AU time!
I spent a few hours on this, and I’m happy with how it came out!
The Averruncate! AU is basically the idea of if Caleb was ‘brought back from the dead’ just a little bit before Luz showed up. In this he’s given life by three titans ( my ocs ) and sent to halt the plans of Phillip. Shenanigans ensue.

Was gardening again today, and I thought back to when @eemoo1o-animoo said that "Been gardening all day, and I'm tired and hungry" is "reaper core".
So, now, when I think of our community gardens' tool shed, it has become the "death scythe surplus storeroom", where we keep old, surrendered death scythes just waiting for modifications.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
No power tools here, so these are some boring old death scythes. Imagine collecting souls with a shovel. These past few days, I've been using a dirt rake and a hand-tiller. Talk about weird tools to use for collecting souls! 😆
Oh! Yeah, and there are a couple averruncators shown in the last three pics! 😂

“Son though He was, He learned obedience from what He suffered..." Hebrews 5:8 When I was young, I was always asking God to treat me gently. I was always aware that there were many things that could happen that could destroy the perfect world I had with my family, my friends, this precious little circle I lived in. And God was faithful, and answered my prayers. Until He showed me, that if He did not prune me, I would wither and die like a plant that was not exposed to a gardener's pruning shears. There are different kinds of cutters. Some are strong enough to cut tree branches, and they are called "loppers". Then there are the specialized ones for pruning Japanese bonsai and the exquisite miniature landscapes of the Vietnamese. To cut leaves and branches higher up, gardeners can use an averruncator which has a telescopic pole. One of my favorite verses is from 1 Corinthians 3:9, where Saint Paul tells us we are God's garden, His field, His farm. And like any farmer, God prepares the ground for a rich harvest. The hard soil must be broken up, so He can plant the seeds. The season, the timing, the depth of the seeds in the soil, how much water, how much sun, these are all to be considered. And then when the plants are grown, and in need of pruning, God lovingly takes out those pruning shears and removes those dead leaves and unfruitful stems. Even Jesus was pruned. And Jesus learned obedience from His suffering. Perfect obedience. I do believe that God has a special set of shears for each one of us. For some of us, He uses the lopper. For some He picks the high carbon kiri style shears for precision cutting. Whatever tool God uses, and we can be sure it is the perfect one, we know it is so we will yield much fruit, and bloom! One day we will be perfect too, like Jesus! https://www.instagram.com/p/CndAwlfhDiK/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

OM
his eyes are lashed by whip-thin thorns. from his outstretched hand, pollen falls. he sweats sweet milk, and wears gilt sandals. his attendants are many, and he gives no orders, but his will is done. a linen wraps about his crotch, from which resin occasionally is bestowed. a tug on your sleeve, a squirrel-servant leads you to the throne, and skitters up one trunklike calf. hold forth your cup, or your cupped hands?
Om is god of plants tended. Wasps and groundskeepers are alike his missionaries. His altars are adorned, with fat pink roses and myrrh and lemon peels. His most devoted have wicked absences where they once had ring fingers or teeth or wings, even so being blessed by smooth healing and unbent backs. They carry decorated pruning shears and averruncators, although many are never or rarely used to purpose. He is among the most avuncular of the inhuman gods, speaking human languages when it suits him, and using a human gender even when it doesn’t. His clothing is also unique in this regard, but scripture regarding its exact origin has been carefully and cleanly removed by his devotees, over long centuries.

Irrigation sprinkler
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

impact sprinkler head in action Irrigation sprinklers are sprinklers providing irrigation to agriculture, crops, vegetation, or for recreation, as a cooling system, or for the control of airborne dust, landscaping and golf courses. The sprinkler system irrigates the field and thus it is widely used in sandy areas as it checks the wastage of water through seepage and evaporation. Sprinkler irrigation is a method of applying irrigation water which is similar to natural rainfall. Water is distributed through a system of pipes usually by pumping. It is then sprayed into the air through sprinklers so that it breaks up into small water drops which fall to the ground. The pump supply system, sprinklers and operating conditions must be designed to enable a uniform application of water. Contents 1 Types 1.1 Industrial 1.2 Residential 1.3 Underground Sprinkler 1.4 Agricultural Science 2 Use 3 Health risks from aerosols 4 Gallery 5 See also 6 References 7 External links Types Industrial Sprinklers that spray in a fixed pattern are generally called sprays or spray heads. Sprays are not usually designed to operate at pressures , due to misting problems that may develop. Higher pressure sprinklers that themselves move in a circle are driven by a ball drive, gear drive, or impact mechanism (impact sprinklers). These can be designed to rotate in a full or partial circle. Rainguns are similar to impact sprinkler, except that they generally operate at very high pressures of 40 to 130lbf/in (275 to 900 kPa) and flows of 50 to 1200 US gal/min (3 to 76 L/s), usually with nozzle diameters in the range of 0.5 to 1.9inches (10 to 50mm). In addition to irrigation, guns are used for industrial applications such as dust suppression and logging. Many irrigation sprinklers are buried in the ground along with their supporting plumbing, although above ground and moving sprinklers are also common. Most irrigation sprinklers operate through electric and hydraulic technology and are grouped together in zones that can be collectively turned on and off by actuating a solenoid-controlled valve. Residential

An oscillating sprinkler is commonly used to water residential lawns, and is moved as needed. Home lawn sprinklers vary widely in their size, cost, and complexity. They include impact sprinklers, oscillating sprinklers, drip sprinklers, and underground sprinkler systems. Small sprinklers are available at home and garden stores or hardware stores for small costs. These are often attached to an outdoor water faucet and are placed only temporarily. Other systems may be professionally installed permanently in the ground and are attached permanently to a home's plumbing system. An ingenious domestic sprinkler made by Nomad called a 'set-and-forget tractor sprinkler' was used in Australia in the 1950s. Water pressure ensured that the sprinkler slowly moved across a lawn.[1] Permanently installed systems may often operate on timers or other automated processes. They are occasionally installed with retractable heads for aesthetic and practical reasons (making damage during lawn mowing or other maintenance less likely). These often are programmed to operate on a schedule and irrigate a piece of land in zones.[2] Underground Sprinkler Underground sprinklers function through means of basic electronic and hydraulic technology. This valve and all of the sprinklers that will be activated by this valve are known as a zone. Upon activation, the solenoid, which sits on top of the valve is magnetized lifting a small stainless steel plunger in its center. By doing this, the activated (or raised) plunger allows air to escape from the top of a rubber diaphragm located in the center of the valve. Water that has been charged and waiting on the bottom https://www.amazon.com/Lawn-Garden-Sprinklers/b?ie=UTF8&node=553974 of this same diaphragm now has the higher pressure and lifts the diaphragm. This pressurized water is then allowed to escape down stream of the valve through a series of pipes, usually made of PVC (higher pressure commercial systems) or polyethylene pipe (for typically lower pressure residential systems). At the end of these pipes and flush to ground level (typically) are pre measured and spaced out sprinklers. These sprinklers can be fixed spray heads that have a set pattern and generally spray between 1.5-2m (7-15ft.), full rotating sprinklers that can spray a broken stream of water from 6-12m (20-40ft.), or small drip emitters that release a slow, steady drip of water on more delicate plants such as flowers and shrubs. use of indigenous materials also recommended.[3] Agricultural Science Center pivot irrigation sprinkler nozzles, used in crop irrigation

The first use of sprinklers by farmers was some form of home and golf course type sprinklers. These ad hoc systems, while doing the job of the buried pipes and fixed sprinkler heads, interfered with cultivation and were expensive to maintain. In the 1950s a firm based in Portland, Oregon Stout-Wyss Irrigation System, developed the rolling pipe type irrigation system for farms that has become the most popular type for farmers irrigating large fields. With this system large wheels attached to the large pipes with sprinkler heads move slowly across the field.[4] Use Most irrigation sprinklers are used as part of a sprinkler system, consisting of various plumbing parts, pump unit,[5] piping and control equipment. Outdoor sprinkler systems are sometimes used as a deterrent against homeless people. This sprinkler system was programmed to drench unsuspecting sleepers at random times during the night. Local businessmen soon copied this system in an effort to drive homeless people away from public sidewalks adjacent to their businesses.[6] Health risks from aerosols In 2014, it was reported that use of common garden hoses in combination with spray nozzles may generate aerosols containing droplets smaller than 10 ?m, which can be inhaled by nearby people. Water stagnating in a hose between uses, especially when warmed by the sun, can host the growth and interaction of Legionella and free-living amoebae (FLA) as biofilms on the inner surface of the hose. Clinical cases of Legionnaires' disease or Pontiac fever have been found to be Sprinkler System Installation Rockwall associated with inhalation of garden hose aerosols containing Legionella bacteria. The report provides measured microbial densities resulting from controlled hose conditions in order to quantify the human health risks. The densities of Legionella spp. identified in two types of hoses were found to be similar to those reported during legionellosis outbreaks from other causes. It is proposed that the risk could be mitigated by draining hoses after use.[7] Gallery

Hi! Could I get some grim reaper facts/head canons on Grell, Will and Ronald? Thank you so much!
Please click the tags at the bottom to see more posts about these characters.
Reaper facts, headcanons, etc.
Well, here are some headcanons and crack theories about Grelle. But I’ll list some stuff here, too:
Fact: Grelle’s agenda is Chanel.
Fact: Grelle’s nickname among the art staff was “Shark”, thanks to those teeth.
Fact: the modern chainsaw that Grelle uses as a death scythe was developed from a medical instrument originally used to aid in difficult childbirths.
Headcanon: Grelle didn’t make/get those unauthorized death scythe modifications until after meeting Madam Red.
Headcanon: Grelle committed suicide by drowning, which explains all of Grelle’s drowning references throughout both the manga and the anime.
Alternative headcanon: it was a combination of drowning and slashed wrists, to make sure the attempt was both successful and dramatic.
Crack theory: Grelle actually looks more like “butler Grelle” but hates that and changes everything that can be changed (with glamours or some other reaper ability).
Crack theory: Super-duper crack idea that Grelle might have been biologically female as a human but accidentally ended up in a male reaper body. Idea only works if reapers are “reborn” in a karmic reincarnation sort of situation.
Alternative (not so crack) theory: Grelle has always been trans, and ending up with a biologically male body in the afterlife was just the worst thing possible. This idea works regardless of how suicides become reapers.
Here are some things for Ronald.
Fact: he’s got a cylinder lawnmower, and his model looks like it wasn’t available until the 1940’s or so.
Fact: his watch is actually a Pasha de Cartier chronograph, which is a sporty stopwatch. I think it’s also meant to be waterproof. Yana-san even specifies the brand and model in his design sketches. (I want to say these went into production in the 1960’s?)
Fact: That leather-bound agenda has to be Bottega Veneta.
Fact: That traveling trunk (Campania) has to be Goyard.
Fact: he’s named after a real Ronald Knox, who was a priest and an early radio personality. The real Knox is known for the Knox Bible (a vulgate translation), writing the “Ten Commandments of Detective Fiction” (Yana-san breaks every single one!), and creating one of the (or possibly the) first radio hoaxes (he inspired the “War of the Worlds” hoax). A man before his time. And he also had a brother who edited Punch magazine for several years.
Fact: his nickname among the art staff was “Hamburgular”.
Headcanon: His hat (Campania) is Knox brand. Very sporty. Very appropriate for him.
Headcanon: he chose that death scythe modification because of the lawnmower’s significance in the modernization of field and lawn sports.
Headcanon: he committed suicide by slashing his wrists.
Headcanon: he buys/uses flashy brand-name items now because he couldn’t afford expensive things as a human.
Crack theory: he was an unsuccessful gambler as a human, and he might have killed himself to avoid being tortured by bookies or loan sharks. He also might have killed himself because he was “too ahead of his time” and “no one understood him”. He also might have been a writer….
And here are some about William.
Fact: his middle initial “T” is a holdover from his old nickname among the art staff. The nickname was “Takaeda”, meaning “tall branches” or “high branches”.
Headcanon: he committed suicide by jumping off a rooftop, which is something he’s done in the manga and anime; in fact, it’s what he does when we (and our earl and Sebastian) first meet him.
Headcanon: he was a typical “company man” sort of guy as a human, but he was unsuccessful and overworked, and he got too fed up with it all. So he did what too many of them do: jump from a roof or high window.
Headcanon: he chose an averruncator because of what happened in the “Story of Will the Reaper” OVA. After being attacked by Thomas’ cinematic records, he wanted to keep a physical distance from the people whose souls he collects. Also, he wants to be able to fight demons from a distance.
Headcanon: his appearance of coldness and emotional distance is mostly for show. More like he’s just afraid of being hurt, and this is all for protecting himself, both physically and emotionally.
Headcanon: but he really doesn’t appreciate Grelle’s attraction to him.
Crack theory: he likes the pigeons and doves used by reapers as messengers. Part of the reason I think he likes them is because they often perch on rooftops and window ledges. I imagine him having a one sided conversation with a pigeon/dove before jumping. He’s telling it about his problems, and it’s just “cooing” at him, perhaps in a way he thinks is reassuring… that he’s got the right idea.
Crack theory: he feels trapped by the reaper organization similarly to his employer when he was a human, and if he ever finds out whatever Undertaker knows about the reaper organization and realm, then he might also rebel against it.
