Things I have done: written a 75 page pre-BTAS Jason Blood/Bruce Wayne fic AND drew myself a comic cover for it

Reasons to read it:

20-something Bruce pining desperately over the first other goth he meets, especially upon discovering that this other goth is essentially bulletproof

Jason Blood hates grading papers and loves quietly saying horrible sarcastic things

very bad pizza

20-something Bruce does not understand why his fiance left him and his college boyfriend also left him

I mean. An explanation for why Bruce canonically buys Jason a million dollar cattle prod and why his response to Tim asking if Jason is his friend is a smirking, self-satisfied “you don’t know the half of it”

(Also let’s be really clear the tone of the fic definitely leans more towards this:

than the cover but like. Whatever. There’s some demons and swords and shit in there too. And plenty of good old fashioned roof lurking.)

harewolf, a warrior whose skills are best at night-- specifically under the glow of the full moon. big rivals with a guy named bloodbat, a red-point rumored to drink blood as if it's water, like some sort of weirdo. .. warewolf could be possible too but its a little more questionable (ware being the adjective ware, though its kind of a weird name. unless your queen is likely to name a kit "awarekit" i guess)

Possible avenues for reveal in the Vampire!Kallus AU:

The old standby: Kallus puts off drinking blood long enough that he faints/can't wake up for his shift/is otherwise incapacitated.

Zeb can see that Kallus is eating food, but the human appears to be losing weight, not gaining it. So he takes Kallus to get checked for worms. Or just plonks a bottle of wormicide down in front of him. You choose.

Chopper gets caught in the middle of raiding the blood bank for Kallus.

Rebellion Intelligence obtains a data packet from an older Imperial laboratory. They're combing through it when one tech goes "uhhhh" and waves Draven over. Turns out the files contain pictures of Project Phoenix's one surviving test subject.

Captured Imperial catches sight of Kallus and starts yelling, "I'll tell you everything, just don't let him eat me!"

Kallus gets caught in the communal showers.

bonus post-reveal idea: there's an Alderaani equivalent of vampire bats. When Cassian finds out about Kallus, the older Fulcrum's nickname becomes "oversized bloodbat."

No one asked for it but here are my headcanons in terms of Pirate Nolan Stormgate's tattoos and scars.

Orange

Myth Sigil: After he graduated from Ravenwood, he tattooed the myth sigil so he doesn't have to use a wand on the seas.

Yellow

Earthquake & Bubbles (head): I don't know when he would get this one, but I imagine it was shortly after his first year as a myth student. It is probably the smallest not counting the sigils.

Myth Symbol Eye (neck; not featured): He gets this tattoo roughly into his thirties as the eye covers the front of his neck.

Bloodbats (left leg): He gets a tattoo of a swarm of bats circling around his leg in his twenties. Other sailors think it is because he braved the Haunted Skyways, but in reality he just likes bloodbats.

Light Blue

Kraken Tattoo: As an enrollment gift, Nolan's parents paid for a tattoo and he went all out. The main kraken is over his bicep, the rest is just tentacles including some that run along his neck and over his ear. It covers a bit of his back as well.

Dark Blue

Family Crest: On his back and over his heart is a tattoo of his family's flag. This was the first tattoo he ever got, and his parents only agreed to it because it was their symbol and they thought it was sweet.

His front is still empty because he wants to tattoo his own flag when he decides on one.

Purple

Lichtenberg Figures: These scars are from his attempts at divination. He views them as a universal punishment for him deviating from being a Witchdoctor, but he continues on despite it. They tend to light up when he uses magic, and sometimes they cause immense pain.

Lichtenberg Names: I imagine he has tattooed the names of his crew along the 'branches' of his scars, it is also the first thing he does when he lands somewhere with a tattoo artist around.

Indigo

Storm Sigil: After he graduated from Ravenwood, he tattooed the storm sigil so he doesn't have to use a wand on the seas.

Bonus: Piercings

He has several piercings along his ears, but he usually has one in at a time. When they are fully decorated the jewelry consists of pure gold and different blue gemstones.

He has a tongue piercing he got with some other Skull Island kids. He obtained it before attending Ravenwood, but none of the other students believed him when he told them thinking Nolan was just being the most again.

Other Notes

I know pirates don't actually typically get tattoos, but I wanted to give him some because tattoos have always been an interest of mine.

The reason he gets a lot of these later in life is a) Your twenties to thirties are the best times to get tattoos due to your skin thinning later in life and b) I think it would be hilarious for there to be a Ravenwood reunion and Nolan just shows up completely covered in tattoos.

I went back to a Jason Blood/Bruce pre-BTAS DCAU fic I started like five years ago recently, and decided I needed to draw mid-80's Jason, who's still a little stuck in the 70's. Mid-80's Recent Grad Student Bruce just wants to bury his face in Jason's hair until he suffocates because his fiance just left him and *this* tragically beautiful person is MOSTLY not a criminal and also *immortal.*

The Pirates of Wefrivain

The gryphon Felbane and Tzu the bloodbat survey the area from the windswept cliffs. Another piece for Abigail Hilton (@alhilton), an illustration for a short story set late in the excellent Pirates of Wefrivain series.

This series is... something else. It’s an epic fantasy saga, but far from genre typical. It’s queer, it has xenofiction, pirate ships and airships, and is packed with interesting worlbuilding, nuanced characters and unexpected story arcs. It’s dark, heartwarming, funny, and enthralling.

It’s very dear to me. If Hunter’s Unlucky is my favourite novel, Pirates of Wefrivain is my favourite book series.

The author is working on a re-launch of the entire saga, previously known as The Guild of the Cowry Catchers. E-book and paper versions of all five books can be bought from the Zon here, or directly from the author here. If you prefer audio, I believe they’ll be available soon.

Terror is a prankster, always spooking everyone with his teleportation, which is like Nightcrawlers from X-Men(Smoke Cloud and a Noise similar to Bomf). He finds phobia’s fascinating, especially the rare ones. He’s the brawn to Puzzle’s Brain. Real Name is Karl Brunt, and he’s 6’

Treble is mute, he loves music. at this point Music Meister has unofficially adopted him. The way that kinetic aura works is, the more he moves the stronger it gets and thus the harder it hits. he can even share it with others if his built it up enough. Real name is Harris Harper.

BloodBat is a Human Red Lantern, under the construct of a man bat, he’s a redhead, with hazel eyes, a goatee, and a lanky body. His real name is Alowishus Hawk-Jones, and he’s 6'6. BloodBat is 8'4, and wields a battle axe. BloodBat is a berserker, but he’s not Rage Blind, his knowledge on how to use his ring is unparalleled. When in BloodBat form, Al has the physical attributes of ballistic gel, he can get shot and cut and all he’ll get is annoyed. He calls Croc, Cousin Waylon, not to be condescending or annoying to Waylon but to remind the big lug that he’s human, and that he has family that cares about him. Alowishus is a very good friend of most of the rouges and usually tries to brighten their days when they’re in Arkham(Bring Vic the latest report on Nora, Asking Harvey who won today, Giving Ed a New crossword book everyday, Etc). BloodBat also doesn’t like the dirty or bad cops of GCPD and will hospitalize them. He will even fight Batman, if he messes with Waylon, Grace, or Victor.
