What are those extra descriptors (i.e. Buidhe, Ballach, Caoch, Roe, Duff, etc.) representing when they appear in names in the more generation/history focused works? Was a nickname that historically common when one was irish nobility?

{a lil brain stormy post about my boi, because i can't be bothered to write it elsewhere, and wanna put the things somewhere-- also slapping a cut on this, because we got long oops--}

💠} Is something of a quiet type, usually preferring to observe new people/things he encounters before interacting much directly-- that said, though, he's also rather curious about most new things-- and perhaps somewhat naïve...

💠} Was once the familiar/companion to an old mage, the two living alone together in a secluded wilderness cabin/small-ish castle--

💠} Ended up left alone in the place they called home a few years on, once his mentor passed due to old age-- Still lives in the home they had shared together, which although a bit lonely, for the most part he doesn't mind.

💠} Has a slightly higher concentration of draconic blood than your average dragon hybrid, and so, can display his dragon features much more easily than most others are usually able.

💠} Most often the extent of this will be allowing his horns and tail to be on display, however, it isn't all too uncommon for his wings to be included as well. In addition to these features, though, there are still a few added traits he can posses as well--

💠} Namely; clawed hands/feet, a tongue that is... surprisingly long--, a slightly more impressive set of fangs-- And lastly, a few features of a more... Intimate nature-- But, details of that shall wait for a later post.

💠} Whilst his more draconic features are on display, Airith's inner flesh (ie: things such as his tongue/inside his mouth), take on a blue color rather than the more normal hue of pink. Much like with certain types of lizards, though, this is simply pigmentation of the skin-- and not anything with do with the color of his blood.

💠} And for a final note related to his draconic features-- a couple of subtle features that are ever present are a small set of fangs (singular, rather than the double set he gains with more strong feature displays), and pupils that while mostly rounded-- truly sit as more of a rounded diamond shape, and react much like a cat's depending on the surrounding light.

I was asked to DM a marathon session (8+ hours) for a friend-of-a-friend's bachelor party. So I’ve written up a Post-Apoc horror campaign using inspiration from @dungeonsdonuts Dark Sun 5e adaptation and Middle Finger of Vecna’s “Wasteland” Update. @swordpeddler ‘s Hex Kit map maker was the perfect resource to get a fantastic functioning map of the world I’m calling “Airith”. And since I’m not able to just half-ass it, I made some character grams for the available races and & classes that they can choose from this time around.

Deserts, Warboys, Lost Civilizations, Nomads, Psychopathic Warlords, Radiation Freaks, Murderhobos, What could go wrong?

side note: any of you cats want to look over the compendium/campaign I’ve written? I’m thinking about self-publishing some of my stuff and it would be great to have others critique and help me polish it into something great.
