I got blocked. People tend to do that after a while of engaging someone they don't agree with. But I think this topic is too important to let pass by. Here's the response I was typing before the blocking got the post deleted out from under me:

Please read this: I am not denying the facts that some people are racist. I am also not denying the fact that you, or racist people, or people in general, all feel things about one another (sometimes, things specifically about our worth and value) thanks to "people with certain character traits represented on a screen."

Again: I am not denying the above statements.

What I am doing is calling out the fact that "people with certain character traits represented on a screen" should not affect how humans view one another's value. At all.

I am saying, the fact that we, as a culture, ever got to the place where "being up on screen", or "being portrayed a certain way up on screen," or "HAVING A CERTAIN COLOR OF SKIN" = "you have value or exist," WAS ALWAYS. WRONG.

That was always the problem.

You certainly can't make it right with the same type of thinking. You can't heal a cannonball wound by shooting a different style of cannonball into it.

it's so crazy I'm being vague posted about with my own screenshots from my own kindle by teenagers who will stan Rhys and be anti Nesta and will still say its different that Tamlin was abusive towards Feyre but not Rhys with Feyre/Nesta. like. babygirl, they're both abusive. both of them. they are doing the same thing of abusing their power. considering I have this girl blocked, I'm guessing someone is possibly doing the leg work for her

I have thought about this way to much (probably from all the POVs on tiktok that explore this concept) and I need to know the answer to this.

What would you do if a Faery Prince came to your door and told you, you were coming with them?

You don't know the Faery, but you know they are a Fae Prince. Idk how, they just give off those vibes ig. You have no idea what they are going to do, and depending on what books you've read, you might have an idea of either they are going to boil and eat you, they will turn you into a slave, or they will make you their queen/king/co-ruler.

Personally, I am slamming that door so hard it'll break their nose, then nailing boards into my door in that cartoonish style, and remaining locked up in my house for days after to ensure they are gone.

I don't take no risks when it comes to ancient creatures. No one knows wtf they are going to do, and I do not believe it would ever pan out well in my personal favor.

But what would you do? And why? I know a lot of people would go with them, others are saying hell no, and I want to know what everyone thinks of this.

Because the greeting post yesterday elicited quite the dazzling response, I thought it would be a good idea to start an introduction thread! If you consider yourself a part of our community, reblog and share your details. We are excited to see more people returning to Spring and giving it the love it deserves. - Name : CeCe

- Member since: I first read ACOTAR in December, so officially then. I did not find the community until a few months after hearing the spoilers for what happens to our beloved Tam. It was my personal choice to stop reading the books and continue writing Tam’s story my own way. He deserves better!

But, officially, I believe I arrived in early March.

- Favorite part of canon: I genuinely enjoy the first book, despite its quality issues and lack of consistency. It’s a guilty pleasure read for sure. My favorite part of Tamlin’s storyline or character is truthfully his good heart. No matter how much people villainize him, the text itself fights to prove that he has a good heart — despite that it does not always lead him perfectly.

- Favorite headcanon: I have so many; but right now it really is that Tamlin is terrified of thunderstorms.

- Main ships: Tamlin / happiness. Feylin. Tamcien. FeyTamCien. He’s easy to love and easy to ship.

- Main work: Fiction! Currently a retelling of the first book from his perspective.

In case you're wondering, Feyre's arm tattoo is green because Tamlin could undo her treaty. She doesn't owe anyone anything, period.😎

ACOTAR is a standalone book for me, so it's just my interpretation of the true ending. Just two of them enjoying the sun in the Spring Court after all the events.

Also, I want to say big thanks to @bookishfeylin and other talented people for supporting Feylin ship, cause it's so important to apply common sense and logic to see the truth (and not turn a blind eye to author's retcons).

Alright so for the last day I decided to do a drawing from the fanfic that actually led me here which was a @bookishfeylin fic A court of healing and shifting. Honestly amazing LOA gets rescued, Nesta gets rescued, the Illyrian women get to heal, we get more black characters, its amazing.

still thinking about how often tamlin gets made fun of for playing the fiddle. it's legit just a violin, the only real difference is the kind of music played on it and fiddle music is usually associated with the poor or working folks

actually it stands to reason, with how close Tamlin is to his people, that he actually learned fiddle music FROM the poorer and working folks. It's regular everyday """violin""" music for the average person, it just goes by a different name

seeing ppl making fun of Tamlin playing the fiddle is weird. sure I suppose it can be "silly" or "cringy" I guess but it still doesn't sit well. That music is heavily inspired in Appalachia where a decent amount came from scottish and Irish descent

you can say "its not that deep" all you want but considering how SJM writes class and class traitors and the way she's from a yt suburbia in New York who went to a fancy private college

and then proceeded to have her raging violent abusive™️ ex™️ boyfriend™️ play the fiddle, a keystone, historical instrument of poor folks

three ships: feylin (always), but also neslin has very recently been on my mind (something about two characters done dirty by the author having their happily ever after way from all their stressors just rings right). and rhysta, bc the best ships are the ones where they can't tell if they love or hate each other. (honorable mention to twiyor bc i've been so obsessed with them and spyxfamily recently).

first ever ship: ooo idk i think it was harry/hermione! i don't ship them now (the only ships in the hp universe that make me feel some kind of way are blinny and the very rare pair of charlie/fleur oddly enough) but harmione (?) were my first as far as my memory serves right
