The proposal is organized according to 6 – almost archetypical – types that define its references. More specifically: . 1. The square / The forum The space of socialization, political action and organization. It acts as a meeting point and organizes all other elements of the proposal. Spatially it has a double presence. The first – as forum – is inside the existing building stock and in the center of the old factory. It occupies building 30 and creates a large, interior common space. The second – as the square – is located in the open part of the area and defines a large, open common space. . 2. The Ruin The collective memory represented by the existing shell in its current condition. The existing building stock is used as it is. It supports an understanding of economy and recycling – of material, of spatial conditions, of memory. Therefore some of the existing buildings are restored while others are left in their current condition revealing its wear and the passing of time. Homerton College Cambridge Entrance Building - Designed by @alisonbrooksarchitects Visualization by @filippobolognese "Planning permission has been granted for our net zero carbon @homertoncollege , Cambridge Entrance Building. Alison Brooks Architects’ scheme is inspired by the Homerton College campus, its architectural eclecticism and its Arts & Crafts legacy. In the tradition of the Arts & Crafts house, a sheltering and protective Verandah makes a very clear gesture of welcome toward the Hills Road approach. Key to our design is an expressed timber frame and its inherent sequestered carbon. Timber proved appropriate for this pavilion-like entrance building; limited beam spans lead to a very rational structural grid and a pure overall form. 09 Closer into the Megastructure

To further analyse the structure’s qualifications and it’s interiority, I had to find the perfect location in which when digging deeper into the structure it will give the best understanding of the structure.

I feel that the city as it is controls the people, it defines what is and what ought to be. I wanted this project to show a vision where the structure would be given and instead of the spaces defining us, WE would instead define the spaces.

The structure beginning from the people, towards the slowly built of environment. Similar to the case study where the project is initiated by the personalised ideas of the people, which slowly domesticate the space.

Here it is! THE BARGE project that I’ve been working on for a while now! It a story of drinks flavors, and social gatherings! A system of pipes and pumps to mix flavors and create you custom flavors with a hint of rainwater! Gathering around the tall pipe-towers discussing your choice of flavor and creating a one of a kind drink each time before going through the other side to sit on the bridges that extend into the water, or taking a swim ✨ Simple social interactions which have felt hard to happen in the past few years… are all happening in the barge that hit ashore in vancouver due to a storm past few months! It’s been stuck on the shore since but there’s some discussion of removing it! I designed “the drinking barge space” for a hope for it to stay!
