Big boy manga haul today!!

#prince's talk tag #boy did i go hard today #so after finding out kino DOES have cds after telling me they dont i found the persona3 soundtrack on sale behind a case #so ofc i had to get bc thats my second favorite game ever and its one of the only osts i can listen to the whole thing #and not skip a song #i bought hikaru died at kino bc they had a bonus included in the purchase of volume 1 #miyano and sasaki was one i was interested in but held off bc i didn't know how long it was going for #but today i hear my friend recommending loud and clear in my head sooo i caved #i wasn't gonna get classmates bc i hadnt read volume 1 yet but they didnt have vol 2 3 or 4 of bloom in to you #so that was the substitute #went to 4 bookstores and they only had volumes 1 5 and 8 of that manga and then an anthology and some of the novels #its happening im officially collecting my all time favorite manga‚ gekkan shoujo #best manga ever!!!!!! idc what anyone else says #also to fill the void bloom would of filled is adachi and shimamura which was another series i was interested in #ofc bought the miku anthology bc i love kei's art #bought a light novel bc ive seen gifs of one of the characters in the movie and wanted to check out

Yuri Romance Light Novel from the Creator of 'Adachi and Shimamura' Licensed in English

On Friday, Yen Press announced that it has licensed the Yuri drama light novel series My First Love's Kiss (Watashi no Hatsukoi Aite ga Kiss Shiteta) and will release the first volume in August 2024. The series is written by Adachi and Shimamura creator Hitoma Iruma and illustrated by popular Yuri artist Fly (Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki).

The publisher describes the series:

Takasora Hoshi’s life is upended when a girl from her class named Umi Mizuike and her mother temporarily move into her family’s cramped apartment. From the outset of this arrangement, Takasora finds herself annoyed by Umi’s behavior...and her good looks. And though the two girls initially agree to avoid interfering with each other’s lives, Takasora can’t help but start to wonder where Umi keeps wandering off to at night…

My First Love's Kiss is connected to Iruma's high school Yuri series Adachi and Shimamura, with crossover characters appearing in later volumes. However, unlike that series, its story is more bittersweet and gloomy.

The light novels began publication in Japan in January of 2022 under ASCII Media Works's Dengeki Bunko imprint. The third and final Japanese volume was released in December of that year.

Hitoma Iruma is a Japanese author best known for his series Ground Control to Psychoeletric Girl and Adachi and Shimamura, both of which received anime and manga adaptations. He frequently collaborates with Bloom Into You creator Nio Nakatani, working with her on the Bloom Into You spin-off series, Regarding Saeki Sayaka, and the original light novel works End Blue and Shoujo Mousou Chuu.

Fly is an illustrator known especially for her Yuri artwork and for illustrating Bottom-Tier Characters Tomozaki and Chasing after Aoi Koshiba, as well as creating Kemono Friends and providing the character designs for P.A. Works' Iroduku: The World in Colors. Fly has also contributed artwork, cover illustrations, and manga for several anthologies, including four volumes of Syrup (Licensed by Seven Seas), the first Bloom Into You Anthology (Seven Seas), and éclair (Yen Press).

Hello again. I'm the anon from before. The comic I'm referring to looks like a one shot (not a 4koma) and has hiragana written on top of kanji. That's why I thought it may be from DNA comics. Adachi is on the floor with the dress, and Yosuke is like "You too, Adachi-san!?" Dojima arrives later. I have both the Adachi Anthology and the three Golden Anthologies from DNA, but it's not there. So maybe it's from one of the five original volumes (I don't know if you have all those). Thanks again!

points laughs scoffs at those attempting to learn about iznmi that im gatekeeping at this point i am so smart i am the only one correct one lobe of my brain is a database dedicated to them and all the lore attached i have barely a smidgen of fluency with japanese i am gathering so many books i cant read i am waiting for my copy of the trivia book to read and find a small qna box squeezed in pages scattered across the book for some crumb of behind the scenes information on Anything while i add another spin off to my repertoire as i play it in futile attempt to find Anything on them i hate their character design i nitpick it on technical levels no one would care to think about there is a shortage of proper horror and gore artists in this community and im devastated i am watching the same five minute clip from a stageplay no one watches since it isn't subbed and every month i thoroughly lose my mind over it on levels no normal person can comprehend i read the same document of all of their dialogue and text and descriptions and flavor text even remotely related to them i listen to the same less than half an hour of dialogue i could find i laugh at code i open a kanji dictionary and cry i dont believe the anime exists i dont read the anthologies i get soundtracks to read their booklets i have been scarred by voice actors themselves and i will never know peace again ive conditioned myself to treat their dungeon theme as a lullaby and boss theme to be the most emotional thing ive ever heard in my life i dont like adachi but hes part of the lore package i start crying i write about them and say theyre out of character i will never be satisfied i blocked the character tag for almost a whole year now it's full of some anime man i have a plushie of despite not playing his game i am woobifying them i am making them more correct it is 2022

Hello! I hadn't updated my pinned post in a while so I figured I'd adjust that!

Hi I'm Coping! I'm a 20 something illustrator who is really sad and really gay. I started this side blog when I was dealing with undiagnosed borderline after developing a deep crush on someone. The stories I was reading at the time really hit hard at that time and kept making me reflect on my feelings but I was frustrated some stuff wasn't posted here on tumblr. Making this alias has really given me the opportunity to collect media that helps me process what I've gone through.
