Also rq, language lesson. Angel's name in bulgarian is pronounced An (like another) - gel (like Geller). It's also a hard L but I don't think there's an equivalent in english. Sounds almost like the 'w' in 'way'.

Regardless, it means the same thing in both languages and is used both as a name and as a word in bulgarian. Has special meaning to him for that exact reason. His late husband used to call him angel.

It really annoys me that Viv doesn't allow her abuser characters to be at least a little less obvious. This would not only make the story more realistic, but also make it more logical.

Take the example of the fourth episode with Valentino. Okay, let's assume that we believe that Charlie, who has been in Hell for centuries, has no idea what high-status overlords are and does not know what kind of person Valentino is, let's discuss another thing: why Valentino is so openly flirting with the daughter of the lord of Hell, who is two heads above him in status and flirt with her to the point that he licks her hand (and she almost doesn't react to it in any way)? If they wanted to demonstrate how lustful Val is, they could have done it more elegantly, for example, Val takes Charlie's hand in his, kisses it, and then licks his lips, saying in a WHISPER that this is a lovely specimen, what Charlie cannot hear and wants to ask again, but Val interrupts her and still holding her hand points to the main stage asking if she wants to perform.

Next, the scene of Angel's beating. Why would Val try to be polite and take spider into another room if he then roughly grabs his arm and throws him on the bed in front of Charlie? What was the point of hiding if you then show all the cards? And why does Charlie just leave after Angel's words? Doesn't she see how he treats Angel and sees that he has a huge black eye that didn't exist before he went to the dressing room with his boss? Let's leave the question of why Angel can't enlist Charlie's support, which should clearly be more powerful than his boss, and put it all down to the fact that he's just afraid, but why does Charlie do nothing if he sees the consequences? Again, how could this scene be made better: Val, after talking and beating Angel, orders him to hide the black eye with makeup, Angel obeys while Val leaves the dressing room and goes to talk to Charlie, again trying to play the gentleman he says that despite the fact that he himself is very flattered by her presence in his studio, this accident during filming led him to the conclusion that Charlie would distract Angel from work and, according to him, Angel holds the same opinion. Charlie initially refuses to leave, but Angel comes out of the dressing room, already with makeup on her face, which hides the bruise and in the same aggressive manner that is shown in the series tells Charlie to leave, and she runs away in tears. It would show that Valentino could use Angelch not only as a commodity, but also as a human shield against the royal family, in this case against Charlie, and it would make him a more realistic and creepy abuser.

When you've got a fanbase consisting of this many kids and young adults either in college or headed off there, there's a lot of things you don't want to be telling them about life and relationships and sex and consent that Viv tells them.

"If they're an abuser, it will be glaringly obvious" is one of them.
