i missed sasosaku month because my tablet broke on the 1st of november (i'm not kidding) and i got a new one for my birthday which is the 30th of november. so please accept this, instead. i feel a little sorry since sakura's face looks slightly more misshapen than i'd like.

it is a highschool au inspired by @aprito and their college handball au. they are patron saint of sasosaku being the worst straight couple on the block, and i appreciate them so much for that.

the entire concept in my head is what if jock, kind of masc sakura dated twinky sasori, but also highschool au. in my mind, sasori is a marble sculptor and taxidermist, while sakura plays rugby. it was between hockey (field or ice it doesn't matter too much), rugby, handball or water polo.

i think sasori is incredibly down bad down horrendous for his sport rat soon to be gf. he wants to be wifed up soooo bad, ooooo. he acts uninterested and stoic when around her or else he will beg her to sit on his face.

conversely, sakura is a total pigtail puller and comes up with the sickest (yet also most juvenile) burns ever because she doesn't like the fact that she carnally desires this under-130-pounds, 5'2 little man. however facts are facts and she cannot avoid them, no matter how hard she tries. poor sakura.

this is also an academic rivals au. sakura is ranked first in school and sasori second. he for sure-for sure has an entire complex about this.

summary: Boggarts and banshees, tricksters and omens - Sakura knows that not all Unseelie are feral, evil beasts. But the moment a fae decides to pass over into this realm and injures, abducts, or kills, she will take it upon herself to make sure they can never harm another human.

Leave it to one annoying (handsome) Unseelie to make a real mess of things and spirit her away.

Another arrow whizzes by her ear, disappearing somewhere far behind Sakura. She keeps her eyes pinned to the rider in front of her, unwavering in her chase and clicking her tongue to urge her horse forward as she and her target round a corner. The trees, numerous and thick on either side of the old trading road, block her view for just a few moments before she can see the trail ahead of her once more, the sun sitting low in the horizon ahead.

The horse she's been following for the past fifteen minutes, however, is now riderless. With the saddle empty and Sakura's instincts screaming, she drops backward in her own seat, narrowly avoiding a spinning hatchet as it appears from the treeline to her right. Slicing through the air horizontally, the small axe - the late afternoon light catching and shining off the sharp blade and casting a momentary shadow over Sakura's face - is quickly lodged in a tree trunk on the other side of the road with a solid ker-thunk.

Had she remained upright for a second longer, the hatchet would have instead struck her neck.

And, judging by how deeply it was now stuck in the tree, likely have taken her head clean off.

Lip curling, Sakura's attention focuses on the darkened trees where the attack had come from and she pulls hard on the reins. Her horse slows and she's leaping from her own saddle before he fully stops. She continues her chase on foot through the trees, catching sight of a flash of blue ahead of her as her target tries to escape. It's cloak stands out in the greens and browns of the forest, but she's losing daylight and the darkness of the forest certainly won't aide much in her hunt.

If she loses the fae-creature now, she'll likely never find it again.

I've always wanted to draw Godzilla, I love Sakura, and there's this Sakura-centric fic about the two of them so I thought: "why not hit 3 birds with one stone?" Godeater by Anonymous

Summary:

There's an insatiable hunger in her, a gaping hole in the center of her chest. Naruto's been swept away by a Sannin, Sasuke's disappeared into the grips of another remarkably less sane Sannin, and the last Sannin rejected her apprenticeship in favor of training Hinata.

Kakashi's disappeared, her parents are running out of money, her team has abandoned her, and her savings are quickly wearing thin. Alone and desperate, Sakura reverse summons and prays.

She wakes up on the wrong side of Water Country, stranded on an island, and with an extra passenger in her head. (naruto gets toads. sasuke gets snakes. sakura gets something... decidedly less normal.)

Godzilla is one of my absolute favorites and I adore Sakura. I never knew I needed a crossover fic with both of them and I'm grateful for it. I enjoy the premise and story so far and my only complaint is that Sakura interacts with Inner Sakura, which has never been my cup of tea because the dialogue can get a bit annoying, but that's just me and I'm willing to stick around to know where the story goes. I wholly recommend this fic for anyone interested. Disclaimer: The kanji logo used is from the Godzilla 2019 movie.
