Jazz gets death threats working at Arkham Asylum. She thinks they’re hilarious. I mean, it’s hard not to laugh when you’re technically considered Queen Mother of The Infinite Realms. In her mind, the notes are basically telling her to go home and hug her brother/child.

The Batfam are growing increasingly concerned and confused as to why she doesn’t take these threats seriously.

magolor basically gets adopted by some doomers in another dimension because wholesome stuff

headcannon time

Doomers are extremely social. Normally, they stay in groups consisting of Doomers with the same elemental powers, but if they have some other element, they are thrown out of the group. Even if they find another flock, they don't allow outsiders. This is because outcast Doomers are more often unable to get enough energy on their own, and therefore are weaker.

The mama Doomer and baby Doomer featured in this are outcast Doomers, and they happened to come across Magolor. They started following him because they were interested in what such a small and strange thing was doing near their home, and eventually just grew protective over him.

I'm naming the baby Doomer Snowbowl because of the super ability, its an ice Doomer, and its favorite way of greeting Magolor is ramming into him.

after writing angst for azul, i feel much more confident to write angst pieces for jade and floyd. >:D

the idea for floyd is that he was your closest and only friend in childhood, but you disappeared one day and so he spends the entirety of his life searching for you because the two of you had such a special, unbreakable bond. floyd is determined to find you and he ignores all of the doubtful people who tell him you're long gone. but it's been years since his childhood and he's well into adulthood now. still, he refuses to give up (even though there are days where he really contemplates whether you're still out there). floyd just wants to bring his shrimpy home. :( where did his shrimpy go?

for jade, it's a story in which a rain god (jade) washes up on the shore and realizes he's lost the ability to cry. this is bad news for villagers because without jade's tears/sadness rain cannot fall and thus a horrible drought plagues your little seaside village, rendering the land dry and cracked and producing very scant harvests. you find jade and decide to nurse him back to health while also attempting to get the rain god to finally cry. only, jade doesn't know what makes him sad anymore... but he learns a lot about what it means to be human when he spends so much time with you. there's always been something strangely sad about humans, but jade doesn't mingle with them and so he's never known just what this something is. but he learns. he learns, even if he doesn't want to, about what makes a human life beautifully tragic.

Being a woc fan of Bridgerton can be a struggle, especially when it comes to liking the poc characters on the show, especially the woc. Like I remember when s1 came out and the blatant microaggressions and just plain racism coming from this fandom was atrocious. You had people spewing very hateful things about Charlotte, Marina, and Simon and undermining the latter two's pain and trauma at the hands of the white characters---Marina was treated terribly by the Featheringtons and, whether you like Penelope or not, you cannot deny that she also played a part by releasing that letter to the Ton and Simon was violated Daphne no matter how people try to spin the story to offer her some form of sympathy (it still blows my mind that people would want to though).

S2 is just as bad (not even including how they changed the Sharma family's storyline than how it was in the books when that wasn't necessary) and the racist undertones many of the fans have towards Mary and Edwina (as well as Kate but for her it's carries more brown woman needing to be saved by a white man when Anthony is involved because a lot of you all in the fandom are quick to use this trope such as "oh, he's the only one who truly knows her"). The lack of screen time for this family really ends up hurting them to but even with that, whether you like Mary and Edwina or not, it would be a lie to deny the racism a lot in the fandom hold towards them (and how that falls onto the actresses because it was very apparent how many in the fandom couldn't let two Desi women shine without having to bring down the other and Netflix played into that too for drama) and paints every small thing they do as being terrible crimes but in the same breath will not have the same smoke for the Bridgertons, who have their own set of problems (but because they are also the main family, among other things, they are provided more grace without consequences).

browsing through the ao3 bsd archive and stumbling over so, so many fix its, adaptions, continuations of the Mearsault arc pre s5 ep11. Angsty dramatizations, so many of them - this is not a complaint, I stuck so many of them on my for later list - and I'm just still not over how wildly, WIDELY AU they all went with just, like 30 seconds of anime. The cognitive dissonance is giving me whiplash.

Mario and.. the Visitor

It's a normal day out, Luigi and Mario out in the city, mostly heading to the mall to just get some stuff. (Mario insisted he could go alone, but everyone knows better.) Until they ran into a very confused girl.

She almost looks like a female version of Juliano, except she's wearing a magenta sweater, blue jeans, white tennis shoes, and no hat. She introduces herself, says her name is Mandy, and that she really doesn't know where she is and she's really confused.

The two end up agreeing to take her back to the showgrounds. The majority of the episode is her following them, and Mario pulling her and Luigi into his antics. Oddly enough, she seems really used to it. Like, super used to it. Luigi even asks her about it, and she casually comments, "I've been dealing with someone similar for 5 years now. I'm kinda used to it."

Eventually, they get to the showgrounds, where everyone greets them, Forum and Domain included. Who both freeze upon seeing Mandy, but before they can explain why, Juliano walks out, and both he and Mandy freeze. Before Juliano mutters, "Mandy?"

Turns out, Mandy is his little sister, who is really surprised to see her big brother in a universe that is not his own. And way too easily, Juliano comes up with a lie, saying that he's just visiting this dimension and that she should really be getting back, because she's in the future.

With the help of Abyssal, Domain and Forum get Mandy both back to the past her correct universe, but not before saying that she hopes to see them all in the actual future.

She leaves, and Tari asks if Juliano is okay. He only smiles wistfully. "Truthfully? Not.. completely, but it was nice seeing her again. I think it gave me some closure."

He's right because some missing texture patches on his arms slowly fade away.
