My Scale Colour Headcanons for the different dragon species:

Mudwings: Scales can be anywhere from Fawn and Cream to Almost-Black browns. Oranges, Reds, Browns, Greys, Greens and Blues are very normal. Fire/Ice/Mind-Proof Mudwings may have a slight crystalline or red hue.

Skywings: Any Warm Colour Goes. Brighter scales are seen as having hotter fire and a more passionate personality, making them the beauty standard. Rarely, blue or grey skywings may be spotted.

Icewings: Incredibly pale colours of any hue, more saturated hues of cold colours or greys. Brown scales seem to be decently common but are seen as unattractive and unconformist.

Sandwings: Any Colour sand can be! We're talkin your standard beige, yellow, cream, brown and red, but also white, pink, black, green and grey. Sandwings are also very to have cold colour accents and funky patterns.

Nightwings: Any colour as long as its dark.

Rainwings: Go crazy go stupid. Rainwings are all hatched with different shades of green scales.

Seawings: Any colour or combination. Blue and Green are the most common though, and blue seawings are seen as the beauty standard. Rarely, seawings can be iridescent.

Leafwings: Greens, Yellows, Oranges and Reds with great variety in accent colours.

Hivewings: Any colour. Though the black and yellow hivewing is the beauty ideal and the most iconic hivewing colour, those with those coloured scales are rather rare. Most hivewings are brown, black or red. Hivewings are the most likely to be iridescent.

Silkwings: Any colour, though blacks, whites, blues, browns and oranges are the most common by far.

Phryne fashion tournament: looks one to eight

1. Gold sequin gown (Framed for Murder)

Our first look of the tournament is Phryne's gold sequin dress from Framed For Murder's dinner party scenes. It has a wide neckline, the low back scoop accented by three gold across her bare upper back.

Our third look is from the climax of Dead Air - Phryne's grey tweed coat with white panels worn over an all-black look and paired with her break and enter beret. It's a classic look, the beret and the coat appearing together previously in Raisins and Almonds. This time she's accessorised with a black and white brooch.

4. Green waltz dress (Death at the Grand)

Look number four is Phryne's beautifully cut dress from the waltz scene in season three's Death at the Grand. The sutble pattern on the fabric is offset by simple details like the cord at the neckline and the clasp at the hip. She has a matching shawl but discards this to get down to risky business.

5. Sequin swing coat with black fur trim and B&E beret (Murder a la Mode)

For look five, Phryne wears this wonderful sequined coat with a flower pattern and black fur trim. Seen when investigating at the House of Fleuri, she's paired it a black camisole and the ever reliable break & enter beret.

6. Silver patterned dressing gown (various episodes)

This one appears in several episodes, starting with season one's The Green Mill Murder. The silvery white fabric has a black floral pattern. 7. Lilac damask dress and gold shawl (Queen of the Flowers)

So I’m thinking I’m gonna work on an illusion scarf while I’m visiting my lil sister (she’s gonna be working most of the time I’m down there so I’ll probably be knitting or on tumblr for a majority of the next two weeks) but I’m not sure what design to do as I don’t have two separate greens, or a green and a purple for a riddler scarf, so far the colors I have are:

Dark green

Orange

Kinda medium brown?

Bright-ish blue

Grenadine

Dark gray

Dark brown

Kinda off-white?

Beige

Pastel green that I really thought, and still believe, was a very light blue before reading the label so I don’t count it as green and will have to bring it into a different light to see if I think this is actually green or just very mislabeled

“Cream” (I would have described this as pastel yellow, what is up with these labels)

Red

Black

All my really fun colors are either tangled up, being used for a different project, or aren’t the same weight so they’ll look funky if I tried to pair them with the prev colors

Remember my posts on how I would make Balan Wonderworld a better game and the posts on the hypothetical quotes of each of the Inhabitants?

In this post, I'll write down the various outfits that can be unlocked for each character. Each character will have six outfits in total, including their default outfit. Some of the females may have their hairstyle changed.

Dragon Colors

alright, now that the post about the character dynamics is up, it's time to get into what colors everyone's dragons are! Names & powers will be a separate post bc unfortunately i get a little obsessive about that so not everyone's dragon has a name/power so far rip. once again putting this under the cut bc idk how long this post is gonna get 🙈 EDITED 1/28/24

Edit to add: eye colors are the dragons' eye colors!

Reader's is a coppery-bronze, in some lighting there's an almost green undertone. she has green eyes

Satoru's is an icy white, has a slight blue undertone in some lights. he has blue eyes

Suguru's is black, with a slightly purple undertone. he has yellow eyes

Nanami's is khaki-beige & dark brown. she has brown eyes

Kokoro's (Nanami's sister) is off-white (think the color of unbleached flour) & caramel brown. she has light brown eyes

Shoko's is white & chocolatey brown. she has turquoise eyes

Utahime's is red & white. she has dark blue, almost black eyes

Megumi's is black & white. he has bright green eyes

Tsumiki's is honey-yellow & brown. he has brown eyes

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTIONS

>INTRODUCTION.EXE

Although it’s not a big must to include a vivid description of your character, it would be ideal because if you don’t, your reader will form his/her own impression which creates a problem if later the character is described, making the reader have to adjust their thinking to suit the description which should never happen.

Little reminders of different physical attributed, habits, gestures, etc., combined with action add to the feel of the character, making them ‘living and breathing beings.’ Some writers may not describe their character and leave it up to the readers to form their own image but remember, this is your canvas, your characters! And they should be imagined the way you have them visualized in your head.

As a writer, writing character descriptions is important because you are painting the canvas for your readers and no artist leaves any details out. Some ways to write strong characters is starting with physical appearance; since literature is non-visual, a picture is the first step towards building your characters development and instead of focusing on monotone words, choose the adjectives that stand out to you and really go along with the image you have in mind about your character, and think of the characters interests and hobbies; if you mention that your character likes harry potter, your readers might imagine them with some sort of accessory in their outfit that represent him.

Of course, in our life, we see many different people, with many different traits and features, so why not use them? Practicing writing character descriptions that fit the people in your life is a great way to make the description flow easily especially if there was a person who really caught your eye, and you still remember them. Writing descriptions that feature your friends and family will make it easier for you because you’ve spent so much time with them. So try to make a list of possible physical traits and character traits that you’ve observed in your life, like when you meet someone new, what’s the first thing you notice? Think of your first impressions of people and create your own person.
