I'm a firm believer of both Hongjoong and Seonghwa with a corruption kink tbh, so I believe they prefer a virgin s/o! But I think it presents very differently in the two. Hongjoong's inner devil will be activated all the time, he'll have sooo much fun teasing and flustering you and testing out your limits. Is going to introduce you to everything he's ever dreamed of in a sexual context - he'll be careful that you're comfortable at all times though!!! But he certainly will get off on your innocence alone, and might even push the teasing towards humiliation if it turns out you're into that. Meanwhile Seonghwa is going to be much softer and might actually seem a bit innocent as well? But don't be fooled, the way you react to all these sensations he's making you feel for the first time really just makes him want to ruin you. Could spend entire days just getting you off in all possible ways he can think of, just because he can't get enough of your embarrassed whines and the expressions you make

My gut feeling tells me Yunho would like being with an inexperienced s/o just a little more than with an experienced one. Don't get me wrong, he's fine with either, but knowing that someone trusts him enough to have all their firsts with him just makes him feel so needed and appreciated. And he'll be so soft and caring as he guides you through those experiences, especially if it really is the very first time you're doing something. But I also think that after a while, and after you've figured out how to best communicate during intimate moments, he will get the irresistible urge to tease you a bit too. Watches you closely as he gets you off slowly, praising you and calling you dirty for enjoying yourself so much, and he relishes in the flustered reactions he draws out of you

As for San, Jongho and Wooyoung, I think for the most part the three of them don't care. Though I do think if they had to choose, San would prefer someone inexperienced, and Wooyoung would prefer someone experienced. All three of them would take really good care of someone who doesn't have much experience, if any, and make sure to ease their partner into every new thing they're trying out together. They're comfortable taking the lead and will be very careful that you feel good at all times. However, they'd also have a lot of fun with an experienced partner, and I think Wooyoung especially would be down bad for someone who might even have more experience than him

Lastly, Mingi and Yeosang strike me as the types to be more comfortable with an experienced partner, simply because that will make them feel safest. I think they both need a lot of reassurance at the start of the relationship especially. I also think once Mingi has reached that level of comfort, there's gonna be a lot of surprises waiting for his partner (his kinky and more dominant sides jumping out 👀), so it's a plus when he's with someone who can handle and navigate all of that more easily than an untouched virgin would! Yeosang wouldn't turn out quite as freaky lol, but still likes it when he has someone who can take the lead more easily than he can. Though for both of them what matters the most is mutual trust, and in the end if the person they're with happens to be completely innocent, then y'all are still gonna find a way to make this work!

small town AU where:

Scott and Melissa moved there after losing the house during the divorce and she's working at the rural clinic while he's working under Dr. Deaton.

Stiles is still the kid of a sheriff and the sheriff's department takes care of beacon hills as well as the surrounding other small towns in the county :)

Four words, Livestock Veterinarian Alan Deaton! Four more bonus words Livestock Veterinary Assistant Scott!!! A bunch of more words Deaton and Scott with cute little baby farm animals!!!!!!!!

Derek Hale is a city kid turned farmhand on an old man's farm (the old man in question is Elias, Stiles' grandfather)(and to the question why is Stiles or his father working at the farm is because 1. Elias lets his son work as a sheriff because whatever and 2. Stiles is a walking disaster no way is he letting that boy in charge of farm chores nuh uh not even on a lazy almost fall summer day where there's not much than the usual morning feeding also 3. Derek was only hired after Elias accepted that he was not as young and capable as he used to be and Noah and Stiles put themselves in charge of finding a farmhand)(Derek was the only one to send in a reply to their job ad) and the farm primarily raises sheep for meat and wool but I'd like to think that after Derek started working there a few years back he'd regularly add in new animals every summer or so. Sometimes he'd raise poultry, sometimes it's a small drove of pigs, sometimes it's not even animals but just a crop of pumpkins and squash and tomatoes and cucumbers!!

Derek loves the sheep. He's a shepherd through and through.

Jackson is not a whittemore but a miller, except his parents just died a bit later into his life and he lives with the whittemores on their large scale hay farm where there's an added bonus (to me)! h o r s e s !!!!

(all of this is just a way for me to write my fav characters interacting with my longest running obsession of all time, horses)

Lydia's mother owns the town's bistro/bar, her father owns the lodge built next to it. It used to be a whole business but it split with the divorce but there's still the whole B&B package deal to this day as it's wayyyyy too popular to risk losing business by stopping it.

Allison moved there pretty recently and the guns business her family owns fits in pretty well with the need for safety of the farmer and their livestock from predators and also for the wild game hunters in the late summer through fall hunting season.

Scott and Lydia bonding over being two kids from a divorced family. Scott and Lydia bonding over having pet dogs (Roxy is alive and Prada and her are absolute besties). Scott and Lydia being partners in science projects. Scott and Lydia spending wayy too long staring into each others eyes than how much friends would. Scott and Lydia realizing they want to be more than friends.

Stiles spouting off cool animal facts that Scott 100% already knew but acts like he didn't because both of them are stupidly in love with each other.

Scott meeting Derek when on the job. He can't help but crush over Derek and his enthusiasm over regenerative agricultural practices.

Jackson trying to impress Scott and Stiles by trotting up and down the main street on his horse. (I live laugh love by my Scott/Stiles/Jackson agenda) He also gets his dad to bring his horse over to school so he can just ride on it back home, in hopes of impressing Scott and Stiles but Scott is too invested in Stiles animal facts that they only way Jackson really has a chance was when Scott came over with Deaton for an emergency check up on a rogue cow on their property that was limping bad. Jackson straight up embarasses himself because he's a loser :P but Scott finds the attempt endearing and asks if he'd want to hang out with him and Stiles. It's the beginning of a slippery slope of 'Oh. Oh.' realizations for the three of them.

Scott and Allison meeting each other at the bistro and it starts a blossoming relationship that tugs at the heartstrings. It's cute little notes during class and hanging out at the bistro over hot chocolate even on hot days and going over to each others house to watch TV to cuddle under the same blanket and quick glances at each other and it's so goshdarn cute.

BASICALLY, SCOTT/EVERYONE because I can't choose which ship to go with this au because Scott DESERVES everyone and everyones ALSO DESERVES Scott :D

Mark hears a shuffling noise in front of him and his fingers still as he looks up from his laptop, focusing on the guy hovering awkwardly at the edge of the table Mark’s camped out in the library. Paper is slipping out from between the books in his arms, a notebook shoved in one of them closed haphazardly, his open laptop balanced awkwardly on top. 

“Hey,” he says. “I am so sorry, but the table I was at doesn’t have a wall plug and my laptop is about to die.” His, frankly impressive, eyebrows scrunch together in a wince and Mark wonders what it’s about. 

“Oh,” Mark says, “yeah sure of course.” He waves at the empty end of the table  Mark pulls his glasses off his face and tries to wipe off the huge smudge with his shirt tail. He looks through them, realizes he’s only made it worse, then sighs and pulls a disposable wet wipe out of the front pocket of his backpack. He cracks it open, looking over at the guy settling across the table from mark out of the corner of his eye. 

The mild alcohol smell of it fills his nostrils as he wipes his glasses, then wipes them on his shirt again to dry them off. Mark crumples the wipe back into its original packaging, and tucks it into the side pocket of his backpack. 

Books spread out on the desk, laptop settled in front of one of the chairs, the guy walks around the table to get to the plug on the wall on Mark’s right. Mark looks over as his shadow falls over Mark’s laptop. 

He stands up straight, and up close Mark notices his gorgeous brown eyes, even though they’re squinted with how hard he’s smiling. Smiling at Mark. He sticks his hand out, saying “Hi. I’m Max.” 

Mark looks up at him, smiling helplessly back, caught in the gravity of Max’s smile. “I’m Mark.” 

“Nice to meet you.” Max bites his bottom lip on a smile. Mark sees this, feels his cheeks go hot, and looks back at his computer. 

“Nice to meet you, too.” Max takes this as a signal to walk back around the table and work on his paper. 

Mark keeps looking at Max out of the corner of his eyes, barely focusing on the problem set in front of him. 

Max is a decent table partner, not loud doesn’t take up too much space. But he’s distractingly gorgeous, even in the terrible overhead fluorescent lighting. Mark doesn’t know what to say, so he doesn’t say anything, leaning over his scratch paper and typing the results into the answer space. 

When he’s done, he realizes he’s hungry, and reaches into his backpack for a granola bar. Max looks up at the crumple of the wrapper, head tilted slightly, a soft look in his eyes that Mark interprets as longing. 

Mark pulls another granola bar out of his bag and slides it across the table to Max. 

“Oh,” Max says, soft, “You don’t have to…” he trails off, but it’s obvious to Mark that he wants it. His hand twitches on his notebook, clenching around his pen. 

“You look hungry,” Mark says, encouraging. “Go on, it’s not a big deal.” 

“Do you have anything to drink?” Max asks, biting at the corner of his lip. 

“No?” Mark had left his water bottle on his desk when he left this morning. 

“I’ll grab us a drink.” Max stands, and pulls his wallet out of his pocket. “What kind of soda do you want? On me.” 

“Uhm,” Mark says, trying to figure out if he should take it, but he’s thirsty, and he doesn’t want to walk all the way downstairs just for one gulp of water. “Sure. A Sprite?” 

Max winks at Mark and says, “You got it.” 

“I’l uh,” Mark says as Max walks away, “watch your stuff.” 

Max smiles at Mark over his shoulder and Mark’s stomach flops. <i>Oh.</i> "Thanks," Max says. "I'll be right back."

Please don’t report me: Let’s just say that there were one…two?- Definitely a certain amount of occurrences where Mayuu almost struck Nox. She claims it was out of self-defense since she was caught off guard by his presence. Nothing says hello like an elbow to the face. “I’m so sorry- I SWEAR I didn’t mean to do that?!?!”

You’re a cruel one, Nox: Mayuu finds the degree of his dislike for fae to be odd. But she supposes she can’t judge him; she doesn’t know him too well, even with knowledge of him in past timelines. But still, it’s somewhat heartbreaking for her to see how he is with faeries, especially considering that the ones she knew were nothing but helpful. “Don’t you suppose that…you’re being too much?” Mayuu wears a look of disapproval.

What the hell’s up with him?: He’s weird as hell, and that’s not really saying much… Everyone is strange and hella weird to Mayuu. But what separates him is his creepiness and overall vibe. She can handle nervous weirdos like Idia, but Saga? Yeah… No thanks. “If I had to choose between cleaning up the entire campus or hanging out with Saga for an hour, I’d be heading straight for the janitor’s closet right when you mention his name.”

Take a chill pill, I meant no ill will: At first, Mayuu didn’t really bat another eye at this fellow. NRC students are weird, she knows that well. But Saga’s accusations of her being suspicious of him? Especially with that “glare” of hers? The prefect felt… disheartened. Ah Mayuu, your natural RBF never fails to bite you in the ass… “What glare?! THAT’S JUST HOW I LOOK!?!?” Mayuu said calmly.

I’m crazy?? YOU’RE CRAZY!!: To no surprise, this poor prefect is fed up with Saga. No matter how many chances of redemption she gives him, it just seems hopeless. His remarks about her only add more salt to the wound. “Lord have mercy- this f- MAN is going to make me lose my hair before I turn 20!! I don't judge him for his 'hobby', so he better not judge me for strangling Kyuu.”

Understandable, please shut up: Despite being the listening type, Mayuu can’t help but get overwhelmed when this guy opens his mouth. His nonsense is just a neverending stream of negative blabbering… Believe me, she has tried to respond back, but that just seems to encourage him to ramble even more. “My brain can only handle so much… he’s like a toddler when he babbles. Christ, my head’s spinning again just by thinking about it.” Mayuu looked like she was about to lose it then and there. Yeesh, guess he was too much for her to handle.

i think one of the many reasons i am soooooo not normal over corrin/gunter other than hot old man is in a weird way...

even in their most loving/genuinely sweet/tender/unbearably wholesome-cute moments.... there's always that bittersweet vibe of disapproval. or outright disgust at them. it's not entirely without reason given the power dynamics, but even in a CQ marriage where they do everything right, i bet you money they'd still have to keep an paranoid eye out or kinda be mostly stealth.

but you have that disapproval that then starts a chain reaction of how their individual insecurities sometimes bounce/tangle with that. some days it's easy to brush off and then some days it .. isn't. and then how their id also wrestles with the "we should" or "we shouldn't-" type of shame. not to get all navel gazey here but "perfectly approved" (or even perfectly "balanced") relationships are an entirely alien concept for me given immutable Reasons, so it's really quite cathartic to see characters work at a relationship in a mutual good faith effort and still have that flavor of social reality to deal with.

for all of FE Fates' warts and flops with the plot, it does an incredibly nuanced job in terms of elaborating on delicate/hidden power dynamics that rarely get mentioned in the rest of the series.

🧠 Pick a character, and I'll tell you my favorite headcanon for them.

— this, but in the sense that I would love to hear more about what you think about Rebecca as a character. You write her wonderfully mean, but does she have redeemable qualities for you?

OOOH yes okay. (Also buckle in, this got long.)

Part of what makes Rebecca so fun for me is that the only information we have of her is filtered through at least 2-3 unreliable narrators at any given time - we have the Narrator's feelings about what she's seeing and being told (insecurity, anxiety, awe) PLUS the feelings of whoever's telling her about Rebecca (obsession, rejection, anger, fear) AND what they want to accomplish in telling her about Rebecca (intimidate her, comfort her, relieve themselves of guilt). So very little about her is ever fully true, but no one seems to be (deliberately) lying about her either... which means there's so much room for interpretation.

I think ultimately, she's a selfish person. She doesn't do anything she doesn't see a point in doing, including things like staying monogamous to her husband, but I think she's incredibly socially astute. She wouldn't have been widely beloved by everyone if there wasn't something to like, so she was very charismatic, observant, and good at making friends - and most of the time, that comes from a genuine desire to like people and be liked. I think very few people are actually evil manipulative sociopaths who are only nice to people to control them.

She's clearly a very talented sportswoman, and that takes a lot of dedication, discipline, daring and ambition. I don't think she mindlessly indulges in vice, but she's going to do what she wants when she wants to, and I think she'd be up for trying anything once. She's also probably competitive and stubborn to a flaw.

She is also, I think, a very tightly controlled woman. She might act on impulse or do "illogical" things but I think she's always thinking about what's next and how to get to it, and always calculates her next moves based on a strong internal logic even if it's not obvious from the outside. (BUT - how much of that is influenced by Max's belief, which he shares with the Narrator, that Rebecca "purposefully goaded him into killing her", thus casting her as some all-powerful mastermind?? I'm not sure. I think it's also interesting to consider that she was just a woman who got dealt incredible hands until the day she didn't anymore.)

I think she can be incredibly mean, and that living with Maxim probably made her worse in that regard, but I don't think she's inherently cruel or evil. I'm writing her much further along that spectrum for Wenn der Abend Beginnt because, honestly, it's fun and kind of hot to explore that sort of attitude in fiction and it works to enhance the themes of monstrosity, perversion, and reciprocation that I'm exploring in the fic. But I think she was a person, and she was loved, and I want to reconcile that those things can be true AND that she can have done bad things AND that we never hear the full side of her story anyway. I want to explore all of it!

So yes, I absolutely think she has redeemable qualities, because the best characters do and in my opinion the best "villain" characters ESPECIALLY do, and du Maurier wrote some good damn characters.

I swear to god, I will not be surprised if Jesse telling Cole "I love you" for the first time happens during DotD. Like, just imagine that Cole is nearly fading away, and Jesse (crying his eyes out, nose is running, emotions are flaring up into an Outburst), in a moment of sheer terror & anguish, just screams those 3 words at the top of his lungs, praying that it's enough to stop the love of his life from straight-up dying in front of him... and it works, if only to buy them just enough time.

Oooooooh how tragic! Desperately clawing onto life like that and only hanging onto it by a thread, throwing out a final lifeline in the form of love and just hoping it’ll be enough T-T)9
