Tallulah's Redesign

As someone who hasn't had time to watch the QSMP/keep up with lore since Purgatory ended because of work, the recent change to Tallulah's model is really interesting from a character growth perspective.

She spent nearly a year waiting for her dad to come back - staying with Phil, Chayanne, and occasionaly Missa.

They adopted her when it became clear that her dad being away for so long was negatively affecting her, and she got to experience the safety and stability of being part of a family unit again.

After a year, Tallulah came to terms with the fact that her dad forgot about her and isn't coming back (he only sent her 3(?) letters and no others). She made the decision to move on, heal, and join the family that's been keeping her safe and loved.

She chose to dye her hair black because Chayanne's blond hair already matched Phil's, and Missa being gone for long stretches of time is something she's familiar with.

my only real take on that media literacy post other than my bit in the tags is 1) proshippers don't count in this argument, if you're doing weird shit then fuck off and 2) it's way worse than just media analysis, it's making it so people can't like, read and understand irl events and news as well. way more concerned about that kind of stuff than people misunderstanding fiction, even if it does still annoy me when people do that

thinking about how Oda chosing Luffy, a pirate, to be the protagonist of One Piece may be one of the most brilliant story moves by any shonen mangaka ever. by virtue of its main character being an in-world criminal, OP naturally lends itself to becoming a story about the exposure of a society festering with corruption for what it really is, and the dismantling of a dystopia and its propagandist facade. you simply do not get a story like that with a shonen protagonist who conforms to or tolerates the shitty system they're born into

I want to talk about my ElQuackity design a bit because i think its really interesting !

My actual q!Qackity design is very sharp, he has sharp teeth, long nails, sharp eyes ect, ect.

But then we move onto ElQ. His eyes are softer, his teeth are normal, he doesnt have sharp nails, his smile doesnt reach his eyes

By all means hes made to look as non-threatening as possible compared to the original Q. But that doesnt really work does it? It makes him look uncanny, with that dead look in his eyes.

As compared to Q who is full of life and energy, ElQ just doesnt have that, it doesnt matter that hes made to look friendly and approachable because he just isnt. By making him look more friendly hes made to look creepy and that something is very very wrong.
