Hmm i had a whole thing written and i took hours to write it and i was almost done telling you Frisk's life before they fell in my au but tumblr tumblred and deleted all of It 🥴 that's why it took me so long to answer this here lol i was mourning /j

Anyway i'll tell you a bit of it anyway. basically imagine the ancients were humans like two million years after our modern age. REMEMBER THIS. HUMANS = ANCIENTS. I WILL USE THESE WORDS INTERCHANGEABLY FROM THIS POINT. Everything happens as it usually would. The monsters get sealed (😔) time passed, Chara falls, except after they fall and That Entire Fiasco happens, the next humans to fall are spaced very far apart in time from each other. However, the Monsters don't know this because of Time Shenanigans. You know the drill. To them the normal amount of time between Frisk and Chara happens, and they think of humanity like us, not the ancients. The mountain is very conveniently placed in an area between different iterators, so it doesn't rain much there, by Rain world's standards. It does get all the other 'the earth is sinking' issues, but seeing as they quite literally live under a rock the Monsters still don't know this either. So now that ive finished making sure you know how for the monsters everything seems mostly the same except for the occasional odd item in the waterfall dump, let's move on to the ancients :)

They're still a whole hot mess, except they're humans. The whole legend about mount ebbot is forgotten, including what happened with Chara and Asriel, except maybe by the most avid mythology and history nerds. Again everything happens as it would, void fluid is discovered, religion religions everything, the iterators are built, the ancients ascend. Except not all of them want to ascend, and not all of them agreed with the iterator project ;)

I remember a pearl saying something about how some ancients decided to live on the surface despite the worsening conditions. I assumed they meant outside of the retaining wall. Now what if there was a movement about it? All those who disagreed with the iterator project AND all those who disagreed with the current way religious folks ran everything and promoted suffering in order to ascend decided they they were going to leave the iterator grounds when the Mass Ascension was announced. However they didn't come back once It was dome, because a big part of those who left disapproved of the iterators. Since they and the rest of the crowd couldn't afford to split up (they would likely die) and a lot of iterators already resented them for leaving like that and from the sparse communication they still kept, apparently would no longer host them they just decided to all stick together (not the entire population; think tribes and clans) and not go back to any of the iterators, be they willing or not. So they stayed out of the retaining grounds, as wandering tribes. The iterators see this and decide that anyone who helps an ancient will be labeled a traitor, since they (the ancients) wouldn't help them. (These decisions are made over a long period, not immediatly after the Mass Ascension). Of course there are many exceptions and many who disagree, but they mostly keep it a secret to avoid being ostracized.

Over time the ancients forget much of what brought them to live on the surface rather than above the clouds, and it all becomes stories told around the fire, with all the expected distortions of reality. Iterators basically become boogeymen lmao. Except they're very real, and in most tribes people are told to ignore the overseers lest they get taken away or cursed or modified or whatever.

Years and years pass and the whole Five Pebbles Fiasco also happens, Moon collapses (😔) and so on. Now we are paste Monk's time, but before the Rivulet is even born. So pebbsi is Not Doing So Hot but he also retains most of his processes.

Here comes a little child, like 8 years old or so in a tribe a few days' walk away from the outer expanse. They're very curious, always asking questions like 'why are the iterators evil' and 'why are we walking among ruins of cities' and 'what do mean we abandoned society for living in the cycle' and other such questions that aren't very easily answered. They're not very liked amongst the adults. This is also one of the tribes that clung to ascension religion the most (😔) so there's a lot of pressure to not let the natural urges happen without explanation as to why they have to do that. Which Frisk also asks questions about and is promptly told to just Do It and don't ask questions about it. They're a very adventurous child as well, and nobody really keeps much of an eye on them, so they often run off into the wild and come back days later if not found. The only reason they survive is often a scavenger or wandering slugcat (family) found them, went 'voids below that is a CHILD' and helped them not die until they were found or made it back. (Btw they all trade in this. Scavs🤝Slugcats🤝Humans. There is a bit of a feeling of superiority going on from scavs to slugcats and from humans to both scavs and slugcats, but if it came down to it you know none of them would take any shit from any other species. Relations are normal game relations between scavs and slugcats and read the above for humans with everything else, obviously sprinkled with a lot of wariness because oH nO ThEyRe WiLd aNiMaLs We CaNt TrUsT tHeM bLiNdlY. Only the second part of that sentence is completely true (that's just how things work in the wild i guess))

One funny day the tribe has decided to leave the place they're staying in because there's not enough resources to go around anymore. They're departing in a few days. Frisk does not know this and goes on one of their little adventure trips. By the time they come back the tribe is gone. (No one realized they weren't there, or they just didn't care. But either way they're alone now.)

They spend a few days waiting around, hoping someone comes back for them. They're good enough at foraging and hunting small animals (think baby centipedes, batflies) and making small fires that they do pretty well on their own for the time being. (This may sound unreasonable for an 8 year old, but keep in mind this is all they've been taught since birth, considering the nature of the settlements they've lived). When this doesn't work, they try to go looking for their tribe. They are unsuccessful, but they keep trying. For months. (What they don't know is, their clan went the way opposite of the outer expanse, while they went towards it. Although in circles, because they didn't know which way to go. That's why they take so long to get there.) One blessed evening, they find themselves in this lush and warm place (it's warmer as you get closer to the iterators). As they look for somewhere to stay the night they find a huge tree and oH THERES THANGS IN HERE.

The Thangs are Survivor and Monk, Who look at the very malnourished and very human child in front of them and think about it for exactly half a second before deciding to help them to the best of their ability. Frisk, who despite their skill, is still a child in the middle of a hostile wasteland, all but collapses at the promise of safety, even if they don't know yet what Surv and Monk are thinking. They just know slugcats are safe.

Aaand that's all for now! I have. A LOT more to tell before they finally fall in the underground but i aint rewriting all 'at

Extra trivia time!

Frisk isn't their name (yet) here. They have one of those excessively complicated ancient names here, but i haven't quite decided on it yet.

The atmosphere is extremely different from today's atmosphere. Humans didn't really evolve alongside it, so they have to wear masks that process the air for them in order to be able to breathe, under the ornamental masks, or incorporated within them. People are mostly able to scavenge or trade for the materials needed to make and repair them. Those who make masks are like the most important people in a clan, second to those who lead it.

Speaking of, the ornamental masks are still here! Although not as flashy as any you would have seen before the Mass ascension. They're also obviously not made from gold. Or metal usually either. Most are made of wood or bone from the animals they hunt. Occasionally people will have them made of metal, but that's for those leaders who are full of themselves. People will also make the mask prettier by hanging broken or otherwise useless pearls on them, or pretty rocks, plants, painting them, etc. They can be separated from the breathing part of the mask, and often are when hunting or foraging for example, unless they have an intimidation factor. Frisk has a carved and painted vulture mask to go with their breathing mask.

Frisk's breathing mask has been needing new filters for a while. You may understand where we would need to go to change and repair them in the absence of humans. ;)

Frisk is pretty good with spears and knives and weapons for a child. They don't do much damage though, think Gourmand when tired, but they can still lodge spears into walls if they try hard. Their time with slugcats and scavengers in the outer expanse will help them get even better and learn 💥movement tech💥. Or as much of it as they can since their weight center and strength is pretty different from a slugcat's.

When Frisk falls, they are absolutely gobsmacked, bamboozled, flabbergasted, astounded and astonished to see a house that isn't in ruins. They are even more flabbergasted to see a society that is full of stable, warm houses that don't move. They are even more surprised at regular house appliances. The discovery of yet another intelligent species doesn't surprise them as much as it should compared to all this. (Toriel is very worried about their wonder at normal everyday things)

The Mark of Communication allows those who have it to understand every language, but not speak it. Frisk is very quiet in their first few weeks in the underground, while they absorb the vocabulary (Toriel is also worried about this, but less since she has met kids who didn't like to speak before). The Monk and the Survivor can understand Frisk regardless of the language they speak thankfully so they don't have as many problems there even before they could speak fluent slugspeak. Or scavspeak. (Yes they are mostly sign based languages 😌)

Don't ask me how the cycle works in this au pretty please 🥰 all i know for now is Monsters are still bound to it, but in a different way to everything else in the world.

Frisk can speak, but often would rather sign. This won't come up much in the story though, it was mostly only bothering them when they were around other humans. Yes they are autistic no humans do not know what autism is.

Undyne will be Thrilled™ to see their skill in evading and fighting. Especially since they already have a spear. ("Finally a worthy opponent! Our battle will be legendary!" But the opponent is still a very pacifist child. [I'll explain how this happens in another post. Hopefully.])

When i say the ancients are humans i don't mean like us. They're still very much looking like the murals, at least before the Mass ascension. ...Well mostly the wealthy, but the human genetic code has been altered to hell and back so the poor didn't look too different anyway. While lot of it doesn't show after generations of not-human traits not being activated and reactivated and added, Frisk does have features that aren't quite normal for today's human beings. For example, their skin is adapted to the weather, they retain warmth easily, and they can see better in the dark than we do. There's also cosmetic oddities, but i haven't decided on those. There's more traits that are in their DNA that could be activated, but there is no way or reason to in their current situation.

Frisk is no longer eight by the time they fall. They are nine or ten, but if they're nine they're on the older side of it.

Mad Dummy, Napstablook, and Mettaton are all in the royal guard. Each possessing a suit of armor. Mettaton patrols snowland, Napstablook patrols the wet home, Mad Dummy patrols heatin.

Chara (was age 9 at the time) and Frisk (was 8 at the time) are siblings that both went into the cave to seek shelter from a snow storm; they hid in a cave to wait for the storm to pass, while exploring deeper into the cave the floor below them caved in and they fell down into the underground.

When they both fell down chara woke up first and dragged frisk off to the side to hide after hearing voices getting close. Chara saw 2 monsters talking about hearing and seeing the hole above them. One of the monsters leave; the other stays, and eventually finds chara and frisk (frisk having made a noise from finally waking up). The monster was in shock seeing them and before they knew it chara had grabbed a sharp rock and stabbed the monster, killing them.

For about 2 years frisk and chara hid from monsters, them not being caught once. Until they hid near a castle figuring it would be harder to find them since it’s so big, about 3 hours later king Gaster found them both chara tried to attack them, but Gaster was able to catch their hand. After disarming chara he sat down, and began talking to them both. About 1 week later Gaster gained their trust, and the kids began living with king Gaster and queen river, and after 2 more years chara (13) and frisk (12) took the last name Gaster.

Alphys (12) was a monster that was usually in the castle, since their parents worked there. After about a week or so; alphys, chara, and frisk became friends.

Undyne (13) was a homeless monster, who usually stole food and g to survive in the underground. About a year later Undyne met alphys while trying to steal some food, before Undyne could though alphys bought it for her. Undyne then started to follow alphys around, not entering the castle though, eventually Undyne (14) built up enough g and courage to ask alphys (13) out on a date and alphys agreed. The date went well, and Undyne and alphys started spending more time together, eventually being invited and allowed to visit the castle.

After about 2 years Undyne (16) started watching the royal guard train while alphys (15) was busy helping her parents. Another year later Undyne joined the royal guards as a recruit, training (being around ut papyrus’ stregth).

A year later an adult human fell into the underground. Said human upon seeing monsters decided they would kill the monsters so they couldn’t kill any humans. The human slowly killed monsters in stealth (2 of the monsters being alphys’ parents). Eventually the royal guards start patrolling the underground, most dying to the human, a month later Undyne encounter the human and barely beats the human and kills them, Undyne grabs the soul and forces it to stay together. Undyne (17) rushes to alphys (16). Once she gets to alphys she shows the soul, and suggests that they both absorb the soul at the same time to see if they can fuse together then pass the barrier and get more human souls to free everyone else. After a minute of thinking alphys agrees to the idea, and it worked they both fused together into one with the human soul.

They sneak to the barrier, and exit the underground (they both die to guns from humans, L). They are able to get back into the underground still fused, they get into the castle and tell them how they were starting to die. When the info got to the king, him finally knowing what was causing all the missing monsters, out of anger and hatred he declares war on humans.

The next day he publicly declares war on any new human who falls underground (also having told what has happen to warrant this). Chara (17), who was secretly there, agreed with the new rule. Later going to Gaster and saying that they agree with the new rule, arguing with him that they want to help monster kind, after about 10 minutes of arguing Gaster agrees to let chara help. Later chara goes to tell frisk (16) a watered down version.

After 2 days the dust from the fused beings gets spread on one of alphys’ creations (a mini mettaton robot, aka mettaton the size of flower). And some on Undyne’s royal guard badge.

Eventually another human falls down, and is seized by the royal guard to be taken to the king. Chara meets the guards in Hotland, chara suggests taking the human to the royal scientist instead of the king. The royal guards are eventually convinced and take the human to the royal scientist, chara following them and chatting and explaining to the human what’s gonna happen.

They get to the lab in Snowdin and chara tells the royal guards to go, since the royal scientist’s face can be kept secret, they do so after being told they’d make the king angry. After they leave chara forces the human to the floor with blue magic, keeping them there as they call out for the royal scientist. After a few minutes of silence, they hear “what’s a doctor most afraid of? An apple.” Sans then appears from behind the human. Chara then greets sans for the first time giving him a handshake, setting off an air horn as they do so. They both laugh then get down to business. Chara tells sans that human souls will more than likely break like monster souls after leaving a body, and that he could probably make something to stop that. Sans thinks for a moment then agrees to it. Sans then says he’s gonna go work on it and says it’ll more than likely be a few days, chara says alright and that they’ll stay at the lab until it’s done. Chara then sits in the lab for 3 days keeping the human on the ground and getting no sleep in return. Sans then comes out with the prototype device called a soulder (soul holder pun frfr). Chara sighs and pulls out a knife and kills the human, then grabs the soul and puts it in the prototype, it barely working in time.

Chara then says that sans and them should go show it to the king together. Sans agrees and asks chara if they wanna take a shortcut, chara looks at him confused. Sans then grabs chara and says it’s this one way walking deeper into the lab, once chara blinked they were in the castle halls. Chara then blinks and rubs their eyes, then just shrugging it off for now. Chara then tells sans to hide in the throne room as they go look for king Gaster. Sans says ok. Eventually chara finds Gaster and tells him to go to the throne room, after a bit of conversation he goes, chara following behind.

They both arrive at the throne room. Chara tells sans to come out, when they don’t chara looks around seeing sans snoozing behind the throne, chara wakes them and they both show Gaster the soul. Gaster is shocked at first, then takes the ‘BRAVERY’ soul and saves it for later use.

The next human to fall down is the 5th one to fall in total and has the ‘AMBITION’ soul (a faded blue color), they go through the underground fighting most monsters once they reach Hotland they encounter Chara and tries to talk Chara into helping them escape the place. Chara says sure, but stabs them in the back of the head as soon as their guard is down. Chara grabs the soul and keeps it together the best they can as they dash to snowdin’s lab. Upon arriving Chara tells Sans to get a soulder quick, the soul barely gets in.

After the 2nd soul is delivered River finds out about the deaths and leaves going into the flooded ruins.

After 1 year an ‘INTEGRITY’ and ‘TERROR’ soul are gained (6th and 7th to fall)

Chara (18) decides to help out more by joining the Royal Guard, being quickly promoted to a captain due to their achievements. A year later they are kicked out due to an incident. After the incident Chara (19) decides to move out of the castle and live in heatin, Frisk (18) goes with Chara.

Sans begins working on some devices mainly working on something called PUN and UT (Pretty UnNecessary and UnTrait). After a while he completes the PUN and just gives it to Chara as a gift, then begins working on the UT. After a while he builds the UT in the center of the underground. When he tests it out on the TERROR soul, it explodes, him and everyone else there at the time falling into the center of the underground: all of them being only a faint memory now (sans, grillby, monster kid/adult, idk who else rn; terror soul also gone).

More humans fall into the underground and die (having 5 souls) until the 10th human (10th in total) known as ??? falls into the underground.

This au came about as an idea of gaster being king, and chara and frisk taking sans and papyrus role

Sans - he’s much more energetic than og!sans, which caused a increase in his HP, which is now 680 HP. Sans is Deaf, and he always has been, but he never got the cochlear implants because he doesn’t want them. Sans does know American Sign Language, and so does a few other monsters, but he only uses ASL to communicate with Papyrus. Sans gets frustrated easily, and sometimes expresses it in unhealthy ways, like hitting his head(or skull)- Sans is demisexual and uses he/they pronouns, but mainly he/him. Sans is..kinda cold towards Frisk when they first meet, but he opens up later on!

Papyrus - Papyrus’ food is actually edible- He is learning ASL, and its going well! Papyrus doesn’t want to join the royal guard, EVER. He’s always around Sans for communication purposes. Papyrus is aroace and uses he/them. He is still friends with Undyne, and Undyne was actually the reason why Papyrus wants to become a chef when he gets on the surface!

Toriel - Toriel doesn’t fight Frisk when they wanted to leave the ruins, Toriel understands why. Toriel still loves Asgore, thats why she and Asgore decided that they needed a break until things work out. Toriel is straight and uses she/her.

Alphys - Alphys is really clumsy and very nervous, but she always tries her best! Alphys doesn’t beat herself up abt messing up anymore. Alphys is still a anime nerd and will always be hahahdmsks- Alphys is bisexual and uses she/her-

Undyne - Undyne knows that anime isnt real. Undyne uses she/they pronouns and is a lesbian <3 Undyne is..tough, but Undyne can get rlly nervous, like when you ask her how babies r made. Undyne was the one who got Papyrus interested into culinary arts b/c Papyrus didnt rlly do anything except clean when Sans didnt need communication and take care of the humans that fell, so yeah-

Mettaton - Mettaton wont ask you if you would smooch a ghost b/c thats super weird- Mettaton is transgender(he/him) and he is demiromantic <3 Mettaton doesn’t like to talk only abt themselves. Mettaton’s show is all about quizzes with less severe consequences, the quizzes cover a lot of topics too!

Napsblook - he’s pretty social, but not too social b/c introvert vibes- Napsblook is aromatic, and he uses he/they pronouns(mainly he/him)- Napsblook doesn’t mind being called Blooky by anyone. Napsblook isn’t on Mettaton’s show b/c of the noises and lights, so he helps Alphys in the lab instead b/c he doesn’t mind watching the show on TV since the lights are less bright and the sounds are less loud- Napsblook does have a vessel but its a lot smaller than Mettaton due to lack of resources </3

Frisk - Frisk is one of the few humans who tried to communicate with Sans. Frisk isn’t used to people being nice to them b/c of his home life. Frisk is genderqueer and uses any pronouns, including neopronouns, and ze is demisexual. Frisk had a crush on a cute Deaf girl but she was murdered.

Chara - Chara is blind, and they were lead to the mountain by their so called friends. Chara is nonbinary, and they are questioning their sexuality- Chara was born on October 31st, 1992 & the year is 2003, so Chara is 11 years old. Chara fell at 8 years old. Chara uses Asriel as their seeing-person. Chara got cancer and they weren’t able to beat cancer due to lack of medical stuff required to help fight cancer.

Asriel - Asriel is really shy and timid at first, but he opens up if you’re deemed not a threat! Asriel is sensitive to sound, and how Asriel copes with really loud noises can vary, but the common reaction for Asriel is hitting someone that is the closest to Asriel. Asriel(and Flowey) is 11, like Chara. Asriel uses he/them, and Azzy is bisexual. Azzy is Asriel’s nickname

Flowey - he’s a lil shit, but they do get nervous when Chara is mentioned, b/c he and Azzy are the same person.

Asgore - Asgore doesn’t want to hurt anyone anymore, but he has no idea how to tell Toriel that he doesn’t want war anymore.

Any headcanons you have for the Dreemurr kids (or UT/DR in general)?

oh gosh, a lot. nothing anyone hasn't really encountered if they've taken a gander at my fic! i love the idea of chara being very creative and tactile and loving to get their hands in things. they like feeling functional and accomplished, so hands-on hobbies like baking and gardening with a tangible end product would be very rewarding. they also are very verbose and well-read for their age, perhaps too much so. but i think if you follow the narrator chara theory, that's less headcanon and more just...canonical subtext. i like to think they can be quite neat and orderly compared to asriel, who may be more liable to like leave his crayons on the floor or accidentally track dirt inside the house. though asriel would just be doing those sorts of things by accident because he's excited about/occupied by something else. as soon as he realizes he's made a mess, he'll clean it up because he's a nice boy. having been raised feeling safe and secure in a stable, loving home, i would picture that asriel would feel safer to make small mistakes like leaving something out on the dining table or scattered on the floor. i think early on there would be a long process of unpacking why chara may be more skiddish about taking up space or less prone to childish messes because they had to learn to make themself scarce on the surface for their own protection. i imagine conversely, chara would also sometimes snap and be too loud or too harsh or too [insert disruptive/destructive behavior here] sometimes out of sheer need to defy the way they were oppressed and cornered on the surface a lot of the time. making them feel safe and like they can begin to unlearn these maladaptive behaviors would be a full time job... also i agree with the popular idea that chara and asriel made OCs together and they are the demon that comes when you call its name and the absolute god of hyperdeath. lmao

(i also think asriel looks up to chara a lot, sometimes for all the wrong reasons. and being seen as valuable and worth emulating does a lot to help chara's self worth while also kind of making them fear losing that. so they might take advantage of that dynamic sometimes when they shouldn't. though, i think asriel would be eventually capable of dishing it out in return when chara is being a little shit. i like to think chara fell when they were like 8 or 9 and lived underground until they were 12 so they had a few years to grow and fall into a rhythm together.)

for frisk, i firmly think they're not as perfect of a child as some might think. and gaining that reputation post-pacifist might be kind of stressful for them. i do think they are probably like 10 or 11 when the games' events play out and that they fully had no idea what was going on and were terrified for the first couple of runs. (something that comes into play in my fic! lol) which, again makes them feel guilty when nobody else remembers their mistakes and think they did things perfectly the first go. i think frisk would take comfort in the company of flowey and chara, who are also imperfect but still worthy of love. seeing that be true for the two of them would help frisk recognize that that also applies to themself. (': flowey would similarly struggle post-pacifist with the idea that how people remember him (asriel) isn't how he actually is. (in a scenario where people find out his past identity.) i think he and frisk would be able to relate about that.

also, i think frisk is less of a reader than chara so in a body-sharing post-pacifist scenario (again like my fic LOL) they let chara doing the studying and reading and stuff a lot of the time. though, they are more physically inclined than chara and are more likely to do things like play team sports or run around and get all sweaty and dirty in gym class. (get sweaty and then have to put your normal clothes back on and return to class like that? chara would never.)

and kris uhhhh has pierced one of their ears with a needle and a block of ice at home and has absolutely been caught by toriel looking up stick and poke tattoo guides on wikihow. they're very much in their "i'm 16 and this is deep" angst phase, but their reasons for feeling a bit like an outsider are unfortunately pretty damn valid. i think kris is neat and trying their best, actually, and is ultimately a harmless person. they just also like being the town cryptid. i also like to think they originally learned to play the piano because they wanted some sweet good kid talent to match whatever the hell copious sweet good kid things asriel was doing. but then they ended up really liking it and started arranging their favorite video game music for the piano as a hobby. imagine walking into the hometown hospital because your appendix is about to burst and someone is playing kirby music.

This is just my Undertale au, feel free to read

Undertale au

Asten

What his voice would sound like : Hullabaloo-Rare Americans

Year 1:

Asten falls to the underground (age 8)

All that stuff with asreil and Chara has already happened but asgore chose to spare any humans who feel down

Asten is the first human to fall down since Chara

Toreil and Asgore live in the ruins, they take Asten in and care for him

Year 2:

Asten age 9

Dr.Gaster adopts Asten from Asgore and Toriel because they think he would be a better fit parental figure

Sans age 11 Papyrus age 8

Year 3-6:

Asten age 10-13 Sans age 12-15 Papyrus age 9-12

Asten and sans have started helping Gaster in the lab with his experiments

By the end of year 6 they have been able to slowly start discovering the multiverse and other au's

Gaster discovers that Astens soul is different from other humans, he is able to summon magical attacks like monsters can

Astens soul was a pure glowy white, this was a soul color that no one had ever seen before

Gaster researched it and came to the conclusion that this soul color was called "hope"

Year 7:

Asten age 14 Sans age 16 Papyrus age 13

Gaster, Asten, and Sans have fully discovered the multiverse and have begun experimenting/investigating ways to travel through the multiverse

Year 8:

Asten age 15 Sans age 17 papyrus age 14

They told Papyrus about the multiverse and he starts to help in the experiments

Asten starts exhibiting strange behavior, he starts "glitching" randomly and it causes immense pain

Year 9:

Asten age 16 Sans age 18 Papyrus age 15

They have discovered a way to travel to an au named "x tale" they made and alliance with x gaster and have agreed to help eachother with the discoveration of the multiverse

X gaster notices that Asten is "different" and is unexpectedly smarter than the others, he needs his help making the 'overwrite' button

X gaster convinces Asten that they will be making the 'overwrite'button to help genocide timelines and 'rewrite' them into pacifist worlds

Asten agrees to help

Astens 'glitching' has gotten much worse, they can sometime last hours and he is unable to speak or control his movement when he has his "episodes"

Year 10-13:

Asten age 17-19 Sans age 19-21 Papyrus age 15-18

Over the past 3 years Asten has been helping X gaster make the 'overwrite' button

Gaster,Sans, and Papyrus have been working on discovering new au's

Asten is still having his glitching episodes, he describes it as every nerve in your body is exploding over and over again

Year 13:

Asten age 19 Sans age 21 Papyrus age 18

Frisk falls to the underground

Sans believes that with Frisk's Determination soul it could be enough to break the barrier that is keeping them trapped in the underground

Asten wants to protect frisk because they are both 'humans'

Asten and Frisk face down sans in the judgement hall

Asten says "why should we kill them? We are both humans, could you imagine killing me when I fell down? We need to give them a chance!"

Sans responds with " We don't know what they could do! They could go crazy and kill us all! And your not a human ! Heck your not even a monster either! We don't know what the hell you are!"

Asten says "I'm your brother! That's what I am"

Sans says " Your not even my brother! Your just some crazy creature that has no place in the universe!"

San's burst if anger filled Asten with frustration, rage, and sadness. Through all his emotions Asten isn't able to control himself,he attacks sans without thinking, which ends up with Sans dieing

Asten realizes what he has done,he starts begging for Frisk to reset the timeline but before Frisk could X gaster inturupted, killing frisk and restraining Asten

He wanted to test out the 'overwrite' button

Nothing else better to test on than the au he had perfect access to

He say how heartbroken Asten was when he had accidentally killed his brother

So he overwrite the timeline and made a new story for them

"Frisk, Chara, and Asriel are still alive and living with Asgore and Toriel in the ruins.

Asten falls to the underground, except this time he is emotionless

He starts a genocide route

After killing everyone in the whole underground, not letting anyone escape he resets the timeline and does genocide all again"

Genocide:

576 resets

After the first reset Astens soul turned from a pure white to a deep black which many people see as "Hate"

Overtime Asten was able to regain consciousness and was aware of what he was doing but he couldn't control what his body was programed to do

He had to suffer watching himself kill his family and friends over and over and over again

After some time he was able to gain control of his body for usually around 1-3 minutes

In those times he was able to slowly gain the knowledge of how to make and use a 'delete' button

Asten was planning to delete his au to stop all the misery and pain he had caused to his family and friends

On the 576 reset after killing everyone instead of resetting he was able to delete his world

2 years in total time have passed through all of the resets

Asten is still 19

Void:

After deleting his world he was stranded in the void

One day Ink had stumbled upon Asten wandering around

Over time Asten and Ink had become great friends, ink was able to teach Asten how to make portals to different au's

They would explore au's together and Asten even helped ink make some

While in the void Asten had developed black feathery wings, and red devil looking tail, ram like horns, and pale ish yellow skin

He developed these things from being outside of his original code(his au)

2 years have passed Asten is 21

One day while wandering around the void Asten stumbleded upon Error who was lost and scared in the void after glitching out of the screen of his au

The void had also changed his appearance from a normal sans to what he looks like now

Asten took him in and introduced him to Ink

At this moment in time Ink and Error didn't have their whole rivalry

Overtime Ink and Error had become like new brothers to Asten, Asten was able to put his past behind him but Error and ink were always curios. ink had never found Astens au

Ink had introduced Asten and Error to Dream who had also become a great friends of Asten

5 years have passed Asten is 26

One day while facing down with Nightmare and Killer, Asten was "killed"

But Astens soul and spirit had only become scattered, his physical body died but his spirit lived on. It took Asten 3 years to regather himself and re build his physical body

While those 3 years had passed Error and Ink had slowly drifted apart

Without Asten they had started realized that they had nothing in common and their rivalry had begun

Within these 3 years Ink had made his Deal with X gaster

While these 12 years have passed X Gaster had been improving the Overwrite button

After:

When Asten was able to rebuild his body and spirit he begun searching for Ink and Error

The events of Underverse have been happening while Asten was searching

Asten had found Dream first, Asten explained what happened with him for the past 3 years

Dream explained everything that had happened with Cross, Ink and X gaster

Asten immediately agreed to help them, he wanted to help Ink and most of all he wanted revenge on X gaster

They were able to get back Sans, Red and Blue back to help them fight

That's all I have so far lol

When The Fell Brothers and Love got in the Lab, Nightmare and his gang had came up to “greet” them. “Well, well. Who do we have here?” Nightmare looked at their LV. “Humm. Your LV is crap. But at least you ain't those ‘heroes.’ What do you call each other?”

Edge growled, “Edge, Red, and Love. And we ain't here to join your little LV Gentlemen's Club. Where is our father? We know Fell is here!”

Gori hovers his hands over Sweetheart, “It's okay Sweetie, you are going to be okay.” Sweetheart, a Frisk with flowers growing from their body, lifted their arm which Gori grabbed. His Green Magic isn't strong enough and he knows that Sweetheart also knows. But they kept on smiling anyways. “Sis? Is there anything we can do?”

“I can ease their pain, nice and quick.” A pink wearing girl said with a deadpan face.

A tiny Tori made a face of pure disgust, “Mercy killing is not on the cards.” A girl in a shredded purple dress ran to Sweetheart, using her body as a possible shield for a possible attack. “Don't worry Aliza. Betty isn't going to touch Sweetheart.”

A Chara step in, “Stay away from Sweetheart, Betty. Unless you want to have a Bad Time.” An Asriel with a rainbow bandana grabbed the Chara by the arm.

“Hey, Shifty. Your identity is showing. By the way what kind of name is Shifty anyways?” Betty mocked the red head.

Shifty shrugged, “Just borrowing it from a friend who was also borrowing from another friend. To be honest no one knows the real identity of the original Shifty.” Betty scuft, mouthed 'weirdo,’ and walked to the farthest side of their cell. Shifty kneeled down closer to Sweetheart and the others, “Don't trust her, guys. The fact she knew what I meant means she heard it before.”

Tori nodded, “Definitely a Genocide kid.” The door to the room opened, “Speaking of Genocide, here is Death with Geno.” Tori and Shifty left their brothers and Aliza with Sweetheart. “Hey Death? Any news?”

The God of Death opened the cell door and gently gave an unconscious Geno to his friends. “Slim and Black have returned over an hour ago. They ain't talking. Worried their cover will be blown. Sci is in bad shape but still alive. Hyper have a message from outside, 'Get ready. Karma is coming.’ I gotta go. Wait for the signal.” Then he left.

Damnit. Damnit. Damnit. Where are they? Yandere looked all over the True Labs and didn't find his spouse. “Never seen a gray skinned human without a face before. Not only that but your SOUL keeps changing color. Interesting.” Fell's voice was coming from the room with the DT Extraction Machine. Yandere followed the voice. The description of the person Fell was talking about sounds like his better half.

A month before Yandere and his loving mate fell into a rip. It felt like his universe was ripped to pieces and then put itself back together. He rushed upstairs when he heard a scream from the master bedroom. “Flowery? What happened to me?” There stood a gray faceless creature. “Daisy. Daisy! DAISY!” The creature was saying their panic word as if a thousand of people was saying it insync. Flowery yelled their name only for it to sound like static.

Yandere shook his head. Clearing all thoughts of the past. It was hard. Their friends and the monsters were very supportive. But everyone else. The humans denied them as a member of their kind. Yandere shook his head again and looked around through the vents.

Not only was his spouse strapped to a table in front of the god awful mechanical abomination, but a bruised and naked skeleton was lying on the floor in a corner. Fell was more interested in the flower’s spouse than the skeleton that is clearly hurt, most likely from Fell himself.

Yandere moved to the vent closer to the skeleton. “Sci? Wake up, Science.” Sci flinched and opened his eye sockets. Before he said anything, “blink your sockets one for ‘yes’ and two for ‘no’. Okay?” One blink. “Are you okay?” Two blink. “Can you stand?” Two blink. “Okay. I am here with the calvary. Stay still and I will get help.” One blink.

Death joined a fellow “villain.” He introduced the other cloaked skeleton as his “quiet brother” to the others. Death kept his hands off this skeleton, not knowing if his companion would survive his touch. Death got the reputation for being a villain because, well, he is the Grim Reaper himself, and no one questioned that the tall hooded man was his Papyrus. No one questioned him period.

“I saw them earlier.” The Reaper reports. “The formal Royal Scientist is coming with some help. Prepare to travel with passengers.” His companion nodded. And left.

Then everyone in the Nightmare Squad started to laugh! Dust, a Sans with his hood covering the top of his reddish purple eyes walked up to the Edgy counterparts. “So you are Fell's Sans and Papyrus? Bad news for you, I guess… Just bad.” Dust thrown a collection of bones at Edge, Red, and Love.

Nightmare snickered, “Tell that Goddess of yours that she have to do better than that.” The Nightmare Squad save for Dust walked back to the elevator. “That is if you and your friends can survive.” The elevator door closed. Damnit. They knew they were coming.

“Pysst! Pysst!” VI, Sans, and Stretch arrived in the True Lab. Yandere got their attention from a nearby vent. “Some friends of mine can be found in the main cell, a younger Sans that we call Sci and my spouse is with Fell at the DT Extraction Machine, and Red, Edge, and Love are fighting Dust in the lobby.”

“do I even want to know who dust is?” Sans lost all humor in his voice and let out a long sigh when VI shook her head. “the main cell is not far from where we are. the DT Extractor is farther ahead.” Sans eyelights shined brightly for a moment, “yandere? how do you feel about going omega on the true lab?”

Yandere smiled his creepiest smirk, “Start with the Extractor first and work my way up to the main floor?”

“you got it pedals! how fast can you collect the souls needed?”

"Already ahead of ya.”

The lobby was a mess. But then again, three skeletons with a good amount of LV battling a psycho with full LV. Of course it would get messy.

Scorched marks and bones scattered everywhere. The three edgy skellys were out if breath even though they didn't have any lungs. They managed to defeat Dust without killing him, simply knocked him out cold.

Dust made two mistakes. The first one was the fact he underestimated three monsters from AUs that lived by a 'kill or be killed’ rule. The second mistake he made was overestimating his own power. It didn't mattered if his LV was 20 when he was outnumbered with three others with LV 8-14.

Love smiled, “i wanna go down there and get sweetheart.”

“HEH!” Edge slapped his new adopted brother's shoulder, “I CAN'T WAIT TO MEET YOUR SOULMATE! BUT WE MUST WAIT FOR OUR FRIENDS.”

“sounds like a plan to me!” Red gave his taller alternet a wink. And pointed his thumb towards the unconscious skeleton, “besides. we gotta get sleeping beauty tied up.”

Yandere looked out through the vent. He was debating on how to go Omega without hurting Sci or his spouse. His glasses will definitely be broken after this. Not that his glasses mattered, his Honeypot is what matters.

Best to remove Fell Gaster from the room. But how?

Something wet dripped on his head. Yandere was frozen for a second, the flower turn around slowly and saw…. His dog?

“Endogeny. Good puppies! Did you followed me and Mommy through the AU Rip?” Endogeny was a little smaller compared to their original size thanks to the heat of Hotland and a little bit of DETERMINATION that had revived them when he and his lover, now spouse, gave their ashes to Alphys on the surface five years ago. “Hey? You see that mean skeleton with Mommy?” Yandere smiled at the low growl coming from Endogeny. “Wanna help me get back Mommy?”

The sounds of destruction were heard deeper in the labs. “What the hell is going on?” Nightmare and his crew left their prisoners alone with Death and his brother to tell Fell off for destroying their lab.

Black and Slim joined the reapers just as they were unlocking the cell. “welp. time to go.” Everyone turned towards the direction of the familiar voice. Slim and Black gave a sigh of relief at the site of VI, Sans, and Stretch. “everyone ready?”

The Reapers, Stretch and VI took the lead. While Sans, Black, and Slim took the rear. Aliza, Rei (Shifty's Asriel), and Gori were keeping Geno and Sweetheart on their feet. While the smol Tori and the Chara with the green hoodie kept their eyes on any potential threats, including the pink girl with the creepy ass smile.

“Glad to see ya again.” Stretch smiled at the tall Reaper skeleton. “Sorry I couldn't save ya.” The hooded figure nodded and gave Stretch a firm pat on his shoulder.

How the hell did an Omega Flowery got this far in!? Not only did he destroyed the DTEM, but have a hold of the gray human and the young Sans. And as if to mock them the Omega was playing with what looks like an Endogeny type of puppy, while at the same time had them at a standstill.

Nightmare gave orders for his crew to follow. Killer tried to stabbed the Omega while Error wrapped the Flowery up with his blue strings. Only for the Flowery snapped the strings and used a vine to toss Killer off of him. Dust was still in the lobby playing around with the Fells. Blood, his brother, and Pred were still in Waterfall. And the Reapers are guarding the kids. And Fell… is utterly useless against an Omega. But where the hell is Black and Slim?! Very convenient that they aren't…

Fuck!

“THE OMEGA IS A DISTRACTION! BACK TO THE MAIN CELL!” Nightmare was outraged. How did he not sense the HOPE from the prisoners? That would be a dead give away that something was up. Also he stopped sensing Dust's emotions a while ago. Dust would have relaid his brother's report by now. Dust was the only one who can see or hear his dead brother, Phantom. Making him the ultimate spy, but he had to play with the Fells!

The Omega broke through, passed the Destroyers using his vines to block the exit. “Wish I can stay, but we have places to be, kids to save. Later losers!” The Omega Flowery used his claws and vines to move thru the corridors that lead to the elevator. The gray human and Science hold on for dear life onto the screen face.

When they made it to the elevator the others were already there. Sans waved them over, “okay, here is the plan. The kids will go through first with the swapfells and the death guys. The rest of you go next while stretch and i are last to go in since he and i can use Karmic Retribution.”

The Chara and Tori gave each other a knowing look before the door open. They stood behind with the second group. As the first group made it to the lobby floor Geno was much more wake and standing up without help. He lend towards Shifty and Tori, “are the kids safe?” His two friends nod. Geno let out a breath smiling, “good, now the three of us don't have to pretend anymore.”

Before Sans and Stretch had a chance to question Geno's statement some of Nightmare's gang started showing up. “Heh. Let's say Karma is always on these guys’ side.” VI winked at Sans and Stretch. Geno, Shifty, and Tori moved in position. “Looks like the Nightmare Gang is going to learn the real meaning of ‘ A BAD TIME.” At those words an army of Blasters and an entire arsenal of bones, flames and red knives was over their heads, revealing that Geno, Tori, and Shifty are all Judges.

Luckily for the second group the elevator door opened. The second group, including Yandere (who is no longer in Omega form), got in while the five Judges and VI stayed behind. “Go! We will slow them down and teleport back afterwards!”

When the second group joined the others in the main floor they were surprised that the kids was nowhere to be seen. Only ones to meet them was Love, the Fells and a very angry Dust tied to a chair. At the sight of Sweetheart, Love picked them up and showered them with skelly kisses and words of affection. Sweetheart smiled when they recognized his voice and build. Sadly Edge had to break their heartfelt reunion. “Sorry Brother Love, but we have to get Sweetheart and the others to the river.”

When they arrived at the river one of Death Bros was there waiting with a very familiar ferry boat, "Tra la-la! Come on and meet Charon, my friends."

"are you kidding me! you're a river person?" Red looked at his brothers, "are you guys seeing what I am seeing?"

"RED, I THINK THIS PERSON IS MORE THEN WHAT HIS APPEARS TO BE. ESPECIALLY IF HE IS TRAPPED IN THE VOID AS WE ARE." Edge stepped onboard and took Sweetheart out of Love's arms so he can also get on.

Once everyone was in the ferry boat. It took off towards Snowdin. It moved faster and faster. Running on top of the water.

"Thanks for saving us FlowJo." The gray human said as they were hugging the glasses wearing Flowery.

"flowjo?" Red tilted his head towards the flower, "i thought ya name was yandere?"

"My spouse calls me FlowJo." Yandere smiled, "Not my fault everyone else called me that stupid nickname." Yandere Flowery gave a deep breath and sighed, "Believe it or not, I am the only Flowery that actually found love. Actually, that is not necessarily true. There was once an endless amount of Flowerys that fell in love with a human with a color changing SOUL before something happened to our AU's timelines. My Sans' theory was that many timelines that mirrored my AU fused together."

"Making you the only Flowery that commit to a marriage deed. And how your human became gray, faceless, and free." The River Person looked on, "Tra la-la! The Multiverse is a mystery even for me!"

The lab from the inside-out got trashed. The Au Destroyers couldn't keep up with the Judges and Soulless Goddess. VI grabbed Sans and Stretch and led them back home with the others by 'shortcut.'

"EVERYONE THROUGH THE FOG!" No one remembered which Judge yelled that. But it got everyone on their feet and running through the fog that separates Snowdin and Waterfall. And in the nick of time too.

Tori looked behind her and the others to see the Nightmare Crew right behind them. Only for them to hit the barrier like a murder of crows hitting a window.

"that was satisfying..." Geno smiled and started to walk farther inside the fog, "hope the kids made it."

Tori then started to run, "Shit! We left Sweetheart and Aliza with Betty!"

Swifty, Geno, and the others started to run as well. Except VI who stood there with a cunning thought, "Bete Noire? That gives me a wonderful idea."

Chara Headcanon

Remember that Chara would have easily been able to RESET after their death, as they possessed a determination SOUL. But they didn’t. Not before you kill everyone, they even CONSIDER a RESET. They instead prefer staying DEAD (possibly so Asgore will keep collecting souls and save monster kind).

Chara may be mean but unless you start the genocide, they NEVER suggest killing anyone.

Life on the Surface. At the age of 8-10, Chara climbed Mt Ebott. Legends said they would never return. It's possible that Chara got bullied. Their parents didn't care enough or perhaps they were already dead. When the child looked down a hole that would surely kill them if they fell down, Chara considered suicide. They refused but tripped and fell down. They didn't really want to die, so they called out for help. Called for someone on the surface... and then Asriel appeared.

Life in the Underground. After being adopted by the Dreemurrs, Chara surely experienced a happy childhood. They loved their family, knitted a sweater for their dad and ate the snail pie that Toriel made until they actually got used to the taste. Asgore noticed how much Chara loved the Golden Flowers, so he decided to show them how to take care of a garden. It is likely that Chara had a very good relationship with their dad so they even wanted to bake a pie for him. Still being inexperienced, Chara mistook „cups of butter“ for „buttercups“ and made Asgore very sick. They were unaware that buttercups were poisonous but still felt guilty. They laughed it off, trying to hide it (a very common theme for Chara and for other UT characters). Later Chara managed to make friends with other monsters like Snowdrake. They loved toys (and seem to be less mature than Frisk) and watched Anime (which is the reason they know what a „Tsundere“ is). But Chara still decided to read and gain more knowledge (given by their large vocabulary), hoping to never make that mistake ever again.

Suicide attempts. At some point, there was a change in this behavior. It is possible that Asgore and Toriel didn't tell Chara right away how the monsters were trapped Underground or that it was still a consequence from the buttercup-incident. Either way, after hearing about the war of humans and monsters, Chara hated humanity more than ever before. Usually, someone would call a horrible person a „monster“ so instead Chara called them „demons“. Chara wanted to make up for everything and thought they were the only ones who could do it. They wanted to sacrifice themselves but after possibly a failed suicide attempt, the Dreemurrs hid away all sharp and pointed objects, including knives. Chara hid what could be called another depression with a smile. A forced and unreal one, seemingly creepy. After some time Chara got better and often used this smile as a joke.

The plan. Chara's birthday/anniversary would soon arrive. Toriel and Asgore started to trust Chara a little more with tools, so they decided to give them a worn dagger which would be perfect for cutting plants and vines. Asriel got Chara a heart locket. Meanwhile, Chara and Asriel had a plan. Chara would eat the buttercups. After Chara died and their soul would appear, Asriel was supposed to absorb their soul. Asriel wasn't really fond of that plan. He was fully aware of having to kill six humans and was okay with it after everything he had heard from Chara about their race. The only thing that Asriel really didn't want was losing Chara. But Chara was okay with that! As long as no other family member would have to suffer.

Back on the Surface. Neither Asriel nor Chara knew that power would be split between them. It is still unclear to me why exactly Chara picked up their own body and carried it to the Surface, though it's possible they didn't want to upset Toriel and Asgore too much or perhaps Chara was in something like a state of trance. Still confused about what was happening, just picking up the body in front of them and carrying it to a bed of Golden Flowers. After that Chara either planned to kill 6 random innocent people (like Undyne when she tried to kill a human for the greater good) or 6 specific people (people who would deserve it, their bullies or parents for example). The humans saw Asriel together with the dead body of a child. They were frightened and attacked out of fear, not hatred. They didn't intend to be evil and Asriel could see that. Chara demanded to kill those people, to save Asriel. Asriel refused. He picked up Chara's body, feeling that his sibling should have a proper burial, and went back to the castle, then collapsed in the throne room where his dust spread together with the seeds of the Golden Flowers.

Aftermath. Asgore declared war against humanity. Shocked by his actions, Toriel left him and took Chara's body with her. In the ruins, she buried the child. The seeds stuck to Chara's body later let Golden Flowers grow. Meanwhile, Gaster created the core, taking Chara's soul as the power source. A red, determination soul.

…

Many years later. Confused. Guilty. A disappointment... to everyone. Another human child falls down into the Underground. This time, however, it's a child with a red determination soul – just like Chara's. The fall of the human child woke Chara up from their slumber. Through determination and with the help of the core, Chara is able to follow you. Everywhere where the light shines that is powered by the core, you can hear Chara's voice but can't see their body. On a side note, Chara is the one naming the soundtracks.

Pacifist. On this run, Chara stays rather optimistic. They give you advice, translate monsters' dialogue and on top of that you are giving them a chance to grow with every ACTion you take. But they still feel guilty for what happened in the past. They make puns (like Sans) and sometimes even laugh. I am still unsure if it is just a part of their personality or if they are hiding something (a depression perhaps). But with your guidance, Chara sees that even humans can be good. They see that you should live for someone instead of dying for them. In the final battle, you can save Chara. In return, Chara helps you to save Asriel. And after everything is done, Chara stays in the Underground just like Asriel.

Genocide. On this run, Chara becomes pessimistic even after you have only killed a single monster. After killing more than 20 monsters, they seem to become sadistic. Looking at the dog food in Alphy's lab, they are reminded of the dogs you killed, at the same time Chara laughs. But it is also possible that Chara hides the pain they feel at this moment by laughing it off. After just getting killed by cruel humans, you show them that they were right from the very beginning. And when you reach the end of the battle with Sans and are trapped in his special attack, Chara hopes that this is it and perhaps the genocide will end. But they are wrong. You still manage to pull your weapon and attack. Nothing will end before it's over, so Chara makes it end by force and kills Sans. After watching Asgore die, you have the choice. Restart the game or kill Flowey. If you decide to kill Flowey, Chara will strike like a total maniac until they are sure Flowey is dead.

The end. When you meet Chara in the end, they are smiling. They call themselves a „demon“ - Their self-esteem dropped to zero. And when you decide not to erase the world, despite already having destroyed it, Chara will hate you more than anything else. The world is not worth living anymore. But in Chara's opinion, you are sick. They were already planning to destroy the world before they asked you to do it, so they say „Since when were you the one in control?“. In the end, it is justice. Killing a sick murderer.

A new pacifist run. If you play another pacifist run, Chara gets mad at you. After all, why would someone who has killed everyone still get a happy ending with their victims? After selling your soul, Chara is able to take over control even after leaving the Underground. This way they can remind you every day if what you have done. Not by killing someone but by showing it to you.

All-Stars -Story Mode- [CHAPTER 2]

I know, it’s a bit too early and I had wrote this second chapter on Google Docs but I had thought about it recently hours later after I had posted til I decided: What the hell? I’ll post the second one. ;3

-Chapter 2-

After Boris locked the door, they were surrounded in darkness, no sight to see but they are able to hear their own breathes and knowing it’s their own and someone else’s. There’s nothing to do but wait…

Then, they heard the light switch flicked on and the lights gone on with a dim and saw the bunker in the light.

It does looked like an ordinary home for a normal family to stay in, it had a couch, a wooden wire spool for a table, oven, sink, a fridge and a room with bunk beds. Even a bathroom.

Boris walked over to the wire spool table and placed down his backpack on it as Bendy ran eagerly to look at what Boris had brought.

‘’So so so??’’ Bendy asked so very eagerly, ‘’What did you got with you? What did you go with you?’’

Boris held up his finger and got out a can that read ‘’Bacon Soup’’ on it, then showed Bendy that he had got 7 cans of Bacon Soup. 7 cans of soup means it can last 7 days of food.

Bendy clapped his hands happily as he looked at the cans, ‘’Woo! Good more soup!’’ the greedy Ink Demon said with glee and then he looked over at the two cups and the human child as he asked ‘’Did you have something for them as well Boris?’’

Boris had yet again held his finger out as he rummaging through the backpack and he got out a blue metal kettle and 8 cups of metal cups and 3 metal mugs along with the ingredients needed to make coffee.

The two brothers smiled at each other as they looked at the set of kettle and cups with mugs along with the ingredients had reminded them of home back in Inkwell.

Frisk looked at the Cup brothers and smiled with comfort as they reminded the human child of the two Skele brothers as well.

*Even though this isn’t like home.

*But watching the smile on the brothers’ faces,

*it fills you with DETERMINATION.

*And comfort.

Frisk walked over to the table as they took off their backpack and placed it on the table and rummaged through to get out their own food they had got from the convent store earlier.

Bendy looked over to Frisk and said ‘’Well, since you meet my friend Boris and know my name already, I guess it’s time to tell me your name, So what is it?’’

*You gave Bendy the Dancing Demon your name.

‘’Frisk huh? Nice to meet you. Do you know what is happening here?’’ Bendy asked. Frisk shook their head, implying that they don’t know.

‘’I see. We were trying to figure that out since we got here. But…’’ Bendy said before his sentence had faded as he looked at the ceiling. The look he had on his face was wonder as the two brothers noticed this.

‘’What is it?’’ Mugman asked to Bendy, who looked at him. ‘’Before you guys came along, I think we were the first ones here on the day before you came. We found ourselves with a tree with pinkish white flowers, what is it called?’’

‘’Cherry blossom tree, never heard of it before but okay, it was near sunset but even through me and Boris never saw one before, it’d felt peaceful just seeing it. But it gotten even something more… What is that word again?’’

‘’Wonderful?’’ Cuphead said as Bendy looked at him, ‘’Wonderful! That’s it! Wonderful!’’ he said as Mugman and Frisk looked at Bendy like he was a child, as if the child is a Ink Demon. Bendy lowered and uppered his head like a bird swooping down to catch its prey.

‘’When night time came, the blossoms… They began to glow white while the wind breeze by, petals flying away like shooting stars. The light of those simples as them too.’’ Bendy continued with his story.

‘It’d must’ve been very beautiful.’’ Mugman commented on Bendy’s story as he could already imaged what if him and his brother were there to see the trees glow then Cuphead said ‘’But, we never thought of the trees would do something like this before. How is that possible?’’

Then that’s when Frisk raised their hand if they had a suggestion, winch caught Bendy’s attention. ‘’Yes Frisk?’’ Bendy asked.

*You told Bendy that the glowing cherry blossom trees at night time had reminded them of Echo Flowers from the Underground.

*Others had noticed you said

Underground.

‘’You been into an underground? Was it a cave or a…’’ Cuphead said before Frisk shook their head as they decided to tell this tale.

Long time ago, two races ruled over earth:

Humans and Monsters.

They had been in peace for years until one day, war broke out between the two races.

In the end, it was the race of men achieved victory in the war against the monsters and sealed them in the underground caverns with a spell.

Then years later, a child climbed up Mount Ebott with an unhappy reason till they tipped and fell into the Underground, the prince named Asriel had found the injured human child and took them back home.

The prince’s parents decided to the adopt the human and hope had reigned in the Underground, they knew this would bring the two worlds together again.

Until one horrible day, the human had fallen ill to an unknown disease and dying.

The human’s life was withering away as they requested that they want to see the flowers in their village just one last time but with the barrier up, there’s nothing that they could do.

Then a day came and the human gave in to the illness and died in their bed.

Asriel, overcome with grief of the lost of their sibling, absorbed their soul and his soul became fused with the human’s, turning into his powerful form.

He then took the human’s cold lifeless body and actually crossed the barrier to carry the human back to their village.

As he reached the village, he laid the body down the bed of flowers and stood in the silence of the night until he heard a scream ringed out. The villagers looked at the prince and the child and began to attack Asriel because they all thought he had killed his friend.

The prince had the power to destroy all with just a tip of a finger but he refused to fight back and instead took a blow after blow from the humans.

They all severely damaged him after they gave it all they could throw at him but he smiled and walked away with the human’s body still in his arms.

Asriel crossed the barrier and came back to the Underground, lethally wounded, his body fell down on top of the garden of flowers and died with the human child next to him. Once deceased, his body turned to dust and scattered across the garden.

The Underground’s ruler, Asgore, angered out of grief, declared that the war will begin and every human who falls down will die.

And over the years, 6 humans had met the same fate…

Well… All but one.

Frisk, the human of DETERMINATION fell down to the Underground and befriended the whole Monster race and broke the barrier with the help of Flowey who turned out be Asriel, resurrected as a flower.

Peace has reigned once more for the two races…

‘’Whoa…’’ Mugman said, ‘’You have befriended every monster in the underground kingdom? Even after they tried to kill you?’’

Frisk nodded yes as an answer.

Bendy smiled and said ‘’That’s quite a tale, came from the underground.’’

‘’Undertale?’’ Cuphead said as Frisk giggled at the name for the tale. ‘’That sounds very brave of you Frisk!’’ Mugman said.

Boris nodded as he too agreed with Mugman, Bendy smiled a little bit as he looked at Cuphead and said ‘’Do you two have a story of your own?’’

‘’Well, it’s not much like Frisk’s but we do.’’ Cuphead answered as Boris opened the can of soup and pours it into a pot so he can make dinner.

He tells them a story of him and his brother had wandered away under Elder Kettle’s nose while he was asleep and gone to the casino in Inkwell despite their caretaker’s warning to play craps that lead them a winning streak till the Devil himself came and raises the stakes by offering Cuphead a deal if they win the bet but ultimately lose when he rolled snake eyes.

He continues on with their story as they ate their dinner and laughed at their mistakes, Frisk smiled as they were reminded of Papyrus’s cooking with their friends.

*Cuphead and Mugman’s story is fascinating to listen.

*You can tell they like to get into troubles till they got into a big one with the Devil.

*Hearing them triumph against the Devil and saved Inkwell Isles fills you with DETERMINATION.

When they all started yawning as they went somewhere in 12 o’clock at midnight, they all decided to hit the hay as they went for the bunk beds but Boris stayed in the living room with a tommy gun to stand guard while they all get some sleep for tomorrow.

Cuphead and Frisk got top while Bendy and Mugman got the low bunk as they tucked themselves into the blankets, trying to fend off the cold till Cuphead and Bendy fell asleep first as Mugman and Frisk stayed awake.

There was silence for moment until Mugman said ‘’Frisk?’’, Frisk looked looked down at Mugman after they had heard their name been called with a confused look on their face.

‘’C-can the Devil be here in… Where ever we are?’’ Mugman asked at the human child, who just shrugged their shoulders as this add to Mugman’s worry. ‘’F-frisk, we do remember that the whole isles had been taken with us after that attack from the Devilings. I-if they were here, t-they would…’’ he continued with the fear toned his voice.

*Mugman is worried that the Devil may be back for revenge.

*You knew this by the tone in his voice,

*You assured Mugman that him and his brother, Cuphead

*had beaten the Devil and his lackeys before so if he is here,

*they can do it again.

Mugman smiled as Frisk gave him a comforting smile, he known that smile when he was a kid, it’s the same one that Elder Kettle gave him and his brother whenever they’re feel scared. That made feel better thanks to Frisk.

‘’A-alright, you’re right Frisk. We done it before and we can do it again if the Devil really is back, anyway, we better get some sleep or else, we’ll just be tired as sloths!’’ Mugman said as Frisk giggled at his reply.

‘’Anyway, good night Frisk. See you in the morning.’’ Mugman said as he went to sleep.

*Despite being away from your family,

*Mugman reminded you of Asriel Dreemurr before he turned back into Flowey the Flower.

*You still do wished if there’s a way to bring Asriel back.

*You are DETERMINED to figure out what’s happening.

*But you need to get some rest first.

Frisk rolled over as they pulled the blanket over them as they finally fell into a deep slumber…

Then fell into a dream...

Thoughts and a Theory on Deltarune

SPOILERS BELOW! Don’t click the Read More if you haven’t played the game yet and plan to play it unspoiled!

I’m not the biggest Undertale fan in the world, but I definitely am a fan. I’ve loved pretty much everything about the game since it released in 2015, but always got the feeling that since Toby Fox was extremely surprised by its breakout massive success that there wouldn’t ever be a continuation. Yesterday I was proven wrong by the release of Deltarune Chapter 1, the first in what appears to be an episodic successor.

Before I address the story elements and my theory about what’s really going on in the game and how it connects to the original Undertale (which will be the subject of most of this post) I wanna talk about the actual game mechanics because they’re legitimately what impressed me the most. The way this game plays feels like the most perfectly natural and excellent progression of Undertale’s gameplay. The fact you actually have a party now is the most exciting and awesome addition. Now we have not only multiple characters with multiple skills, including magic and “limit break” type super moves, but team actions that can be performed by two or more characters together. Combined with other things like status effects and having to warn your enemies about the uncontrollable attacks of a violent party member so they don’t die and you’re able to spare them, all this expands and improves on what Undertale introduced in a way that proves to just how damn good Toby Fox is at game design. Undertale, and Deltarune by extension, probably could’ve coasted on its story, music and aesthetics alone, but Toby isn’t just great at those things. He’s also phenomenal at creating an actual game and I’d seriously do anything to have even a fraction of his talent;;;

Honestly, Undertale is an 8/10 or 9/10 for me, due to a couple things regarding the true pacifist ending and genocide routes that I don’t agree were good choices for such a heavily story and choice-driven game. Deltarune Chapter 1, meanwhile? 10/10. No question. We already may be looking at a sequel (if we consider it a sequel - personally I do, although not in the chronological sense) that completely surpasses the original.

So alright, how do Undertale and Deltarune fit together as far as story? Here’s what I think: First and foremost, Kris and the character who Undertale fans have previously been referring to as “Chara” are the same person. They are the exact same entity and Kris is simply the real name of “Chara,” who’s canon name was never actually given in Undertale. Fans simply assumed the child who they name in Undertale, the child who fell into the underground and was raised by Toriel and Asgore alongside Asriel, was canonically named “Chara” because inputting this name results in the message “The True Name.” So from now on, when I’m talking about Kris, know that I’m also referring to who we’ve been calling “Chara” up until now. The fact Kris and Chara wear the same shirt, plus what happens in the ending, I feel supports this. Got it? Alright.

I believe that Deltarune is an alternate timeline wherein instead of dying along with Asriel, Kris allows the monsters to come up to and live on the surface, much like Frisk does in Undertale’s true pacifist ending. Deltarune Chapter 1 begins several years after Kris and their adoptive family, along with all the monsters, escaped from the underground and formed a peaceful new suburban-like society for themselves.

A major hint towards the true nature of the player and their own role in Undertale/Deltarune’s story comes at the very first save point. When you save the game, it overwrites a file named “Kris” and instead replaces it with a file with your own name. At the beginning of the game you’re instructed by W.D. Gaster (or who we currently assume to be Gaster even though it’s technically still unclear; regardless I’ll refer to them as Gaster) to create a “vessel,” then give it a name, then enter your own name. After which your “creation” is “discarded” because “you don’t get to choose who you are in this world.” Gaster is right - we don’t get to choose our vessel, instead it’s chosen for us... that vessel being Kris.

The point where the player first saves the game is the point where they officially “take over” Kris and they become the player’s vessel. From that point on, Kris is no longer in control. We are in control - and we, the player, are represented by the red heart - the Soul.

What confirms this for me is the very end of the game after Kris rips out their Soul and throws it into the cage. If you use the arrow keys once the Soul is in the cage, it will wiggle around in the corresponding directions. This proves that the player is in fact the Soul. Which leads into the biggest question presented by the ending scene - Why did Kris tear out their Soul?

Because it’s not their Soul anymore. The player hijacked and literally overwrote it the moment we saved the game.

Overwriting Kris’s Soul did more than just allow us to control them though. With it came all our knowledge and memories of Undertale, its true ending, and what I’m going to call the “GenoKris” timeline. This is opposed to Deltarune’s timeline, which I’ll call the “MercyKris” timeline. By commandeering Kris’s Soul in the MercyKris timeline, we made them aware of themselves in the GenoKris timeline. This results in poor Kris having an existential crisis and suddenly they’re not sure who the hell they’re supposed to be anymore. Since after all, the first thing we probably thought to ourselves upon seeing the world in Deltarune was “What’s going on? Why are so many things different? This isn’t how it’s supposed to be...”

And so because we caused this, Kris rips their Soul, that is to say us, right out. Unfortunately, it’s too late. They’ve already been corrupted by the mixing of timelines due to the player’s interference. Their personality has been changed to that of themselves from the GenoKris timeline... the “true” Kris from our perspective.

This isn’t the world of Undertale. At first glance, it looks like it should be the world as we and Frisk made it at the end of Undertale’s true pacifist route, but it isn’t. “Deltarune” is an anagram of “Undertale.” It’s Undertale’s world all mixed up, but at the same time, unconnected. Except by playing Deltarune when we already played Undertale, we connected it. We caused two worlds to converge when that was never supposed to happen.

And now we’re going have to fix it.

A nightmare visit part 6

Unfortunately, the masked men cars were armored, and Victor Gatling gun got empty and got tired a bit “crap, I’m out of bullets. Asgore turn left-” Asgore suddenly stop. Throwing Victor off the roof of the car as he regained his balance and did a lil backflip to land on his feet “Asgore what the heck” Asgore point to tell Victor to look behind him and he does so as he sees that they are surrounded by black SUV's “The anti monsters” Victor growls as his eyes glow yellow and went back to the car that Asgore and Frisk are in “we need to call the others” Frisk did what Asgore said to her as Asgore get out of the car and summons his trident.

Victor and Asgore stayed close to the car as the anti-monster want to kill frisk “Victor we need to hold them off until the others arrive” Victor nods to what Asgore said as he cracks his fists and change his gloves to his gauntlets after taking his shirt off and smirks “who’s going first” Victor waits for any of the anti-monster members to make the first move. One of the anti members walks forward wearing a suit of armor and that member was tall. Victor smile “good. Someone has guts” The armored anti-monster member rush to Victor to fight him.

NMT gaster was watching and saw that the anti monsters were using robotic armor “It will be a problem for them to handle” he noticed that Asriel and Lucy are on their way to Asgore, Frisk and Victor. Asriel was speeding on his motorbike as Lucy was holding onto him “Asriel sweetie you need to slow down a bit” Asriel didn’t listen to Lucy and speed more. Lucy sigh as she summons her blaster jetpack and uses it to boost their speed to arrive to where her brother, Asgore and Frisk are currently at.

Victor and Asgore were having some trouble fending the anti-monster members off as Victor knocked the 13th armored anti-monster member and then frisk joins as well to give them a hand as she changed her outfit “good thing that Lucy gave me this outfit in case someone attacked us” Victor and Asgore were confused as when she did had the time to change as they look at their car and saw the windows were all black and no one couldn’t see her change in the car “remember that we don’t know what they want from frisk” Victor and Frisk nod to what Asgore said as Asriel and Lucy blasting through the roadblock that the anti-monster group made and stop beside Victor “did we miss the fun?” Asriel smirks as him and Lucy got off the motorbike and fist pump with Victor “The fun just begun” Lucy stood beside Frisk and look at her “you looking good girl” Frisk chuckles as her left eye glow red and summons a black sword with a red gem in it “thanks Lucy” Lucy smile as her eye glow green and summons a green scythe with a blaster skull on it. Victor looks at his sister and smiles ‘you improved a lot sis, but I won’t let you wait’ he punched an armored anti-monster member away and fuse his magic with his gauntlets to make burst gauntlets that have the power of a focused sniper round.

Asriel went to help his father and Victor handle the heavy armored members as Frisk and Lucy handle the unarmored members with Asriel and Asgore. Lucy noticed her brother seems more tired then Asgore and Frisk ‘He seems that he used a lot of his magic to keep Asgore and Frisk safe’ she begins to worry about her brother as she saw his left arm has cracks on it. She almost got hit as she rushed to him, luckily Asriel safe her as he kicks the attacker away “Lucy sweetie you need to be careful” Lucy nods as Victor got thrown between Asriel and Lucy. Victor stood up barely standing as blood comes out of his mouth and hardly breathing and smirk “hehe. Good, they have someone worth fighting” his eye glowing begin to fade and almost fell as Asriel catch him and sees his hp is low. Lucy took her brother and start to heal him “Why didn’t you say anything brother” Victor kisses his sister's head and stood up as his eyes glow “I didn’t want anyone of you to worry and besides I’m done playing” Lucy knew what Victor meant as he summons 8 blasters and aim them at the anti-monster group members as a smile formed on his face.

Frisk and Asgore were having trouble as one the anti-monster members manage to sneak up on Frisk and stab her twice in the stomach. Asgore, Asriel, Lucy, and Victor were in shock. Something snapped in Victor mind as he teleported to that member and grabbed their arm as that member looked at Victor. They saw a killing look as their arm got ripped off and they fall on the ground in their own blood screaming for help as Victor boot crashed their head. Victor carries Frisk and heals her wounds “Lucy take Frisk, Asriel and Asgore away from here” Lucy was about to tell something but stopped as she saw the look in her brother's eyes. She took the three of them to safety as Victor stayed and took care of the rest of the anti-monster members.

The First Steps (Lost and Found Arc)

As the door was closed, everyone in the room, except the good doctor of course, got nervous. They had no idea how they were going to break the news to this human about how they were doing. She could sense the tension, so she offered to let them choose who would start.

"So, who would like to go first?" Asked Dr. Lillian.

No one said anything.

"Okay, then. Who would like to state what their expectations are in group therapy?"

Asriel and Frisk's ears flared up in interest; Chara made an intrigued expression; Asgore and Toriel had a startled look.

"Umm...maybe I could go first?" Asriel asked, raising his hand nervously.

"Very well. What is your name, sir?"

"Um...my name is Asriel."

"Good. We're off to a good start. Why don't you tell me a little bit about yourself?"

"Okay. As everyone else knows, my name is Asriel Dreemurr, I'm the prince of all monsterkind, and I'm in group therapy."

"Why do you suppose you're in group therapy, your majesty?"

Asriel gave a surprised expression to the doctor. He didn't know she would be so respectful of his status so immediately.

"Yes, well...I believe...it's because...for a long time, I wasn't even a monster. In fact, I was really just a flower."

"Ah, I see. That's rather interesting. Would you like to talk a little about your time as a flower, Asriel?"

Dr. Lillian Crenshaw got ready to take notes with a pencil and a notepad.

"Okay. Give me a second."

"Of course, your majesty. You may take as much time as you need to prepare."

Asriel took in a few deep breaths to get ready to speak about his sins as a flower. He was nervous, but he was ready to get it out.

"Wait." Chara intervened.

"Maybe...excuse me, madam. I think you should know what happened before Asriel became a flower."

"Oh, I see. There was more to the story. Very well. Let's go to before such an experience."

"Thank you, madam. Asriel, you ready? I can't tell this without you."

Asriel took in one last breath and faced Chara.

"Yeah. We're ready." Asriel said with a slightly distorted voice.

"Oh. Flowey's getting involved, too?"

"Yeah. We are."

"Okay. Let's do this. Asriel and Flowey, you start with how it was before I fell."

"Right. Before I even met Chara, I was a pretty lonely kid. And it wasn't just because I was a boss monster. It was also because I was the prince of monsters. I was gonna inherit the throne to the entire kingdom, and everyone knew it. That's why most of them wanted nothing to do with me. They were worried that if they picked on me, I could get them in trouble with mom and dad. I didn't wanna be feared, I just wanted a friend, but I never got one for a long time. Then Chara showed up."

"When I fell into the mountain, Asriel found me and took me home to mom and dad. You know, these two older boss monsters? Anyway, these two are named Asgore and Toriel. Asriel is their son, and they were the royal family of monsters. They took me in as their own."

"When Chara and I first met, I was so happy to finally have a friend, and a human one, no less! She was just scared, but she warmed up to mom, dad and I eventually. After spending time with us, we got close enough to consider Chara as a member of our family. Then came that one day when Chara and I accidentally poisoned dad with buttercups. We were trying to make mom proud by making dad a butterscotch pie, but it didn't work. We mistook buttercups for cups OF butter, and he got really sick."

"I tried to laugh it off, trying to hide how terrible I felt for accidentally poisoning dad, but they all knew how I really felt. Later that night, Asriel saw me break down about the whole incident. I just cried so much, he came to me and comforted me. I swear, Asriel's a great big brother. I just wished I could've been a better little sister. And a better daughter."

"What? Chara, why would you say that?" Asked Asgore.

"Becuase I poisoned you by accident, and I felt really guilty about it, but I tried to laugh it off to keep you from seeing how bad I really felt about it. You got sick, and it was my fault. I mean, how was I supposed to know that buttercups were dangerous? They're beautiful, and they look innocent, but they're beyond toxic? How was I supposed to know that beforehand?"

Suddenly, Chara could feel the control over her body leaving her grasp, confirming her parents were taking over. Thanks to Flowey's natural ability to sense a soul, Asriel could feel Charon and Laura's presence becoming known.

"Chara, sweetie, it's okay. You wouldn't have done it if you knew beforehand what buttercups could do." Charon said, comforting his daughter.

"Yes, sweetheart. All your father and I did was tell you to keep away from the flowers." Laura said through Chara.

"We never told you which ones were dangerous, especially not buttercups."

Charon and Laura gave back control to their daughter. She shook her head a little to get her bearings back.

"Whew! Okay. I'm back." She said.

"Mom, dad, it's fine. I forgive you. I know you were just trying to protect me, and you didn't know if I was allergic to flowers or something else, LIKE buttercups or something."

Chara's parents mentally thanked Chara for forgiving them. Then Dr. Lillian got somewhat intrigued.

"That was unexpected." She said.

"Oh, yeah. My parents are dead, and I absorbed their souls. Now I can be with them forever. Sorry I didn't tell you."

"Interesting. Do you perhaps have the ability to speak to, or otherwise communicate, with your deceased relatives?"

"Yes. They can hear everything I say and hear, see everything that I see, experience everything as I do. Would you like to meet them?"

"Why, I dare say I would."

Chara let her parents out of her soul long enough for them to meet the good doctor, who was surprised that Chara was telling the truth.

"Um...hello there. May I ask of your names, please?"

"Y-yes. My name is Charon." The ghost monster said, approaching the doctor with a pacified hand.

"And I am Laura. We are Chara's birth parents." Laura said, standing next to her daughter.

"Ah. I see. My apologies. This is the first time I have had supernatural patients."

"No need to apologize. We are just here with our daughter. Speaking of whom, I think we'll be going back to her now."

Charon and Laura walked into their daughter, who absorbed them again within a matter of seconds. Chara got aroused for a moment, but she shrugged off her feelings.

"Excuse me, Chara, is it? Are you okay?"

"Yes, ma'am. I'm fine." Chara said, recoiling from the resurgence of power that left her for a brief moment.

"It's just that whenever I absorb souls, it gives me a pleasurable feeling. It also leaves a taste in my mouth. Depending on the personality of the soul being absorbed, it can either taste good or bad. Those were my parents, and they taste and feel amazing."

"Oh. I see. You are also a hybrid. Just like Frisk. I was told long ago that he was a hybrid between monster and human, you see."

"Oh. Alright. Well, I guess I don't have to be scared at this point."

"Of course not. This is a safe place where you are able to speak of your secrets without persecution. Those who fail, or refuse, to respect that are not welcome in this room at this time."

"Good. Good. Now I can tell you everything we need to say. Anyway, I accidentally poisoned dad, and I felt really bad about it. I tried to hide it, but I couldn't. My family knew the truth.

Later on, I asked if I would be able to go back to the surface. They solemnly said no, but they told me how they became trapped down there in the first place."

"I think I can explain from this point." Said Asgore.

"Toriel and I told Chara that we were trapped in Mount Ebott due to the humans that employed magicians to incarcerate us all. Seven magicians erected the barrier with every last ounce of magic they had within them. With seven human souls, we would be able to destroy the barrier completely. Even if not seven human souls, at least such an equivalency. However, even if you counted every last monster in the underground, we only had enough for the equvalency of ONE human soul in power and maybe one or two monsters."

"Exactly. Upon telling me that, alongside remembering how I poisoned dad, I came up with a plan. The plan was to have Asriel absorb my soul so he could go to the surface, and retrieve six human souls. Six was enough to break the barrier, but I didn't care. My REAL plan was to use Asriel not just to free the monsters, but to kill every last human on the face of the earth. It took some time to try and convince Asriel to go through with it. You remember, Rei?"

Asriel was about to comment that his name is Asriel and not "Rei", but he decided to shrug it off just this once.

"Yeah. I remember. I gotta admit, you sounded so convincing, considering the fact that I didn't want you to die for us. You told me that all we needed were six souls."

"Yeah. Then you cried a little and tried to wuss out on me. I accused you of being a crybaby, and you agreed to do my plan anyway, despite how much you didn't want to."

Chara started to tear up a little. Dr. Lillian noticed and offered her some tissues, which she promptly took about 8.

"After that, I set my plan in motion. I got some buttercups, and I poisoned myself. I took enough to kill a grown man at the time. I was BEYOND sick. It was so painful to suffer from how incredibly toxic those buttercups were. I should've never even gotten close to them."

"Excuse me, doctor, may I have the tissue box, please?"

Dr. Lillian passed the box over to Asriel in a manner that seemed to say "knock yourself out". He started crying as he and Flowey remembered what happened.

"I remember the way Chara looked in her bed. She looked horrible. She was pale in some parts of her face, her eyes looked sunken and bloodshot. It was like she wasn't Chara anymore. We all started crying over her. Dad tried to stay strong for her, telling her to 'stay determined'. She really was the future of monsters and humans, even if she didn't want to admit it. I lost my mettle and tried to get Chara to wake up. I told her I didn't like the plan anymore. You won't believe how she felt after that."

"I think she would, Asriel. Death by buttercup is fucking torture. It was beyond painful to get so incredibly sick. I felt so weak while I just lied there in bed. All I could do was listen to you guys crying over my body. Then, I made the final wish: to take me to see the golden flowers of my village. I knew you guys couldn't grant me my final wish, but I didn't care. It was just a farce to 'give you a motive' to go up to the surface. Then shortly after I made that wish, I stopped breathing and moving. I just...I...I died. As I left my corpse, I saw Asriel, and absorbed me. The second he finished absorbing my soul, I took the reigns on his body."

"I was scared, and I could sense Chara's anxiety and anger too, but I just kept telling myself what I came to the surface for. I kept saying 'six human souls. That's all we need.' I kept replaying the message until Chara got to her village."

"When I got to my so-called 'home', I saw the villagers there. They were shocked that a monster came to the surface with a dead child in their arms. Then I got angry. VERY angry. I remembered every last one of their faces. To be honest, I was surprised, shocked actually, that they saw my dead body in their arms, and they wanted to attack Asriel for it. They thought Asriel killed me! I was like 'WHAT THE FUCK! You guys didn't care about me when I was alive, and now all you want is to avenge my death?!' I swear, they were all just hypocritical animals! They were ready to murder Asriel in cold blood. As I set my body down by those flowers, I turned to them, so angry at how they treated me, I was ready to slaughter every last human in that village. I couldn't control myself anymore. Asriel could tell I was hurting from them and angry at them all. He could feel my rage."

"I can't think of a worse time to man up and grow a pair. Before Chara could use our full power, I forced her to relent and snatched back control. She was beyond angry, and all of it got aimed at me at that moment. She was upset because she couldn't kill them because I refused to let her kill them all. Then came the barrage of weaponry. Boy, did they do a number on me. I got shot, I got stabbed, some of them threw these rocks at me, I got burned a bit by some torches. They launched everything they had at me. I asked them why, and they said it was because I 'killed Chara'. I should've said Chara killed herself, but that probably would've pissed them off even more. Why? Perhaps they would've thought I lied or something. Anyway, after that siege, I grabbed Chara's body and went back home. To the mountain."

"I was so angry at Asriel. I wanted him to give me back control after he took it away. It wasn't just for my plan anymore. It was for those monsters hurting my brother. I wanted them to reap what they had sown. They threw me away like a piece of garbage, and then they decided that wasn't good enough for them, so they try and murder my own brother?! I had enough of them all. I wanted to force them to pay for their wrongdoings. But Asriel wouldn't let me. He was the only voice of reason and I shut him out like it was nothing."

Chara blew her nose and wiped her tears with some of the tissues she got.

"After Asriel carried me back home, I asked him why he brought me back home. He told me he could sense my anger and hatred at some point, but the reason he gave me was a wakeup call. He said it was because I deserved to be with people who actually care about me. After that, I forgave Asriel for ruining the plan I made. Asriel was right to hold back. If he let me kill those humans, we would've started another, more devastating war against humanity, and I don't think anyone that was human would've survived. That's why when we finally succumbed to our injuries, I told him I loved him one last time before we both died."

"I suppose I should've died happy that Chara loved me as my sister until the end, but that day just REFUSES to leave my memories and I alone."

Asriel started crying softly and blew his nose, letting his tears flow unchecked.

"I blamed myself for that for a long time. I know Chara technically did have a role in it, but I still thought it was my fault."

"Yeah. To be honest, I thought it was all my fault because after all that happened, all the monsters fell into despair again. And the worst part is...I can't take any of it back."

"I...I'm so sorry that happened to you both." Dr. Lillian said, lending her heart out to them both.

"I know I can't take away your pain, but I want you two to know that what you did was simply you two trying to do something good. I mean, sure, it didn't work out, but you just wanted to help your people. Never forget that."

Chara and Asriel were surprised. There they were, talking to a human that didn't judge them for what they did, and it was like she heard it all before. They started breaking down a little.

"Thank you for your kindness, ma'am. Thank you so much!" Asriel said before he started wailing.

"You're welcome. If I may be so bold as to ask one of you, how does knowing what you've done feel in hindsight?"

"It's terrifying." Chara said with her voice breaking.

"It's so terrifying because I realized all the consequences of what I've done. My parents are divorced, my brother died and turned into a soulless flower, I restarted an interspecies war, and the worst part is the whole world could've gotten destroyed by Talrok, and all of it was my fault! I should've never taken that first step. If I didn't, none of this would've happened!"

Chara and Asriel broke down in front of Frisk, the doctor and their parents. Frisk, Asgore, and Dr. Lillian looked at them in sympathy. Toriel had annoyed expression and left. She silently closed the door, and went outside. Then, Asgore and the doctor held out their arms, hoping to give the two a shoulder to cry on.

They noticed, and Asriel held onto Dr. Lillian, and Chara desperately clung to Asgore, both of them burying their faces in their chests as they cried. Frisk joined in, and stretched his dog ears long enough to encompass everybody in the hug. He purred affectionately as if to reassure Chara that she would still be loved.

"Chara, Asriel, you don't have to feel alone or guilty anymore. We're here for you." Frisk said, with one eye becoming pink, and the other turning cyan.

Chara and Asriel saw Frisk's eyes, and smiled tearfully at him.

"Thank you, Frisk. I love you." Chara said, starting to control herself.

"I love you, too."

Frisk let them all go and Chara went to him and hugged him. She didn't want to let go at all. She smiled at Frisk, feeling her determination flowing back into her.

"Wow. I...I feel...better? Like a weight was just lifted from my shoulders. Dr. Crenshaw, thank you."

The good doctor simply smiled at Chara placcidly.

"Now, who else would like to go?"

Asgore let go of Chara, ready to start.

"If it is no serious problem, perhaps I could go next?" He asked humbly.

"Of course, sir. Your name is King Asgore, correct?"

"Why, yes. Yes, it is."

"Excellent. If you would be so kind as to tell your story, it would be most important for us all."

"Very well. Let me just say beforehand that I am sorry that you had to hear this."

Everyone sat back down as Asgore got ready to tell his story. He was feeling nervous as well, alongside a little guilty.
