Hey Sky!!! I haven't had much time to play recently because work and burnout but I'm desperately craving SS lore so!! Some questions!
Were there any holidays on Skyloft (that were unique or resembled our own?)? What one was your favourite!!!
Are funerals different on Skyloft? There's a graveyard I found, but its a really small island wouldn't you run out of room?
Was Skyloft bigger than it shows in game?? 0:
Where do the Loftwings sleep at night!! There's no aviary anywhere is there??
Before you could go to the surface, did you ever touch the cloud barrier or would your loftwing not go anywhere near it?
Were big weather phenomenons common?? Did it rain above the clouds???
Is there any rhyme or reason to why the knight uniform is a certain colour each year? Does it correspond with anything or picked at random?
(Were you hoping for green, or another colour?)
Did you have a favourite spot to jump off and call for Aepon?? In game I like climbing the big tower (where you first find groose) and free falling for a lil bit hehe
Also what does Fi feel like?? Is she solid or smooth does she give good hugs I know she's probably not one to give them but every time I see her I am wrapping my arms around her and hugging her anyway I love her ;v;
Annnnd thats it for now!!! I will return with more eventually tho :D
ah i know how it be! but i hope you can have more fun in skyloft soon. these are all really good questions i got SO excited when i saw them ehehe~
kin ramblings below the cut!
Were there any holidays on Skyloft (that were unique or resembled our own?)? What one was your favourite!!!
we had so many festivals and street fairs i cannot remember them all i just remember spending a lot of time either outside at them or running away from them with zelda because i got sensory overload fghfggh. there was a kinda halloween-like one where we all wore masks, i really liked that one! and a festival where we celebrated our loftwings by just taking the day off and spending it with them. i think that was probably my favourite because i could just take a day off and fall asleep on aepon.
i wish i had clearer memories but they all kind of blend together, celebrations in skyloft are always outside with lots of lanterns and pinwheels and confetti and face paint fdghgfg.
Are funerals different on Skyloft? There's a graveyard I found, but its a really small island wouldn't you run out of room?
not everyone gets buried, a lot of knights especially have their remains scattered amongst the clouds. i can't say i have a lot of memories of what funerals are like but one thing i do remember is that levias always came to bless the dead as we remembered them. he would fly above us and sing, guiding souls back to the goddess. i wish i remembered more but i'm gonna be real i dissociated through the only funeral i ever went to.
Was Skyloft bigger than it shows in game?? 0:
slightly, but not much! there were WAY more houses but it is a very small community with not a lot of room. the game does a pretty good job of like. compacting it ghdfgh.
Where do the Loftwings sleep at night!! There's no aviary anywhere is there??
god ok i learned this at the academy at some point but i was half paying attention i can't remember the exact intricacies of it. i think they have their own, like, territory that they nest in. its obviously not in the map in game its like its own thing very special kin memory exclusive. iirc they don't let humans get close unless they NEED our intervention and very few people have ever actually seen the fabled Loftwing Sanctuary(tm) there's just some written records of what its like.
Before you could go to the surface, did you ever touch the cloud barrier or would your loftwing not go anywhere near it?
it made aepon nervous so i didn't bother. though i was told he was a lot less nervous than most? loftwings have a natural aversion to the cloud barrier and knights have to gradually expose them to it to train them to fly lower. apparently aepon was a low flyer to begin with but i could still feel his heart racing and panic whenever we dove.
he hated getting near it and the first time i had to drop into one of the breaches we circled it for like ten minutes because i kept having to calm him down. its unnatural for a loftwing to drop their partner without the intent to catch them again and he had a rough time!!!
Were big weather phenomenons common?? Did it rain above the clouds???
not much weather up there but every once in a while storms would form in thunderheads like the one in the game. they would very occasionally form over skyloft, and thats when you'd get weather.
it stormed and rained enough that i'd consider it, like, normal. no snow tho! i never saw snow until the surface it scared the shit outta me.
aepon loved thunderstorms! he always wanted to go flying in them. he'd give me the biggest puppy eyes. up until my junior year they were one of our favourite things to do together despite the protests of everyone we knew x3
Is there any rhyme or reason to why the knight uniform is a certain colour each year? Does it correspond with anything or picked at random?
i think it's just random. either that or owlan just has a bunch of paint chips taped to a wall and he and horwell get drunk and throw darts at them. i like that better.
(Were you hoping for green, or another colour?)
red was my favourite colour, i was hoping for a brighter shade of it than the darker red the knights a decade or so back got. blue was my second choice because it brings out my eyes~ was not expecting green because green was the colour like, two years back? but a brighter green. literally blindsided me entirely. probably would have guessed every other colour before green.
cannot believe that is the colour i accidentally forced dozens of reincarnations to wear. its so fucking funny. it does look good tho.
Did you have a favourite spot to jump off and call for Aepon?? In game I like climbing the big tower (where you first find groose) and free falling for a lil bit hehe
god the light tower is prime jumping spot ur right... i fell asleep on the edge with the waterfall a lot, that whole place was bliss if i could catch it grooseless. the pumpkin patch. the stray remlit. the shady tree and sound of water perfect for naps. some days i wanted to just sleepily roll off the edge and land on aepon's back lol. that's probably where i called him most often, given how much time i spent there~
Also what does Fi feel like?? Is she solid or smooth does she give good hugs I know she's probably not one to give them but every time I see her I am wrapping my arms around her and hugging her anyway I love her ;v;
i never know how to answer this in an accessible way i always just want to say she feels exactly how she looks she'd feel dghfg
her face is metal and her 'clothes' are clothes... her dress is like. velvety? but in a way that doesn't make my skin crawl (i don't like that texture fdgdf) and the trim on it is golden and shiny and smooth and good. the only thing thats weird is her wingarms because they phase in and out of corporeality. like you can feel the fabric of them but it feels so light its like you're touching a ghost. i get the impression she can control this. i do not know why. i mean she can turn into light and phase through things so she probably can.
she can give good hugs, its just very interesting circumstances, if that makes sense? if she believes a hug will yield a favourable outcome she will give the best hug she is capable of. there were a number of times where she hugged me because i broke down a lot and fi had the data to prove that physical contact was important. human beings need approximately eight hugs a day to achieve balanced social and emotional health, she'd say. she's great.
she didn't initiate physical contact unless i was in crisis but she didn't shy away from it when i would pointlessly hug her either. we found our rhythm hehe. her hugs were very soft and loose like a blanket being wrapped around my shoulders. sometimes cold. she was always the temperature of her blade though so if we were somewhere hot i got warm sword hugs heehoo~ i love fi

I saw that you included the belly kink in that fic you wrote, loved it by the way. Can we get some more of that? Including stuffed kohga if you're into that?? The man loves eating, after all
You're asking for Sooga's fantasy, is what you're saying. You're asking for EVERY yiga's fantasy, essentially. Let's go
"Is everything ready?"
"Just about! Keep stalling!"
Mipha motioned for Sooga to get back into the dining hall. It was THE Master’s birthday today, and Sooga was running around this way and that to make sure it was perfect. The champions were here, the princess, and of course, every member of the clan. Mipha and Link were currently cooking in the kitchen, working on his cake, all while Kohga was being entertained in the dining hall. One of the blade master’s, conveniently enough, was a former performer, and was doing a rather good job at entertaining his master. It WAS rather impressive, though Sooga wished he didn't have to doge during the fire swallowing trick. Nearly singed his hair. Kohga clapped as the blade master bowed, totally entertained.
"Did you SEE that?! He just swallowed a fucking FLAMEBLADE!"
"Swallowing IS my forté, Master Kohga."
Sooga shot him a warning glance at that flirt, and it took so much of him NOT to beat his ass. He cleared his throat as he knelt down to the birthday boy.
"Are you having fun so far, Master Kohga?"
"Loads. But it'd be better if you stopped running around and started celebrating WITH me.”
Kohga grabbed at his chin, pulling him closer, and for a moment, Sooga contemplated just cancelling everything, and kicking everyone out of the room. But Kohga was worth far more than that. He chuckled, lightly bonking his mask with his.
“I will, I swear. But you’d be disappointing everyone who worked so hard to celebrate your greatness. Plus scheduling this took almost a whole week.”
“Fuss fuss fuss, that’s all you do.”
Kohga scoffed, finally letting him go. He could tell that despite his disappointment, he found Sooga’s affections sweet. So much work has gone to make HIS day even more special. Kohga looked like he was going to complain some more, when suddenly, from out of the kitchen, came not only a few blade masters, but the champions, helping carry the BIGGEST cake you’ve ever seen. That caught Kohga’s attention, and he sat up in his seat, clapping wildly. It wasn’t JUST this beautiful cake being brought forth (heavy on the caramel icing), but all types of food that he LOVED, all in one table. Fried bananas, meat stews, tabantha bakes, all types of creamy, thick soups, bowls of tender, delicious meat, and all types of various rice dishes. Best part? Not a SINGLE fish dish in sight. Kohga looked nearly excited enough to jump out of his special birthday chair.
“Is THIS what you spent so long doing? Is this why you ‘forgot’ my breakfast this morning?”
“Perhaps. Please, eat as much as you please. I take it you’re ready for presents?”
“Yes! Gimme ALL of them!”
Little did Kohga know, he’d be getting a VERY special gift tonight, thanks to Sooga.
-------------------------------------------
“Today was the best day EVER!”
“I couldn’t tell, given how much you were laughing and hugging everyone. Even Revali.”
“Hey he’s not bad when he’s sloshed.”
Kohga chuckled once Sooga set him down, bringing in his new presents right after. Hair clips from Revali, a friendship bracelet from Mipha, a birthday crown from Zelda, monster rice balls from Link (he didn’t question it), hard liquor from Urbosa, and LOTS of goron spice from Daruk. It was sweet, all of it was. Sooga chuckled as he finished bringing everything in, watching as Kohga sat there comfortably, rubbing at his VERY full tummy. Sooga sat down next to him, kissing the top of his head.
“Perfect birthday?”
“Almost. I ate so much other food, I didn’t get to try the cake.”
“Oh! I saved you a slice, just in case. It’s over...here!”
Sooga dug into the pile of stuff, and pulled out a plate. It held the neatest, biggest piece of cake he could get. Kohga chuckled, leaning over to lightly shove his shoulder.
“You saved me a piece? Why did I expect anything else from someone like you?”
“I’ll take that as a complement. Here, I have a fork.”
Sooga sat back down, cake in his hand, when something in him..clicked. Maybe it was his Master being happy. Maybe it was the fact that he ate SO much food, so full of gluttony and greed. He was surprised anyone got any food to eat in his wake. And he saw it, in that big, full tummy of his. It looked even bigger, even grander than ever.
“Could I feed this to you?”
Why would he ask that? Why would ANYONE ask that? He was about to apologize, when Kohga chuckled, slightly shaking his head.
“I mean, sure. Less effort for me, why not? Long as I get my cake.”
Kohga lifted his mask up a bit, just for his mouth. Sooga froze for a moment as Kohga sat there, mouth open and expecting. He..shouldn’t keep him waiting, right? He nodded, grabbed a piece, and put it right in his Master’s soft, plush mouth. He licked the frosting off of his lips, nodding in approval.
“That is a VERY good cake right there. Nice and moist.”
“I..take all the food was to your liking?”
“Oh definitely. The chicken curry, salted greens, oh and the tabantha bakes! I LOVED the tabantha bakes!”
He kept feeding Kohga piece by piece, watching as his lips enjoyed bite after bite. Kohga...did eat a LOT tonight. So many plates of warm, hearty food.
“I could tell. You kept dunking them in the poultry pilaf.”
“Ugh, don’t remind me. I have no idea how many plates of those that I ate.”
“I’d be more concerned over how many bowls of rice and meat you ate.”
Kohga groaned, giving his stomach a nice, satisfied rub.
“Ugh that meat was SO good. The rice was nice and sticky, the meat was juicy, you could wring that shit out. Thank god you got that cake, I’m starting to get hungry again.”
Sooga nodded as he kept sitting there, putting more and more cake into his mouth. Kohga was ever so hungry. Big, beautiful body DID need so many calories to keep it running. Sooga eventually ran out of cake, and he found himself still glancing at his big, heavy tummy. Kohga saw there was no more cake, and pouted.
“Ugh. I kinda want more cake. You think I should fast after this?”
“No! Absolutely not. You eat until you feel satisfied, Kohga. If you want to eat, you want to eat. I can go into the kitchen, have them make you another cake. Maybe something else to eat?”
“I’d KILL for a mushroom omelette right now. But I don’t want you to leave.”
Sooga thought about getting Kohga’s food anyway, but he just. Kept looking at how Kohga kept massaging at his tummy. Clearly he needed his help.
“Then I shall stay. We can give you a nice, big breakfast in the morning instead.”
“Whatever keeps us both here.”
Kohga burped into his hand, and Sooga immediately felt awful. His poor master’s stomach was clearly in need of his comforting hand. He crawled up to him, suddenly finding both hands on his belly, rubbing it in small, slow circles.
“I’ll stay here as long as you need. You just relax, my Master.”
Kohga chuckled, looking as if he’d stop Sooga’s fussing, only to put his hands behind his head, and continue to let him. Kohga didn’t speak as Sooga tenderly massaged his belly, staring at it longingly. It was so big, so beautiful, so full of everything that was good in this world. Sooga was attracted to him for his hands, his voice, his confidence, but honestly? His belly was his favorite part of him. He could feel the softness under the yiga uniform, feel the warmth under his fingertips. It was so lovely, so precious, just the weight of it all.
“Jesus Sooga, you’re easy.”
“Pardon?”
Kohga used his head to motion downward. Sooga looked down, and found himself aroused. VERY aroused. He pulled his hands away, grabbing a pillow to cover himself.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to-”
“I didn’t say you had to stop, you know. Go on, do your thing. Don’t forget, you haven’t given me my birthday present yet~”
Sooga thought about refusing, but...well, he hadn’t gotten him a gift just yet. And he really, REALLY wanted this. He put the pillow back, and buried his face into Kohga’s stomach. One hand was used to grab and grope at his belly, the other was used to free his cock from his cloth confines. Kohga had such a big, wonderful tummy, he hated how absolutely hard it made him.
“I...really like your stomach, Master Kohga.”
“Ah ah ah. YOU’RE jerking off because of my stomach, on MY birthday. You call it ‘poochy tummy’ like a good boy.”
“Must I?”
“You wanna cum, then yes.”
Sooga groaned. He hated that everyone called it that, it was stupid, But, if that’s what it took, so be it.
“I...really like your poochy tummy. A lot. Especially after you eat. You look so full and content after you stuff yourself.”
Sooga was already panting, grip tight and slow on his cock, just how preferred it. It didn’t help that Kohga put his hand on his head, affectionately petting him like he was such a good boy.
“That why you offered to feed me cake?”
“...maybe.”
“Pfft. Pervert. But I like it, it’s cute, knowing your cock gets so hard for my full belly. You could totally feed me again, would you like that?”
Sooga’s whine was stifled by Kohga’s big tummy, but Kohga was taking that as a yes. Sooga was sitting here, pumping his cock because he wanted to make his big belly even fuller. Such a cute bottom. Sooga liked this so much, he was already feeling himself at the edge.
“Master Kohga, I don’t think I’m going to l-last much-”
“You gonna stay there, or you gonna get up here and cum on my poochy tummy?”
The idea excited Sooga so much, he practically leapt up to sit right on him. With a slow, tender hand, Sooga sat there, pumping his cock (and even rubbing his cock RIGHT on him, like a dream). Then he came. Ribbons of cum came from him, littering his big, soft tummy, it reminded him of a nice, fresh cinnamon roll. Sooga sat there for a moment, trying to take in the fact that his cock was sitting there, amongst his own cum, right on Kohga’s tummy. Kohga chuckled, giving a light shake of his head.
“You JUMPED for that, didn’t you big boy? Not that I mind, I wanted some more dessert.”
Kohga swiped his finger across Sooga’s head, and licked that bit of cum off his finger.
Kohga may be the gluttonous one, but Sooga was truly the one who was hungry.

The Chilling Adventures of Zelda-Chapter 9 The Newest Spellman
Tumblr media
CHAPTER 9-THE NEWEST SPELLMAN
AS ZELDA RECOVERS, THE REST OF THE FAMILY GREET THEIR NEWEST MEMBER. COMING SOON!!!!!!!!!!
By 8 AM, the storm had become nothing more than a drizzle. Hilda Spellman Cerberus had been up all night. Presently, Hilda was pacing back and forth in the Spellman kitchen.  She stepped up to the window and sighed.
“Come on, Zelds, you should be up by now.”
The cry of a baby distracted Hilda so she went to the kitchen island and peeked into the portable crib that held her newborn niece, who was a mere 6 hours old. “Good morning, my little love. Did you enjoy your sleep? Fancy a bottle?”
The babe cooed and Hilda took that as a yes and went to warm up a bottle, which she left on the table to cool. Hilda sighed, her 1st bottle, she thought, Zelda should be doing this, not me. Damn bloody Blackwood!  Hilda put a smile back on her face as she slung the rag over her shoulder and gathered up the baby in her arms.
“There we are,” Hilda settled at the table and gave the newborn her bottle. “Pretty little girl. This house is too quiet. Your Aunt Hilda usually likes a silence house because it’s never quiet around here. But now, I think it’s too quiet around here. Why? Well, you don’t know this yet but we come from a pretty big family. Let’s see now, your mommy, my sister, lives here as well as your daddy and your cousins, of course, Sabrina and Ambrose. I live in town with your Uncle C, but I’m always here so you’ll never miss me. Your older sister Prudence is at the academy and the twins, your other older sister and your brother, well, I’m sure they’ll be home soon.”
The baby finished feeding so Hilda put down the bottle and carefully put the tiny body against her shoulder. Hilda’s eyes drifted back toward the window. Speaking of coming home soon…
“Good job,” Hilda said to her niece after hearing a burp.  “Now that’s we’re done with your breakfast, shall we go relax in the living room?”
Hilda got up, pausing for a moment to return the baby to her basket before changing rooms. Hilda was just putting down the basket down onto a chair, when she heard a noise from outside. Hilda’s heart jumped high with hope.
“Zelda?”
Hilda’s smile quickly turned into a frown. What she saw in the suddenly busy driveway was not her sister, but everyone else. Ambrose and Prudence were holding hands, walking before Harvey’s red truck. Hilda could see Sabrina in the truck’s passenger seat. After the truck, Hilda recognized her husband’s car. The side door was opening and Faustus seemed ready to jump out of the still moving car. With a whimper, Hilda turned away from the window. “The stuff is about to hit the fan. Your Auntie Hilda could be big trouble.” She said to her infant niece.
The front door opened and the younger Spellmans filed in.
“Aunt Zelda? Auntie Hilda? I’m home,” Sabrina called out.
“So am I,” Ambrose matched his cousin’s tone, making her laugh.
Hilda decided to leave the baby in the sitting room while she rushed into the kitchen to greet the kids. “Oh, my loves! I’m so glad your home safely.” She said honestly and hugged Sabrina as Ambrose and Harvey looked on and Prudence helped herself to a breakfast roll.
The front door opened again and then slammed shut. “Zelda?! Dearest? Are you here?!" Like a flash, Faustus ran across the parlor and up the stairs, taking 2 at a time.
Hilda was somehow able to step around Sabrina and get to the bottom of the steps. “Um, she’s not up there.”
Hearing his sister-in-law, Faustus turned and went back downstairs. “Then, where is she?”
 “Um”
Nevertheless, this answer didn’t please Faustus so he sidestepped Hilda and went into the kitchen. “Zelda?”
Hilda hung her head back and sighed before she sighed and followed him into the other room. “Faustus, I need to tell you something.”
“Was it false labor again, babe?” Dr. C asked his wife.
“No, it wasn’t false labor again!” Hilda said loud enough for all the room to hear and they did, for at that moment, all the room fell silent. Great, thought Hilda.
 “Labor?” Stated Ambrose.
“Aunt Zelda had the baby already?” Asked Sabrina. “When? During the storm?  Is she upstairs?”
“That’s what I asked.” Said Faustus. “Your Aunt Hilda says she’s not up there.”
Suddenly everybody started to talk all at once.
“ENOUGH! ENOUGH!” Hilda found herself yelling above the crowd to be heard. “YOUR AUNT ZELDA IS NOWHERE IN THE HOUSE BECAUSE SHE’S IN THE CAIN PIT!” Hilda by no means expected to scream out the news like this but it just kind of slipped out.
Sabrina’s lower lip quivered. “Auntie Zelda’s dead?”
As Hilda went to comfort her, Faustus shook his head. “I knew it.  I just knew it. 3 births, 3 deaths, I’m a jinx. I knew it!” Faustus slammed his hand against the breakfast island.
“What? Oh no, love,” Hilda explained while rubbing Sabrina’s arm. “The delivery went very well. Both Zelda and the baby came out of it happy and healthy. No, the trouble really started when,” she sighed “Blackwood showed up.”
“Blackwood was here, last night?” This question came from Prudence, who cocked an eyebrow.
 “Yes.” Hilda nodded.
“If it’s not 3 bothersome ghosts, it’s him,” Faustus muttered.
“You see, I was in here, cleaning the baby when the door opened and he came in,” Hilda continued. “He’s the one who created the storm. He’d hoped we would all be trapped here so he could kill us all 1 by 1.”
“That’s why the weather got so out of control in just under an hour.” Commented Harvey.
“Yes,” Hilda nodded and went back to her story. “Anyway, last night when I first saw him at the door, I thought he was you, Faustus, then I called Dr. C and found out that Faustus still at the bookstore. I ran to go help Zelda but I was too late.”
“So that’s what that 2nd call was about last night.” Dr. C nodded. It all made sense to him now.
Faustus looked sharply at Dr. C. “You never said anything about 2nd phone call from Hilda!”
Dr. C shrugged. “I had just gotten you back in the store and got you calmed down. Besides, if there was a problem, I thought Hilda would call back.”
“Good point,” Faustus said before turning to his sister-in-law. “Why didn’t you call back?”  Faustus demanded.
 “Because there’s wasn’t a problem.”
That’s when Faustus’s jaw dropped. “There’s wasn’t a problem?! My Zelda is dead and you don’t think it’s a problem?!”
“I only meant that I have everything under control,” Hilda explained, “I buried Zelda in the Cain pit as soon I could, as soon as the thunder and lightning stopped.”
“What time was that, Auntie?” asked Ambrose.
 “About 2:30.”
“2:30!” Faustus exploded. “It’s almost 9!”
“So, this is Zelda’s 1st  time in that pit thingy, right? It would take hours to work. Unlike Hilda, whose down there all the time and can pop up in minutes.”  Said Dr. C.
Faustus shook his head. “No, it works the other way around. It’s going on nearly 7 hours now, something must be wrong.”
“Look, I’m been expecting Zelda since before you all got home,” Hilda admitted. “Normally, I would be worried about the hours too, but you forget the 2 things that can tire a witch’s body out the most is returning from the dead and giving birth and Zelda has done both in the last 12 hours.”
Once again, the group all started to talk at once again until Sabrina put out a hand. “Hey! Hey, listen! I think I hear something.”
Everyone did listen and because everything was quiet, they all heard the door opening, 2 light footsteps and the sound of something crashing to the ground. All of the family rushed to the front lobby. There, curled up on its side, was a body, not more than 2 feet away from the still opened front door. The body was filthy, covered head to toe in dirt, muck and dried blood. Although, dirty, lifeless hair covered up most of the face, everyone knew exactly who it was.
 “Aunt Zelda!”
 “Zelds!
 “Dearest!”
Harvey and Dr. C hung back as Hilda, Faustus, Ambrose, Sabrina and Prudence knelt around the body.
 “Is she alive?”  Prudence asked.
Hilda, meanwhile, put 2 fingers on Zelda’s neck and smiled. “Yes, she’s alive. Her pulse is quite normal. I just think she’s exhausted.”
Zelda gave a low, deep moan of protest as the others turned her over. Hilda moved so she was able to place Zelda’s head in her lap. “Welcome back, sister.”
It took all of Zelda’s strength just to open her eyes and say only 2 words. “My baby?”
“Don’t worry, Zelds,” Hilda assured her, “The baby’s fine. She’s probably napping by the fire right now.”
Faustus looked up. “She? It’s a girl?”
Hilda nodded, smiling. “Yes, she is,” Hilda turned back to her sister. “Okay, Zelds, time to get you into a tub and then it’s off to bed with you to get some rest.”
“Let’s use my bathroom,” Suggested Sabrina. “My tub is the biggest so is the room so we won’t be tripping over each other.”
 “Excellent idea, Sabrina.” Hilda smiled.
Not caring at all about the dirt, Faustus threw his wife’s limp arms around his neck and put his arm under her knees as he lifted her up and carried her upstairs  and into Sabrina’s room.i Prudence followed him, as did Sabrina, after she said a brief goodbye to Harvey, who was late for meeting Roz. Ambrose agreed to watch the baby.
“Wait,” Dr C. grabbed his wife’s arm while she tried to get upstairs. “If there was no one here to protect you, why didn’t Blackwood kill you and the baby?”
“I’m safer in that kitchen than anywhere else on earth.” Hilda had to chuckle when Dr. C looked utterly confused. Hilda kissed her husband. “I’ll explain later. Meanwhile, can you be a love and fetch a fresh nightgown for Zelda?”
Even with 4 people bathing her, it took over an hour to get Zelda completely clean. Prudence saw to the lift side of Zelda, Sabrina, the right. Faustus washed his wife’s hair and face where Hilda worked on Zelda’s feet and legs. Sabrina was worried. She had never seen her beloved aunt so weak. Zelda just moaned and groaned and every now and then, Zelda would open her eyes but only for a few seconds at a time. Once the cleaning was finally done, they drained the tub of water, they used big towels to dry her off. After working with the others to put the new nightgown on, Faustus carried his wife to their bedroom and settled Zelda into bed. She was asleep in moments.
“She looks so pale,” Stated Sabrina with a worried frown.
“She’s be fine after a few hours of rest and quiet.” Assured Hilda.
“Sleep well, sister Zelda.” Prudence whispered as she patted her stepmother’s hand.
Sabrina said nothing, but she kissed her aunt’s cheek before following Prudence out of the room. Faustus kissed his wife twice. Once deeply on the forehead, and again, lightly on the lips. When Hilda stepped in the hallway, she found that the girls had gone downstairs but Faustus was in the corner, muttering to himself. Hilda went to him.
 “Hey, you okay?”
Faustus turned. “I’m so mad at myself. I always told Zelda that I would protect her and our child. But where was I when they needed me the most?  I wasn’t even home!”
Hilda shook her head. “You can’t blame yourself, love. There was a nasty storm that made it impossible to travel anywhere, remember?”
“So what?  You got here.” Faustus pointed out.
 “Yes, but I teleported.”
“I could have teleported too, if I still had my powers! I thought I was doing the right and noble thing asking Lucifer to take my magic but living like a mortal only got the woman I love killed. Damn it, Zelda was talking about getting me my magic back. Why didn’t I listen? Why am I constantly failing?”
“You’re being way too rough on yourself. Zelda will be fine. What you need now is a distraction. Let’s go met your newest daughter.”
They went downstairs together. Hilda went straight to the living room and picked up the baby. “Hello again, little one. I have your father here with me." Hilda   looked up and couldn’t believe what she was seeing. “Faustus?! Faustus, what…are you crying?”
He nodded as the silent tears streamed down his face. “I was afraid it was a girl. As you know, Zelda and I chose not to know the gender before the birth.”
Hilda thought she understood. She rubbed his arm. “Hey, it’s okay. We can’t always control our feelings. If you’re disappointed that she’s a girl today, you’ll get over it.”
Faustus shook his head and smiled. “That’s just it, Hilda. I thought I would be disappointed but truthfully, I’m not. These are tears of joy. I guess I really am changing.”
Hilda smiled. “You are. You’re a good man, Faustus Spellman.”
“Faustus Spellman.” He repeated.  He loved the way that sounded. Meanwhile, the baby cooed in Hilda’s arms. “Can I hold her?” asked Faustus.
Hilda giggled. “Of course, she’s yours, after all.”
Faustus smiled down at the child as he gathered his daughter into his arms. “Look at her. You know, when I was younger, and I thought about marrying Zelda, I also used to dream of the children we would have together, both girls and boys. I swear to Hecate, this is exactly who I dreamt of. She’s so aware and alert for a newborn.”
Hilda nodded. “Yes, I noticed that too. Have you and Zelda settled on a name for her yet?”
“Hmm? Oh yes, we have, but I rather wait until Zelda wakes up before we tell the family.”
Hilda understood this. “Sure, we waited months to discover her gender, a few more hours to learn the name won’t kill us.”
 “Kill” Faustus sighed.
 “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing,” Faustus sighed.  “The birth of my daughter is truly a happy event but I would be lying if I wasn’t worried about Blackwood. I mean, to him, this baby is just another Spellman to slaughter.”
That is when Hilda smiled. “Maybe not. Last night, I managed to put a silence spell on the babe and put her out of sight before Blackwood came for me. When he asked about the baby, I lied and said it was a stillbirth. Blackwood may be completely bonkers but even he can’t kill what he doesn’t think exists.”
Faustus kissed his sister-in-law’s cheek.  “Hilda, you’re a genius.”
 “So, I’ve been told.”
“Father? Sister Hilda? What should we do about lunch?” Prudence entered the room.
Hilda smiled at the girl. “Let me handle that, dear.” Hilda moved past her and into the kitchen.
Faustus gave his daughter a huge smile. “Prudence! Come here and meet your newest sister.”
Prudence did come closer and smiled at her baby sister. “Oh, she’s so beautiful!”
Faustus put an arm around the shoulders of his oldest daughter and smiled at her as the other arm held the baby. “Just like you.”
Embolden by her father’s compliment, Prudence wore a playful smile. “Are you sure the babe is yours, Father? She looks so much like sister Zelda; one may wonder if she performed a cloning spell.”
Faustus laughed out loud. “It did cross my mind once or twice.” Then he stopped laughing. “Oh no. Someone feels wet!”
“I take her to get change.” Prudence offered, reaching for the babe.
“No, no, no, no.” Her father refused. “Thank you for offering but I am a father of 4 now. It’s seriously time I learn how to care for children. Besides, I remember you once told me, rather colorfully, that you are not a wet nurse.” Prudence and Faustus shared 1 last smile before he started upstairs.
Yes, a newborn baby meant much excitement within the Spellman house.  There was no shortage of hands who wanted to hold her, play with her and cuddle her. She was surrounded by so much love that Faustus thought nothing of leaving his daughter in the kitchen with all her relatives when Ambrose pulled him aside after lunch.
“There something that auntie Hilda said this morning that I can’t get off my mind.” Ambrose explained as the 2 men made their way to the attic.
“What’s that?”
“How she said that she mistook Blackwood for you. That’s mean he must have waltzed in here like he owned the place. I was thinking maybe we could make his arrogance work for us.”
“Interesting.  Tell me more.”
“While it’s true that we had zero luck in finding Blackwood’s current hideout,” as he spoke, Ambrose combed the shelves of his personal library, searching for just the right book.  “However, we can make sure he never darkens our door again.” He picked the right book, flipping to the correct page and put it on the desk and pointed. “We can put a magic lock on the front door. But there is a catch.”
Of course, Faustus thought. There is always a catch. “What is it?”
“This magical lock spell has a blood seal. So if we do this spell, the blood seal would be for Spellman blood meaning that the lock will protect me and my aunts but it would actually lock out any non-blood members of this family like Prudence, you, and even” Ambrose sighed heavily, “Sabrina.”
“May I see this spell?” Faustus asked and Ambrose handed him the book.  After studying the text further, Faustus smiled. “Well, this has a simple fix to it. Sabrina and I will have to spell our house keys and Prudence will have to knock. Excellent work, Ambrose.”
“Thank you, uncle Faustus.” The older man raised his eyebrow and Ambrose felt instantly embarrassed. “I’m sorry. I don’t know where that came from. It just slipped out.”
“No, don’t apologize. I guess I was just taken aback by how right that sounded.”
After a few more minutes, Faustus left and as Ambrose put the book away, a folder fell off the desk. As he thumped through it, he realized that it was Zelda’s manifesto and was impressed. “aunt Z really might have something here.”
Meanwhile, on the 2nd floor, Faustus was thinking. Ambrose had the right idea trying to protect the house from Blackwood but what if he could do better? What if he could destroy Blackwood forever?  Faustus went directly to his bedroom and opened the bottom drawer of his nightstand. Faustus smiled when he saw the book. This book was so rare many thought it didn’t exist but working in a bookstore had its perks. Even with Dr. C’s help, it took months to find. Spell books written by warlocks and witches were a dime a dozen, but what Faustus held in his hands was the only known spell book written by a mortal in the world.  Surely, spells written by a mortal could be performed by a mortal or a warlock that gave up his powers. Faustus sighed as he stood up. He went over to the other side of the room where Zelda lay. True, no one had heard a peep out of Zelda since she was put to bed, hours before. Faustus was glad to note that Zelda’s coloring looked much better. He rubbed her back, stroked her hair and softly kissed her. “Rest now, my beauty, and maybe, if this works, when you awake, all our children will be safe under this roof and your murderer shall be no more!” He whispered before kissing her again. Then, book in hand, Faustus left the room and went downstairs. His heart melted as he turned toward the living room. Prudence was asleep on the couch; the blanket was barely on her and her sister was in her basket on the coffee table. Faustus had to smile. Last night’s storm had been so wild and loud that it had been impossible to sleep so most people in the house were taking naps. Faustus had seen Sabrina and Hilda lying down in Sabrina’s room before he came down and even now, he could hear Dr. C light snoring from where he had fallen asleep at the kitchen table. Faustus went further into the room and tucked in Prudence and turning, he smiled down at the still awake baby. “Be sure to watch out for your mother, your sister, your aunt, your uncle and your cousins for me. Daddy will be back.” Faustus kissed his fingers and lightly touched his daughter’s head.
The 1st spell Faustus tried was called the circle of 9. Before he could even try to perform the spell, Faustus had to build 9 circles, each 1 bigger and wider than the last, out of sticks. It took 2 hours just to set up. Faustus knelt down to start the spell just as the sun was setting.
“Circle of 9, circle of 9, draw him here, bring back what is mine. Be it children, be it voice, be it body or be it mind. Circle of 9, circle of 9, draw him here, bring back what is mine!” Faustus waited a few minutes before he said the whole spell again, then he did a 3rd time, a 4th, and still nothing. Faustus moved on to another spell. Before he knew it, Faustus had performed 6 different spells from the book and still he found himself alone in the now pitch-black woods. Faustus now was leaning by a tree, flipping through the book with the flashlight that he, thank Hecate, remembered to bring with him. As he looked up and saw a shadow. If the shadow was real or a fragment of Faustus’s tired mind, he didn’t know but he was beyond caring.
“ BLACKWOOD!” Faustus yelled. “IF YOU CAN HEAR ME, YOU’RE DONE! I HOPE YOU HAD FUN LAST NIGHT BECAUSE IT WAS THE LAST TIME YOU WILL EVER, EVER GET NEAR THE SPELLMANS! YOU SEE, THE NIGHT I TOOK THEIR NAME, I ALSO TOOK ON THE FAMILY AS MY OWN AND NO ONE HURTS MY FAMILY!  NO MATTER HOW FAR YOU RUN AND WHERE YOU GO, I WILL FIND YOU AND I WILL TAKE MY TWINS BACK. THEN I WILL END YOU! I KNOW YOU HAVE THE MARK OF CAIN, BUT THAT ONLY MEANS I HAVE TO THINK OF A FATE WORSE THAN DEATH. I KNOW YOU DON’T SEE ME A THREAT BUT YOU SHOULD BECAUSE THE NEXT TIME WE MEET, I’LL HAVE MY MAGIC BACK!”
Once he was done yelling at the trees like a lunatic, a defeated and frustrated Faustus walked home. Getting his magic back was something had been on the back of his mind all day. True, the thought of getting all his power back made Faustus feel just as anxious and nervous as ever. Yet, if it meant he could better protect the family, he would rise above it.
“So, that’s the problem with Nick.”
Faustus followed the sound of Sabrina’s voice to the living room where he saw that the teen sitting cross legged in a chair by the fire, giving the baby her bottle.
“Hi,” she greeted him when she saw Faustus. “Where did you disappear to? We’re starting to get worried and you missed dinner.”
“I’m not hungry,” Faustus dismissed as he sat down across from Sabrina. “Why are you speaking of Nicholas to the baby for?”
Embarrassed, Sabrina reddened. “It’s nothing, really. I was just telling the baby that Nick invited me to a dance party at Dorian Grey’s next Saturday. I thought it was date, which has its own problems, then I find out that it’s a group thing and now, I’m more confused than ever.” Sabrina sighed. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to spill out everything like that. It’s just that Ambrose and Salem are both sick to death, hearing about my love life, aunt Hilda is still in newlywed mode where all love is rosy and perfect and aunt Z is…not…up…yet.” Sabrina sighed.
Faustus’s heart dropped. He had hoped Zelda had wakened up by now.
The baby cooed in the silence as if to lighten the mood. Sabrina smiled down at the baby. “Turns out that my new little cousin here is a great listener.”
“But she a little quiet about giving out advice.”  Faustus smiled. “You mentioned that dating Nicholas would be a problem. Do you not want to be with him romantically anymore?”
Sabrina sighed deeply. “I just don’t know anymore. Last year, when he came back from hell, I wanted Nick to trust me and lean on me the way, well, the way you leaned on Zelda after you spilt from the curse, but he didn’t.  He completely shut me out and when he broke up with me, it really hurt. Hecate knows that candle spell didn’t work at all.”
“It never does,” Faustus muttered. “I could have opened my own candle shop when I tried to get over your aunt Zelda.”
“But time did help me heal,” Sabrina continued, “I’m been happy being single these past months and I don’t know if I want to fall down the same down the rabbit hole again.”
“Sabrina, I think you should go to the party, as a group, and have fun. If and when you should be with master Nicholas again, you’ll know when it feels right.”
Sabrina smiled. “Thanks for the advice, Mr. Blackwood.”
“Sabrina, I think it’s time you started to calling me Faustus.”
She smiled. “Okay, Faustus. I think your daughter has finished her meal.”
Faustus stood up. “I take the bottle for you. You 2 ladies look too comfortable to be disturbed.”
Right before Faustus entered the kitchen, he could hear Dr. C’s voice.
“Hilda, you’ve been looking at the clock a lot in the past hour. What’s wrong, my love?”
There were tears in Hilda’s eyes. “Zelda should be up by now. I don’t like talking about it because it’s very rare but if a witch is still asleep 13 hours after a night in the Cain pit, they’re not going to wake up at all. My sister has a half hour left or that beautiful baby girl will grow up without her mother.”
Hearing this, Faustus didn’t cry or yell or even entered the kitchen. Instead, he placed the baby bottle on a nearby side table and ran upstairs.  Faustus entered his bedroom to see that Zelda was still in bed and still asleep.
“Zelda, wake up,” Nothing happened so he went to her and gently shook her. “Zelda, it’s time to wake up. I know you’re tired and you have every reason to be, but please, my heart, just open your stunning eyes and talk to me for 10 minutes.” He shook her again and still got nothing. So, Faustus knelt down and took one of Zelda’s hands in both of his. “What was it you told me the day I tried to commit suicide? That I couldn’t leave you? Well, I’m going to say it right back to you, Zelda. You can’t leave me! And it just not me. Everyone needs you. The coven needs its high priestess. I still believe that you’re going to be the 1st witch ordained by the council. The academy needs its headmistress and there are not enough words to express how much this family needs you. Hilda is downstairs right now crying that she may never see you again. All the children need you, Zelda.  Granted, she would never admit it, but I know my daughter and Prudence will be just as heartbroken as Ambrose or Sabrina if you-“ Faustus couldn’t even say it, he just shook his head and continued with his next thought. “The twins, when they return, will certainly need you as well as our newborn girl. As for me, oh Zelda, my dearest darling, I need you most of all. I don’t care if that selfish, it’s true. I know I failed you twice today when I wasn’t here for you when Blackwood killed you and I failed when I couldn’t draw him or the twins to me in the woods. But I am getting better at being a Spellman, I am. Ambrose called me uncle today and I just came from a heart to heart with Sabrina but you have to wake up to see it.” There was still silence and Faustus sighed. “I’ve buried 2 mothers of my children, but I didn’t mourn Madeline or Constance because I didn’t love them. I’ve only ever loved you and the thought of losing you is more than I can bear.” Faustus put his head on the mattress and started to sob.
Suddenly, he felt a hand going through his hair. “Faustus Spellman, did you really think you can get rid of me that easily?”
Faustus looked up sharply. “Zelda! Dearest! You’re awake!” Overcome with joy, Faustus, still on his knees, he grabbed and kissed Zelda. It was only mid-way through the kiss that Faustus realized how rough he was being and let go immediately.  “Oh! I’m sorry!”
Zelda chuckled. “Don’t be, I’m fine.”
Faustus gently tucked a hair behind Zelda’s ear. “No,” he whispered to his wife. “You’re more than fine, you’re beautiful and I’ve finally made a decision. I want to be baptized into the Order of Hecate.”
Zelda smiled. “Wonderful. When will the next full moon be?”
“Tomorrow night, I think.”
Zelda smiled. “Perfect. That way we can do your baptism and the presenting in the same night. Speaking of which, have you met our daughter?”
Faustus nodded. “I have and she looks exactly like the most beautiful witch in the world.”
“But I’m her mother. Shouldn’t she look like me?” Zelda smiled.
Faustus laughed. “You’re up for 15 seconds and you’re already telling jokes? No wonder I love you so much.”
“I’ve only seen the baby once. Last night before Hilda brought her down to the kitchen.”
“Well, we can fix that right now.” Faustus kissed her hand before he went to the doorway. “Everyone!” Faustus called out. “Zelda’s up! Someone bring up the baby please.”
That all it took. The only reason Faustus didn’t invite everyone in the room was because he didn’t want Zelda to get overwhelmed but as soon as he announced that Zelda was awake, everyone came running. First, Ambrose and Prudence came down from the attic, followed closely by Sabrina. There were many hugs, tears of joy and happy words of welcome. When Hilda, who was carrying her niece, appeared at the door, Zelda sat up straighter in bed and held out her arms for her baby.
“Hello precious.  It’s mommy,” Zelda purred to her infant. “Did you enjoy your day getting to know our family?”
“When will we know her name?” Wondered Ambrose.
Zelda looked up at her husband, who now sat beside her. “You didn’t tell them her name yet?”
Faustus kissed her brow. “I wanted to wait for you, my love.”
“Everyone,” Zelda addressed the room. “Faustus and I would like to officially introduce our daughter, Cordelia Luna Spellman.”
In Faustus’s mind, Zelda looked damn hot in a bathing suit, especially after just given birth 2 days ago. It was the next evening and he knew he shouldn’t be lusting over a high priestess at his own baptism, even if she was his wife but he couldn’t help himself. Still, he tried his best to focus on her words.
“We gather in the wood tonight to welcome a new member to the order of Hecate.”
Zelda amazed him. She fallen asleep about an hour after waking and then awoke again at 8 this morning like nothing had ever happened. They had spent most of the afternoon going over his baptism.  The details were straightforward; they had spent more time arguing about the coven. A warlock’s baptism was a coven event, they both knew it, but still, Faustus would have preferred it to be just the family.  Yes, he knew he had the coven’s forgiveness, but seeing them caused him bad memories and made him uneasy. He only gave in when Zelda correctly pointed out that if they weren’t invited and found out about the baptism later, the coven could accuse Faustus of keeping secrets so, he invited them.
Meanwhile, Zelda continued. “The church of night demanded that we all be baptized in blood and sign our names over to a dark lord who demanded we serve him and only him. Hecate does not desire to be our lord. As the goddess who first discovered magic and passed it on to her children, Hecate rightly sees herself as our dark mother, and like a mother, any mother, doesn’t want see harm come to her children. Therefore, a baptism done in Hecate’s name is different from what we have witness before. There will be no blood, there will be no sighing of names in any books. All we will use is the cool, refreshing water of the river while it is bathe in the light of a full moon, which is both the start and end phrase of a witch’s life.”
After delivering her sermon, Zelda took off her robe, revealing that bathing suit that drove Faustus crazy. Zelda waded in the river as Faustus disrobed and joined her in the water.
“Faustus Spellman, son of night, do you come here tonight of your own free will? To be baptized, to be a part of this coven and a servant of Hecate, the 3 in 1?”
“I do.” Faustus said clearly.
“Please kneel,” Faustus did so and Zelda marked his forehead with water.
“Will you disregard any vows you made to any lesser gods and any books that may bear your name.”
“I will.”
“Finally, will you accept Hecate and her beloved Aeete, who is the male 3 in 1, the lad, the father and the old man, into your heart?”
“I will.”
Zelda knelt down. “I will now emerge you in the water. If it pleases Hecate to accept your devotions, you will come out of the water, you will be reborn with your magic born anew.” Zelda explained.
Faustus held his nose before Zelda dunked him under water. A second later, Faustus came up to the surface. Then, holding hands, Faustus and Zelda stood up and together walked out of the river. To see if he really had his magic back, Faustus waved his hand and baby Cordelia, who was in Hilda’s arms, floated through the air and landed in Zelda’s arms.
Faustus smiled. “I think it’s time for the presenting.”
The presenting was a centuries old ceremony where a couple present their newborn on the stone altar in the woods, to give thanks for a healthy birth and pray to watch over the babe. It was tradition for the presenting to take place the same night of the birth, which is why most witches give birth in the woods. Also, for many years the prayers were offered up to the dark lord. Cordelia was only the 3rd baby in the coven, presented to Hecate. Zelda and Faustus stood off to the side while Hilda, fulfilling her role as night mother, carried the baby to the clearing.
“Hecate, we thank thee for Cordelia’s safe birth and pray for her continued health and happiness.” As soon as Hilda laid Cordelia on the stone altar, an odd thing happened. A thick white glow of white light, not unlike a laser, coming from the moon, beamed down on Cordelia and only Cordelia. The light came so suddenly that Hilda jumped back.
“My baby!” Shrieked Zelda. The light was gone when the witch moved to pick up her daughter. Hilda move closer saw on Cordelia’s tiny left wrist was a half-moon birthmark. A birthmark that hadn’t been there 2 minutes before.
“What’s that?” Asked Hilda. The sisters stared at each other in confusion. Of course, none of the Spellmans knew of the great destiny that awaited their newest member.

Oh man, I'm just imagining that there's so many close brushes with kiribaku almost realizing or almost being in positions to find out that the other is a vigilante-- an injury and no way to get into contact with Jack or Mina-- a rainstorm washing Kiri's dye away on the job. I think it'd be especially funny if he thought for a minute that Kiri was bleeding but then Kiri is like "UH GOTTA GO ITS NOT BLOOD" and he realizes it's red hair dye
Oh Kirishima sort of already suspects it’s Bakugou - more or less? He’s in the process of starting to suspect it, at least lol for being someone who really doesn’t want to be found out Bakugou’s more carefree in his disguise than Kirishima is (his hair is a pretty obvious giveaway, for example, thought Bakugou relies a lot on the ‘attacking and running’ strategy, so in his mind all he gotta do is just not be seen by anyone at all lol) compared to Kiri he gets bruised and beaten up way more too (Kiri’s hardening makes it easy for him to avoid that in general) - Kiri’s noticing Bakugou’s bruises and his vigilante friend’s bruises match up a whole damn lot, so he’s starting to figure that one out
Bakugou’s a dumbass tho (read: he doesn’t really look at people he isn’t particularly interested in) so for him it’s gonna take a while haha
Anon said: If in vigilantes au Bakugou and jirou are just friends why do they live together and hug like a couple?
They’re best friends, and sometimes when your best friend is going through a real rough heartbreak and he’s in literal tears over it, you might be nice enough to offer your back for him to hide his face in and let him pretend he isn’t currently breaking down on you. Sometimes, you like a person in a platonic way enough to emotionally support them as best as you can when they’re at their lowest. It. Sort of happens between best friends, now and again. You don’t really need to want in someone’s pants to care about them.
They live together cause they started working together as vigilantes when they were in high school, and once they moved up to college they found it a good idea to have someone back home who knew about what they were doing to treat eventual wounds, since they can’t go to the hospital! Also the rent is cheaper this way
Anon said:Can you draw more comics of childhood kiribaku? You’re art is sooo cute 💓
It’s something I’ve regularly kept on going back on for years by now, so sure, it’ll probably happen! And thank you!
Anon said:OH MY GOD. Please tell me you will make an official webcomic of your Vigilante AU. It’s so beautiful, cute and I definitely need more of this. It’s like a drug that I did not know I needed until I read your concept(????). BTW, your art is soooo pretty. Thank you so much for drawing KiriBaku ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Ahhh I’m really happy to hear you like it! For personal reasons I’ve decided that making a cohesive, coherent succession of comics isn’t something I want to do, but I think I’ll draw more of that AU soon enough, snapshots and things like that! I hope that’s good enogh for you~
Anon said:May I request a pissed kiri??
Didn’t I draw that less than 10 posts ago
Anon said:Hey, I rlly admire you! I wish we were friends, you seem rlly nice!!
Thank you!!! The few close friends I have might tell you I’m actually not that great at the whole friends thing, but I appreciate the feeling a lot! :D
Anon said:Were Kirishima’s eyes red in the last panel of the last comic??
Yep :( he really does like Bakugou, after all
Anon said:I saw you answering the other anon and if I may ask, why posting the gem au was a big mistake? Were pol rude with you? If it’s so, I’m sorry abt it
Anon said:You said that posting your SU AU stuff was the biggest mistake you ever made… is it because of something that we, as viewers and worshippers of your KiriBaku (damn, I’ll never stop telling you it’s cute and adorable and it hurts but it’s also sweet), can help NOT doing? Or is there anything we can do?
It’s okay, it just got in the hands of people who don’t particularly like Bakugou, and these people started talking about the AU in less than nice terms, which was honestly pretty ridiculous and made me wonder how people can survive being alive on this earth when they consider Steven Universe sensitive material but either way it brought around in my activities a bunch of people I would have preferred not to interact with ever, and that sort of took the fun out of the AU? Now every time I think about drawing for it those people come back up in my head and I get annoyed all over again, it’s no fun
Anon said:are you still doing the fusion au? id love to see kaminari and shinsou
I’m not, sorry! Though someone did ask about baku and mineta and I’ve been thinking about drawing that horrible monster since then, and I’ve also been wanting to redesign the krbk fusion, so maybe I might get back to it ??? I’ll add shin*kami to the list haha
Anon said:I really like the relationship Jack and Bakugou have, and the angst is nice too! I really like the vigilatne AU! I hope we can see more of it, only if you feel like it of course!
Thank you so much ;;;
Anon said:Silly question. If Kirishima activated his quirk being in water. Would he float like wood, or he’d drown like a rock? >//w//
Oh, I’m pretty sure he’d go down since his quirk makes him into a rock haha
Anon said:I think this is around the eighth anonymous ask I send you, but being a porn-making Tumblr user, it’s better if I don’t go public. I just wanted to say, once again, that I love your KiriBaku, it makes me both ache and feel so warm and fuzzy inside; but right now, the focus is that Bakugou’s crying face against Jack’s back is just so good, expressive and painful. I often hate his guts, but yours I can never hate. And the sheer intensity of that expression, and the environment too… so many feels
Aw, thank you!!! I’m glad I can make you enjoy my fav character, anon :D !!
Anon said:I have a question about the vigilante AU. What’s the relationship between jirou and bakugou? Because they don’t look like just friends
Why don’t they look like just friends tho
Anon said:Hypothetically. How would Bakugou react (or what would he do) if Kirishima stopped showing interest in him?
Are we talking about a specific AU or is this meant for the canon universe? Well, either way I’d say he’d be pretty hurt, but it’s not like he can force Kirishima to like him can he. Ah, in the vigilantes AU he’d probably think it’s for the best even if he’d hurt a lot over it, but in canon and most other AUs I like to think he’d try to fix it somehow? Unless he has other reasons to not act on his feelings for Kirishima… gosh this is a vague question, there are so many possibilities really!
Anon said:🧡Hi Fran! I’m pretty sure you’re the one who introduced this concept to me so I wanted to say thanks! Touch starved Bakugou and super cuddly Bakugou are totally my fave, especially when you have him all curled up with Jirou! Having them be Mina and Kiri level besties makes so much sense and I love you for introducing that thought to me!!!🧡
I’m!!!!!!!!!!! so happy to hear that!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;O;
Anon said:in your vigilante au, Kiri has a scar, does Bakugo ever notice the scar?(curious if it reminds him of Red or nah, love yur art btw~~
When he’s not doing vigilantes work it’s actually hidden by the hair, so Bakugou never noticed! But if he were to notice he’d probably mark it down as a Kiri thing and leave it at that, as I said he’s not the most observant when he’s not particularly interested in someone so he hasn’t really registered it on Red’s face anyway haha
Anon said:I RLLY LOVE YOUR AU!! I haven’t found an AU in this fandom I’m rlly into but THIS IS SOCUTE??? will there be more?
Heck I sure hope so!! Thank you for liking it!!!
Anon said:hey for the anon you were looking for an outrageous ship to draw to test out their theory, try Tokoyami and Link (legend of Zelda link) cuz I just saw cosplayers of them hardcore dancing at dragoncon and I die every time I think about it. You can find a video of it on quirk-registration-office
…………………..I’m probably never gonna draw that ngl LMAO BUT this ask made me wanna draw Tokoyami as a Rito so I guess that’s ???? something that might happen instead heck that’s a good concept I should have thought about earlier
Anon said:I absolutely love your art its soon amazing and I really like the vigilantly au but take care of yourself okay
I dunno what I did to make you worry about me but thank you so much for it? I’ll try my best !!!! And thank you for liking my doodles too!!! ;^;
Anon said:Do you know about any fanfics based in your art?? (Idk if that’s grammatically correct sorry 😅)
Hmmmmmmmmmm there are a few but the only one that comes to mind right now is such a funny pair !!! boy ellen’s fics are always so damn amazing, I still can’t believe she wrote for me ;^;

The Hylian Child Chapter 3
Previous: Chapter 2
Next: Chapter 4
Disclaimer: The Legend of Zelda does not belong to me
Link, now a young voe of ten, sat outside under a tarp with Tangela, who decided she wanted to be a merchant and left her position as guard. She sold arrows and was quite the expert of making them, making her perfect for the position. She also taught Link how to make them, which came in handy since he practiced with his bow a lot. A glance around and she noticed how many foreign vai were in town, keeping note of how many looked like they would need arrows.
Today will another profitable day, she thought with a smile.
She was then snapped out her thoughts when she heard Link hiss in pain. She turned her head and saw him shaking his hand. Her gaze softened as she reached for a bandage and cloth and carefully cleaned the cut Link received from the small carving knife. Once his cut was taken care of she started cleaning the blood-stained knife.
“That’s odd,” she heard one vai say.
“I thought boys weren’t allowed in town,” another said.
“No, that’s voes.”
She couldn’t locate who was talking, but she knew the foreigners were referring to Link. Voe weren’t allowed in town and Link would be voe soon. She heard these things being said by foreign vai far too many times. She remembered talking to Ender and Lisha about dressing Link up so he could look like a vai once. The conversation ended with Kyra mocking Link, Link going back upstairs to his room, and a big fat no from Tori. After that idea was thrown out the window, Ender decided it would be best to leave Link be and let him wear his usual clothing, which was currently being fixed. Link managed to get a tear in it. So today, Link was wearing a peach shirt with ¾ sleeves, brown capris, and light brown shoes. The clothing was breathable but not nearly as breathable as most standard Gerudo clothing.
I wonder if we have any Gerudo voe clothing. If we do, Link can wear it, and he’ll be more comfortable, Tangela thought.
Link let out a bored sigh and shielded his eyes from the harsh glare of the desert sun. It was then that he felt something wrap around his neck, he knew most would usually panic, and that he should be, but he knew it was his 13-year-old sister Kyra. He shot a glare her way, which she combated with a smirk and a light punch to the arm.
“Come on, pipsqueak,” one of her many terms of mockery. “Vaba wants us. And to that, I say sarqso. We’re getting out of this goddess-forsaken sun.”
Link released an irritated sigh, getting up to follow his sister. As he entered the house, he noticed how tidy everything was. Now a clean house shouldn’t be new to him, Tori cleaned the house everyday, but this time there was a new atmosphere surrounding it. He found himself marveling at how the multitude of vases and antiques looked so new, when they were probably older than time itself.
Tori turned to face her grandson and granddaughter and smiled. “Vasaaq, Kyra. Vasaaq, Link.” She walked outside to a tarp. She sat down and patted two spots next to her for the pair to sit. They hesitantly joined her and rested in the tarp’s shadow. “Soon, you’ll start training to become a soldier,” she looked at Link.
Link nodded with a smile. He’s watched his aunt train many times, and always told her that he wanted to become a soldier like her.
Kyra scoffed, “Like there’s even a spot for a Hylian.”
Tori ignored her and continued, “And when you do, Link, your sister will help you with the basics. The same way Lisha helped her. You see, we Gerudo stay close, and we always try to help each other. Even though—”
“Vaba, Link isn’t—”
“Even though we aren’t the same.”
Kyra huffed and crossed her arms, pouting.
Link found a grin growing on his face but didn’t have enough time to get rid of it before his vaba turned towards him, causing him to release an awkward chuckle.
“I want—no, I need you two to take care of each other, support each other, and love each other, like the siblings you are.”
“Link isn’t my brother,” Kyra hissed, “He never was and he never will be,” she glared at Link and scowled.
Link looked at his sister in shock. Sure, he knew his sister wasn’t his biggest fan, but hearing her say that hurt. He forced himself to hold back tears and dropped his head, propping his arms on his knees.
Tori rubbed Link’s back and looked back at Kyra, “Young vai, apologize to your brother.”
“For what? Telling the truth?” Kyra stood up and pointed at Link, “He doesn’t belong here.”
“Kyra,” Tori snapped, “that's enough!”
Kyra grumbled and stormed away. Link wanted to curl up into a tight ball and start crying but instead rested against his vaba’s side.
“Don’t listen to her, Link,” Tori cooed, “I think you belong. You’re just as Gerudo as anyone else here.” She stayed quiet for a moment before saying, “Unfortunately, she won’t be the only one who will put you down. You’ll meet tons of people who will make you feel like you’re not good enough. And when that happens, I want you to remember that the Goddess chose you specifically to be saved from the cruelty of the desert. Surprisingly, most foreign vehvi aren’t shown the same kindness you were. Do you understand, Link?”
Link nodded hesitantly and looked up at Tori before looking at the floor and messing with rug they were sitting on. Link then sighed, “Vaba,” he started.
She looked his way and gave a small hum to show she was listening.
“Can you tell me why the Goddess chose me?” he muttered. “And how you know?” Now he sounded like he was challenging her.
She let out a short chuckle, “Am I really that bad at hiding secrets?”
Link nodded.
“Well, I suppose your curiosity is fair for your age. Here’s the deal, I'll tell you some now, and as you get older, I’ll explain it more.” She looked over in the direction Kyra stormed off in, “Just so you know, Lisha is going to make you responsible for bringing Kyra back home.”
“…Yeah, I know.” To Link, it didn’t make sense why he was sent him to retrieve his sister, but he did it anyway.
“Don’t worry, we’ll still talk about this, but in a more private location.”
“Come on, Link. Put your back into it!” Kyra, now 20-years-old, barked at her younger brother.
Link, the 16-year-old in question, was currently sparring one of the best Gerudo soldiers who wasn’t a commander. She was tough, and much bigger than him. He only stood at 5 feet 2 inches, while she stood at the average height, for a Gerudo anyway, of 8 feet. But that wasn’t going to stop him, he kept pressing on. He dodged another one of her blows and attempted to attack her and succeeded. He hit her side with the side of his sword which knocked her off balance. This gave him the chance to trip her and knock her down. She fell and before she could get back up the tip of Link’s sword was resting just above her throat.
“Link wins,” Urbosa, the new chief, cried out. A mixture of cheers and groans followed the announcement. Link exhaled as relief replaced the adrenaline rush he was just feeling. He helped the Gerudo onto her feet and congratulated her despite the fact she lost. He then walked to his family. One of the vais obviously being the opposite of patient.
“Nice job,” Lisha said, “For a Hylian,” she added.
Kyra forced herself to stifle a giggle.
“Lisha, please,” Ender snapped, “I thought you were over this.”
“You should be saying that to Kyra. But will you relax? The one time I’m messing around and you get on my case. Besides, it was obviously Kyra.”
“Hey!” Kyra exclaimed.
“Hay’s for Hylian horses, sis,” Link countered like a young vehvi. He enjoyed being around his family much more now, even though he lost a loved one. A little before his vaba died, he noticed his aunt and sister stopped holding prejudice against him. Which they apparently stopped doing a few years before Tori died, he just hadn’t noticed.
“But you’re one of them.”
“So?”
“You did well, Link,” a voice commented.
Link immediately turned around to see who it belonged to. The voice belonged to Chief Urbosa. He nodded in respect of her and her compliment.
“You know, with you being one of my best soldiers, I want you to be my escort to Hyrule Castle next week. Is that okay?”
“Yes, Chief.”
“Good. You’re going to need to pack enough supplies for two weeks and some. The trip to the castle is longer than you think.” With that said, she walked away.
“Lucky,” Kyra said when they made it back to their house. “You’re not even 17, yet you get to go with Lady Urbosa to meet not only the king of Hyrule, but the princess and the other Champions as well.”
Link stayed quiet for a moment before saying, “Maybe…maybe she sees something in me.”
“What’s there to see besides a sunburnt Hylian?”
“Kyra,” Ender scolded.
“I’m just saying,” she said quietly. She caught a glance of Link as he sat down on a floor cushion and started reading a random book. “…I just don’t see what’s so special about him.”
“It’s okay, Kyra. Besides, Link doesn’t know what Lady Urbosa sees in him either. You two are on the same page.”
“I guess.” She sat down on the sofa behind her brother and gave him a half-hug. “Just don’t forget that you’re representing the Gerudo, even though you’re Hylian.”
“And don’t forget your manners,” Lisha blurted from the kitchen. “You’re meeting the king and princess of Hyrule.”
“Yeah, that too. But what are we gonna do about your clothes? I’m not sure it’s appropriate to go greeting the royal family wearing Gerudo voe clothing.”
“Well, we don’t exactly have any Hylian voe clothing,” Link commented.
“True. But we need to think of something.”
“Kyra, relax. If I’m representing the Gerudo, that means I have to wear my tribe’s garb with pride.”
“Fine,” Kyra relaxed, forcibly pushing all her weight on her brother. “I’m just worried. Gerudo and Hylian relations are shaky.”
“And they always have been. I know.”
“I’m just scared of what will happen to the Gerudo if the royal family learns we raised a Hylian as one of us instead of returning them.”
“There’s nothing to be afraid of, sis. Besides, Vaba wouldn’t want us worrying. So be strong, sis. Be strong, for Vaba.”
“Only if you promise to be.”
“I promise.”
“No, you need to Gerudo promise.”
“All right, all right. I, Link, a Hylian raised to honor Gerudo ways, promise to be strong for my vaba, my family, and my tribe. And if I fail to keep this promise, may Nabooru haunt me ‘til the end of my days.”
“Okay, I believe you.”
Link shook his head and rolled his eyes, “Well, since I’ll be leaving soon, there are some things I need to do.”
“Like packing,” Ender suggested.
“I’ll do that later.”
“No, you’ll do that now.”
Link knew it was now an order and put his hands up in defeat and walked upstairs to pack.

Valentine’s Day Festival Pt.1
               Valentine’s Day Festival
Sidon x Link BOTW AU and Sidon x Link and Mipha x Zelda Modern AU Pt.1
 BOTW AU
It’s been 3 years since the ending of the calamity, everyone was able to rebuild and live their lives without fear. There was still the monsters, but not many and the Yiga were still a problem, but it became a lot easier to tell the difference between a normal traveler and a Yiga member. In a few days, there was going to be a festival, the special part about it. It was the day of love known as Valentine’s Day, couples would spend a great deal of time with each other, new relationships will form and some will just spend the time with all the people they hold dear. Link and Zelda were sitting in the study in the castle, Zelda going over diplomatic and political papers, while Link was reading a book on Hyrule’s history. Zelda put the quill down and stretched in her chair, “That’s it for today, I don’t think my body can take another minute of sitting in this damn chair.” She got up and walked over to Link and placed all her weight on him.
“Zelda, please don’t.” Laughed Link. “But, Link I want to.” She giggled.
She looked at the page he was on, it was the chapter for the Hero of Time, “I always loved his part, it made me feel so bad that he wasn’t remembered like the incarnations. Makes me want to go back in time and give him hug,” she hugged Link in the process. He grunted, surprised by the queen’s strength.
“By the way my knighty friend, the Valentine’s Day festival is coming up, planning on confessing to your prince.” She said with a sly smirk. Link blushed, it was written all over his face. “I-I would love to, but what if he doesn’t like guys?” Link asked.
“I don’t know what rock you been living under, but I can guarantee, he likes guys.” Zelda replied.
“And how would you know that?”
“Have you ever payed attention to how he acts when around you, how praises you like you’re the only person in the world, how oblivious can you be?”
Link blushed, but laughed anyway to deny it, “You must be the one living under a rock, because when I talk to him about the festival, he mentions this person he wants to confess to. Yes it hurts he might not share the same feelings I do, but I want my friend to be happy. And Zelda the praises is because of what I did for them, he’s just really grateful.”
Zelda just stared at Link with this face like she was about to say, “Bruh”, ‘Did he just, no one in the world is this stupid.’ She thought to herself, Link went back to reading his book. “You might be right, I don’t know what I was thinking. Well I’m going get a snack, want anything?” Zelda stood up and was heading to the door, “Some milk and apple would be nice,” responded Link not looking up from his book.
Zelda walked out the study and headed to the kitchen.
(time skip to day of the festival)
The day has finally come, the citizens of Hyrule all gathered in Castle Town early to set up their booths for the festival. The Gerudo were selling their specially crafted jewelry, Gorons setting up games for every race to play, Rito had archery games for children and adults, Zora brought in fish based meals and had water games and the Hylians served many other foods for everyone to enjoy, while also setting up games.
Zelda was getting ready in her room, she had just finished putting on her festival dress she had Paya custom make for her. She even had one for Link to match. The dress went down to her knees, the color scheme was pink and white, around the neck was a little bow, around the waist of the dress was a white sash and there were frills along the sleeves and hem at the bottom of the dress. There was a knock on the door and Zelda answered, “Come in!” The door creaked open and walked in Link, in his matching outfit Zelda had gotten made. Of course it was pink and white as well, it was made similar to his champions tunic, with a long white sleeved shirt underneath, the pants being white with a pink stripe going down both legs, the belt around his waist was also white. What topped the whole thing off, was his angry blushing face, Zelda let a big laugh and almost fell over, “Why you look so mad Link,” She continued to laugh as Link got angrier.
“You know damn well, when I got up this morning to get ready. All my clothes in the closet and dressers were missing, but this one with a note saying, ‘All your clothes were removed per my orders, so you have no choice but to wear this. Love Zelda.’ Really Zelda, this is embarrassing!”
All she could do is laugh even more. “I’m sorry, but it’s just perfect for the occasion and I wanted us to match for the fun of it. Your reaction just makes it a lot better.” She hasn’t stopped laughing, ‘Why am I stuck with her, I had the chance to leave live like I want. But nooo, I decided to stay as her knight.’ He thought angrily.
Once Zelda got her composure back, they made their way out the castle and into the busy streets of castle town. The people complimenting on how cute they were matching, some even saying what a cute couple. It made Zelda blush, but she knows she wasn’t the one Link was in love with and she was going to make sure that her friends get together. They passed up a Gerudo stand selling luminous stone necklaces. “Sa’vaaq Queen Zelda, Champion Link,” greeted the Gerudo woman. “Sa’vaaq ma’am, and no need for formalities you can just call us Zelda and Link,” Zelda said with a big smile.
“Such a kind woman you are Zelda, what may I help you two with?”
“Just seeing what is being sold throughout the town, your necklaces are quite beautiful.”
“Thank you Zelda, any lucky people you plan to give presents to?”
“Since you asked, precious cinnamon roll Link here has a crush on a certain Zora prince. And I was just helping him find the right gift.” Linked look at Zelda with the most shocking expression, ‘Did she just tell my business? How does someone say such a thing with a straight face.’ He thought.
“Zelda, could you not?!” He yelled, earning stares from the other people. The Gerudo woman and Zelda both went into hysterics. “I’m sorry Link, but your face just made my day even better.” Zelda laughed.
What they didn’t know, was a few stands down, Sidon was with Dunma, Rivan and Bazz (Bazz is such a hottie) exploring the different types of food. They all heard the yelling just to their right and walked over to see what it was. Sidon’s tail wagged with excitement as he saw his closest friend and champion Link.
He ran to them with his short legs, “Morning dearest friends!” Link tensed up at the prince’s enthusiastic voice, “Morning Sidon, good to see you enjoying the festival,” Zelda says elbowing Link in the arm. He jumps out of his trance and greats Sidon, “O-oh morning, sorry about that. Yeah I hope some of the stuff is to your liking.” Said Link rubbing the back of his neck.
That made Sidon’s tail wag more. No one else in the world could make him as happy as this Hylian. “I’ll see you guys later, going try to see how much I can stuff my face with,” with that Link ran off into the crowd. “What was all that about?” Asked Sidon. Zelda and the Gerudo woman both looked at each other and smirked.
 (time skip to night time)
In just about an hour there will be a special fireworks display, this was for many of the future couples to confess their love for each other. The male will reveal a red string and if the other accepts they will tie the string to their pinky finger showing the unity of love.
Link was walking around the town, stuffed from all the food he devoured throughout the day and went to sit in the field where everyone will go to for the fireworks.
He sat under a tree to lean against but not block his view, “I can take a nap until the fireworks, it’ll at least kill some time.” Link said to himself.
He got comfortable and closed his eyes, welcoming sleep to come to him. But the sound of footsteps in the grass woke him up, he opened one eye to see who it was and surprise surprise it was Sidon. “Evening my friend, I saw you walk this way and thought I could give you company. But looks like you were just here to relax,” Sidon was about to walk away, but Link spoke, “I could use it, anything to make time go by faster. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen fireworks and times going by too slow.” Sidon sat next to him and leaned against the tree.
The rest of the time, they both talked about things they’ve done, the duties they completed, what they did in their free time and the funniest moments in their respective homes. Before they knew it, the field was getting packed with people. There were a lot of couples sitting together and Link spotted Zelda sitting next to that Gerudo woman from earlier, both women looked in his direction and smirked giving a thumbs up. Link blushed madly and Sidon took notice, “My friend are you alright, you’re as red as a tomato.” Sidon said with concern.
“Oh it’s nothing I’m fine, something was just on my mind.” He waved his hand in the air. Soon there was an explosion in the air and a bright red colored flashed across the field. The first firework had just exploded and the people looked in aww.
The display went on for a few more minutes and the males started pulling out their red strings. Each one turned to their lover, Link had a small smile on his face, ‘They all look so happy, Valentine’s Day is such a wonderful time. If only I could spend it with him.’ Link though then he snapped, ‘Wait speaking of, shouldn’t the person he mentioned be here. Why’s he still with me?’ Link thought it over and over again in his head.
He turned to Sidon to ask the question, but stopped. In Sidon’s hand was a red string and he motioned the string to Link. “S-Sidon?” He stuttered.
Sidon just gave him a small smile and spoke up, “Is this the biggest surprise in your life? When I spoke of the person I loved for a while, I meant you. it was really funny to see how oblivious you were to the fact, that I kept it up and waited till now to confess.”
Link sat there star struck, “And you may not have noticed, but I knew you were feeling the same way. You just didn’t think I did, but your troubles can be put at ease.” Sidon grabbed Link’s hand and got closer to him, “Link I want to spend my life with you and only love you in the most romantic of ways. Will you accept my l-.” Sidon was cut off by Link’s soft lips touching his, he melted into the kiss and placed both his hands on the sides of Link’s head deepening the kiss. They both pulled away for air, “Does that answer your question my love?” Link asked taking the string and tying it to his pinky. Sidon’s tail wagged as he tied his end. Zelda and the Gerudo woman were whooing and screaming I ship it, earning looks from the other couples who soon turned their attention to Link and Sidon. Both men blushed, but drowned out everything and went in for another kiss.

Fanfiction/Writing Meme
1) is there a story you’re holding off on writing for some reason?
/eyes bear novel waiting to be edited so it can be an actual readable manuscript /hugs BotW fic closer anyway
2) what work of yours, if any, are you the most embarrassed about existing?
I’m not regretful for writing “World Wide Story”, but it did feature several problematic/lazy tropes of the fandom that I would not indulge anymore.
3) what order do you write in? front of book to back? chronological? favorite scenes first? something else?
I actually am fairly linear but 1) I outline very extensively 2) have an email draft saved solely to jot down paragraphs or conversations that need immediate documentation
4) favorite character you’ve written
MATVEY KOURINEV (he’s from the bear novel)
Gilly from WWS holds a dear place in my heart, as does Francis.
I’m really happy with how I was able to portray Maru and Abigail in my Stardew fic.
5) character you were most surprised to end up writing
Francis was a big darkhorse. Likewise with Sam from Stardew Valley.
The countess from the bear novel is surprisingly hilarious.
6) something you would go back and change in your writing that it’s too late/complicated to change now
I still don’t like the title “Hold Your Destiny”. I wish I could change it but with a substantial amount of subscribers and beautifully loyal commenters the brand’s stuck
7) when asked, are you embarrassed or enthusiastic to tell people that you write?
Nope.... mostly.
I won’t deny I write fanfic to people IRL, but I won’t mention it off the bat in public spaces. I’m not embarrassed by it, but it’s exhausting to get into defending or explaining it. I’ve got plenty of original work to chat about anyway.
8) favorite genre to write
I actually LOVE slice of life! Mundane day to day stuff is my jelly and jam!!
9) what, if anything, do you do for inspiration?
Stop writing and consume other media. Every idea is recycled anyway.
10) write in silence or with background noise? with people or alone?
It doesn’t really matter; works out all those ways. I do like my weekly writing crew though because of the accountability.
11) what aspect of your writing do you think has most improved since you started writing?
Character development (clearer objective/intention behind actions), consistent POV, axing out the rambling backstory/descriptive padding to focus on the action
I tend to be slightly lazier with my fanfiction though because I see it as a medium where self-indulgence ought to be allowed. It’s a strength of the genre.
12) your weaknesses as an writer
Individual narrative voices especially in alternating first person POVs, creating conflict (because I love my sweet slices of life, I’ve been told that sometimes things fall into place a little TOO perfectly for my characters even if they do have challenges up ahead)
God. Damn. Titles.
13) your strengths as an writer
Vocabulary, dialogue, and balanced description (”big vs small moments” as my teacher used to say).
14) do you make playlists for your current wips?
nope
15) why did you start writing?
....because it’s fun??
And because I am good at it. It came a lot more naturally to me than music or drama despite the fact I’ve had years of practice in those fields, and I also feel more confident in my skill here than I ever did there.
16) are there any characters who haunt you?
Ursa and Yurie hover behind my headboard, Matvey glowers at the end of the bed and Polina is my personal poltergeist wailing from the ceiling. Because I’m supposed to be married to the bear novel but instead I’m having a torrid affair with Zelink fanfic.
Meanwhile, Gillian, Frances, and Tonia are sobbing in a corner because I shut them in a folder and avoided them for over a year (I’ll rescue you guys soon I promise)
17) if you could give your fledgling writer self any advice, what would it be?
“GO TO TUESDAY WRITING MORE GOSH DON’T BE LAZY”
18) were there any works you read that affected you so much that it influenced your writing style? what were they?
The age when I read and devoured the most books were about 8-13 years old, so I loves me middle grade something fierce. Sharon Creech, Jerry Spinelli - faves faves faves. And actually, the Redwall series probably has had the biggest impact on how I view and write the fantasy genre. I’m serious.
And since my final year of undergrad theatre major life was basically just dramaturging the heck out of Anton Chekhov for 8 months, I’d say he’s my biggest adult literary influence. Especially in the way of character building and dialogue. Want to improve your dialogue? READ PLAYS.
(Honestly I feel like the stuff I like to read isn’t what I usually write; Ray Bradbury’s work is a treasure and I savour ALL his words, but I sure as hell don’t write the way he does.)
19) when it comes to more complicated narratives, how do you keep track of outlines, characters, development, timeline, ect.?
I outline a lot and they’re pretty detailed. The outline can definitely change by the way. It changes extremely frequently. Honestly it’s just a comfort/fallback for me to know that I have some sort of direction for the story.
20) do you write in long sit-down sessions or in little spurts?
I have a weekly session with IRL friends where we meet up at a cafe on Tuesday evenings and plunk the words out for roughly 2.5-3 hours. Technically Thursdays too but I’ve been skipping them recently (baaaaaad!) Since Mondays are my days off I sometimes escape then too.
Otherwise I will confess I just veg out at home after work.
21) what do you think when you read over your older work?
“This is clearly older work.”
22) are there any subjects that make you uncomfortable to write?
My fic will rarely go above T, and if it does it’ll probably be M for violence/tragedy rather than any sexual content. There’s plenty of it out there written by folk who can pull it off way better than me anyway!
23) any obscure life experiences that you feel have helped your writing?
Having studied theatre, including stage combat, particularly rapier/broadsword has been hella useful in writing Zelda fanfic. You know, the one with Link the famous swordsman with that famous sword. Oh, same with Abigail in “Beneath the Surface” too. I’m not googling when I describe their fights.
24) have you ever become an expert on something you previously knew nothing about, in order to better a scene or a story?
Not related to my work, but I now possess a fairly extensive knowledge of sea creatures from the creative writing workshops I teach at my job. For some reason the ages 6-8 classes are always ocean themed.
Did you know some sharks lay eggs that look like oblong sacs?? They’re like big leather tampons. That, and sea dragons can’t move independently. They just cling to seaweed and hope for the best, the poor tiny delicate things.
Not even talking about how much Zelda lore stuff I read up on now, wow
25) copy/paste a few sentences or a short paragraph that you’re particularly proud of
Whyyyy don’t I just be a big fat shill and link you to my AO3

Ch.1 | Ch.2 |
Ch. 3: I understand
He knew her feet must hurt, but she remained silent and bore with it.
"Link?"
He stopped beside a rock, sighed and then motioned to her to sit.
"I am also eager to leave the desert, but I won't stand for you to just get hurt."
Zelda looked puzzled, but then Link pointed at her feet and she understood.
"Oh, Link, I can still bear with it, really."
But his face left little to discussion, so she sat. He began cleaning her feet with cloth and then ripped a large piece and wrapped one foot and then the other. She stood and thanked him again, he looked at her, hopeful, but she just smiled, curtsied and kept on walking.
It was endearing, really, the way he looked out for anything that would be a bother to her and try to fix it, but she wasn't going to take advantage of that. He had offered to give her his boots to walk in the desert, she had been thankful, but when she had asked what he was going to wear, his face had remained stoic and he had mumbled - barely audibly - that he was going to walk barefooted. Zelda hadn't lost her smile, she just had thanked him again and began walking. Link had showed worry at every moment, but Zelda hadn't swayed from her decision.
The few bokoblins they encountered weren't a problem for Link, and Zelda watched his movements with fascination. He was feral, ruthless, and clever, whatever he could find to make him have the advantage he took; he had once thrown his boot into a bokoblin's face just to have a few more seconds to finish the one that he was fighting. He always had an eye on her, she didn't know how he managed to be aware of everything and not fail miserably, but he did. After a while, and to Link's great relief, they encountered a group of bokoblins with bulbos, he made quick work of everyone and explained to Zelda how riding one would be a great idea. If she had concerns about riding a huge monster she hid it well, and soon enough, with some slight difficulties thanks to the beast's wild nature, Zelda grabbed Link's torso with strenght and they moved through the desert towards Lake Hylia.
The winds changed near twilight, and they saw the sun hide under green luscious grass, they had said goodbye to the bulbo before exiting the desert and now Zelda felt the need to kneel and kiss the ground, but controlled her impulses. Link lead her to a spring, unwrapped her feet and asked her to please tend to her wounds. They were barely bruises, but she did as told and washed her feet, she also took advantage of the spring and washed her face and arms, as she turned to tell Link to follow suit she saw him cut some grass and bring it to his mouth. A clear, strong tune came out of it, he repeated it three times and then turned towards her.
She must have shown confusion, or Link was really good at reading people, because he answered without being asked.
"Horse grass, my horse will hear its call and come to us."
Zelda looked to the distance and frowned.
"Epona will find us," he commented, almost offended.
Zelda smiled at him, "Of course your horse would be the most amazing horse ever."
Link puffed his chest and nodded, "I have nothing to say against that."
Zelda sat in the grass and played with it while looking at Link. Blonde hair, blue eyes, strong body, the sweetest smile, and the softest voice. All she could think of was that he was a boy, a pure boy she had unknowingly tainted. Zelda could only berate herself since the Goddesses where too far away. She gave such a sweet boy such horrible experiences.
She had awoken near dawn with a nightmare, fire in her kingdom and she was unable to do anything, not that it was far from reality, which only made it harder; but she couldn't go back to sleep and soon after, Link had awoken with a start too. She had calmed him down, his hands were gripping his covers with such strenght his knuckles were white, his breathing was labored and sweat pearled his forehead. He had looked at her, smiled, and then he had breathed out and relaxed. Zelda was too scared to ask about his nightmare.
"Zelda?"
She looked up and saw him smiling and pointing away, she followed his finger and surely, a horse was galloping in their direction. She laughed.
"I had no doubt, you know, none."
He took a last handful of water, splashed his face with it, and went to meet his horse.
"Epona!" his voice was filled with love, and his horse reciprocated, its head came straight to his chest, he patted its head, and looked at Zelda.
"Zelda, Epona," he then motioned towards Zelda, "Epona, Zelda."
The horse looked up to Zelda.
"I have nothing to bribe him," she whispered.
Link snickered, "She, and she actually doesn't like bribes, she's too smart for that."
Zelda sighed and took a step towards her, "Well, then I guess an introduction is in place. It's a pleasure, Epona, my name is Zelda, I am impressed by both your beauty and strenght, and I would be most grateful if you could let me ride you and take me to Castle Town."
Epona blinked, took a step back and then went towards Zelda, breathed her in and then let her head hit her arm.
Link laughed, "She likes you!" he put a hand in Zelda's shoulder, "come on, give her a pat."
Zelda did as told, Epona's eyes were shining, "Is she... She's happy, isn't she?"
Link gave her the biggest smile she had seen so far, "She is! She would've taken you to Castle Town anyways, since I would've taken you there, but she's happy you took your time to adress her." he patted Epona's muzzle, put his forehead in there and closed his eyes "we'll go home, soon, girl."
He opened his eyes and turned to Zelda, "Up we go."
Zelda grabbed Epona's saddle and mounted the horse, Link was about to do the same when he stopped.
"Link?" "I realise I should've asked this before, but you have no problem with me being in such close proximity, right?"
Zelda made a face, "No, Link, I don't. Come on up."
Link sat with a swift movement, "It won't get you in trouble, will it?" Zelda shook her head no, "Are you positive?"
Zelda looked vexed, "I will get really angry with anyone that picks on you."
"Don't make it too obvious," he laughed.
They had a day before they arrived to Castle Town, and as the night settled over them, Zelda wistfully looked towards Lake Hylia, she had recollections of entering Hyrule Field when her head fell into Link's back.
"...Zelda," Link repeated, " let's change positions, you sit on front."
Zelda furrowed her brows, confusion seeping into her face, "What?"
"You're falling asleep, come on, let's change."
He didn't wait for and answer as he stopped Epona and got off her, Zelda grabbed the saddle, "It won't happen again, I'm sorry." She had no recollection of falling asleep.
Link raised and eyebrow, "I want you to sleep, though. Let's change so you can do it, also I'll get to be at peace, since I won't have to worry about maybe dropping the future Queen of Hyrule from a horse."
She could taste his good humor, and she was too tired to keep on protesting. She moved to get off, and into Link's arms.
"Uh? You didn't have to..."
Zelda looked confused and then shook her head.
"Shoot, sorry..."
Link helped her get on this time, he got on and grabbed the reins.
"Are you alright?"
Zelda sighed and looked at him, "How awkard is this going to end up being?"
Link flashed her a smile, "Zero awkardness, of course. Just use me as a pillow, I'll wake you when we're near the Castle, and nobody will be the wiser."
Zelda let her head fall on his chest, "You, sir, are a blessing."
"My, I'm flattered."
"And I'll take you up on your word and let myself be comfortable, so bear with me a little."
Link remained impassive as Zelda sat with her legs together and off the side of Epona's flank, she then put her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes.
"Thank you, Link."
Link sat motionless and then cleared his throat, "May I?"
Zelda raised her eyes, but before she could understand, Link's arms enclosed her and secured her by the waist.
Improper, was the first word to come to her mind, but she could feel his heartbeat and she was so tired that knowing that she wasn't going to fall in the middle of her sleep helped her rest.
Link made sure to go through the less stony roads, go around any kind of threat and also any kind of traveller, Zelda slept soundly against him and he could feel his palms sweating. He could make out the Castle's outline, and he could imagine the people's uproar at not finding the Princess, he glanced at her and then sighed, if only he could give her some more time to recover.
Zelda woke with the slightest of nudges on her arm, Link hugged her to keep her from falling and she raised her head from the crook of his neck, the shiest of sunrays touched her and she hid her eyes with her hands.
"Oh, Nayru, did I sleep too much?"
She felt Link's rumbling chest, "You slept enough, don't worry," he motioned with his head to the nearing Castle, "we're almost there."
Zelda let her eyes wash over the wrecked Castle before realization settled in.
"Oh, Nayru!" she looked at Link, he looked back, worried. "You didn't sleep!"
Link snickered, "No, ma'am."
And then he kept staring ahead, Zelda shook her head. "Are you alright? I'm so sorry-"
"Zelda, don't worry, I'm completely fine, I got used to a few hours of sleep."
"But you have to sleep."
"And I will, I'm not invincible, sadly," Zelda didn't appreciate the joke, "as soon as I make sure that you arrive well to Castle Town, and I go back to Ordon, I will take the biggest nap Hyrule will ever record."
As that didn't sit well with Zelda - he wasn't sure her face could look more malcontent - he tried to look apologetic.
"You can rest in the Castle, you must know that."
"Since I will be condecorated with every badge and title you will find, I find it hard to believe I won't at least get a personal room inside the Castle, maybe a whole wing if you're generous," Zelda still didn't find it funny, "but even if I stayed for a whole day, I wouldn't sleep a wink." He locked eyes with her "I must go back to Ordon and make sure that everyone is all right."
Zelda bit her lip and nodded.
"I appreciate your offer," he assured "wholeheartedly."
She could feel him trying to ease this on her, and she squeezed his arm, "I know, don't worry."
Zelda gazed at the Castle, and tried to prepare herself for it.
"I'll take you to the Castle, people are surely looking for you," she nodded, "I will then return to Ordon, I don't know how things are there, they musn't be too bad, but I'll come back as soon as I can," he could see a smile forming on her face, "I would say a month and a half before I return."
Zelda nodded, "Okay, I'll be waiting."
Before they could be seen from the Castle, Link dismounted, Zelda looked as he grabbed the reins and guided Epona inside. Just before they entered he looked at her.
"I am and always will be your ally, do not doubt my allegiance."
Zelda felt the fear easing its hold on her heart.
"Link, from here on out, and whenever I am in the presence of more people, I will have to be less..."
The words died in her throat, but Link could recall her nickname. Her face lost sight of color, of movement, of life. Her eyes washed over him before settling to the first people awaiting for them.
"They view feelings as weakness," she offered.
Link squeezed her hand, bit down the urge to ask her what she thought of it, "I understand."
He reminded himself that he had no right to feel robbed when he saw the Ice Princess before him. Regal and beautiful.
And terrifying.

never too many! I’m excited to go all in for this~ (I’ll put it under a cut because its soooo loooong haha)
Ask questions for my OCs!!
Snail
12. How would/does your character feel about roller coasters?
Haha Snail looooves roller coasters! They don’t get spooked by them at all really and they love to get onto them and scream super loud just for the fun of it. They almost always throw their arms up too. The only ones they don’t like are the ones that just go around in a bunch of circles (because it makes them feel super sick) and the boats that like go upside down and way too high up and shit because those are wild and SHOULDN’T EXIST.
17. Does your character have any irrational fears?
Those boat rides at amusement parks haha. Also they don’t particularly like elevators, especially glass ones. The way they move makes them feel a little...almost...lightheaded? And if they can see all the shit below them as it goes up it just makes it all worse. So it also kinda translates into a fear of heights, but it really only manifests in elevators. (Can you tell I’m talking from experience haha)
50. What is your favorite thing about your character?
Aww uh so much because they’re basically a self-insert haha. I mean, I really like their general laid-back aesthetic. And I really love how buff they are while still be soft and chubby. And I respect their confidence, even though it’s mostly outward and they have a lot of internal shit they need to work on haha.
Andy
15. What music genre would your character listen to?
Both on totally different ends of the spectrum: EDM and love songs! Andy really likes the heart and soul that goes into making love songs and of course they’re a hopeless romantic. But they also really just like the energy from EDM and its good to listen to when they’re trying to get things done and be productive!
20. What is the most surprising thing about your character?
Apparently they like EDM ;). But seriously I mean I’d have to say their origin I guess? I mean, it’s so hard to tell from how they act after they got socialized by their friends and (especially) Daniyal that they were made in a heavily capitalized industry that wanted them to be a living sex doll. And also all the abuse they faced in that time of their life, because they don’t see that it was abuse and so they don’t really seem “conventionally” affected by it. But if they told anyone what happened the other person would most likely be like “yo what the fuck” because stuff that happened then is Pretty Fucked Up.
44. What is your character proud of?
Andy is constantly proud of Daniyal!! The two of them are growing together all the time and they really love and respect how far he comes with conquering his fears and being better to himself and all. And after Zelda is born, they’re super proud of her too! Andy is very family-oriented so if there’s one thing they constantly talk about its their loved ones!
Rory
1. What is your character's biggest fear?
Some of these questions get real dark whoops. His biggest fear is honestly himself. Since he has the ability to see people’s death, but never really had the ability to come to terms with it, he struggles a lot with it. He doesn’t have any explanation for the ability, so he doesn’t know if he’s the one that triggers those events or if he has some ability to change it. And he’s also afraid of wasting that time he has with someone and trying to make every moment perfect, so when something goes wrong he feels like he failed.
14. What is the cutest thing your character has ever done?
When he was really little and lived with his Nana he used to hide under their kitchen table and considered that like his Fort. And he would hang out under there and play or make things and when his Nana walked by sometimes he’d pop out and surprise her with a big hug because he’s a big lovable boy. I think it’s really cute~ But he also calls Daniyal Daffodil which is a REALLY close second because G O D.
26. What is your favorite headcanon for your character?
Personally, it’s that he pierced his own ear with a cattle tag to make the other cows feel better about the fact that he had to put them on them too. When he first started farming cattle, he wanted them to know that they could trust him and that there was a sense of respect between him and all of them, so he felt like that if they were going to have to get tagged, then he might as well tag himself in an act of solidarity sorta. Haha he’s a big dweeb that loves his moo babies.
56. What's one of your character's quirks?
Well I mean he can see the moment people die that’s a pretty big quirk. But on a lighter note, since Rory can’t see he relies on his other senses obviously, but his favorite one is smell! He loves becoming familiar with smells! And he can 100% identify tons of things by their smell, like Daniyal or Andy (or most any of his friends honestly) and he even really likes the smell of cow, which probably isn’t that pleasant to most people.
Cookie
2. What is your character's favorite memory?
I think it’d be pretty hard for him to pick just one in particular, but anytime he worked in the kitchen with his mom would be something he looked back on fondly. No matter what, Cookie and his mom always bond and have a great time in the kitchen together and he finds cooking to be a very relaxing hobby anyway, so its always a fun, light, chill experience. Plus it’s just a really good time for them to talk and share stories and laugh with each other and it’s super good for both of them~
29. What would be your character's favorite food?
He’s definitely a baked goods boy~ I would think it’d probably be something like banana bread (his mom’s recipe because Of Course) because it seems like something he and his mom make together a lot. It’s probably a comfort food that he makes whenever he’s feeling down or when he wants to bring someone else’s mood up. And it always reminds him of home~
40. What would be your character's favorite school subject?
Cookie has a really good memory (unless he’s in Panic Mode) and he’s got a great knack for pneumonic devices so he’s actually really really good at history. But his FAVORITE subject was probably science, especially Biology/Zoology because he loves learning about animals. He’s not super science-minded, but he always loved learning things that would just make him go :O
Lyar
3. What is your character's least favorite memory?
Any kind of grooming his parents did to get him into the political realm. He hate hate hates formal dinner parties where he has to be nice and prim and proper with everyone. He doesn’t like Events or dances or anything where he has to wear attire for someone else. Not to say he doesn’t like to dress up, but he doesn’t like to wear it because someone expects him to or because if he doesn’t it’ll offend someone. He likes to do it because he wants to, y’know?
7. How does your character feel about their name?
Interesting...I feel like he likes it well enough. He’s kind of become numb to it, where he answers out of habit more than actually identifying with the name. But he doesn’t have any desire to change it, necessarily. Sometimes he’ll tell people different names when he introduces himself just because he’s a compulsive liar, but he never sticks to the same one and he just picks names off the top of his head not for any particular reason.
30. Would your character have any hobbies?
He really likes fashion!!! He loves seeing different ways of dress and style! He’s fascinated with makeup and jewelry too, just because they’re kind of like additional pieces to outfits. He likes to dress himself up, but he also really likes dressing other people and trying to make them look The Best. He’s extremely creative in this regard, too.
45. What would your character change about themselves?
He’d completely remove himself from the public eye, that’s for sure. He hates that everyone knows him as The Diplomat’s Son. He doesn’t want to be known and he sure as hell doesn’t want to be known for political affiliation. He prefers to be kind of faceless, just like an average someone that no one really bats an eye at.
Wolf
14. What is the cutest thing your character has ever done?
He wags his tail when he’s happy! And he’s actually very paternal, too. He’s very soft and loving around little kids (especially his little siblings) whereas he’s usually kind of cold and aloof in an attempt to not get anyone too close to him emotionally. But he will 100% go out of his way to protect, care for, and make sure little kids are happy. Which isn’t really like a Specific Thing he’s done, but it’s still really really cute.
19. What is your character's deepest, darkest secret?
Probably Fang. Not that he doesn’t necessarily want people to know about them, but the wound that losing them made is still so fresh and makes him so vulnerable that he doesn’t like to talk about it. He doesn’t like the very real possibility that people can use his loss and his feelings toward Fang to manipulate him and he’d much rather deal with the heartbreak and trauma on his own than risk opening up to someone and having it bite him in the ass, if that makes sense.
24. What prejudices does your character have
He actually has an extreme disposition of falling in love with vampires. He is pretty much almost exclusively attracted to vampires and he honestly couldn’t tell you why, probably wouldn’t even make the connection if no one pointed it out to him, it’s just his personal preference.
31. What social media would your character use?
Wolf would probably feel most at home on tumblr. It’s like a place where outcasts don’t have to be outcasts so.
Ant
43. What is your character insecure about?
Their level of usefulness. Ant very much measures their worth in how useful other people perceive them to be. If they feel like they don’t provide anything to a situation their brain starts to bombard them with insecurities about why they’re even there or what their purpose even is, so they feel much better when they have a sense of belonging.
51. What is your character's favorite animal?
Ant is more of an insect person soooo unsurprisingly ants. If they had to pick an “actual animal” probably rabbits. They like wild rabbits because they just eat grass and shit and are kinda skittish and fluffy. But ants are definitely the preferred haha.
Gigi
5. Describe your character's dream date.
Gigi’s dream date is Definitely Not With a Girl (totally with a girl) where she gets taken out for dinner and dancing. Gigi LOVES dancing so much, especially swing dance. (I’m probably mixing eras at this point but who caaares.) And she also loves comfy diners and that cliched sharing a milkshake trope because it’s Super Romantic. And then she’d love to finish it out with a movie at the drive in where they could hold hands and maybe (gasp) cuddle in the comfort of their car while they watch some romantic drama movie.
23. Is your character morally gray or black or white?
Well she’d like to believe she’s always morally on the Right Side. But she’s also fairly bigoted because of her background. I mean, she’s from a time period of active segregation and heavy, heavy racism and homophobia/transphobia (even more so than today yikes) and she’s a very socialized young white girl, so she’s conditioned to believe a lot of things that aren’t actually good to believe. It takes a lot of learning for her to even get on the right track (and a lot of self-discovery) but she does work toward correcting herself as she becomes more educated. But yeah, she’s definitely morally gray in that respect.
