got to see the @narcissistcookbook in dallas, thoroughly enjoyed it

#i draw #the narcissist cookbook #really fun show Overall!!#like the ideal narcissist cookbook setlist. a bunch of my favs. so cool #i really wanted to figure out how to get a lyric quote to look alright with this composition and i COULDNT do it #it woulve been 'as the heavens beneath us convulse and contract to be near us' if i couldve made it work. fav lyric #side note on the piece: i didnt MEAN to make it the pansexual flag. i do this a lot. pink yellow and blue just look so good together whoops #i am not pan just a real big fan of their flag Apparently #inspired by 2 album covers! eden disorder and conditional love #i wouldve made a physical piece or doodle to give @ the merch table but i only knew i was GOING to the show about 24 hours before it #i was the guy who got to come because my friend broke up with his gf lol. got slid into the schedule very last minute #this is the first concert ive actually gotten to say hi to the band(s) at! really glad i got to come! not glad about WHY but yknow #silver linings

listening to my so much (for) stardust cassette tape for the first time and having a spiritual experience

I finally, FINALLY listened to Pado (the CD) and FINALLY heard all the songs. My opinion? I need to hear these songs in a club immediately (or some other dancing space) because dancing from the waist up in my car is not cutting it. I need the music to be so loud that it can enter my bloodstream and change my heartbeat to match.

Holy crap though like "Pado" really does deserve a Korean release, I'm immensely curious how it would sound and what kind of lyrics they'd write. Also I am praying to every god out there that they release a "Pado" choreo video. Watching it at the concert, it was beautiful, and I want it ingrained into my brain

(I think my biggest gripe about "Pado" is that I get too wrapped up in the music and the effects to properly pay attention to their voices)

Queen released ‘A Winter's Tale’/‘Thank God It's Christmas’/'Rock In Rio Blues’ in UK

🔸"Freddie wrote the song in Montreux, in a little house on the lake that we called The Duck House. The extraordinary thing is he's talking about life and its beauty at a time when he knows he hasn't got very long to go, yet there's no wallowing in emotion, it's just absolutely purely observed.

So that's the way I wanted my solo to be. It was one of those things where I could hear it in my head, long before I actually got to play it. And when I recorded it, at my home studio, in my head I was there with Freddie in Montreux in those moments, even though this was happening long after he was gone."

🔸🔸The statue is now a permanent fixture by the lake, with Freddie standing proud, purveyor of a spectacular landscape and the many people that come to visit him there.
