I was supposed to do only three, but took two extra days for completing all 6. Sorry about the late, and thanks for suggesting these :)
First is Tobio Oike, suggested by @jun-hyungs, Hyoma and Jin Aizawa suggested by @art-ember, Johannes suggested by @masterofdemise, Tyson Granger by @themistymermaid, and finally Ray Kon by @ordinaryshellfish
Jin was rly fun to draw ngl, sedge he was the only beyburst character. Also, added too much cat to Johannes. Tyson was suggested in reblogs but drew him anyway. Bsb characters are also all S1 designs cuz. I like S1.
Here's just another background I thought would work
I got carried away, as in, I thought I would just use the digital pen tool but instead used the other method that takes me more time but at least, it gives variation in lines, which is pretty to look at...
So yeah, feel free to suggest me stuff, I'd love to draw for the community. Tho, I only need time. Art trades n stuff always seemed like a cool idea. I would wanna do these if I get a chance.
There were two more characters suggested which I will be doing next and posting thru the ask directly. I hope I don't get carried away this time bru, cuz Kikura Gen is actually a big fav of mine.
Recently I finished rewatching Beyblade and was remembered on how influential the show was on me. Not only personally but also artistically. I vividly remember how I ran home from school in order to watch Beyblade at 3'o Clock, not to miss a single episode. There was something about this show that just hooked me. The battles, the music. The characters. After G-Revolution I drew my own comics with the characters. Of their own battles, their own interpersonal struggles and it was my very first AU. (lets say I wasn't too happy with Dranzers Faith in G-Revolution and I wanted to draw a happier ending).
It also brought me and the neighbourkids together , as they were obsessed with Beyblade as well and we replayed the episodes on the playground while we argued who will be Kai in the end. (we did the same with Digimon, especially with Digimon Frontier, but that's a story for another day.) In Winter I tried to wear my scarf like Kai and I looked ridiculous but personally I related to him the most as a kid. I still do as an adult. I burn for art in a similar way as Kai and Tyson burn for Beyblade. But like Kai, I'm also a person who does not speak much and is rather on the introverted and calmer side. I rather like my work to speak for myself rather than the words that come out of my mouth. (but if you speak about art around me, make sure I won't shut up about it )
Anyway. In order to show my love, I decided to draw this Fanart. I chose that very iconic place from episode one, where Kai and Tyson meet for the very first time. However, except of drawing all the other Kids, I decided to draw the Bladebreakerz. I tried to capture the anticipation before the battle, the tension, the excitment. Almost a similar feeling I have whenever I start a new artwork.
What was your favorite show while growing up? And if it's also Beyblade, who is your favorite character :)?
Hey, original Beyblade anime fandom… I just want to check in and see how many of you are still on here. I know tumblr isn’t really in its heyday anymore, but you girls are my favorite fandom, so… comment and say hi, press the like button, or reblog and let me know you’re still around! Also, I promise I’m still here. I take breaks from Beyblade on purpose so I don’t overdose on too much of a good thing.
Finished this late for Beyblade Day 2024 (and the 25th anniversary of Beyblade) but at least it's done now ^^ Full-colored version of a quick sketch I'd done in November last year, which in turn was based off a commemorative pic in Vol4 of the original Bakuten Shoot manga.
