#long gone are my days of woobifying shadow and sanitizing sonadow down to aw cute hedgehogs and one of them is traumatized#they are RIVALS and shadow will never be that lovey dovey with sonic even if they have been dating for 30 years thats just not who he is#they can find happiness/contentment in each other like i imagined but that sprinkle of toxicity would never rlly go away#and again even if theyre perfectly happy existing like that. not a good environment for a kid!#i dont even imagine them getting married anymore like i still like my idea of the ''cat orphanage w a chao garden'' house that they live in#but they wouldnt be married. they'd be partners and sonic would live there. but he'd ''live there'' in the same way he lives with tails#in that. its a place to come back home to when needed but a lot of the time hes just elsewhere exploring and having adventures and stuff#and shadow would probably tag along on a lot of these adventures. but not all of them#also feeds into part of my idea for the future which has always been present which is just. sonic being romantically involved w a couple#other ppl (knuckles for example)#those relationships dont have a label theyre just friends and then sometimes theyll kiss or go on dates or something#he and shadow are partners. thats concrete. everything else is just fluid/undefined (also should clarify that this is in like a poly way lol#shadow is aware of these relationships and has no problem with them and sonic knows that)#anyways i didnt mean to ramble but i have been thinking about this recently#how i'd modify my older idea of sonadow in the future#thats the end. ps once again promoting the poly sonic agenda. if you look at him and you dont think hes poly. youre just wrong im sorry#(excluding aroace sonic enjoyers for obvious reasons lol)#serena.txt

i would like to know any novel gayemeralds thoughts about. knuckle <- predictable. (or mayhaps whoever non-shadow you’d like to talk about bc we’ve all heard enough about the corpse they keep dragging out for today)
thoughts on knuckles…… you know despite the fact he’s intimately connected to a million things in life i surprisingly don’t have a whole lot of thoughts on him. but I’ll give you my top three
1) i like to think he probably raised tails more than sonic did. classic sonic especially was not the type to be tied down, and i can’t see him being interested in basically raising a kid. he’d let tails tag along on adventures but i think tails spent a majority of his time hanging out with knuckles. knuckles was sort of annoyed at sonic just dropping tails off at his doorstep every few weeks but tails was eager to learn everything he could about Angel island and echidna culture and lore and knuckles was e static to find someone who would listen. knuckles had also just broken out of a 12ish year isolation period so the social contact with tails (after the mess with eggman and sonic, whom he still had very conflicting feelings on) was nicer than he would ever admit. knuckles and tails do hang out with each other outside of sonic, like in sonic heroes, so i like to imagine they really bonded during the classic era
2) to me the eventuality of the sonic franchise is that all the chaos energy eventually gets destroyed. so when that happens sonic chronicles has already taken place. echidnas have populated angel island and are taking proper care of it. the master emerald is gone. so i think knuckles, rouge, and amy eventually partner up to go treasure hunting for a few years, glob trotting the world in search of ancient history and artifacts. they spend a lot of their time trying to piece together ancient history (like the precursors, babylons, gaia temples, ancients, etc).
3) i kind of think knuckles should be in less games. he’s a very stationary character and it doesn’t make sense to involve him in adventures where the master emerald isn’t involved or the world isn’t completely ending. i think his duty vs desire conflict, wherein the master emerald keeps him stationary despite his own interest in travel/treasure hunting is a very important part of his character, and at the moment i wish they would explore that more if they keep having him in random games. that said i also kind of wish they would actually Use him more- like use the master emerald in games more, and by extension knuckles himself (to where it makes sense). that wasn’t coherent but like. i want knuckles around i just wish they would do a better job of why and maybe lean into how him being there is him being conflicted by his duty/desires instead of him just Being There.
bonus: i need a knuckles chaotix reboot right fucking now i have the perfect pitch for it (mighty and ray go missing and knuckles enlists the chaotix’s help to find them as their backstory)

The live action grunts thing got me thinking. You could sign the boys up for like, paintball to get Hanks bloodlust out instead of movies/games, but also I think Hank would get banned in the first fifteen minutes for bringing a knife
It would make a lot of sense for the boys to undergo some form of enrichment while they are in their Player's care. So while Doc tries to get a functioning gateway back to Nevada fixed up, which is going along swimmingly since the Player's world has much more advanced technology, the other three would need to be entertained while Doc works on the project. So, what a better form of exercise than taking the 3 mercenaries out on a safe adventure to let out some pent up stress? The local arcades, paintball tournaments, and laser tag arenas would keep all of them entertained for hours. Hilariously enough, each one would get involved in some shenanigans in one form or another that would probably wind up with you pulling your hair out or suffering public embarrassment. For example, the first place you stopped at--the arcade--had Deimos going from machine to machine and hacking each and every one of them. Causing a large spill of tickets to pool into the arcade room. The next thing you know, it was chaos of little children running and snatching up as many loose tickets from the spewing machines as possible. You could only watch on as Deimos laughed at the poor staff trying to get the machines under control and the parents trying to reign in their out of control children. Of course, you had to gather the group up and bail before you all got in trouble.
The other two areas were quickly sent into chaos from both Hank and Deimos not behaving themselves. Deimos took paintball too literally and started to shoot bystanders and property. Sticking his tongue out at the "feds" (staff members) in response. Hank was busy popping open the paintballs rather than shooting them, you still had to hurry over and grab his hands before he tried to put a handful of paintballs into his mouth. Of course, you rounded them up and all of you left. Apologizing to the staff for their behavior on the way out. The laser tag arena went smoothly for a while, until Hank started to get a bit too into the game. He would stalk his targets down from the shadows while Deimos went ham on 'shooting' the other competitors. Thankfully, Deimos's recklessness got him 'tagged out' most of the time, much to his frustration. But Hank was always in the game and you were always on his team, just to make sure that Hank wouldn't get too invested into the game. Unfortunately, the good times came to an end when Hank straight up started pursuing an opposing teammate with a literal knife. You chased him down and tackled him to the ground and forcibly made your team forfeit. This was when you figured that things were getting too risky to be out in public and you decided that was enough chaos and embarrassment for the day. So you all went home. Upon entering your home, Doc was in the middle of a coffee break. He wanted to ask how things went, but seeing you flop tiredly on the couch and let out a groan of agony was enough to make him look at his teammates and shake his head in disapproval. The only one that got to go out with you in public after that was Sanford. Both Hank and Deimos were grounded until further notice.

The Not Yet Grown Works [ 01 ]
hello and how are you?
Welcome to the Masterlist for NaNoWriMo! This will be the main post to wander around and over before and during and after November hits! With the month coming for our lives soon enough, we hope to have all of our prep come into light!
We will be going the Rebel Route this NaNoWriMo, once again! So that means multiple projects, more goals than just the traditional 50k Words, and probably other stuff that we'll blame being a Rebel on to get away with!
NaNoWriMo Site | Event Tag | Secret Third Thing
Tumblr media
The Goals
Traditional NaNoWriMo | 50,000 Words In the true spirit of November, we will be aiming to hit our beloved number of writing at least 50k Words within the confines of the month, but that is just one of many goals!
Hit The Mark | 5,000 Words a Day Stepping it up a little this year, we want to aim to hit at least 5k a day, and since we are pulling out multiple projects for this, it will be averaging around 1k Words for every project, every day.
All Month Long | 150,000 Words When everything is said and done, we ultimately want to hit 150k Words for the entire month! So hitting our 5k Daily mark and then going at it for the full 30 days! This will be the biggest goal for us, and it is a good strive for ultimate bragging.
Drowning The Drafts | 30,000 a Project Since we are going to be drafting out a lot of our projects - most of them being first drafts and a few of them being the start of a second - we want to add 30k words to each Project, give or take! That would be if we manage to split things super evenly, but this one is just nice to think about and not a hard definition of success for us!

The Extras
The Great Motivation Experiment | Post Here! We will be reinstating our claim on this wonderful Writing Experiment that was started and spread by the wonderful @did-i-do-this-write! You can find the participant list in the link and hey, if you wanna join in, then you can! We think this is a good back burner motivation for November, especially with just getting us through some words if we ever end up lacking or feeling lazy.
Old Concepts / Posts | Poll Here! We have / had a poll going that would be extra background content while we do our NaNoWriMo updates and writings! These are more concept words and posts that are coming from our Main Blog. They have been mostly abandoned over there, so we are hoping to bring and expand them over here!
NaNoWriMo Updates | Poll Here! We definitely will be aiming to get updates going! Probably will not be a daily occurrence like last year - unless the poll decides our fate - but we do wanna let you all come along on this journey! Depending on everything, we will try to not just disappear off the face of the planet completely!
Tumblr media
All in all, we hope this NaNoWriMo is just as magical and filled with words as everything else and all the other months. We also just want to say that our goals and works and set up is made to be for us and not at all should be a template. We have been doing a lot of writing these last years and hey, we tend to put a lot of effort into NaNo, bc we love to!
Happy Preptober and NaNoWriMo Everyone! ଘ(੭ˊ꒳ˋ)੭✧

i wrote a little wren x illinois thing because i suddenly felt like it :))
Campfire ( Wren x Illinois )

( reblogs / comments appreciated !! i like reading things ✨ )
( art tag list ! : @heartofalark @squips-ship @wisp-herr @voidselfshipp ( let me know if you'd like to be added / removed ! ) )
—————
The firewood crackled and popped as it burned, the light of it casting dramatic shadows on the surrounding trees. The stars shone overhead, dotting the cloudless sky in a brilliance that couldn’t possibly have been witnessed from the city where their journey had begun.
The pair had stopped for the night in a clearing that Illinois deemed safe. Firewood was gathered from the surrounding forest and a fire was struck while sleeping mats were rolled out. One person could keep watch while the other slept, was the agreement they arrived at; it would keep them safe and provide a sense of security, and it also managed to force both of them to get rest instead of one of them deciding to stay up all night.
Illinois lay on one of the mats, his back to the ground and his eyes on the sky. Wren lay just next to him, buns arms around his torso and buns gaze watching the fire as it danced. It was peaceful.
Wren had realized quickly that amidst the chaos and panic, there were moments of beauty and tranquility. The train ride away from the city had been fun. The view from the top of the small mountain they’d climbed was beautiful. The sight of the stars above them in that moment was something they’d been longing to see for so long, and finally had the chance to. Adventuring was a dangerous business … but it brought along with it the kind of treasures that couldn’t be held or physically beheld. Instead, the kind that could only be preserved in photographs, and even those could never do them justice.
Illinois draped an arms around Wren, his hand reaching around to the opposite side of buns waist. His thumb lightly brushed circles against their side in a soothing motion.
“ … You didn’t tell me that adventuring could be this peaceful.”
Illinois chuckled. Wren could feel it in his chest, from where their head rest against it. “I didn’t think you’d believe me, treasure.”
-
The beginning of their relationship had been rocky, to say the least. Illinois’ reputation preceded him, and his naturally suave persona did nothing for him once he arrived. Sparks of the negative sort had flown between them almost immediately, and those sparks had been enough to start a burning fight that lingered whenever they passed within ten feet of each other.
It had taken a lot to get them to see past each other’s outward impressions. Illinois was no playboy, no flirt — natural smoothness and the uncanny tendency for people to fall for him had created that easy assumption. He was a work-focused man, with no room in his heart for heartless romances, but so much love to give. Wren was no doormat, not rude nor snappish — quiet nature and the occasional sharp quip entered at the wrong times. Illinois, in his occasional visits to the museum Wren worked at as an archivist, had only short meetings with them that seemed to all end badly … until another employee handed them a second chance. That second chance changed the fire to a flame of another kind, which had only managed to keep being stoked to that day.
“Mm … I probably wouldn’t have. It’s hard to believe, with all of the other stories you tell me. Something perilous, some new location, some enemy encounter … You really need to get better at watching your back, Mr. Jones,” they teased. “You’ve been on enough adventures just like this.”
“I haven’t. Not really.”
Wren lifted buns head, a confused expression upon their face. They laughed, a confused little sound. “Of course you have. You go on adventures all the time.”
“Not like this.” Illinois shook his head. He turned away a little, not quite looking at Wren. “I’ve never had you with me.”
“ … You’ve had other companions.”
“That wasn’t the same. They … they weren’t anything real.” Illinois let out a slightly shaky breath. “ … Everyone who’s come with me on an adventure has either betrayed me or died. I didn’t want you to come with me, before, because … I don’t know what I’d do if either of those happened with you.”
Wren’s heart dropped a little. Their expression shifted from confusion to regret, to worry. Their brows furrowed. They propped themself up on their arms, a hand on the ground on either side of Illinois’ torso so that they could look at him properly. “Neither of those is going to happen to me, Illinois.” Shifting their position, they sat sidesaddle on the ground next to Illinois.
He wrapped his arms around their hips and pulled them closer, head falling back against the ground as he finally looked up at them. “That’s what I keep telling myself,” he said, a nervous (and disbelieving) laugh in his words, as though he were still trying to convince himself.
Wren reached over and gently brushed some of his wavy hair out of his face. Their fingers lightly trailed along the side of his face, then down to his jaw, then threaded back through his hair along the side of his head. As they spoke, they idly worked out some of the tangles that had worked their way into his dark mess of waves. “I’m not going to betray you. I love you much for that … not to mention that my morals are far too high to let me be bribed into it. I’m not going to die, either. I can handle myself … and I trust you. I wouldn’t have joined you if I didn’t.”
“ … but those others put their trust in me, too.”
Wren cupped his cheeks, gently urging him to look at them and pay attention. “But I’m not them. Those times aren’t now. I’m going to be okay, Illinois. I promise.”
It may have been the firelight reflecting off of his eyes in a different way, but Illinois’ eyes seemed to be shining. Before Wren had the chance to ask on it, he sat up and pulled Wren into an embrace. He tucked his head by their neck, mumbling against their collar. “How did I manage to end up with someone like you … “
“Mm, by coming off as a pompous jerk and getting on my nerves so quickly that we managed to form a rivalry?” Wren joked. Bun continued messing with Illinois’ hair, their voice softening. “By being an amazing person that I don’t think I deserve to have … “ Then, they added, teasing again, “the handsome looks help, too.” Illinois chuckled, and they could feel the puff of breath against their neck. Wren sighed, which not only expressed emotion but also helped to shake off the slight chill that had run up their back from Illinois’ laugh. “I mean it, my adventure. I call you my adventure for a reason.”
“And I call you my treasure for a similar one,” Illinois responded. He lifted his head to look at Wren, but not before pressing a little kiss to buns neck. “No treasure I’ve ever found has ever, or will ever, compare to you.”
Wren was suddenly very thankful for how hard the light of the campfire was to see by.
“ … That’s why I want to protect you.” Illinois’ voice softened. “You’re more precious to me than anything I’ve ever found.”
“I know, Illinois … “ Wren tucked a curl back behind his ear, then cupped his face again. “It’ll be okay. I promise you, we’ll both be okay. We’ll make it back to the city at the end of our adventure, all in one piece and all limbs attached. We’ll have some amazing stories, and I’ll have finally been able to see what your life is like when you run off on these trips.” They smiled and chuckled. “Hey, at least it isn’t the other way around. My job is dreadfully boring sometimes, especially compared to this … I just sit at a desk all day.”
Illinois seemed to relax. A little smile appeared upon his lips, and he tightened his hold around Wren, giving bun a reassuring squeeze. He buried his face against them again. Wren draped buns arms around his shoulders and rested their head against his. Even out in the wilderness, his hair managed to smell nice. Some strange combination of coconuts and mangoes with a little bit of firewood that Wren had never been able to understand but had always liked.
It was just one of those uncanny things about him, like how a whip crack sound effect somehow managed to play every time he winked. Wren was still baffled by that one. Illinois never seemed to notice it.
“I love you, so much … ” Illinois mumbled.
“I love you, too,” Wren whispered.
The quiet settled. Nothing but distant crickets and the far-off sound of what may have been a coyote, and the constant crackling of the fire. The quiet settled … until Illinois decided to break it.
Without any warning, he leaned back, carrying Wren with him. Bun let out a tiny yelp of surprise as they fell with him, buns arms pulling back. Illinois hit the ground with a quiet “oomph”, but the sound quickly faded into tiny laughter. He kept his arms around Wren, keeping bun close. Buns arms folded down, tucking between their chests with buns hands near his collarbone. Bun lay down buns head against his chest.
Illinois returned to looking at the sky. Wren returned to watching the fire. Both of them had smiles on their faces and renewed buzzing warmth in their chests.
An adventure it would surely be, with guaranteed treasure at the end.

Exponential Differentiation Series Masterpost
welcome welcome, we’re now [checks notes] 3 major installments and some extras into my big no-reapers au, so it’s probably high time i actually make a big masterpost for it, huh?
Features
Premise: 50,000 years ago, the Protheans were able to complete the Crucible, but by the time of firing, their population had been reduced to unsustainability. Their technology still remained for the later species, but the Reapers would never return. All’s well that ends well, right? Well, not quite. When a routine artifact retrieval on Eden Prime once more goes awry, new Special Tactics candidate Matteo Shepard is thrown headfirst into the fray, hunting down the mysterious team that attacked the colony - and stumbling across something so much bigger than they ever could have imagined.
Our Hero: Matteo Shepard, DMAB nonbinary (they/he pronouns). Native of Terra Nova, Matteo’s mother disappeared at a young age, leaving their family fractured and their trust in others on shaky legs. When their team’s investigation into the disappearing colony of Akuze leaves all but themselves and two others (that they know) dead and them needing intensive psychiatric care, they withdraw in on themselves, not wanting to get close enough to other people to be hurt again. Unfortunately for them, the universe disagrees with this plan.
The Crew: The Normandy crew has been supplemented with a whole host of other Shepards imported into a different canon OCs to flesh out the crew, as well as a couple familiar faces - Nihlus Kryik, mentoring Shepard for the Spectres, is a fixture on the team, and his rude shadow Saren Arterius is (very grudgingly, because the boss said he had to) coming along for the ride. Beyond the Normandy’s hull, the rest of the galaxy’s got a lot of new faces too, both friend and foe, ranging from Saren’s secretive family to the batarian Resistance and back again! Both canon characters and OCs join the party to bring the awfully empty galaxy to life...
Most Wanted: ... including the antagonists, of course. An entirely new team of mini-boss antagonists causes problems for Shepard left and right as Shepard explores the depths of Cerberus’s depravity, and an enemy often overlooked gets their own time to shine, with a subplot all their own, because I think they deserved better and had a lot of potential, and I’m the author so I decide the subplots, dammit. (You didn’t think I mentioned the batarian Resistance up there just for fun, did you?)
Love and All That: It's no Truck Shepard and the Space Kissing Adventure, of course, but we're not leaving romance off the table entirely! There's both established relationships and budding relationships for the discerning connoisseur. A couple of them are even majorly plot relevant, check the AO3 tags. Endgame for Matteo themselves is with Jack, but we have to get there first ;)

Bunny O’Malley
jackass with morals
so you say you've got a heart of gold under those layers of crabby sarcasm and natural attractive qualities, sure. but here's the thing--it's not gold, it's warmth, and that's why it's guarded so heavily. you care deeply, even though you might hate it the whole time. you're annoyed with the way things are, and find evil more inconvenient that anything else, mostly because at your core, you don't understand why inflicting pain is appealing. so yeah, you talk and walk like you're soured and spoiled, but really, it doesn't fool anyone.
the quiet observer
your soul is like a sponge, absorbing so much of the universe sometimes you feel like you're drowning. you wish you could make your heart a little stronger. but your gentleness is not weakness and neither is your sensitivity. you feel so much more than everyone else. it makes you kind even to those who don't deserve it. it makes you notice the hidden tears and the covered scars. you wonder who will save the ones who are suffering in silence, don't you know that includes you too?
Neoma
reluctant chosen one
this is usually a teenager flung about by forces outside of their control, but it can also be anyone picked for a higher calling to a cause they don't believe in. your mission isn't just to complete the task at hand--it's about coming to your own conclusions, and finding the system is corrupt from the inside out. it's about returning the favor, and embracing righteous anger as a form of self-liberation. sure, you'll save the world. you'll also fuck up the people who made you do it.
the protecting nurturer
you have the heart that belongs to a warrior's mother. you ache for your loved ones and you'll fight to preserve their smiles. you take care of the people around you. you want them to feel safe and warm. you do anything to protect those around you, even if it's from themselves. you have an eye for the details no one else realizes they need. you're the one that makes a house a home. you make sure it's safe because you know what it was like to be afraid of the places that should have been comforting.
Haemon
along for the ride
now this isn't so much a protagonist as it is someone with a lack of boundaries. but hey. who am i to judge. you're here because you just are. things happen to you, you don't happen to things. there's no "fateful day", there's simply "ah, shit. here we go.". and to be fair--it truly can be so enriching, and a lot others around you might've missed out on some of these life-altering adventures you got to be a part of. but consider--you can't be a side character to your own life. whether you feel it or not, you do matter. so stop the car, or drive yourself for a little. it'll be worth it.
the wonderlust heart
your soul longs for your adventure. sometimes you're filled with so many ambitions and dreams you think you might burst. you rush about in a frenzy, afraid to miss out on all the opportunities life has to offer. you see the world with all it's light and all its darkness and can't help but see something beautiful in every part. every star and every shadow. you say you're running towards your goals, but sometimes i think you're trying to escape the ugly things you couldn't paint over.
Nemesis
jaded _ilf
(you fill in the blank with m/d/whatever u want tbh) you're probably divorced. hell, you're probably sipping black coffee right now, missing that love of your life. your kids don't talk to you, you feel like you reek of wasted potential. you used to stand for something though...right? and you do keep fighting. that's commendable. i would suggest finding a young and impressionable tween to reluctantly mentor who will somehow bring back your zest for life back. or maybe a hobby if that kind of responsibility makes your back pain flare up.
the quiet observer
your soul is like a sponge, absorbing so much of the universe sometimes you feel like you're drowning. you wish you could make your heart a little stronger. but your gentleness is not weakness and neither is your sensitivity. you feel so much more than everyone else. it makes you kind even to those who don't deserve it. it makes you notice the hidden tears and the covered scars. you wonder who will save the ones who are suffering in silence, don't you know that includes you too?

Do tell the reader insert ideas! I might have a go at one for practice
*viBRAtes*
Okay, I'll try to keep the balls off the walls one for last. I have 4 total here.
A fluff/angst reader insert where the reader is aware of the events of the game and gets forced into the game isekai style. I know, how original. If it takes place in Persona 5, then Jose and Maruki are heavily involved. This one is my least developed out of all of them, but I want to make it so if some ideas begin to seem insane thats your chance to turn back.
2. A persona au for any of the games where the reader is pulled into the events of the game and are basically a Shadow whisperer. They never develop a persona, but they have the Shadows they've befriended to help them fight. Mostly fluff and adventure, and the reader tries to keep the whole 'Shadows are friends" thing under wraps. If in persona 4, the main Shadow cast grow humans to join the reader in the human world and chaos ensues. Honestly its mostly supposed to be cute and funny. I may actually write this one at somepoint but if you want to, do it! Because I probably wont actually get around to it.
3. A sweet and straightforward fic about the reader being a wildcard but ultimately failing their mission, and going off of the idea of Velvet Room attendants being failed Wild Cards who got their memories wiped to help other wild cards.
4. Okay so this one is the balls off the walls one thats been rattling around in my brain. Its kind of embarrassing honestly but I'm going to share anyway because the bitch doesnt even pay rent.
Its a fic where the reader walks right into the Persona universe on accident and gets involved with the Shadow Operatives by pure chance, eventually awakening to a persona. But the persona is fucking Nyx Avatar which sends the entire group into a panicked frenzy for obvious reasons.
However through basic communication, reader pieces together that this isnt the actual avatar from the events of the game and is from Readers dimension, but its not like reader can really just tell them that.
The ops decide to go ahead and try to either a. very possibly kind of illegally experiment on reader to try to figure out how its even possible for their persona to be NA (too lazy to keep typing out the name) and or squeeze info out of one or both of them. Upon receiving the news, reader runs for it with a little bit of inside help and is now running from not only the Ops, but the constant Shadow attacks from Shadows attracted to such a powerful persona and on top of it all, a persona that isnt very good at following instructions and takes a lot of stamina to deal with.
From there, take it in any direction you want. I would probably make it a 10-15 chapter fic with decently sized chapters about all of the above as well as Reader and their universes Ryoji/Pharos/NA learning to get along and cooperate over time. Happy ending (unless you want a bad ending) and take it in any way you want.
Yet again, if anyone wants these ideas, take them. They are yours. Just tag me so I can read them. Honestly I like option 4 best but its the one I've thought about the most and by far the most ambitious out of all of them plot wise. I also just want to write sibling like bickering between Ryoji and Reader in the beginning because it would be funny. Also heavy emphasis on how difficult of a persona NA is and how terrible he is at following instructions. Like sometimes he just literally says "no" and does his own thing. Anyway hope I didnt just make my entire following hate me and hopefully didnt just embarrass my self too badly.

Lizzie meets Martyn
Dog hadn’t had any meaningful expectations when it came to the last few days before the end of the world, but he never could have expected what he got.
Form shapes nature. There are certain behaviors that are typical of small dogs simply because it is encoded into their genes. Dog’s Master, Lord Martyn, formerly known as Death, Destroyer of Worlds, hadn’t been doing much in the way of world-level destruction. Since Dog was no longer a raging Hellhound, he was given a good deal of free time to spend bothering cats and searching for crumbs. Upon meeting Pearl’s dog, Tilly, he had tried to reduce her to ash by way of the usual smoldering glare, but when that didn’t work, the pair hit it off and became close friends. Tilly was happy to show him the most interesting parts of Tadfield, tagging along with Them in all their adventures.
Form shapes nature, and Dog’s nature was changing.
On Dog’s third day in Tadfield, he and Martyn went to investigate Critter Cottage on a mission delegated by Them. Martyn was surprised to find that on the lawn was a woman with pink hair and space buns who was smashing flower pots in her frustration.
“‘Scuse me,” Martyn said.
He tilted his head in a way that implied a question without asking.
“It’s dumb,” she said. “I just… I lost my book. It’s been in my family for over three hundred years, and I lost it.”
“I could help you look,” he offered. “I’m Martyn Littlewood. I live on Sahara St.”
“Lizzie. Lizzie Shadow. I’m just visiting. Are you from around here?”
“This is my world, from the fields to the forests and from the quarry to the pond,” Martyn said, pointing to their respective locations.
“So you know the area really well?”
“Better than anybody, I reckon.”
“Have you seen two men in a black car?”
Martyn’s eyes lit up. “Book thieves!” He put on a noir detective voice. “I’ll take the case.”
“They didn’t steal it! Or, at least, they didn’t mean to. But if you haven’t seen them, they may have left.”
“Could be,” Martyn said. “I wrote a book once. It had cowboys and pirates and dragons, so it was probably a whole lot better than any book you’ve lost.” He declined to mention the long, spiraling description of a boy falling endlessly through blank space that he did not remember writing.
Lizzie laughed. She decided that she liked Martyn. If she had been in full control of her mind at the time, she may have realized that any thoughts about him that tried to go beyond her superficial first impressions simply slipped from her mind. No one was in full control of their mind around Martyn. “Do you want some lemonade?” she offered.
Martyn, like every other child from the town, had been raised by overly cautious parents who repeated the words “Stranger Danger” at every opportunity. Martyn, however, was not in the habit of being afraid.
“Sure,” he said. “We can battle the witch in the cottage to get it.”
Lizzie hesitated. “That’s my cottage. But I’m not a witch. I’m an occultist.”
“Oh,” Martyn said. “That’s alright, then.”
But Dog wouldn’t enter the cottage.
There had been a horseshoe above the door of Critter Cottage for hundreds of years. Previous residents during a large plague thought it would help keep them safe. They were, of course, wrong, but horseshoes above doorways do have strength in blocking Hellish forces such as reformed Hellhounds.
However, Dog could not ignore the call of Lord Martyn, who commanded him to enter. None of them noticed the horseshoe cooling as a little bit of Hell burned away.
Martyn decided that he liked Lizzie.
She was nice to him, for a start. She was old in the eyes of an eleven-year-old, but she wasn’t really old, not like his parents or R.P. Tyler. She was like a high schooler or someone cool like that. Plus, she knew all sorts of interesting things.
Turns out that an occultist wasn’t an eye doctor, contrary to Martyn’s first thought. Lizzie was sort of like a witch; she saw people’s auras and could detect ley lines and had a box of notes in old-timey language that Martyn struggled to interpret. She was not just cool; more importantly, she was interesting.
She hadn’t been able to see Martyn’s aura, though. And that seemed to worry her.
It was only when Martyn wondered aloud that his schooling hadn’t taught him nearly as much as Lizzie had that things became really interesting.
“School is an oppressive tool of the state,” Lizzie said, “so they won’t teach you about things that matter, like nuclear power stations, which we have to get rid of.”
This piqued Martyn’s interest. He liked knowing things more than he liked learning, and it certainly felt like his classes in school didn’t matter. Additionally, he had visited a nuclear power station once, and it had been far less interesting than he thought it would be, severely lacking in any bubbling vats or unnaturally bright colors. From that moment through the end of the conversation, he latched onto every word.
Lizzie believed in things. She believed in saving turtles and whales and all sorts of exotic species Martyn had never heard of. She believed in whole grain breads and recycled paper and local businesses and getting colonizers out of colonized areas. She believed that oil companies were destroying the environment, that meat packaging companies were destroying the environment, that steel companies were destroying the environment, and that fashion companies were, you guessed it, also destroying the environment. She did not believe in world leaders or large governments, and she hated any form of military. She believed in power to the people; more specifically, she believed in power to the youth. She was one of those people who is an odd cross between a pessimist and an optimist, but she had the extra layer of being very aware that the end of the world was mere days away, though she didn’t share this with Martyn.
Having been given limited internet access, Martyn was not aware of the things she spoke about. He had vaguely heard of environmental issues, but in truth, he had not recognized enough of the words used in these discussions to concern himself with them. South American rainforests were a closed book to Martyn, and it wasn’t even made of recycled paper.
Lizzie believed in things in a very intense way. She didn’t have beliefs so much as she had one enormous, amorphous belief in a great many areas that she had melded into one. On any scale of mountain moving, she could move at least half an Alp. However, Martyn could move anywhere between two and fifteen thousand Everests.
Lizzie, unaware of this, thought nothing of letting Martyn borrow a few issues of the Hermiton Herald, a magazine she had never read and only subscribed to in support of a friend who was one of its editors. He had been drawn to the interesting covers depicting deep-sea monsters and sunken continents and UFOs and the eye-catching headlines blaming everything on the government. And so, he left Critter Cottage with an armful of conspiracy magazines and two pockets of organic candies.
It may have helped the situation if Lizzie had realized exactly why she couldn’t see Martyn’s aura. It was the same reason why people in Times Square can’t see America.

Tumblr media
Again, Spite is such a strong motivator...
Tumblr media
Belle first appeared in Sonic the Hedgehog (IDW) #33. We first see her hiding in the shadows as Sonic and Tails look at one of Robotnik’s abandoned bases. She makes her first visible appearance in the next issue, being knocked on the head by a bolt Sonic kicked. Sonic, thinking Badnik, goes for the attack but she avoids all of Sonic’s swings. She even lands a kick (because Sonic pulled on her tail). Luckily Tails stopped it in time.
Tumblr media
She's a robot made of Hand-carved Oak Hardwood with likely a little bit of circuitry within her but doesn’t want to reveal who her creator is. When the Badniks attack, she proves her good guy status by saving Tails from being captured. In the next issue, she saves Tails and uses her Real Kung Fu Kicking Action to launch herself towards Tails to tackle him out of the gravity beam.
Tumblr media
With her hiding place filled with Badniks and Tails convincing, Sonic allows her to tag along to White Park. And she immediately regrets it because Tails plane is a one seater and the only way to ride along is on the wing. When they meet up with Amy about freeing the Chao, Belle proves her use by her hand being filled with lots of tools. Handy for breaking locks.
Tumblr media
Sadly, as Sonic went to handle other troubles, the machines the crook had rises up. So Belle has to pick the lock while Gemel covers. But as soon as she frees the chao, she gets trampled by them because Cheese convinced them all to help. After that, another comic exclusive character (Starline) causes trouble. He goes after Tails and Belle, but using her Kung Fu Kicking Action feature kicks him into the avalanche.
Tumblr media
Side Note: I ship them now. Especially because by the end of Issue 36 he offers her to stay at his place to help him out with stuff. The two even got Omega back in working order. But that’s when Tails asks her again about who built her because only a Robotnik creation could read the blueprints. She still refuses to answer, but we all can probably know the deal here.
Tumblr media
In Issue 37, Sonic and Tails take Belle to the Restoration Base. They hope Belle can be helpful to them since she’s a great tinkerer. She makes friends with the Mechanic she is assigned to, but the others find her freaky. She wants to prove useful but a tail pulled by a passing vehicle causes her to kick a box and cause a boat to fall.
Tumblr media
Sadly that causes her to make a bad impression but Tangle is there to try to cheer her up. And by cheering up, she means take Belle on an adventure to find out about a freaky storm. Sadly Jewel takes her off the assignment. But because “he” might be at that Tower, Belle gives Tangle an idea about how to get there. Restore a hover cart and drive to that Tower. And because Tangle wants excitement, she doesn’t ask why Belle wants to go.
Tumblr media
At the Tower, Belle and Tangle do their best to sneak around. But Belle slips and is in front of a group of robots. To her and Tangle’s surprise, they don’t pay attention to her. That’s when Belle’s fears are realized: she’s a badnik. She doesn’t know how or why but she thinks Robotnik is the only one who has the answers. Luckily for Team Sonic, they also capture Orbot and Cubot while redirecting Badniks away from them.
Tumblr media
Belle tries to stop Tangle from jumping in without seeing if this portal thing would scramble her molecules, but Tangle convinces her to let her help. But while she does, she receives a call from Robotnik and finds out the truth: he did built her when he thought he was called Mr. Tinker. She breaks down crying because the creator she knew is for all intended purposes dead.
Tumblr media
After the day is saved, Belle reveals her backstory. She was built by Mr. Tinker but when the truth about him being Eggman was revealed she was forced to leave the village. She was hoping to find him to try to figure this out, and sadly she did. Her next appearance will be in #42 where Starline takes interest in her. He manages to sneak into the Restoration Base as the Zeti attack. And to save someone, Belle willingly goes with him.
Tumblr media
In Issue 44, Starline tinkers with the Tinkerer to find out how she works. He tells her how her Mr. Tinker became Robotnik once more because he is trying to find out how Eggman created a machine with actual emotions. Luckily for her the Chaotix arrived to save her. Sadly not soon enough as he got what he wanted and Belle was left broken (emotionally). Issue 45 has Belle joining Tangle, Jewel and Amy on a camping trip.
Tumblr media
Everyone seems distracted, so Amy decides to use Tarot Cards to see the future. When Amy does it for Belle, she looks horrified. Later, when everyone is asleep, she goes for a walk when she finds something: a badnik that knocks her out. And while this issue leaves you wondering if she accidentally caused a fire with her lighter, the next issue proves otherwise.
Tumblr media
While she is metal inside, fire is still bad for her but luckily that Badnik turns out to be a good guy. Tangle finds them and the two find a boy who got lost during the forest fire. With riding the Badnik and her Kung Fu Kicking Action feature, they jump a gorge to get to him. Belle calms the kdi down by revealing her nose can honk. She also threatens Tangle if she reveals this to anyone else.
Tumblr media
They survive going over the edge of a cliff and getting back to the others. With the Motobug’s help, Belle saves people caught in the water getting loose and after all that is over gets a fixed hand by Tails. And Issue 49 has Tails using her new Motobug friend (who should be called Jimmy) to create a reprogramming field to stop other Badniks from fighting. Sadly for them, they’re not the only ones who think a wide spread reprogramming field is a good idea.
Tumblr media
Starline activates a field that allows him to control all Badniks. And to Sonic and Tails surprise that includes Belle. With Sonic not wanting to hurt her, she proves to be a much more difficult opponent than before. But Tails stopped her with a Wireless Signal Jammer, the only one he had. Belle wants to find the source of this and stop it for good. And using her friendly Badnik, they follow him to where the others are going. When they’re at the location, she doesn’t want the Motobug to be among them.
Tumblr media
When she was done shutting him down, she found a note left by Mr. Tinker. He apologizes for what he is going to become and tells Belle that he loves her. And the three head off to stop this problem. And by June 18, 2022, I do not have my hands on the 50th Sonic Issue. So what does Belle bring to the table? (EDIT: I have it now, but for spoilers, I will not reveal it.))
Tumblr media
She has her Kung Fu Kicking Action Feature that if you pull her tail, she delivers a karate kick that can hurt Sonic and break wood. She also has tools on her hands which allows her to be able to tinker with things. But if desperate she has a knife for stabbing. And being able to dodge Sonic’s attacks means she can scale to a casual Sonic speed. Now why am I researching her?
Tumblr media
Because online, there’s a person who claims Belle is a ripoff of his character. The problem is he is presenting the most flimsy excuse there is. Sadly, the only information available for his character is locked behind paywalls for two comics and a game. There’s only one gameplay video of the game and it doesn’t appear to have any story. So for me to actually research the kid, I would need to pay for it.
Tumblr media
You know how people say “there’s no such thing as bad publicity?” This is an example of them being wrong. Because despite his attempts, I’m doing more Belle stuff. I even made pixels of her despite commissioning someone to do that for me because I wanted to spite the guy. And I don’t participate in Spite Purchases. So if you guys want me to give this guy a serious look over, I expect compensation.
And I seriously doubt anyone actually wants that.

not to act like silver on anon but. How do u think sonic would be. 15 years in the future? like one of those future aus—how do u imagine the sonic characters to be?
for my favorite character, amy, i see her being a teacher/mentor! she’s a great leader and leaves huge impacts on ppl (looking at u silver and shadow). that’s my reasoning at least ^^
hm. okay so i do have a future au (my chaos champion timeline) but. sonic is dead by 18 in that future. and that kind of fucks everyone up for a while.
if sonic was alive, i think he wouldn’t be too much different from now. i kind of imagine him still going solo, but he’d probably end up accidentally acquiring a side kick/mentorship. like next generation heroes would tag along and Sonic’s like oh. okay ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ also he would be so op by that point i sort of imagine him as like. one punch man and he'd accidentally get roped into mentoring his own genos
for the chaos champion timeline, the character's futures go like this...
sonic: dead. rip.
tails: REALLY fucked up by sonic's death for a bit. sort of closes himself off from his friends until eggman finally dies. goes on a multi-year long treasure hunting trip with knuckles and amy and eventually settles into his title as a prodigy, studying the mechanics and theories of time travel (and incidentally, becoming the inspiration for silver to time travel) and also developing new technologies. lives a SUPER long time.
amy: probably ends up opening a baking shop with vanilla for a bit before going treasure hunting with knuckles and rouge. the three of them explore the echidna culture left behind across the world and also just want to have some fun adventures.
knuckles: sonic chronicles occurs, and the master emerald (and all chaos emeralds/chaos energy) is destroyed by the end of the chaos champion timeline, so knuckles is free to explore and roam the world as much as he wants. after he sets up a successful echidna colony on angle island (which no longer floats, instead settled on top of the ocean) with shade, he cons rouge into searching for more information on his clan's history, since shade and her people forgot a large chunk due to ix's refusal to acknowledge their messier history. amy joins in after becoming restless with her bakery. they all basically become archeologists.
rouge: joins knuckles and amy on globetrotting adventures. she's learned to trust people a LOT more than where she is now, though she can still be a bit stingy. amy, knuckles, and her grow to be really close friends. rouge doesn't work with g.u.n. anymore and often steals from them just for fun.
the chaotix: not too much different. the agency sticks around for a LONG time. cream eventually joins in, and rounds out their operation with her charm and technical prowess. they get a bazillion offers every year for really big adventures (helping the president, helping soleanna, etc) but always decline. they just want to help the little guy ;)
cream: becomes inspired by tails and sonic and wants to be a real hero. spends some time being tails's apprentice until she grows a bit restless. she joins the chaotix by the time she's a preteen and helps them with hacking. as a cute little girl, she's also super fun to use for disguises. gemerl is often roped into their shenanigans, but spends most of his time with vanilla running a bakery.
omega: probably dead by the time fifteen years roll around. omega hates eggman with a passion, and wants to destroy all of his robots. over time, omega also becomes aware of the fact that there's an animal powering his battery. the flickie gave him the ability to turn away from eggman, so enthralled in hate and malice after being turned into a battery, that omega absorbed part of its rage. after eggman dies and all of his robots have been taken care of, omega eventually deactivates himself to free the flickie inside of him.
shadow: RETIRED. there's not too many world threatening events going on, so he spends most of his days wandering around the world, enjoying the world maria always wanted to visit, and finally coming to terms with the beauty humanity has to offer. occasionally helps out the chaotix, mostly because he can't say no to cream.
eggman: dies not very long after sonic. there's no point in trying to conquer the world when the person who's pushed him to do better, think bigger, go farther, isn't around anymore. it's boring without him. he stages one last grand world takeover which tails, amy, and knuckles defeat as a sort of last hurrah. eggman is taken into custody and executed by g.u.n. is he really gone for good? well, that's another story
metal sonic: was put into stasis before sonic and eggman died, and is accidentally released about three years too late. metal sonic attempts to conquer the world, trying to get sonic to show his face, but when sonic proves to be gone for good, metal sonic becomes so distraught he tries to destroy the world. tails, amy, and knuckles manage to take him down, and metal eventually sacrifices himself to save their lives, annoyed that he only won against sonic by default, and concluded that having a more spectacular end than sonic was the only way for him to win.
blaze: becomes queen of her dimension. tails and her eventually develop a way to stabilize inter-dimensional travel between them, and are working on ways to dive deeper into the multi-verse.
silver: turns out, saving the world and creating a stabilized future erased him from existence. time travel is a bit wonky, however, so silver lives! he enjoys the rest of his days in the future, catching up on all the history he's missed, and taking as many classes as he can. he becomes a physicist.
eggman nega: when it's revealed that sonic destroys the world, and not eggman, nega gives up on being evil and becomes a professor at the university of spagonia. he tries to befriend silver to varying degrees of success.

HI
I have a request 🤤
LL M3 with an MC who's super good with kids? Like they don't really do anything just every single child they come across is obsessed with them and always wants to play with them and see them😭.
And MC just loves all the attention and favoritism they receive💀.
Thanks!
MC just has that 'mild chaos' energy that children are drawn to
GN!reader, children sure are like that
Felix Escellun
Felix brings you to the bookshop one day. He needs more tomes y'know? And when he goes out on these errands he likes to bring you along to get you a little something. But anyways, bookshop. You tag along today.
While Felix is in discussion with the shopkeep, you start wandering through the shelves to find something interesting.
*tug tug tug*
You look over to see a smol child tugging on the hem of your shirt. What's with that face, little buddy?
oh
Oh you're getting dragged towards the back of the store. This is fine.
The child leads you into a gaggle of other children who are all in the back of the story. A glance around the shelves shows a lot of brightly-colored titles in big font. Who'd have thought a magical bookstore would have a children's section?
All the kids are clamoring and asking you to read to them. You laugh and agree, letting them find a story. You sit down at a chair. One of the hands you the book while another crawls into your lap. Two are clinging to the back of your chair. Another sits by your feet.
By the time Felix finally comes over you're just covered in children. There's a stack of books beside you. He tries to pull you away but You Can't You Have To Read To The Children. And you clearly take pride in it too, if your too-innocent smile means anything.
And Felix is just resigned because this happens Every Single Time that you guys go out.
I think Felix is awkward around children so when you're being mobbed he's just over there like
🧍
I think kids ask to see your magic tricks!!
Anisa Anka
She brings you along on her patrol routes sometimes. It's a good way to show you stuff around town, not to mention getting the nearby people familiar with you. That way if Anisa is ever not around, you'll have some friendly faces to help you out should you need it.
Well now that you're out and about - recognizable, I mean - you've got a little fanclub. Children flock around you, holding out your pets to say hello or tugging on your clothes to ask questions about nothing or Demanding That You Have To Hear About This Funny Bird Right Now Or Else The World Will Literally Implode
Considering Anisa has the reputation of being Astraea's Hero - the one who killed the Lord of Shadows - I think she gets a lot of attention from the kids too. But there's no doubt that they're all picking you.
You regale the kids with adventures you had in the first Last Legacy made up. Anisa loves getting to hear them too, though with some of the sillier ones she's trying not to giggle.
She thinks it's adorable how much you light up around the kids and eagerly go along with their games. But she wouldn't be lying if she wasn't a teeny tiny bit jealous when you get dragged away to play in the town square and she has to do the rest of her patrol route alone. But when you get back and you're all happy and buzzing and glowing, she's genuinely happy you had so much fun. And if you invite her to come next time??
Yes she's incredibly excited.
The kids probably share their snacks with you. You set aside some to bring home to Anisa.
I think she's a little awkward around kids but usually she just plays the part of Hero so the kids don't really notice it.
Sage Lesath
I think Sage is also pretty popular with kids because he's funny and has cat ears and is more than willing to break the rules for some fun and, let's be honest here, he probably sneaks the older teenagers alcohol if they ask for it
But anyways!
He's used to kids coming over and trying to touch his ears/tails or climb on him since he's so tol or asking to see his sword because it looks cool.
So when a bunch of kids come over and they waddle up to you?? He's really taken off guard.
He does think it's cute though. Especially with how happy you look about it. You ask the kids to tell you stories and they fucking deliver!! They're excited to have a chance to talk, and you're excited to listen.
Sage like,, like you guys are out when the kids come over so when you sit down on a bench or something Sage immediately puts his head in your lap because He Demands Affection so you're just over here petting him while hanging out with all these hyper children.
He'd play with the kids too a bit but when it's clear they're mostly here for you, I think he just takes a nap.
If you guys are like,, going somewhere and kids come up to you he might just pick you up and be like 'sorry squirt we gotta go' and then just leave. But then the kids just follow you around like a bunch of baby ducks as you continue vibing with them.
Imagine how fucking funny it would be to see this 6'2 badass mercenary carrying his enthusiastic partner over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes while twenty-something kids are just trotting along behind you guys.

So y'all remember this animatic? Yeah?
I wrote a thing based off of it.
I'm not entirely sure how I fee about it, but y'all have shown how much you like my crack in the past, even if I wasn't sure about that either, so...
Here's Legend getting mistaken for a mom and pulling his brothers into a terrible impromptu acting adventure.
There are many things you do not do in Castletown.
One of those things, apparently, was taking Twilight with you, and next time he had a chance Legend was seriously considering muzzling their wolfish friend, in his shadow form or not.
He wasn’t the only one with that thought either apparently, although likely the only one who was thinking it out annoyance rather than utter and complete terror. Honestly, Twi needed to cut that protective streak of his in half, or he was going to be regretting it even more than he was going to regret this!
They’d all met thieves before, on the road, in villages, even here in Castle Town, and unfortunately Warriors’ central city was particularly full of them. The captain had explained it ages ago, something about the war displacing people and stirring up unrest with the refugees. It wasn't uncommon that someone got tired of relying on the crown for help, which, the captain had admitted sorrowfully, was rather slow in coming, despite all of Artemis’s efforts, to provide any sort of relief to the starving and displaced victims of the war. Legend had winced at that. Poor blokes, it had been similar in his own Hyrule when those trapped in the dark world emerged again, and even back in their Hylian forms, many of them had struggled to readjust to a world that had moved on in their absence.
It was little wonder than that those in the captain’s time faced the same struggle, especially after a bloody time war, but even so, it bothered him to no end that their group specifically had been the one that the idiot of a man chose to target. Honestly! They were all carrying swords for pities sakes! How did the sod even think he was going to catch a bunch of warriors unawares to steal from them?
Maybe it was because they were split.
It only made sense, after being dropped in the captain’s time, that they restock supplies. Both for practicality and to avoid suspicion, they’d divided the group into two to better run their errands, Time taking those less accustomed to bustling cities with him to gather food and potions, and Warriors leading the rest of them, those who could stand crowds at least a little bit better, to visit the blacksmith, fletcher, and tailor shops.
True to form, the captain strutted ahead with his scarf waving behind him, Wind tagging along beside him and chattering excitedly about something or other at the soldier. He and Four, however, had chosen to trail after, not for any particular reason other than both being extremely tired and maybe just a bit emotional.
In his own case, he hadn’t slept in a good sixty-three hours or so, and combining that with the stress of wandering around in an unknown place, he was a little more sensitive than usual and a bit put out as a result. Similarly, Four was fighting off his usual headache from their sudden switch, and ever since they’d pulled themselves out of the alleyway Hylia dumped them in, the shortest hero had worn his hood pulled over his eyes, mumbling softly under his breath in a way that was, unfortunately, unnerving Legend further and making him want, very much, to beg the other to stop.
That wasn’t an option of course, so he did something he hated almost as much as the saunter Warriors was using to get down the road.
He made small talk.
It helped, surprisingly, and while the four of them had run their errands, he chattered amiably with the smithy, who’d been willing to talk as long as he didn’t have to think too much on things. Legend could agree with that, and the two had spent the last half hour discussing if Four’s tunic really was red, green, blue and violet, as the smithy claimed, or red, green, blue and purple as Legend thought it was.
“It’s violet.” Four huffed, pushing the last bundle of arrows into his pack as they departed from the smithy’s shop and made their way back to the fountain at the center of town, where they'd agreed to meet with Time and the others.
“But it’s not!” He insisted, shifting the bundle of fabric in his arms and meeting the smithy’s gaze. “Violet is softer, duskier, a bit closer to grey or blue. That’s purple, plain as day!”
Warriors and Wind, for once, didn’t say anything, only exchanging grins every so often that the other two ignored.
Talking with Four was surprisingly pleasant, and ridiculously easy in comparison to talking with the others. For one thing, neither had to look too very far up or down to see the other, and as they’d found since their first dinner at the ranch, it was easy to say a lot with just a look. Subtle communication also went a long way further with the smithy than with anyone else, and it was a relief not to have to explain everything for once. Additionally, Four also liked reading, and unlike with most of their other brothers, they could actually have intelligent conversations with each other.
Not that that’s what they were doing when they’d trailed after the other two towards the fountain, but when they heard the snarl and resulting scream, the look the two heroes shared had carried as many words as a full two-hour lecture, while all at once conveying a single thought.
Oh boy, what did Twilight do this time?
What Twilight had done, he found out later, was spring a thief who had attempted to snatch the Sheikah Slate from Wild, who’d been a bit busy trying to calm his anxiety to really notice that one of the humans pressing close all around him was actually trying to steal it. That, naturally, was all well and good. The problem was the way Twilight had chosen to handle it and Legend swore there were days that Twilight forgot what form he was in; rather than pushing the thief away or grabbing ahold of them and confronting them, the gracious rancher had chosen to fling his entire body weight at the man and bite his arm.
Of course, that was only what Legend found out later, what he saw when the four of them managed to peek through the crowd, was Twilight standing there in full sight of the entire market with blood on his teeth and a man screaming in pain and terror at his feet.
Bravo, Rancher, bravo.
“Oof.” Wind winced. “That’s not good.”
“Shit.” Warriors swore, glancing around nervously and ripping his scarf off to hide in his pack.
Realization sprung on the vet like Twilight had the poor thief; Warriors was the hero here. If anyone noticed him, or any of the knightlier looking ones, they’d probably try and have them arrest Twilight. That was all well and good of course, as it would make a reasonable excuse to haul the rancher out of the way, but they’d be expected to call for help from some soldiers, and while they’d been planning on meeting with the queen while they were here, having Twilight presented to her as a feral, potentially insane, and definitely dangerous criminal was not the approach they were aiming for.
They needed a distraction, fast.
So, like the reasonable and totally mentally secure Hylian that he was, Legend shouted the first thing that came to his mind. “Violet!”
His three companions stared at him, and had he been capable, he would have stared at himself, but a desperate glance Fours way had the other drawing back, nodding slowly as Legend shouted again. “Violet? Honey?”
Warriors looked at him like he’d lost his head, gripping Wind’s shoulder firmly as if worried he’d have to pull the kid back from the apparently mad veteran.
Thank Din for teaching him acting years ago, even if it was all stage performing, but he was counting on it to get him, and Twilight, out of their respective messes, even if that meant building his higher before he could escape. At any rate, he’d caught the attention of a few people with his panicked shout. Turning to the nearest Hylian that wasn’t one of his group, he gently tapped the woman’s shoulder, letting his panic and everything in general spill over into his face and voice as the woman met his gaze with a startled look.
“Ma’am, I’m looking for-” Oh Four was going to hate this. “-My child, Violet. Have you seen a blonde Hylian child, so tall?” He lowered his hand to approximately where Four’s head would reach. “I’ve been looking everywhere!” He forced a fake sob into his voice, glancing from the woman to the surrounding crowd, and Warriors and Wind in its midst.
Wind was stifling a laugh behind his hand while Warriors stared in utter shock.
“Oh my,” The woman touched her cheek, clucking lightly and patting Legend’s hand in a consoling manner. “You poor dear! I haven’t seen a thing but just give me one moment.” The burly housewife turned, still patting Legend’s hand gently as she murmured something to the women behind her, before turning back to Legend with a sorry expression. “None of my friends have seen your little one, dear. But-” The woman turned and, with all the force and volume of a cow, hollered at the top of her lungs to the crowd as a whole. “Hello? Yes, this woman is looking for her daughter!”
Woman?!?!?!
“Her name is Violet! She’s-” The woman blinked, looking to Legend with a worried look as several other market goers turned to stare, many of them women with looks of pity and understanding that was making him wish he’d stayed silent. Fortunately, his ruse had startled them out of staring at the sight of a mauled thief as worry for a poor young mother and her lost daughter took its place. “She’s how old?”
Legend fought the protest of female pronouns, both on Four’s part and his own, but only in his head. Outwardly however, he covered his face with the hand not being smashed by the farm-wife's own. “She’s four.” Shoot him, he was saying whatever came to mind because he was panicked, alright?
A snort could be heard behind him, earning disapproving looks from the crowd that soon shifted to pity as Wind too joined the act, turning his snort into pitiful sniffling as he clung to Warriors’ hand, looking for all the world like a child who’d been to the market too long and wanted to go home, but was also panicking at the loss of their sibling. “Have you all seen my sister?” The sailor blubbered softly, actual tears spilling down his face as he pouted, expression making his act so believable that no one even questioned his height. As if to make the act more convincing, Warriors wrapped an arm around the kid’s shoulder, his own face stiffening into something that could either be gas or worry, Legend was a bit on the fence.
“What’s going on here?” Legend wished that was Time stalking towards them in full armor, but it wasn’t, it was a Hylian Soldier, staring at the crowd with a grim frown on his face as he turned to Legend, standing in its center.
Oh well, those who crack under a tough audience get tomatoes to the face; he just hoped Wars would keep playing along. “My daughter,” He sobbed into his hand, pulling the other free from the housewife to properly cover his face. “She- My baby- I can’t find her anywhere, Sir!” Later, Warriors would begrudgingly admit that the look Legend shot the soldier was enough to break any heart as the vet stepped forwards, grabbing hold of the man’s arm with all the desperation of a worried mother. “Please tell me, have you seen a little girl? She’s in her favorite dress, the colors of the goddesses, red, green and blue?” He motioned down at his own tunic, skirt, whatever one would call it. “There’s a violet corner too, I made it for her myself- oh my poor baby! I can’t seem to find her anywhere!”
The grizzled soldier quickly melted under the power of tearful violet eyes, and he too gently patted Legend’s hands as if he thought it would do any good. “I’ll have my men look for her right away, ma’am. How old would you say she is?
“She’s four.” He reaffirmed. Might as well stick to his original story.
“So tall?” The farm-wife motioned, hands lowering a bit more than Legend’s had, but the woman was trying to help, so he couldn’t really be upset with her for getting it wrong. At this point though, he was a bit worried about where Four actually was, because he’d expected the shorter hero to make an appearance sooner rather than later so the act could end.
“Right.” The man nodded, pulling himself loose as Legend brought his hands to clasp in front of his chest in an imitation of the maids he’d seen worrying about the halls when Fable went missing. “We’ll do everything in our power to find your little one, madame, you have my word.” The soldier bowed, kissing the back of the vet’s hand graciously before moving back into the crowd and snapping orders at the soldiers stationed around the market.
People buzzed by, spreading the word of ‘little Violet’s’ disappearance as Warriors and Wind pushed forwards to where Legend stood.
“Really, vet?” Warriors murmured lowly.
“I panicked.” He admitted softly, as to avoid anyone noticing as he wrung his hands. “But seriously, where is ‘’Violet’? I thought he’d have appeared before it became a big thing.”
The captain frowned, settling a hand on his shoulder carefully and standing on his toes to look over the crowd as Wind giggled at the scowling veteran. The minute he shot a look down at the sailor though, the kid had picked up his role as smoothly as if he’d never dropped it. “I’m worried, mom.” Wind blinked past fake tears, and had he not needed to remain in character, Legend would have scowled and flicked the kid’s nose for the tease.
“I am too, honey.” He sighed instead, ruffling the sailor’s curls and looking over to where the others had been. Time and the others had disappeared into the crowd again, likely trying to keep a low profile and laughing their asses off at Legend’s expense while Time and Sky scolded Twilight.
“Mama?” A small voice called out, and the crowd, and he meant the whole crowd, the whole freaking crowd of several hundred people, froze as a small face peeked out from an alleyway, the smithy’s hand coming up to rub at his shimmering purple eyes with a sniff. “Mama?”
“Violet!” All three heroes surged forwards, Legend sinking to his knees and wrapping Four in a hug, taking the opportunity when his face was hidden from the crowd to scowl. “About time you showed up.” Aloud for the crowd however, he let sobs pitch his voice hysterically. “Oh honey, you can’t run off on mama like that! I was worried sick!”
And as if to put the icing on the cake of shame, one of the men in the crowd smiled softly, patting Warriors’ back with a friendly smile. “Your wife is quite the caring mother, isn’t she? Ah, you’re a lucky man, Mr.”
Legend forced himself to not blow their cover, no matter how little they now needed it with the others safely out of sight. Breaking character meant causing drama that they didn’t need. ‘Violet’ had been found, the cute little family would depart, people would calm. But if the worried mother turned out to be a screaming teenage boy and the lost daughter to be a smithy apprentice with a height problem, people would likely riot. So instead of turning around and giving the man a piece of his mind, he pushed forwards, hefting Four in his arms (the smithy sank into him with a sigh that couldn’t have been faked) letting the smaller hero nestle against him, hood hiding the smithy’s face from view as he pulled them both up, adjusting his arms so as to not drop the other.
Man, he was glad he’d put on power bracelets today.
“She is indeed.” Warriors forced out, a strained smile on his face as he settled his hand on Legend’s waist, stiff, cold and incredibly awkward. “We’d probably better head off, dear.” If the captain smiled any harder, he’d break his teeth. “Or the inns will all be full.”
It should have ended there, it should have. Legend was so ready for it to end (although Four was warm and a calming presence as the smithy began to doze against his chest), but because fate loved to mess with him, it didn’t.
“You’re looking for a place to stay the night?” The Man-Who-Needed-To-Be-Kicked cocked a brow. “I run an inn here, just across the square. I’m sure we can find a lovely little family like yourselves a place to rest, you and our wife must be exhausted after such worry!”
Warriors, sages curse and bless him, nodded along stiffly, gently pulling him along by is waist after the Blasted-Innkeeper-Who-Would-Be-Kicked as the man chattered about family discounts and free dinner. Legend’s shoulders only lowered when a free trip to the bath house was also thrown in ‘complimentarily’.
He regretted it when someone pointed him to the ladies’ side of the bath-house (think heavens it was empty that early), and he was about ready to strangle something or someone when the others joined them inside, stuck with a regularly priced room, and the smithy and vet both were bombarded with teases as Warriors sat looking utterly and completely disgusted.
“They thought we were married....”
Legend groaned, flopping over on the other side of the bed with a grimace. “Gross, right?”
“Yeah.”
"We’re forgetting this ever happened, right?”
“Yeah.”
“Good.”
Regardless, no one ever let them forget it happened.
Legend was buying Twilight a muzzle, and he was pretty sure Wars would be willing to help.

Chapter 5 - Playtime Chaos
Cass was going to kill Jason. That is, if Marie didn’t do it first by accident. He needed to go back to Gotham ASAP and get out of her hair! He may have been helpful to begin with, but now he was a menace and needed to go!
Jason had created a ‘new game’, well he said it was one he and Alfred used to play when he first moved into the manor, but it was still new to Cass. Only Jason had not really thought through the consequences of said game. He hadn’t thought that this game was with Cass and him rather than with Alfred who had obviously thought the game through properly.
The game, of which Jason thought was an amazing idea, was to redirect Marie's pickpocketing habit. If she pickpocketed strangers chocolate rights were reduced. Marie figured this rule out quickly which resulted in one horrific drama due reduced chocolate for the day. It was painful with lots of tears for all involved. Then there was a chocolate reward/increase rule when she pickpocketed Cass or Jason.
Cass might have agreed with his logic. It was a good game to bond with her, ensure she felt her skills remained and reduce the thieving, but this… THIS… result should have been expected!
What they hadn't considered is that the pair often carried weapons on them ALL the time. In and out the house. The pair were paranoid. Marie had observed the pair and quickly worked out what and where they stored these weapons.
Marie was also good at being light fingered to begin with. They knew that. THEY HAD EXPERIENCED IT. This wasn't new territory for her.
Training Marie further was a bad idea.
Cass so wanted to kill Jason for this game.
Cass’s heart couldn’t cope with it anymore. When the knives were taken it was anxiety inducing. Watching her daughter dance around with a knife, playing with it and watching it slice through the air caused so much panic in Cass.
The positive of that event was that Cass had started to train her daughter in basic swordplay. She observed, much like Damian, that going through basic positions and movements grounded and calmed her daughters chaotic energy. Marie was picking the skill up quickly so official 'safe fencing lessons' will be added to the girls learning activities.
Jason though, Jason her ‘delightful brother’ (if he survived her wrath), carried guns. He had ‘hidden’ guns around her apartment. So coming home from shopping to find her precious, innocent, sticky fingered Marie, inspecting and playing a gun was petrifying.
And Jason who was meant to be watching her daughter was missing! It was the last straw for Cass.
…………………………………………..
Jason admits that this may have been a mistake. Thinking back with a more analytical perspective than fond memories. Alfred had set it up that Jason would nearly always win the game. Alfred knew where weapons were but didn’t carry them around on his person.
Marie was a natural. Jason was super proud of his niece, she was getting swifter and lighter at each attempt. Her playing with the finds aka knives was maybe a little oversight. Cass’s reaction to it all was even less fun. Her subtle disgruntledness was made known to him unpleasantly. Swapping the sugar for salt in his morning coffee was revolting! But it at least was just basic pranks Cass was retaliating with… not Wayne Manor declarations of war…. He hoped...
He had popped out the room briefly (ok maybe not briefly but not for a really long time) as Roy had rang and wanted his assistance for a mission. Coming back into the room he found Pixie with his latest new toy *cough* gun and an irrate Cass looking like she would murder with the batglare she throw at him.
"Hi Cass.... Pixie… Roy just called asking for my assistance. I'll," he gulped as his sister levelled him with a laser beam stare and his niece turned to him, pointing the gun in a way he was showing her earlier, with curiosity showing on her face. "I'll be leaving in a few days… umm Pixie could you be a sweetheart and aim the gun downwards please?"
His niece frowned at him looking at it and him "Chocolate?" Jason quickly glanced at Cass and could feel the icy waves wafting off her. "Errr... Yeah sure thing sweetie. But to get it you will need to put the gun down first please."
Marie broke into a grin and put the gun in the coffee table skipping over to Jason to grab his hand leading him to her treasure. "Your stance then was much better, Pixie, and I didn't even feel you take the gun this time. You've improved loads this week."
He felt Cass's anger pour off her. Maybe he should have asked if he could teach Pixie about guns....
When the pair returned to the living room, Cass handed Jason his suitcase. "Go! Be Roy's issue now"
…………………………………………..
With Jason gone Cass found that the apartment was much quieter with just the pair of them, especially as sign language seemed to be both of their preferred communication method. Cass turned to playing music in the background to remind her of her siblings back in Gotham (not Jason though), this caused her to dance absentmindedly. Marie was often caught trying to mimicking her dance moves with light footwork, her grace and form yet to be perfected.
Cass saw this as another class to sign her daughter up to along with fencing to burn the chaotic energy up. Especially now Jason wasn't around playing rough and tumble with her.
................................................................
It was one afternoon about a month after Jason had left that Cass had a break through. While Marie was setting up a tea ceremony (a post swordplay practice ritual she'd got into), Cass had stumbled on her first actual clue in finding out about Marie's past. Her search had finally unearthed similar symbols, used centuries ago by some Tibetan monks, to the ones that were on her back. What this meant Cass was unsure. To progress further she probably needed to talk to Babs or Tim, but if she did that she'd have to tell them why. Which everyone finding about Marie and she wasn't ready for that.
She still fretted over what Marie must have gone though and to unleash the Wayne's on her seemed daunting.
Cass was about to look further into what she had gathered when her phone went off. It Alfred calling which was unusual.
"Alfred"
"Hello Miss Cassandra. I hope you are well and have settled into motherhood comfortably."
Cass paled. Alfred knew!! Damn it Jason!!! He was dead meat when she saw him next.
"Adapting. Marie, your great granddaughter, is sweet. Both learning about being together"
"I see. I am assuming that that is going well. Master Jason has mentioned that you found her on the streets in a similar manner to how he was found."
Jason guns were going to go missing and be replaced with water pistols.
"Yes. Much better now. Learning sign to talk to each other. Eating better too."
"That is good news to hear Miss Cassandra."
It was a set up. Jason had triggered in and Alfred was waiting to pounce. There was no way to escape but to make it easier for her self.
"We visit you soon. Wanted Marie settled first."
"I'll arrange a flight for you in a fortnight's time. Is there anything young Miss Marie will require."
Completely trapped now she'd taken the bait. Alfred knew it, she knew it. And everyone will know about Marie in no time. Maybe she would be able to get Babs and Tims help after all.
"Thank you Alfred. Bunk bed, milk chocolate and chocolate spread please." Cass paused for a second as Marie looked over to her signing 'tea time Mama'
"Loose green tea leaves too, for tea ceremony, please."
Cass finally could hear a smile in Alfred's voice and relaxed slightly. She may have escaped some of Alfred's disappointment.
"I will ensure I meet those requirements Miss Cassandra. I will send you your flight details when I have finished arranging them. I look forward to seeing you again Miss Cassandra, and to meeting Miss Marie. I will now take my leave for you to spend time with you daughter."
Looks like she will be needing to prepare Maire for a flight and meeting the family. She would have to up her parenting game to ensure she completely beat Bruce.
Moments after she had hung up Alfred had sent flight details across. Complete evidence that the whole call as a ruse and he got what he wanted. Well played Alfred well played. Cass responded to Alfred, thanking him for his efficiency and to arrange some face time calls to occur in the next fortnight. Alfred deserved to get to know her precious Marie first so at least she had an ally in the Manor when they visited. Someone other than Jason. That reminded Cass to shoot a text to Jason
*You.are.dead.betrayer.*
He replied quickly to her message
*Adventure with Roy went sideways. Alfred wasn't happy. I needed something to soften the blow!!! I'm sorry!!! Don't kill me!!*
Pah! He sold her out that's what. He was in Alfred's book of disappointment and didn't want to be there alone so dragged her to hell too. Jokes on him, she'll work her and Marie magic to make it work for them. Her phone buzzed again as Jason messaged her again. Ignoring it she went to join Marie for tea and tell her the 'fun news'.
In her head she had a fortnight to prepare her revenge.

If you’re still doing requestsssssss how about a hcs of Dazai x fem! Reader who is like Midari from Kakegurui 😌
Ooh thats a nice one! Yes love, I'm still doing requestss
And I'm so sorry, this is so late... also it's very long n I'm not exaggerating. It's not even funny I'm so sorry
I'm Crazy, But I'm Free
Dazai x Fem!reader who is like Midari
• You and Dazai probably met during his days at the port mafia.
• I can imagine the mafia capturing you because of how much trouble you were causing in a casino.
• UK, when big businesses pay gangsters for security?? Yeah, similarly the casino you were playing at, has paid the mafia.
• You were already banned from many other casinos, as your games either end with you gaining a lot of money, or begin with a dangerous condition.
• Many people were quite afraid of you, and wanted to avoid even being in the same room as you, as they couldn't handle the severity of the danger you pose with every game.
• Anyways, so you were warned by a few members of the mafia twice, but you, being the fearless adventurer you are, flipped them off and continued to seek a life threatening game.
• So then the mafia decided to use violence, and cornered you in a dark alley. You pulled out your beloved gun.
"Well, well, well! Do you boys want a fight!?", you excitedly point the gun at them.
"Put your weapon down, Ms. L/N. We are here to warn you for the final time. Stay away from this casino. Further misbehavior will lead to dangerous consequences."
You hum, thinking up a plan.
"How about this. My revolver has 5 bullets. And there are five of us. How about we all take turns to shoot blindfolded!"
You excitedly shove them in a circular arrangement.
"I'll go first! The rules are that every person gets a chance to shoot from the center of the circle. If the bullet misses, everyone takes a step ahead, closer to the center."
You explain, grinning at the men clad in all black.
"If a bullet hits me, I'll agree to your terms. If it hits one of you lot, then you can't stop me anymore. What do you say?!"
The mafiosi were weirded out by this. What if you had a good aim, or an ability that allowed you to shoot them with your eyes closed? They didn't have much intel on you, and only knew you to be a girl from a rich background, who had come to Yokohama for higher studies.
"That's enough. Grab her-"
• Thats when our boy showed up. Dazai was curious when he overheard some of the men talk about some 'fearless girl that had flipped them off even after two rather threatening warnings.'
• So he had decided to tag along, staying in the shadows, until now.
• "I think it will be a wonderful idea. Play along, gentlemen. I want to see where this goes."
• You shot, and missed. So did the other guy. Then the other one. Now, the circle had shrunk really small. You were almost in the line of fire at this point. There was an 80% chance of getting shot.
• "That's enough." ,Dazai said, as he walked to stand in front of you.
• "You are daring, aren't you. You're not afraid of death."
• Staring into his eyes, you saw a reflection of yourself. A dark, lost soul stared back at you.
• "In fact, you arranged this little game to ensure that you got hurt. You perfectly planned it out, and ensured that as the circle gets smaller, you would be in the direct line of fire."
• "You missed the first shot on purpose, didn't you?"
• He had seen right through your game.
'What's this guy's deal?', you thought.
"Why would you stop the game when it was at its peak? Hah? Whats wrong with you, man?!", you angrily grab his collar. "I was just beginning to have fun, and here you are, ruinjng it!"
• Taken aback by your bravery, he just blinked at you.
"Do you know who I am?"
"Yes, obviously, idiot. But that doesn't give you any right to interrupt our game."
"Oh? So who do you think I am."
You give him a 'baka janiono?' look.
"You are their leader. Probably an executive of the mafia, judging by your expensive suit. Why?"
The thoughts running through Dazai's head were along the lines of :
'Just who is this girl? How does she know about the mafia? Surely my men weren't dumb enough to tell her who they work for. How does she know about my position? She surely didn't just guess that, right?? And why the fuck does a student have a gun? Does her family have connections within the underworld? She obviously doesn't fear death. Will she be a good addition to the mafia?'
• "What are you thinking about, baka? Answer me."
• He smiled sweetly at you, and firmly gripped your wrist, pushing it off his collar.
"There's someone who would like to meet you"
Before you can retort back, he continues,"You seek adventure, do you not? You want to feel something worthwhile. Something akin to facing death, something that will give you an adrenaline rush. I can give you all of that. If you come with me, that is."
• Mori was shocked when he heard about what had happened. He agreed with Dazai's decision to make you join the ranks. He needed such fearless crackheads in his organization.
• He paired you up with the double black, making you an executive too. You hadn't quite agreed to his terms, but he had offered you to just accompany the ginger and the brunette on a mission. And had let you make the final decision .
• You three had to go to an abandoned warehouse, where some people were tampering with the mafia goods. There, you saw how sadistic Dazai was. How manipulative and bad he was. It made you fall for him. Hard. Plus, you realized the risk of being a mafiosi. It was quite thrilling.
• When you got back, you had screamed at mori to let you join. Quite literally begged. And he, ofcourse, agreed. You hadn't even given him a chance to threaten your life, which was the usual norm, when a valuable asset wasn't willing to join the ranks of the feared organization.
• You trained with dazai. And purposely got hit. It turned you on. But you never mentioned anything, in fear of being rejected.
• Dazai, ofcourse, noticed this, and one fine day, confronted you about it. You told him just how much you love him. He was always intrigued by your sadistic side. He saw a part of himself in you. The daring, brave, smart side of yours was something so similar to himself, yet unique. You were seeking the same thing that he was, that is to feel something. He felt sadness, and loneliness, and he never had a purpose in life. You, someone who had it all, a good family, a great marksheet, and a pre set goal in life, were willing to give it away, just to feel something. He, someone who was stripped off of a normal childhood, was never given the opportunity to choose. He used to think that maybe he was to blame. Maybe if he had had better luck, he would have gotten a good childhood, a purpose. But now that he knows you, a genius, smart person, who had it all, but threw it away, he realized that maybe life really is worthless. Maybe, he wasn't to be blamed. And that, oddly enough, made him feel better. To know that no matter how much lady luck favors him, life would still be fucked up, and that it wasn't his fault, made him hate himself less.
• And so, you two became a thing.
• Let's just say, that both of you are equally freaky.
• You want him to dom u, and he gladly accepts
• You guys try it all... I mean, especially with guns.
• I can imagine you both sitting at a boring meeting, when you decide to edge him on, and you're not even touching him. Your gun is.
• You both claim atleast one spare room on every floor of the building, for your.... activities.
• You are like his praise queen.
• He loves that.
• Always rough. Always. And you guys are into spicing it up.
• Anyways, you both never decide to commit double suicide.
• Thats because dazai wants a beautiful way out, while you want to feel the thrill of facing death. You don't really want to die, you just want to know the feeling of almost dying. You want to feel something exhilarating.
• When Dazai decides to leave the mafia, you are all for it. As long as you get to stay by his side, you were ok with it.
• Like Midari, you are a very perceptive person, and can easily guess what's going on in someone's mind. Dazai was easy to read for you, as his thoughts were pretty similar to your own.
• You were smart, cunning, and could read peoples mind with ease. So it was pretty easy for you to guess what's going on in Dazai's mind, sometimes even predicting his next moves.
• You really fit in with the ada, coz that place is filled with crackheads, and you and dazai are no exception lol
• Also, you get along with Yosano really well.
• Like, if you weren't so loyal to dazai, you would have become Yosanos slave. So would i ngl
• Anyways, you and dazai always mess with kunikida. You two prank him till the breaking point. You two are such a menace in the office. Always skipping work, slacking off, but really shining when it comes to actual detective work, like solving mysteries.
• You are a valuable asset to the ada, coz 1. You are smart and 2. You can intimidate the enemy into giving in, thanks to your sadistic games.
• You are also a very good companion. You can easily understand what the other is feeling, and end up comforting the gang.
• I can imagine you roasting Kunikida for being such a nerd, but at the same time giving him accurate and well needed advice .
• You do the same for your bf, and the two of you have many late night convos about topic that Dazai had never discussed with anyone before. Because no one had quite understood him the way you did.
• Midari is actually a pretty deep character, and just like her, you have many layers. There's the sadistic side, the goofy side, the careless side, the intelligent side and the insightful nature.
• You would be his perfect partner, as you'd support his crazy, reckless ideas, but at the same time keep him afloat, and prevent him from drowning in his own thoughts.

Shadows. ~ Often has a hard time organizing his thoughts, and can end up rambling nonsense. ~ A psychiatrist would probably call it Schizoaffective Disorder. ~ On\off depression, but doesn’t want to admit it. ~ Addicted to energy drinks, but actually hates the taste. ~ Loves: Adrenaline, his work, clubbing, working out, burgers, alcohol, drugs, chili cheese fries, sex, hot sauce of any kind, extreme sport, any sort of video game involving cars, humming birds and going to concerts. ~ His style is: Gym wear. ~ Is actually a really nice person if you peel all the other layers off first.
