be limitlessly blameable in situations where no one else would be. if you (like me) don't completely believe g-d exists, i suppose we can't hurt It, but i know what it sounds like and who it impacts. i am much more stung about g-d lying to us -- by claiming we could only be destroyed by Them/our own transgressions. ie., lying by claiming other groups of humans totally didn't have the power to exile and genocide us irrespective of our own behavior -- than by the crime of 'not being omnipotent.' lol. but ofc even this too assumes They did actually lie to us at all, and that a more fitting interpretation of the text (let alone reality) isn't just a folie a deux of wishful thinking on one or both of our parts in this lovers affair.(21)

POWER ENCOUNTERS

John 14:18,20 - "I will not leave you alone; I will come back to you. When that day comes, you will know that I am in my Father, and that you are in me, just as I am in you."

When we talk about power encounters as a means of reaching people with God's love, many different ideas may run through our heads. Most people don't see themselves as being equipped to have power encounters and may leave this to the more highly gifted. There are, however, several ways that most any spirit-filled Christian can engage in a positive power encounter:

THE POWER OF PRESENCE

Power encounters occur when Jesus' followers disciple new believers into their Christ identity, their right standing with God, and walking in the Spirit. This shows them how to host God’s presence in their every day lives.

In 1 John 1:5, John writes that the message he heard from Jesus and now declares is, "God is Light." Light speaks of the power, truth, and life of God's nature. In John 8:12, Jesus states that He is the Light of the world, and the verse finishes by saying that when we follow Him, we will become the light as well. God's presence in us is like a light that shines and distinguishes us from those who do not have this light. We are told to "live as children of light"

(Ephesians 5:8). The greater the light and presence of God we release, the more the darkness will be overcome around us through changing the way people think about God and their calling in Christ.

We find that when we intentionally allow the presence of the Holy Spirit to be released through us to touch others, people are drawn and they experience a hunger to know more about Jesus.

THE POWER OF JESUS' NAME

Most Christians are familiar with the fact that Jesus delegated His authority to us and gave us the power of His name. Take note in the following verses to the things that we have been given power to do in the name of Jesus: Matthew 10:7-8, Mark 16:17-18, Luke 9:1-2, and John 14:11-13.

Simply utilizing our God-given dominion and authority can dispel darkness and bring the Kingdom of God to earth.

THE POWER OF LOVE

The Bible makes it clear that our enemies are in the spiritual realm and are not the people we are trying to reach -- Ephesians 6:12 - "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

When we take God's light into spiritually dark places, it is best that we don't pray against the people trapped in darkness, such as psychics. Instead, ask God to bless them and reveal His glory and light to each individual.

1 John 4:4 - "..because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world."

As we mature, we understand our Christ identity and the authority God has given us to do the greater works Jesus spoke about. which includes discipling others into their Christ identity, their right standing with God, and walking in the spirit.

So yesterday @pure-vanilla-lilies created a Light Cream and Royal Margarine's love child based off a joke a i made so know im going to take it seriously and my make my own au(?) version

I present to you, Royal Icing! (She clearly has her father's smile)

Full design (and fun facts):

She has her father's eyes and her mother's hair

Royal Margarine took custody of her for reasons too long for a bullet point list

He was honestly kind of a bad father at first and Buttercream is the main reason she is still alive

But he eventually gets pretty decent at it

She was a leash kid (mainly because she would often try to explore her without supervision and run into danger)

She doesn't know much about her mother but they do write to each other sometimes and Light Cream remembers every birthday

She has also recently found out about Clotted Cream and have been exchanging letters ever since

She hides a dagger in her left ankle for self defense purposes (it was a gift from Light Cream)

She is a socially anxious extrovert aka she doesn't talk to many people but she is extremely loud and expressive (like her father) when you get her to open up

Her love language is fighting/wrestling

She was 10-13 when the Legend of the Red Dragon events happened (oh yeah i forgot to mention she is like 15-17 so it has been a few years)

Hollyberry was the mom/aunt figure she desperatly needed in her life and she visits the Hollyberry kingdom as much as she can

Tarte Tatin is a terrible influence to her and taught Royal Icing how to shoot

Snapdragon and her are inseparable and they're favorite game is "who can piss off pitaya the most without getting burned"

12. Do you have a playlist for your current WIP(s)? Share it!

I do! I shared the current WIP here, but since you asked, here's also my Kenta playlist that helped me write my Takeover fic!

13. How much planning do you do before writing?

Lots and lots and lots and lots! Without getting into that too much, I've been thinking a lot lately about why I like to do research for wrestling fic as much as I do (especially given how low-research I used to be for fic, I was very pro "run with vibes who gives a shit" when I started writing). Part of it is just having spent enough time in fandom I've already done the "put your OTP in [canned fic scenario/coffee shop AU/porno situation]" fics, so they're less interesting for me to write now. The other part of it is that pro wrestling stories can be so BIG in scope (multiple guys entire YEARS of career) that chipping away at highlights of someone's back catalogue for a fic can feel like a more manageable way of engaging with what came before.

It does run me into some funny "writing" sessions though, like yesterday where I spent the better part of half an hour poring over Eddie Kingston and Jay White's cagematch entries to determine who was where when and how they might have plausibly interacted before the moment I'm writing. me @ me like bestie, girliepop, just make shit up <3

19. Give us a small teaser from one of your WIPs.

:) this is from the opening chapter of the as-yet untitled Jaykada fic. It picks up right after pliant as gold (which is no apology), which is to say, Jay is having a normal one in okada's hotel room shower.

I straighten. “Phantasmo?” – is it? The nightmare must really be over then. Really. I laugh to myself, breathless, a little hard to control. Alright. Alright. “Good to see you man. I’ll be right out.”

“Yeah, uh, come on out.”

I stumble out of the shower, looking around for a towel. Scrubbing off my exhausted muscles, just another match, right? Whichever big match. They’re all the same, after Madison Square Garden, another G1, another Wrestle Kingdom with Gedo and the boys – they’re all waiting for me, waiting for me to walk them into the gold of my era.

I wrap the towel around my waist, surveying the room. Empty soda water bottles. Not my toothbrush. My skin starts to crawl.

When I crack open the door, Phantasmo has a pained smile pasted on his face.

He shoves something into my hands. “Hey buddy. Some clothes, okay?

I shut the door. My stomach churns. These aren’t – they’re not my clothes. Far too long in the legs, the t-shirt just a little bit too baggy. Oh god. Okay.

This really – happened. Fuck. I’m going to kill Hikuleo.

AEW Revolution 2024

Sunday 3rd March 2024, it's AEW, it's Sting’s final match, this is AEW Revolution 2024! This show was built very well, and absolutely loaded up as a card without breaching Too Many Matches territory. Needless to say I’ve been hyped to watch this one! Sadly, I had a university class test worth 25% of a module on Monday, and I was woefully underprepared, so I couldn't justify staying up until 5am! I was able to catch the first hour before bed, plus the pre-show though! So without further ado, let's get into that pre-show!

Bang Bang Scissor Gang (Anthony Bowens, Max Caster, Billy Gunn, Jay White, Austin Gunn, & Colten Gunn def. Total Nonstop Arseholes (Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal, & Satnam Singh w/ Karen Jarrett & Sonjay Dutt), Private Party (Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen), & Willie Mack in 12:25

The signature Big Multi-Man Tag to Keep a Low Stakes Storyline Bubbling and Get Them on the Card match is on the pre-show on this night! Man, these TV Trope names are getting long… The Bang Bang Scissor Gang are the main focus here, the supergroup of The Acclaimed and Bullet Club Gold. This act is extremely frustrating for me, because their styles are just not blending, they have both been going nowhere, and most importantly: this group formed to take out the Undisputed Kingdom, which it has taken no steps to do! Why?! Anyways, Max Caster is at this point definitely doing a rap-failing gimmick, as he flubs his rap for the third time. I can’t say that's entralling but anyway. Let’s just focus on the match.

This was a fun mess of a match. It's your average big tag match, with a great moment as everyone in Team Jarrett does a Fargo Strut in unison. Love that. Why is Willie Mack on his team though? He’s a lovable guy! Billy Gunn gets a massive pop for his hot tag, and Jay White doesn't get a half bad one too. Our finish comes when there's all sorts of chaos, and out of it White is able to hit the Blade Runner on Willie Mack.

Post-match, White then cuts a promo hyping up the show and suggests he’ll appear at Dynamite: Big Business to get himself back on track. This will go on to be confirmed as Darby Allin vs Jay White, which Darby will hilariously struggle to find about at the post-show presser. Should be good!

We have a couple segments here, first with Orange Cassidy! OC is having to tape his ribs at Doc Samson’s request, and the champ tells the Best Friends to stay in the back, because he’s sick of his friends getting hurt. They oblige, and we have the all-for-one hands in, including Lexy and Samson.

In our other segment: PAC is back! The Bastard cuts a great promo in one of his awesome stylised packages, promising he’s back soon. He even says he nearly “popped his clogs”, i.e DIED. I don't know what's gone on but all the best to Pac following that, and excited to see him

back!

Willow Nightingale & Kris Statlander w/ Stokely Hathaway def. Julia Hart & Skye Blue in 13:30

Time for these teams to finally put their feud to bed, as Willow & Stat take on Julia Hart and her cronie Skye Blue. I love both Willow and Stat, so I’m ready for this one!

This is decent, and it's really great how julia looks so at home now. Her improvement has been something else! There’s some small awkwardness in this one but also fun stuff from great wrestlers. We also have Stokely on commentary, which is a plus for just about anything. This one comes to an end when Williw reverses a Code Blue into a pounce and then hits the Babe With The Powerbomb for the win.

In between all these segments, I have to say I love RJ City and Renee Paquette, they're so fun. RJ keeps referencing eggs when talking about the scramble match, and Renee accidentally calls Danielson “Daniel Bryan” at one point. Haha, that was his name in the other place! What a goof! I make truly transcendent commentary on these shows. Let's just get to the main show.

Christian Cage (c) w/ Killswitch, Nick Wayne, & Mother Wayne def. Daniel Garcia for the TNT Championship in 16:52

Opening the show is our TNT Title match! Christian Cage has been killing it as the despicable Father Figure of AEW, whilst Garcia has been finally getting the sort of push he deserves, earning this shot after his great run in the Continental Classic. Cage has taken potshots at Garcia’s family, but Danny G has been unflappable in the face of it. I’m hyped for him and I hoped this would be his night! Let's see…

Garcia makes absolutely everything he does look so so so good, from his sells to his strikes to his slams. I am so invested in him right now. He targets the leg very well here, even though Christian gets some damage done. Danny brought the fight to Cage, and Killswitch interference is neutralised by “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard, Garcia’s mentor and friend who The Patriarchy took out. We had annearfall off a piledriver that I thought was it. However, a Nick Wayne stunner while the referee is distracted allows for a Killswitch from Cage and the win. A bit of a weak finish to be honest, but a good match! I honestly expected to see Adam Copeland getting involved to help Daniel

Garcia, potentially for the win which I hoped for. Oh well, great showing for Danny and I can't be unhappy that Christian’s great reign is carrying on!

Eddie Kingston (c) def. Bryan Danielson for the AEW Continental Championship, ROH World Championship, & NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion in 19:45

Next is the big Continental Crown match! Eddie Kingston wants Danielson to finally respect him, and if Eddie wins, Bryan has to shake his hand. Danielson wants that title though, and he wants to prove Eddie isn't good enough. C’mon Eddie!

God, Eddie is so over. The atmosphere is amazing. This match would be awesome to see live. This was a great match that you’d expect from these two. I was getting ready for bed at the time that I first saw this, so maybe not at my most attentive. Hence, I gave it a rewatch and it did not disappoint. Great match. A strike exchange unwisely instigated by Danielson gives way to two powerbomb attempts from Eddie, and he finally lands it after countering a Busaiku Knee with a lariat, stacking the American Dragon for the win!

Post-match, Dragon has to shake the hand of Eddie, but doesn't seem like he will, causing Eddie to back off. Bryan calls him back though, but then snubs him. He was only joking though, and calls Eddie back to shake his hand! He even raises his hand, having to switch to the uninjured left though! Great stuff!

Wardlow (w/ Matt Taven & Mike Bennett) def. Brian Cage (w/ Prince Nana), Lance Archer (w/ Jake Roberts), Powerhouse Hobbs, Chris Jericho, Dante Martin, Hook, & Magnus in an All-Star Scramble for the No. 1 Contendership for the AEW World Championship in 16:22

We have the remnants of Meat Madness, the All-Star Scramble! Wardlow is on the war path, Archer & Hobbs are bringing some meat, as is Cage! Hook wants that rematch with Samoa Joe, Magnus & Dante Martin won qualifiers earlier in the week, and Jericho is here too.

This one was a bit awkward in places but it had those “meat” chants, which I love, and some fun spots! I saw someone saying the “meat” chant is preventing unironic love of big men clashes, and I couldn't disagree more! I love the “meat” chant and what it signifies completely unironically. Don't get me wrong, I fully see how this is a chant that might get out of control, I fear the meat, but as of right now I love it. It's just an extra wrinkle of fun to help big up those giant clashes. Maybe that's just me though. In the end, a big powerbomb from Wardlow to Dante wins it for the Undisputed Kingdom man.

Roderick Strong (w/ Matt Taven & Mike Bennett) def. Orange Cassidy (c) for the AEW International Championship in 12:43

International Title on the line here, as the Undisputed Kingdom’s Roderick Strong takes on Orange Cassidy! Roddy has been on a mission to claim this title since the group’s inception, but he faces a challenge in the workhorse champion Orange Cassidy. Cassidy’s second reign has definitely been underwhelming though, as that first reign was so brilliant and his loss was such a great story. Him winning it back obviously came from somewhat of a comedy of injuries, but he really should have moved on. Him beating Moxley was great though. I just would have put the belt on an underutilised great to raise their stock. I don't know. OC is battered though, especially that back! Match time!

I wanna start by stating that the Messiah of the Backbreaker ring style is so so so good. Everything is setting up so nicely, he hits so many great backbreakers, and I always forget how good he is before seeing a big match of his! Just so many cool uses of Strong’s offence, that End of Heartache countered into a Stundog Millionaire was awesome! Really fun match here, with an End of Heartache getting the win for Strong! New champion!

Then post match, coming up from behind, IT’S KYLE O’REILLY! The Violent Artist has been out for nearly two years but he’s back! He looks absolutely crazed behind Strong, but he takes him in for a hug. Strong invites him to the Undisputed Kingdom, but he rejects an invite, placing the t-shirt back on Roddy’s shoulder, before heading back up the ramp. Bit awkward but I think we’re all too happy to see Kyle! He’s welling up and saying thank you to the crowd, and it's all very nice.

Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli) def. FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) in 21:47

This one oughta be good! FTR and the BCC have been tussling recently after Moxley and Castagnoli staked their claim as a top tag tema in AEW. They fought on Dynamite, but that ended in a time limit draw just as FTR had them beat. Now it’s time we get a final winner.

Coming to the ring, BCC have LOD-style shoulder pads! That’s awesome! This one was an awesome fight. Nice striking, cool tag action, and it gets so so good as it goes on! Claudio's mid-Doomsday Device counter, Dax’s battle scars, the uppercut Doomsday Device, the uppercut from Cash’s dive, Claudio's frantic sleeper to ensure Mox got the win: so many amazing moments and this one was absolutely great stuff!

Post-match, there's clear respect but no shaking of hands. They don't need it, they did it in the ring.

Toni Storm (c) (w/ Mariah May & Luther) def. Deonna Purrazzo for the AEW Women's World Championship in 12:17

Old friends clash as Toni Storm must defend against Deonna Purrazzo, who isn't a fan of the new delusional persona of the Timeless One. It seems Toni Storm is reverting to her classic look though, but after a good few takes, everybody realises it’s really Mariah May! Genuinely uncanny, I really thought it was for her for a minute.

This match was decent enough, I wish it had a little bit more to it though. There was some nice technical work from Deonna, which I’m a big fan of, but I feel like this one just needed some extra meat on the bones. Our finish comes when Toni is tapping to the Venus de Milo but Toni’s beloved butler Luther. distracts the ref, allowing for Mariah to provide a distraction. Henceforth, Toni hits Storm Zero and wins! Smashing! Thinking back though, did she actually even attempt the Break a Leg which I assumed was introduced for this clash? Not sure, maybe worth a rewatch.

Will Ospreay def. Konosuke Takeshita in 21:57

The Don Callis Family implodes!... but in a friendly way. Ospreay is debuting, Takeshita gets a big PPV match, yippee!

This was a clash definitely reminiscent of Ospreay’s back catalog of indie main events. Both he and Takeshita bring plenty of extra style from both men’s time in Japan too though. But it was definitely more about awesome moves and counters than story and selling in places. It was pretty awesome though! Takeshita is simply amazing in my opinion. Everything he does has such an impact. He did so well, and is offence is so great: the Takeshita Line, the big knee, the sheer brainbuster, it's all so good. The Oscutter counter with the Blue Thunder Bomb was simply amazing too! As was the counter into the Package Tombstone/German combo! I do wish that one in particular wasn't the spot where Ospreay did a fighting spirit Hidden Blade, and I especially wish he didn't immediately have the strength to cover, but Takeshita got to kick out at one so I’m mostly appeased there. Ospreay is obviously getting a lot of plaudits for this one, not undeservedly, but I just think that Takeshita deserves so much more. He’s maybe my favourite in-ring wrestler right now. His style, personality, and skill are just perfect for me. I want this faction to stop being about Don and start being about Takeshita. He’s incredible. Anyway, back to the match. It was definitely great, I think! I do wish Ospreay sold everything as he went a bit more though. Definitely moved a tad fast for my taste, I wish he had just given everything a smidge more breathing room. I know it was the type of match where it's all action, and I loved it for that, but I feel like you can do the same match in the same style just truly ticking over into an all-timer with a little bit more of it, as well as a proper story. There’s a story to the match forming, but it's definitely sparser than expected. This was pretty awesome though. Ospreay is able to hit the hidden blade for the win. I do wish Takeshita got put away with something more but I’m just a big Takeshita fan, and this is just match one for Ospreay in AEW.

Kyle Fletcher vs Will Ospreay is announced for Wednesday Night Dynamite, which will go on to main event the show!

Samoa Joe def. "Hangman" Adam Page & Swerve Strickland (w/ Prince Nana) in a triple threat for the AEW World Championship in 19:41

This is one of my favourite AEW builds in a while! Slightly odd injury angle for Page aside, it's been cool. The hottest feud of 2023 is heading into the AEW World Championship scene! Hangman Adam Page is rightly mad after everything Swerve put him through, and is determined to stop him winning the title. Swerve Strickland is extremely popular despite his unhinged tendencies, and is determined to become champion. Samoa Joe is a big nasty champion and he does not care for their squabbling. When Page doesn't seek to find a winner when they draw in a Number One Contendership match, thinking Swerve will now lose his championship shot, but instead they're both getting one! How does this one play out?

There’s so much story here in an awesome triple threat. Hangman absolutely loses it here, and it’s brilliantly done. Seeing his treatment of the referees and more really cemented this unraveled character. I see a lot of people saying this is a heel turn for Page, and I do agree, but I really hope it remains consistent and he is only a heel because of Swerve. If I see him being a heel without it being because he is obsessed with stopping Swerve, or because he’s losing his mind about Swerve, or he thinks someone is a fan of Swerve, I will be unhappy. Please. I think the whole character remains much more interesting that way, and true to his character and the type of arcs he serves best, y’know? Swerve should be a tweener I think, because the crowd reaction is ramping up, but he will lose so much of his charm if he doesn't remain a cocky, cold worldbeater. I want him feuding with faces once he wins the belt. I want him to remain the Swerve we love, and maybe build to Page finally getting that singles win over Swerve.

Anyway, back to the match. Swerve looked so awesome and did everything so well here, he’s on the top of his game. Joe, as always, is a beast. The Swerve Buckshot Lariat from the corner was an electric moment, super cool and a great story detail. Hangman was also awesome, as per. Swerve is on top, looks to be putting Hangman away, but Joe comes in with the Coquina Clutch on Hangman! It’s not on for too long when Page taps, with Swerve’s dreams crushed. He definitely did this to deny Swerve, which they speculate about on commentary. I would have loved it if they were facing each other for that moment and we saw Hangman choose to do it, but it seems they want some ambiguity.

Swerve looks so heartbroken post-match, as if he knows this man should have more after everything they’ve been through. I would honestly love if this develops into a story about Swerve fighting Hangman into refinding his way, perhaps with a title change or two! It looks like we’re getting Swerve vs. Joe at Dynasty, the new PPV announced on this night, and I do hope this is where Swerve wins the big one. I did kind of want a title change here, but Joe has been so awesome I’m totally happy he gets a longer reign. I was not convinced at first but he's been a great champion and has definitely shown in the last year or so that he can still go at a high level, which I think some of us might have questioned. Great match though!

Sting & Darby Allin (w/ Steven Borden Jr. & Garrett Borden) def. The Young Bucks (Matthew & Nicholas Jackson)

In 1985, the man called Sting wrestler his first match, and in 2024, aged 64, he wrestled his last. Sting and his biggest ally in recent years, Darby Allin, became the Tag Team Champions in the build to this one, making this final match a title match against The Young Bucks. The Bucks are now touting their EVP positions, playing corporate nightmares who took issue with Sting, leading to a brutal beatdown. They want to retire Sting here with a blemish on his perfect record.

This is an awesome hardcore spotfest with real heart given the occasion. Sting’s sons get involved early on after an emotionally charged promo video, and an emotionally charged entrance to Seek and Destroy with the Borden Boys dressed as the surfer and Wolfpac variants of Sting. Them hitting Stinger Splashes was a great moment. Glass is also brought in early on! Go cry me a river! It’s set up very nicely for Darby to do the scariest dumbest spot ever! I loved it! He flips off a ladder in the ring, through this glass pane set up on chairs on the outside, after one of the EVPs moves. The look of his back is something else. Shortly after, Sting goes through a pane of glass! He is 64! Darby is a terrible influence on him! This was also awesome though. Another fun spot is when duel superkicks are preceded by an emotional sentiment of “we’re not sorry, we hate you” from the EVPs. Sting doesn't take that though, even if he is two-on-one. This was just a great time from start to finish! Sting and Darby retain when they dump Nicholas through a table, Scorpion Death Drop on Matthew, kick out, but a Coffin Drop into a Scorpion Deathlock combo wins it! Fuck you, this was the right decision. It was much more fun to just have him win and silence the heels, just like he always has. A Tag Team Title tournament could really help refresh that division too!

Sting thanks the fans, and Darby, and it's all very emotional on the mic post-show. He's getting “you still got it” chants and Darby is whispering time cues. Sting says “Hold on, I’m getting cues” and the ppv ends… uhhhh

Sting goes on to say his goodbyes to the live crowd, as Darby takes his leave to go to the hospital. There’s people crying in the audience, but Sting is keeping it pretty jovial. Tony Khan says a few words and the roster gathers at the top of the ramp to see off The Icon. Dax Harwood appears to be bawling his eyes out. Sting heads up the ramp and thus ends a legendary career.

I have no idea how to rate this one to be honest. It's a very subjective match to be honest, at least for how brilliant it is for you. I don't think you can deny it was a touching send-off for Sting, it was a good time. Some say it's instantly five stars, and I could definitely see it. Sting was always someone I never really grew up with: WCW ended before I was born, he was an elder statesman of TNA when I got into that, and I wasn't watching WWE very faithfully when he had his short run. For this reason, maybe this match doesn't hit me perfectly like it does everyone well but I can't help but love it for everything it was. My favourite Sting may be Joker Sting, but I appreciate the brilliance of The Stinger.

Final Thoughts

Overall, this was an awesome show. Not a bad match on it for my money, and up and down the card it was different but brilliant matches. AEW are known for great PPVs, but this is definitely one of their best in recent memory! I think summing all up, this one has to be 4.5 stars out of 5.

In the large meeting room the man shrouded in darkness was almost invisible. With his job It would concerning if everyone could see him. The woman sat Infront of him. Her eyes dark and calculating. She wore a black saree and sat with the confidence of a Queen. “So? Devaratha Raaisar huh? Thought you were dead” She commented. It was her father afterall who ordered the entire Royal family of Khansaar dead.

The assassin flinched minutely, he assumed this to be like every other job but she knew his name. “what are your skills?” she asked as if she hadn’t almost sent him into a panic attack. "Expert at combat with melee, hand thrown weapons and archery. Expert at unarmed combat and wrestling. Expert at hunting and foraging. Expert at tracking. Expert at camouflage.” He responded saving his question for later. “How much do you expect me to pay?” she asked, her shapely eyebrow raised. “That depends on the Job ma’am. He responded his heart still beating fast about this woman knowing his Identity. He planned quick, he had a knife hidden on him, there was a glass vase and a glass chandelier- potential weapons. “you are to assassinate the King of Celitia” She said and those words froze his heart.

There was fire everywhere, screams of people rang through his ears as he prayed for amma and appa to be alive. He was grabbed and knew no more. Later he woke up in middle of a jungle with around 800 citizens alive. His amma and appa fortunately escaping. His anna Bhaarva gravely injured but alive. His father said It wasKarna, King of Celitia That caused such devastation. That day 15 years ago he swore to kill every last one of his line.

His mind soared at the realization that his life goal has been presented to him in a silver platter and that he will be paid for it. His clan needs every last bit of gold, everyone doing odd jobs, except Bhaarva who was being groomed to be king and his father whose health was worsening. “How much will I be paid?” he asks after getting his voice back. “Name a price sweetheart” She said. He ignored the nickname and thought about it. “How about 10000 gold?” he asked worried that would be too much.

The most he had been paid was 500 Gold for killing the king of a small kingdom. The people who asked for such jobs to be done were usually impersonal to the target and weren’t open to spending much. “That is…” She begin with an odd tone. “Too much?” He usually started with big amounts. “Not at all darling, that is too less. You are going to kill Aryan The King Of Celitia.” She said. “I was thinking 15 million, as an advance ofcourse.” She said. Deva would sit at her foot and worship her after the Job if she paid That much. And it seems he missed the Coronation of the Prince, just as foul as his father he heard. “F-fifteen million?” he stuttered. He was intimidated by the price, who pays 15 million to kill a king. That amount of money could have helped old Khansaar run for 5 years.

“10 million, yes. You are the 14th assassin I have paid for this, the previous 13 failed. Failed as in died. That’s why advance for you and your clan.” She drawled, her silver jhumka sparkling in the sunlight that peeked through the curtains. She was gorgeous he noticed ‘Not now Deva’ he scolded himself. “You have something personal against him” He blurted out and immidietely regretted. More questions usually made clients pay less. “Personal indeed” she responded.

“That kingdom he is ruling, mine. That Throne, mine. The bloody crown, mine. That is my birthright he is living. Not only that he dares to make My people suffer.” She huffed. He could see her tremble with anger, Her toned muscles tensing ‘She would look good underneath- NOT NOW BRAIN!’ he shook his head and concentrated on what she said. By her word it would mean she was the eldest Princess who ‘died’ during a the Celitia-elven War. Atleast it answered how she knew his name, the princess was known to have a way of finding out any information. ‘Do I have to kill her? I am sure amma wouldn’t mind such a daughter in law’ he thought.

“As you wish Ma’am.” He responded. “wait, take these” she handed him yellowed paper. He opened them and realized it was a map. “Underground tunnels for illegal work. My brother is rather stupid you see.” She sounded tired. “Illegal work?” he questioned, footsteps someone was coming he realized. “yes Illegal selling of recovery stones, greedy son of a bastard” she said the second part of the sentence like he wasn’t meant to hear it. “Alright then. I shall report every day.” He settled on saying. She nodded dismissing him. He moved to the windows intending to get out the same way she asked him to get in. “wait!” she called out. He turned and saw her smile slightly “Good luck” He just nodded speechless and left.

DAY 1

/I infiltrated the city through the sewers, and from there entered the underground dungeons which I utilized to undermine the city's defenses. Today I mostly spent my time exploring and familiarizing myself with the layout of the dungeons and gathering information on the guards and any secret passageways it might have. I also found a few artifacts, which I think could prove useful to my tribe, so I am taking them with me./

/Today I used a secret passageway to reach the dungeons that lie underneath the King's private chambers, and I also managed to unlock the doors to the dungeon that led into the King's private study, thus allowing me to explore both areas more deeply and get a better idea of their layout. I also acquired a few interesting artifacts, which I believe will be beneficial to my tribe. Tomorrow I will try to find a way into the King's private chambers./

DAY 3

/Today I managed to reach the King's private chambers using the secret passageway I unlocked on Day 1. I also managed to get into the King's bedroom. I discovered there are many valuable artifacts, which I shall steal. However, there is someone guarding the King, a woman wearing a green pendant, I suspect it's a person trained by you, as she appears skilled with the sword and is extremely vigilant. I will take her down tomorrow./

DAY 4

/Today I managed to defeat Rama. She put up quite a fight, but I used my superior skill and training to defeat her. She is now dead and I have taken her gold and sword for myself. I will now attempt to break into the King's bedchamber./

/Today I managed to break into the King's bedroom and I found him and his family sleeping, I have managed to capture them all without any casualties, now I merely need to kill the king and his family to establish your reign. Are you ok with me taking out the whole family, or do you wish to keep one or two of them alive for political reasons?/

*Keep them alive for now and get them to the throne room at dawn tomorrow, we shall have a public execution for them. Them meaning Aryan and Karna. Kill Aryan’s wife she is sneaky.*

/Today I have gathered the King and his family in the throne room, as you instructed. They seem extremely nervous and terrified, but they are here.

Also, I managed to acquire a few interesting artifacts, which I intend to take back to my tribe to help secure its future.

The timing was perfect. She got down from the car looking at the palace she once called home. She looked at her assistant “Seetha, Make sure I don’t kill them early, yeah?” She said earning a giggle. Seetha grew up with her. She was the daughter of her childhood nanny. When she had almost died, Seetha was the one who saved her along with Ram her personal bodyguard. He father announced her death before they found her and had realized his malicious intent. Ever since That Day all she wanted was the Throne and both Seetha and Ram who were more like her siblings than Aryan to be happy.

They moved on to the throne room that had a balcony to address the citizens. She looked at Deva. When did she start thinking of him as Deva? Whatever, the more important thing was the two men that ruined her life kneeling in the balcony. All the citizens were cheering for the tyranny to end. She had worn a veil for a dramatic reveal. “Begin.” She said to Deva who was also wearing a mask to cover his identity. “Citizens Of Celitia, welcome to the execution of The Treasonous King and His Even More OF A Bastard Father.” She almost chuckled at the satisfaction in his tone. Afterall the only reason he seemed like he has never seen 10 million Gold was her father. Her father who ruined her life and gave her birthright to his bastard son.

“Any last words?” He asked her Brother. Deva’s eyes held a manic grin and had teared up. "Yes, I have some final words. I have ruled this city with love and care since the day I ascended the throne. I did not desire power for power's sake, but to provide the stability and security this city needed to thrive at a difficult time. I refuse to beg for mercy from you or anyone else. I ask the citizens to support my children in maintaining the peace and prosperity of this city." He said pretending to be the generous king That he was not. Rage overtook the rightful queen “Liar, You bloody bastard. How dare you pretend to have ruled rightfully when you both subjected the citizens to 15 years of tyranny. And I won’t even pretend not to know that from the moment you started ruling you have been illegally selling recovery stones.” She lunged only to be held back by Seetha and Ram. Recovery stones helped replenish a person’s magic. If consumed without any reason would immensely increase their magical potential. It was required for Death rituals were human sacrifices had to be made.

Her lunging also made her veil fall off and the citizens rejoiced at their princess who used Law as a superpower back when she was 16. It was after her supposed death that Karna’s rule become tyrannical. She saw her Father flinch and her brother fall backwards hitting his head against the wall. The princess at 31 looked just as beautiful and fierce as when she was 16. She had hardened with age, her previously soft feminine features gone and she looked almost androgynous. “Off with their head” She said to Deva in such a soft tone that her words sounded more like an endearment rather than a death sentence. It was swift and anti-climatic to the both of them. But the satisfaction burned so well in their hearts.

“Deva.” She called and motioned him to follow her. The citizens cheered louder welcoming Their Queen. The Queen sat on a unsteady wooden stool that remained among the rubble in the Throne room, Deva sat down on the floor. He admired Her ability to make a simple stool look like a gilded throne. “So, I have paid you the advance and now for the rest of the payment. You have two choices.” She said and he listened. “one, you can have 500 million Gold” She said and he knew it was probably what was taken from Khansaar 15 years ago, but the amount still struck his heart. “OR you can have the land that was taken, Khansaar I mean, But on the condition that YOU rule.” Deva didn’t even have to think. With the 15 that she had given as Advance was more than enough to bring old Khansaar. “Two, Option two.” He said with a swiftness that Almost made The Queen flinch. “Alright then.” She said and motioned Seetha to do something. Seetha gave him a bunch of papers. “paperwork, welcome to the life of responsible monarchs” She said with a grin.

Once he finished signing, She took the papers and handed him a Card, ‘invitation’ He realized. “I, The Queen to be of Celitia invite you to my coronation.” She said with a grin. “I hope we can be good allies.” He replied smiling genuinely for the first time since he became an Assassin.

The Coronation itself was beautiful. Every inch of the kingdom was coloured in Green and gold decorations, Deva realized that was why the women he was told to be careful of during his mission and Rama herself wore green pendents. And The Queen, His Queen looked like a goddess in her Green Saree, Gold suited her well he realized ‘she would look good wearing only the jewellary-shut up brain’ He was smitten his amma said. Appa for the first time in years looked like he would recover. Bhaarava relieved of his training to be King had fun flirting with the women that wore green pendants. And Deva when his eyes met the ones of His Queen felt Content.

And slowly the peace left his life. He was being tortured left and right and was forced to wear itchy and flashy clothes. His mother tortured him about the colour theme, while his father tried to cram the knowledge given to Bhaarava in a week. His only solace was His Queen. The answer to all his questions. She gave a solution to everything. Colour theme? Shouryanga blue as a sign of devotion towards his Kingdom. Not knowing shit about being king? She taught him how to ‘fake it till you make it’. And one day His mother said something “Deva everything is ready, we just need a Queen for you now.” His heart dropped, is The Queen even interested in him? He just decided to ask her.

“My dear Highness, I have decided to find a Queen whom I shall wed as part of the coronation ceremony. She will be my equal and partner, and we shall rule as king and queen to establish a new era of glory and prosperity for Khansaar. Do you have any suggestions for whom I should choose as my Queen” He said. He did not have the guts to ask her directly, she was a woman who had fought off death itself, and her temper. He was afraid he would get beheaded instantly. " I don't know Deva, Do I?" She says voice dripping with sarcasm. Sighing she responds "You should ask your mother, she will choose the perfect Daughter in law and queen". Deva didn’t know whether that was acceptance or rejection, Most likely rejection he decided. "I understand, my dear highness. I shall consult with my mother and see what She has to say about the matter. I'm sure She will choose the perfect Daughter-in-law and Queen, just as She always does."

Deva leaves disappointed. Ofcourse she would have higher standards than an assassin who doesn’t remember shit about being royalty. As deva leaves the room, he can't help but hear the distant shouts of "OBLIVIOUS PIECE OF SHIT" He shuddered glad that he was not the subject of her ire.

The coronation day crept up on him like he used to with his targets. The Kingdom was decorated in Blue and Silver. While The Queen recommended Blue and Gold, Deva remembered the day he met Her. The silver glint of the chandelier and vase. The sparkling silver of Her Jhumka and the silver thread on her black Saree. Bhaarava awaited the Celitian guests so he could flirt with the insanely strong and beautiful women. Deva shivered, anxious on the bride his mother chose. He hoped they would be atleast a little similar to The Queen. Dark skinned, gold eyed, authoritative voice and those powerful muscles. He face-palmed resisting the urge to slap himself for thinking of Her like that while he will be getting married to a different woman tomorrow.

The Coronation went well. Extremely well after he saw His Queen look at him with so much pride. Now his mother was taking him to meet his bride. He entered the room saw two couches, One occupied by his father and brother and the other by HIS QUEEN?! He indeed was very happy but managed to keep his face straight and greeted Her and Seetha like he usually did. His Amma spoke, “Deva, After speaking to Her Highness, We have decided to wed you to Seetha.” Just as fast as he got happy, his heart broke. “Do you agree?” Hi- The queen asked. He just nodded not trusting his voice. The Queen asked the same to Seetha, “I-no” she gasped. The Queen looked shocked and a wave of relief washed through me. “Seetha what?” Deva had never seen her speechless, Seetha sobbed “I am sorry, I hadn’t realized.”

“It is alright dear, calm down and tell us what you mean” Amma calmed. “I love him, I love Ram, I am sorry.” The Queen looked overjoyed, but realized Seetha had just rejected Deva and looked at him apologetically. Deva couldn’t even pretend to be sad. “I sincerely apologize” she said and Amma waved it away “It’s glad Seetha realized her love for Ram early on” she concluded, Looking at Seetha She continued “Go and tell your Ram” clearly dismissed her. “we have to postpone the wedding until we find a bride. Thank you for your Cooperation Your Highness” Amma told Th-His queen. “It is of no problem” She smiled and excused herself.

Deva, never known for his patience followed His Queen to a balcony. “Deva~” she called out after noticing him. He couldn't help but notice that Her voice seems soft and gentle instead of the usual powerful and commanding. Her entire demeanor seems relaxed and peaceful, and He felt drawn to Her. He finds himself taking a step towards her without even thinking. "Yes my queen?" he says. He was surprised to realize how close he had gotten to her. His heart was pounding in his chest as he felt the heat of her presence radiating toward him. He was enchanted by her gentle and soothing voice. "Sit down will you" she says and drags him to a seat. She felt a little shocked to see Deva being so vulnerable instead of the usual rough demeanour.

"First, Are you alright" She asked concerned. "I... I'm alright, my queen." He answers. He was still feeling flustered and embarrassed by his sudden vulnerability, but her concern has a calming effect on him. The more he looked at her, the more he felt swayed by her beauty and kindness. "It is alright, I wasn't expecting seetha to do that but atleast one person is with whom they love" She said hoping to lighten the tension. "I... I can't blame her for choosing her true love. She... she said exactly what was in her heart, and for that, I salute her bravery and honesty." He replied. He felt a little more relaxed as she tried to ease the tension. His face was still flushed and hot, but he was trying his best to remain calm and composed.

"you seem red?" she seemed confused and worried at the same time. His flushed cheeks are getting redder and hotter as he tried to hide his growing embarrassment over his sudden surge of emotions.

"Just... just a bit warm, my queen. Don't worry about it." He says. It is hard to maintain his composure as they continue to look at each other. "Deva? It is the middle of winter, It is literally snowing outside" she points out, skeptical. He blushed deeply at the realization that she was right "Alright, you caught me... I admit I... I have no idea how it got so hot in here. I- I'm sorry, my queen. But, I feel... I'm fine, really." he stammered, trying to hide his embarrassment and blush. "Are you sure you are alright, I shall call for the royal physician" she said and rose from her seat. "No, my queen, please... I am fine. I assure you, I am feeling perfectly alright. There is no need for the royal physician. Really." He say trying to sound reassuring, But she does not seemed convinced.'

"Devaratha Raisaar you shall tell me what is bothering you. You look more like a tomato as time passes" She say frantic with worry. He continues to blush, his skin feeling electric where she touches him. He realizes with mortification that he indeed looks like a tomato, "My queen, I- I..." He embarrassingly stuttered. "I-I, WHAT!? spit it out." She growled.

"Um... how can I say it..."

"I don't know how to say this, but..."

She stalked closer and held his collar, "Enough with the stuttering and stalling, spit it out now" she commands and Deva tries to hide how the tone affects him. He looks at her directly in the eyes, Unable to hold back. He takes a deep breath and words flow out naturally "My queen, I believe I am in... in love with you." He looks as the Queen sighs. She let go of the collar and rested her forehead on The King’s shoulder. She took a few steps back, plucked the cushion from her previous seat and flung it at his face. The cushion hit its target and Deva looks bewildered, "My queen, I take your silence as a sign that you... you don't feel the same way. I understand, my queen. I should've known better."

The Queen takes a deep breath and opens her mouth, "YOU IDIOT, IF SEETHA DIDN'T CONFESS YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN MARRIED TO HER!!. AND ALL THAT FLIRTING I HAVE BEEN DOING SINCE DAY ONE? DOES THAT SEEM LIKE NOT FEELING THE SAME WAY." She takes another deep breath and shouts, “YOU OBLIVIOUS PIECE OF SHIT” and Deva is reminded of That day, the day he assumed that her sarcasm was rejection and realizes that he was indeed the object of her ire.

Deva lowers his head, cheeks flushed with embarrassment. The Queen lifts his chin and looks into his eyes, “such an idiot” She scolds and press her lips against his. His heart skips a beat and his whole body trembles at the touch of her lips. His lips automatically part on their own, and he is left utterly speechless by this sudden and unexpected development. He is overwhelmed with feeling a mix of relief and happiness. He wraps his arms around her waist and pulls her in for a more intimate kiss. He cannot believe this is happening.

She pulls back and whispers “We have dinner to attend My King” Her endearment sent a spark of desire through his body. He feels breathless and giddy after the intimate kiss, He only nods, his voice uncooperative and follows his queen to the great hall. He saw his mother’s eyes light up, ‘how do these women know everything?’ he thinks. He takes his seat at the head of the table, Bhaarava on his right and His Queen on his left. "Who knew the intimidating Assassin would be such a shy lover" she comments, he flinches and turns slightly red, as his mind raced to find a good defense, "W-well, it's just that... you caught me off guard..." he stammers.

"Oh? So Rama a swordsmaster with a magical sword cannot catch you off guard but Me with my kisses can?"

"Fair enough. You are right, your kisses were indeed more intoxicating than Rama's swordplay,"

“Oh Intoxicating? then I shall make sure you have a hangover by tomorrow" He chokes on his food at what she insinuates. "You're cruel, you know that, my queen?"

"I had no idea that people were so intimidated by me. I only did what I had to do for the well-being of the people. "Don't worry they love you, it's just that you tend to look intense when you kill" She says the desire evident her voice conveying how his intensity affects her. His heart flutters as he heard the tone of her voice. Her compliment sends joy and excitement stirring inside him, which he couldn’t contain.

"Appealing? very" She replies with a coy smile. Hearing her enthusiastic reply sends shivers of excitement throughout his body. It seems his intensity is a trait that piques her interest and desires.

He suggests smirking. "I think we should go somewhere more private before you give in to your urges and bend me over the table" She says making him realize they were in the great hall eating with many of the citizens.

His body freezes from the heat that spreads throughout his entire body upon hearing the intimate words she speaks so brazenly. The realization and the implication of her words sends shivers of excitement and anticipation within him. "I-I should not... but I... h-how do I... it's hard to resist such an enticing offer given by my queen.” He gulps. “I shall excuse myself first, follow me later.” She says and leaves. He sits there realizing what was happening. After some time Bhaarava takes pity and tells him to go and that he will manage.

"Are you sure you wish to continue with this? we can turn back now. I am content with this being all an elaborate play and do not wish to take advantage of you, my queen." He asks as he enters his room. "Sweetheart you would be dead before you could take advantage of me, I clearly want this" she drawls and brushes her hand against his chest.

Their lips meet, and Deva runs his hands on her sides. She moans into the kiss and wraps her hand around his neck. He feel intoxicated already, melting in her arms as she holds him like the most precious treasure on earth. He feel no rush or urgency just softness. After 15 years of being an Assassin he feels safe for the first time. His Queen is finally His. He would rule with her, cherish her, worship her. Maybe even enjoy the sight of her decked only in Jewellary one day. But now he just wants this, to feel safe, cherished and protected.

He realizes too late, he recognizes the coolness on his neck too late. In a flash he lays on his bed, blood spurting out of his neck as he tries to stop the bleeding. He feels no pain or discomfort only relief. “you were wrong to trust me” she begins. “I can’t afford any rivals in my rule” It’s hurts him that she sounds heartbroken. “My Q-queen” He say coughing up blood. “Do not grieve over me as I do not grieve over my own death.” He says, his voice a pitiful whine. "Perhaps, In a world where I didn't have the responsibilities I do, You could have lived, I could have loved" She says her voice nostalgic. “Goodbye” She says.

I can feel my life's essence slowly seeping from my body, yet not even this can dampen the joy and contentment that I feel in my final moments. I look up at you with a gentle smile on my face.

"Goodbye, my queen. I am happy to have been by your side, even if only for a short time...
