fave autistic-coded sitcom characters
abed nadir (community) -- a fan favourite, a must love, if you will. also his special interest is refreshingly films and videography (like me !1!1!) instead of anything stem related.
frankie dart (community) -- look, if abed is on this list, frankie needs to be too. lesbian queen. strong principles. tells it like it is (but in an autistic way). is the only character to explicitly be shown to understand abed's view of life and the way he exists in the world.
jessica huang (fresh off the boat) -- if you don't think jessica huang is on the spectrum, have you even watched the show? doesn't understand the 'rituals' that people partake in when making friends (as an autistic immigrant who grew up in a white neighbourhood, i can relate), needs a schedule for Everything, hates when things don't go her way, is honest to a fault. special interest: stephen king, murder mysteries + christmas.
mary (bbc ghosts) -- love her, little ray of sunshine who has been through too much. her stims are everywhere and she never feels the need to hide them <3 plus she's played by queen katy wix (who is also autistic!)
gregory eddie (abbott elementary) -- a relatively new addition to the sitcom family, but instantly iconic. i love the way he talks about his relationship with food.
orla mccool (derry girls) -- peak Weird Girl representation. unapologetically herself and into her special interests, takes things so literally in a way that frames her as charming instead of stupid, and covers her ears when people are yelling/being too loud <3 also nb.
adrian mallory (space force) -- just a stubborn, 'sassy' man who loves space and has a very, very rigid moral compass.
keeley jones (ted lasso) -- stunner, icon, bicon, all around amazing person. also she's autistic. the Teeth thing, obsession with the colour pink (in EVERYTHING, not just her wardrobe), needs clarification a lot. doesn't feel jealousy for other women in a Strong Feminist way, a bisexual way, and an autistic way. no i do not take criticism.
coach beard (ted lasso) -- is incredibly knowledgeable about the things he is interested in, has a vast compartment of fun facts (to the extent that ted always asks when he needs more information). extremely observant, king of the deadpan face, is mostly non-verbal. special interests: chess + coaching.
tina belcher (bob's burgers) -- i don't personally watch bb, but i can dig it.
maurice moss (the IT crowd) -- like sheldon cooper, but better, but unfortunately british.

Can you go into more detail about what was up with the 2016 Crufts GSD 👀
~@release-the-hound 💙
i don't think much needs saying tbh
the added context is at this was the height of the Pedigree Dogs Exposed era, and both Crufts and the KC had been under pressure to judge and select more moderately. GSDs weren't the only breed getting flak, but the backlash after this one was so bad they actually cut some of the footage from the replay - in the official upload you can see it coming in and the hands-on judging, but not going around.
Below is 2016, and 2017 for comparison

i dont believe in punishing kids when they didnt do anything INTENTIONALLY bad so episodes like the ring and when they burnt down the resturant make me sad, like bob and linda are usually good parents but the fandom always talks abt how theyre horrible kids and ruin their parents lives and they should be punished but what would that solve?? they didnt do it on PURPOSE what they need to learn is that they shouldnt look through their parents things or try them on without asking, or they should've asked bob for help with getting the ring off. they didnt intentionally burn down the resturant but they should learn for next time that its a REALLY bad idea to leave a hair straighter plugged in next to a fan and fireworks (and also it was hugo's fault too) like the damage is already done so why punish them when theyre obviously good kids who care a lot

@cryptidclaw this is flintface knollclan's senior medic and my favorite old man. ok hes not actually that old (him and his brother are on the younger side of middle aged) but he exudes world weary old man energy.
i love him hes living in a horror movie and survives simply because he is unbothered and uncaring of anything supernatural by choice. hes best friends with one of the local cryptids/boogeymen that mollies tell their kits will eat them. he witnessed his nephew come back to life after being stillborn and dead for at least an hour and didnt say anything to anyone because SOMETHING happened there and hes not going to make his life more difficult by angering the cause so its clearly not his business.
(he then received a very ominous dream about finchkit which he also ignored because he doesnt believe any cats are destined to be evil and he was right starclan just hates finch for being a haunted little victorian child)
if they existed in the same universe and met i think him and garlicnose would be really weird unlikely friends
