Needlessly Pedantic Answers to Worldbuilding Questions that Don't Matter That Much to Begin With, Episode #1:
why is everyone in your fictional world an animal? what do they eat? are there any non-sapient animals? is it more of a "Zootopia or Beastars" type situation? how does anatomy change across certain species?
so as nobody may know, i write about a lot of fictional worlds and one of them is your standard diverse furry society. while these are quite fun to mess around with, they tend to bring up a lot of questions (that technically don't matter too much, i mean you're just telling a fictional story for god's sake) about how the world works. and there's especially a lot of questions raised in my case because my world doesn't just feature mammals, but also reptiles, birds, amphibians, fish, and so on, so you wonder how differently they live, if at all. i'm gonna be evil and answer all of those questions that exactly -2 people have asked today!
1: why is everyone an animal?
of course, the real reason is because it's fun to explore stories and create characters that aren't human, and it's especially a fun opportunity to experiment with character design! but for a more in-universe reason, the gods like to take inspiration from each other and will tend to build off of each other's ideas. this world was made by the wandering god Belet, who became inspired after visiting several worlds of other gods. they were curious about creating a world where multiple sapient species exist, since it was a common trend in other worlds for only one dominant species existing at a time.
2. what do they eat?
naturally, all species are vegetarian, although some areas of the world have gotten to the point of inventing artificial foods adjacent to plant-based meat. the idea of cannibalism or killing other people to eat hasn't really been explored due to being kinda... dubious. but i guess it's up in the air. although it may sound weird, the practice of selling one's own dairy products and other non-meat animal products is quite normalized. it's basically just seen as the same level of normal as selling any other food items you make.
3. are there any non-sapient animals?
so far? nope. but that might get retconned in the future, i dunno. i haven't published enough about this world so i'm still able to reconsider if i wanted to. but as of right now, basically every single organism from the animalia kingdom is anthropomorphized, with a few exceptions. (exceptions usually being organisms i have no clue how to anthropomorphize lmao)
4. is it more of a "zootopia or beastars" type situation?
to expand on this question, it's basically asking for more information on how society functions and how fucked it is, if at all. initially i said it was going to be a utopia of sorts- i retconned that, lol, because it seems like i can't ever write about a truly happy world. it's definitely one of my better worlds to live in, but it's by no means perfect. i wouldn't say it's Beastars levels of messed up (black markets selling dubious meat and carnal instincts telling you to eat your friends) but it's probably not as cutesy as, say, Zootopia is on the surface level, although i do like how it tackled systemic racism and whatnot. i guess it's somewhere in between. there isn't anything going on that's straight out of a psychological horror movie but there's definitely inequality and tension everywhere.
5. how does anatomy change across certain species?
outside of the very obvious base change of every animal becoming anthropomorphic and thus more human-like, there's a couple other changes, such as necessary internal anatomy shifting around so all creatures can live on land properly, plus the ability to be able to speak the same languages, stuff like that. arthropods are a bit trickier (like oh my god so much would have to change) but i usually just explain that they're built different and call it a day. for my sanity. cold blooded animals are able to somewhat thermoregulate on their own, but will still largely rely on their surroundings. if you're cold, they're cold. wrap your lizard girls in blankets. also, all animals are similarly sized, but some tend to be slightly larger/smaller on average depending on the species. like, an old elephant man is gonna be MUCH taller than a moth lady lol.
oh, and an extremely unnecessary addition that i only expanded on because of the fact that i had to face the logical issue of giving my reptile characters boobs: non-mammalian animals will still tend to have visible "breasts" due to having the general silhouette of a human, but they don't produce milk or function at all outside of looks. some non-mammalians prefer to get their "breast" tissue surgically removed due to the fact that it serves basically no purpose for them.
that's about where the biological similarities end, though. when it comes to reproduction, biological compatibility largely follows the same odds as it would in the real world, so you sadly won't see many wolf/komodo dragon hybrids hanging out. this also tends to be a source of interspecies-relationship discrimination, and not to mention eugenics...
some miscellaneous tidbits:
-in terms of technology and resources, i'd say this world is about as advanced, if not a little more than our own. it's no sci-fi paradise but there are some significant advancements made that definitely outdo us, such as the research and technology poured into environment conservation and space exploration (the latter of which may or may not be one of the main topics of a story i'm working on... :3)
-trans healthcare is also reasonably advanced, although that doesn't imply there's less transphobia.
-yes, there's probably some unique version of veganism in this world, but instead of not eating animals it'd be like... fungi. or certain types of plants. or maybe even animal products anyways, despite the fact that they're normalized, for one reason or another.
-ohhhh clothes work so differently depending on what kind of animal you are. but i cannot get into that here. not without going insane. just know that i have been thinking about it a lot. there are entire different kinds of clothing for certain body types, just not the definition of body type you'd initially think of. there's specific clothing for the winged. the tailed and the non-tailed. the quilled. the feathered. the slimed. its insane

Weekly wikipedia repairs roundup
Šarrāḫītu and Ama-arhus, too obscure to warrant saying anything about them. Both appear in the late pantheon of Uruk in the Hellenistic period, displacing Usuramassu and friends (boo!). It took literally 3 clicks to fix their nightmarishly bad articles.
Upelluri, the Hurrian world giant. The article took 5 minutes to fix too. He’s not a god and especially not a god of dreams and appears in a grand total of 1 myth. It’s a fun myth, to be fair.
Saggar, the deified Sanjar Mountains, for some reason imagined as an offbrand moon god. Also associated with pistachios and other nuts which is considerably less weird since they do grow in that area.
Shuzianna, Enlil’s second wife (sic)/nurse of Sin/daughter of Enmesharra, the personified primordial cosmos/one of the seven goddesses Ninmah outsources jobs to. I honestly think the last version is the funniest. Also shows up often with Ninimma, Enlil’s court scribe and sporadic wife of Ninurta.
Hutena and Hutellura, Hurrian goddesses of fate and midwifery. There is heated debate over whether there are two or seven of them.
Enmesharra, Enlil’s evil uncle and the greatest mythical villain you have never heard of (not counting Kumarbi). Deserves more spotlight than Tiamat by the virtue of completely bonkers background. Not to be confused with Ninmesharra, a title of Inanna… but a different Ninmesharra does show up as his feminine counterpart sometimes and presumably is not Inanna. I’ve also added some of the information from here to the Nergal article, which I finished reworking last month.
Panigingarra, another minor god saved from the clutches of one of my nemeses, “Michael Jordan, Encyclopedia of Gods, Kyle Cathie Limited, 2002.″ He was a son of Ninhursag and her husband Shulpa’e and his claim to fame is appearing in a parody of a trial in the Sumerian comedic smash hit “Three ox drivers from Adab.”
Ningishzida, “the reliable god,” an all around nice guy despite his association with snakes and the underworld. He is also the brother in law of Dumuzi (sometimes) and/or his best friend judging from their cordial relations in the Adapa myth. I actually almost gave up on this article because the n dimensional syncretism his wife went through was difficult to untangle.
Retouched articles I worked on in the summer: Kubaba and Adamma, a Hurrian dyad of goddesses one of who is divorced (sort of) while the other is neither the queen Ku-Baba (who is most likely not real) nor Cybele; Zababa, a war god who is NOT Nergal or Ninurta; Belet Nagar, from the same city as the earlier “eye idols”; Lelwani, Hittite king-turned-queen of the underworld; Kamrušepa, Hittite goddess of magic. I’ve also expanded the Ninshubur article a further bit.

Arabian Deities List
A list of the pagan gods who were worshipped by the Pre-Islamic Arabs. Much of the evidence of these deities and their worshippers were destroyed during the rise of Islam, but this is the majority of those remembered:
Elder Gods:
Allah - the supreme deity (both male and female) of the pagan Arabs. Allah is the one who existed before all things and had created the universe. Afterwards, they retired into the position of a silent and remote spectator who dwelt in 'Aliyyin, the highest heaven, and only intervened in human affairs in extreme cases of drought or danger. Despite being the supreme deity, Allah was rarely directly worshipped.
Al-Lat - goddess of war, peace, combat, and prosperity. Al-lat was the Meccan mother goddess and the chief deity of the tribe of Banu Thaqif. She is one of the three daughters of Allah- all of whom were the supreme goddesses of the Arabs and were widely worshipped.
Al-Uzza - goddess of might, protection, love, and the planet Venus. One of the three daughters of Allah and wife of Hubal, god of war
Manat - goddess of fate, destiny, and death. She is the eldest of her three sisters (making her the eldest deity after Allah). She is wife of Quzah, the god of thunder.
Younger Gods:
Hubal - god of war, victory in battle, fortune, and rainfall; husband of the goddess Al-Uzza.
Manaf - god of mountains
Quzah - god of storms, thunder, and clouds; husband of Manat. Thunder, said to be the battle-cry of Quzah, was believed to scare away spirits of disease and misfortune. The rainbow that appeared after rain was considered by the people of Mecca to be a ladder to the heavens.
Isaf and Na'ila - Meccan water deities: the dual guardian spirits of the holy well of Zamzam
Duwar - goddess of maidens; she was worshiped by the youngest women of the Banu Quraysh
Al-Ikrimah - god of fertility; his idol was a statue of a dove carved from aloe wood
Dhātu-Anwāt - goddess of trees
Suwā - goddess of night, beauty, and freshwater springs
Ar-Rā'iyu ('The One Who Sees') - god of dreams and prophecy. All dreams were considered to be messages from the gods in pre-Islamic Arabia and oracles specialized in interpreting them. This god was believed to be an all-seeing guardian.
Al-Mundhir - a west Arabian god of justice, whose name means ''The Cautioner''
Yaghuth - ("He Helps") the south Arabian god of strength, courage, and war; had an idol that was a statue of a lion which was situated on a hill in Yemen
Yahwah - north Arabian weather god, worshiped as a divine warrior who rides on the clouds and leads the armies of Heaven. In the religion of the Hebrew tribes of ancient Palestine, their deity Yahweh was originally one god among many; although in later times he developed into a major tribal god and eventually the Hebrews elevated him to the status of an all-powerful creator god above all the others: a position that was held previously by El, who became an epithet of Yahweh.
Bahar (or Bajar) - god of the ocean
Rudā - a central Arabian rain goddess; brought droughts when angered
Nahastāb - a south Arabian fertility god who was worshiped by the Minaean Arabs. This god was associated with serpents who were recognized as omens of bounty and fertile ground.
Su’ayr - north Arabian god of oracles
Al-Jalsad - south Arabian god of pastures and fields
Ashar - north Arabian god of war
Ni'mat - north Arabian goddess of fortune
Hāwlat - goddess of magic and power; patroness of the oases of Dumah and Hejra. The name of the goddess means ''to change (fortunes)'' and ''to avert''.
Abgal - north Arabian tutelary god; god of the desert and the patron of Bedouins and caravan drivers
Amm’anas - south Arabian god of agriculture
Nasr - god of the deep desert whose idol was a sculpture of a large vulture (in some sources an eagle) that was situated in a temple in the village of Balkha in Yemen. The sacred animal of Nasr, the vulture, was venerated by his worshipers as a totem of insight and sharp character; as well as this, the god represented the hostile and unforgiving aspects of nature, in particular, the desert.
Dhātu-Ba'dan - south Arabian goddess of oases, nature, and the wet season
Taraha - north Arabian goddess of fortune and prosperity. This goddess was also known as Tadha and was believed to watch over the tombs of the dead.
Al-Ghurab - god of the dead; his idol was in the form of a raven that was housed in the Ka'aba along with 360 other idols of gods and goddesses. Ravens were sacred to this god as guardians of the spirits of the dead
Kuthrā (''The Most Rich'') - central Arabian goddess of prosperity and fortune
Khomar - south Arabian god of wine and vineyards
Ya’uq is the south Arabian god of protection and preservation who was associated with swift thought and intelligence
Salman (or Salim) - god of oases, peace, and harmony. In the religion of the western Semites, Shalim was a god of the underworld and the dusk, and his name 'Shalim' (Peace) was meant as an allegory for the peace of the grave.
Rahmaw (or Rahmanan) - south Arabian god of mercy and protection, whose mythology was later absorbed into that of the creator god Allah.
Al-Jadd - god of luck
Jihār - west Arabian god of longevity, wisdom, and marketplaces
Isāt - south Arabian goddess of fire; counterpart to the Canaanite fire goddess Ishat, wife of Moloch
Yurhim - god of joy and happiness
Harimtu (or 'Athiratan) - south Arabian goddess of fertility; the mother of the gods and the wife of the sky god Ilmaqah
Ilmuqah (also known as Ilumquh and Almaqah) - south Arabian god of the sky and the chief tribal deity of the Sabaean Arabs. He was worshiped as the protector of artificial irrigation and his divine symbol was a cluster of lightning bolts surrounding a curved sickle. Bulls were the sacred animals of Ilmuqah. His name means ''The God Who Gives Health''
Shay al-Qawm - god of war, valour, and the night
Qaynan - god of metalworkers and smiths
Al-Kutbay (or al-Aktab) - god of writing, prophecy and merchants who was the scribe of the gods and recorder of all deeds and events
Raziqa (or Razeka) - goddess of the earth and fertility who was worshiped by the ancient tribes of Thamud and 'Ād as a provider of food and sustenance.
Nuha (or Nahi) - north Arabian goddess of wisdom and intelligence
Hafidha - goddess of travel and journeys
Thu'ban - god of snakes; believed to be a giant serpent who guarded the treasures in the well of the Ka'aba of Mecca.
Celestial Deities:
Hilāl - god of the moon; provided relief and dew for the weary desert nomads and their flocks. The waning crescent moon which was first visible before and after a new moon, heralded the start of Ramadan: this was a sacred time for the pagan Arabs of Mecca and the Hijaz, during which they fasted and feasted.
Shams - goddess of the sun and the chief goddess of the Himyar tribal confederation; believed by the inhabitants of the fertile lands of south Arabia to be a preserver of crops and domestic life, while other tribes with more intense heat viewed her as a destroyer of lands. She was both respected and feared.
Athtar - god of the planet Venus (linked with the Canaanite god Attar).  Athtar is the provider of water and a protector of irrigation systems. His sacred symbol is a spear-point as he is also a war god, and his sacred animal is the Arabian oryx (antelope).
Akhwar - god of righteousness and the planet Jupiter
'Utarid - god of intelligence, learning, writing, eloquence, and Mercury
Azizan (also known as Azizos) is the north Arabian god of the planet Mars who was associated with victory in battle and was depicted as riding on a camel alongside his brother Mun'im
Nakruh - god of the planet Saturn
Dhu’l-Samawi - god of the night sky, the stars, and the constellations whose name translates as "Lord of the Heavens". Bedouin tribes would bring their animals to the shrine of Dhu’l-Samawi when they were injured and they also sent sick people to reside at his shrine in order to receive healing.
Shangilā - north Arabian god of stars
Ash-Shi'rā - goddess of the Sirius star; believed to bestow wealth and good fortune
Ath-Thurayya - goddess of the Pleiades star cluster
As-Simāk ('The Uplifted One') is a west Arabian star god who was the deification of the star Arcturus in the constellation of Bootes and was worshiped to bring riches, renown and honor. The symbol of the god was the lance (ar-rimah) and was also named as Haris as-Samā', 'the Guardian of Heaven'.
Al-Dabaran (''The Follower'') - god of the star Aldebaran
Underworld Deities:
Mawt - god of death and sterility; the Arabian counterpart of the Canaanite god Mot; sacred animals of Mawt are owls. After a person died, their soul (nafs) was believed to descend to the land of Mawt, the akhirah; where they lead a calm, yet gloomy, existence as spirits (arwah) and as shades (ashbah). The Arabs believed the Underworld to be neither a place of reward nor punishment, but simply as a state of existence without pain or pleasure that most people would lead as a shabah or shade. But the spirits of priests and powerful and honoured people were believed to ascend to a heavenly otherworld (al-Munqalab) or the sky (as-Sama') itself, where they would enjoy the company of the gods and angels (mala'ikah) and would have power over human affairs in the Dunyā (the material world).
Hawkam - god of justice and the Judge of the Dead
Ba'alat-Sahra - a north Arabian goddess of the Underworld and the desert; she was an important goddess of the nomadic Semites; known to the Amorite tribe of southern Syria as Belet-Seri, the wife of their chief god Amurru.
Qaysha - south Arabian funerary goddess
Hawran - underworld god who presided over the spirits of disease which he could protect from or send at will as punishment; protected people from the venom of snakes.
Al-Muharriq - underworld god who was represented as a fierce deity at a red shrine and whose sacred animal was an adult male lion (usamah). Al-Muharriq, like his Babylonian counterpart Nergal, had a wrathful disposition; he was believed to send diseases and plagues if he was angry with the population. The name of the god means ''the Burner'' as he represented the scorching heat of the desert, as well as the heat of disease and fire.

Run the Jewels offer a joyful vision of the future filled with burning piles of cash and big group dance numbers in the new video for “Ooh La La.”
The video was directed by Brian and Vanessa Beletic, and in a statement, RTJ said: “This video is a fantasy of waking up on a day that there is no monetary system, no dividing line, no false construct to tell our fellow man that they are less or more than anyone else. Not that people are without, but that the whole meaning of money has vanished. That we have somehow solved our self-created caste system and can now start fresh with love, hope and celebration. It’s a dream of humanity’s V-DAY… and the party we know would pop off.”

A Babylonian hymn to Gula, goddess of healing

(TRANSLATION)
O Gula, most exalted lady, merciful mother, who dwells in the pure heavens, I call out to you, my lady, stand nearby and listen to me! I seek you out, I turn to you, as the hem of my god(’s) and goddess(’s garment), I lay hold of your (garment’s) hem, Because judging a case, handing down the decision, Because restoring and maintaining well-being are within your power, Because you know how to save, to spare, and to rescue. O Gula, sublime lady, merciful mother, Among the myriad stars of the heavens, O lady, to you I turn; my ears are attentive to you. Receive my flour offering, accept my prayer. Let me send you to my angry (personal) god (and) my angry (personal) goddess, To the god of my city who is furious and enraged with me. On account of oracles and dreams that are hounding me, I am afraid and constantly anxious. O Gula, most exalted lady, through the word of your august command, which is supreme in Ekur, And your sure approval, which cannot be altered, May my furious god turn back to me; may my angry goddess turn again to me with favor. May the god of my city who is furious and enraged with me, Who is in a rage, relent; who is incensed, be soothed. O Gula, most exalted lady, who intercedes on behalf of the powerless, With Marduk, king of the gods, merciful lord, Intercede! Speak a favorable word! May your wide canopy (of protection), your noble forgiveness be with me. Provide a requital of favor and life for me, That I may proclaim your greatness (and) resound your praises!

Another Babylonian hymn, this time for goddess Gula. Also known as Bau in Sumerian and Ninkarrak (Lady of the Wall), sometimes referred to as belet balaṭi (Lady of Health/Life) and Azugallatu (Great Healer), Gula is the Sumerian and Babylonian goddess of healing and health, the patron of physicians. As it is known, Mesopotamian medicine included both what we would today call a doctor, the asu, who applied medicine, treated symptoms and sometimes may even have done surgery, and an ašipu, a spiritual healer who expelled evil spirits and kept them at bay.
Her cult likely began in Sumer, then spread all over. Her symbol is the dog, which is why many clay dog figurines were gifted to her or made as amulets with her name and buried for protection. She’s often understood as the wife of agricultural and culture hero god Ninurta, who had a huge role in mythology as the killer of demons and monsters.
As for me, as I’ve recently began taking interest in magical healing, Gula has been taking up quite an important role in my routine devotions. She’s a quite powerful, though gentle and loving, goddess.
(If you plan on singing or reciting this, please remember that “š” sounds like the English “sh” and “ḫ” is guttural)
May the gods be praised!

Inspiring Treasure...Dream Being a fan of Kittie Nesius Beletic's "What Color Is You Dream?" published by Brown Books Publishing Group, I thought I might enjoy this book, "Dream: A Tale of Wonder, Wisdom, & Wishes" by Susan V. Bosak, so I ordered it. I am glad that I did! :) Go to Amazon
Love this book for all ages! I received this book as a preset about 5 years ago when I was struggling with depression. It tells the story of growing up through different life phases--as an infant, a toddler, a tween, a teen, a young adult, adult, and senior. It includes beautiful pictures of each, each by a different artist and in a different style. There is a powerful section describing disappointment in life. It describes feeling that "life wasn't supposed to be this way." It helped me normalize my experience with depression and helped me look for light and kindness to pick me up again. Go to Amazon
Love this book I purchased this book for my daughters high school graduation. I was trying to find something different than the usual Dr. Seuss "Oh the places you'll go" that is often the standard for graduations (which she did receive as a gift from a neighbor, so now she has both!). I was so glad I found this book, it is lovely. The pictures are well illustrated and the message in the book is perfect for my graduating "dreamer". She was just thrilled with this book. Go to Amazon
Excellent purchase! I bought this book mostly for the illustrations and wasn't disappointed at all. The inspiring quotes on every page give the book additional value. I feel great about my purchase :-) Go to Amazon
Five Stars Great book, great quotes, and great pictures. It can in very good conditions. Go to Amazon
Five Stars Beautiful book with inspirational quotes! Go to Amazon
Five Stars Beautiful book. Excellent for supporting classroom discussions and dreams and aspirations. And simply inspirational for all. Go to Amazon
A beautiful story with beautiful illustrations. I read this book to my 5th grade students at school. They were engaged throughout the entire book. This story prompted them to ask meaningful questions about life. They learned that dreams and goals for life change as you get older. It also helped them to understand that working hard at your dream is a big part of success! I loved it!!! Go to Amazon
Two Stars Great! Four Stars Five Stars Five Stars Four Stars Four Stars Four Stars Never Stop Dreaming

FAVOURITE TRACK: Artist: Run The Jewels feat. Greg Nice & DJ Premier. Track: Ooh LA LA (april 2020).
Official music video for "Ooh LA LA" from RTJ4, featuring Greg Nice & DJ Premier. we shot this video only a few weeks before the pandemic hit with no clue as to what the future held. the fact that we got the chance to do it is damn near miraculous in hindsight. in conceptualizing the video with our friends Brian and Vanessa Beletic we imagined the world on the day that the age old struggle of class was finally over. a day that humanity, empathy and community were victorious over the forces that would separate us based on arbitrary systems created by man. this video is a fantasy of waking up on a day that there is no monetary system, no dividing line, no false construct to tell our fellow man that they are less or more than anyone else. not that people are without but that the whole meaning of money has vanished. that we have somehow solved our self created caste system and can now start fresh with love, hope and celebration. its a dream of humanity’s V-DAY… and the party we know would pop off. love, RTJ

hmm writing. eventually probably. yeah that's a thing i do
for the followers that like my creative content: if i were to post another short story, would you rather it be focused on the "Belet's Dream" world (the advanced anthropomorphic animal society) or the "Machina Mundi" world (the post-apocalyptic robot society)?
the former has more readily fleshed out characters/plot lines i can explore, but the latter has more opportunity for some fucked up storytelling.

Cosmic Family (Regarding Malkerli)
im back with more writing! this time its pretty boring tho, basically just a bunch of worldbuilding and whatever. but if youre interested in my eldritch horror universe then you might find this helpful!! i might write more "boring worldbuilding" stories in the perspective of alu'teyl's archives but idk
Long ago, when time was young and all was one, there lie a great spiral of energy, the primordial one Kasa’nath. He was the epicenter of all things, a body of dense mass, which inevitably would reach an ultimate point— causing His body to implode. The sheer power and energy of the implosion caused a massive expansion of what we now know as the universe. The aftermath of this event left an abundance of energy scattered throughout the dimension.
The “creation” of a cosmic god requires two vital steps: developing the concepts and identity of a god, and getting the energy required to make its physical being. Though it sounds unbelievably simple, it cannot be done too easily by mortal hand. The gathering of energy takes great power, and concepts of a god are best formed within the mind and dreams of other gods. However, it isn’t out of the realm of possibility for mortals to achieve such a feat— but since it’s too grueling of a task for small hands, no fleshly being or congregation has ever succeeded thus far.
Great Kasa’nath, after expanding the universe, severed off a fraction of His own energy to stabilize His form and, with that energy, birthed the elder children Neyebel, Baleth, and Nyell’yahg’hoth. Two new lineages were born from excess energy in the universe, creating the gods known as Vahl’seyanua and Dist’hajinn. These five gods are known as the Elder-Beings, great avatars of cosmic importance, yet all still obey the wrath of Great Kasa’nath, the first and primordial one. Nyell’yahg’hoth and Vahl’seyanua oversee Their own worlds, Dist’hajinn exists as the messenger of Great Kasa’nath, Baleth is the conductor of a formidable demon army, and Neyebel would become infamous amongst the dark children… for doing nothing. Neyebel simply lazes about amongst the stars, vaguely dreaming of worlds not quite real and slumbering infinitely without a cause. I do envy Him, really.
The Elder-Beings would then go on to create their own offspring. Vahl’seyanua had a single son, which would be I, Alu’teyl. I inherited Her duties as a tender of knowledge, as She went on to look after Her own world, and now I sit writing cosmic records of the past. Baleth created the “Twin Terrors” Nereith and Yll’tu, who share a deep loathing for each other, which sparked an unending cosmic turmoil that still goes on to this day. Nyell’yahg’hoth created Elil’habat, who would help Him oversee His own world. And finally, Dist’hajinn created Yeneth, Ngulyah, Belet, and Amatu. All four are wandering gods that visit whichever world they please. This new generation of gods are known as the Great Ones, considerably powerful yet much more flawed in nature, as the energy passed down through each generation grows to be less and less.
Despite the now-obvious lessening power in each coming generation of gods, we still decided to have young. I, myself, had four children: Saht, You’el, Seb’yed, and Ah’lelled. They all help me with organizing my records and writings in a place known as the Deep Garden, a library of all that I and my mother have journaled. I love them deeply, even if some others aren’t as welcoming of them. Nerieth had Ahkemat and Eyyel, who act as governing deity-kings of Nereith’s world. Yll’tu had Gal’leil, a little-known god that curiously disappeared, and whose whereabouts are still unknown today. Elil’habat had Iyid, Waji, and E’nenn, demi-gods that slumber in the world of Nyell’yahg’hoth. Dist’hajinn’s offspring remained without children themselves. This generation of gods is referred to as the Dark Ones, formidable figures in the mortal eye, yet rather pitiful in some godly eyes. I can’t say I’m one of them, as I believe every god has their place in the cosmos, no matter how they were born. I try my best to be impartial in my retelling of the past, but I also feel that I must make my opinion known now.
The last generation, which is considered to be the final, is made up of demi-gods with limited abilities and flawed physical forms (i.e. they can be harmed or killed by mortal hands). They are known as the “Young Ones” (though consider the cosmic definition of “young” still being thousands of years old, which seems ancient to some mortals). Most gods higher up on the generational chain tend to look down on this generation, but I must admit that I am rather fond of them as well. It may just be my friendly nature that’s clouding my judgment— or, perhaps, it's the other way around. My son, Seb’yed, had Tama and Sedt, who are currently still “adolescents” in a way, so neither I nor Seb’yed have assigned them any duties yet. They currently play together and explore the Deep Garden, and are quite adorable. Ahkemat had Naohadt, Kali, and Hasir who, as far as I know, live ordinary, almost “mortal” lives. Gal’leil had Luxe’yoth, who seems to be struggling with maintaining her own world, and Ulgg’yael, who is currently helping her poor sister. This is where the family tree has ended, but I must touch on a few more subjects.
To start, I must add that reproduction between two gods is very possible. However, the family tree was continued solely through asexual reproduction, which I can only best describe as nuclear fission, likely because none of the gods can get along enough to agree on reproducing. Moreover, there are only three separate unrelated lineages, and one of which is terribly small. Reproducing with a god you are related to is not only impossible, but also quite weird. The only pair of gods I can recall that are cordial with each other are Nyell’yahg’hoth and my mother, Vahl’seyanua.
And, to address a much more important detail, there is another god out there. One that everyone is quite uncertain of. Her name is Malkerli. Now, as far as I am aware, the birthing of a god is rather messy in nature, and scatters excess energy throughout the cosmos. I believe that, after the expansion of the lineages and the forgotten energy of Kasa’nath’s imploding, this excess congregated into one space and began to form, much like how gods do when they are born. However, the issue is that the birthing of a god requires a concept of said god, dreamt up by other godly beings, yet nobody in the cosmos has a clue about Malkerli. As far as we know, She appeared on Her own. We are also clueless about Her capabilities, as She is rather rebellious in nature, and doesn’t want to demonstrate for us.
The gods have informally decided on an equally split responsibility for Malkerli, which is to say, a god looks after the orphaned one for a certain period of time before dropping Her off to the next. I’ve learned that, while She can be quite strange and mischievous, She is a diligent caretaker of the Deep Garden and enjoys sharing Her knowledge with me.

Five Stars Beautiful book. Excellent for supporting classroom discussions and dreams and aspirations. And simply inspirational for all. Go to Amazon
Four Stars Good content Go to Amazon
Five Stars My students really enjoyed this book. Go to Amazon
Five Stars Wonderful book! Wonderful to give as gift! Go to Amazon
Four Stars I like to give this to graduates for inspiration Go to Amazon
