Now that I've written out Sigyn's GOW verse, all the headcanons for it are suddenly coming at me all at once. So here they are...at least some of them...
Just some headcanons about Sigyn in her God of War Verse:
Thrúd was Sigyn's best friend in Asgard. She knew of her father's problems with drinking and would help talk her through it. They would also often train together to become Valkyrie.
Just like everyone else in Asgard, Sigyn never got along well with Heimdall. He would often call her out for not wanting to become a Valkyrie and mocked her for wanting to hold a bowl rather than a sword instead.
Sigyn never thought bad of the Jotunn and her thoughts were confirmed when meeting Atreus/Loki. He encouraged her to follow her dreams and be herself.
Sigyn was deeply heartbroken losing her parents during Ragnarok, but decided to finally admit to Sif and Thrud that she didn't want to be a Valkyrie. Instead she wants to learn magic and become a Healer. She refuses to no longer ignore not following her heart and dreams.
If Sigyn had met Atreus/Loki in Asgard, I feel she would have instantly developed a crush on him. No lies there. And she would have talked with him during his stay there, being a friend to him along with Thrud, welcoming him with open arms.
And when he decides to leave and go figure out who Loki is supposed to be, along with finding other giants, Sigyn goes along with him, wanting to find her destiny as well (which is ironically, in turn, making her into the Goddess of Fidelity since she sticks by his side and is loyal to him.)
Contrary to popular belief, Sigyn would get along well with Angrboda and considers her as another friend. They would bond over art, magic and animals too. And when Sigyn does eventually figure out that Atreus/Loki has a crush on Angrboda, she would try to pair them together, encouraging it, even if she is sad she isn't the one he likes.
She learns magic from both Atreus/Loki and Angrboda.

last song: Famous Last Words by MCR. I’ve been on a kick for the last week-ish
currently watching: Not a whole lot, but I started watching the new season of Black Mirror with one of my friends.
currently reading: Just finished Childhood’s End by Arthur C. Clarke and picked up The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco, but I’m not very far in yet.
current obsession: Aside from tlt (which is an obsession I’m now convinced will never really go away), I’ve been getting wayyy into the lore of Destiny (the game series). So if you’ve seen me reblogging vaguely suggestive art containing alien bug goddesses, that’s that.
I’ve done this once or twice before but I always like getting tagged in these things :)
Again no pressure to do this but passing it along to some people I don’t think I’ve tagged before: @androgynousladyjellyfish @soupseason @bimbomcgee @shutup-rachel @officialbogwitch @na102 @fire-swift @mercymornsimpathizer @yaboywillyshakes

In the Marvel verse, Sigyn manages to survive the Snap/Blip and isn't one of the casualities.
However, this doesn't mean it makes it easier on her. She's dealing with the trauma that comes from Thanos and everything he has done:
She was on the Statesman and one of the survivors who witnessed Thanos kill some of their people
Thanos almost killed Sigyn, but is saved by Thor, Loki and the others
However, she witnessed Heimdall's death
But the one that really haunts her dreams every night is what follows after when Loki, fenying loyalty to Thanos, tries to kill him with a dagger and it goes completely wrong.
Sigyn can remember screaming and shouting and pleading and then everything going cold after witnessing Thanos killing Loki.
At first denial kicks in and she thinks maybe Loki is pulling another one of his tricks again. Yeah, he will show up again perfectly fine, safe and alive, saying hi and apologizing for causing a panic and making her think the worst.
But there is something about this which doesn't sit right in Sigyn's gut this time around. This isn't how it usually is. Something about this seems...finale.
She's not even processing the fact Thanos has destroyed the rest of the Statesman and is leaving her and Thor to die. Sigyn feels nothing but frozen, everything has stopped around her, her eyes are focused on Loki's unmoving ones, waiting for a change to happen. Thor's sobbing is what hits her in full force, breaking her from it and making her realize the reality: Loki isn't coming back this time.
At this point Sigyn becomes frozen in her shock. Her emotions have been put on pause. She wants to break down and sob, and cry, and scream, and break, and fall apart, but she knows she can't. Thor needs her. Everyone else in the universe needs her. So she gathers herself up and puts on a brave face, hiding her grief underneath until it slowly starts to consume her in quiet ways. She joins the Avengers and tries to help them stop Thanos.
But Thanos ends up winning. Half of the population is disintergrating like dust in the wind and in a panic, Sigyn calls out to Thor, rushing over to him, afraid she will lose her brother-in-law too. But they are both okay. They are survivors...
Sigyn can't blame Thor for killing Thanos and cutting off his head. A part of her wanted to do the same, but she knew it wouldn't bring back Loki. So she tries to help her brother-in-law, but still refuses to deal with and face her own grief, afraid she will become lost in it...which happens to Thor.
Sigyn works alongside Valkyrie to help with New Asgard and their people. She was once the Princess of Asgard, but now she is the Princess of New Asgard.
She suffers from nightmares and PTSD.
When she hears of a chance of traveling back in time and trying to change things, Sigyn knows they have to take this opportunity. She also wants one final chance to see Loki again.
So she goes back in time to Asgard with Thor and Rocket and ends up seeing not only Frigga, but Loki. He doesn't notice her watching him in the shadows, but she is there, wanting to warn him of what will happen, but knowing she can't change it.
Sigyn is on the battlefield alongside Thor and the rest of the Avengers who have now been brought back from the Blip, and is determined to stop the Alternate Thanos and avenge Loki.
They succeed in stopping Alternate Thanos, and returning everyone back, but Sigyn knows Loki won't return. And finally accepting to deal with her grief and acknowledge it, she breaks down crying to her brother-in-law, unleashing five years worth of it.
Despite returning back to New Asgard, Sigyn still struggles with the loss of Loki, but works to help honor him and those lost both in Ragnarok and by Thanos by honoring their memory.
She doesn't know that an alternate version of Loki managed to escape and is alive out there in the universe, but if she were to find out, she'd probably cry....
