Exposing SVSSS Fanon: 22/∞
LUO BINGHE AND SHEN QINGQIU WERE MEANT TO END UP TOGETHER IN THE ORIGINAL DRAFT OF PIDW
Rating: FANON - CONFLICTING
There is a somewhat common interpretation in fandom that in Airplane's original outline for PIDW, Luo Binghe and Shen Qingqiu were meant to be together in the end. While this could be an entertaining concept, and there is a potential argument to support it, I believe that this interpretation conflicts with canon due to the fact that a contradictory intention for the original draft was directly stated.
The original idea most likely comes from the following quote:
Shang Qinghua raised his arms high. “Cucumber-bro,” he said, impassioned, “if the System hadn’t selected you, a loyal and die-hard reader, I’m afraid the plot would never have been distorted to this extent, right back to the outline I discarded..." (7 Seas, Ch. 21)
While it is certainly one possible interpretation to read this as "the plot of SVSSS is what Airplane would have written," and on first glance it does appear to be this way, I think that this has much more to do with the type of characters and the filling of plot holes, as earlier in the conversation, he says this:
"...Compared to writing the kind of stallion guy who’s everywhere on Zhongdian, it’s better to portray a male lead like the current Bing-ge, whose life is full of mishaps, whose personality is a bit more complex and full of contradictions and conflicts—that kind of weirdo. That’s more in line with my writing philosophy.” (7 Seas, Ch. 21)
Shen Qingqiu is the one who first remarks on sexuality, and Airplane defends gay protagonists, but the "original outline" seems to be more likely referencing this quote.
There is also the interesting fact of this thought:
Why did that make it sound like the System and this world were the creation of Shang Qinghua’s regrets, as an author who’d had to scrap his outline in favor of popular opinion? (7 Seas, Ch. 21)
Though this is just a side thought from Shen Qingqiu, it is an interesting thing to note nonetheless, especially if one also considers the system's original requirements:
【 One, change the nonsensical plot and raise the average IQ of the villains and supporting characters. Two, avoid landmines that break suspension of disbelief. Three, ensure the main character’s satisfaction points. Four, discover and finish hidden plot events. 】 (7 Seas, Ch. 1)
If we follow the thread of "the system as a creation of Shang Qinghua's regrets," we can pair that with the list of requirements above. Of course, that implies that there is anything specifically to read from that earlier comment of Shen Qingqiu's, which may or may not be the case.
Considering the requirements, though, the only one that specifically relates to BingQiu getting together would be "ensure the main character's satisfaction points," but it does not specify romance between those two characters as the only way to do so.
While the first passage is the one mainly used to argue for this theory, one could also use the matter of Shen Qingqiu's red thread linking to Luo Binghe to support it-- that is, if one ascribes the cut thread to either Shen Yuan's former life, or to some other party, and the current thread belonging to the identity of Shen Qingqiu (not specifically Shen Yuan, therefore meaning that it was still present with Shen Jiu). This is a fairly weak argument, but one I will still address for clarity's sake. The text specifically says the following regarding the red threads:
“Sir, about the red thread from your past—my skill is insufficient, so I can’t…see it clearly. At first glance, it seemed like you were alone, but if I look carefully, I can catch a faint glimpse of another thread.” She concluded regretfully, “This thread has been cut… Such a pity.” Shen Jiu had once had a fiancée, but Shen Yuan was a single dog! Their two threads were tangled together, so it was no surprise that the madam couldn’t see it all clearly. (7 Seas, Ch. 23)
Shen Yuan assumes the cut thread belongs to Shen Jiu-- and this makes sense, since it is only a faint glimpse. The remnant of Shen Jiu's red thread remaining attached to Shen Qingqiu's body falls in line with the way that Shen Jiu's memories also remained to some degree-- even though it is Shen Yuan's soul which now occupies the body, there are still traces of its former inhabitant. As to who Shen Jiu's cut thread belongs to, that is a topic for another post-- nonetheless, it is safe to believe that neither of these threads of the past point to Luo Binghe. Notably, there is not one single red thread that stretches from the past to the future. The options in the past are either "alone" or "severed thread," regardless of whose is whose.
Of course, despite these arguments having strengths and weaknesses, nothing thus far has proven one way or another whether Shen Qingqiu and Luo Binghe were intended to be together-- for that, we must go to Shang Qinghua's own thoughts and the following passage:
【 Basic completion of Proud Immortal Demon Way’s original outline achieved (slight deviation in romance plotline); objective complete. Retrieving function to return to original world; download complete. Activate Return Home sequence? 】 Basic completion of the original outline? That he agreed with. All the holes that needed to be filled had been filled. But this “slight deviation of romance plot” wasn’t quite right. Bing-ge was now fully gay; how could you say that was a “slight deviation”? Ah, fine, fine, in fact, in his original outline, Bing-ge hadn’t even had a romance plotline; he had been doomed to fade away, alone and unaging forever. If you insisted on adding a romance plotline, all right, that was whatever, so putting aside all the System’s rambling…this meant he could return to his original world?! (7 Seas, Ch. 26)
This passage makes it perfectly clear that the BingQiu romance was not part of the original outline, both in the system's note of "slight deviation in romance plotline," as well as in Shang Qinghua's own words-- that the original Bing-ge wasn't intended to have a romance at all.
If it were not for this section, I would rate the theory as unsupported or perhaps as neutral, but because there is direct clarification in the above passage, it can only be said that Luo Binghe and Shen Qingqiu were not canonically meant to end up together in the original draft of PIDW, and that this assertion is fanon which contradicts canon.

Little tawtute
Tumblr media
Spider(23) x fem!human reader(21) x Neteyam(22)
Content: MDNI, 18+, threesome, dom Spider, dom Neteyam, sub reader, oral (f receiving), p in v, voyeurism, slight Lo’ak x reader
Summary: Neteyam walks in on a private moment between Spider and a cute little tawtute.
A/N: I literally had this draft saved for weeks but didn’t have any motivation to finish it until today. After my hot girl walk, I was full of ideas and this smutty piece was born. This is my first time writing Spider so that was a new experience. I’m not going to lie, this was supposed to be a drabble yet it turned out way longer🤭
Tumblr media
tawtute - human
yawntutsyìp - little loved one
Growing up on Pandora had been tough, being one of the only humans her age. The only one around was Spider. It’s no wonder they grew so close…perhaps too close.
Turning into a woman changed her body.
Her body became heavier and plumper. Her curves filled out perfectly. She couldn’t wear the Na’vi clothes she used to love as a child. It simply didn’t feel as comfortable anymore, too revealing.
Activities such as exploring the forest, climbing, and running no longer felt comfortable for her body.
Spider wasn’t the little kid he used to be. He grew into a fully adult man with a strong body. It showed how much he had adapted to the Na’vi lifestyle.
Spider never strayed from the Na’vi culture while she felt more comfortable in the lab with the humans. Their relationship never faltered despite their differences.
There was one they did have in common. The craving for intimacy. Sexual intimacy. With the two being the only ones around their age, what choice did they have?
Tumblr media
Tonight was one of those nights.
A night filled with nothing but the sound of their lips smacking together, hands exploring each other's bodies.
Their clothes were scattered on the forest floor.
They didn’t talk. No, not tonight. Not when it had been weeks since they last had intimacy together. It had been tormenting for both of them.
She had been busy helping around the lab, assisting Max whenever needed.
Spider, as usual, spent a lot of time in the village. He may not have an avatar but that never stopped him from helping the people.
Spider was tough, brave and loyal. He may not have been born with the same physical as the Na’vi but what he did have was their mentality.
The only times they'd see each other was when Spider entered the lab to replace his mask or to stuff down some food.
That's why when they finally had time for themselves, Spider took her to a spot in the forest just a couple minutes away from the lab.
Spider was playful but he was no tease. Not when both of them were so desperate for each other.
That's why instead of teasing her as he usually would, he took off her clothes without hesitation.
He had her naked in seconds, two fingers stuffed deep inside of her wet cunt, thumb teasing her little nub.
If it weren't for those damn masks he'd have a taste too.
Tumblr media
Neteyam was tired, exhausted even. Today had been awful.
He was tasked to train the young warriors, forced to attend a meeting regarding the sky people and got yet another scolding for not having found a mate already.
He was always on duty, helping everyone but himself. Oh, to be the future olo'eyktan. What a dream.
His father had tasked him to deliver some samples to the lab before dismissing him for today.
It was already late, forest lit up with the bioluminescent flora and fauna.
He swiftly moved to the forest, bow and arrows on his back, warrior gear still on.
He wanted to get the samples to the lab and get it over with already.
Despite his tiredness, his senses were still on full alert. A warrior never weakens.
His ears twitched when he heard the sound of whimpering, tail flicking up in interest.
He approached the sounds, crouching down and staying hidden while trying to get a closer view.
His pupils dilated at the lewd sight in front of him, hairless eyebrows raising.
It was Lo'ak his friend, Spider. He was kissing a woman, a tawtute woman. Her back was pressed against a tree, eyes closed while Spider had two fingers stuffed inside her pussy.
His other hand held her leg up around his waist just to get better access to her dripping cunt.
Neteyam's eyes darkened when he saw the tawtute's slick dripping down Spider's fingers before falling to the floor.
He knew it was wrong to stay instead of leaving the two of them, but how could he? He was pent up, in need of a release. Seems like he had found his destresser tonight.
His cock instantly hardened, one of his hands moving down to untie his loincloth. As soon as it fell off he took his cock in one hand, pumping it slowly, eyes never leaving the sight in front of him.
A smug grin appeared on his face when the tawtute opened her eyes and made direct eye contact with him. She squeaked in surprise, alerting Spider of the third person watching them.
Tumblr media
Spider spread her legs, revealing her hole of glory.
“Spider.” She softly whined, feeling shy with her pussy exposed like that.
Neteyam shushed her, affectionately caressing her hair. “Ssh tawtute, you’re okay. I won’t do anything bad to you. I think you’ll like it a lot.” His words may have been reassuring but his smirk said otherwise, a silent reminder of how screwed she was.
“You’re okay, pretty girl. I’m here.” Spider comforted her, his hands caressing the side of her waist.
Spider was sitting on the forest floor, his back resting against the tree. He had her sitting in between his legs, her legs spread wide for Neteyam who was crouched down in front of her opened legs.
“So pretty, so soft,” Neteyam mumbled, inspecting her body. His gaze was so intense and focused, making her shy. Neteyam didn't fail to notice this, sensing her nervousness.
“Ssh, tawtute. I’m here. Neteyam will make it all better.” He said in a hushed tone, hands gently caressing her body.
He started by cupping her face in his large hands, running them down to caress his fingers over her delicate neck.
He leaned closer to her neck, taking in her scent. “Mmm.” He grunted softly, continuing to sniff at her neck. His hands, however, continued to explore her. His hands fondled those heavy breasts, not used to their size.
Neteyam inched closer to her pussy taking in its appearance and smell. “Such a small pussy.” He mocked her.
“Lay off her man.” Spider hissed at him, an annoyed look present on his face.
Neteyam shot him a warning glare.
The moment he caught a whiff of her arousal, it was over for her.
His pupils dilated and a crazed look appeared on his face. Before she knew it he pulled her closer by her thighs, burying his face in her pussy.
“N-Neteyam.” She whimpered, hips bucking up when his big tongue lapped at her pussy like a starved man.
He pulled the hood of her pussy up, revealing the small nub hiding underneath, his tongue swirling over it. She cried out in pleasure, hands holding onto Spider’s firm thighs.
Spider squeezed her breasts together, teasing the nipples. His cock was hard, aching to be stroked. He had to wait. He knew he couldn’t stop Neteyam now, not when he was this feral.
“I can't." Neteyam, it’s too much.” She whimpered, chest heaving up and down, her hips rolling against his face.
Neteyam didn’t bother to hold them down, loving the way her pussy smothered him.
“It’s okay yawntutsyìp. I’ll take care of you hmm?” He said in a caring manner only to push a finger in her pussy, making come here motions.
"Nggh, Neteyam!” She whined, her hands holding onto his braids. He only groaned at the feeling of the pair of small hands in his hair, in return making her feel even better with the vibrations sent to her pussy.
Neteyam thrust into his hand, unable to keep himself from pumping his cock with the way she was clenching around his finger and the overwhelming scent of my pussy.
She was sent into a frenzy when he added yet another finger, pumping them at a tantalizing pace. With each pump, they’d grind against her sweet spot.
His fingers along with his tongue massaging her clit became too much for the poor girl. “Mmm, am cumming!” She cried out, warm slick drizzling out of her pussy. Neteyam was quick to lap it all up.
It was only when she desperately started tugging at his braids that he granted her mercy and pulled away.
He sat up on his knees, pumping his cock in his hand while staring at her swollen pussy and fucked out expression. “So…fuck…such a delicious tawtute.” He hissed, glaring down at her.
She barely had time to catch a break before she was lifted and shoved down onto Spider’s cock. Spider was huge. Every time with him felt like the first time.
Spider wasn’t a talker. No, he was a grunter. Never able to stop himself from grunting and groaning whenever her tight heat would be engulfed around his cock.
Her mouth was open agape, silent moans escaping her lips, face scrunched up in pleasure. Wet smacking sound could be heard each time Spider would bounce her up and down onto cock.
Her hand rubbed tight circles around her little nub, getting herself closer to the edge.
“Mmm, you’re so cute playing with yourself like that. Such a little tawtute.”
Neteyam grinned, getting more breathless the closer he was to cumming.
He wasn’t the only one.
“Spider, I’m c-close,” She whined, chest heaving up and down.
“M-Me too. Cum for me, pretty.” He grunted behind her, bouncing her faster.
She cried out in pleasure, walls squeezing his cock tightly when she came. Her juices dripped down his shaft while he painted her insides with his seed.
Just as he pulled out of her cunt, Neteyam positioned his cock right in front of her pussy, covering it with his glowing seed.
The two men groaned in pleasure while she was a whimpering mess, trying to calm down after cumming twice.
Spider affectionately caressed her arms and sides. Neteyam hungrily stared at her pussy that was now covered in all three their cum.
A chill ran down her spine when she heard a third voice.
“That was hot. I’m taking you next, mamas.” Lo’ak already had his tweng down, stroking his cock at the sight of her cream-covered pussy.

It seems I never posted this here, so…
You may, or may have not, stumbled across this video, but yeah… My Tumblr is kinda dead, so I thought it isn't that bad of an idea to drop this one here as well.
There are some notes in the description, so before you go attack me because I haven't added XX role to YY seiyuu, please read the description 👊😔
Some Tumblr exclusive notes under the cut ✨
youtube
Why Paradox Live?
Yeah, I know I said I was not posting about Paradox Live anymore and considering the fact that the video was posted in October 2023, it seems pretty recent. However, I have been working on this video for AGES. I think that I will end up in somewhere in 2022(?) starting this video. I was still into Paradox Live and I had dreams to introduce people to it. Too bad that I'm a procrastinator… I mean, I could have chosen IDOLiSH7 as starting point as well, but Paradox Live had a bigger cast :)
My motivation to work on it
Guys, I'm not even kidding. I was planning to use Paradox Live to (hopefully) get some people into Argopro. The project had some difficulties and I wanted to pull people into it, so I did it in a very roundabout way. After all, not a lot of Paradox Live seiyuus are in Argopro like bro what am I even doing!? When starting with the roles of Kajiwara Gakuto (Allen's VA), there were barely any solos for Haruka (his role in Argopro). I remember downloading/ripping the audio of Orthros, because that song was barely introduced. Good old times.
What did I want to achieve with this video?
Guys, I'm just a girl who really likes sharing her interests and I'm a big fan of listening to music of several music projects because I think they are nice and they are different from other music if that makes any sense + you can listen to your favourite seiyuus!!! This was a video for my close friends because I always try to get them to listen to songs or to check out projects. This was merely a tool I used, I guess. My friends love me and I love them. In the end, it wasn't even needed because I post plenty enough on my insta story.
How I made the video
Bros, let me tell you. This was one hell of a dumpster fire of making this video. I'm not kidding. If you think you you can do it, go for it. I will never do it again.
I made the video on my phone. My phone has seen better days, y'all. I first made the template in Ibispaintx and after that I went into YouCut to put the audio over it. I absolutely hated it because you couldn't delete the files if you had the videos in draft (otherwise it will get corrupted which makes sense), but it took a lot of storage. I ended up saving them seperately per character, but the pain I had to go through everytime I made a mistake was painful.
This video is like 22 minutes long, but it took me nearly 2 years to finish it ( •̥ࡇ•̥ )
A little extra for you all <3
I still have the very first version of this video, so I thought, I might as well upload it for others to check out how ewww it kinda is, lmao. It was such a rough draft, but you can't have it all, right? Here is the link (the video is still unlisted, so you won't find it online if you don't have the link).
Another extra, which are the Paradox Live edits (this is a link to my Amino post, so yeah, it's a hell hole ngl) I did 4 years ago. I wanted to use one of them as my thumbnail actually, but I decided not too because people may not be used to that and thus may consider it over the top…

Addison was standing in the kitchen waiting by the door and readying herself for the tell-tale sign that Elvis was awake. Four days. They had barely seen each other in four days, let alone spoken to one another. They were like passing ships. Whilst she was out at school he was at home, mostly catching up on sleep, and when she came home he was gone, only coming back in the wee hours when he was sure she was going to be in bed. The only thing was she didn’t know why. The night at the Memphian he had assured her nothing was wrong yet his behaviour didn’t support that. He was an enigma, and she was frustrated trying to crack it.
In the first couple of days, she had figured he’d come around in his own time but as the week ticked on she feared that might not be the case. So, when Saturday morning had rolled around she’d put a plan into action. She was going to get him to talk to her no matter what. But just as she was listening out for sounds of him moving around in the bedroom Mary came bustling in with groceries in hand distracting her.
‘Oh, there you are,’ she said as Addison rushed to take a heavy sack out of her arms and put it on the counter, ‘my backs about to give out.’ ‘You shouldn’t be carrying stuff like that I’ve told you,’ Addison chastised. Mary chuckled and took a seat at the kitchen table, holding her back with a wince. ‘Ain’t no option,’ Mary said, ‘there’s no one else around.’ ‘What am I chopped liver?’ Addison said with a smirk. It felt odd to smile since over the past few days she hadn’t had much reason to. ‘You’ve got your own stuff,’ Mary said. ‘I still work here,’ Addison reasoned, she stopped unpacking things and turned to lean on the counter only to find Mary watching her with a motherly gaze. Addison dropped hers and turned back to start unpacking things, suddenly realising why she hadn’t bothered her. People were still treating her with kid gloves.
‘How’re you doing sweetheart?’ Mary said from behind her, ‘you haven’t seemed yourself this week.’ ‘I’m fine,’ Addison said moving around the kitchen with various items so she didn’t have to meet the older woman’s eye. It was partly the truth. She had been doing just fine after her mother when she had Elvis by her side though without him was a different story. ‘No one would blame you if you weren’t doing so hot,’ Mary said. ‘I know. I guess we all pretend like we can manage more than we can huh?’ Addison said looking at her friend pointedly which made Mary smirk. ‘Hey now, I raised four young uns’. A baby on each hip and the others hanging off where they could. I can carry a couple of bags of groceries,’ Mary chuckled. ‘The way you’re gripping your back would beg to differ,’ Addison said pushing the older woman’s shoulder as she tried to get up, ‘you stay, I’ll grab the others from the car.’
Addison left the kitchen and headed out to the garage to get the other bags of groceries off the back seat but when she re-entered she heard movement moving faster than a speeding bullet down the stairs. ‘Jeez those boys fly about this house like the road runner,’ Mary said standing up and moving to unpack the bags Addison had laid on the counter. Addison didn’t stay put though, instead, she flew out of the kitchen and into the main hallway looking around for the culprit. By the time she got to the bottom of the stairs though there was no one there. ‘They’ve gone out,’ said a voice behind her making her turn around to find Dodger coming out of the dining room. ‘Elvis, I, I thought he was in bed,’ Addison said. ‘Well, he was until about ten minutes or so ago. Red came and picked him up and they just left. Did you need something, honey?’ Dodger said watching her kindly. Addison sighed and shook her head, ‘no, I’m okay.’ ‘Okay sweetheart,’ Dodger said, ‘you know I’m thinking about going to bingo today if you want to join me. I mean it’s church bingo so it’s vicious as hell but you never know. It might be quite fun.’ ‘Uh, I can’t…homework and stuff. Last weekend got me a little behind,’ Addison said feeling guilty as she clocked Dodger’s disappointed expression. ‘Not to worry,’ Dodger said patting her on the shoulder tenderly, ‘rain check.’
As Dodger toddled off into the living room Addison stood on the spot, glancing up the stairs and then to the door. She didn’t want to go back into the kitchen and talk to Mary. She didn’t want to go to bingo with Dodger and pretend like everything was okay. She wanted Elvis to talk to her. She wanted to be wherever he was, enjoying themselves as they had been last weekend, but that wasn’t going to happen any time soon she feared. So, without thinking she grabbed the keys to the Lincoln from the hook by the door and headed to the car.
She was out of the gates of Graceland, passing the expectant fans without engaging, before she realised she didn’t know where she was going. She had no plan. No clue of what she should be doing given her only plans for the day had been usurped. She drove around for a while, passing through the suburban and later on industrial views of Memphis before she decided on where to go then she looped back on herself and eventually pulled up outside Marci’s. She parked up quickly and headed to the door knocking gently. There was a lull before she heard movement inside and then finally the door opened revealing Marci.
‘Addie,’ she said with surprise, ‘I didn’t know you were coming over.’ ‘Me either,’ Addison said feeling a lump forming in her throat. She opened her mouth, trying to suppress the tears from forming and falling though it wasn’t much help. ‘Is everything okay?’ Marci said. Addison shook her head. ‘No,’ she said finally starting to cry. Marci sighed and opened her arms, pulling her now sobbing friend into the house and closing the door behind her. She steered the pair of them through the house until they were at her room and once Addison was transferred onto the bed she sat down beside her throwing an arm around her and allowing her to get out everything that had been building over the past week if not months. As Addison’s crying started to subside she pulled out of her friend’s arms. Her breathing was shaky and her eyes red and raw but in spite of that, she felt better. Marci watched her closely feeling heartbroken for her best friend.
‘Sorry,’ Addison said with a sniffle as Marci offered her a tissue. ‘Don’t be,’ Marci said with a soft smile. ‘I don’t know what happened,’ Addison said with a shaky breath. ‘It’s been a lot it’s okay to feel a little overwhelmed…is he still not talking to you?’ Marci said with a frown. Addison shook her head, ‘he won’t even be in the same room with me. Any time we have been he’s put at least four people between us so we can’t talk. I don’t know what it is. I don’t know what I’ve done. I thought maybe I’d read into things too much. Maybe he got spooked because he doesn’t feel like that for me.’ ‘Addie I’ve seen the way he looks at you. That can’t be it,’ Marci said. ‘But there’s nothing else I can think of!’ she said exasperatedly before looking at her friend apologetically, ‘I’m sorry, I’m just so confused.’ ‘That’s understandable,’ Marci said. ‘I just don’t know what to do,’ Addison grumbled throwing herself back so she was propped up against Marci’s bedroom wall from the shoulders only. Marci shifted back too but so that she was sitting up against the wall looking down at her friend. ‘Well talking’s out,’ she said, ‘maybe it’s time for action.’ ‘I tried that,’ she said thinking back to that first day back from the tour when she’d cornered him at the Memphian hoping he’d tell her what was wrong. ‘I don’t mean forcing him to talk to you,’ Marci said. ‘Then what?’ Addison said peering up at her friend with questioning eyes. ‘Maybe he’ll see sense if he sees you with someone else,’ Marci said with a cheeky glint in her eye. ‘Date someone else?’ Addison said pushing herself up. ‘Why not? He’ll see he’s being ridiculous I bet it!’ Marci said. ‘I don’t know Mar, I mean play with another guy like that? It’s not exactly fair is it,’ she said biting her lip. Marci’s smile faded and then she nodded, ‘yeah I suppose you’re right but I’m telling you Addie, that boy loves you whether he wants to admit it or not.’ ‘I wish I could believe that,’ Addison said morosely. Marci frowned and pulled her friend into a one-armed hug.
‘Well how about we don’t believe it then. How about we don’t even think about it?’ Marci said. ‘And how do you suppose we do that?’ Addison challenged quirking her eyebrow. ‘Well we can hang out here, have dinner and then Jer said he wanted to take me roller skating,’ Marci said, ‘you can come too.’ ‘Oh yeah spend the evening as your third wheel. Every girl’s dream,’ she said sarcastically. ‘Not a third wheel!’ Marci protested, ‘we can invite Steve and I promise not to leave you high and dry.’ ‘You’re sure?’ Addison sniffled. ‘Of course. It’ll be a lot of fun,’ Marci said, ‘and besides, I need more than Jer to keep me upright on that rink.’ ‘Now I have to come,’ Addison said with the first smile she had felt was genuine all day.
✵✵✵
The rink wasn’t super busy when they got there much to Addison’s surprise. Given that it was a Saturday night she was sure it would be packed with high school kids but there were hardly any around. In fact, as she neared the reception desk with her group she noticed that they were probably the youngest in there and everyone else looked mightily familiar. That was when she spotted him. Elvis.
He was sitting on one of the tables at the side of the rink, lacing his boots up with friends around him all laughing and joking. Most of his entourage was dotted about, some of them getting refreshments whilst others had already taken to the rink. Whilst Jerry and Steve stepped up to request skates for them all Addison yanked on her friend’s sleeve making her whip around to look at her.
‘I thought you said it was just the four of us!’ she hissed angrily. ‘I thought it was,’ Marci said though she rolled her eyes as Addison continued to look furious and disbelievingly at her, ‘okay fine! But if I had told you he was going to be here would you have come?’ ‘No,’ Addison said. ‘See!’ Marci sighed. ‘Because he obviously doesn’t want me here,’ she reasoned, ‘he didn’t even tell me the guys were going to the rink tonight.’ ‘Well that doesn’t mean you’re not allowed to be here,’ Marci said, ‘why not just enjoy yourself? He is.’
And before Addison could reply she swanned off behind Steve and Jerry towards the tables were everyone was getting ready for the rink. Addison followed going to sit down beside Marci on the bench next to the table Elvis was at. He glanced at her as she took off her shoes feeling a familiar ache in his core. It had been one he had been plagued with all week. Since he had pushed her away he had figured the best course of action was to keep her at arm’s length. Turns out that arm’s length hurt. A lot.
He had tried to keep his mind off of her but that in itself was hard. He spent little time in the house, only opting to be there whilst she was at school and by the time she got home he would be out doing anything and everything that would keep him distracted before he could creep in, assured that she would be in bed and unable to question him. The boys seemed to have gotten the message that he needed distracting which had been why they had suggested the rink tonight. And though he hadn’t felt like going he had figured it was a good way of keeping him away from her for a few more hours though now it seemed as though he needn’t have bothered.
Though he hadn’t told the boys outright not to invite her they seemed to get the gist that she wasn’t included in this week’s activities. He didn’t know how she’d gotten invited though as he saw she was with Marci and Jerry he figured he could guess. It wasn’t Jerry’s fault he supposed. After all Elvis did usually have a ‘more the merrier’ outlook when it came to activities like this. Still, it had been a shock to see her waltz in looking stunning as always.  He wondered how she was doing. He scooted off the bench until he was standing ending up closer to her than he had been all week. She wasn’t paying attention as she stood up almost going smack-bang into the middle of his chest. Her hazel eyes met his, looking surprised for a second before they came stormy and she looked away.
‘Sorry,’ she mumbled and with that, she turned back towards Marci. Elvis watched as they headed to the rink, following Jerry and Steve.
As she walked towards the rink Marci’s looped her arm through hers and offered her a kind smile. It was a nice gesture and yet Addison couldn’t help but be annoyed. At everything. At being tricked into coming. At being avoided. At the fact that even when she was right in front of him he still refused to speak to her. Irked at his lack of response she found herself leaving Marci with Jerry so she could at least attempt to get some of that tension out of her body. It turned out that anger was actually good at keeping her moving and the fact she had to focus on what she was doing was a good distraction and once she had warmed up she even found herself having fun. Whilst Marci struggled to get to grips with the skating, using Jerry as more of an anchor than a boyfriend, Addison decided to spend some time with Steve before she fell into the wider games being played on the rink. After a while, she had mostly put Elvis out of her mind which was good because he had spent most of the time out of her way.
He had been watching her though.  He couldn’t help himself. She seemed to be having a good time, which he was grateful for, but as she skated with Steve or raced Sonny he couldn’t help but feel a tiny bit dejected she wasn’t with him. He was by the side of the rink, taking a break and a sip of soda when she skated past, giggling as Sonny wrapped his arms around her and pulled her off the ground.
‘Get off me!’ Addison giggled. ‘Not until you admit I won,’ Sonny chuckled. ‘Not a chance,’ she said though a squeal followed it as he dropped her, her legs rolling in between his as she had become unaccustomed to the floor. She didn’t fall though as he had full control over her and pulled her upright, still not letting go as she protested. ‘Son stop it!’ she said as he spun her round to face him. ‘Did I win?’ he asked, raising an eyebrow. ‘Nope,’ she said, though her face changed as he went to lift her up again, ‘okay fine! But not on skill. It’s cos ya got those big ol’ man feet propelling ya down the rink.’ ‘Whatever helps you sleep at night sweetheart,’ Sonny chuckled, letting her go but following her as she skated towards her friends who were close by watching their little debacle with mirth.
Elvis however was not enjoying the show quite as much. Without a second thought, he threw his soda in the trash and headed back onto the rink, his friends that had come for a rest with him following quickly behind. As he reached the middle of the rink a new game popped into his head and he gestured for everyone to come close which people did sensing that a change of play was in the air until finally he was almost encircled by the entire group.
‘Ya good EP?’ Red asked. ‘Yeah, just thinkin’ tonight’s a little boring,’ he said, ‘I was thinking of switching it up a touch.’ ‘Do you wanna play crack the whip?’ Marty asked. ‘Nah, I was thinking more all across,’ Elvis said earning a murmur of agreement from the guys. It was a good game though it could get a little brutal. Something like tag but rougher as the boys always took it too far, tackling and corralling their prospective targets to the ground. Clothes had been torn, bruises formed, scratches inflicted and play fights galore. Elvis needed it as he was full of anger and nerves that he needed to get out somehow.
‘What’s all across?’ Marci asked with a concerned look on her face. ‘Sorta like tag,’ Marty said. ‘One guy stands in the middle of the rink and we have to get across without getting caught. If you are, you join him for the next round until it’s everyone against the last standing,’ Red said. ‘Sounds dangerous,’ she said. ‘Yeah maybe you should sit this one out babe,’ Jerry said immediately going bright red at the term of endearment that earned a couple of sniggers from the guys. Marci however nodded and allowed Jerry to help her skate off to the side of the rink. A couple of the girlfriends also took the chance to disperse which made all eyes fall on Addison who stayed put, the only girl left in the circle. ‘What?’ she asked when she noticed everyone staring. ‘You’re playing?’ Sonny asked. ‘Am I not allowed?’ she challenged making his words catch in his throat as he tried to reply. ‘It’s a dangerous game Addie,’ Red said instinctively taking over on Sonny’s behalf. ‘I’m fine with that,’ she shrugged. ‘Addie,’ Elvis sighed. ‘What is it boys only?’ she asked heatedly, clenching her jaw. ‘I didn’t say that,’ he said irately. ‘Good. Let’s get started then huh?’ she said with a tight smile before she skated off to the bottom end of the rink. Elvis sighed and looked at Red but sensing there was no point in arguing he just said, ‘start us off man.’
Red nodded and took his spot in the middle of the rink whilst the others skated to join Addison. Though as they lined up beside her she got a little concerned. They were huge compared to her and they had glee in their eyes at the idea of a tussle. She would be crushed if she got on the wrong side of them but she had to save face. If Elvis wanted to push her out she wasn’t going to let him without a fight or an explanation as to why. She couldn’t back out now. Fortunately, the first few rounds went smoothly. She got across the rink at breakneck speed as being smaller than the boys gave her an edge of being fast. It also helped that the boys were determined to take each other out meaning she was slightly overlooked until finally, it was just Elvis and Addison left standing by the edge of the rink.
‘You know you can back out now if you want,’ Elvis said with a smirk that Addison assumed was meant to be banter but she couldn’t warm to it. In fact, it irked her that he had the audacity to ignore her and then joke around like nothing had happened. She didn’t say anything but turned to look up the rink where the boys were discussing tactics for the next round. Elvis’ smile faded as Red called for their attention. By now the boys were spread out across the rink, leaving little room for either of them to be able to get through but Addison was determined. As Red shouted go she took off, heading for the outside as the boys headed towards Elvis. He was tall and slim making him quite agile on his skates as he dodged out of the way of most of them but Red was too fast and determined and soon enough his arms had wrapped around Elvis’ waist, dragging him off balance to the floor. Addison heard the clatter before she saw it and turned her head to make sure he was okay but as she turned back Alan was in front of her barging into her shoulder first and knocking her off balance and onto the floor where her head collided with the waxed wood with a thud.
Pain flowed through her as her head bounced off the floor. She could practically feel her brain rattle around inside her head as she lay on the ground disorientated. The bright lights above her and the solid wooden floor underneath her were the only things she could feel for a moment but then there were shouts and sounds of people coming towards her making her come around. A wave of wooziness washed through her as she tried to push herself up into a sitting position though it was swiftly taken over by searing pain in her ankle. She didn’t have a chance to take it in though as Sonny came into view kneeling down beside her with concern in his brown eyes.
‘Are you okay?’ he said, and she nodded feeling dizzy as she moved her head. ‘I’m sorry,’ Alan said, looking down at her with worry in his eyes as everyone skated towards them, finally having noticed the tumble she’d taken. ‘It’s fine,’ she winced though the way her ankle was screaming at her suggested it might not be. Elvis appeared in a flash and shoved him hard almost making him tumble over due to his skates. ‘What the hell was that?’ Elvis spat as Alan cowered back. ‘I’m sorry EP-’ ‘Sorry?! You could’ve put her in the hospital!’ he snapped his fists still grabbing Alan’s lapels. He was trying to push the other man away but Elvis’ knuckles were white as they held him. ‘I really am sorry,’ Alan said. ‘It was an accident,’ Addison snapped, catching his attention and making his hands fall from Alan as he dropped to her side, his hands hovering over every inch of her. ‘Are you okay?’ he said. ‘I’m fine,’ she said, pulling out of his grip as she tried to push herself up. ‘You could’ve been really hurt,’ he said worriedly. ‘Oh so you care all of a sudden?’ she snapped, making his eyes widen as guilt coursed through him. Her mouth clamped shut afterwards trying to keep any other words inside as she felt hushed whispers run around the room at her words. ‘Ads,’ murmured quietly but she turned away and looked towards Sonny. ‘Help me up?’ she asked. Sonny looked nervously at Elvis before he stood up to do as he was told and wrapped his arm around her waist so he could pull her up. Once she was tucked into his side, one ankle hanging limply between them as she supported herself by clinging tightly to Sonny, Elvis stood too. Everyone was watching them and for a moment he wished he could feel awkward about their tiff being so public but he didn’t care.
‘You got her?’ Red said, making Sonny nod. Elvis said nothing as she clung to him and watched Sonny assist her to the side of the rink, his arm wrapped tightly around her waist. Addison didn’t look at him. She couldn’t. She feared a week’s worth of anger would come spilling out of her if she did and that wasn’t what she wanted, not in front of so many people. Sonny manoeuvred her off the rink and onto a bench mumbling something about getting some ice as she adjusted herself. She could feel a large lump forming on her head which hurt as she ran her fingers over it though it wasn’t as bad as the pain in her ankle. She placed her leg up on the bench and worked her skate off, wincing as it dropped to the floor revealing her now swollen and red ankle to the air.
‘I mean us guys have had some war wounds in our time but that’s quite something,’ Sonny said as he reappeared at the back of the bench, handing her a bundle of ice before he moved around to sit down beside her, placing her ankle on his thigh. ‘What can I say I’m competitive,’ she sighed. ‘Yeah, I can see,’ he said, taking the ice off her and placing it on her ankle causing her to wince, ‘how’re you holding up?’ ‘I’m fine,’ she said though Sonny raised an eyebrow making her sigh, ‘hey, at least it got him to speak to me.’ ‘Ah,’ he said. ‘Sorry you probably don’t wanna hear about this stuff,’ she said, feeling her cheeks flame. She didn’t know what it was. After all, it had taken her a long time to admit her feelings to herself so talking about them so openly felt odd somehow but she felt more at ease with Sonny than with the others.
‘Nah it’s okay. I mean I figured something had gone down-’ ‘Why?’ she asked quickly, her brows knitting together. Sonny glanced around checking none of his friends were in earshot and then said, 'well last weekend…I was kinda thinking about asking you out.’ ‘What?’ she asked, a blush creeping onto her face. ‘Yeah and then I saw the pair of you and I figured I better not.’ ‘Am I that obvious?’ she groaned, flopping her head back against the bench as she felt embarrassment flood through her. ‘It wasn’t you I was talking about,’ Sonny said, glancing towards the rink. Addison scoffed, ‘what you don’t believe he does?’ ‘I want to,’ she said sadly, ‘but then he just abandons me for a week straight. I mean poor Marci’s probably had her head sent west with all my worrying.’ ‘He ain’t exactly been a bed of roses to deal with this week either,’ Sonny said, ‘I mean Red said he thought there was something up but he ain’t telling us. I thought you’d rejected him though that might have been wishful thinkin’.’ ‘Son,’ she said bashfully. ‘Hey can’t blame a guy for trying,’ he said placing his hand on her knee, ‘anyway it’s not as if I can complain. It’s not like I had a chance, is it?’ ‘No,’ she said sadly, ‘I guess not…not that there’s much point. He doesn’t even wanna be around me.’ ‘It isn’t because he doesn’t feel the same. I know it,’ Sonny said earnestly, ‘I think the pair of you just need to talk it out.’ ‘I can’t even get near him Son,’ she said, ‘he’s been dodging me for days. It took having my head almost knocked off for him to say two words to me.’ ‘Maybe I should take ya outside. We can run into traffic it might make him come around,’ Sonny chuckled making her smile. ‘You sound like Marci,’ she giggled. ‘Oh yeah lemme guess the new love birds are experts on all matters of the heart now?’ he said looking over to where Marci and Jerry stood on either side of the barrier making out passionately. ‘They know everything now don’t you know,’ she chuckled.
‘So come on what’s her hot take on it?’ Sonny asked looking back at Addison. 'That I need to show him what he’s missing,’ she chuckled, 'make him jealous.’ 'Maybe she’s right,’ Sonny said with a flirtatious smile as he added, 'hey, I ain’t doing anything.’ 'Son,’ she groaned. ‘Oh come on,’ he said, ‘I get a pretty date and you get to make him jealous. Win-win.’ ‘Except I’d be using you,’ she said, ‘not exactly fair, is it?’ ‘It is if I go into it eyes wide open,’ he countered but Addison rolled her eyes, ‘nah I’m kidding. I mean if ya wanna I will.’ ‘I just wouldn’t feel happy using you like that,’ she said placing her hand on his toned bicep. He glanced at it and then nodded, taking it off his arm and kissing her fingers gently. ‘Like I said I never stood a chance,’ he said with a sad smile. Addison said nothing, she didn’t know what to say in this situation but thankfully he didn’t seem to take it too badly. He made an excuse after that about getting some more sodas and pushed her leg gently off his thigh before heading towards the refreshment stand leaving her sitting alone on the bench which she placed her head against with a sigh, not knowing that there was another broken-hearted boy watching her just across the rink.
✵✵✵
The following morning when Addison awoke she was uncomfortable. Her head was throbbing and her ankle felt heavy and swollen but even without the physical pain, she wasn’t doing too well in any other aspect. She was a mess. She was a mixture of anger and sadness. She longed to know what was going on with Elvis and her but she also wanted to scream at him, to tell him she was over being messed around and that she would be okay on her own. Though she knew that wasn’t true. Everyone else in her life had left her and yet the thought of losing him nearly incapacitated her. She had spent too much time denying it that as she awoke on that Sunday morning it was blatantly obvious. She was in love with him.
With a sigh she pushed herself up and climbed out of bed, wincing as her foot hit the ground making her ankle throb. As she padded through to the kitchen she found Dodger sitting eating breakfast and chatting with Mary. She greeted them both and then headed to the cupboard to make herself some cereal. As she poured her Cheerios into the bowl she heard her name called.
‘Huh?’ she said turning around to find both women watching her evidently having included her in a conversation she had been paying no attention to. ‘I said it looks like you found something more violent than church bingo huh?’ Dodger said as she gestured to her ankle which had turned a nasty shade of purple. ‘Oh yeah,’ she said, coming to take a seat at the table. ‘Elvis said you took a tumble,’ Mary said, ‘wanted me to check on you this morning at stupid o’clock.’ ‘He did?’ Addison said, looking at Mary who nodded. 'Yeah, I told him if you’d hurt yourself you’d need all the rest you could get,’ Mary said. Addison nodded and dropped her gaze to her bowl, feeling a little soothed at his request. They had come back separately last night. Since she had become incapacitated Sonny had borrowed the Lincoln dropping her, Steve, Marci, and Jerry off on his way home. Elvis had stayed at the rink. ‘Were those boys being too rough again?’ Dodger said, shaking her head, ‘you should’ve left them to it, they don’t know how to take it easy.’ ‘I’m fine,’ Addison said. ‘Well, you should spend the day recovering anyhow. Make sure you’re okay to be up on that ankle,’ Dodger said, placing her hand on the back of Addison’s. ‘I don’t see how that’s an option,’ Mary said, making Addison look at her as she continued explaining, ‘Mrs Presley asked if you could pop into town and run some errands. I would but I heard they’re playing football in the park today which means I’m not gonna be able to leave this kitchen any time soon.’ ‘It’s fine,’ Addison said though she felt a little dejected that even after last night she was still being excluded. ‘Don’t be overdoing it now though,’ Dodger said. ‘I won’t,’ Addison said, cramming down a few scoops of her breakfast before she moved to wash up her bowl, not feeling very hungry all of a sudden as she excused herself back to her room.
As she showered and dressed she tried to think of anything other than the past couple of days. It was getting her nowhere. She had tried action and that had failed. She had tried being sad about it and it only made her feel worse. She had tried getting angry and that hadn’t proved successful either. The only other option was to go to the extreme Marci suggested but at the moment she wasn’t feeling that either. So instead, she got herself ready, grabbed the list of errands for her to run off the kitchen counter and headed out into Memphis to try and distract herself. Fortunately, Gladys was quite good at distracting her. Her day started off at the dry cleaners for a mass pick up of what seemed to be Elvis’ entire wardrobe. Following that she had to go to the store to collect the monthly order of sodas for the basement which she managed to talk the boss’s son into lugging to her car for her given the state of her ankle. Finally, her outing was rounded off by a quick visit to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription for Gladys. By the time she got back, the Cadillac she had borrowed was piled high with items which she didn’t have the energy to haul into the house. Luckily, Gladys was in a good mood once she was presented with her bag from the pharmacy and told not to worry about stocking the basement as she would get one of the boys to do it later and that all she needed to do was put Elvis’ dry cleaning in his closet. Which is how Addison came to be standing at the bottom of the stairs with it in hand. She had done so well not thinking about her feelings that now she was flooded with nothing but thoughts of him.
‘Just do it you coward,’ her mind whispered before it reminded her, ‘he’s not even home.’
Her brain was right. All she had to do was go upstairs and slot his clothes into his closet like she had done a hundred times before. And it wasn’t as though he was going to see her after all he was out at the park. So, she headed upstairs to his room and pushed the door open gently. It swung open revealing a darkened room to her. She didn’t bother turning on the light as the low winter sun outside was enough to light her path to his closet. She pulled the door open and ripped the protective plastic off of his neatly pressed suits before slotting them onto the rail, shutting the door and tossing the wrapper in his trash can. As she turned to leave however the bathroom door slid open and Elvis came walking out his face becoming surprised when he spotted her there.
‘Oh,’ he said dolefully, making an ache wrench in Addison’s gut, ‘I thought it was Red.’ ‘Nope just me,’ she said tersely as the ache turned to anger as it had done last night. She strutted towards the door with rage bubbling inside her. She needed to get out of there. Elvis watched her go with anguish. This should be what he wanted. It was better when she was angry at him because it made her want to keep her distance which was what he was aiming for, but it hurt like hell, and as her hand hit the door handle he couldn’t help himself from speaking, stopping her in her tracks.
‘How are you?’ he asked, making her whip around with a look of disbelief on her face. Fearing he was going to get both barrels he continued quickly, ‘I mean that was a pretty nasty fall you took last night.’ ‘I’m fine,’ she said curtly, though he could tell she had softened if only a little. ‘You could’ve been really hurt,’ he said. It was true. When he’d seen her limp on the floor he’d been flooded with terror and then anger at Alan for being so careless. He’d only calmed when she’d had the energy to snap at him. It wasn’t ideal but if she was well enough to bite his head off it meant she wasn’t on death’s door. ‘Yeah well like I said I’m fine,’ she said, ‘you don’t have to worry about me.’ ‘I always worry about you. I’m glad you’re okay,’ he said. Addison fought the urge to bite back like she wanted to. She wanted to scream at him that his actions didn’t support that idea…but she couldn’t. There was no point. Sadness had gotten her nowhere and anger hadn’t done anything either. Which is why her words tumbled out of her mouth before she could stop them.
‘Lucky I Sonny there to help huh?’ she said, making his gaze fall on her. It was a last-ditch attempt at getting some reaction from him and she watched as his jaw clenched for a split second before he turned his face neutral. ‘Yeah he’s a real sweetheart,’ he said sarcastically, turning away and walking towards his dresser, keeping his eyes off her. Addison couldn’t stop herself. ‘Yeah he is… in fact he asked me out,’ she said. That caught his attention but he didn’t turn around. ‘He did?’ he asked, trying to sound casual. ‘Yeah,’ she said. ‘What did you say?’ he asked though he didn’t know if he wanted to hear her response. ‘I said I’d think about it,’ she said. He turned back towards her and found her watching him closely, ‘I mean I didn’t exactly know what the rules were.’ ‘Rules?’ Elvis asked. ‘I mean the whole fraternizing thing,’ she said, ‘you don’t have a problem with that right?’ ‘Sonny’s a good guy. You could do worse,’ Elvis said. He knew it wasn’t a proper answer but it was the best he could give. ‘Yeah, he is,’ she said curtly, ‘s’pose I better put him out of his misery then huh?’ ‘S’pose,’ he murmured, turning back so he was looking at himself in the dresser mirror. He waited for a response but none came and when he looked back he found she was gone, the door left open in her wake. Elvis sighed and flopped down on his bed. He had to give himself credit. When he put his mind to something he was good at it. Not only had he managed to keep her at arm’s length he’d also managed to push her into the arms of another man.
✵✵✵
Addison didn’t know what she was doing. In fact, she hadn’t known what she was doing since this afternoon. The whole day seemed to be chalked full of stupid decisions leading her to be standing at the side of the road looking under the hood of the Cadillac as if it was going to fix itself the longer she stared at it. After Elvis and her had shared a terse word she had locked herself in her room more confused than ever. She had baited him with Sonny and it had backfired which worried her even more. Maybe she had been right all along. Maybe he didn’t like her and he was just too chicken to tell her to her face.
So, in order not to seem like a pathetic loser she had gone through the motions of prepping for a date. She hadn’t asked Sonny to go out with her, her feelings about leading him on not having changed, but she had put on her nicest dress and done her makeup as if that was the case. When she had emerged from her room Gladys had raised an eyebrow at her attire and asked her if she was staying in for dinner which Addison had responded to with a wishy-washy response of having plans. She didn’t specify what they were and instead grabbed the keys to the Caddy and headed out the door.
She’d driven around for a while, grabbing a bite to eat before heading back into the cold bitter wind of the night until she was forced to pull over by the side of the road as the hood of the car started smoking. It died down quickly, but she popped the hood anyway trying to see if there was any obvious fault she could fix by herself given that she was quite far from home and the prospect of walking there on her still very tender ankle was not very appealing. Unfortunately there hadn’t been anything she could do and so begrudgingly she walked to the nearest phone box and called the house. Thankfully it was Vernon who answered and when she asked if he could get one of the boys to come and pick her up he’d agreed. She was resting on the hood of the car when the dorado pulled up in front of her and she headed to the passenger side and opened the door to climb in but before she did she noticed who was sitting in the front seat. Elvis.
‘What are you doing here?’ she asked, feeling embarrassment flood through her. ‘Funny way to thank someone for a ride,’ he said quickly, making her embarrassment turn to irritation. ‘I asked your daddy to ask one of the boys,’ she said. ‘And he asked me,’ Elvis said, ‘now are you gonna stand there all night or are you gonna get in?’
Addison looked at him. His blue eyes were watching her closely and though he was dressed simply, in just a pair of slacks and a jumper, he looked gorgeous. Maddeningly so. Feeling she had no other choice she climbed inside and folded her arms across her chest looking out the window as Elvis started the car. They drove in silence for a couple of minutes with Elvis glancing at her often wondering what to say. Eventually, it was too much to bear and he pulled off down a side street and parked, cutting the engine which forced her to look at him. He sighed and tilted himself in his seat.
‘So are you gonna tell me what happened or not?’ he asked. ‘The car broke down,’ she shrugged. ‘I meant why were you out on your own at night? And don’t give me any cock and bull story about some date cause if you were out with Sonny he would never have you out on the streets of Memphis alone,’ he said. ‘I wasn’t with Sonny,’ she said. ‘Then where were you?’ he asked, making her snort, ‘what?’ ‘Nothing,’ she said bitterly, fiddling with a piece of lint on her sleeve. Elvis clenched his jaw feeling himself being baited into an argument but he couldn’t stop himself from responding. ‘No come on,’ he said cockily, ‘share with the class.’ ‘I just think it’s funny how you disappear on me for a week but I’m just expected to tell you every little thing I do? Bit rich don’t you think?’ ‘Addie,’ he said but she stopped him. She turned to face him, her face thunderous as she said, ‘no. You know what no. You don’t get to talk. You don’t get to ignore me for a whole damn week and then come back and expect me to fall into line. I’ve had enough of that for a goddamn lifetime.’
Elvis stayed silent throughout taking the hits as they came, unable to cope with how heartbroken he felt at the anguish on her face, ‘I thought you were someone who wouldn’t mess me around. The only person in my whole life who I could rely on and you’re still acting the same as everyone else.’ ‘I have my reasons,’ he said trying to defend himself but she rolled her eyes. ‘But they don’t mean anything if you won’t tell me what they are! Don’t you see that?’ she asked incredulously, ‘hell my mother had reasons.’ ‘I am not Mona,’ he scoffed. ‘Well you’re not acting any better,’ she challenged, ‘I mean if anything it’s worse. At least I didn’t feel-’
Addison fell silent, her mouth snapping shut as she looked away from him with a scowl. Elvis felt a curious smile appear on his face.
‘Feel what?’ he asked quietly. Her hazel eyes fell on him for a moment wide and anxious as she contemplated what she would say. ‘Are you really going to make me say it?’ she asked, Elvis said nothing but he continued to look at her expectantly making her sigh, ‘fine. I don’t care about my mom messing me around because I don’t love her. Not the way I love you and after last weekend I thought you actually felt the same but I guess I was wrong.’ ‘You’re not wrong,’ he said, ‘not at all.’ ‘Then why push me away?’ she asked. ‘Because it’s not as simple as that Addie,’ he sighed, ‘I’m trying to protect you.’ ‘I don’t need protecting,’ she protested, a little shriller than she intended to sound. ‘I know you don’t think that,’ he said, 'but I have to try. Dating me isn’t easy. Believe me, I know. You’re young. You’ve been through enough and I don’t want to add any more to it. Touring, fans, the press it’s a lot to handle.’ ‘Don’t I get a say in what I can handle?’ she said looking at him. Elvis wavered for a moment as she moved towards him, her hand resting gently on his cheek for just a second.
‘Addie,’ he said, his blue eyes full of sadness. ‘If you don’t want this then fine. I can deal with that and I’ll get over it, but if you’re holding back just because you think I can’t cope then I refuse to let you. I’m strong Elvis. Stronger than most.’ ‘Don’t you think I know that?’ he asked. ‘So why not give us a chance?’ she asked earnestly. ‘I want to. You don’t know how much I want to. Ever since I saw you at that goddamn fair all I could think about was you. I love you Addison, but I don’t want to be the reason you get hurt.’ ‘But you’re already hurting me! Don’t you see that? I’m not saying it’ll be perfect; I mean when has anything in my life ever been,’ she said with a wry smile that made him smirk softly, ‘but don’t you wanna find out? I mean what if it is? What if-’
And then she couldn’t speak because Elvis’ lips were on hers. She was stunned for a moment before she melted into it, allowing him to kiss her deeply and pull her onto his lap. When they finally broke apart they were breathless but smiley. Elvis placed his forehead against hers as her fingers fiddled with the neckline of his sweater. Neither of them spoke for a moment, too wrapped up in each other.
‘You were right,’ Elvis said eventually. ‘Huh?’ she replied still lost in the moment to catch her train of thought. ‘That was pretty damn perfect,’ he said with a smile as she pulled back. ‘Worth the wait?’ she asked with a giggle. It was hard for her to believe her day had been chalked full of heartache when at that moment she felt as though she could burst with happiness. ‘Wish we’d been doing it a whole lot longer,’ he said earnestly. Addison giggled but then her face fell a little as she felt worry creeping in, Elvis frowned, his eyebrows knitting together as he asked, ‘what?’ ‘You’re saying yes right?’ she said, ‘I mean this, us, you’re giving it a chance.’ ‘You couldn’t tell by that?’ he joked, ‘are my kissing skills that rusty?’ ‘Elvis,’ she chastised, smacking him gently on his chest though as her hand bounced back he grabbed it and placed it to his lips, kissing it gently. ‘Yes Addie I’m giving us a chance,’ he said, making her smile, ‘besides I don’t think I have a choice now.’ ‘Why?’ she asked, confused. ‘Because I know what I’d be missing,’ he smiled and then he leaned up once more to kiss her.

Hello Orenjideul! It's my 1st anniversary as a writer! It has been a very delightful year for me and sincere thank you all for that! From the pleasing comments, reblogs, likes and support from my fluffy and angsty fics, I thank y'all! Hoping for another interesting year for writing ahead!
Also, I'll be sharing the possible plans I have for this writerversary month so let's go!
---
Tumblr media
---
Maybe I'll write for more idols from different girl groups and it's mostly maybe oneshots are more.
My time to write is really scuffed and so is my writer juice but I'll do my best to put out something in the table as long as I can.
Maybe will be more active and maybe do AMA's in the near future if I really feel so.
May or may not continue my series as my juice to wrote for those series are actually fading. Sorry for those drafts that are dusting xD
Maybe doing some connecting fics with my past fics or something idk ehehe.
And for the last one...
I may consider writing another genre in the future. iykyk smirks ;)
---
Maybe some quick statistics from the past year!
I had released 22 fics!
I posted 434 times!
I currently have 1,159 followers!
I currently liked 2,674 posts!

Sonic & Knuckles Alternate - Miscellaneous Themes/ Jingles (Pt. 1)
So I'm working on an alternate soundtrack for Sonic & Knuckles, in a similar fashion to Leila Wilson (a.k.a. Woofle)'s Sonic 3 Alternate, and what I planned to write includes writing new jingles. I figured it'd be nice to make some documentation here, showcasing drafts and versions of jingles that I wrote. I dunno if I'm re-blogging this to make a re-blog thread though, 'cause honestly that'd be kind of a pain to read through, given how lengthy I usually am in writing like this.
Without further ado, I present to you the jingles (and their drafts) that I've written so far. These may or may not change in the future. Feel free to give me any thoughts.
Title Theme
The first jingle I wrote.
My compositions are different dependent on what music I've been listening to recently, and around this time I was trying to find inspirations through Yousuke Yasui's work, particularly in Mamorukun Curse!; a downwards perspective shoot-'em-up. My earliest inspirations in music was listening to a lot of Yousuke Yasui and other shmup music (and also Toby Fox but that's not important atm), and I obviously can't escape it.
Here is an obvious nod to Bless you! boy (or Bless you! girl but that's obviously rewritten in minor key), and at one point I even changed the drum samples to what Yasui uses. Though, after making it I didn't exactly find this to be favorable, especially since the melody was so cutesy. But at the same time, I thought that it was a pretty good foundation to start, so I kept it.
This leads us to:
Version 2 has instrumentation closer to Sonic & Knuckles', as well as a little Naofumi Hataya influence in it. This also has a decreased tempo compared to Version 1, which made me like it more. Overall, the volume mixing has more polish to it, and fits the tone of the original a liiiittle better. Just a little.
Invincibility
The second theme I wrote.
My plans were that I carry the same motif to the other jingles that had the same, just like what Sonic & Knuckles did with its title theme, invincibility theme, and 1-up jingle. The next few jingles have a heavy Virtua Racing Deluxe influence, partly because of the SHC '22 ROM hack Sonic & Johnny and partly because "racing" is also part of the Sonic experience, so in a way this is kinda clever.
While it's decent, this version of the invincibility theme felt like it was going too fast, which I didn't like one bit, and it barely fit the 20 second period of invincibility. I was making the decision on whether I flesh it out more or make a new track instead, and I ultimately decided to do the latter.
I just rewrote this one today. It obviously is yet another homage to Takenobu Mitsuyoshi's Lap 3 from Virtua Racing Deluxe. idk about you but personally I like making references here and there in my music (unless if I was coincidentally capable of writing original music one day). This actually came out better than I expected.
The loop is a bit awkward since 1) I don't usually come by invincibility monitors in the game so I thought it wasn't too important to loop to the beginning and; 2) because I don't suck at the game so I don't particularly need invincibility either way, but at least I tried.
I intend to carry the influence of Virtua Racing Deluxe into other jingles as well.
1-Up
The third jingle I wrote.
Initially I thought I'd go with a more traditional styled 1-up jingle; a more orchestral focused one before I made the decision to take on the Virtua Racing Deluxe influence. I decided to give this a Rocket Knight Adventures feel but I felt it was out of place with the other jingles (so far). I of course, reworked it.
This takes influence from Takenobu Mitsuyoshi's Select B.G.M., notably heard in Sonic Megamix V3(~V4 I think?). No extra comments here.
All tracks are made with tildearrow's furnace tracker.

If it is possible, can you tell us more about James Jr (the brother of ham sr) ?
Knowledge about James's life is very scant, and there is little to say.
James Hamilton Jr was born sometime in 1753, having been named after his father, James Hamilton. Four or two years later, James's younger brother, Alexander Hamilton, was born on the 11th of January. Rachel inherited a property in the capital Charlestown, and also three enslaved servants from her mother who were; Rebecca, Flora, and Esther, one of them had a son named Ajax. He was assigned to care for James Jr and his brother.
February 19, 1768, his mother died from Yellow Fever. The town judge supplied both James Jr and Hamilton some shoes and veils for their mother's funeral. James Jr and his brother had to wait as the court struggled to settle the complicated decision of what to do with Rachel's property, children, and debts.
“The court decided that it had to consider three possible heirs: Peter Lavien, whose father had divorced Rachel ‘for valid reasons (according to information obtained by the court) by the highest authority,’ and the illegitimate James and Alexander, the ‘obscene children born after the deceased person's divorce.’”
(source — Alexander Hamilton, by Ron Chernow)
After that, the two Hamilton boys were sent to live with their thirty-two year old cousin, Peter Lytton. Who was a less than an ideal caretaker, with his failed business investments, and his brother considered him “insane”.
(Tw; minor talk of suicide)
On July 16, 1769, Peter was found dead in his bed, soaked in a pool of his own blood. Court records deducted it was an act of suicide, and that Peter had either shot or stabbed himself. The Hamilton boys were left out of Peter's will, and instead focused on supplying Ledja - Peter's black mistress - and their mixed-race son. Then James Lytton, Peter's father and the boys' uncle, tried to assist the them when he heard of Peter's death. But he wasn't very successful due to more court complications that came alongside Peter's death. Yet, that same year in August, James Lytton had also died; and failed to mention his nephews in his will that was prepared five days beforehand.
After this, James and his younger brother were separated, and would never see the other again. James was then apprenticed by an aging Christiansted carpenter, Thomas McNobeny. Which was telling about his limited abilities. Most white folk shied away from crafts such as carpentry, where they had to compete with folks of mixed races, or even skilled slave labor. Chernow points out that if James shown any real promise or head for business; it is doubtful that he would have dropped so low as to resort to manual work. Being an awful contrast to his younger brother, who had begun to clerk for the mercantile house of Beekman and Cruger, the New York traders who had supplied his mother with provisions. It implies James Jr was the less educated of the two, or perhaps he was more brawny.
Not much can be said about James and his adult life. But his grown-up younger brother had gained contact with him sometime in 1785. Hamilton wrote to James Jr 2 months before James sent a letter to Hamilton, in which he described his poor conditions. Hamilton soon replied with another letter;
“New York, June 22, 1785.
My Dear Brother:
I have received your letter of the 31st of May last, which, and one other, are the only letters I have received from you in many years. I am a little surprised you did not receive one which I wrote to you about six months ago. The situation you describe yourself to be in gives me much pain, and nothing will make me happier than, as far as may be in my power, to contribute to your relief. I will cheerfully pay your draft upon me for fifty pounds sterling, whenever it shall appear. I wish it was in my power to desire you to enlarge the sum; but though my future prospects are of the most flattering kind my present engagements would render it inconvenient to me to advance you a larger sum. My affection for you, however, will not permit me to be inattentive to your welfare, and I hope time will prove to you that I feel all the sentiment of a brother. Let me only request of you to exert your industry for a year or two more where you are, and at the end of that time I promise myself to be able to [invite you to a more] comfortable settlement [in this Country. Allow me only to give you one caution, which is to avoid if possible getting in debt. Are you married or single? If the latter, it is my wish for many reasons it may be agreeable to you to continue in that state.
But what has become of our dear father? It is an age since I have heared] from him or of him, though I have written him several letters. Perhaps, alas! he is no more, and I shall not have the pleasing opportunity of contributing to render the close of his life more happy than the progress of it. My heart bleeds at the recollection of his misfortunes and embarrassments. Sometimes I flatter myself his brothers have extended their support to him, and that he now enjoys tranquillity and ease. At other times I fear he is suffering in indigence. I entreat you, if you can, to relieve me from my doubts, and let me know how or where he is, if alive, if dead, how and where he died. Should he be alive inform him of my inquiries, beg him to write to me, and tell him how ready I shall be to devote myself and all I have to his accommodation and happiness.
I do not advise your coming to this country at present, for the war has also put things out of order here, and people in your business find a subsistence difficult enough. My object will be, by-and-by, to get you settled on a farm.
Believe me always your affectionate friend and brother,
Alex. Hamilton”
(source — Alexander Hamilton to James Hamilton Jr, [June 22, 1785])
The brothers seemed to have shared longer correspondence, but only a fragment survives with this one letter. James seemed to have confined to his brother about a sort of pain he is in, wether emotional or physical isn't specified.
Despite their long distance through the many years, Hamilton is happy to send his brother cash to help himself with. Which seems to his way of promising James he still cares about him as his brother; “My affection for you, however, will not permit me to be inattentive to your welfare, and I hope time will prove to you that I feel all the sentiment of a brother.”
Hamilton was preparing for his brother to move to America with him, where there he would be able to better support his brother. Even teasingly telling him that if he wasn't yet married to wait so he could get himself an American wife.
It isn't known if James Jr was still in contact with his father or not, but Hamilton seems to think so. And considering later Hamilton himself got back in contact with their father, it isn't unlikely to assume James Jr had sooner.
The letter was apparently given to the National Intelligencer by a Hamilton family member;
“A member of the family of the late General Alexander Hamilton has handed us a copy of the subjoined letter from that distinguished soldier and statesman to his brother, which it is thought will possess interest for our readers.”
(source — Littell's Living Age, Volume 60)
Although interestingly enough, James Jr disappears from the St. Croix and Nevis records after 1786. Danish writer, Holger Utke Ramsing; found that the only Hamilton recorded to be living in St. Croix after 1786 was a “Madame Anna Hamilton,” and Ramsing presumed that was his childless widow. However, Mennonite records show that, in 1889, a Benjamin Franklin Hamilton was ordained as a bishop, and he is recorded to be the son of a nephew of Alexander Hamilton.
The Hamilton National Genealogical Society has a record of James Jr apparently marrying a Catherine or Courtney Bailey in Baltimore in 1796. And then dying there in 1835, almost 40 years after his assumed death date. Ramsing assumed James had died in 1786 due to his absence in the St. Croix property records, but that would not be true if Benjamin's lineage is accurate. Ramsing did publish his findings in 1939 — so it is plausible he overlooked or was not presented with American records due to old technologically, or distance constraints. If James migrated to Baltimore in 1786, it would explain his absence from St. Croix. It isn't definitively known if Anna Hamilton was even related to James or an unrelated woman with a shared surname. As it is also possible he was common-law married to Anna before abandoning her to go to the States, but there is, unfortunately, no way for us to know for certain. Additionally, Mitchell Hamilton argues that James Jr lived on several of the southern islands before he moved to St. Vincent sometime before June, 1793.
So overall, it is likely James Jr probably left the Carribean for America like Hamilton wanted around 1786. And then settled in Baltimore, where he married a Miss Bailey and the couple had some children. To which then they had children, one of whom became a Mennonite bishop. But not much else is known about him, and there are no mentions of Hamilton and James ever meeting in America.

Sorry for the late hour but here are some questions! For the ask thing!
I could've literally asked for all the questions to be answered but here's just a few. Please and thank u
54 / 40 (for no reason at all 🤫)/ 39 / 16
I am a cretura of the night, Andie! No worries about the late hour EVER lol ;)
40. If someone were to make fanart of your work, what fic or scene would you hope to see?
Oh I like this one! Let me think! Hmm! You know what's fun? Bullet points! And readmores which I will do. uh. now
Cold front hugs! Specifically the mindscape one in Chapter 6, and the pair of them leaning on one another on the way out of the pond @ the Springs in Chapter 23 of CS! Which yes, isn't a hug, but is a cute Cold Front moment
Winter grabbing Blaise's lapels in Chapter 11 while he has a whole ass crisis >:)
The fucking. (breaks window) Blinter: were those our kids? Jack: SCATTER scene lmaooooooo (from Chapter 22 of CS)
The twins doing one of these (see photo below) on the backyard deck stairs before asking Summer to play fire tag with them
Tumblr media
^like that, but like. on all fours. with Fino squashing Fiera lmao
Honestly there's so many scenes I'd love to get fanart of/draw/EXPERIENCE but those are the ones that pop into the head IMMEDIATELY! And that's just CS, AH!. The family photo from Jacqueline Dies pt2 would ALSO be a lovely fanart to see! I actually did a shit doodle of it last week just for funsies:
Tumblr media
My god it's so LONG. Sorry about that! anyway!
54. What’s your favourite part about the fanfiction writing process? Shoving an OC or two or five into the story and see how it goes >:). that and uploading a draft and reading it through one last time. That's exciting! I love that part! It's time consuming but I LOVE IT. It's like. THE ANTICIPATION
39. Share a snippet from a WIP
I should like. Assign these wips to numbers and start rolling dice about it. Um. OKAY! From smile shot wip "Believing is Seeing"
“Is it Grapes of Wrath?” “Yes! It actually was! Nice guess, Dite.” Dite and Xander lay on his dream cloud, just behind the chimney of Danielle’s house. Jacqueline snoozed still, curled up on Dite’s thigh. The goddess had lain back; her arms were behind her head as she gazed up at the sky, watching the clouds drift by. On the other side of the cloud, Xander lay on his back as well, one leg dangling, the other one bent at the knee as he read a book. “Alright, I got one. Two exes meet up again after a few years; shenanigans ensue, they still both have it bad for each other. Best slow burn I have ever read.” “Persuasion?” “Awh, you got it on the first go!” Xander laughed. “It’s supposed to be a misleading summary, Dite.” “I just really love Persuasion. It’s one of my favourite books! When Wentworth writes that letter? I just. Ugh,” Dite finished with a happy sigh. “It’s good.” There was a grumble between the two Legates; Dite perked up, sitting up gently. “Hi sleepy head,” she said with a grin. Jacqueline sat up, scrunching up her nose. “That was not four hours.” “Almost twelve, actually,” Xander said. “Dream sand may have had a hand in it.” Jacqueline scratched her neck and stretched her shoulders, shaking her freshly thawed hair off her face. “I didn’t melt all over you, did I?” “You did, but I don’t mind! It was just a little damp, no biggie.” “What’s the status?” “Quiet day,” Xander said, flipping his page. “They’ve stayed in for the most part. Left for errands a while ago, not back yet. Danielle’s still feeling hopeful, though.” “And she’s been meaning to text Charlie all day!” Dite said, chipper. “Can we get closer?” Jacqueline asked. “Why’d we move from the window?” “She ran to it right when she woke up and we were almost caught,” Xander said, flipping another page. “You snore.” “The fuck I do.” “You do,” Dite said. “But it’s cute snores! Like um, like every third breath is a snore.” “A honk sho or a mimimi?” “A weird cross between both.” Jacqueline looked thoughtful, then shrugged. “I can vibe with that. Side note, love that we can swear right now. Feels good, feels wholesome,” she said, hopping off of the cloud and onto the roof. “What are you doing?” Xander asked, putting down his book. “Getting closer! This one’s her room?” Xander nodded. “Quiet, though!” “I thought nobody was home?” “Her sister is.” “Alright, I can be quiet,” Jacqueline said, and, with a little hop, disappeared into thin air. “What is she doing?” Xander asked, trying to find her magical aura. Dite peered over the cloud with Xander. She surveyed the roof, then swatted Xander gently. “Right there, look; fast moving trail of frost headed down the drain pipe. She’s being sneaky,” Dite said with a grin. Xander chuckled. “Nice.” In the distance, car doors slammed and chatter met their ears. Danielle and her Mom had gotten back from their errands and were chatting up a storm. “Things are picking up again!” Dite said with an excited squeal. “We’re almost there, Xander!”
The summary of this one: Charlie tells Danielle about what his Dad REALLY does. Trouble in paradise has Dite on ALERT; determined, she hatches a lil plot and drags Jacqueline and Xander along for the ride. It's been fun to write! This trio of Legates is my fave lmao. They get into situations, and it's tripled when Charlie hangs with them!
16. How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Share one of them?
Honestly? Too many! If I had to count, excluding wips, it'd be uh....eight, I think 🤔🤔🤔
My favourite one right now is Diteline Valentine's Day featuring Diteline kiddos! Dite's working and Jacqueline gets the day off. There is a cuddle puddle after Dite leaves for work. The kids ask Jacquie about what Diteline used to do on VDays before kids. Jacquie tells them all about their romance and such and says that every day is VDay with the four of them for her! They decide they wanna do something nice for their moms despite Jacquie's reassurance. Shenanigans ensue!!! Robyn wears a blanket cloak! Eira/Bianca didn't sleep! Joy has been awake for hours bc Valentine's Day! It's a recipe for disaster!
thanks for sending these in 🥰🥰🥰

tauriaaaaaa!! 3, 7, 9, 12, 17, 22, 26, and 30 from the ao3 wrapped game pls <333
thank u maya!! <33
3. What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)?
okay!! so i have multiple answers for this one uwu
break me down, remake me -> this one took me almost the whole year to write and i stepped out of my comfort zone to do it. i do wish i had done some things differently, like maybe explored the nightmare more? but, overall, i am very very happy with this one! i think i may remix / do this concept over again tho <3
patience is a virtue (rewarded by sin) -> one of the few fics of mine i can reread and find no/very little issues with! it was written in 2 sittings, both of which after i just woke up xD
mouth full of white lies -> my first time writing smut that wasn't jaytim AND my first time writing sub tim. i'm also!! really pleased with dick's characterization in this
clove, smoke, and honey -> another fic where i stepped out of my comfort zone! i also didn't expect it to get as long as it did, OR to get as personally invested as i did. just. a surprise from beginning to end, and i'm just! so pleased with it
honorary mentioned to both packaged in red lace and ancient rituals <3
7. If you use song lyrics, which artist’s songs did you pull from the most?
i have posted 6 fics with lyrics for titles! all 5 of them have titles by different artists xD
however! i also have 2 fics in my drafts (both sequels) which use song lyrics (the same song as the fic they're a sequel to) so, if i count them.. isak danielson & troye sivan
9. Favorite pairing you wrote for this year?
not counting jaytim, hmm...
damitim, i think! but i also had a lot of fun with dicktim and jaydick. (and jaysteph, and jaydami was a lot more fun than i expected too!)
did i just list every pairing i've written for? ^^;
12. How many WIP’s do you have in your docs for next year?
i answered here for all the wips i have in google docs. but--sigh--if i open notion...
that's an additional 16
and that's only for full docs, not my little toggles for drabbles or the the ones i've planned out but haven't put in a new doc to start writing for
17. Your favorite character to write this year?
jason!
also damian~
22. Which work has the most comments?
you know just what i need, if we go in general. but, specifically for this year: ogling vs. situational awareness
26. What’s your most common category?
m/m, followed closely by gen.
30. Biggest surprise while writing this year?
how much i've been writing! esp these last couple of months <3
but in the actual writing itself...
i've been doing more povs from different characters, and i still think a lot of them are too same-y (i think my writing voice drowns out theirs lol) but! i have noticed some differences, which makes me happy :)

Thank you @arsi-lehkonen for tagging me! ❤️ Let me warn you tho, I don't even know if I have 2, 3 or 4 wips because I haven't touched them in weeks, and they're very crude fragments of rough drafts, saved all over the place, and just before seeing this tag I had thought of deleting them all. So, you kept them saved for another 12 hours.
Rules: share seven wip lines/parts.
I'll share longer parts under the cut for the reasons told above. If I decide to let these ideas go, at least I've posted some of it out there.
Smut heavy, be warned. Tried to pick tame bits.
1. "No, not whipped cream," Roope said when they were planning for the show. "Cupcake frosting will hold up so much better and we can take it slow. Cream gets runny."
"Should the frosting be pink?" Sebastian suggested. "It's a Valentine's day special after all."
Roope snorted out a short laughter and shook his head, letting it hang slightly tilted to the side and shooting a mildly amused look at Sebastian.
"No, man," he said like stating the obvious, "Pink will look like you had a nasty skin condition going on, and nobody will believe that I would put my mouth on your dick with it. You could as well suggest chocolate."
(From a sequel to money shot where Sepe is still a Brind'Amour boy and Roope is an onlyfans star and ig hottie, and they're shooting a live scene for Roope's OF. Ao3 draft set to be deleted next Friday)
2. "Do you want to be fucked into the dirt? Like a filthy little animal? Or do you want me to get you back into the house and in bed?"
Sebastian looks up at Brent, bites his lip and releases it slowly, licking the bit, red mark moist and clean.
"Yes."
(From a pwp piece where Sepe takes a trip to the ranch. This one is a Tumblr draft bc I'm afraid of Google docs. I'd have to research shooting to make any progress with this bc I'm not in the mood for writing porn and the scene needs a setting and some build-up anyway)
.--
3. Sebastian smiles as he greets him, and his eyes linger in Rod’s, the gaze smoldering enough to slow down time the same way Sebastian can do with a puck around the goal.
A languid blink, like the kid's lids were heavy from wet dreams, it's like a slow motion deke that takes out the goalie, leaving the net gaping, offering itself to be taken.
The little pink tongue slips out to wet Sebastian's bottom lip as he nods his greeting, "Hi, Roddy. How're you tonight?"
"Oh, I'm fine if you're fine. You're fine, right?"
"Sure. I'm fine. Prepared and hungry."
"Hungry sounds good."
Sebastian lets a rippling smile flash on his lips. He stops right by Rod’s side and brushes the sleeve of his jacket lightly with his knuckles.
"So hungry," he says, lowering his voice and locking his eyes in his coach's. "Starving." He pauses, further lowering his voice until it's a soft whisper. "Desperate."
(Coach x player smut, working title Game Day Suits might as well be the summary)
--
4. "You want to throw me in as a bait for Burnzie?" Sebastian chuckled and scratched the back of his head before sticking his tongue out from the corner of his mouth and running it over his upper lip. "Not gonna lie, that sounds hella hot."
(A super messy pwp that might be a gangbang or tons of tension or may just become a build-up for the ranch fic. Anyway, I found a pun in a Tumblr text post very inspiring and use it as a working title: call him jesus the way i make him bred and whine)
--
5. Pekka wakes up to a bunch of notifications on his phone screen: three missed video calls, two from Juuse, one from Sebastian. In addition to that, his inbox is flooded with video messages.
(All Stars '22 where S and Juuse promoted beverages, this is all I have written for the idea @hard4softthings gave me as an independent sequel to Summer Kisses)
--
6. Teemu wandered in wearing a patterned silk robe.
"Playboy night," Trevor said from the corner of his mouth.
Jamie would learn in a moment that Playboy night meant bunnies.
(From my eternity project where Mr Selanne hosts sex parties, pimping out young guys as treats for his friends and associates, this is probably the AU version)
7. “Of course. That's what they're here for. I keep a petting zoo, not an exhibition! It isn't look, don't touch. Whatever you can look, you can touch, too,” Teemu grins.
(From a later part of the prev draft)
--
If you read this far, thank you for your interest! As I said, these are this long for reasons.
Tagging @hard4softthings @isconnormcdavidok @aleksrothis and @thosedaysthatwill in case you have something you'd like to share!

Characters Out of Context Tag
Thanks @aninkwellofnectar for tagging me!
Rules: Include one character quote of your choosing from each chapter of your WIP (or as many chapters as you'd like). Give absolutely no context, save for what's between two parts of an interrupted sentence, should that occur. You may mention who said it.
I'll do this with RWR, since it's in a later draft than BBtS.
Chapter 1
"It's so fun listening to you guys bicker in Spanish while we're risking our lives. Let's hope we attract the aliens so they too can enjoy the show."
Chapter 2
"You don't have much choice. Either you help me find my brother, or I kill you here and now. I can find another one of you."
Chapter 3
"What part of "hurry up" did you not understand?"
Chapter 4
"You humans listen to music, right?"
Chapter 5
"Always so dramatic. If you're yelling at me, it means you're breathing perfectly."
Chapter 6
"I can't believe it. We found a deserter."
Chapter 7
"One, that's your problem. Two, I don't give a fuck. Three, you're not doing anything."
Chapter 8
"If you don't knock it off, I swear I'll gag you and tie you to a chair until I get back."
Chapter 9
"I never considered you a monster."
Chapter 10
"Usually, you say thank you when someone saves your life."
Chapter 11
"This is the mainland. Here is a bridge that we'll have to cross to reach one of the islands."
Chapter 12
"I don't need any friends. I have Cisco. And you."
Chapter 13
"They're not shooting. Why aren't they shooting?"
Chapter 14
"I know you're a kind person and you see good in others. It's one of the best parts of you. But it also makes you vulnerable, and that human is taking advantage of it for her own gain."
Chapter 15
"I heard the facilities on Mars and on Jupiter's satellites are finally functional."
Chapter 16
"Listen, you don't have to trust me. You just need to follow my instructions until we're safe."
Chapter 17
"Guess whose fault this is."
Chapter 18
"If they catch us because of my shoes, I swear I'll kill you."
Chapter 19
"This is the archive. The prisoners' data is all catalogued here. Assigned number, placement, age range, health status, that sort of thing."
Chapter 20
"You're in a cell, it can't get worse than that."
Chapter 21
"A mediocre soldier, a human with more arrongance than common sense and a tied-up prisoner against a general."
Chapter 22
"Maybe, if you slammed your head against a wall, you'd become smart."
Tagging @ink-fireplace-coffee, @cherrybombfangirlwrites and @italiangothicwriteblr.

I’m going on vacation!
I’m going camping deep in the bush for a week from July 15 to the 22!
Although the cabin I’ll be staying in is supposed to have wi-fi, I don’t expect it to be great... if it works at all. If you’re wondering why I’ve only been posting 3 times a day compared to my usual 7-8 posts per day... that’s why! I’m trying to have a decent amount of content to last me until the end of the month.
Of course that means I won’t be here to get hyped up about the High School pack with everyone... but you can bet your ass when I get back home and get through updating all of my mods again... I’m gonna be playing it! It’s actually a pack I’ll get to use for my BACC so that’s super exciting!
So here’s the deal when it comes to my three on-going stories/series. A lot of this will depend on factors out of my control, like EA fixing their bugs and how many mods break with the High School update.
MY BUILD A CITY CHALLENGE...
I have plenty of content to last me through the month so no worries there!
I won’t be playing any households with babies until the toddler glitch is fixed but I do have a few households I can play still once I get back from my vacation on the 22nd. Once I’m through all of those, if EA hasn’t fixed the bug, then I may have to take a short hiatus for this series.
I’m assuming they’ll have it fixed by then though! It should take me the whole summer to get through these 2-3 households after the Leprince-Flynn family.
MY EXTREME DECADES CHALLENGE...
Unfortunately, I’m completely out of posts for this one and it makes me soooo sad because I’ve been dying to play it again. We’ll be on hiatus until the toddler glitch is fixed. I can’t play with broken ass toddlers, sorry.
Until then please go check out @ivyandink‘s Dubois Decades (it’s already in chrono order for you!). It’s pretty similar to mine in terms of setting but edited WAY better and with a much more detailed storyline. I’m kind of obsessed... and it’s been keeping me going while I wait to play my Decades.
MY OCCULT SAVE FILE...
To be honest? Not sure about this one. If I keep going the way I’m going... I’ll probably burn myself out and stop playing it. It’s A LOT of work for one single post... I don’t know how all of those crazy storytelling simblrs do it constantly!!
I don’t think all of this posing is my cup of tea though. I will continue this save but it will be a bit less staged and a bit more gameplay-focused. I have a few more posts left in my drafts that I’ll queue up and then this save will be on hiatus for a little while until I figure out what kind of challenge/gameplay style I wanna do. Probably some kind of Rags to Riches meets Occult Legacy meets multiple families/rotational gameplay. We’ll see in August!
MOAR STUFF??? MAYBE??? WILL IT LEAD TO BURN OUT?? WE’LL SEE!
Knock on wood, but I feel like I’ve gotten pretty good at juggling multiple save files... which was a huge issue for me last year when I attempted it.
I know I have 3 things going on now, but I’ve been wanting to maybe start something new in August. Let me know if you have any challenges you’d like me to check out! I’m considering doing a modified version (aka harder and more long-term) of AussieCassPlays’ Island Challenge. I might also try a random legacy challenge or a LEPacy... those also seem really fun!
Soooo... yeah! I’m still gonna be around for another week but I will be slower at replying to DM’s, asks or WCIFs. I probably won’t be replying to anything at all from the 15th-22nd.
Happy simming!

Addison couldn’t move. As Elvis moved around the room looking for clothes they could both throw on she sat on the edge of the bed staring at the plush carpet under her feet. She felt like crying though she didn’t know why. It had always been the plan to tell them…eventually. They had both become tired of sneaking around and though she knew going public wasn’t going to be easy she had always assumed she could prepare for it. Lay the groundwork. Now it felt as though it was ripped from her. Whilst the Colonel might keep their romance out of the tabloids he would almost certainly tell everyone else. She wondered how Gladys and Vernon would take the news. After all, they had invited her into their home in an effort to help her and it seemed all she had done was cause unwanted drama.
When Elvis threw a dress beside her on the bed he finally noticed she was in a world of her own and moved to stand in front of her, breaking her trance. She looked up at him, her hazel eyes wide and worrisome which made his heart twinge.
‘Hey, hey, come on now it’s alright,’ he said with a reassuring smile. ‘Is it?’ she said looking away though he dropped down on his knees in front of her chasing her gaze until she looked at him. ‘Look the Colonel is just pissed I didn’t tell him,’ he said. ‘And what about everyone else?’ she asked, ‘they’re gonna be pissed too.’ ‘Maybe but they’ll get over it,’ he said, ‘besides this is what we wanted right? Out in the open, no more sneaking around.’ ‘I guess,’ she sighed, ‘I just wish it was on our terms y’know?’ ‘I know but it’s done now,’ Elvis said, ‘we just need to see how the land lays and go from there.’
Addison mulled over his words for a second. She wanted to question him. What if the Colonel said no? What if he wanted Elvis to end it? The problem was she wasn’t sure she wanted the answer. So she didn’t say anything. Instead she nodded which earned a smile from him as he stood up.
‘Right. Uh, I found that dress in the back of my closet…’ Elvis said his gaze flitting to the dress beside her on the bed a slight red tinge on his cheeks as he realised it was the dress she had been wearing the first time they’d slept together in his room. After the first time, Elvis was unsure. He’d give in and though he’d revelled in the benefits he was apprehensive to make another move. His resolve had lasted less than a day. All it had taken for him to give in was seeing her in that dress. His mind had gone blank and he had been a little too enthusiastic which meant that the dress had ended up screwed up in his closet, now sporting a slight tear and a couple of missing buttons.
‘Thanks,’ Addison said obliviously though as Elvis moved to start dressing and she noticed what she was now holding that familiar blush crept onto her own cheeks. Whilst it wasn’t the best outfit she couldn’t complain. After all, she didn’t have much of a choice. It was either a slightly imperfect dress or going downstairs and facing the Colonel in her night gown which didn’t seem appealing in the slightest. In fact, going downstairs at all didn’t seem very appealing but she knew there was no way of getting out of it. So, she allowed Elvis to take her hand and lead her downstairs.
The Colonel was in the living room, his arm resting on the mantlepiece though the fireplace he was looking at was unlit. He turned as he heard them enter the room which made Addison shrink back behind Elvis just a tad as she clocked that his angry face hadn’t soothed any since he had come downstairs. She gripped Elvis’ hand tighter and he squoze back though it didn’t remove that uneasy feeling from her gut.
‘Ah, nice to see the pair of you could tear yourselves away from one another for a moment.’ ‘Look, Colonel,’ Elvis said irately. ‘What my boy? Would you like me to give you more time to lie to me? ‘I didn’t lie to you,’ Elvis protested. ‘You told me there was nothing going on with the pair of you. Twice in fact!’ he laughed moving away from the mantel towards Elvis until the pair were squared up. He looked the younger man up and down before he said with a sneer, ‘how is that not lying?’ ‘I tried,’ Elvis said. The Colonel scoffed and walked away, Elvis following him though not getting too close, ‘when I told you I’d stay away from her-’ ‘You promised you’d stay away from me?’ Addison asked quietly making him turn around. ‘N-n-not promised,’ Elvis stammered. ‘Oh so it’s not just me you’re happy to lie to,’ the Colonel said. ‘I’m not lying dammit!’ he shouted. As the Colonel rolled his eyes he moved back towards Addison placing a hand on her shoulder, ‘I didn’t promise I’d stay away from you Addie. I just…I told him there was nothing going on and at the time,’ he said throwing the Colonel a dirty look, ‘there wasn’t anything going on but I knew if I didn’t pull myself away from you I wouldn’t be able to help myself.’ ‘So that’s why you pulled away? Because he asked you to?’ she asked incredulously. ‘Yeah, didn’t exactly work though did it,’ Elvis said with a wry smile. ‘Oh yes,’ the Colonel said with a roll of his eyes, ‘I’m just the villain in this love story. Not the man who has been trying to keep your image afloat for the past few months whilst you flout everything I ask of you! Keep your show clean, don’t antagonise the press but no-’
Before Elvis could retaliate their attention was pulled towards the living room door where Gladys had just appeared, Vernon following just a step behind her with a yawn.
‘What is all this hollerin’ about!?’ said Gladys as she pulled her robe tighter around herself. ‘Why don’t you ask your son?’ the Colonel sneered. Gladys looked at Elvis expectantly. ‘Mama, why don’t you and daddy go to the kitchen? I’ll be in a minute,’ Elvis said nervously as he tried to steer his mother out of the room though she remained unmoved. ‘Oh, so your own mother didn’t even get to know,’ the Colonel said, ‘that is comforting.’ ‘Boobie what’s he talking about?’ Gladys asked worriedly. ‘He’s blowing it out of proportion,’ Elvis said. ‘What?’ Gladys asked. ‘We wanted to tell you properly.’ ‘Elvis you’re not making any sense,’ she said. ‘Elvis and I are together,’ Addison blurted out making four pairs of eyes land on her. Elvis smiled appreciatively though his gaze went straight back to his mother who seemed to be trying to wrap her head around the news.
‘Well congratulations,’ Vernon said awkwardly as Gladys moved to sit down in her favourite chair, still silent. ‘You’re happy for us, right?’ Elvis said as he knelt down in front of her. Gladys took a moment to compose herself before she smiled weakly and nodded her head. ‘Yes, of course,’ she said, ‘it’s just a shock is all…how long have you two…’ ‘Not long,’ Addison said. Gladys looked at her and though it wasn’t a cold stare there was definitely something to it that made Addison shrink back. This was not the time to be intervening. ‘Why didn’t you say anything?’ Gladys said looking back at her son. As Addison watched she could see the fear on Gladys’ face. She hadn’t really given it a thought before. Not telling people seemed like the wise thing to do but they hadn’t factored in how Gladys might take being left in the dark. She and Elvis never kept secrets. Maybe that was why her stare had felt so off.
‘Mama we were going to tell you,’ Elvis said placing a hand on her knee. ‘What when you knock her up?’ the Colonel scoffed earning a scowl from Elvis. ‘Shut your damn mouth,’ Elvis said standing up. ‘Elvis,’ Vernon said in a warning tone. ‘No daddy,’ Elvis said before he looked back at the Colonel, ‘look I get you’re pissed at me or whatever. I didn’t listen, sure, but that don’t change the fact that I love her. More than anything. And just because it’s unwise doesn’t mean that we’re gonna be apart.’ ‘And if it costs you your career?’ the Colonel challenged. ‘If you’d rather me be rich than happy that’s on you,’ Elvis said. The pair were staring each other down but Addison wasn’t watching them. She was looking at the uneasy expressions on his parents’ faces as the gravitas of the situation dawned on them. Though he hadn’t said it outright it was enough to be concerning because she was sure he meant it. If it came down to it, if push came to shove, he’d give it up. For her. For them. And that was a terrifying thought. She could tell from the way they watched him, from the way Gladys’ eyes fell on Addison watching her with a look of betrayal.
The Colonel was the first one to break their staring contest. He hobbled towards Elvis his cane in hand until he had almost passed him but instead of walking away he stopped, watching the boy with a betrayed expression, ‘I didn’t ask that you be unhappy. Just honest.’
And with that, he walked away slamming the front door behind him as he left the building.
No one spoke. Elvis didn’t even turn around until Vernon cleared his throat capturing his attention. When he did he moved toward Addison, wrapping his arms around her as he hugged her tightly. She hugged him back though less dependently than he was holding her as if she was a mother comforting a hurt child. When they broke apart he still didn’t relinquish his touch and instead moved to put his hand on the small of her back.
‘Well, I wasn’t expecting my morning to go like that that’s for sure,’ Vernon said. ‘I don’t think any of us saw our morning going this way,’ Elvis grumbled, ‘I mean don’t you think he’s overreacting just a little?’ ‘He’ll come around,’ Vernon said, ‘he’s just been worried that’s all.’ ‘Maybe but would it kill him to be happy for us,’ Elvis said wrapping his arm around Addison who glanced at him with a weak smile. ‘Well, we are, right Lovie?’ Vernon said placing a hand on his wife’s shoulder. She smiled at her husband though it was about as reassuring as Addison’s smile had been. Neither man seemed to notice. ‘I’m glad,’ Elvis said, ‘because we really are happy right Addie?’ ‘Right,’ she nodded though she was still watching Gladys. ‘Well, we can talk about it over breakfast,’ Vernon said with another yawn, ‘all this arguing has got my stomach rumbling.’ ‘Yeah, me too,’ Elvis said as he pulled Addison along so they could follow his daddy towards the kitchen. However he stopped when he noticed his mother hadn’t moved from her spot, breaking away from Addison though he kept hold of her hand.
‘You are coming Satnin?’ Elvis asked. His mother looked up from her chair and smiled. ‘Yeah, I’ll be there in a minute,’ she said. Elvis smiled and nodded heading out towards the kitchen with Addison in tow though the young girl took one last glance behind her at the woman now sitting alone in the living room. Even though she offered Addison a smile there was something behind her eyes that made her nervous. She knew Gladys liked her, that she enjoyed having her around, but at that moment she couldn’t help but feel as though she had overstepped. That whilst she could live in her house and be a friend of the family to have a relationship with Elvis was an error.
And she knew it wasn’t to do with the money. She knew that they could live in a matchbox and Gladys would be happy. No, this was more than that. The way Elvis had gone to bat for her, uttered what he was willing to lose, had just been the start. Both women knew it.
If he was willing to give up everything. If he was willing to lie to his mother.
What would he choose if it came down to it? Or more to the point. Who?

i might as well paste some of the art-idea-descriptions collecting dust in my notes, because there is at least a trace of beauty in that?
long post below
Idk if anyone will read these but if you do actually try to follow along with my ridiculous mania brain scramble adventure, I do appreciate that. i'm so used to being isolated that part of my brain still doesn't recognize that like.. i exist in the minds of other people ._. and they look at my art.
i don't have any life whatsoever IRL aside from sometimes going & walking in circles and so my whole life instead is about flying thru these magical alien fractal dimensions with my cute living airplanes and so on. if i could just finish them i would be content but still working on that.
revisiting these months later i see just how absolutely over the top nonsensical they are but that was part of the fun so yeah. if i was less disabled then these all would be done already but, maybe someday. there are still those rare ones that did happen.
some of these about illustration scenes, others about story plans, a few game ideas. a lot of these were reworked/refactored a dozen times or are still WIP. like 1% of the total ideas
I imagine someone trying to read these and just getting a Darkest Dungeon +22 sanity damage popup over your head

(first one got a sketch)
alright im going to bed(just kidding this post took 4 days)
(after i made this post i came across even more files that i just forgot existed. like i will just hyperfixate and write down an entire elaborate new coherent worldbuilding subsetting & plots involved. and just completely forget about it until 3 whole years later. some day this may be reconciled into a semblance of sanity)
i realized a lot of important things lately reworking my entire art-habit; most importantly that i need to be focusing more on efficient manners of communication. and not trying to make everything in hyperdetailed scenes with professional-level gesture and designs and anatomy and environments and effects --
..yeah just making 'readable colored sketch' would be okay enough i think. it isn't easy because the moment i see something isn't master-level perfect i want to spend weeks reworking it or doing anatomy studies or whatever; and ironically that ended up reducing my art quality because i would do so few finished pieces overall.
i have the exact same problem with writing actually - like focusing only on my most quixotic ideas, wanting to tie everything together in this massive overcomplex network of overlapping stories and subsettings (and like 4 animatics), and no surprise that also resulted in nothing presentable. but i actually do have nice short story scenes and will finally focus on that more.
i had another realization writing this post that i actually just overcomplicate everything because i have 9 windows open with a bunch of my scene-paintings and my 100k words of art ideas and 10+ tumblr drafts and my eldritch monstrosity nightmare of a PureRef file. honestly amazed my brain has not exploded physically at this point.
someone please banish me to the forest and make me draw with rocks on the ground for a month to fix me
