Richard Curtis, you say Crowley?
Hmm. I can just imagine Crowley sliding up to certain writer one day in the pub and suggesting a series about a certain sassy, sarcastic noble who has a black snake as his heraldic animal who is always having to come up with a "cunning plan." Coincidence...?

Bonus Shax as good Queen Bess, in her younger days, in the 2nd GIF. From Blackadder 2, co-written by Richard Curtis and Ben Elton.

On 10th February 1567 Henry, Lord Darnley, husband of Mary, Queen of Scots, was murdered in Kirk O'Field
Early in the morning on 10th February 1567 Darnley, was found murdered. His body and that of his valet were discovered in the orchard of Kirk o’Field in Edinburgh, where they had been staying. The house had been torn apart by two large explosions in the middle of the night.
Darnley was undoubtedly the intended victim because two barrels of gunpowder had been placed in a small room underneath his sleeping quarters. He was dressed only in his nightshirt, which suggests he had fled in some haste from his bedchamber.
Upon further examination, the bodies had no signs of injuries that could be associated with the explosion, so the blast was not considered to have killed Darnley. It was determined that the two men were killed by either being  smothered strangulation, believed to have taken place after the explosion.
Some say Darnley’s death was at the hands of the Earl of Bothwell, whose subsequent marriage to Mary led to a state of civil war in Scotland. In my own view it wasn’t so cut and dry.
Although it is still a mystery, a number of arrests and subsequent executions took place, the first was almost certainly a miscarriage of justice. Captain William Blackadder, an associate of Bothwell, was e executed on 14th June 1567, although it was said he was only a bystander. Lord Herries wrote in 1656 that Blackadder rushed out of a tavern at the Tron on the Royal Mile at the sound of the explosion and was arrested.
He swore he was innocent before an assize made of Lennox men, tenants of Darnley's father, and was hanged, drawn and quartered, you might think this harsh, but Darnley, although estranged from Queen Mary, was still a King, of sorts and it was the normal punishment for treason.
In December 1567, John Hepburn of Boltoun (John of Bowtoun), John Hay heir apparent of Tallo, William Powrie and George Dalgleish, all servants of Bothwell, were put on trial. They were condemned to be hanged and quartered. The head of Dalgleish was  set on the Netherbow gate of Edinburgh.
William Powrie had made a statement in June, which describes how he and his companions carried the powder to the King's Lodging. He included the detail that as they were carrying the empty chests back up Blackfriar's Wynd, they saw the Queen and her party, "going before thame with lit torches."
In my opinion this version of events was pure fabrication, probably either said after being tortured, or just made up by those who held him. Do you really think Mary Queen of Scots would actually skulk around in the dead of night when she would have any number of servants to carry out the murders?
The French valet, Nicolas Hubert, called Paris, said that Bothwell came to the lodging with Mary, and making the excuse that he needed the toilet, took Paris aside and asked him for the keys. Paris explained that it was not his role to hold the keys. Bothwell told him of his plans. Paris was troubled by the conversation, and went to pace up and down in St Giles Kirk. Fearful of the conspiracy he considered taking ship at Leith. In his second interrogation Paris named Captain Blackadder, who had already been executed. Paris was executed on 16 August 1567.
One longstanding theory is the suggestion that the Earls of Morton and Moray were behind the murder, directing Bothwell's actions, to forward Moray's ambitions. These Earls made a denial of their involvement in their lifetime. The later and partisan Memoirs written by John Maxwell, Lord Herries in 1656, follow and develop this line of reasoning. Herries, after considering the arguments of previous writers, believed that Mary herself was innocent of involvement, and the two Earls arranged her marriage to Bothwell. This is the more likely scenario that I believe in.
James Douglas, Earl of Morton, was executed on 2nd June 1581 on the Maiden, a form of guillotine which he himself had imported from France.  After his execution, Morton's body was buried in an unmarked grave at Edinburgh's Greyfriars Kirkyard, and his head was displayed on a pike at the Netherbow as a warning to others.
The first pic is a contemporary  drawing of the murder scene at Kirk o' Field, it  includes at the top left the infant James VI sitting up in his cot praying: "Judge and avenge my cause, O Lord;" in the centre lie the rubble remains of the house; to the right Darnley and his servant lie dead in the orchard; below, the townspeople of Edinburgh gather round and four soldiers remove a body for burial. The artist was employed by Sir William Drury, Marshall of Berwick, who sent the sketch to England.
The sketch includes several cryptic elements. At first it appears to be an eye-witness account of the murder scene. However the infant James was not present, nor could he speak the words attributed to him at the time. Thus the image changes by its inclusion from an eye-witness account, to a propaganda poster, as an allegory. This same motto and a similar image of father and son was used on the banner of the rebel Confederate Lords, first displayed at Edinburgh Castle, then again at Carberry Hill.

Recently watch Blackadder. It's so damn funny! And the 2nd season got these beautiful elizabethan clothes. And I just want to draw Lymond in one of those. I'm not really drawing that closely to the reference. Just taking a lot of liberties here. And as usual, I gloss over the shoes and the hands lol.
Edit; Add quotes I like regarding to or spoken by Lymond from the series. Some background and highlight changes.

Note
What is your favorite Blackadder series? I used to think the fourth was the best but on rewatching, I think the 2nd series overall is great. And while I like the finale for the 4th series, though a bit overrated, the 2nd series finale is hands down the single funniest episode in the entire show
Agreed, the second in my mind is the “classic.” I do enjoy the 4th though I struggle these days with historian bias and viewing it as a somewhat unwelcome product of the 1960s-onward WW1 revisionism. For some reason I’ve hardly seen any of the 3rd season.

#kimickaphotoaday December Day 30: Reflect 🤔 2020. This has been one crazy year. Despite the general state of the world, I think I managed to make some good memories along the way. From turning 26, to celebrating birthdays & holidays at home with family. I managed to do a photo a day challenge every month. It was an election year, and we took part in this historic election by voting early in October. And we masked up to protect ourselves and everyone else. I didn’t see my friends in person at all this year, but we zoomed & kept in touch online. Stephenie Meyer FINALLY released Midnight Sun, Twilight from Edwards POV, after all these years. I’m still only half way through. Lol. And it was a helluva year in music. My two favorite artists released loads of music this year. Taylor Swift dropped not one but TWO surprise albums. And they are both so good. And Taeyeon released the repackage of her 2nd full album Purpose, her single Happy, her 2nd Japanese mini album #GirlsSpkOut, and her 4th Korean Mini album, What Do I Call You. I acquired 4 kpop albums this year. Taeyeon’s Purpose repackage, SNSD’s Lion Heart, Taeyeon’s What Do I Call You, and Taeyeon’s Winter Is Coming: This Christmas. And my top nine posts this year has been kind of surprising lol. That evanescence post. 4 SNSD posts. The Pretty Reckless CD. Beka Cooper. Blackadder. And the sweets from my sisters birthday. Lol. Overall I think 2020 has been an..interesting year. I can’t say it was a good year, from the state of the world at the moment. But it had its moments. Here’s to heading into a new year. #reflect #topnine #reflectingon2020 #nye #newyearseve #me #myface #lookingbackat2020 #snsd #taylorswift #evanescence #taeyeon #girlsgeneration #theprettyreckless #blackadder #kpop #throwback #music #evermore #folklore #fun #yearinreview2020 #photo #photoaday #photoadaychallenge https://www.instagram.com/p/CJedv7eHmZc/?igshid=5325rqh7f4ad

causes for the start to ww1
5 main causes
imperial rivalry
anglo-german naval race
the moroccan crises
balkans crisis
assassination of franz ferdinand
imperial rivalry
european countries had built up empires
germany wanted to be a part of it
having a lot of territory made you rivals with other countries
raised tension and hostility
anglo-german naval race
kaiser wilhelm announced germany’s aim for a powerful navy in 1890’s
they had the most powerful navy at the time
britain didn’t like the idea of being challenged by germany
race to build a bigger navy than the other ensued
raised tension & hostility
both countries’ confidence soared
the moroccan crises
at the turn of the century, morocco was its own country, but neighbouring Algeria was under french control and was a big influence on them
the first moroccan crisis involved germany attempting to prevent the french gaining more control of morocco
germany backed down before war broke out
2nd moroccan crisis was when france sent troops to help the sultan prevent a rebellion
germany sent a gunboat to the port of agadir to stop them
the balkans crisis
the balkans are in south-east europe
complex area (many different ppl, languages, & ideas)
austria-hungary annexed bosnia in 1908
serbia - a neighbouring country - was angry
they wanted to annex bosnia
austria-hungary’s interference in the balkans made russia angry
built up tension & hostility like the others

Opinion about the empire building and germanys wanting of a “place in the sun”
Theres a moment in one of my favourite shows that illustrates the tensions in morocco pretty well. It's a show called blackadder, and despite being a comedy, they teach some very interesting fthings about the great war. Heres a quote about the germanys territory building in morocco:
Lieutenant George : The war started because of the vile Hun and his villainous empire- building.
Captain Blackadder : George, the British Empire at present covers a quarter of the globe, while the German Empire consists of a small sausage factory in Tanganiki. I hardly think that we can be entirely absolved of blame on the imperialistic front.
This, although being a show in the in the 1980s, shows how some brits were conscious of the hypocrisy of britain restraining and prohibiting germany from creating an empire.
Well we’ve gotten this far explaining the causes of maybe how tensions arose, leading to the snapping point of the war starting but how did the war start then?
Well, blackadder has an interesting quote on this too.
Private Baldrick : I heard that it started when a bloke called Archie Duke shot an ostrich 'cause he was hungry.
Captain Blackadder : I think you mean it started when the Archduke of Austro-Hungary got shot.
Private Baldrick : Nah, there was definitely an ostrich involved, sir.
Captain Blackadder : Well, possibly. But the real reason for the whole thing was that it was too much effort not to have a war.
Yada yada, this and that, then the captain says
Captain Blackadder : You see, Baldrick, in order to prevent war in Europe, two superblocs developed: us brits, the French and the Russians on one side, and the Germans and Austro-Hungary on the other. The idea was to have two vast opposing armies, each acting as the other's deterrent. That way there could never be a war
Private Baldrick : But, this is a sort of a war, isn't it, sir?
Captain Blackadder : Yes, that's right. You see, there was a tiny flaw in the plan.
Private Baldrick : What was that, sir?
Captain Blackadder : It was bollocks.
This, although it was purely written for comedy, illustrates what happened pretty well. But no, how did the war start?
Well, the immediate cause for World War 1 was the assassination of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his pregnant wife Sophie in Sarajevo on 28th June 1914. Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria was the nephew of Emperor Franz Josef, and heir to the throne of Austria and Hungary. The assassination was planned by a Serbian terrorist group called The Black Hand and the man who shot Franz Ferdinand and his wife was a Bosnian revolutionary named Gavrilo Princip.
Because of this, Austria-Hungary threatened war on Serbia. Germany sided by Austria-Hungary, while Russia sided with the Serbians.
One month after the Archduke’s assassination- on July 28 1914- Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia with the backing of Germany. Germany then declared war on Russia on August 1, and on France on August 3.
On the 4th of August, 1914, the German troops marched on France and the route they took went through Belgium. Since Britain was allied with Belgium, they saw this as an act of aggression, and immediately declared war on Germany.

Soulless Riffing: Brainless Ch.10 + 11.
I got a supernatural action/romance book series as a gift that’s just riddled with stuff that I hate….and as a steampunk Victorian London action romance story filled with werewolves and vampires…it’s yeah gonna be easy to poke fun at.
I just want to say, it’s totally cool if you like this story or ones like it!  It’s certainly a better caliber than a lot of what I make fun of…however…I can’t help but want to make fun of it.
Over here for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7+8th, and 9th.
Chapter 10 is short so I threw in 11 too! SO FUCK IT HERE GOES!
Tumblr media
Chapter 10
So this zombie bursts in to attack Alexia and Lord Akeldama.  The zombie’s clever plan is to just start…pouring chloroform on the floor. I don’t think that’s how that works but lol ok whatever. Immediately the super powerful vampire is out cold.  They talk about how gaudy and huge Lord Akeldama’s house is, so I totally pictured the zombie kicking the door open, pouring it, and even though he’s still like 50 feet away he’s out like a light.
So my head canon for this is the zombie is like, “Well they’re obviously going to get away! Why bother!?” So he just pours out a medicine bottle’s worth of chloroform out of annoyed futility. Lord Akeldama since he’s such a DANDY thinks the zombie poured some kind of staining liquid like wine all over his centuries old, priceless Turkish rug.  He’s so mortified that his favorite rug is ruined and feints on the spot.
Now this scenario makes sense, YOU’RE WELCOME!
Alexia is able to hit the zombie in the head 3 times before she realizes that’s not working and the fumes OVERCOME HER! YES SHE LITERALLY GETS THE VAPORS!
THANK FUCK! FOR ACTUAL DRAMA!
When she wakes up she’s being dragged bound and gagged into the Hypocras Club for scientists.  She overhears some shady biz about how they want to experiment on Lord Akledama.  She also notices an obnoxiously prominent octopus motif in the place.  It might as well read,
“Alexia turned the octopus-shaped knob, of the octopus-shaped door, to reveal an octopus-shaped hallway, with live octopuses hanging from the wall all wondering where they got such a bad rep from.”
The two of them get thrown in a cell and are able to undo their gags.  The less cool version of Blackadder’s Prince George (Lord Akeldama) explains that the zombie-thing is an automaton or basically a fleshy robot/golem.  He also explains that the robot can only be undone if you speak the magic word. Looks as if safe words work much better in this universe than they ever did in 50 shades!
Tumblr media
ALSO JUST KIDDING CAUSE THERE’S ANOTHER WAY TO STOP IT BUT WON’T BE REVEALED UNTIL IT’S A SUPER TENSE MOMENT! HARDY HAR HAR!
But we actually get a genuinely good scene after this where Lord Akledama talks about the fact they both may die.  He says that, if it’s possible, he wants Alexia to hold his hand so he can see the sun one last time.  It’s cheesy, and probably not going to be applicable in the situation they’re in, but it’s really sweet and sad and I like it.  The baddies then come back to drag Akledama out of the cell, presumably to be tortured to death.
NO! I WAS JUST STARTING TO ACTUALLY LIKE HIM!
Say something Nice Faps:
Actual plot
No or little mention of the dumbass ship
Akledama wanting to see the sun.
Chapter 11
So Alexia is not having the best time in the cell by herself but eventually she hears voices. We have super unsubtle exposition that boils down to.
“So yeah we’re torturing werewolves and vampires, so we can figure out how to genocide them REAL GOOD!”
Hoo boy listen. The only other racist thing against vampires/werewolves we have seen in action is a woman talk briefly about how untoward it is that a business is catering to THOSE kinds of people. I will not count all the vague times Alexia alludes to them being oppressed with no concrete examples.
Going from, Bad person is annoyed they may have to glance at a vampire while at a cafe, to inhuman experiments meant to further genocide is AT BEST a huge jump and at worse flat out feels entirely separate from the setting created.
Fun Fact: Racism isn’t a child predator who hides in the shadows and pops out when you need a scapegoat.  Racism is fucking everywhere effecting everything.
Don’t try to add racism allusions in your story if you can’t grasp that fundamental concept.
Faps, nobody picked up steampunk werewolf fucker for commentary on race. And besides the inability to grasp the complexity of racism is going to seem quaint next to some of the dumb writing bullshit coming up next.
So during this conversation this mysterious bad man also states, “We have a random human in this cell, cause she was there lol.”
“Can I see her?”
“Lol why not!?”
So we open up the cell to meet the big baddie Siemons, whom, I’m probably just going to refer to as childish evilguy nicknames for awhile cause his characterization is as on the nose as you can get.  Like no joke, whenever they mention him smiling it’s, “He smiles psychotically.”
The guy, Mr. bigbad was talking to turns out to be #1 Stud MacDougall!
GASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSP
Actually I totally called this cause she mentions 3 times during their short conversation that she recognizes the 2nd voice, it would be most DRAMATIC, and cause I have money down that he’s secretly a bad, bad man so Alexia doesn’t feel bad about not fucking a fatty. She’s not shallow; he’s just a bad person you see.
BUT, to this story’s credit MacDougall is AGHAST to find Alexia in there, goes to her side, and demands she be set free at once.
Evilbaddy Von Octo-dump is like, “Oh! She’s Alexia the Soulless who can stop supernatural powers! We inexplicably did not put 2 and 2 together despite being super smart Nazi-scientists.  I mean we very obviously tried to kidnap her 3 separate times, and stole her records for more info. But we weren’t actually interested in kidnapping her. We just tried to get a vampire and took her along for the lulz!”  Why even put in the effort to say they weren’t after her? This is stupid!
MacDougall, despite studying the supernatural FOR A LIVING, has never heard of the Soulless phenomenon and like…
FUCK HOW AND WHY AND ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!
The author states explicitly that all the supernaturals in England not only are aware of the Soulless but are informed of the identity of every single Soulless.  How would normies NOT know? Vampires and werewolves hang with humans all the time, and it makes no sense why the Soulless would be hidden information from the general public.  Soulless can pose a threat to the supernatural not regular boring humans, there’s no reason to believe that the average citizen is going to be upset at this knowledge at all.
This wouldn’t even, so far, cause any plot inconsistencies if everybody knew.  I think the rub here is that we have to justify her family not knowing so the reveal would make them upset, but we’ll see how important that plot point actually is.  Honestly, I fear the author is just so used to supernatural media where SOMETHING is hidden from the general population she felt compelled to do the same.
MacDougall convinces Meaniemollusk NaziStink to take off her restraints and try to get her on their side. They allow her to clean up and change. Alexia takes advantage of this to go to the Octopus shaped mirror, break off an octopus-shaped shard, cover it in octo-cloth, and hide it in her octo-bosum.
Alexia tries to play dumb and meek in order to appease Squidlly MurderMan.  He tells her he plans to kill all Vampires and Werewolves.  She points out that they’re scientists with a political agenda and apparently that’s her breaking her bimbo character and the gig is up.
OKAY?????????????????
They then take her to another cell.  On the way there she hears Lord Akeldama’s blood-curling torture screams, but she doesn’t seem all that upset.  I mean she probably doesn’t want to appear outwardly upset to blow the gig even more, but we don’t really have much internal monologue about how worried she is.
So that’s cool.
They want to test her soulsucking ability and she lies saying it takes an hour. (Which is hard to believe, isn’t soulless supposed to be common knowledge in England, and also they stole all the notes anyway they probably know.)  They also OUTRIGHT SAY they’re planning on killing her anyway but it would be rad if she was cool about it. They say they’re going to murder/test it by putting her in a cell with a rabid werewolf to SEE WHAT HAPPENS!? (She’d probably die but lol turns out it’s Lord Maccon aren’t we all shocked.) But like let’s break this whole mess down.
1.)    You uhhh consider LYING that you won’t kill her if she cooperates. That tends to encourage people to cooperate. YOU ARE BAD PEOPLE AFTERALL AND BAD PEOPLE LIE!
2.)    HOW FUCKING INCOMPREHENSIBLY DUMB ARE THESE FUCKING SCIENTISTS!?  You UHH MAYBE consider you could learn a fuck-load from experiments where a person can turn off a supernaturals’ ability at will? PERHAPS it’ll be easier to genocide them if they’re not super-fast, super strong, immortal AND can heal real fast????? WHAT COLOSSAL FATHEADS ARE RUNNING THIS JOINT!? AUTHOR? YOU CAN HAVE THEM BE SUPER EVIL AND BAD WITHOUT THEM IMMEDIATELY TRYING TO KILL PROTAG? YANNO?
Also throwing her in a locked room with a PEAK werewolf, even if they never believed it took that long, is basically instant-death for her.  She’s kinda arrogant when it comes to self-defense but even she’s like, “I’d be super lucky if I even reach the point of having the shit kicked out of me before I can turn him completely enough for them to not be a threat.”
So they take the antidote to the supposed poison they want to snuff out and just dump it down the drain.
BUT GOLLY I’M SURE LOOKING FORWARD TO THOSE OVERGROWN CHILDREN ALMOST FUCKING IN THAT CELL! THAT’S GONNA BE SWELL!
Say something Nice Faps:
No shitty Maccon/Alexia verbal sparring
MacDougall does try to not get her killed. I mean he just shouts dramatically.  Not that I’m asking him to fall right on a sword but it does seem a bit tepid. But like for a woman who gleefully and regularly puts herself in danger? Maybe that’s the response that’s appropriate.
Also the author never really says MacDougall is down to clown with Murder Bigots.  So I guess what I’m trying to say is I’d still fuck MacDougall apart.

35, 41, 59, 79, 85, 88, 96, 121, 144, 180, 189, 195, 219, 224 wow lol that’s a lot
34- Are you nice to everyone?
the answer is yes, mostly. Because some people are assholes.
41- Share 2 habits:
sleeping way too fucking much and biting my nails. it’s a weird mix of being anxious and being exhausted.
59- Five weird things that you like:
1. i’ve been weirdly into tonic water lately, it’s replaced seltzer as my go-to drink. seltzer was to replace soda cause i drank way too much of that.
2. i fucking love nudibranchs. the little tiny sea slugs with the lungs-out look. so groovy. so squishy.
3. Red Dwarf and Blackadder. two old-ish BBC comedy shows that are incredibly underappreciated.
4. planes. I really fucking like planes. especially engines. and spacecraft. that’s why i’m an aerospace major. as i write this im raving to someone about the B1 Lancer, a variable wingsweep supersonic bomber.
5. i guess my music taste is a little weird. its a mix of indie rock, punk, and ska, and my friends can only tolerate parts of it.
79- What’s your favourite scent? And on the opposite sex?
i wear old spice and nautica. if i’’m being honest i get it from my dad, thats what he used to wear when i was little and it reminds me of working on our old boat with him.
on the opposite sex, i definitely prefer natural scents, like vanilla and stuff, over manufactured perfumes, but the particular scents i like tend to be more subject to who they remind me of and what the person i’m with wears.
85- Favorite place to shop at?
i don’t do a ton of shopping, but there’s a sporting goods shop in my hometown called Bill Jackson’s that had an annual diving gear sale, and a really reliable diving center. there’s a place i go to shot when im on the gulf coast called Shooter’s World, and while it kind of caters to the tacticool kind of shooter, it also has a decent selection of sporting guns and handguns, plus the people there put any political rhetoric out the window, i’ve never heard any weird 2nd-amendment-rights bullshit while i’m there. the range officers are really reliable too, its a place i feel safe and comfortable shooting at.
88- Are you more like your mom or your dad?
probably my dad, but i take after both of them. my temper comes from my dad. he’s the kind of person that has a short temper and no time for bullshit, but has spent his life learning to handle that. i’ve never seen him raise a hand against someone, ive never seen him become unjustifiably angry or violent. im hot-blooded as he is and i’m working to be as level-headed as he is. i get my politics from him. he’s pragmatic and reasonable, but not emotionally disconnected.
i get my smartassery from my mom, and my moral compass is a weird amalgam of my mom’s family’s compassion and my dad’s reasoning. they’re both good people, even if they watch weird anime. my mom also spends a lot of time outside working on her plants, and ive done a good bit of yard work with her, but they both raised me to be an outside kid.
96- Where would you like to live?
anywhere with ocean. i like the Caribbean, it’s familiar waters are something i understand, but the planet is heating up and it’s getting less and less pleasant to live in Florida. as long as there’s a coastline, where i can sail and dive, somewhere with living, breathing ocean, i’ll settle down.
121- What is the first thing you noticed in someone?
it’s never the same. i usually look for intelligence and compassion. also, self-sufficiency and independence. strong women good.
144- What turns you on?
huge fan of intense intimacy. making out is extra groovy. fingers in hair, neck kissing, intense making out. as far as stuff like BDSM goes, i’m into it, but its subjective to my partner. if the girl i’m with isn’t into it, there’s no point in it. definitely a butt person, and i definitely like noise. silent sex is only fun if you need to be silent.
Had to come back to add this: eating pussy is very good and men who don't do it are both cowards and missing out.
180- Share a song that takes you to a certain memory in the past:
The Wheel by The Grateful Dead. specifically, the recording from their performance at the Knickerbocker arena in Albany. also, Ruby Soho by Rancid. my dad used to have a mix CD that he made that he would play on long car rides, and i used to fall asleep to that Grateful Dead song.
189- What’s something you can see yourself going to jail for?
hospitalizing someone. i’m generally careful about things that would put me in jail, because that poses a risk to my security clearance in the future, which i need to work in most of the aerospace industry. but i’m six feet tall and i wear big black combat boots and if anyone lays a finger on someone i care about i’ll kick their teeth out. there was this guy bothering a girl i’m friends with and my brother and i were preparing to show up to his dorm as a brute squad and tell him to step down. she talked to him first and he handled it better than we expected. i still wanted to throw him into the mosh pit at the Authority Zero show,  but axel talked me out of that.
195- You’re an Action Movie Hero. What’s your weapon of choice and the line you scream when defeating your arch enemy?
gun. i’m good at guns, they’re pretty effective. i think, uh, something like “when you get to hell tell them who sent you” but i’m not usually one for drama like that.
219- Which movie character do you most identify with and why?
I really like Kale Tucker from Titan A.E., he’s a bum on a ship in space, i grew up as a bum on a sailboat. we both like heavy metal and space babes. he’s also voiced by Matt Damon, which is why matt damon seems so natural in sci-fi movies to me.
224- Something that you’re proud of:
i work really well under pressure. i tend to be an anxious mess until something actually goes wrong and i need to react and then i switch modes. i think its from diving, where all you have is the stuff you brought down with you (including air) and you have to keep completely cool if something goes wrong. i have lots of first aid and emergency response training/experience as an eagle scout, and being ready to respond if something bad happens is a skill im happy to have.
if you haven’t gone and followed this absolute babe yet go do it.
