Sometimes I will carry my bird (who did not go to bird school and so doesn't know how to fly) over to a tree that he especially evolved a big beak to tear shreds off of while his big claws hung on to the trunk of it, and he will go no thankyou I would like to use these big claws to hold on to the very top of your head instead. And this big beak to eat your hairclip. And I will go okay I will take you inside and we can sit on the couch and share a croissant.

you know how you used to be a kid just making potions in the backyard out of random leaves and bark and all that shit in puddles of water and it was so fun? well what they DON'T tell you is if you dedicate yourself to dodgy at-home chemistry-based herbalism from a young age you can do the exact same thing as an adult and it tastes just as fucking bad

#unfortunately because i'm going for function and not taste here it's um. Well it's bad #desperately shoving a horrifying cocktail of leaves and bark and honey into a cup of water and microwaving it hoping for the fucking best #the mix is um. peppermint leaves/sheoak bark/flax lily leaves/bottlebrush leaves/tī kōuka leaves. if this means anything to anyone here. #with a lil bit of honey i added to try and trick myself into believing it'll improve the taste.
