ʚ IWAIZUMI ;; he should’ve seen it coming, he thinks. it all seemed too good to be true, with how you sought him out whenever oikawa was around. he honestly should’ve figured you had ulterior motives, still, it was his choice to become ignorant to the way his mind screamed at him to stop indulging in your presence whenever he noticed the way your eyes lingered at oikawa. it hurt like hell, though, to see how your face seemed to brighten and your smile became wider when oikawa looked at you. iwaizumi just wished he’d stopped himself from loving you.

ʚ AKAASHI ;; it feel bittersweet, how he loved to imagine that someday he’d be able to hold your hand as you both walked down the street, yet he’s forced to see the sight he always wished for, only that it’s you and bokuto. and he can’t even resent it, because he’s the one who motivated bokuto into confessing. though he wouldn’t have done so if he’d known he was referring to you, but the more he thinks about it, the more he realizes that he never even stood a chance against him. he was everything you didn’t look for in a romantic partner, and maybe that’s why he should’ve known you were never going to see him that way.

ʚ OSAMU ;; he hates family reunions. not because he hates his family, but because he’s forced to see you shower atsumu with affection. then again, it’s not like he can do anything about it, he pushed you into atsumu’s arms, after all. well, he didn’t really know he’d coaxed you into his brother’s life, he really did think you were referring to him whenever you talked to him about who held your affection. maybe he should’ve told you it was him who made all those cards that he placed in your desk instead of letting you assume that the ‘miya’ signed at the bottom was atsumu’s. he’s wanted to do so too, but when he sees how happy you and his brother look with each other, he can never bring himself to ruin your happiness.

ʚ OIKAWA ;; he always feels like his heart shatters whenever he sees you walking around ushijima. he’s already lost so much to that guy, so why did he have to lose you too? he really wishes he’d done something to be able to be on the receiving end of your love, to know what it feels like to hold you close and press kisses against your face. he never thought it’d hurt so much to see you with someone else, mainly because he never imagined you’d find someone who wasn’t him. maybe he should’ve told you how he felt sooner, he thinks, perhaps that would’ve stopped his future self to be in this much pain. and it’s even worse when you tell him that you’d had a crush on him, and he wishes he could tell you he did too.
