Do y’all know what time it is..

More monster head canons, let’s goooooo!

- Neil likes the Fox mascot a lot cause, y’know, it’s a Fox (and I also like to think whoever is in it is considered a cheerleader so the Foxes know them) and Aaron takes every chance to call Neil a furry for it

- Neil has a very strong intuition, so whenever he has a bad feeling about something, the Monsters (and Foxes) listen. (For example, one time the monsters are on the way to Eden’s, when Neil suddenly demands Andrew slow down. Andrew isn’t a particularly crazy driver, but he likes to go fast. Hearing the panic in Neil’s voice, he slows as fast as the car will let him, and not even seconds later a couple of cars in front of them crash into each other at considerable speeds, two of five cars rolling over.

- Thea and Kevin got together after Kevin turned 18 and Roland rejected Andrew’s advances, only giving him advice <3

- Neil/Andrew with key tattoo’s <3333

- Not a single monster (or most of the Foxes) are any good at sleep, so they mostly end up in the den together at three in the morning.

- (Banging pots and pans) Kevin Day with an Irish accent! Kevin Day with an Irish accent!

- Mmmm… professional Palmetto State Foxes. You couldn’t pry this from my cold, dead hands

- Neil is scarily flexible. He can fall asleep in any position. Once he gets settled into his dorm with Andrew and Kevin, it’s free rein. He’s under a bean bag, looking like a whole ass pretzel. He’s laid over the back of the couch with his arms around him knees. He can tuck his ankle over the back of his head. He can pull his leg far enough over his back to lick his heel. He does that weird thing where people bend back so far they grab their shins and peak their head through their ankles. He likes to lay in this one position where his knee is out and his foot is under him and pressed against the curve of his opposing hip. Every one of the Foxes has walked in on this. Every single one is horrified.

- For months after Nicky found out Wymack was Kevin’s dad, Kevin’s grave would’ve been marked ‘death by dad joke’

- Kevin spelt his last name as “Daye” for a large part of his childhood.

- Aaron, Renee, and Andrew jam out to Folk music

- Aaron and Neil both had growing pains, like bad ones, and they are both very salty at Andrew and Kevin for not having them (especially since Kevin is so tall) (Aaron is just salty about it in general because they didn’t do shit)

- Kevin and Neil break a record for latest retirement in exy (42-47 ish)

- Neil will just.. eat dry ramen when he’s too tired to actually make anything. Aaron no longer hates him, but he sees that while up all night studying and he doesn’t sleep for another week.

- Neil is ambidextrous

- Kevin’s plate is constantly stolen off of. He has a strict diet, but being out of the nest let’s him explore just a little. He gets a burger at sweeties because he decided he wanted one, and he doesn’t even touch his fries before he realizes they’re gone. Andrew stole the majority, so there’s no much he could do about that, but he throws a remaining fry crumb Nicky’s way. This continues any time Kevin has something mildly edible. Neil will do it just to annoy him, but almost always just gives it Andrew. Wymack has been called about food fights from other athletes and college staff. The poor, poor college staff. (Also Kevin exploring stuff outside of the Raven’s touch <33333)

- How many ‘Deez Nuts’ jokes do you think Nicky tricks Wymack into? There’s absolutely a running tally in the lounge.

Lastinger Center for Learning: Celebrating 20 Years of Excellence

In February of 1999, University of Florida alumni Allen and Delores Lastinger announced a $2 million donation to the College of Education for the establishment of the Lastinger Center for Learning. The mission of the center was to develop projects that promote the achievement and success of at-risk youth in local public schools. It includes a special focus on math, science, economics, and conflict resolution. To fulfill this mission, the center focused on supporting K-12 classroom teachers across the state of Florida by relying on their expertise, experience, and input in program development.  

Celebrating 20 Years of Excellence, the Lastinger Center established itself as an intentional and creative hub for educational innovation across the state of Florida. Despite this commitment to innovation, the shared values of listening to teachers and caring for the underserved children in Florida’s classrooms remain a consistent theme.
