Soooo for the future AU with married Kim and Ramona, who do you think would take whose last name?? Or would they double barrel them?? Or not mess with their last names at all? Was literally lying awake thinking about this last night it means far too much to me
Oh man... much to consider...
Obviously, the funny/correct (/j) answer is they end up hyphenating it as Pine-Flowers.
But honestly like.. either of them taking the others name is also so cute? Kim Flowers, Ramona Pine.... they make me very 💞💞💞
(Flowers-Pine is also a fine order for the hyphenated take, and arguably more funny since Pine-Flowers is right there, but I think Pine-Flowers has better flow, ya know?)
Of course, this is taking at as a "legitimately married" au as I have taken you to posit here,, whenever I think about their future selves, personally, I've been thinking about it like "yeah Ramona's still married to Scott actually. This changes nothing for me" ahfduksfjdh

OC: Silke | Favorite Memory & Free Day in the City
@lemongogo I have some basic background information about Silke in my answered ask here: Silke Ask
So I'll focus on answering your questions in this one!
Favorite Memory
Silke's favorite memory would probably be tied between the day he first started his apprenticeship and the day he created his first masterwork. The former because it was the day his first and truest love unveiled itself before him. He was clumsy, unskilled in his gestures of devotion, but it loved him all the same, and reflected his passion back at him tenfold. The latter because it marked the moment he felt as though his own skill had improved to the point that his devotion could be judged true indeed. Although his master told him he could consider his apprenticeship completed with that work, Silke declined. He knew he could do better, and he wouldn't count himself a journeyman - let alone a master - until he did.
Free Day
Because I'm a menace who loves angst, I'm going to answer for after Silke received his curse/pact. With a free day in a given city, no obligations to his mercenary company, he'd find his way to the artisans' district. He'd spend hours slipping in and out of various workshops and storefronts, talking shop with a gleam in his eye usually missing. He'd carefully tuck away the knowledge he gleaned in a mental folder marked "One Day".
When asked, he'd happily share his own depth of knowledge in return, although demurring whenever he was pressed to show the specifics of some technique discussed, or join in with their creation. He'd hold his hands clasped behind him in a seemingly casual pose, although they would twitch and clench with the desire to join in.
When the workshops closed down for the evening, proprietors making their way homeward with thanks and companionable slaps to Silke's shoulder - or hip, in the case of some of the smaller races - Silke would make his way to Sorcerous Sundries, or a close equivalent. There he would pore over any books that made any mention of the Fey, their arts, and - most importantly - how to act against them and win.
He wouldn't buy any of the books, that being far too obvious a hint at his ultimate aims, but he would carefully memorize any information that seemed pertinent, emblazoning it into his mind with the strength of will he used to devote to his craft.

Today on "Another JeanMarco Soulmate AU absolutely no one asked for" I present to you -
Soulmate AU in which you stop seeing colors when your soulmate dies, the only exception being your soulmate. Now cue to Jean who just found Marco's, his best friend's, body. And you know, there's the shock of finding out Marco's dead. The pain and confusion and guilt. But there's also the revelation, because despite everything he can still see Marco like nothing took place at all- yes, half of his face is missing and his body is straight up lifeless, but Jean can still make out the color of his eye ; see that light shade of brown perfectly, remember all the times he has found himself looking at them while listening to Marco talk. He can still make out the colors of his uniform, see the same shade of black his hair has always had, practically see. Despite being dead, Marco was the only piece of color left in his life.
And there's denial for a moment because there's no way Marco was his soulmate. But that goes away fast, getting replaced by guilt. By the fact that he hasn't been there to save him, that Marco has to die all alone without anyone being there for him.
And that was worse than the simple fact that he could no longer see colors ; because Marco was there when Jean needed him, but he failed to do the same. And not only he lost his best friend that day, but his other half too.

OC-tober (late) Day 1: Fave OC
Here's some old art of my favorite little guy I never posted. You can really date it by my old url, his hairstyle, the artstyle, and the fact that its caption was originally supposed to be "RIP the internet, Artekai would've loved you 💔"

Back to an earlier point about Buffy Season 7 having way too many Potential Slayers, tbh, last night I learned that there was a Colleen and Caridad who also became full-fledged Slayers and survived the battle of the Hellmouth.
And in reading the "Chosen" novelization, I remembered the Potential "Shannon," and in Googling her, I guess she survived, as well.
I feel like when people are talking about the Potentials who survived season 7 as full Slayers, we always talk about Kennedy, Vi, Rona, and Chao-Ahn (but I think even Chao-Ahn is sometimes forgotten about), but I've never seen anyone mention Caridad, Colleen, or Shannon.
There are also some unnamed ones who made it, too:
