I think this is so disappointing of Mattel. They sent @Lemonbaydoll and @thepapercostumier on Instagram and Etsy a cease and desist with their work. Tory, the paper doll creator I follow on Instagram had this really cool and cute paper doll series of grown up historical girls (in the time period they would be adults) and riffing with the girls’ outfits from the collections but newly styled to fit their new time period and adult status. Attached below is some examples- I couldn’t find a lot because it seemed it got wiped. It’s just unfortunate because while I understand protecting your artistic IP the paper dolls feels more in the realm of what Pleasant Company was than what American girl is now :/ anyways I’d love to hear all of your thoughts!

my sister is 7 years my elder and suggested the name of her favorite doll to my parents before I was born so I am named after Samantha Parkington haha.

I have been on AGIG (American Girl Instagram) since 2019 but I wanted to try something a little different!!

I’m autistic and I suffer from the chronic illness POTS. because of this illness I am in an online university program and will be getting a wheelchair in a couple months (and it’ll have pink accents, my favorite!!)

I got my dolls reorganized after my dad and I put together the new shelves. I think it's looking snazzy and I'm excited to give a brief doll collection tour. My collection has several different types, though I'd say Rainbow High and Barbie are the majority of my collection. I know I probably have too many, but I love them. One of my all time favorites is still my Kida doll because she was my favorite princess as a kid. I have a hard time picking favorites though.

this morning i was doing my best to dress all my dolls for an upcoming snow storm, and i realized courtney has no cold weather gear!

i suppose she might not own her own, as she lives in sunny california, but it could be that the outfit is technically borrowed from a friend or something.

idk, it just feels like such a huge missed opportunity. AG loves putting her in those incredibly bright colors, and 80s ski suits are right there man! im no fashion historian, so i don’t know how reasonable it would have been for her to wear one, even borrowed; however, i feel like there other items in her collection that also aren’t the most feasible so. ag should just do it anyway. for me. because i think snow sets are cute 🥰

Okay so I needed to share this because almost no one was as enthusiastic about this as me and my coworker, but in my place of work, we found around 16- 16- FIRST EDITION American Girl books.

(Black markings for a bit extra privacy) but yeah, we found them and went crazy! We found all of Felicity’s books (with about two copies of each), three of Addy’s, a few of Samantha’s, one of Kirsten’s, and one for Josefina! Apparently we also have Kaya and Kit somewhere but 🥺 I’m so happy these things were my favorite things as a little girl!
